Youths : Catalysts for Change in the Modern Era

Youth generation is a generation that looks forward to a better tomorrow, with the tools and knowledge to affect change in a given era. This power lies in the hands of youth and the power as backed by the technological enhancement, connectivity, and the overall call for change. Therefore, there can be little doubt that empowerment as a theory represents a light of hope and a need, an imperative of our current time, for today’s youths. The term ‘youth’ is a very wide one because it covers a lot of people from young people who are still in the adolescent age to young adults who are still in their young adulthood looking for job, purpose, and place to make a difference. While the previous generations achieved certain milestones and paved the way towards progress, today’s young generation is challenged by a different set of conditions, which are rooted in globalization, technological integration, and socio-economic instabilities. However, in this context, numerous untouchable opportunities for power and growth are hidden. In other words, it is about enabling individuals to make a change – to provide them with the skills , necessary means and the ability to control their outcomes as well as the surrounding environment. In the case of the youth, political empowerment takes multiple forms of release and operates beyond a singular box and margin, which provoke change across various sectors. Education is thus underlined as the base for youth’s power in as much as it provides young people with the knowledge instruments they can apply in both work and decision-making domains. It breaks the information barrier that bombards the youth with data, knowledge, but grants them opportunities to learn to inquire, create, and build a world powered by enlightening knowledge. Also, education empowers youths as it provides them with the awareness as well as the tools for socio-political realms. But, in its broader sense, disengagement is not limited to the academic circles alone; it is a concept that cuts across different areas of life including business, politics, social justice, and many more. Take the case of social entrepreneurship, for instance there is Projection of how youth creatively engage in enterprise to solve major social challenges by enhancing economic gain and sustainable development. Having a "I've connected the dots" moment on why Zeus is so affectionate with Apollo, and I don't know why I'd never considered it before that Apollo's youth could be a reason.

So there was this sentiment that young boys are the dearest to the gods, and the gods are especially attentive towards their requests. And since Apollo is a perpetual young boy himself, with Zeus being the one to grant him this gift in one version, it makes sense that Zeus has granted so many of Apollo's wishes. He spared Prometheus and Periphas upon Apollo's request even though he was personally offended by them. He agreed to suppress Gaia and Athena upon Apollo's request when it came to the oracular business. He even revived Asclepius to console Apollo despite Apollo's frankly disrespectful reaction to Asclepius' death.

Apollo might be fearsome, powerful, and even reckless at times but when he kneels down in supplication, all Zeus sees is his little boy that he loves so much, and he can't help but give in to his requests (well, most of his requests at least). And as far as the text is concerned, and if I'm interpreting this correcltly, Apollo's youth is interestingly tied to his helpful nature because besides using his own powers to help the humans, Apollo can also help them by supplicating to Zeus on their behalf, as Zeus is more likely to grant a request when it's coming from him.

Maybe its just me but I think its really fucked up that the only way teachers can "help" a child is with cps and the fucking police. I think its really fucked up that they're constantly talking about "tell a trusted adult" when sometimes you just don't fucking have one. Because all of them were bad options. I think its fucked up that my, and many many many children's only fucking options have been tell someone and put everything in danger or do nothing and continue on in silence. I think its fucked up that even without saying it I had to start understanding that no matter how kinda a teacher, or counselor, or school staff member was to me at times, that they would never put me over them being held liable or their job. I would never be that important. They get to pat themselves on the back while I get put in handcuffs and put treated like an example of what not to do as if im not even there. I think its really fucked up that at a certain point it will never matter how nice a teacher is, no matter how many "I know it sucks...." or "I'm sorry but it's my job..."s or "I don't want to have to do this..."s you get, because its always the same fucking thing. Your a liability, and no adult is going to risk their job with a child that they could easily just hand to someone else more 'qualified' to handle.

In any X-men omegaverse au Charles obviously is going to have a mating bite courtesy of Magneto.

Except I lean towards the worldbuilding where mating bites and bonds will wear off in time if they're not actively maintained.

But Charles still spends more time with a mating bite/bond than not because every time it's nearly been long enough or has just been long enough for it to wear off he and Magneto end up working together for one reason or another and by the end of it Charles has a fresh bite and renewed bond.

The timing is actually coincidental (and more a testiment to how often they end up working together) but is still very much the elephant in the room when Magneto inevitably leaves again and they return to being advesaries.

Hey, remember like 10 years ago when many of us were in our teens and twenties? Remember how there were all those news articles making fun of “millennials and their avocado toast,” that they didn’t know certain skills that had stopped being taught in school, that they were ruining the economy by killing various industries?

Remember how we rightfully said that was bullshit and we would be the generation to end it, that we would be nice to the generation after us?

I’ve seen a couple posts shitting on gen alpha kids. Don’t do that. Remember that they’ve already been through climate disasters, political unrest, and a global pandemic in their young lives. Talk to them. If they’re being rude, it’s probably because they’re struggling, not because they’re evil. Treat them as we wanted to be treated when we were their age. Children are people.
