If Princess Grizelda is actually related to the Rainbow King somehow... What? Why does she look like a human and he looks like that? The Rainbow King is ancient/immortal. So will Grizelda eventually start looking like him as she ages?

Or maybe she was adopted or something.

Or maybe... Maybe the humans are the weird ones. There's only three: True, Zee, and Grizelda. Maybe the humans were cursed somehow, and everyone else in the Rainbow Kingdom just doesn't mention it because it's rude to remind them of that particular trauma.

TRUE REMAKE LORE

The story is called True and the Shadows of The Kingdom, kinda a placeholder name, but this is a fan made remake:

Wishified earth, circa millions of years in the future. Many a century since the wish, an ancient deity, had awoken. They were disappointed with humans and their greedy ways, and thought it would be better if they’d all just stop. So, it used its wish powers to corrupt everyone, turning them into pastel, mutated, and mindlessly happy and incompetent creatures. The only people unable to be corrupted were people too innocent to be made any more innocent; children. But they were still mildly corrupted, leaving them with unique hair and eye colors. As the corruption spread around earth, they put three mutated children in cryogenic pods. Many centuries later, they would be unearthed by Heather, the last human and guardian of the wishes. The only person left human. She raised the three kids, and names them True, Grizelda, and Zee. Eventually, she has to leave, but everyone thinks she’s passed of illness, leaving True and Zee especially devastated. But in secret she was actually being wishified by overuse of wishes. Now she’s deep underground, her mortal body fueling the roots of the wishing tree. Part of her soul was put into Bartleby, her familiar and closest companion, to watch over True.

Now True is thirteen, she’s having a ceremony, and suddenly the wishes stray from the Wishing Tree, as the sky turns bloody red and wishes lose their luminescence, turn that dark and dimn. The only other this has happens is when Heather died, she remembered her mentor, ill in bed, practically coughing up a lung, bags under her eyes, she looked frail and sickly. The Rainbow King tried to brush it off as nothing, but he seems as anxious as she is. Something is horribly wrong….. (There’s more btw don’t worry)

One that I've had for a while is Zee(true and the rainbow kingdom) and Miserable Marla(starbeam). He's a somewhat introverted intellectual, and she's the type of person that wants to interact with others, but doesn't like admitting it. I can totally see them just chilling in a room together, he's reading something and occasionally she goes to take a look at it, each time he notices she goes and pretends like she wasn't really interested, and she keeps expecting him to comment on it, but he never does because he doesn't want to put pressure on the situation, and eventually she feels comfortable enough that she doesn't mind if he knows that she's enjoying this.

watching kids shows while living with a 5-year-old for a while has made me want to make True and The Rainbow Kingdom & PJ Masks OCS-

All I know is the Pj Masks Oc would be either a dog (specifically golden retriever) or a bee cause those are obviously the only reasonable options 🙄 /j

and the True and The Rainbow Kingdom Oc would be friends with Zee and become friends with True And Bartleby when they come to the wish tree (wishing tree? wish- Idk if its wishING or just wish tree-)
