summary : you’re the youngest miya , a year behind your brothers . graduation rolls around for them and you fight with your long time crush , suna rintarō . after you graduate , you move in with the twins who are living together , only to find out that suna will be staying with you guys for a week . how will this change things ? will it change things ?

‘why’d you lie for them?’

a/n : a bit of a more angsty chapter (??) there will be more written ones in the future !! probably some written smut at some point as well, which i will put warnings on <3

you trudged down the wooden steps of your home, dreading the conversation with your brothers. makki and mattsun had snuck out your window, not before forcing a bottle of eye drops into your hand. you took a deep breath and turned to face them, osamu’s arms crossed sternly over his chest and atsumu’s eyes cast to the floor sadly. suna sat in an arm chair, his bored expression the same as it was in high school.

“listen, i can explain-“, “can you?”

it came from suna. your eyes narrowed and you exhaled slowly. “osamu, i promise i can explain, it’s a misunderstanding.” his glare only sharpened. atsumu cut in before anyone else had a chance to speak, looking up in your direction. “y/n, ive had this talk with you before, remember? that stuff destroys your body, i don’t want to see my little sister become an addict.” he spoke quietly, softly. there was a small crack in his voice near the end of his sentence. “y/n, you can’t get out of this one. just tell us who gave it to you.” osamu had finally allowed his shoulders to relax, yet rintarō’s seemed tensed up now. “i don’t remember his name. it was a random dealer that reached out on instagram.” you said quietly, not wanting to throw your best friends under the bus. “then, starting tomorrow, atsumu and i will have access to your instagram account. i’ll give you tonight to get anything you don’t want us to see out of your dms.” you sighed, “alright. that’s fine-“, “she’s lying.” suna spoke up from his place in the living room. “she probably got it from her friends. who are they again? makki and mattsun?” he smirked. “is this true?” atsumu turned to you. “what? no!” you shouted and flared your nostrils. “of course it’s not, they wouldn’t bring me around that kind of stuff.” you defended. osamu took a deep breath in. “just go upstairs for now...” he mumbled under his breath. “what? am i grounded or something? osamu, i’m not a child.” the tips of your ears were hot and red. “you’re a child right now, go upstairs!” he shouted. he never shouted at you. not even when you were younger. your eyes teared up as you stood there in shock. turning on your heel and running upstairs, you let a few of them fall.

kiyoomi immediately rushed to your room when he arrived. he held you while you cried until you both fell asleep. it was around 2 in the morning when you woke up and went down to the kitchen for something to eat since you hadn’t eaten dinner.

“what are you doing awake?” you froze, slowly turning to face the voice.

“why do you care suna?”

“why’d you lie for them?”

‘i have to tell you guys something’

a/n : hiii so i brought u guys another written portion ! this kinda hurt to write bc i love suna but it’s ok . we’re finally gonna learn what happened in chapter 5 so !!! also m sorry for the lack of makki n mattsun , theyre coming , i promise !!!

“why’d you lie for them?”

you looked at him, confused. “makki and mattsun, why’d you lie for them?” he asked again, his eyes softening. “i’ve been lying for you for years now, is it really that hard to believe that i can keep a secret?” he stepped closer to you. “but why?” he was towering over you in a way that made you weak in the knees. you shook your head slightly and stepped back. “why? they’re my best friends suna. they were the only people i had after... well, you know.” you spoke bitterly as he slowly backed you into the wall. “y/n, can we talk about this?” he asked softly, as if he was afraid you’d break if he spoke too loudly. you felt something cold and hard touch your back, only then realizing how close he was to you. if he moved any closer, your lips would be touching. “there’s nothing to talk about.” you stood your ground. he sighed and you could feel his warm breath on your face. mint and chamomile, you’d never forget that smell, how his tongue tasted against yours. that’s when he leaned in, one hand gently placing itself on your waist as your lips touched for the first time in 2 years. you got lost in it, just happy to have him again. he pulled away slowly and unwillingly, staring into your eyes, his filled with sadness and regret. he rested his hand against your cheek, softly wiping away a tear you didn’t know you let out. you almost leaned into his touch. almost. you heard footsteps coming downstairs and gently pushed him away, rushing to your room. you bumped into kiyoomi. “hey, i was wondering where you went.” he said quietly, “just wanted to find something to eat,” you spoke, “there wasn’t anything i really wanted. can we go back upstairs?” he looked at you with concern and tucked you under his arm, pulling you away from the kitchen and into your bed. as he turned to look at the kitchen light that was flickering, he saw suna step out with a pained expression.
