Have you named pets after fandoms besides precious Calcifer? When I was 11 I convinced my parents to name our, at the time new puppy, Duchess after the cat Duchess in Aristocats. We currently have Sherlock, a 10 yr old bull terrier mix who is actually quite a smart dog, Bofur, a 7yr old who knows what terrier dog, and Zuko, who is at least one year old, a red betta fish. We have other pets but none named after fandoms.

We used to own goldfish named after Ashitaka and San from Mononoke Hime! And my rescue beardie was named Balse after the spell from Castle in the Sky, plus our dog's name is Pazu from that movie as well! As you can see most of the pets we've owned are named after Studio Ghibli characters/theme lol
