"Val, no." Jesse sighs, standing up as well, but to start grabbing the plates. "Look. Today has been a lot, and I think it's better to save it for tomorrow when-"

Valerie scoffs, crossing her arms, "Please, Jesse. I have been spending this entire week sitting around here when I could've been working on something, and now this is happening?? I'm not holding off any longer!"

"Jesse has a point though..." Aisha says, glancing up at Valerie with a seemingly worried expression. "You should rest, Valerie. Didn't you go head-to-head with that cultist guy?"

"And I came out of it alive! Therefore, I am fine!" Valerie responds, looking annoyed at just Aisha.

"No Val." Kai responds from the couch, "Take it from me, your body needs rest, especially if fighting isn't the norm for ya."

My newest OC, Steve Catams, who is a catboy cowboy! His ex-wife cheated on him and he found out when realizing the kid they were expecting and he was so excited for looked ABSOLUTELY nothing like him, and so now, instead of doing something silly like confront his own feelings about her infidelity in a healthy way or deal with the logistics of a separation from her, he just kinda told her that he was taking some cattle driving jobs to get space and that he expected her out within a year, and then just. Never came back to town. He knows deep down that he SHOULD, but... It'd be so awkward and uncomfortable now, and he can just stay on the road instead...
