Three Hearts As One | C.S, J.WY
AO3 Link | Masterlist
Summary: It had been a good day. That should have been the first warning sign that something was about to go horribly wrong. After all, how much peace can you expect in an apocalypse?
Pairing: Choi San x F!Reader x Jung Wooyoung
Genre: Zombie apocalypse AU, angst
Word Count: 2k
Warning(s): Major character death (so sorry)
A/N: Despite being short and sad, this is one of my personal favorites! Based on a dream I had that was way too realistic and also Wooyoung saying that if a zombie apocalypse happened and San turned into a zombie, he would want San to bite him because that would be less upsetting than being on his own.
It had been a good day. The traps you had set the night before were filled with game, and you had full stomachs for the first time in forever. Wooyoung’s ankle was finally feeling better after he twisted it running from a horde a few weeks ago. San even found a creek that ran off into the most beautiful lake, and the three of you bathed and played around in it for hours. Things almost felt normal, as if you were just three people in love on a beautiful summer day, enjoying each other’s company.
That should have been the first warning sign that something was about to go horribly wrong. After all, how much peace can you expect in an apocalypse?
You stare at the bite with wide eyes, blood turning to ice in your veins. This can’t be happening—not to one of you, not after you have made it this far. You’re three days away from what is supposedly the safest compound in the nation, armed with soldiers and doctors working towards a cure. A cure! But that won’t help you now. Not when it only takes a few hours to turn. Despite the freshness of the wound, it’s obvious the infection has already begun to spread. San’s skin is marred with greenish-purple bruising, and black veins pulsate around the outside of the bite, pumping the toxin further into his bloodstream.
The swarm came out of nowhere, ambushing the three of you in a pharmacy where you were looking for supplies. One of you—you can’t even remember who at this point, it doesn’t matter—opened a door that set off an alarm. It didn’t take more than a minute for your good day to become hell on earth. You tried to get out the same way you got in, but the runners had already blocked it off. You had no choice but to try to climb up one of the pharmacy shelves and squeeze out through a window. San made sure that you and Wooyoung went first, taking care of you the way he always does, and that’s when it happened.
He didn’t even notice at first, too focused on trying to get everyone to safety, too much adrenaline pumping in his veins. The bite shouldn’t have been able to reach his skin, but the duct tape he had wrapped around his forearms was too old and worn; you had been looking for a new roll for weeks and couldn’t find one. You’re not sure how long it took, but eventually, you made it to a house that was strongly barricaded, and the horde lost track of you. After checking the house for threats—whether that be other zombies or hostile survivors—you finally had a chance to catch your breaths.
Now, San stands frozen, cradling his arm to his chest. He hasn’t taken his eyes away from the bite since he noticed it, not even blinking, pupils blown wide. Wooyoung whimpers, looking between the two of you frantically as if hoping that one of you might magically have a solution that doesn’t involve a bullet to the brain.
You instinctively reach for your gun, and Wooyoung grabs your hand.
“No! No, you can’t.”
“Woo…”
“No! Stop it, please. He’s going to be fine.” He gives you one last stern look before moving away from you and towards San. He moves slowly, with a gentleness he only ever exudes in the most serious of situations.
Lightly stroking the side of San’s face to wake him from his daze, Wooyoung murmurs, “Darling…”
San snaps to attention, backing away from Wooyoung and pressing himself against the wall. He curls into himself, trying to make himself as small as possible. You feel as if your heart is being torn out of your chest, watching him physically try to distance himself from the both of you.
“Don’t… don’t come near me. You should both stay away from me.”
“Sannie, please, don’t be like this. You should let Y/N clean the wound, at least.”
He shakes his head. “No, don’t waste the supplies.”
“Waste…? No, stop it. You’re going to be fine; we just need to—”
“Wooyoung.” You hug him from behind, partly for his comfort but mostly for yours. You can feel his body shaking, the way he’s barely holding himself together.
“Please,” his voice trembles. “Please, I need one of you to tell me that it will all be okay. Please, please.”
You squeeze your eyes shut, wishing it was enough to block out the reality unfolding before you. San has been the glue keeping Wooyoung together since everything first started. How are you supposed to make him accept what has to happen without breaking him completely?
Despite the situation, San still manages to smile, though it doesn’t reach his eyes. “Baby, it’s okay.”
“What? No, it’s not. Nothing is okay! We are so close! Let’s just get to the compound and they can fix you—”
Your voice is muffled against Wooyoung’s back. “We’re too far away, and we don’t even know if the cure is ready ye—“
Wooyoung jerks himself out of your hold, stepping closer to San who flinches away from him and slides further down the wall, burying his face in his knees. “Stop! Stop combatting everything I say! Do you want him to die?!”
You know he’s speaking from a place of desperation, of fear, but the words hurt you just the same. “Wooyoung, how could you even say that? Of course I don’t, I love him! I’m just—“
“Please stop fighting. Please.” San’s voice is weak, yet he still manages to stop the both of you in your tracks. “I don’t want my last memory of you to be… to be something so angry.”
Wooyoung looks at San and his gaze immediately softens. “This will not be your last memory. There has to be another option, we are not killing you!”
“I’m already dead, baby.”
Both you and Wooyoung freeze, the fight completely draining out of you. Those four words break whatever resolve Wooyoung had left, and he lets out a heart-wrenching sob. He stumbles over to San, and this time San lets him approach, looking at him with sad eyes. He doesn’t resist as Wooyoung forces himself half onto his lap—all he does is make sure his injured arm is hidden safely behind his back so that there is no risk of contamination.
Through tears, Wooyoung asks, “What if… what if we just let it happen? We just let him turn, and he can turn us, and we can all stay together—“
San stops him short. “Wooyoung, no. I won’t become one of those things. I won’t lose my humanity, and I won’t hurt you. Either of you.” He meets your gaze over Wooyoung’s head, eyes shimmering with unshed tears. “I need the both of you to survive. You deserve to make it. To finally live safely, happy, and free of worry.”
You let out a shuddering breath. “You deserve that too, Sannie, as much as either of us. It’s the three of us against the world, remember?”
“Three hearts as one,” Wooyoung whispers.
“My heart will always be yours. That won’t change, even when I’m gone.”
Wooyoung grabs the hem of San’s shirt, crumpling the fabric in his fist. He holds onto it so tightly his knuckles turn white, as if he’s lost at sea and it’s his only lifeline. He opens his mouth to say something but nothing comes out except choked sobs, his chest heaving with panicked breaths. San pulls him close, burying his head into his chest and placing a kiss on his temple.
You finally break down and move to join them, slotting yourself against San’s opposite side and throwing one of your arms around Wooyoung. San looks at you with adoring eyes, a tear finally escaping. You reach up and brush it away with your free hand before leaning forward to kiss him for what may very well be the last time. However, he turns his head, so your lips hit his cheek instead. For a moment, you’re heartbroken, but San quickly notices the hurt clouding your expression and explains.
“You can get infected through bodily fluids. There’s no way of knowing if—” his voice cracks, and he clears his throat, but he can no longer stop himself from crying. “We can’t risk it, as much as I want to. God, do I want to.”
A few moments pass in silence as the three of you cry together in a heap on the floor, your bodies touching wherever they can. It is so hard to accept that this is the last time you will feel each other like this, the last time you will feel the warmth of San’s body and the steady beating of his heart. You’ve been together since the start, falling more deeply in love with every passing day. Luckily, you and Wooyoung will still have one another, but neither of you will ever be whole again.
Wooyoung finally speaks again, words muffled against San’s chest. “You can’t leave, please… you always take care of us.”
San laughs through his tears. “You have taken care of me too, you know. You will be okay without me. Both of you will.”
San’s laughter turns into coughing, and he pushes the both of you away, covering his mouth with his elbow. You quickly stand, pulling Wooyoung up with you and farther away. Surprisingly, he doesn’t resist. When San moves his arm, his sleeve is dotted with blood. He shuts his eyes and takes a deep breath before pulling out his gun. He empties the barrel, except for one singular bullet, and rolls the rest towards you.
“Take them; they’re the same ones that you use.”
You reach down to pick them up, but your hands shake so much that it takes you a couple of tries. Wooyoung begins to pace behind you, repeatedly muttering, “no, no, no,” under his breath.
“I want you both to leave me here, okay? Neither of you has to see this.”
“No, absolutely not.” You speak firmly, with no room for argument. “You will not die alone. I won’t let that happen. I’ll take Woo to another room and—”
“No!” Wooyoung yells. You and San shoot him a look, the both of you still worried about potential lurkers outside despite the situation. Wooyoung quiets his voice and continues, “I will not leave. We are in this together, just like everything else so far. And I’m not… I won’t let you do it yourself, are you kidding me?”
San’s eyes widen. “No, I can’t ask you to do that.”
You crouch in front of him, caress his face, and tell him, “You don’t always have to be strong, you know?” He instinctively nuzzles into your hand, just like he always does, before backing away from you and your touch.
“I…” He looks at both of you and, for the first time, he lets the fear show itself on his face. “Okay. Please stay. Please don’t leave me alone.”
“Never, my love. Never.” You kiss his forehead before taking the gun from his hand and backing away.
Wooyoung mimics you and places a lingering kiss on San’s forehead, murmuring a soft, “I love you,” and joining you at your side.
“I love you too, baby. I love you both with everything I have, until the end of time.” He wipes his eyes with the back of his hand and then nods. “I’m ready.”
You raise the gun, shaking so badly you can barely hold it steady. Wooyoung comes up behind you and wraps his arms around you, giving you the support you need to straighten your aim. He buries his head into your neck and you can feel tears against your skin. You make eye contact with San over the barrel and he is looking at you with nothing but adoration and love, just like always.
“I love you so much.”
He smiles and mouths, “I love you more.”
And then you pull the trigger.

Zombieland PT. 1
Fem!Reader x Soobin, Yeonjun, and Beomgyu
The collapse of modern civilization leaves you stranded in a wasteland filled with flesh-eating living-dead corpses. The decaying humanoid mutations plague the city, forcing you to leave your apartment in search of supplies despite you having zero (0) survival instincts. Of course the world has ended, but you'll be damned if that stops you from trying to woo the cute group of boys who you find yourself surviving alongside of.
This is a zombieland movie inspired fic, meaning I am not original !
TW: This fic includes
Brains, guts, GORE!
Hand holding!
Lame fighting scenes!
more gore!
Homie-hopping reader!
Stolen scenes from the amazing movie that is Zombieland
Bi female reader!
You were a hardcore survivor.
A ruthless zombie-killing machine with impeccable cat-like reflexes (learned through video games but that doesn't matter)
You could do parkour if you wanted to, really. I mean you've never really done it before but you were confident enough in yourself to know if push came to shove you could probably scale a building or pull yourself over a ledge with sheer upper body strength...because adrenaline, duh. Yeah, maybe even do a back flip if the occasion called for it, no biggie (you have never done a back flip in your life).
I mean how hard could it really be? Dying light, The Last of Us, Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead, all taught you what it meant to be prepare yourself in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, you were a survivor.
Or at least you like to think of yourself as one.
In your twenty-two years of existence you would often describe yourself as a main character. You were good-looking, smart-enough-to-make-it-into-an-average-college smart, kind of athletic (passing PE with a C plus), and very heavily into video games and comics, but more importantly you were good-looking.
So once again, yes. You were a survivor. Or at least you were the textbook definition of a survivor given your current predicament of maybe being one of the last actual living, breathing, non-zombified person in the state...maybe even the country. The outbreak began in the United States, and the government was quick to close down national borders to prevent the infection from continuing to spread, though what have they done since then? Nothing. Or you assume nothing given that it had been eight weeks and no new information was being broadcast anywhere. You assume they cut their losses and decided to colonize another country; naming it the New United States of America, or something along those lines.
Honestly, it's amazing how quickly things can go from bad to worse. Shit hit the fan in a matter of hours after patient zero ate a contaminated pack of gas station sushi and subsequently ended all of America. Since then, it had been two months. The broadcasting systems began looping the same content after the fifth day, probably because the news anchors and production team were eaten. The only display on your TV for the next week after the initial outbreak was the the typical emergency alert warning citizens to stay indoors and barricade all windows and entrances, avoiding contact with the infected or any individual who might be exhibiting aggressive and symptomatic behavior.
You didn't have to be told twice. You stayed inside your cozy little apartment for the next two months (meaning: Until today). You remained hopeful that your dear country and aiding government leaders would come up with a plan to evacuate any remaining citizens but that hope quickly vanished and was soon replaced with bitterness. The only two good things about your situation were 1) you knew your parents were safe, probably house hunting in the Bahamas by now and 2) being that you were a broke college student you had bulk packets of long lasting cheap food and bottled water.
Yeah, the lucky bastards had decided to go on a vacation a week before the outbreak. Maybe If you hadn't been such an introvert then perhaps you would've accompanied them to their trip in the Bahamas where they were still staying at, safe and sound enjoying margaritas by the beach.
But no. the new season of Attack on Titan was dropping and you wanted to binge.
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, because you were now down to your last ramen packet and the electricity—which had surprisingly lasted a while—had been cut off since three days ago. You knew your decrepit cheap ass apartment was probably an isolated building that experienced electricity loss since you knew for a fact the building owner never invested in newer appliances and thus your building would experience very frequent black outs.
All that being said, today was the day you were putting your survival instincts to good use as you were planning on leaving this dump and scavenging for supplies.
You had your laced your cute combat boots up extra tight and gave them a double knot so you didn't trip and fall. You squeezed into your favorite pair of jeans that made your legs and ass look amazing (You don't blame the zombies for wanting a piece of you, honestly) and an iconic cropped tight fitted T that said "Bite me" with a heart at the end (it's giving 2014 "she put her hair up in a messy bun" Wattpad fic but i just wanna emphasize how HOT you are)
You adjusted your baseball cap, grabbing a hold of your titanium bat and adorably small potted barrel cactus before flinging your duffel over your shoulder and letting out a determined huff. Thankfully your dog was with your parents in the Bahamas, so all you had to look out for was Flora, your cactus. Lulu was one lucky dog.
You gave your home one last look before exiting into the dingy hall way of your gross apartment building. Brown dried up blood sprayed the walls and some mysterious green substance pooled against the ceiling but those things had been there since before the outbreak, so had the cracked widows so really nothing out of the ordinary for you. You thot-walked to the elevators at the end of the hall and frowned, of course they weren't running, the electricity was out. You stopped for a second and used your big brain. you were in the fifth floor, jumping from a window was a no-go so you would have to settle for the scary emergency stairs you dreaded using even before the outbreak.
You held your breath as you made it out into the emergency exit hallway, peaking down and then up at the rows of stairs that were dimly lit by the dirty ass windows. You decided to drop a loose piece of tile down the five flights of stairs you had to go down, letting it crack loudly as it made contact with the ground floor, and then you waited. Listening closely in case you heard snarling gathering where the tile dropped, yet nothing but silence followed.
"Ok!" you silently cheered, looks like you were going to make it out of this building in one piece!
bouncing down the stairs happily, you began humming to yourself only to stop short as a pathetic yell startled you.
You jumped in place and stopped. Two beats of silence passed and your heart began decelerating. Had you imagined it? Had you imagined such a pathetic and voice cracked infused scream? Or was there really a twelve year old girl wandering these halls? You didn't have to ponder for long because a second later the door on the floor right above you slammed opened followed by multiple foot steps running down the stairs catching up to you.
You stood petrified as you made eye contact with the man who continued to let out pathetic whimpers as two zombies gurgled and moaned following behind him closely.
His eyes widen at your figure and he began waving his arms back and forth frantically
"Run! Run!" Yeah, there was no mistaking the voice cracks as he yelled at you, this had been the supposed twelve year old little girl, except it was a six foot tall man squealing. And said six foot tall man and his pack of zombies were approaching you quickly. You rouse yourself from your stupor and let out a wail matching the guy behind you as you turn and begin booking it down, even skipping some of the steps in order to reach the front entrance faster all the while the man is yelling more incoherent words mixed in with "Go's" and "hurry's"
"Why did you lead them hereee!" You finally make it to the ground level and immediately book it to the sign that read EXIT in big red letters. Your heart had leaped into your throat and the adrenaline that surged through you made you reach the door in two seconds flat. You throw yourself onto the door, slamming it open and then quickly do a 180, fully intent on slamming the door shut on this man-child who instilled the fear of god into you for no good reason.
You clutch the handle and go to slam it back shut only to make pitable eye contact once again with the behemoth of a man. He looked so sad.
Dammit. Pathetic men always got to you.
You hesitated and motioned with your hand for him to hurry leaving the door open just an inch for him to squeeze through. His long legs didn't do him justice, it felt too long until he was close to the door
and then...!
he trips!
You watch in what feels like slow motion as he clumsily tumbles over his giant feet before finally slamming onto the concrete a few feet from the door. You smile in disbelief.
There's no way haha...
without thinking you allow your duffel bag to fall off your shoulder alongside your cactus before flinging yourself back into the hall way bringing your bat up in position as the first zombie reached for you. You swing with all your might and thank GOD you make solid contact. The sound of it's jaw cracking followed by blood hitting the floor like thick water would have definitely made you hyperventilate (You just demolished a use-to-be person) but you didn't have time to process it as the second zombie crashed into you before you could even blink. You yell as it grabs you by the shirt and tugs you impossibly close to its clamping jaws except it only ends up biting your bat as you managed to bring it up between the two of you last second.
All you could hear were your own screams mixed in with the growling and gurgling of the infected. All you could feel were its hands ripping your cute shirt and suspending you in the air for a second before he was yanked off you. You thud onto the floor and gasp, inching yourself backwards until your back hits the wall, eyes frantically watching as the man you saved throws the zombie against the wall before he cocks his revolver (You were going to chew him out for not bringing it out earlier) and shoots the he-zombie point blank. You let out another gasp and bring your hands up to cover your ears as the loud boom echoed throughout the hall. You squeeze your eyes shut as you feel thick liquid and brain matter splatter onto your face and hair.
There's a ringing in your ears and for a second this all feels fake. The aching of your arm after you slammed onto the ground, the blood running down your face, your nails digging into your scalp as you desperately try and block out any noise from entering your ears.
You don't care to look and see if the other zombie went down with the one blow you gave it, or if the man was still in front of you. You just wanted everything to stop.
There's no way this is happening There's no way this is happening There's no way this is happening There's no--
You feel two large hands press themselves against your own covering your ears and you allow your eyes to flicker open. Thankfully his tall frame kneeled in front of you blocked your view from the zombie gore, and the warmness of his hands stopped your blood pressure from dropping too much. You didn't feel like going into shock at this moment.
The two of you stare at one another for a few seconds.
You watched as his chest heaved up and down then his lips begin moving but you can't hear him. Slowly he releases his hands from atop your own and you unhook your nails from your hair.
"Are you okay? I-I'm really sorry for tripping like that and—and involving you—"
"Can you carry me?"
"W-what?"
"I...um, I don't think I can w-walk right now a-and I kinda really wanna get out of this hallway" You whisper. He stays silent for a second before nodding slowly then faster.
"Right, just close your eyes" you feel him getting closer and you instinctively squeeze your eyelids shut as he moves out of frame. His hands move underneath your knees which were already up at your chest and then his arm slips around your waist. You don't open your eyes until you feel the hot sun hitting your face and you hear the door closing behind the two of you.
He stops, and you can tell he doesn't know whether to put you down or give you a moment to gather yourself, so he awkwardly sways in place and then...he begins rocking you like a baby.
"Shh shh, it's okay" he pats your thigh. What the hell?
"Okay not too much now" You untangle yourself from his arms and flop down a little ungracefully to the ground while the guy runs his hands through his hair and looks around awkwardly yet again.
"Sorry, you looked like you were going to throw up or something—oh yeah, just like that" You interrupt him as bile projectiles out of your throat onto the the grass at his feet.
"That's—damn, okay" he mumbles side stepping from the splash zone. You yak and dry heave a few more times, placing your hands on your knees to balance yourself before bringing the back of your wrist up to your lips.
"Feel better?" You give him a side-eye and he smiles akwardly.
"I'm—ahem" his clears his throat after a voice crack "—I'm Soobin" he rocks back and forth on the balls of his feet while waiting for you to introduce yourself but you don't.
"Ok...I'm gonna go, Soobin" Your voice is hoarse after all that vomiting, but you don't care. You stumble past Soobin, stopping for a second as you see how close your duffel bag and cactus are to the doorway of the building but you compose yourself much quicker and swipe down to pick them up before turning back around and reaching for your bat you assume Soobin had dragged out when he picked you up.
"Haha okay—wait no, I mean where are you heading? You lived in 507 right?" you hear him follow behind you as you made your way onto the street. You didn't know where you were going but at this point you didn't care you just wanted to find somewhere to sleep for the next 24 hours after this ordeal. Soobin seemed much more composed after just shooting a use-to-be-human in the head and watching his brain splatter against the wall.
"I was your neighbor—well not really, I lived on the third floor actually but I would see you from time to time getting your mail—which is why I know your name is Y/N L/N, right?" You stop and turn to face his creepy ass sharply.
"That was a weird thing to say, Soobin. You think just because you're attractive you can go stalking people like that?" His face pales
"No! I'm so sor—you think I'm attractive?" he sputters and you stare in half amazement and half in shock because no way is he getting bashful over a compliment after what you two just went through.
"Have you killed those things before?" He rubs his red tinted ears and gives you a goofy smile
"huh? Zombies?" you nod.
"Well um yeah, it's been about two months since the outbreak. Kinda hard to avoid them, you know? Is—was it your....first time?" you nod again before turning back around and continuing your journey to God knows where with Flora hugged tightly to your blood soaked chest.
Right, you were the only shut in who hadn't left her house since the outbreak began. Even this nerd of a guy had a few kills under his belt. You needed to catch up, there was no way you were gonna be a burden to ANYONE.
Soobin continues to talk for a second before he realizes you had continued to walk and clumsily makes pace behind you
"So really um thank you! For not slamming the door in the face, I kinda thought 'no way she's gonna totally close the door and leave me locked in!' But then you didn't and ahh...yeah. Thank you! Again." He rambles. You don't have the heart to tell him you were about to close the door on his face.
"Thanks for saving me too" you say, finally stopping once you reach a four way street.
"Why don't you lead the way because I don't know where I'm going"

Nurse!Reader x Carlos Oliveira & Nikolai Zinoviev Headcanons
A/N: (Everyone’s a touch OOC as I doubt either one would willingly drag a civilian along, albeit for different reasons: Carlos because once you’ve been escorted to safety, you’re no longer his immediate concern; Nikolai because he was never all that interested in saving civilians, to begin with, but let’s say you’re just so darn cute/special that you alter canon circumstances, okay? Okay. Also, all of them survive RE3 in this, so yeah.)
☣ ☢ ☣ ☢
When shit starts hitting the fan, you don't panic immediately. After all, you work in a hospital, what better place to be during a pandemic, right?
Wrong! Oh so wrong.
You see the effects of the T-virus up close and personal, and it’s not pretty. Prior to this point, you thought such viruses only existed in science fiction or cheesy B-grade horror movies. But here it was in your workplace, quickly overcoming all quarantined forces, hospital staff, and security.
So you flee. You leave through a back exit and get the hell out of dodge, or at least, the center of dodge. You soon find, however, that it’s not just the hospital that’s overrun, but the city as well.
Maybe that’s how you meet them…
Carlos:
He swoops in and saves you from a hoard of zombies, looking like an A-list action star as he does it. (It’s the hair- it’s incredible.)
He tells you his platoon is rounding up survivors in the subway, that it’s a temporary shelter until they can get the trains up and running again. That he and his teammates were sent in to get everyone safely out of the city. You’re not sure if you believe this plan, but you follow him eagerly as he leads you to the subway.
On the way, you tell him who you are. When he finds out you’re medical personnel, he’s both impressed and relieved. He tells you his captain has been injured, and they haven’t come across a doctor or nurse that hasn't already been infected. You of course offer to help in any way your can. (Because you’re awesome like that.)
You’re not surprised when he tells you he’s working with Umbrella because you also work with Umbrella as a hospital employee. But to you, they’re a pharmaceutical company, why would they need military personnel? It doesn't sit right with you, but Carlos is an absolute sweetheart. (I mean the man is cracking jokes in the middle of the apocalypse.) So you trust the guy.
Carlos does his best to assure you you’re not a burden or some sort of unwanted weight when you first arrive at the subway car. Mainly, because he can tell by the way you keep offering to help get the trains running, even though you’d be no match for the horde, but also because of Nikolai’s snide comments about Carlos bringing in “yet another one” when the cars still weren’t working. “Hey, don’t worry about it,” he says. “It’s our job to protect you.”
Carlos takes you to his Captain- Captain Mikhail Victor in charge of Umbrella's Delta Platoon. You try and treat the Captain’s injury the best you can, using what little supplies from the first-aid kit that’s available. You apply a generous amount of first aid spray and wrap a makeshift bandage around the cut. You would have attempted sutures if the kit had any but unfortunately for the Captain, it didn’t. The wound isn’t deep but it’s in a compromising place. You know this man won’t make it out of here on foot.
Overall, you feel you’ve done an inadequate job because you know the Captain is still incredibly vulnerable, but both Carlos and Mikhail assure you, you’ve been more than helpful.
But you want to help more! When Carlos admits he and Tyrell won’t be catching the train and will instead stay behind to look for Bard, you offer to come with them, to help them navigate the hospital.
Of course, everyone thinks it’s a horrible idea. One: because Bard is supposedly at the police station, not the hospital, and Two: because you have no weapons training whatsoever. You’re a walking liability. Nikolai teases Carlos about “taking on the burdens of strays”. You flip him off behind his back.
After a ton of back and forth, you insist you go with Carlos and Tyrell, refusing to get on the train. At one point you take a seat on the ground of the platform and cross your arms stubbornly. (You’re not going and they can’t make you!)
Carlos is the first to accept the situation and roll with the punches. “Alright. But I have one rule.” He says. “No dying on me.”
You stand, smile, and shake his hand. “Deal.”
The three of you make it to the police station, where you hang back with Tyrell in the main lobby as Carlos looks around for Bard. Once it’s revealed that Bard is still at the hospital, you offer to escort Carlos there. After giving him your best “I told you so” smirk that is.
On the way you find Jill, clearly having been infected by something, even though you’re not certain what. But none of that matters as you and Carlos bring her to the practically abandoned hospital.
Once Jill is settled, you give Carlos some directions and a rudimentary drawing of where to locate the asshole Bard’s office. “You’ll need a voice key,” you tell him. “You’d have to look around these rooms for one of his cassettes.”
He thanks you before asking you to look after Jill for the time being. You promise to radio him if her condition worsens.
When Carlos comes back with the vaccine, you could practically kiss the man. You don’t, of course, it wouldn't be appropriate. (But the thought does cross your mind very briefly.) Carlos lets you administer the vaccine to Jill, you being the trained nurse and all. With all that's happened, being able to do some actual healing feels like nothing short of a miracle.
You begin to take notes on Jill’s condition, commenting that although it doesn’t seem to be a speedy cure, her fever’s going down and her skin doesn’t look as clammy.
The miraculous feeling doesn't last long, however, as Tyrell comes bursting through the room, clearly out of breath and pretty banged-up. He turns on the TV and to your horror, you find you have only hours to make it out of Racoon City unless you want to be vaporized. (Which, no, thank you! You certainly don’t!)
After catching up, Tyrell being high-key surprised you’re still alive, (which honestly, you’re like ‘same’ lol) you decide to go with Carlos underground, to locate the stockpiled vaccine as a last-ditch effort to save the city. You hope whatever they made, that there’s tons of it.
Before going underground though, Carlos gives you a gun from one of the killed security guards. It only has a few bullets but he feels safer knowing you’re not just going to walk completely weaponless into whatever danger Umbrella has waiting for you.

personality:
taking one good look at sabine would determine she’s nothing but your residential party girl; maybe even a mean girl if you were to meet her on the wrong end. though as always, there’s more than what tends to meet the eye. surface level meetings would conclude that she’s rather boisterous to the point of borderline obnoxious attitude, unashamedly butting into people’s business and making it her own just for the fun of it. sabine’s rather unashamed in the way she acts towards people– be it having to act like a complete bitch to those who are rude towards her, or genuinely kind to others that’ll give her the chance. she doesn’t act a certain way without reason. to her, anything is justifiable enough in her eyes.
but with her, it really isn’t that simple.
sabine is a very cruel and sadistic woman who’ll enact her revenge on anyone who she thinks deserves it. her violent urges are nothing to take lightly in the slightest. anyone who knows her–deimos especially– is aware she’ll definitely back up her bark with a nasty bite to follow. mess with her or them, and you’ll be sure to wake up with something missing. or not wake up at all.
whichever works in her favor.
something your muse struggles with: the inability to handle her temper. it’s oftentimes that sabine can fly into a blind rage without thinking about the consequences on either end. she becomes obsessive to the point of it making her sick, much to the detriment of others.
your muse’s greatest strength:
ferocity. sabine’s strength tends to get her places no other person would even think of being without her steadfast determination and willingness to meet an end-goal. strongarming her way into situations (and solving them in that manner!) has helped both her and deimos many, many times.
history / background:
returning to a normal life has forever become impossible. a deadly infection ravaged the world and threw many nations into apocalypse, having to now dodge the living dead and their growing mutations each and every day.
but life used to be so simple for sabine. an only child who was used to getting whatever she asked for from parents who adored her; a popular girl that used both looks and genuine kindness to her advantage to woo and gain whatever she desired. even when she’d been well into adulthood sabine knew just how to take life by the horns and ride it in her favor.
not that it could last forever. and it didn’t… not like this.
after having been separated from her mother and step-father just a week into the outbreak, sabine had met deimos on a whim amongst another group of survivors. though the two were a rather unlikely pair to be seen together, they’d been glued to each other’s sides without any wiggle room to be torn apart. they did what they had to do in order to make it in this ravaged world– to fight, steal, and cheat in any way they could.
sabine’s world would forever be altered for the worse after gambling one too many times with her life.
a special infected had sprayed the top half of her face in acid, eating away at her flesh and vision almost instantly. having her life changed in a fraction of a second; knowing that she’s lost something she could never regain, and could never come back from, sent her into a detrimental spiral practically nobody had expected. the weight of this world having been ripped apart by disease, the constant struggle to survive, the fear of not knowing if there’ll be a tomorrow– all of it had finally crashed upon her to the point of no return. deimos had been her one and only sabine could ever trust to take care of her through the good and bad. and it’ll always stay that way.

MARVEL ANIMATION PROJECTS FROM SDCC
I am groot
This series will premiere agust 10th and will consist of 5 shorts centered around groot (duh)
From the trailer, it looks like a comedy series with a light-hearted plot, so probably no real threat present.
It will likely be soft-canon: the series will take place in the main MCU timeline but none of the events will matter/be adressed in the future
What if...?
What if season 2 has been confirmed as part of phase 5
It will be streaming early 2023
Some of the scenarios have been announced: a story centered around Hela, Odin vs The Mandarin, Captain Carter meeting the winter soldier (most likely the Hydrastomper seen in s1 will contain a winter soldier version of Steve), tony on Saakar with Hulk and Valkyrie (scrapped episode from s1)
We dont know it the multversal teamup at the end of season 1 will be adressed, nor if the Watcher will return (although the latter seems likely)
A third season has already been confirmed
Spiderman Freshman Year
Previously confirmed by Marvel as a prequel to homecoming, however that seemed to change given that Strange and Dock Ock will appear, while peter never saw them before the Spidey/Avengers movies
It might span across the multiverse and give us a look at different spidermans, with only a few episodes centered around Tom Holland's Spidey (this could explain how so many characters will appear while still being a prequel to Homecoming)
Many spider suits will appear, including a homemade one
Doctor strange will appear
Daredevil will appear in his black suit (Voiced by Charlie Cox!!!!)
Harry Osborn (possible Hobgoblin) and Amadeus Cho ( possible Hulk variant) will appear as Peter's friends
Nico Minoru should appear (in the comic, she is a magic wielding Runaway)
Many iconic Spider-Man villains will appear: Doc Ock, Rhino, Speed Demon, Tarantula and Scoprion (we might find out why scorpion was in jail in the Homecoming post credit scene)
Norman Osborn will appear with his iconic waves, it is unclear wether he will become Green Goblin. It is rumored that he will be Peter's mentor (in a Tony Stark-esque way as a shot of him and Aunt May mirrors the first time Peter met Tony in the Mcu)
The characters and drawing style are comic accurate (including Norman Osborn's waves!!!)
A second season called Spider-Man: Sophomore Year is already confirmed
Marvel Zombies
Inspired why the zombie episode in What if season one, it will follow a group of survivors fighting through a zombie apocalypse (duh)
The series will be TV-MA (!!!!!!!)
Among the survivors we can find: Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, Jimmy Woo, Shang-Chi, Kamala Khan, Death dealer (the masked guy from Shang-Chi), Red Guardian and Katy Chen ( also from Shang-Chi)
Other groups of survivors include an all-female group of SHIELD agents and black widows, as well as a group of skrulls
Amongst the zombies we can find: Ikaris (although it is uncleat how an eternal that is not organic can become a zombie), Abomination, A severed captain America, Okoye, Ghost, hawkeye with many arrows shot trough him, Captain Carter and the Scarlet Witch (Lmfao they are fucked going up agains these zombies)
It is unclear wether the events of what if take place in the same universe, although captain America does appear cut in half, so we dont know if well see the group of survivors from what if (Tchalla, Scott Lang's head and Peter Parker with the cloak of levitation) as well as Zombie Thanos with the infinty stones
Expect horror moments especially with ghost's ability to go through walls, as well as splatter moments
Oh and also hearbreaking moments between Kate and Yelena, and Shang-Chi and Katy when one of them gets zombified (Marvel you will pay for my therapy sessions)
Also moments between Kate and Kamala and Zombie Carol and Clint

wait omg I love hearing fic ideas :0 also I relate a lot one of my best friends is a writer and I help them plan sometimes but I just can never start writing my own bc my perfectionism acts like a block
:o thank you for askingggg i feel too awkward to just talk about them by myself hgaslfdj. these are all dnf btw.
okay so the first one is my most well developed idea and would definitely be the longest, my plan alone is 5k words. its exes-friends-lovers again. they used to have an online long-distance relationship when they were teenagers but inevitably broke up bc they were young and stupid and thousands of miles away from each other. years later George stumbles across a Minecraft video on youtube and releases its dream and he's like omg no surely not?? basically they reconnect again and slowly get reaquainted but they are much older and maturer now and its very nostalgic and cute and kinda angsty and i have fully planned this from start to finish but i can't write it for some reason
next one is a kidfic wooo. basically dream is a young single dad who is kinda sad and alone but he has a kid and he has sapnap who has always been there for him. sapnap convinces him to go out and enjoy himself for once while he looks after kid, and while out dream meets george. one night stand happens but dream has internal conflict about his feelings and what is best for kid. feelings and cute kid stuff and probably a small amount of explicit stuff. i have also got a plan for this one and it likely wouldn't be as long as the previous one but still decent sized.
holiday fling in europe au. k so george goes on holiday w some uni friends (wilbur and niki) after uni to chill and there he meets dream. they hit it off immediately and end up spending a lot of time together. both of them know it won't last so they make the most of it while they can and enjoy themselves in a rlly nice warm place. a bit more spicy, pretty scenery and good vibes and slightly bittersweet,
george works in his parents' rural bnb by the coast in england. one day during a storm two backpackers (dream and spanap) stumble in soaking wet. sapnap gets sick from the cold so they stay longer than intended so george shows dream around nd they get closer. this one would likely set in like 80s or 90s before fancy technology was big. another pretty scenery and good vibes but also bittersweet actually.
zombie apocalypse au. george is with a group of survivors (sapnap, karl, quackity n some others). he goes out on a supply trip one day but gets injured and passes out. he sees a figure as it all afdes and he assumes its a zombie and hes about to die. he wakes up though and it turns out he was saved by someone - dream! dream is a lone survivor wandering about and together they try and get george back to his group and have some adventures and encounters on the way woo.
i have lots of smaller one shot ideas too wooo
#this look me ages to write for some reason#i could go into more details but then it would just be spoilers if I ever write it#i want to write them so so bad#sandsofdteam#answered#a writes

#Alive (Spoiler Free Review)
It should be called “How To Survive Zombie Apocalypse 101″ except nobody knows how helpful this is.
Jun Woo wakes up to find the whole world in chaos, people are eating people and you can barely trust anyone.
Luckily he meets another survivor Kim Yoo Bin who helps him to stay sane in this mess.
By now we’ve seen a lot of movies that depicts zombie apocalypse and this one doesn’t bring anything new to the franchise, maybe only that here zombies can remember some of the things, for example, how to open the door.
This, of course, will make both of the main leads journey harder but more fun for us to watch.
The movie starts out pretty slow, it’s only Jun Woo trying to cope when he has nothing and somewhere in the middle Yoo Bin shows up.
However, it does not mean that she’s bringing a lot of stuff to the screen, so again the viewers are here to sit another 40 minutes without much action.
There are a few scenes in between that may grip your attention but other than that it’s going very slowly until the last 30 minutes where the actions picks up.
If the scenes where Jun Woo is alone, just chilling at home were cut short and more space was given to action or even some kind of character growth or just show who they are I would not be this disappointed.
Sadly, even after watching this whole movie the viewer doesn’t really know who Jun Woo is, except that he was making YouTube videos before everything happened.
And Yoo Bin is even a bigger mystery to us even though she’s supposed to be one of the mains.
This movie doesn’t go into action scenes and doesn’t make you wonder what is going to happen next. It also doesn’t delve into the characters or their background.
That is how we’re left watching a man doing barely anything for thirty minutes, than he meets someone and does nothing for other 40 minutes and the ending where they try to do something but it’s hard to care for them at this point.

Train to Busan - East Asian/Korean Horror/Action Movie
Train to Busan Blog Post – Christiana Cary
Train to Busan is a 2016 Korean East Asian horror and action film. The movie opens with father, Seok-woo (Gong Yoo) taking his daughter Soo-an to visit his estranged wife in Busan. Seok-woo is a high-level financial executive whose workaholic habits prevent him from spending time with his daughter. To ease his guilt, he decides to take his daughter to visit her mother. While departing from Seoul, an infected passenger, unknowingly to the train crew, hops onto the train with a zombie virus. Later most of the train’s crew members and passengers become infected with the zombie virus. Soon the whole passengers learn, along with the rest of the country, that Korea is in a zombie apocalypse caused by a biotech plant leakage. Ironically, the zombie virus comes from a biotech plant leakage that is highly connected to Seok-woo’s business. Seok-woo uses his connections within his company to try and get him and his daughter to safety at Deajeon Station however, the military encampment in Deajeon is infected and soon all the healthy passengers must run back to the train which then takes off for Busan again. Seok-woo along with two other men must fight car to car with infested zombies to save his daughter and two other women. The group makes it back to the safe car only to have the passengers in the safe car deny them haven-space claiming that they could be infected. Finally, the train arrives in Busan and Seok-woo and the remaining passengers along with his daughter must fight their way on the tracks to make it an operating train that can take them to the military quarantine in Busan. Before Seok-woo can make it, he is bitten at last moment leaving his daughter, Soo-an and Seong-keong a pregnant woman, as the only survivors. Soo-an sings a song at the end to let the military postmen know that she has not been injected.
This zombie horror movie matched up with a lot of western zombie horror movies/show I have seen such as the Walking Dead and Alive on Netflix. The same staging for zombies acting in this movie was similar to other western zombie movies. Like in western movies, the zombies in this movie were enraged and hysterical to bite another person. Additionally, the zombies in this movie were unable to respond hysterically under darkness and they lack common human intelligence. Secondly, zombies are not necessarily an East Asian myth but a Haitian mythical creature. It was interesting to see an East Asian take on zombies and fun to notice how similarly both East Asian and Western movies take on zombies. Finally, the theme of characters fighting zombies for survival was a major motif in this movie that I have also noticed in Western zombie-horror movies. All characters seem to have to fight for their lives against zombies in order to get to safety or find supplies for survival. That is exactly true for the characters in this movie. Overall, I would definitely recommend this movie for anyone interested in an entertaining zombie-horror movie but not so focused on East Asian myth or culture.

#Alive (2020)
With everyone living in fear of a global pandemic, doing their best to stay home, and steering clear of others to avoid infection, a new zombie movie should effortlessly tap into our fears and have a big impact. Unfortunately, #Alive, is the same thing we’ve seen over and over again. It brings nothing new to the equation, guaranteeing that anyone who sees it will forget it quickly.
While his family is out, Joon-woo (Yoo Ah-in) hears news reports of a mysterious disease that turns people into aggressive cannibals. Within a day, the government has lost control and rotting ghouls roam the streets, devouring anyone foolish enough to leave their apartments. With food running out, he slowly begins to lose hope until he spots Yoo-bin (Park Shin-hye), a woman living in the apartment across the parking lot.
The only cliches we don’t see in this horror-drama are the ones #Alive couldn’t indulge because of its small cast. Civilization crumbles. Check. No survivors in sight. Check. Running out of food, water, hope - meaning suicide seems like the only way out. Check. People who are unable to kill zombies because they still think their loved ones are somewhere inside, people trying to hide their bite wounds even though they know the teeth marks spell their doom, check. At first, you think the film will have something new to say about social media or use mobile phones and drones in inventive ways to keep things fresh, but no. This plot’s as moldy as the zombies which plague Seoul. The makeup and gore effects are cool but even they don’t stand out. You could splice them into just about any movie about the walking dead.
Faced with this absence of innovation, your mind grasps onto little errors made throughout to keep yourself entertained. Joon-woo runs out of food within seven days but two weeks later, he doesn’t look thinner or even hungrier. It takes him weeks to even think of venturing outside his door to search other apartments for supplies. Considering his place has a balcony, you’d expect him to use it to avoid the dangerous corridors but he never does. The movie repeatedly calls him an idiot but this behavior feels less like a deliberate choice and more like director Cho Il-hyung not considering the scenario they’ve created thoroughly enough. Electricity runs out at one point but Joon-woo is still seen using his phone up until the very end. People manage to stay squeaky clean and pristine despite the lack of showers in this apocalypse, removing all sense of urgency despite the dwindling resources.
Zombie movies are a dime a dozen, meaning you’ve seen worse ones than #Alive. Don't take it as a backhanded compliment. A really bad zombie movie would probably entertain more than this new effort. At least it’d be more memorable. (Original Korean with English subtitles, September 12, 2020)

A Review of “#alive (2020)”
After the disappointing Peninsula, I stumbled upon another Korean Zombie movie. #Alive has a simple premise in that "Oh Joon-woo (Yoo Ah-in) a gamer is left isolated in his families apartment when an infection leaves an entire city filled with zombies". The zombie genre is very over saturated so does this movie stand out or is just part of the horde of mediocre zombie movies.
I got to praise the pacing of this movie because it gets straight into the action within the first 3 minutes. It doesn't delay with an exposition or massive setup. It knows what you're watching it for and by doing this it successfully keeps the audience engaged the moment the movie begins. For the most part, the movie maintains this pacing but it does slow at a couple of points. However, it never slows down for too long and manages to always add some new element of danger to keep the characters on their toes. The zombie action, on the whole, is generally fun to watch. They are not groundbreaking or visually insane like "Train to Busan" but they are generally fun looking scenes.
I also like some of the ideas director "Cho Il-hyung" implements in this movie to make it stand out a bit. Firstly, the movie focuses primarily on one person "Oh Joon-woo" (Yoo Ah-in). Most zombie movies usually focus on a group of survivors with some dying but by focusing on one person it makes it easy for the audience to relate more with him and understand his loneliness. Eventually, the movie does introduce a second survivor "Kim Yoo-bin" (Park Shin-hye) but this adds to the theme of "loneliness" in this movie. Furthermore, I also enjoy that the director considered the modern setting by having wifi, social media and even modern technology like drones in the movie. It makes it feel more believable and adds some new elements into the zombie genre. The actors Yoo Ah-in and Park Shin-hye do a phenomenal job in giving emotive and convincing performances. They really sell on the desperation these characters go through.
However, I do have some gripes with this movie and the first being the lack of characterisation. We the audience get some suggestions at who Oh Joon-woo is such as being a gamer but apart from that he isn't very interesting. The movie does a fairly good job at making us care for him because of his situation but it doesn't do a good job at making us really like him that much. He is very bland and generic which is probably intented to make the audience easily put themselves into his position. However, he makes a lot of really dumb decisions at time which I definitely wouldn't have done. On the other hand, Kim Yoo-bin has no characterisation whatsoever. I know almost nothing about her and they never really go into depth about who she was before the apocalypse. It baffles me why the main character never asks her about this but whatever.
The third act of this movie also embodies all the cliches from a lot of zombie movies and is extremely generic which is a bit disappointing compared to the first two acts. To their credit the ending is still satisfying despite being cliche. The story is also incredibly predictable and there also very predictable jump scares as well (although the jump scares are very few).
Overall, it's an all right zombie movie. It isn't groundbreaking but what it does, it does very well. It tackles the zombie genre with a clear theme of loneliness and it explores this theme well. Additionally, I also appreciate that the zombie apocalypse isn't on a country scale as a lot of zombie movies do this and seeing a more competent government is quite refreshing. This also plays a part into the theme as well. I came into this movie to have an enjoyable time and this movie most definitely succeed in that.

Mod Virgil posted a thing a week ago, and has be curious, what got you into L4D and making ocs? And the inspiration for those OCs?
((I have this fascination with fictional apocalypses specifically. No idea where it comes from but it makes for some interesting story ideas. Left 4 Dead being pretty much our world but with zombies was perfect for my mind to run with. Ray and Jazz came about at the same time as they were once one character but with how OCs grow the one character split into two, one keeping the scruffy appearance and most of the personality [Jazz] and one getting the name [Ray]. Jazz is your typical survivor that’s a bit of a realist but keeping the hope for better days, Ray came about when thinking “What if a C.E.D.A agent was left to die but made it out?”, he’s kinda go with the flow and a goofball that holds a lot of pain. Lain is Ray’s ex-boyfriend who Ray thought died during his escape attempt, he’s pretty cold and kinda a bit of an asshole. He’s not one to let people get close because of that one situation.))((Woo that was longish))

10 Horror Movies Starring Your Favorite Avengers, Ranked by Scariness
Superhero actors often make their bones in similar action or comedy movies, if not just other comic book adaptations. But the genre has grown to such a size, and incorporated such a high number of talented actors, that you can find your favorite heroes in some unusually horrific situations. You just need to know where to look and, preferably, what you’ll find when you get there. (Unless you’re the kind of person who likes to roll the dice with their horror movies.)
Here’s ten horror movies starring actors who double-up as members of the Avengers in the MCU, ranked from the least scary to the most.
RELATED: 10 Campy Horror Movies To Watch If You Liked Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
10 Repentance
Starring Anthony Mackie (A.K.A. The Falcon), Phillipe Caland’s psychological horror movie sees a life coach, played by Mackie, taking up the job of one-on-one therapy sessions with Forest Whitaker’s deeply troubled renovator. When it becomes apparent that Whitaker’s character suffers from a psychological haunting that may border on the spiritual, and that Mackie’s coach has many demons of his own, their relationship takes a dark turn.
Though mostly more on the thriller side of horror, Repentance does stray into the torture area of things once the situation fully deteriorates. It’s a movie that possesses a lot of the hallmarks of Bad Movie Syndrome but it’s undeniably bolstered by the performances of Mackie, Whitaker and – surprisingly enough – comedian Mike Epps on solid dramatic form.
9 Priest
Starring Paul Bettany (A.K.A. Vision), Priest is a big screen adaptation of the Korean comic of the same name by Hyung Min-woo. It follows Bettany’s titular Priest (a practically superhuman vampire hunter living in a post-apocalyptic world where his services are no longer needed) on his quest to rescue his niece from a vampire plot.

Priest, like the comic it’s based on, is really a mishmash of a number of genres from martial arts action to Westerns. Its horror elements go hand-in-hand with the undead monsters at the heart of its story, falling more on the action-horror side of the equation. Fans of the Blade movies will be familiar with it.
8 Gothika
Starring Robert Downey Jr. (A.K.A. Iron Man), Gothika is the Hollywood debut of acclaimed French director and actor Mathieu Kassovitz. It follows Halle Berry’s psychiatrist as she awakes to a nightmare scenario where she’s institutionalized in her own hospital after apparently murdering her loving husband. Downey Jr. plays a colleague trying to get to the bottom of things in this unusual thriller/chiller.
Gothika's horror, while supernatural in many instances, is mostly psychological but the movie has its fair share of gore in certain scenes. It fits more neatly under the category of 'disturbing' than it does 'frightening', with its central mystery playing comfortably to the conventions of the ghost genre.
7 Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Starring Paul Rudd (A.K.A. Ant-Man) in his movie debut as Tommy Doyle, a young character from John Carpenter’s original Halloween movie, The Curse of Michael Myers is the last of a kind of trilogy of Halloween sequels before the series began continually rebooting itself.
Its production troubles resulted in two very different versions of the movie existing for public consumption, each with pros and cons. You could call the original theatrical version scarier, as it adds some much more graphic kills, but the so-called Producer’s Cut has the benefit of making a little more sense.
6 Silent House
Starring Elizabeth Olsen (A.K.A. Scarlet Witch), Silent House is another psychological horror movie but presented in a very unique way. The movie, like the original Uruguayan movie La Casa Muda from which it’s adapted, is presented as one continuous take. Meaning there are no visible cuts as it follows its main character, played by Olsen, in real time.
RELATED: The 10 Most Haunting Ghost Movies Of The 2010s, Ranked
It follows Olsen’s character’s nerve-racking journey through an old family home as instances of trauma from her past begin to manifest around her in a ghostly fashion. It’s overall style and presentation will seem familiar to lovers of modern horror video games.
5 The Cabin in the Woods
Drew Goddard’s hugely entertaining monster mash horror comedy doesn’t skimp on either the frights or the laughs. As the title suggests, it riffs on the conventions of the supernatural slasher genre, with a just pre-career-explosion Chris Hemsworth (A.K.A. Thor) perfectly cast as the stock jock. But The Cabin in the Woods evolves into an examination of the horror genre itself, eventually folding in every type of phobia and thing that goes bump in the night that you can think of.
Things get progressively wilder and wilder as the movie progresses, leading to a parade of highly creative kills in a blood-soaked finale.
4 The Midnight Meat Train
Based on a short story from Hellraiser and Candyman creator Clive Barker, The Midnight Meat Train stars Bradley Cooper (A.K.A. Rocket Raccoon) as a photographer who falls down a deep and dark rabbit hole of grisly murder when he seeks more shocking photo opportunities on the subway system at night.
The Midnight Meat Train is a movie that starts out pretty dark but there’s not much that can prepare you for how just how horrifically weird things get. Gory, macabre, and not necessarily a movie you should watch if you want to look at Bradley Cooper the same way ever again.
3 28 Weeks Later
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s sequel to Danny Boyle’s game-changing, rejuvenating, surprise zombie hit 28 Days Later surprised audiences in its own ways. To get a truly original-feeling genre movie of that type was shocking enough the first time it happened. But to get a sequel that amped up the scale and the action and the threat, while keeping the emotional intensity at an incredibly high standard, was something that beat phenomenal odds.
RELATED: The 5 Scariest Zombie Films (And The 5 Funniest)
Jeremy Renner (A.K.A. Hawkeye) plays a US military sniper overseeing the rebuilding of London after the zombie apocalypse of the first movie. When things go bad again, a chain of shocking, visceral, events plays out as he attempts to protect a group of survivors.
2 Oculus
Starring Karen Gillan (A.K.A. Nebula), Oculus was a landmark moment for both director Mike Flanagan (adapting the movie from an earlier short film of his own) and Gillan on their journeys into the spotlight. The movie’s classical American horror story, about a haunted mirror standing in as a traditional metaphor for the horror of losing one’s grip on reality, established Flanagan as a filmmaker able to weave complex character-based horror stories with real staying power.
Effective in its build-up, but never afraid to take the terror to dark and delirious places, Oculus is a movie that accomplishes a lot with relatively little and showcases exactly why Flanagan would go on to be trusted with several Stephen King adaptations.
1 Under the Skin
Scarlett Johansson (A.K.A. Black Widow) plays an alien Siren on the streets of Scotland, hunting for prey to seduce and lure back to her lair to be slowly digested, in Jonathan Glazer’s one-of-a-kind sci-fi nightmare.
Johansson’s unflinching performance sees her interact with a number of non-professional actors in key sequences throughout the movie, often on the street with hidden cameras, and it intensifies the otherworldly feeling flowing through Under the Skin. Whether it be the tone of the scenes, or Mica Levi’s haunting music, Under the Skin is all but guaranteed to mess with your brain in one way or another.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 14 Review: Mother
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This Fear the Walking Dead review contains spoilers.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 14
After being sidelined for most of the season, Fear the Walking Dead finally throws one of its best characters into the fray. I’m talking about Alicia, of course, who hasn’t gotten nearly enough screen time lately. So it’s interesting (and refreshing) that “Mother” should lean so heavily into what it means to be Madison Clark’s daughter. The episode continues season 6’s trend of unexpected reunions, and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. But more on that chance encounter in a bit.
In the meantime, let’s talk about Teddy Maddox (John Glover). We already knew he was a bit unhinged, what with being a cult leader and embalming dissenters and wanting to usher in a nuclear Armageddon. Taken individually, any one of those things is a red flag, to be sure. Taken together, though, and you have a dangerous lunatic who makes the likes of recent antagonists like Virginia, Logan, and Martha seem like dilettantes by comparison. Which is a good thing, really. While the undead have become more of an existential threat to our heroes, the living always prove to be the biggest and most immediate threat to survival. Remember Jeremiah and Troy Otto from season 3? They were good villains! What made them so dangerous was that they mistakenly believed they had the moral high ground.
Teddy is no different. Like the Ottos, he truly believes that humans are nothing more than bottom-feeders who deserve to be wiped out. While his views are a bit extreme, what transpires in “Mother” certainly seems to bear out this grim hypothesis. Indeed, this episode offers compelling insights into Teddy’s convoluted thought process. He sums it all up when he tells Alicia, “I could preserve everything I loved, and destroy everything I didn’t.” This black-and-white worldview is calcified after he murders someone, and marvels at the flowers growing over her backyard grave. That and 30 years on death row gave him plenty of time to reinforce his twisted beliefs. When the world ended, his second chance began in earnest. Now this wasteland prophet finally has the means to bring his vision to full fruition. To do that, he needs Alicia’s help.
All the way back in season 3, in my review of “Brother’s Keeper,” I suggested that Fear could possibly benefit from killing off Alicia. This was back when the entire Clark family was still alive and seemingly unkillable. Three seasons later, though, Alicia is the last Clark standing. To lose her now would cut Fear off from an important part of its history. Whether you like them or hate them, for better or worse, this Walking Dead spin-off was built upon the Clark family’s misadventures during the earliest days of the zombie apocalypse. Were they always role models? Definitely not. But week after week, their flaws made for more compelling drama. And as we know, over the years, Alicia has tried more than once to leave all the bloodshed behind. Unfortunately for her, Alicia is usually at her best when she’s forced to do her worst. And “Mother” is certainly no exception.
Tapped by Teddy to run a special errand (with new cult recruit Dakota tagging along for good measure), Alicia unwittingly becomes part of a grand thought experiment. It should be said that Alycia Debnam-Carey delivers a great performance, as does Glover. They prove to be excellent foils for one another, playing two sides of the same coin. Throwing them together provides plenty of friction as Teddy continues to woo her to his way of thinking. And if that means revisiting the ghosts of the past, so be it. For Alicia, that means confronting her mother’s legacy.
For Teddy, though, that means liberating his mother’s corpse from its crypt.
It’s amazing that this scene can be so unsettling, given how the Walking Dead universe has spent nearly eleven years “normalizing” reanimated corpses. Maybe it’s because Teddy is obviously unwell. Or maybe it’s because he cherishes his mother’s corpse, rather than fearing it. In this world, any interactions with the dead are assiduously avoided. (That this turns out to be a random corpse is even more disturbing.)
The way Teddy and Dakota casually compare notes on the people they’ve killed and why is likewise unsettling. Killing before the apocalypse landed you on death row. Killing now? Well, it’s just the way of the world. The more we learn about Dakota, the more it seems like Virginia may have been trying to protect people from her daughter.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
As for this episode’s surprise reunion, it was great to see a familiar face—until it isn’t. Cole (Sebastian Sozzi) harkens all the way back to headier days, when Madison forged a settlement inside an abandoned stadium. That settlement went up in flames, as they tend to do in the Walking Dead universe. If you’ll recall, Madison gave her life so that her fellow survivors could live to fight another day. Which is why it’s so painful for Alicia to see her mother’s sacrifice squandered by Cole, Doug, and Viv. Since the stadium fell, they’ve become ruthless marauders.
To Teddy, Cole and his ilk are walking justifications for why he wants to rid the world of loathsome, unsavory types. But that’s all a matter of perspective, what passes for loathsome in this world. Dakota thinks Alicia killing Cole puts the two of them on equal footing, but their moral ground isn’t the same—or is it? Killing doesn’t come easily for Alicia. At least, not like it does for the Teddys or the Dakotas of the world. Each person Alicia has killed, even in self-defense, exacts a tremendous toll.
In the end, taking out Cole proves to Teddy that Alicia is exactly who he needs to bring hope to his coming version of the world. He even goes so far as to lock her away in a secure bunker, to ensure her survival after the beached submarine’s missiles rein down destruction on the guilty.
Kudos to Fear for playing the long game this season. It’s great to finally get more answers (about that sub, about the graffiti, about those keys), even as they create more problems for our survivors. Kudos, too, for putting Alicia front and center this week. Debnam-Carey is a force to be reckoned with; when given the chance, she elevates every episode she’s in.
A final thought: Fear seems to be going out of its way this season to remind everyone what a terrible person Strand used to be. After this episode, I’m convinced Strand will ultimately save the world from destruction.

Zombies: Loki x Reader - Pt 2 (NSFW)
Zombies Part 1
"Why are you making me do this?" You hissed at Miranda.
She raised her eyebrow, folding her arms and smirked, "honestly, I don't get television since this shit started and the look you gave him." She shook her head, "I'd be a fool to pass up this entertainment. Besides, everyone pulls their weight, it's about time you led an inspection."
You glanced through the one way mirror, sighing heavily at the sight of Loki sitting against the opposite wall. His head was leaned back, eyes shut as he gripped his side in clear pain. "Where's the doctor?" You finally asked, desperate for a change of subject.
Miranda's eyes hardened, "he's coming, but you know the rules, no inspection, no help."
"Shouldn't we at least have a guy do this, you know, privacy?"
Miranda shrugged, "any I can think of is on duty, don't make me threaten you."
You pinched the bridge of your nose and sighed, "fine, fine. I'm going, just so we can get the poor guy some medical treatment."
"I'll be right here if you need anything."
Loki's eyes shot open as you entered the small cell, once a police interrogation room.
"Sorry," you mumbled, "the doctor is on his way but we gotta check you over for bites, local protocol."
Loki nodded tiredly, "understandable." He grit his teeth, wincing as he shifted to stand up. You rushed forward, easing him out of his jacket and desperately fighting back your growing blush. There was a small stool to your side that you could fold the jacket and lay it down. Loki watched you with dark curious eyes.
"Shirt." You mumbled.
Loki winced, hissing as he eased the blood soaked garment from his torso. Dried blood tugged at his skin, ripping at his body's natural repairs. Your hands unthinkingly moved to help him, fingers gliding along his waist. Seeing him shirtless, his handsomely sculpted physique sent a pang to your gut and you had to close your eyes for a moment as he removed the bloody shirt the rest of the way. Loki dropped it impetuously on his jacket, straightening back up and wincing as the movement set his wound bleeding again. You touched it gingerly, fingers trailing over the wound for any sign of the feared bite, but to your relief, it seemed to be a sharp instrument or weapon, not teeth.
"I told the truth." Loki muttered.
You smiled up at him in relief, "thanks, I can see that. Here." From a pack at your waist, you pulled out a makeshift bandage. It wasn't as fancy as what the doctor would bring but it'd help with the bleeding for now.
"Thanks." Loki murmured as you tied it in place.
“Well, you’re clearly not bit, bites don’t stop bleeding and there’s no sign that-”
The door opened and Miranda poked her head in, “Full body search, dearie.” She called cheerily, disappearing as the door closed behind her.
You closed your eyes in exasperation, pinching the bridge of your nose and sighing heavily.
Loki chuckled, “If it eases this pain, I don’t mind it, honestly. And I’d rather do it for a pretty girl like yourself than some brute.” Loki flashed you a grin and shifted towards the buttons of his trousers. His hands were pale from the blood loss and your tourniquet only helped so much. He would need a lot of time in recovery, and probably a transfusion if your doctor could manage it. “Sorry,” he muttered, disgusted by his weakness.
You sighed again and stepped closer to him, undoing the button and helping him ease out of the trousers. Knowing Miranda would step in again, you nodded shortly at him to remove his boxers.
Loki chuckled and shook his head, before reaching for them and slowly shucking them off. He kicked them to the side and stood there in all his naked glory. You tried to stay professional as you had him turn in a circle for signs of any bites but you would be lying if you said you were successful. Your eyes widened when his back was to you, the only time you allowed yourself to show more emotion than the deep blush scorching your face.
“Yea, you look good, I mean no bites, I mean you look good anyways, but like,” You snapped your mouth shut and looked away, bending over to pick up his clothes. “Here.” You muttered, pressing them into his hands.
Loki raised an eyebrow, “Thank you,” he smirked.
Just as Loki managed to finish buttoning his trousers, a knock sounded at the door and the doctor walked in, immediately escorting Loki to the infirmary and preparing to take care of him.
Miranda walked in seconds later, crying with laughter. “Oh you should have seen your face. This was better than any comedy movie I’ve seen before this mess, this was too worth it.” She clasped your shoulder and smacked it playfully, “Thank you for that, you made my month. I don’t think I’ll be able to complain about these biters for at least a solid week with that bit of entertainment.”
“I’m glad someone got some amusement out of my embarrassment.”
Miranda wiped away a tear, “Honey, listen, I’ll set you up with the room he’s going to be placed in, and if you wander along it, well, it’s the apocalypse, I’m sure if something happens, no one will have a problem.”
You ignored her and stalked off, but try as you might, you heard exactly where he was.
-
It was late at night, almost a week later. Laying in your bed, you groaned, skin too warm, body desperate for... something. You forced yourself to stay oblivious, to not know what you needed but to no avail, you were horny.
You thought of Loki, that mysterious stranger with long black hair and cheeks that could cut glass; those piercing green eyes, long slender fingers, toned muscular torso, that ass, and his well endowed cock. You hadn’t failed to notice it during his entrance inspection and your dreams had reminded you almost nightly. After the last week, you could handle it no more.
Slipping out of your clothes, you reached for the robe you kept for showers. The breeze that slipped in beneath the opening felt heavenly on your too warm womanhood.
You sighed as your legs carried you to the infirmary. Lines and lines of cots, cordoned off with long sheets to afford a sense of privacy to each person. The infirmary was relatively empty as your compound hadn’t been attacked by humans and any non human attack usually left no survivors. You knew Loki to be in the last bed.
Silently, you padded down the aisle, certain no one was awake. Rounding the corner at last, you saw Loki sitting up on his cot, looking at you in amusement.
“You know, I wondered when you would come. I was starting to think you might not.”
You bit your lip, nervously standing in the entryway. “I wanted to check on you.”
“At close to one in the morning, when no one was around?” He grinned, leaning back on his elbows lazily.
You noted he was shirtless under the blankets, wrapped in fresh white bandages. “How are you doing?”
“Much better, thanks to you and your doctor. Thank you, even with the admittedly humiliating entrance exam, I appreciate it.”
“Humiliating?” You pulled your robe tighter around you.
“Your friend watching, normally when I woo a girl I don’t care for an audience, I prefer just the two of us.” He smirked again, eyes sparkling.
You dropped your robe to the ground, revealing your naked self to him. “Is that so?”
Loki’s eyes widened as he took the sight of you in, his gaze running up and down the length of your body. “Beautiful.” He whispered, finally returning his gaze to yours. “And you want?”
“It’s not obvious?” You smirked at him.
“I never want to presume.” Loki chuckled, “Unfortunately I am still quite injured, I won’t be as vigorous as I normally am and I think that’s a damn shame.”
“When you get better, we’ll have all the time in the world, but for now, I need this.”
“Eager, I like that.” Loki licked his lips.
You walked over to him and pulled down his sheets, helping him lift his hips and removing the last of his garments. His cock was already half erect at the sight of you and you purred slightly, tongue darting out as you sank onto the cot and licked him slowly. Your tongue swirled around its hilt, slowly up its length and on the head, eagerly taking him in your mouth as you held back your hair and began to bob and suck. Loki groaned loudly as you worked at his member, his hips thrusting up into your mouth as you hollowed out your cheeks and sucked. Slowly you pulled off him, leaving a trail of saliva up his member.
“Do you need?” Loki asked, glancing down at your womanhood.
“Hell no, I’m wet just thinking about you.” You crawled over top him, resting your hands on his chest. You rubbed your clit a few times, making sure that your claims were true before slowly sinking down onto him. The two of you groaned loudly as your cunt slid over his cock.
“Fuck, you feel divine.” Loki groaned.
“So do you.” You panted, breathing hard as your tried to relax around his girth. Tentatively, you squeezed your walls, looking for his reaction as Loki moaned softly, head arching back into the cot.
“Don’t tease, woman, it’s been far too long for me to want to hold out.”
“Out of practice?”
Loki’s eyes shot open, and he scowled, “And you’ve been able to meet many eligible people in the recent events?”
“Fair enough.” You shrugged, body aching for you to move. You could see Loki’s body trembling, needing release as badly as you did. Slowly you circled your hips enjoying the sounds of Loki’s heady moans. Gripping his shoulders, you began to lift yourself up, almost to the tip then slam back down, impaling yourself as deep as you could go. Loki struggled to thrust his hips in time with yours but you could tell his injury had really left him weak, nonetheless, he still fought to keep your pace. You bounced up and down with him, breasts bouncing as you moved, thrusting his cock deep into you and fingering your clit as you moved. You felt Loki’s cock twitching as he gripped your thighs, helping to lift you higher and thrust you down harder. Rubbing at your clit vigorously, your release soon came, stars dancing across your vision as your orgasm struck. Your inner walls spasmed, tightening on his cock and you screamed out. Loki continued to help you thrust into him, your legs growing exhausted with the movements but making certain that he came as well, especially since he had managed to hold off and let you cum first.
Loki’s cock twitched hard, bursting within you as his seed spilled within your folds. The two of you rode out the last waves of your orgasms, slowly coming to a stop as you at last pulled yourself off him, stretching out and laying on his good side, curled against him.
“How was that?” You mumbled sleepily into his shoulder, pressing soft kisses.
Loki stroked his fingers through your hair tiredly, “A good start, when I’m better, I will make up for you doing all the work tonight.”
“Good.” You snuggled tighter against him and fell asleep.
