A Family of Her Own
Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader
A Family of Her Own Series
1/7
Masterlist | General Masterlist
w/c: 3.8k
Summary: After the fall of the Avengers, Natasha Romanoff returns home to her secret family—a life she's carefully hidden away for years. Struggling to balance her role as a mother and wife while avoiding the dangers of her past, Natasha is forced to make difficult decisions that impact her loved ones.
The soft hum of the refrigerator was the only sound in the small, run-down trailer. Natasha leaned casually against the counter, arms folded, her sharp eyes fixed on Ricky Mason. He was standing close, too close, but that was part of their routine. Banter, teasing, pushing each others limits. His lips curved into that familiar smirk as he crossed his arms, mimicking her stance.
"I hear things, you know. Something about the Avengers getting divorced."
Natasha let out a soft, dismissive chuckle, her gaze never wavering from his. Her lips pulled into a crooked smile, just enough to make him think he was getting somewhere. He wasn’t.
"Ugh, it’s fine. I’m actually better on my own."
She said it smoothly, confidently. No hesitation. Natasha Romanoff was always fine. She had to be. And if there was a flicker of something behind those green eyes, Mason wouldn’t see it. She wouldn’t let him.
“Are you sure?” Ricky titled his head slightly. Natasha was always a tough cookie to crack. Though he’s sure it came with the territory.
The question hung in the air for a moment, a challenge he tossed at her like it was nothing. Natasha shifted her weight slightly, stepping in just a little closer, closing the gap between them. She tilted her head, her eyes locking onto his with the kind of intensity that would’ve made anyone else back down. But not Mason.
"Yeah. I’m sure."
The way she said it left no room for doubt. Mason raised an eyebrow, but he wasn’t fooled, not entirely. There was something about the way she held herself—too casual, too composed. He let out a breath, deciding to poke just a little more.
"Because you can tell me, you know. That’s the way the whole friends thing works."
Natasha's lips quirked into a smirk, amusement flickering in her eyes. She leaned back slightly, her gaze still locked onto his. She wasn’t going to let him see anything more than what she wanted him to see.
"I have friends."
"People who have friends don’t call me."
There was a beat of silence, a brief pause where something unspoken lingered between them. Natasha didn’t flinch. She didn’t break eye contact, didn’t let her smile falter. This was the game they played. Mason might have been onto something, but if he thought he could crack her, he was wrong.
"Oh, come on. You’d miss me if I didn’t."
Her voice was smooth, light, almost teasing. Mason chuckled, shaking his head. He wasn’t going to push her any further. He knew better.
But there it was again—that subtle shift in her eyes, a flash of something deeper that she buried as quickly as it surfaced. Mason didn’t miss it, but he wasn’t going to call her out. Not today.
“If you ever get tired of being ‘better on your own,’ you know where to find me."
He turned to leave, but before stepping out, he paused, throwing her one last look over his shoulder. She met his gaze, still composed, still every bit the Black Widow.
******
The hot water poured over Natasha’s skin, steam filling the tiny bathroom. She kept her head down, eyes closed, letting the heat soak into her muscles, washing away the grime of the past few days. It was the only time she allowed herself to be still—moments like this, when no one was watching, no one was waiting.
Her mind drifted, not willingly, but out of habit. The sound of the water hitting the floor reminded her of something else, a smaller echo, lighter footsteps.
Stella.
She could almost hear the little girl's voice, high-pitched and insistent, always asking to jump in with her. Every time, Natasha would give in—how could she not?—and the same thing would happen. Stella would giggle, waddle in, and the moment the water hit her face, she’d screech like it was some big surprise.
Natasha’s lips twitched, the barest hint of a smile breaking through. The memory was sharp, vivid, but she pushed it away as quickly as it surfaced. She couldn’t linger on it. Couldn’t afford to.
The water rolled over her back, and she let out a slow breath. This was all temporary. The accords, the separation, the silence—she told herself it was necessary. That it was safer this way. Her family didn’t need to be tangled up in her mess, her enemies.
Stella didn’t need to know why her mama couldn’t always come home.
The thought hung in the air for a moment, but Natasha didn’t let it settle. She wiped a hand over her face, letting the heat pull her back into the present. She had more important things to focus on. Things that required her mind to be clear, her heart colder.
Still, as she turned off the water, the final hiss of the shower rang in her ears, and for just a second, she could hear that screech again, faint and far away. A small piece of her life, one she kept locked away, just out of reach.
She stepped out of the shower, shaking off the warmth like a soldier readying for battle.
It wasn’t time to go home yet.
*****
The low rumble of the movie filled the trailer, the worn-out speakers crackling slightly as the dialogue continued.
“You’re not a sportsman, Mr. Bond.” Hugo Drax recited his lines on screen.
Natasha smirked to herself, leaning back into the creaky couch, damp strands of hair still clinging to her neck. Her thermal t-shirt clung to her skin, and the grey sweatpants she’d pulled on after the shower felt too soft, almost unfamiliar after days of tactical gear and dirt.
Natasha muttered along. “Why did you break up the encounter with my pet python? Because I discovered he had a crush on me.”
She knew the lines by heart. It wasn’t like she hadn’t seen Moonraker a hundred times already. But sitting here, alone in the trailer, the dialogue fell flat, the empty space swallowing up the sound.
The movie flickered on, oblivious to the tension tightening in her chest.
Her mind drifted, unbidden, to you. How you’d watch these same old movies together. The way you would stretch out on the couch, feet bare, legs sprawled across Natasha’s lap like it was the most natural thing in the world. She could almost feel it—the gentle press of toes against her thigh, the warmth that spread under her skin, grounding her in a way nothing else could.
A ghost of a smile tugged at the corner of Natasha’s lips, but it didn’t last. The memory was soft, fleeting, and the cold reality of the trailer in Norway wrapped around her like a shadow.
******
The air felt stifling as Natasha and Yelena sat across from each other, both nursing cheap beer and open wounds. Yelena’s eyes sparkled with a teasing grin, but Natasha wasn’t in the mood to play along.
“Did you ever look for your parents? Your real ones?” Yelena pried.
The question hit harder than Natasha expected, but she didn’t flinch. She rarely did. Years of training kept her from showing anything she didn’t want to reveal. Her response was sharp, automatic.
“Well, my mom abandoned me in the street like garbage. What about you?”
Yelena shrugged, almost too casual, her tone light as if they were discussing the weather.
“They destroyed my birth certificate, so I reinvented it. My parents still live in Ohio. My sister moved out west.”
Natasha leaned back in her seat, arms crossed, eyebrow raised. Yelena was always full of stories.
“Is that right?”
“You’re a science teacher. You’re working part-time, though, especially after you had your son. Your husband, he renovates houses.”
The words tumbled out of Yelena’s mouth with a smirk, a fabricated life she was painting for Natasha like a twisted game of make-believe. But for just a second, a flash of something else flickered through Natasha’s mind.
Her son.
Nick, tiny and fussy, gnawing on her finger as another tooth threatened to come through. His chubby hands reaching up for her, his babbling filling the air as she cradled him close, the warmth of his little body against hers.
And Stella. Always loud, always full of energy, tugging at Natasha’s sleeve, begging her to play, to jump in the water with her. Stella's laugh, so bright it echoed in Natasha’s mind even now.
For a split second, she let herself feel it—the tug in her chest, the pull toward the life she kept hidden, buried under layers of secrets.
But it was only a second. She blinked, shutting it down, locking it away as quickly as it had surfaced. She couldn’t afford to let Yelena see it.
“That is not my story.”
Her voice was firm, steady, betraying nothing. Yelena laughed, clearly unconvinced but playing along.“What is your story?”
Natasha looked away, her gaze fixed on some far-off point, something Yelena couldn’t see.
“I never let myself be alone long enough to think about it.” She said.
And that was true. As much as her family—the real one—crossed her mind in these quiet moments, she never let herself dwell on it for too long. Never let herself fall into the temptation of the life she had with you. She couldn’t. Not here, not now. Not with Yelena looking at her like that, trying to pry open the parts of her Natasha wasn’t ready to share.
Her story was too dangerous. Too fragile. And if Yelena knew the truth, if anyone knew about her family it would unravel everything.
So, she kept it locked away, deep inside. She could protect you by keeping you invisible, untouchable.
*******
The sun dipped low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue across the small house nestled in the middle of nowhere—a place that felt like home, yet remained a secret. The air was still, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the trees that surrounded the property. It wasn’t isolated, not by any means; there were neighbors close enough to wave at, but the land was expansive enough to feel like a world away.
Natasha stood on the front porch, her heart pounding in her chest. Behind her, Melina, Alexei, and Yelena lingered, uncertainty written on their faces.
“What is this place?”Alexei asked.
“If I didn’t know any better I’d say she’s taking us to a secret family,” Yelena replied. Natasha’s eyes flickered between them. Melina’s face was knowing. She didn’t need answers.
“Just wait here for a moment.” She held up a hand. Her voice was soft but firm, and she didn’t turn to face them fully. Instead, she kept her gaze on the door. Her entire life behind it.
Melina stepped forward, concern etched on her features. “Natasha, are you sure about this?”
Natasha finally turned, meeting her mother’s gaze. There was warmth there, a flicker of understanding.
“I need to do this. I need to let you in.”
She felt a tug at her heart—a longing for connection she had kept at bay for so long. But this was different. This was her family, the ones who had fought with her and for her, the ones who understood the weight of their shared past.
It’s quiet in the house. Almost too quiet. Natasha steps inside to see her home immaculately cleaned. No sign of toys, no sign of people living here.
She swallows the lump in her throat and makes her way through the house into the kitchen. It’s there she finds you. All three of you.
It’s Stella that notices her first. She’s dressed in a princess costume with a crown on her head. When her eyes meet her Mama’s, she gasps and shouts,
"Mama!"
Your head snaps up, and for a moment, it's like everything is frozen. A look of surprise and confusion crosses your face, followed by a flicker of hurt. The room is silent, and then there's the sound of a baby's whimpering.
Natasha looks at the high chair sitting near the dining table. There's Nick, fussing and red-faced.
“Mama, you’re home?” The two-year old raced across the room, her crown shifting on her head, as she raised up her arms.
You move toward the high chair, wiping your hands on a dishtowel. Stella reaches her, and Natasha scoops her up.
"Hey, Stella, I missed you." Natasha places a gentle kiss on Stella’s hair. The two year old wraps her tiny arms around Natasha’s neck.
"You've been gone forever. Why don't you come home anymore? Did you miss me, mama?"
"Yes, I've missed you every second."
Stella leans back, her brows furrowing. “Did you change your hair? Not red anymore.”
Natasha smiles a soft chuckle leaving her. "Not exactly. I dyed it.”
"Oh, well, it's pretty. Can I dye mine? I want blue."
Natasha glances at the highchair where you're busy wiping Nick's face. There's no expression on your face, no hint of how you feel. She looks back at Stella.
"Let's talk about that later, okay?"
Stella nods. "Okay."
"Are you hungry?" You speak up.
"No, no,” Natasha shakes her head. “Can I see him?”
She walks over, and Stella wiggles in her arms. She wants to run to her brother, but Natasha is holding her close.
"Nick." Natasha gently nudges his cheek. His tiny lips pout, and his eyes widen as he stares at his mother. It seems that he looks to you for confirmation of whether or not Natasha is a safe person.
"He's grown," she says.
"He has," you reply, watching her.
"Hey, big guy." She kisses his chubby cheeks, and Stella giggles.
"He's soft, Mama." Stella reaches out and runs her fingers over her brother's arm. "Isn't he soft, Mom?"
"He is, sweetie."
Natasha puts Stella down.
“He has some teeth now,” Stella informs her. “He even bites Mommy’s boobies now when he’s eating. She always says ouch.”
You choke back a laugh and cover your mouth. You turn to the sink. Natasha grins and chuckles.
"Is that right? Are you biting your Mommy’s boobies, Nicky?"
Nick simply reaches his arms out much like his sister.
"He missed you, too," Stella says, her hand resting on Natasha's leg.
"I know, I'm sorry. Mama had to go away for a bit."
"Why do you have to leave all the time? Why can't you stay home?" Stella pouts.
Natasha crouches down. She takes Stella's hands in hers.
"I can't, not right now, but I'm here for a little bit, okay? And we're going to spend time together."
"Really? Will you take me swimming again? I really want to swim in the pool, but Mama won't let me. She says she's afraid I'll drown."
"Of course, I'll take you swimming."
"Can you bring a shark? Please?"
Natasha chuckles. "I'll see what I can do."
She stands and looks at Nick who is still reaching for her. He's babbling, his lips moving and his face getting redder.
"He wants you to hold him,” Stella reminds her.
"Oh, okay." Natasha lifts him up and holds him close. She's always careful, and she always loves the way her son feels in her arms. He snuggles close, his chubby arms wrapping around her.
You watch them for a second longer. Stella decides she’s had enough and leaves to her bedroom. No doubt to find something new to show Natasha. When Natasha puts Nicky back into his high chair, she has your attention again.
“You’re not mad at me, are you?” She asks.
You bite your lip and shake your head.
"No. I'm not mad. Surprised."
"I shouldn't have left you hanging like that, though."
"It's okay." You say softly. She reaches out an arm to pull you in.
"How long are you staying?" You ask.
"Just two days. I promise. I want to spend some time with them."
You nod, and Natasha kisses your temple. "Thank you.” She says. “For keeping them safe.”
“It’s what we agreed on,” You say. “I was afraid they would find us. Ross. He seems to be on a witch hunt for you.”
“I’ve taken care of that for now,” Natasha shakes her head.
You frown and tilt your head.
"Taken care of it?"
"Yeah. We'll be okay. I'll explain everything. I have to tell them everything, too. But for now, I'm home.” She wraps her arms around your waist, hoping to get closer, hoping to feel you.
"Can we just forget about it, for a while, at least? Can we go back to the way things were?" She asks.
"I don’t know if that’s possible,” You mumble. You feel her hand run along your back soothingly. You’ve missed her touch.
"We'll figure it out. Okay?" She asks.
You nod and wrap your arms around her neck. "I've missed you."
"I've missed you, too."
She looks into your eyes, leaning forward, her lips resting against yours. It’s not a kiss. Not yet.
"I love you," she says.
"I love you." You respond.
She closes the distance, kissing you tenderly, holding you tightly. Your lips are soft, and she can taste the remnants of coffee on your tongue.
“Forgive me,” Natasha whispers. You want to ask her what for. Why would she need forgiveness? But the words are lost in the soft press of her lips against yours.
She pulls away, her forehead resting against yours.
"I'm sorry," She says. “I’ve been gone too long. He doesn’t remember me.” She’s referring to Nicky.
"He does. He will," You say. "You have time."
Natasha gives a small smile.
"I'm tired. Can we just...go to bed? Just lay with me for a bit."
“Mama, did you leave people on the porch?” Stella shouts in curiosity. It’s then you follow her voice. She’s standing with her face against the screen door, seemingly having a staring contest with a blonde woman.
Natasha laughs and turns toward the door.
"Oh, right." She steps outside and comes back with three people trailing behind her. Stella clings to her, tiny hands gripping her t-shirt, as they all walk back into the kitchen. “This is my family.” Neither of you know who she is referring to.
“You have a family?” Melina whispers in amazement. Though she’d guessed it the longer they waited outside.
"Who are they?" Stella asks.
"This is my mom, and dad, and my baby sister Yelena,” Natasha supplies. You look over at her curiously. “This is my wife, y/n and our children. Stella is two going on twenty five. Dominic, or Nick, is almost eight months.”
“Wife?” Yelena furrows her brow. “I was way off then.”
You glance between Natasha and the new arrivals, unsure what to make of it.
Natasha sighs.
"There's a lot to talk about."
"Clearly," Alexei says, his eyes wide as he takes in the small family before him.
"Why don't you sit down and get comfortable," You suggest, gesturing to the living room. "I'll get everyone something to drink and maybe a snack. Natasha can catch you up."
They all sit, Stella moving with them to sit upon the couch. She and Yelena end up in another staring contest.
"This is awkward," Yelena whispers.
"Just give it time," Melina says.
"I have so many Barbie’s upstairs,” Stella offers up small talk. “Do you play barbies?” She turns her head to Alexei.
"No, no. I don't," He says.
Stella nods and turns her gaze to Melina. "What about you?"
"No, no barbies," Melina responds.
“Uncle Steve plays Barbie’s when he comes,” Stella sighs.
"Steve plays Barbies?" Yelena's brow raises.
"Yes. Uncle Steve is really good at playing. He lets me have the car and the doll."
"Then I will play Barbie’s too,” Alexei gestures. “Bring them.” His one sided competition would never end. Not even when it came to playing Barbies.
“You don’t know what you just started,” Natasha helps you bring in the drinks and a few bags of chips. You don’t usually have guests.
Melina takes the drink from Natasha and watches the way the two of you interact. There's an ease, a comfort, and it makes her wonder just how much she really knew about her daughter.
"I’m sure there are things you want to know,” You sit with Nicky in your lap. He eyes the newcomers curiously.
"Like why we never met you, why this is the first time you are bringing us to this place," Yelena says, looking around. “Why no information is out there about you.
"I thought the house was a cover," Alexei speaks up.
"It is," Natasha says.
"But, it's real?" Melina asks.
Natasha looks around the room, and the smile on her face is genuine. It's full of warmth and love. “It is.”
“I’m sure I’m in a database somewhere,” You begin. “I’m former SHIELD.”
Yelena and Alexei share a look, and Melina looks at her daughter.
"What is your full name, y/n?" Melina asks.
You smile politely. "My name is y/n Romanoff-L/n. My maiden name was y/l/n. I was born in 1986. I'm 30. I have a degree in computer science. I met Natasha shortly after her defection but we didn’t start dating until years later.”
"And that's when you had Stella," Melina states.
"Yes," You smile.
"And when did you get married?"
"Four years ago," Natasha supplies.
"This is real news," Alexei states.
Natasha chuckles. "We've been together for a while. 8 years."
"It's not a traditional story," You say, bouncing Nicky in your lap.
“How does being hidden work for the kids?” Melina asks.
"It's not easy. We try to make it seem as normal as possible. Stella doesn't understand everything. She's not even 3 yet. But we're working on it."
"Mama, can you open this?” Stella asks as she passes Natasha a juice box as if it’s her normal thing.
"Natasha being a soccer mom was not on my list of things,” Yelena mumbles.
"I'm not a soccer mom," Natasha defends.
"You kind of are," You chuckle.
"Mama is a super-duper cool spy," Stella states.
"You've told her that?" Alexei asks.
"Not in detail," You say. "But, we've talked about it."
"Mama has to protect us from the bad guys," Stella adds, taking a sip of her juice. “And when I’m big enough I’m gonna do it too. Like Wanda.”
“She has the biggest crush on Wanda.” You elaborate.
"And how does Wanda fit into this?" Yelena asks.
"I work with Wanda," Natasha states.
"But the whole time you've been doing that, you've also been coming home to a wife and kids," Alexei points out.
It wasn't always easy," You admit.
"It's not," Natasha shakes her head.
"I'm going to get dinner started. If you'll excuse me."
Natasha looks over and watches as you get up. You're carrying Nicky and Stella is trailing behind you.
"You can join her if you'd like," Natasha suggests. "She's used to doing this on her own, but, the more help the better."
"Your life is so complicated," Yelena sighs.
"Tell me about it," Natasha laughs.

the words i cant say
summary - matt is infatuated with you, you’re all he ever thinks about now. having no one to let these secrets out to, he decided why not write about them instead..
it was killing him, having to keep these secrets to himself for so long was tiring. the only thing being his outlet was his journal, pages among pages filled with him just rambling about you. of course he would never tell you these things, afraid of going over your boundaries and ruining the whole friendship.
if you were to ask him what he loved most about you he wouldn’t be able to answer that question, he loved every single bit of you. of course he wrote about that as well, he couldn’t not think about you even if he tried.
a couple weeks ago..
“her everything is perfect, her eyes, her style, her humor, the way her smile brightens when i compliment her on anything - june 19th”
“she looked so pretty today, i kept staring at her lips i hope she didn’t notice.. - june 25th”
“her voice is the sweetest thing i’ve ever heard, i can talk to her for hours - july 12th”
“i cant help but wonder if she thinks about me the way i think about her - july 22nd”
to shorten it down he was in love with you, and he had no plan of telling you anytime soon.
he wanted to push these feelings away, feeling bad for pining over his own best friend while you had no knowledge of it. he couldn’t help it though, he thinks back to the countless amount of times you two had spent together. late night drives, going thrifting, or just staying in watching cheesy rom-com movies.
during group settings his eyes would wonder over to you, staring longingly at you laughing and smiling big while you were having the time of your life. you would turn your head and see his light colored eyes looking at you with a soft expression, which ended up in both of you turning away while heat rushed to your cheeks.
there was some nights where you stayed up thinking about him, just wondering what if? but you brushed it off, thinking maybe its all in your head..
you were coming over today, it was nothing new, you always came over to hang out when you didn’t have anything specifically planned. you were excited to see matt, you haven’t seen him in two weeks due to his work schedule and all of his meetings piled up. he finally had a free day and you were overly excited when he asked you if you wanted to hang out.
you loved spending time with him, no matter what it was. as long as it was with him you were happy.
he had texted you to come whenever you wanted, you were already in pretty comfy clothes so you got your keys and left. the drive there was calm, music flowing through the car consumed the silence and before you know it you’re already in their driveway.
you texted matt that you were outside already and not even a minute passes before you hear the door unlock and open, you were met with his disheveled figure, hair messy, slightly cropped shirt and sweatpants resting low on his waist..
“finally kid you’re here, you were taking forever” a smile spread across his face as he rolled his eyes sarcastically. you step inside as he holds the door for you, “i haven’t seen you in forever and you already have a attitude??” you say raising an eyebrow as you set your keys down on the table.
“oh come on, you know i missed you doll.” that name. you didn’t hear it often but when you did your cheeks would turn bright red as you stumble over your words. that stupid grin on his face said everything you needed to know. “i missed you too, matt!!” you flashed a cheesy smile at him before you felt his arms wrap around you and pull you into his chest.
a couple months ago..
“the feeling of her arms around my waist feels so right.. wish i could always have her this close. - january 17th”
“she has to know what she’s doing, right?? fuck. her smile makes me weak. - january 29th”
“she looked gorgeous in that top with the little bow, her hair done up differently, her pretty jewelry scattered around her figure as well, i couldn’t help but steal glances each time she wasn’t looking in the car. - february 6th”
you return the hug, his comforting scent surrounds you, making you feel at peace. finally feeling his warmth that you longed for for a little too long, you both pull away and his face lights up. “shit- i forgot i had gotten you something when i was away, come on” your face forms into a confused expression “you didn’t have to do that matt, you know that right??” your smile still being very evident as you protest him getting you a gift.
“yeah yeah i know, but it made me think of you so i haddd to get it!” he grabbed your hand and dragged you over to his room, you flop down on the bed as he searches around looking for the gift. you hear him scattering around while muttering words to himself until a certain book under his pillow catches your eye.. you didn’t know matt was getting into reading? “ooh matt what book are you reading?” you hold it up to show him the hardcover journal.
“huh? im not readin- WAIT!“ you open it up to see your name on the first page, several times actually. you scan through it curiously, you finally realize that it was definitely not a regular book. he was basically confessing his love to you in every single page, matt was too late as he rushed over to you snatching the book from your hands.
you quickly stand up, jaw basically on the floor and your face redder than ever. you didn’t even know what to say, its not like you didn’t feel the same because you did.. its just you couldn’t believe he wrote all of that about you. “l-look y/n i can explain i just-“ his words coming out in stutters “matt, matt please, just calm down. okay? y-you’re okay, come on..” you lead him back over to his bed, both of you sitting down at the edge. “im really, really sorry y/n you weren’t supposed to read that. i understand if you feel uncomfortable or if you wanna leav-“ you cut him off bringing your hand to his cheek and leaning in, your lips colliding with his.
you caught him off guard but he instantly kisses back, you smile into the kiss and bring your other hand to back of his neck pulling him more in. his hands traveling down to your hips, holding onto you like you could disappear any moment. you both finally pull away, heavy breathing while you watch that same stupid grin form on his face.
“what?” you ask laughing. “nothing, its just- i’ve always thought i would be the one to kiss you first” his smirk growing wider by the second. “oh shut up, you’re so corny” you roll your eyes in a playful manner and push at his shoulder a little.
“i really did mean it you know? everything i said in that journal. you really, really mean a lot to me and i- i can’t see myself loving anyone else other than you y/n. since the first day i met you.” tears forming in your eyes as he continues to talk, “you mean everything to me. words can’t express how i feel for you, i would’ve said something sooner but i didn’t wanna ruin the relationship we already had and-“ you laugh at his mouth running off again, his nervousness taking over once more.
“matt, please im so sorry but shh. i feel the same way, you weren’t really the best at hiding that staring problem of yours you know..” you giggle at his embarrassed expression “i love you, a lot. you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me, you were always there for me whenever i needed someone and you never fail to make my days better. i love you so much.” he watches you in awe, how could someone so precious be in front of him right now?
“so does this mean like, im your boyfriend now, right..?” you giggle and take his hand into yours “well.. i dont know, i haven’t been asked yet..” he smiles and gives your hand a small kiss. “y/n, may i be your boyfriend?” your smile growing ten times bigger before you nod your head immediately. “yes, yes yes YES!” your arms instantly wrapping around his neck as you pull him into another kiss, this time it was filled with love, and patience. the world stopped the second you two filled the gap in between, until you feel him pull back.
“i love you so fucking much y/n. words wont ever be enough for me to show you how much i really do.”
“wait. what about my gift though?”

LIVE, LAUGH, VOMIT AND DIE : GOJO SATORU, GETO SUGURU.
your upperclassmen have been busier, leaving you all alone and lonely. but tonight they finally have some time off and decided to go on a midnight picnic together with their lovely underclassmen.
warning. drunk reader, vomit, fluff, crack, under-age drinking, very very suggestive, friend gojo kiss friend reader hehehe
MASTERLIST
these last few weeks had been bad for you. it felt like everything was off, and no matter what you did to distract yourself, the days just dragged on. you spent most of your time alone at school because your upperclassmen, gojo and geto, were busy with a long mission. especially gojo, who seemed to always be involved in something important. the absence of their chaotic energy made your days feel empty. nobody was there to get under your skin, tease you, or steal your food. there wasn’t anyone tugging your hair in the hallway or throwing a casual arm over your shoulders like you were all just some tight-knit little family.
despite how annoying they could be, you found yourself missing them more than you wanted to admit. you missed the loud laughs, the endless teasing, and even the way gojo would shamelessly swipe your food without a second thought. without them, everything just seemed too quiet. the usual chaos they brought into your day was gone, and you felt the emptiness more with each passing day.
it had been two whole weeks since you last saw them. the first few days, you convinced yourself you didn’t care—they were just a couple of annoying upperclassmen. but as time went on, you couldn’t shake the feeling of loneliness that started creeping in. you missed them. but you were far too stubborn to reach out. even though gojo had teased you before, saying you were just one call away if you missed them. you rolled your eyes at the memory, but a part of you held onto those words more than you wanted to.
then, almost as if the universe knew what you were thinking, your phone rang late one night. it was nearly midnight, and you were already in bed, ready to force yourself into another restless sleep. the sound of your phone buzzing startled you, and when you reached over to check the screen, your heart skipped a beat. gojo.
you couldn’t help the huge smile that spread across your face as you saw his name flash on the screen. it had been too long, and just seeing his name felt like a relief. you quickly answered, trying to sound calm, though excitement was bubbling up inside you.
“hey, guess who’s outside your school gate,” gojo’s voice came through, playful and teasing as ever.
“who?” you ask lazily, pretend not to care despite you were already sitting up, swinging your legs out of bed as you tried to process what he was saying. “me and suguru. we figured you missed us so much that we’d kidnap you for a midnight picnic,“ he said with a smirk in his voice, like it was the most normal thing in the world.
you blinked, caught off guard. “a picnic? right now? it’s almost midnight!” but despite your words, you were already getting up and slipping on your shoes, too excited to care about the time or the fact that you were only wearing a simple dress. “go on, don’t keep us waiting. it’s been two weeks, you know,” gojo teased again, and you could hear geto chuckling in the background.
you hung up without another word, not bothering with a jacket or anything else. the night air hit you as you hurried out of your room and down the halls, your excitement growing with every step. you hadn’t realized just how much you missed them until now. the two people who always managed to bring chaos and fun into your life were just outside, waiting for you.
as you got closer to the school gate, you could see them standing there. gojo was leaning casually against the gate, looking as relaxed as ever, his trademark grin plastered on his face. next to him, geto stood holding a picnic basket in one hand, his other hand casually tucked into his pants pocket. their presence alone made your heart feel lighter, but you couldn’t let them know that. not yet, at least.
you slowed your pace as you got closer, deciding to play it cool. after all, they didn’t need to know how much you missed them. pretending to be annoyed, you started grumbling to yourself. “really? a midnight picnic? you two know i was about to sleep, right?” you called out as you approached, crossing your arms as you slowed to a walk. you were trying to look as unimpressed as possible, even though your heart was racing with excitement.
gojo chuckled at your comment, a smug look in his eyes as he pushed himself off the gate, stepping closer to you. “don’t bother acting all grumpy, we know you’ve been missing us.“
you rolled your eyes, trying to hold back a smile, but the way gojo was smirking made it harder. “yeah, right," you muttered, crossing your arms and shifting your weight onto one foot. "i was actually enjoying my peace and quiet.”
geto, who was quieter and more observant than gojo, smirked. he could see the excitement in your eyes, even if you were trying to hide it. “we weren’t expecting you to come running out that quick.”
gojo snickered, leaning in closer to you. “you were in such a hurry. looks like you couldn’t even wait to change out of that little dress.” he gestured towards your dress, and a faint blush appeared on your cheeks as you self-consciously crossed your arms.
you could feel a faint blush rise to your cheeks at his comment, and instinctively, you crossed your arms tighter over your chest, glaring at gojo. “i wasn’t running,” you grumbled, shooting him a pointed look. “and i didn’t change because i was lazy, okay?”
geto chuckled softly beside you, noticing the blush on your face. his tone is much more soothing as he gives you a gentle smile. “come on now, you look great.“ he added, his tone much softer and comforting, carrying a warmth that contrasted with gojo’s relentless teasing.
you huffed, still trying to maintain your grumpy facade, but it was hard when they were both standing there, looking so smug and pleased with themselves. “whatever,” you muttered under your breath, rolling your eyes dramatically as gojo slung his arm over your shoulder.
“sure, sure,” gojo grinned, pulling you in closer to him as the three of you began walking towards the park. “lazy, huh? you just missed us that much.”
“in your dreams,” you shot back, though the small smile tugging at your lips betrayed your words. geto walked beside you, hand in his pockets, glancing at you with a knowing smile. “it’s okay to admit you missed us,” he said quietly, his voice soft and understanding.
you scoffed, shaking your head as you walked between them. “i’m not admitting anything.”
“we’ll take that as a yes,” gojo teased, giving your shoulder a light squeeze as you continued toward the park.
the path leading to the park was quieter than usual, and the only sound was your footsteps and the occasional rustling of leaves. you were sandwiched between the two boys, their presence filling the air with a familiar energy that you had missed dearly.
gojo chuckled, a mischievous tone in his voice. “you don’t have to admit it, princess.” he teased, but there was genuine fondness in the way he spoke. “we already know.” geto, who was the more observant of the two, gave a soft smile, his eyes flickering toward you. “we missed you too.”
you grumbled under your breath, rolling your eyes as gojo’s teasing voice broke the quiet of the night. “shut up, i didn’t miss you,” you mumbled, didn't even bother to look at them, though the warmth in your tone gave you away.
gojo chuckled, clearly enjoying getting under your skin as always. “oh, really?” he said, his arm still slung over your shoulder like it belong there. “then why’d you come running out here so fast? couldn’t sleep without us, huh?” geto snickered quietly, giving you a side-glance. “seems like you were in such a hurry that you didn’t even bother to throw on a jacket.”
you didn’t bother responding, just grumbling under your breath as gojo’s arm remained draped over your shoulder, like it was the most natural thing in the world. you could feel his teasing gaze on you, but you refused to give him the satisfaction of a reaction. instead, you silently fumed, staring ahead as the three of you walked deeper into the park.
geto’s quiet snicker didn’t help either. you shot him a side glance, but he only raised an eyebrow, amused at your lack of defense. “cute,” he teased lightly, as if the sight of you rushing out without one was more proof that you had missed them.
the path was darker as you walked further into the park, the cool night air brushing against your skin, but you didn’t care. despite your best efforts to act annoyed, there was a certain comfort in being with them again, in the familiar banter and warmth they brought, even if they insisted on teasing you the whole time.
the three of you reached a quiet spot, surrounded by trees, the sounds of the city distant now. you sighed, still keeping your grumbling to yourself, but deep down, there was no denying that you were glad to be here with them again.
as you reached the secluded spot, gojo finally let go of your shoulder, a smug smirk still on his face. “welp, here we are,” he announced, gesturing to the area around you. “our little picnic spot for the night.”
geto followed suit, setting down the picnic basket and starting to unpack the contents. gojo, ever the restless one, immediately flopped down onto the grass, arms behind his head as he looked up at the night sky and sighed dramatically. “and to think we had to drag this grumpy lump all the way out here just to have some fun.”
as gojo flopped onto the grass with his usual dramatic flair, you couldn’t help but roll your eyes, watching him bask in the moonlight as if he hadn’t been teasing you the entire time. “drag me out here?” you muttered, crossing your arms again. “i didn’t ask for this.”
geto, ever the thoughtful one, pulled out a soft blanket from the picnic basket and gave you a small smile. “come on, sit down,” he said gently, shaking out the blanket before laying it on the grass. “we don’t want you catching a cold, especially since you didn’t bring a jacket.”
he patted the spot in the middle, insisting you settle down between him and gojo. despite your grumbling, you found yourself giving in, mostly because the blanket looked warm and the night air had gotten a little colder.
you sat down, feeling geto tuck the edges of the blanket under you, making sure you were comfortable. “there,” he murmured, his voice soft as he sat down beside you. “much better.”
you glanced at geto, feeling the warmth of the blanket under you and the quiet care in his actions. despite your usual grumbling, you couldn’t help but soften a bit. he always had this way of making sure you were comfortable, of putting you first without making a big deal out of it. it was something you really appreciated about him, even if you didn’t always say it. “thanks, suguru,” you murmured, your voice quieter now, more genuine. you gave him a small smile, your usual tough exterior slipping just a little.
geto smiled back, his expression softer and more sincere than gojo’s usual smirk. “no problem,” he replied, settling down beside you.
gojo, lying on the grass, shifted his gaze from the night sky to the two of you. he couldn’t help but roll his eyes exaggeratedly. “awww, look at you two, being all cute and sappy,” he teased, propping himself up on his elbows. “do you want a moment alone, lovebirds?”
geto simply shot gojo a look, knowing his snarky comment was just his way of lightening the mood. he shifted closer to you, his arm brushing against yours as he settled into a comfortable position. “don’t mind him. he’s just jealous because you thanked me instead of him.”
you raised an eyebrow, watching as geto began unpacking the basket, pulling out snacks one by one, followed by an impressive assortment of alcohol bottles. your eyes widened a bit at the sight, curiosity piqued as you looked between him and the collection of drinks.
“what’s with all the alcohol?” you asked, raising your voice slightly, half-amused and half-surprised. “were you planning on getting me drunk tonight or something?”
geto chuckled at your question, a hint of mischief in his eyes. gojo snickered from his spot on the grass beside him, clearly enjoying the scene. “getting you drunk is just a happy bonus,” gojo said, his smirk widening as he reached over and grabbed one of the bottles, inspecting the label playfully. “but we figured a bit of liquid courage might help loosen that grumpy demeanor of yours.”
you narrowed your eyes at the two of them, suspicion creeping into your expression as you glanced between the bottles of alcohol and their smug faces. “really?” you said unamused, crossing your arms again as you gave them both a pointed look. “isn't the drinking age in japan like, twenty? am i even allowed to have one?”
gojo and geto both chuckled, knowing they were caught. they exchanged a glance, silently communicating between them, before breaking out into grins.
gojo spoke up first, his tone full of feigned innocence. “well... technically, you’re not supposed to drink at your age. but hey, we’re jujutsu sorcerers. we break rules all the time.” geto joined in, his smile just as cheeky. “and what’s the harm in one tiny rule-break, right? you won’t tell anyone, will you?”
geto noticed your silence and the suspicion lingering in your eyes as you glanced between them. while gojo continued to playfully nudge you, geto’s expression softened. he leaned a little closer, his voice quiet and gentle as he gave you a reassuring smile. “hey,” he murmured, catching your gaze with his calm eyes. “you’re safe with us. we’re not going to do anything to make you uncomfortable, okay? we’re just messing around.”
he reached out, his fingers brushing lightly against your arm, his touch warm and reassuring. “it’s okay if you don’t want to drink,” he added, his smile growing a little softer. “we’re here to relax, have a good time, and protect you, as always. no pressure.” his words eased some of the tension in your shoulders, and you found yourself relaxing under his calm gaze. despite the chaos gojo usually brought into your life, geto was always there to balance it out, to offer a sense of stability.
you nodded slightly, and geto’s smile widened, the warmth in his expression making it impossible not to feel safe around him. “besides,” he said, his tone lightening a bit, “if anyone tries anything, you’ve got the two strongest sorcerers looking out for you.”
you nodded, giving geto a small smile in return. “i know,” you said softly, feeling the warmth of his words sink in. with that reassurance, you grabbed a bag of chips from the snacks and tore it open, the familiar salty scent hitting your nose.
without another word, you plopped yourself down on the blanket, laying back with the open bag resting on your stomach. you crunched on a chip, the sound filling the quiet night air as you stared up at the sky, feeling the cool night breeze brush against your skin. “you know,” you mumbled between bites, “this isn’t too bad. but don't expect me to say i missed you guys.”
gojo immediately rolled onto his side, propping his head up with one hand as he gave you a knowing smirk. “oh, we know,” he teased, reaching over to steal a chip from the bag on your stomach. “but actions speak louder than words, princess.”
geto smirked, also rolling onto his side and resting his head on his hand. he always appreciated gojo’s playful nature, knowing full well it often masked his more serious side. “he’s right,” geto chimed in as gojo popped the stolen chip into his mouth. “your grumpy facade might say otherwise, but your actions betray you. you could’ve stayed in bed tonight, but you chose to come out here with us, despite being a little too dressed for a picnic.”
you rolled your eyes, pretending not to be affected by their teasing, but the corners of your lips twitched in amusement. “whatever,” you muttered, grabbing another chip and tossing it into your mouth, refusing to give them the satisfaction of a real response.
gojo chuckled at your stubbornness, clearly enjoying the banter. after a moment, his tone shifted to something more genuine, curiosity glimmering in his eyes. “but seriously, doll face,” he asked, propping himself up on one elbow to get a better look at you. “how have you been these past two weeks without us to annoy you?”
his question was straightforward, lacking the usual teasing edge, and it caught you off guard. you glanced at him, surprised by the sincerity in his voice. “uh, you know... the usual,” you replied, trying to play it cool as you focused on the stars above instead of his gaze. “just school, training, slacking off, annoyed shoko, steal her stash, you know... trying to keep myself entertained.”
gojo’s smirk widened at your answer, clearly amused at the thought of you causing chaos in the absence of him and geto. “ah, the classic routine,” he said, chuckling to himself. “sounds like you’ve been keeping our namesakes proud.”
geto, ever the more observant one, studied you for a moment, his gaze shifting from you to the stars above. “did you... miss us at all?” he asked, his voice softer than usual. “did it get lonely without us around?”
you paused for a moment, the weight of geto’s question sinking in. it was easy to brush off the feeling when you were trying to act tough, but the truth was, yes, you did miss them. “yeah,” you finally admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “it did get lonely without you guys around.”
the admission hung in the air, and you could feel the tension shift slightly. you looked down at the blanket, your fingers idly picking at a loose thread. “i mean, there’s nobody there to buy me anything or make sure i eat well, now i have to used my pocket money,” you added with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. “and, training alone sucks.”
gojo laughed heartily at your last comment, the sound filling the air. “ah, the struggle is real.” he said, shaking his head dramatically. “how will you ever survive without my wallet to sponsor your snacks?”
geto smiled, appreciating the honesty in your confession. “training alone would suck,” he agreed, rolling onto his back and gazing up at the stars. “can’t say i blame you. the training room would be a lot quieter without our noisy asses around.”
you chuckled at gojo’s playful lament, shaking your head. “hey, you’re the one who insists on paying every time! it’s not my fault i’m getting used to it now,” you shot back, a teasing smile on your lips. it felt good to banter back and forth like this again, like no time had passed at all.
you felt a warmth spread through you at their words. it was reassuring to know that your presence made a difference, that they enjoyed having you around just as much as you enjoyed having them around. “but yeah, i agree,” you replied, a hint of nostalgia creeping into your voice. “training alone really does suck. it’s so much more fun when you guys are there to push my buttons and make everything more chaotic.”
gojo let out another laughter-filled chuckle, clearly enjoying the playful banter. “what can i say? i like spoiling people,” he joked, giving a little shrug. “especially cute girls.” geto, ever the quieter of the two, smiled at your words. “it is more fun when you’re around,” he said, his gaze still fixed on the stars above. “even if we drive you nuts sometimes.”
gojo rolled onto his stomach, resting his head on his arms as he continued to smirk at you. “but hey, it’s all in good fun, right?” he said, his tone light and playful. “and you wouldn’t have us any other way.”
you nodded, a small smile still lingering on your lips. “sadly,” he said, playfully, your eyes shifting from the stars to him, you noticed the proximity between the two of you. his head was merely inches away from yours, his expression still wearing that playful smirk.
gojo’s smirk widened as you noticed how close he was to you, clearly enjoying your reaction. “oh come on, don't act so reluctant,” he teased, his voice slightly lower. “you know you love having us around.”
geto, not wanting to be left out of the playful banter, chimed in with a sly smile. “yeah, you're stuck with us,” he said, lifting his head to look at you. “so you might as well get used to it.”
gojo chuckled, pushing himself onto his arms to hover over you slightly. the proximity only heightened the tension between you, making the air around you feel just a little warmer. “so, doll face,” he said, his voice still laced with playfulness. “how about we make a deal.”
you hummed in response, raising an eyebrow as you tilted your head slightly to look up at gojo. the closeness between you made your heartbeat quicken, though you tried not to let it show. “what kind of deal?” you asked, curiosity mixing with amusement as you met his playful gaze.
gojo’s smirk widened, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. “it's a simple one,” he said, his voice lowering to a whisper. “i'll stop teasing you for the rest of the night if you give me one little thing in exchange.” geto, ever observant, picked up on the tension in the air and silently watched the interaction, a small smile playing on his lips.
“what do you want?”
gojo chuckled, clearly enjoying the game he was playing. he leaned in a little closer, his face mere inches away from yours. “well,” he said, his voice almost a purr. “there's something i've been wanting for a while now.”
he paused for a moment, his gaze flickering down to your lips before meeting your eyes again, his smirk more cocky than ever. “but i think it’s something you’re more than willing to give me.”
geto, now fully intrigued, watched the interaction between you and gojo with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. he knew his friend was up to his usual playful antics, and he couldn’t help but silently wonder what gojo was up to this time.
gojo’s smirk grew wider, clearly enjoying the effect he was having on you. “so, doll face,” he repeated, his voice a little lower this time. “do you think you can give me what i want?”
you raised an eyebrow at gojo, your curiosity piqued by his cryptic words. “well, you’re gonna have to tell me what you want first,” you replied, keeping your tone casual, though the closeness between you made it harder to ignore the warmth spreading across your skin.
gojo chuckled at your response, clearly enjoying the way you were keeping your cool despite the tension between you. “ah, but where’s the fun in that?” he teased, his eyes glimmering with mischief. “wouldn’t you rather i surprise you?”
geto, still watching quietly, couldn’t help but chuckle under his breath at gojo’s antics. he knew his friend had something up his sleeve, and he found the whole situation quite amusing. you hummed, pretending to think about it, a smirk playing on your lips. “maybe,” you replied, your tone teasing as you glanced between gojo and geto.
gojo’s smirk widened, clearly amused by your response. “oh, you're such a tease, doll face,” he said, his voice low and flirty. “but fine, i'll give you a hint.” he shifted to lean even closer, his face almost touching yours. “what i want is something you can give me without even having to get up,” he said, his eyes flickering down to your lips again.
geto, watching the interaction, couldn't help but chuckle quietly again. he knew exactly what gojo was hinting at, but he wasn't going to interrupt the moment. he leaned back, a small smile on his lips, enjoying the show in front of him. gojo’s smirk grew wider, his eyes locking onto yours as he continued to invade your personal space. “so, doll face,” he repeated, his voice a little lower this time. “can you guess what it is?”
you looked at gojo, unfazed by his proximity, your lips curling into a slight smirk. “i’m not really in the mood for guessing games,” you replied coolly, your tone daring. “i prefer action.”
gojo's smirk mirrored your own, enjoying the challenge in your words. “oh, you like things direct, do you?” he said, his voice dripping with flirtation. “i can work with that.” he shifted even closer to you, his body almost covering yours now. “well then, doll face,” he repeated, his eyes flickering back and forth between your eyes and lips. “how about i show you?”
geto, still observing the interaction, rolling his eyes, taking a sip of the beer in his hand. he knew gojo could be impulsive and unpredictable, but he also knew that you could hold your own against his friend’s relentless teasing. gojo’s smirk widened as he closed the remaining distance between the two of you, his face mere millimeters away from yours. “are you ready for that?” he asked, his voice a seductive whisper.
you glanced at gojo, then at geto, who was still watching with that knowing smile, clearly entertained by the whole situation. after a brief pause, you let out a soft sigh, feeling the weight of the moment before finally closing your eyes. “fine,” you muttered, though your heart raced just a little faster, curious about what gojo had planned. “but this better be worth it.”
gojo’s smirk turned into a full grin, clearly enjoying your response. “oh, doll face,” he murmured, his voice soft and seductive. “you have no idea.”
he took a moment to appreciate your closed eyes, the slight rise and fall of your chest, the way your lips were parted just slightly. “you look so damn cute when you’re pretending not to be curious,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. without another word, he closed the gap between your faces, his lips gently pressing against yours in a soft kiss. his hand came up to cup your cheek as he kissed you, his touch gentle yet possessive.
geto, watching from the side, couldn't help but smile at the sight of you and gojo together. he admired his friend’s boldness and your willingness to play along. he leaned back, resting his head on one hand as he continued to observe the scene unfolding in front of him.
gojo’s kiss was slow and lazy, as if he had all the time in the world to explore your lips. his tongue gently teased its way into your mouth, tasting you, as his hand on your cheek held you in place.
as gojo’s lips moved against yours, you couldn't help but notice the faint taste of alcohol lingering on his breath. the flavor was subtle but unmistakable, making you smirk slightly against his kiss. you pulled back just enough to catch your breath, your eyes fluttering open as you met his gaze. “seriously?” you muttered, raising an eyebrow. “you taste like a bar.”
your comment made gojo grin even wider, clearly unfazed by your observation. “can't help it, y/n,” he replied, his voice a low murmur. “we had a few drinks before you showed up, and i needed some liquid confidence to pull this off.”
his hand still lingered on your cheek, his thumb gently stroking your skin. “but don’t worry, doll face,” he continued, his smile sly. “i have no plans to get wasted tonight.” geto, laying silently to the side, couldn’t help but laugh at your little argument. “don't worry, he knows his limits,” he chimed in, amused by the banter. he leaned back in, his lips brushing against yours again, his touch becoming more insistent. “besides,” he added, his tone growing sultry. “you don’t seem to mind the taste all that much.”
you smirked at gojo’s boldness, but when he leaned in for another kiss, you placed your hands on his chest and gave him a lazily shove. “alright, that’s enough,” you said with a light chuckle. “get off, satoru.”
gojo let out a mock pout as you pushed him back, clearly enjoying the game you were playing. “aw, come on, doll face,” he protested, his tone light and playful. “i was just getting started.” he reluctantly pulled back, rolling onto his back next to you, keeping close enough to maintain the playful banter. “you’re a tough nut to crack, aren’t you?” he teased, his eyes roaming over you with a mixture of amusement and desire.
you sat up, brushing off your clothes and throwing a pointed look at gojo. “last i checked, friends don’t go around kissing each other,” you said with a teasing smirk, though there was an edge of seriousness in your voice.
gojo chuckled, clearly unbothered by your comment. “friends don’t, but we’re not just friends, doll face,” he replied, his tone still playful. “we’re so much more than that.” he rolled onto his side, propping his head up with one hand as he looked at you, his eyes still roaming over your figure. “besides,” he continued, his smirk growing wider. “who said we can’t have a bit of fun between friends?”
you raised an eyebrow, giving gojo a look that was half amused, half exasperated. “you two are such a bad influence on me,” you muttered, rolling your eyes as you leaned back on your hands with a can of open alcohol in your lap, trying to brush off his playful advances.
gojo let out a hearty laugh, clearly enjoying your response. “what can i say?” he replied, his tone unapologetic. “we enjoy pushing boundaries, and you make it so damn fun to do it.” geto, smiling from where he was sitting, couldn't help but chime in. “you know you love it, doll face,” he teased, his tone affectionate. “and you secretly like being a little bad on occasion.”
you let out a small huff, trying to keep up your facade of annoyance, but secretly enjoying the banter with gojo and geto. “yeah, yeah,” you muttered, taking a sip from the can of alcohol in your hands. “you both still suck.”
gojo and geto chuckled at your attempt to downplay your enjoyment. they knew how to read you too well. “you love sucking,” gojo quipped, his tone dripping with innuendo as he threw you a sly wink. geto, always the more subtle one, gave you a small smile. “you’re too adorable when you’re pretending to be annoyed, doll face,” he said, his tone gentle yet teasing. “we know you love the game as much as we do.”
you slapped gojo’s shoulder, shaking your head with a mix of annoyance and amusement. “stop being a pervert, satoru,” you said, giving him a pointed look, though the slight smile on your lips betrayed your seriousness. then, turning to geto, you raised an eyebrow, leaning forward slightly. “i’m not pretending,” you retorted, though your tone was lighter, a playful glint in your eyes. “you two just have a way of getting under my skin.”
gojo laughed heartily at your response, clearly unfazed by your attempt to push him back. “you love it when i’m a pervert,” he teased, his tone still playful, but there was something more beneath it.
geto leaned back, crossing his arms as he watched the interaction between the two of you. “and you enjoy every second we’re under your skin,” he added, his gaze fixated on you, a smile playing on his lips. “admit it, doll face. you love the chaos we bring.”
the three of you spent the late-night picnic talking and laughing, with you doing most of the drinking. as the night wore on, the cool air settled around you, and though you tried to ignore it, your body began to shiver slightly. geto was the first to notice, his gaze softening as he saw you trying to suppress the cold with a tipsy smile. without a word, he slipped off his jacket and gently draped it over your shoulders, the warmth immediately comforting against the chill.
“satoru, she’s freezing," he murmured quietly, his eyes flicking over to his friend. gojo, who had been teasing you moments earlier, looked over and saw the slight tremble in your frame. his smirk faded into a look of genuine concern as he scooted closer, wrapping an arm around you to pull you into his warmth. “should’ve told us sooner, doll face,” he said softly. “can’t have you freezing out here.”
“you really shouldn’t be wearing a dress in the middle of the night,” gojo muttered, his arm still around you as he looked down at your outfit. “at least grab a jacket next time. you’re lucky we’re here to keep you warm.”
geto chuckled softly, nodding in agreement. “he’s right, you know. we should’ve made you grab something warmer before heading out. but you were in such a rush to meet us, huh?” you rolled your eyes at their teasing, but a small smile tugged at your lips. “alright dad,” you joked, giggling uncontrollably, though you were grateful for their concern.
gojo and geto shared a smile at your sarcastic remark, amused by your drunk state. they notice you started getting more drunk as you continue to drown your body with alcohol, making you a bit more relaxed and carefree than usual and a lot more giggling and emotional.
gojo smirked, finding your giggling endearing. “we just want to make sure our doll face doesn't freeze her cute butt off,” he replied, his tone still light but with a hint of protectiveness. geto chuckled at your retort, his eyes filled with amusement and affection. “yeah, we don’t want our favorite girl catching a cold from being stubborn,” he added, his expression fond.
gojo tightened his arm around you, pulling you closer to his warm chest. “plus, we both know you look cute in our clothes,” he murmured, his voice slightly lower.
your drunken giggle bubbled out as you leaned further into gojo's chest, blinking slowly as your words slurred together. “mmm, you guys always think you’re so smart…” you blabbered, waving a hand dramatically. “i can dress myself... it’s just— just— sometimes your clothes are comfier… and smell nice…” you trailed off, another soft giggle escaping as you tugged at the sleeve of gojo’s shirt, clearly enjoying the warmth around you.
gojo chuckled warmly, clearly enjoying your disoriented state. “oh, we know you can dress yourself,” he replied, his tone playful yet affectionate. “but that doesn’t mean we can’t have the urge to baby you a little, doll face.”
geto, sitting next to you, was fighting back a smirk as he watched you, clearly amused but also incredibly fond. “besides, it’s not just the comfort and the smell,” he chimed in, his voice gentle but with a hint of teasing. “it’s also the fact that we like seeing you wearing our clothes, doll face.”
you giggled, lifting the can for another sip, but before it reached your lips, geto’s hand gently stopped yours. “alright, that’s enough, y/n,” he said, his tone firm yet caring as he smoothly took the can from you. “i think you’ve had more than enough fun for one night.”
you pouted, your eyes half-lidded and your cheeks flushed from the alcohol. “but i was jus’ getting started,” you slurred, a giggle bubbling up again as you leaned your head against gojo’s chest, your body swaying slightly. gojo chuckled, wrapping an arm more securely around you. “yeah, and if you keep going, we’ll be carrying you home, princess,” he teased, glancing at geto as they both shared an amused look.
geto smiled, setting the can aside before gently brushing a thumb over your cheek. “you’ve had a good time, and now it’s our turn to take care of you.” geto glanced at his watch, raising an eyebrow. “it’s almost three a.m.,” he muttered, looking over at gojo with a small sigh. “we better get her to dorm before she passes out.”
you frowned, trying to sit up but immediately swayed, your head falling back onto gojo’s shoulder. “i don’t wanna go,” you slurred, pouting as you tried to argue. “it’s... nice here. we should... stay longer.” gojo chuckled softly, his arm keeping you upright. “y/n, you can’t even keep your head straight without using me as a pillow,” he teased, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. “you’ve had your fun. let us take you back, okay?”
geto nodded, agreeing with gojo’s assessment. “he's right, y/n,” he said, his tone warm but firm. “you’re clearly beyond tipsy right now and trying to get you back with as much dignity intact as possible is going to be hard enough.”
he smiled gently at your protest, though he could tell it was mostly the alcohol talking. “we’ll have plenty of nights just like this,” he assured you, his hand still resting on your cheek. “but right now, you need to let us take care of you.”
neither gojo nor geto paid any mind to your protests, already moving to help you stand. gojo slipped an arm under your shoulders, steadying you as you wobbled a bit. “come on, doll face, let’s get you home,” he said with a chuckle, his tone still teasing but soft.
geto grabbed the jacket draped over your shoulders, his smile widening as you giggled at his request. “hands up,” he instructed, waiting for you to follow through.
with a light laugh, you complied, your arms lifting into the air. geto gently slid his jacket over your arms and shoulders, adjusting it properly to keep you warm. “there you go,” he murmured, brushing off the sleeves. “all set.”
gojo grinned at the sight of you wrapped up in geto’s jacket, shaking his head. “you look adorable,” he added, his voice full of affection. geto chuckled softly as he stuffed the last of the trash into the basket, watching gojo struggle to keep you from wandering off. “you’ve got your hands full, huh?” he teased, glancing at his friend.
gojo rolled his eyes playfully, tightening his grip around you. “you have no idea.” once geto finished cleaning, gojo looked down at you, raising an eyebrow. “you think you can walk, doll face?”
you nodded enthusiastically, pulling away from his hold and attempting to walk. but before you even took two steps, your foot caught on the uneven grass, sending you tumbling face-first into the ground. gojo and geto both burst out laughing, though they quickly moved to help you up. “well, that answered the question,” gojo said between chuckles, kneeling beside you. “maybe walking’s not your best option right now.”
gojo chuckled softly after helping you back up, shaking his head. “you’re something else, doll face,” he muttered with a grin. noticing the length of your dress, he quickly took off his blue button-down shirt that he’d been using as an outer layer, carefully wrapping it around your waist to cover you up.
“can’t have you showing off something you’re not supposed to,” he teased, though his tone held a protective edge. once the shirt was securely tied, he crouched down in front of you. “alright, hop on,” he said, motioning for you to get on his back.
you giggled as you wobbled slightly, wrapping your arms around his neck and letting him lift you with ease. gojo stood up, holding you securely on his back, while geto smirked, gathering the last of your things. “better safe than sorry,” geto remarked, watching as gojo adjusted his grip on you. “besides, she’s probably gonna fall asleep before we even make it home.”
gojo grinned, feeling your head already resting against his shoulder. “yeah, but at least she’ll be warm and covered up,” he said, starting to walk.
geto fell into step beside gojo as he carried you on his back, occasionally stealing glances at you. he couldn’t help but smile at the sight of you, wrapped up in gojo’s shirt and his own jacket, your head resting against his friend’s shoulder. you looked so cute and vulnerable that it only heightened his protective instincts.
he couldn’t help but chuckle as you snuggled into gojo’s back, clearly getting comfortable. “she’s already halfway asleep,” he commented, his tone fond. “bet she won’t even remember this in the morning.”
hearing geto’s words, you didn’t say anything, only letting out a soft hum as you rested your cheek more comfortably against gojo’s shoulder. the warmth from his body, along with geto’s jacket wrapped around you, made you feel cocooned in safety. even in your drunken haze, you could feel how much they cared for you—more than you could express at the moment.
the thought flickered through your mind, a drunken blur, that despite how annoying they could be, they always looked out for you. they didn’t try to get you drunk for anything malicious or shady. they just wanted you to have fun, to relax, to forget about everything for a while. and they were here, right now, making sure you were safe, taking care of you, even though you were a mess.
a small, sleepy smile tugged at your lips as you felt grateful for their presence, too tired to say anything but comforted by the fact that they always had your back. you smiled softly, your voice barely above a whisper as you murmured, “you two… always been so nice to me…” your words slurred slightly from the alcohol, but the sincerity behind them was clear, forcing yourself to voice your gratitude.
gojo’s grip tightened around you as he heard your sleepy words, touched by the way you were trying to express yourself despite your drunk state. he glanced back at geto, silently conveying his own agreement with a small nod.
geto chuckled softly, shaking his head as he heard your slurred words. “you’re just saying that because you’re drunk, doll face,” he teased, though there was a hint of affection in his voice.
gojo couldn’t help but smile, his chest swelling with a mixture of emotions. “yeah, no way you’d be that sweet when you’re sober,” gojo added, his tone playful yet also fond. “you’re always so feisty and stubborn, but here you are, being all soft and adorable.” he glanced back at geto, who was watching you with a smile of his own. “though, it’s not like we mind. we like taking care of you. even when you’re a damn mess.”
you giggled softly between hiccups, your voice coming out in a mix of amusement and vulnerability. “maybe… and maybe i’ll regret saying this when i’m sober…” you paused for a moment, as if gathering your thoughts, before continuing in a low, almost shy tone. “but… i feel grateful to have you both in my life.”
gojo and geto’s footsteps momentarily faltered upon hearing your unexpected praise, clearly caught off guard by your vulnerable admission. they exchanged a quick glance, both trying to hide the mixture of surprise and warmth that filled their hearts.
gojo chuckled softly, his tone tinged with a hint of disbelief. “well damn, doll face, you know just how to surprise us, huh?” he teased, keeping his voice light to mask the sudden rush of emotions. “who knew you could be so damn sweet when you’re drunk?”
geto let out a small scoff, still trying to process your words. “maybe we should get you drunk more often,” he joked, unable to resist the temptation to tease you. but behind his lighthearted words, he could feel a wave of emotions surging through him. he’d never heard you say anything quite like that, and the fact that you were expressing it now, in this vulnerable state, only made it feel all the more significant.
gojo’s grip on you tightened slightly as he continued walking, the small action betraying the emotions churning inside him. “and here we thought you were too stubborn to admit something like that,” he commented, his tone a mix of mock surprise and affection.
geto couldn’t help but chime in, his own words carrying a hint of gentle ribbing. “yeah, doll face. you’ve been holding out on us. why didn’t you mention how grateful you are for us before?”
you stirred slightly at their teasing, your voice soft but slurred as you responded, “don’t… don’t go anywhere, okay?” your words carried a hint of vulnerability that was unusual for you, even in your drunken state while your arms tightened around gojo’s neck. “promise me… just stay with me.”
gojo and geto’s teasing smiles faded upon hearing the raw vulnerability in your voice, replaced by a mix of concern and affection.
gojo’s hand tightened around you, his heart clenching at your plea. “we’re right here, y/n. we’re not going anywhere,” he assured you, his tone gentle yet firm. geto reached out, his hand running gently through your hair as if to offer reassurance. “we’ll always be here for you. you don’t have to ask us to stay,” he murmured, his voice filled with tenderness.
geto saw as you continued to rest your cheek on gojo’s shoulder, but then you started to pucker your lips, and they began trembling before you broke down completely. tears spilled from your eyes as you expressed how hard it was for you at school without them, tightening your arms around gojo’s neck in a desperate attempt for comfort.
“it’s just so hard without you two,” you sobbed, your voice muffled against gojo’s shirt. “i feel so alone sometimes, and everything just gets overwhelming. i miss you both so much when you’re not there and everyone always pissing me off.”
geto’s expression shifted from concern to a gentle mix of amusement and warmth as he watched the dramatic flip your demeanor had taken. he couldn't help but chuckle softly. “there it is,” he said, shaking his head with a fond smile. “the alcohol really knows how to bring out the feelings, doesn’t it?”
gojo’s shoulders sank slightly as he listened to your tearful confession. he’d never seen you so emotionally vulnerable, and it was a stark reminder of the weight you carried on your shoulders.
“sshhh… it’s okay, doll face,” he soothed, his voice a soft murmur as he adjusted his grip on you, holding you even closer. “we’re here now, and we’re not going anywhere.” geto chuckled softly, his hand gently tousling your hair. “yeah, the alcohol definitely does that. you’re a real emotional mess right now.”
you continued to blubber, tears streaming down your cheeks as you tried to catch your breath. “it’s just… it’s so hard!” you slurred, your words tumbling out in a jumbled mess. “people are sooo annoying, and i’m just tryna keep it together, but… but it feels like everything’s falling apart!” your voice cracked, and you tightened your grip around gojo's neck, burying your face against his shoulder, the warmth of his body a comfort amidst the whirlwind of emotions.
gojo couldn’t help but laugh softly at your state, the sound light and playful as he gently shook his head. “you’re such a crybaby right now,” he teased, a grin spreading across his face.
a small chuckle escaped from geto, who couldn't help but find your drunken state endearing. he knew you were usually tough and composed, so seeing you so emotional and vulnerable was a sight he couldn’t resist ribbing you for.
he smirked slightly, his hand still running gently through your hair. “yeah, doll face, you’re really letting it all out now, huh?” he teased, his tone a mix of amusement and affection.
gojo couldn’t help but join in, his own voice tinged with warmth and familiarity. he chuckled again, the sound gentler this time. he gently patted your thigh on his arm, his voice filled with a mix of affection and banter. “you’re acting like the world is ending, doll face. but you know we’re not going anywhere. you’re stuck with us.”
a soft groan escaped your lips as the whirlwind of emotions and alcohol started to catch up with you. your stomach churned uneasily, and you made a sound that sent a flicker of concern across both their faces. “uh-oh…” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper, but the warning was clear enough. “i think i’m about to throw up…”
gojo’s eyes widened in alarm as your words registered, his playful demeanor instantly replaced by genuine panic. “wait, what?!” he exclaimed, his grip on you tightening as if that could somehow prevent the impending disaster. “don’t you dare throw up on me! i just wrapped my shirt around you!”
geto, meanwhile, paled slightly as he heard your warning. “oh lord, not on my jacket,” he said, his voice tinged with a hint of panic. both of them knew from experience that dealing with a drunk person who was throwing up was never a fun time.
gojo glanced at geto, a mixture of worry and annoyance etched across his features. “great, just what we needed,” he muttered, his tone tinged with resignation. “now what?”
you felt the pressure building in your stomach, and instinctively, you pressed your lips into a tight line, your expression shifting from emotional to desperate in an instant. the gagging sounds escaped you involuntarily, and you shot a pleading look at gojo, silently begging him to understand the urgency of the situation.
gojo noticed the shift in your demeanor immediately. his eyes darted back to geto, who looked equally alarmed. “uh, satoru…” geto started, his voice low, “i think she really can’t hold it anymore.”
gojo’s heart raced as he processed your silent plea. “okay, okay,” he muttered, shifting you slightly so he could support you with one arm while he lowered you to the ground. “just hang on a second, we’re gonna get you—”
the moment your feet touched the grass, you bent forward, unable to hold back any longer. the sounds of retching filled the air as you lost the battle against your stomach, the contents of your stomach spilling onto the ground.
gojo’s eyes widened in horror as he jumped back instinctively. “no, no, no!” he exclaimed, quickly covering his nose with his shirt and stepping away. “not on my watch!”
geto, though slightly more composed, grimaced and held his jacket that still cling to your body so the vomit didn't get to the fabric, trying to shield it from the chaos unfolding. “please aim away from me!” he called out, half-amused and half-concerned, though he couldn’t help but chuckle at the ridiculousness of the situation.
as the wave of nausea passed, you felt a mix of embarrassment and relief, your eyes watering slightly from the effort. you straightened up slowly, panting as you tried to regain your composure, glancing up at your two friends. “sorry…” you mumbled, feeling the heat of embarrassment flood your cheeks.
gojo's shock slowly shifted to annoyance as the reality of the situation sank in. “ugh, that’s just great,” he muttered, his voice filled with a mixture of disgust and disbelief. he clutched his shirt tightly against his nose, as if that could shield him from the smell.
geto, on the other hand, struggled to contain his laughter, the sight of the situation too ridiculous to ignore. “oh man, that’s just priceless,” he chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “you really couldn’t hold it in, could you, doll face?”
you opened your mouth to respond, only to raise a finger as you realized another wave of nausea was crashing over you. “wait—just a minute,” you managed to say weakly, but before you could finish, you bent down again, grasping the electric pole beside you for support.
gojo and geto both groaned in disgust, instinctively recoiling slightly at the sight, but their instincts kicked in immediately. gojo tightened his grip on the shirt around your waist, while geto held his jacket close to your body, determined to keep it safe from the mess.
“oh, come on!” gojo exclaimed, a mix of exasperation and concern in his voice as he held your hair back with one hand, making sure it stayed out of your face. “this is not how i envisioned tonight going!”
geto couldn’t contain his laughter, even as he grimaced at the situation. “this is a wild ride, i’ll give you that,” he said, trying to keep the mood light despite the stench that lingered in the air. “just remember, we still love you, even when you’re a walking disaster.”
as you heaved again, the world around you faded for a moment, your focus narrowing to the relief of letting it all out. you felt gojo’s gentle grip on your hair and the warmth of geto’s jacket against your skin, a comforting reminder that they were there for you, even in your most vulnerable moments.
through your tears and nausea, you continued to heave, your body wracked with the effort. “don’t look at me!” you managed to cry out between gasps, your voice trembling as you felt utterly exposed and vulnerable. “i swear, i’m going to kill you both if you look!”
both gojo and geto couldn’t help but chuckle at your threat, knowing full well that it was an empty one given your current state.
“oh relax, doll face,” geto responded, a trace of amusement in his voice. “you’re not exactly radiating a sexy glow right now. we’re too busy holding onto you to look at you in that way.” gojo joined in, a sardonic smirk on his face. “yeah, we’re more concerned about avoiding your vomit shower than checking you out.”
as your body convulsed with the force of your heaves, gojo couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy mixed with the disgust. he leaned in a little closer, his tone a strange mixture of comfort and concern. “just let it all out, doll face. you’ll feel better once you get it all out of your system.”
geto chimed in again, his voice tinged with a hint of amusement. “yeah, go ahead and make a mess. we’re still holding our noses here, so keep doing your thing.”
as you continued to cry and throw up, the embarrassment washed over you in waves, but the reassurance of their presence somehow made it a little more bearable. you could feel their concern even without looking at them, and despite your irritation, a small part of you appreciated the way they stood by you in such an embarrassing moment.
after a few more moments, you finally began to feel the nausea subside, and you leaned against the pole, panting heavily. “i’m never drinking again, this is the last,” you vowed weakly, wiping your tears and taking a moment to catch your breath, feeling both drained and slightly relieved.
gojo and geto exchanged a quick glance, both of them raising an eyebrow at your declaration. “yeah, sure,” gojo drawled, a mix of skepticism and mockery in his voice. “and pigs will fly next. we’ve heard that one before, doll face.”
geto chuckled softly, his hand still holding onto the jacket to keep it safe from the mess. “you wouldn’t be the first one to swear off alcohol after a night like this. let’s see if you remember that promise in the morning.”
as you started to lower yourself to the ground, oblivious to the fact that you were about to sit right in your own mess, both gojo and geto sprang into action. “no, wait!” gojo shouted, his voice rising in panic as he lunged forward, grabbing your arm just in time. “don’t sit there!”
geto’s eyes widened in horror as he quickly pulled you back, his face contorting in disgust. “what the hell are you doing? are you trying to ruin my jacket too?” he exclaimed, his tone a mix of urgency and frustration. “you have zero sense of awareness, you know that?” gojo continued, shaking his head in disbelief. “you’re such an idiot, doll face! do you want to stain my shirt too?”
the two of them groaned in unison, exasperated yet amused by the absurdity of the situation. gojo pulled you back against him, ensuring you didn’t accidentally land anywhere near the spot where you’d just thrown up. “let’s just get you cleaned up before you make this even worse,” geto said, a hint of laughter in his voice despite the annoyance. “you really are a mess tonight.”
your lips pursed into a pout as you felt their grip tighten around you, a mix of embarrassment and irritation bubbling up inside. “you’re both so mean,” you complained, your voice still shaky from the tears and the alcohol. “i’m just trying to sit down!”
as they guided you toward the nearby convenience store on the other side of the road, your arms fell on your side, you shot them a sideways glance, your eyes narrowing slightly.
gojo couldn't help but roll his eyes at your complaint, his tone laced with a hint of mockery. “oh, stop whining, doll face. you're the one who decided to make a mess and then tried to sit in it. we're just trying to keep you from completely destroying our clothes and our sanity.”
geto chuckled, his arm wrapped around your waist as he helped you walk toward the convenience store. “yeah, we might be mean, but you’re certainly not making it easy on us. you’re like a walking disaster zone right now.”
gojo’s playful smirk faded for a moment as he took in your state—disheveled hair, tear-streaked cheeks, and the lingering remnants of your earlier mishap. a flicker of concern crossed his features as he realized just how vulnerable you looked.
“alright, hold on a second,” he said, shaking his head slightly to clear his thoughts. “i’ll buy her some water. you just… stay here and try not to let her fall over or anything.” he gave you a pointed look, trying to convey the seriousness of his words despite the playful undertone in his voice before looking at geto.
geto nodded, his grip on you tightening slightly to steady you. “yeah, no problem. just hurry up before she decides to do something else ridiculous.”
with that, gojo turned and headed towards the convenience store, leaving you and geto alone for a moment. geto sighed, his gaze fixed on you as he tried to figure out how to keep you stable and maintain a semblance of composure.
geto looked down at you, his heart aching a little at the sight. your head rested against his chest, the warmth of your body a stark contrast to the cool night air. your cheeks were flushed a bright red from the alcohol and tears, making you look even more vulnerable.
he couldn't help but chuckle softly, shaking his head slightly. “look at you... such a mess,” he murmured, pulling out his handkerchief from his pants pocket. the fabric was soft against your skin as he gently wiped your tear-streaked cheeks and the remnants of your earlier outburst from around your mouth.
“just breathe, okay?” he said softly, his voice steady and reassuring as he focused on cleaning your face. when he notices your sniffles, his expression softens further. “there, there, don’t cry, doll, you will be alright,” he reassured you, his thumb brushing lightly across your cheek as he finished wiping away the last traces of your tears.
geto felt a surge of protectiveness toward you; he wanted nothing more than to ensure you felt safe and cared for in that moment. “you’re going to be alright, princess. we’ve got you,” he added, his voice warm and soothing, hoping to ease your discomfort and bring you a bit of comfort amidst the chaos.
you looked up at geto through your lashes, a mixture of drunkenness and vulnerability making your eyes glossy and unfocused. the coolness of his handkerchief against your skin helped to anchor you in the present moment, his gentle touch and soothing words creating a small bubble of safety in the midst of the chaos.
a shaky breath escaped your lips, and you leaned into his touch, seeking comfort in his presence. your voice was small and wavering as you spoke. “sorry,” you whisper.
geto’s expression softened further as he heard the apology in your voice. he knew that deep down, you were likely feeling embarrassed and vulnerable in your current state. knowing you, he could only imagine the range of emotions running through your mind in this chaotic night.
he couldn’t help but chuckle quietly, his tone laced with affection as he shook his head slightly. “don’t worry about it,” he reassured you gently. “you’ve had quite a night, and your body’s just trying to cope with all the poison you poured into it.”
gojo emerged from the convenience store, a satisfied grin on his face as he held a cold water bottle in one hand and a mint candy in the other. he spotted you and geto, who was still attending to your emotional state, and made his way over with a sense of purpose.
“look what i got,” he announced, waving the water bottle playfully. “water to rehydrate and a mint to freshen up that mouth of yours. you definitely need it after that little incident.”
he bent slightly down to your level, the playful banter returning to his voice. after opening the cap, he lifted the bottle to your lips, tilting it gently so you could take a sip. “drink slowly. i don’t want you to choke on it,” he advised, his tone light yet caring.
you followed his instructions, sipping the water slowly and appreciatively. the coolness of the liquid brought a sense of relief, washing away the unpleasant aftertaste left by your earlier fiasco.
despite his initial banter, gojo’s voice carried a subtle hint of concern. he was clearly trying to balance the situation with his usual playfulness. “yeah, that’s it, doll face. drink up. you don’t want to be dehydrated on top of everything else.”
geto chuckled, watching as gojo took charge of taking care of you. his eyes followed the movement of the water bottle as it touched your lips, a fond smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. he knew that deep down, underneath the banter and the quips, gojo was genuinely concerned for your well-being. the fact that he was putting on a lighthearted front for your sake didn’t escape him.
once you had a good amount of water in you, he pulled the bottle away, holding it securely in one hand. with the other, he offered you the mint candy, grinning as he watched you process what he was doing. “here, try this. it’ll help with the aftertaste,” he said, his expression softening as he focused on you, ensuring you felt cared for amidst the chaos of the late night.
you let out a relieved sigh as the cool, minty flavor spread across your tongue, washing away the remnants of the previous unpleasantness. “thanks, satoru,” you murmured, your voice still slightly wobbly but grateful.
as you thanked him, gojo's expression softened even further. the sight of you, still vulnerable but slowly regaining some semblance of composure, tugged at his heart a little. he reached out, gently patting your head affectionately. his other hand stuffed the water bottle into his pocket, his usual casual attitude on display. “don’t mention it, doll face. just trying to salvage what’s left of your dignity after that shitshow.”
geto chuckled softly, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “spoken like a true friend,” he teased, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. “always looking out for others, even when they’re a hot mess.”
you groaned, burying your face against geto's chest in a mix of embarrassment and frustration. “this is so embarrassing,” you mumbled, your cheeks still flushed from both the alcohol and the earlier crying. leaning your head back against him, you let out a soft sigh, wishing you could just disappear for a moment.
geto chuckled again, his voice playful and teasing. “come on, it’s not that bad. you’ve had a rough night, but at least you’ve got us to help you through it.” he glanced down at you, a smirk dancing on his lips. “so, are you ready to head back to the dorm yet? or do you need more time to wallow in your embarrassment?”
you lifted your head slightly, meeting his gaze. the warmth in his eyes made you feel a bit better, and you couldn’t help but crack a small smile. “i guess i’m ready... but only if you promise to carry me, i don’t think i can walk,” you replied, trying to lighten the mood despite the lingering embarrassment and hide your lazily by pretending.
geto let out an exaggerated groan, shaking his head with a mix of amusement and mock annoyance. “you are so annoying, you know that?” he teased, his voice laced with playful frustration. “a real pain in the ass. but fine, i guess i can’t just leave you here to wallow in your own mess.”
but despite his annoyance, he crouched down in front of you, giving you a frown as he gestured for you to hop on. “alright, but be quick about it. i don’t have all night, and if you don’t hurry, i’m just going to make you walk your ass back to the dorm,” he said, his tone half-serious but filled with laughter.
you couldn’t help but laugh at his antics, the embarrassment fading a little as you realized how lucky you were to have such supportive friends. you could see the glimmer of amusement in his eyes as you scrambled to climb onto his back, finally letting out a breath of relief. “thanks, suguru. you’re the best,” you murmured, feeling a little less embarrassed now that he was there to support you.
geto's shoulders shook slightly with laughter as he felt you climb onto his back, the familiar weight of you bringing a sense of comfort. “yeah, yeah,” he replied, his voice filled with mock arrogance. “and don’t you forget it.”
he stood up slowly, lifting you with ease despite the alcohol still coursing through your system. he patted your legs lightly, ensuring that you were secure before he started walking down the sidewalk with gojo at his side. “just lean on me alright?” he said, tone gentle but firm, “and don’t make a mess of my clothes this time,” he added before slowly, lifting you with ease.
gojo chuckled, shaking his head in amusement as he glanced sideways at the two of you. “you’re such a little diva, doll face,” he teased affectionately, his tone light and playful. “making us do all the work while you just cling onto us and make a mess like a koala.”
you chuckled softly, the warmth of geto's presence making you feel a little more at ease. “that’s what friends are for, right? to kiss, spoil, and carry me on their backs,” you replied with a playful smirk, relishing the banter between the three of you.
geto raised an eyebrow, feigning disbelief. “kiss, huh? i don’t remember signing up for that,” he joked, his voice dripping with sarcasm while he kept walking steadily. “maybe i should start charging you for all this ‘friendship’.”
gojo laughed, shaking his head in mock disbelief. “yeah, right! you’d be broke in a week with how much she asks for,” he chimed in, glancing back at you with a teasing grin. “nut i guess it’s only fair since you’re the one putting in all the hard work tonight. plus, you’ve got us looking after you. just be careful with all that diva energy; it might get you into trouble.”
you grinned, feeling the lightness of the moment wrap around you like a warm blanket. “trouble? me? never!” you replied with an exaggerated gasp, leaning a little more against geto as he carried you. “i’m just a delicate flower that needs constant care!”
as you leaned against geto and spoke with a melodramatic tone, gojo just rolled his eyes, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “oh, of course. because you’re the epitome of innocence, doll face. a perfect angel, never causing any trouble at all,” he chuckled, his steps matching the steady rhythm of geto’s strides. “yeah, just keep telling yourself that, doll face. as if we haven’t seen you cause chaos for shits and giggles before.”
you pouted, your voice soft as you mumbled, “so mean...” before falling silent. the teasing had taken its toll, and the exhaustion from the night was finally catching up with you. without saying another word, you rested your cheek against geto’s shoulder, feeling the comforting rhythm of his steps.
gojo noticed the shift in your demeanor and chuckled a little. “looks like the bantering wore her out, huh?” he said, glancing over at geto with an amused smile.
geto, who was comfortably carrying you on his back, felt your weight against his shoulders. he shot a glance over his own shoulder at you, noticing how you had quieted down. a small, subtle smile tugged at his lips at the sight of you resting your cheek against him, the exhaustion written all over your face.
“i think she’s finally hit her limit,” he replied, his voice quieter now, concern seeping into his tone as he glanced ahead, ensuring the path was clear. gojo nodded in agreement. “yeah, no doubt about it. looks like she’s all tuckered out after all that mischief.” the both of them continued their journey in a comfortable silence, the only sound being the gentle rustle of the night wind and the soft echo of their footsteps on the pavement beneath them.
they finally reached your dorm room, gojo pulled the key from his pocket, the one he had copied with your permission for situations just like this. with a click, he unlocked the door and stepped inside, turning on the light with a quick flick of his fingers. the warm glow of the room filled the space, casting a soft, welcoming light.
geto, who had been carrying you on his back the entire way, walked deeper into the room, his steps careful as he approached your bed. he gently lowered you onto the mattress, making sure not to wake you as your body sank into the soft sheets. his hand lingered for a moment, brushing some hair away from your face as you slept, your breathing steady and peaceful.
gojo leaned against the wall beside your bed, watching the scene with a faint smile. “looks like she’s out cold. at least we won’t have to deal with any more drunk rambling,” he remarked quietly, though his tone was more affectionate than teasing now.
geto chuckled softly, his voice matching the quiet of the room, as he stepped back from the bed. “yeah, not so much as a peep,” he said, shaking his head slightly, his gaze still on your sleeping figure.
gojo walked over to the side of the bed, his eyes scanning your peaceful expression. the playful banter and teasing that always came so naturally to him were replaced by a softened expression—an indication of his genuine concern for you. “she’s lucky to have ‘friends’ like us, watching out for her.”
geto chuckled, his laughter soft as he knelt beside the bed, carefully slipping off your shoes and socks. “nah, lucky’s not the word,” he disagreed, glancing at gojo with a wry smile. “we're just hopeless, man. let’s face it—we're not just looking out for her. we’re wrapped around her finger, whether we admit it or not.” he glanced down at you, still sound asleep, before shaking his head with a hint of fondness. “it’s not about being friends anymore, is it? we’re both just idiots with a massive crush.”
gojo let out a quiet scoff, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. “speak for yourself, suguru,” he retorted, his voice filled with mock indignation. “i’m the epitome of cool, aloof detachment. i don't get wrapped around anyone’s finger.” despite his words, his gaze was fixed on your sleeping form, unable to deny the truth in geto’s statement. his expression was a mix of both annoyance and amusement.
geto rolled his eyes, a knowing smile on his face. “yeah, sure, satoru,” he responded sarcastically. “you keep telling yourself that. you’re about as detached as a puppy following its owner around.” he continued fussing over you, pulling a blanket over your body, making sure you were comfortable, and ensuring you were safe. all while simultaneously shooting gojo a knowing look, as if to say “you’re not fooling anyone.”
gojo grumbled a little, his expression a mix of annoyance and stubbornness. “psh, whatever. i just have a strong protective instinct,” he retorted, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. he watched geto, his eyes following his every move as he took care of you. he couldn’t help but feel a pang of annoyance at geto’s smugness, but he knew deep down that he was right.
“i just like to make sure she’s safe, that’s all,” he mumbled, the defensiveness in his voice hinting at his deeper feelings towards you. “and i’m just here because i don’t trust you to look after her by yourself. someone’s gotta keep you in line.”
despite his denial, gojo walked over to your little vanity, grabbing a cotton pad and some cleansing water he didn’t know the name of but recognized from seeing you use it often to clean your face and remove your makeup.
he sat by the edge of the bed, the cotton pad in hand, and glanced at geto. gojo huffed, clearly not liking the amused look on geto's face. “what? i’m just being practical here,” he shot back, his brows furrowing as he held the cotton pad and water bottle in his hands like a shield against geto's teasing.
“you know how she gets about her skin. if she wakes up with her makeup still on, she’s going to complain about it in the morning and bleed our ears off,” he added, a hint of seriousness creeping into his voice. “you know how she gets about that stuff—like, ‘oh my god, i’ll get a pimple!’”
geto chuckled softly, shaking his head at gojo’s words. “yeah, yeah, mister practical over here,” he teased, watching with amusement as gojo started to clean your makeup-smudged face. “just admit it, you care too much about her even when she’s too drunk to care. and you can’t stand the thought of her complaining about it in the morning.”
his eyes gleamed with a hint of mischief. “you’re wrapped around her finger just as much as i am, but you just can’t bring yourself to admit it, can you?” gojo shot geto a glare, his eyes narrowing slightly at the comment. “shut it, would you?” he grumbled, focusing his attention on the task at hand.
he gently dabbed the cotton pad, soaked in the cleansing water, against your face, meticulously removing every trace of makeup. his touch was surprisingly gentle considering the gruffness in his voice. his fingers careful against your skin, trying not to be too harsh.
“i just don’t want to hear any whining in the morning,” he muttered, his voice still defensive. “and i can’t stand the thought of her waking up looking like a raccoon.”
geto chuckled again at gojo’s words, his eyes never leaving his friend. “sure, that’s all it is. you’re just doing it for practical reasons,” he said, his voice thick with sarcasm. “if it was about avoiding whining, why not just let me deal with it? i can handle a few complaints in the morning. but nooo, you had to step in and become mr. cleanse-your-face-with-gentle-tender-care.”
gojo’s mouth opened, clearly ready to fire back a retort, but the moment you stirred, both he and geto froze. their eyes darted to you as you shifted slightly in your sleep before settling back down. the room was dead silent for a moment, gojo holding his breath, waiting to see if you’d wake.
when you didn’t, gojo shot a glare at geto, who was still kneeling by the bed with an amused smirk on his face. without hesitation, gojo kicked him—not too hard, but enough to make geto stumble slightly and fall backward onto the floor.
“shut up,” gojo hissed, his tone sharp but low enough not to disturb you.
geto, lying on the floor, looked up at him with a wide grin, chuckling softly as he rubbed his side where gojo had kicked him. “jeez, you really are on edge tonight,” he teased, his voice barely a whisper, though the amusement in his tone was undeniable.
gojo grumbled under his breath, rolling his eyes as he tried to keep his focus on you. “just be quiet,” he muttered, glaring at the man before continue to clean your face while geto continued to laugh quietly from his spot on the floor.
“you know, you’re just proving my point,” geto chuckled, pulling himself up from the floor and sitting back down. “you’re so concerned about keeping her happy even when she's unconscious. if it was just about avoiding bitching tomorrow, you’d just let me deal with it.”
his eyes watched as you slept, his expression slightly softer than usual. “but no, you’re going all out on the whole gentle-care routine. you can deny it all you want, but we both know the truth.” he moved off the floor, leaning in to fix stray hairs that had fallen out of place, tucking them behind your ear. geto leaned over to place a soft kiss on your forehead, his voice barely a whisper. “sweet dreams, doll face.”
gojo move slightly on the edge of the bed, a weary sigh escaping him. the long day was catching up to him, evident in the way he rubbed his face before slumping down. he glanced at geto, his tone filled with both exhaustion and exasperation. “i should kick your ass for that, man. but i’m too tired to do anything.”
geto chuckled, shaking his head as he watched gojo’s dramatic display. “yeah, yeah, satoru. you’re real tough when you’re not exhausted,” he teased, his voice quiet. “but alright, i’ll cut you some slack this time. just try not to be too grumpy in the morning. i can’t handle your mood swings on top of doll face’s hangover tantrum.”
he looked over at you, his expression softening a little. “it’s always something with her, isn’t it?” he said, a trace of fondness in his voice.
gojo raised an eyebrow, his exhaustion making his expression even more deadpanned than usual. “psh, don’t pretend like you’re exempt from the drama. i’ve seen you and her both get into more trouble than a pair of monkeys on a sugar high. and we both know who’s the one who always ends up being the responsible one, bailing your asses out.”
he leaned back on the headboard, propping his feet up on the bed beside you. “seriously, between your combined forces of chaos and her uncanny ability to draw in trouble, you two are bound to make my life a living hell one of these days.” despite his words, gojo pulls a blanket over your body before leaning down gives you a kiss on the forehead.
geto watched gojo with a soft smile, his teasing momentarily replaced by a more tender expression. “alright, i gotta give it to you; that was sweet. but i bet ten bucks she’s gonna wake up and start whining about her hangover and blame it on us.”

white day madness.
kenji (ken) sato x fem.reader
the moment you realized there was a promotion going on with kenji sato and the rest of his team on the giants, you immediately began making plans for your entry / gift for ken sato.
the day the announcement was made was during your lunch break at work. your eyes were barely paying attention to whatever was playing on t.v. as you simply ate your lunch in peace. yet the moment ken's stupidly handsome features came on to the screen, you felt your heart begin to beat faster as you practically sat at the edge of your seat, clinging to every word that came from kenji's parted lips.
he was dressed nicely in a pristine suit with the rest of his teammates dressed similarly while holding a single red rose in their hands. ken steps closer to the camera and brushes back his hair before speaking:
"are you someone who's missing a valentine's day honey? do you find yourself desperately wanting to confess your feelings and celebrate this day of love, but don't have anyone to dump your feelings on?
well have no fear, because the giants are here to help mitigate the problem for you! if you're seeing this ad right now, just know that we will be accepting all of your valentine's gifts from now until february 14! if any of you lucky ladies manage to capture our hearts with your amazing gifts, then we may pay you a visit when white day comes on march 14 and give you the time of your life with a date!
so go on! send in all your fan mail and love letters, along with any treats if you're feeling generous!"
that was the moment ken completes his ad, flashing an address on the screen as you quickly captured it on your phone. your appetite and half eaten lunch were already forgotten as your mind raced with ideas on what to make and give to ken sato, the man who had become your favorite baseball player since his drastic change.
when you first heard about him and his entrance in japan, admittedly, you were drawn to him because of his beauty. you had never seen such a lovely man before, catching yourself becoming mesmerized by his dark eyes and the way his hair flawlessly fell across his face. despite only seeing him in magazine covers and ads, you already developed a bit of a crush on him. so when his first ever press conference was announced, you quickly tuned in and watched it. yet the more he spoke, the less connected you felt with him.
as you continued to watch his press conference, you were quickly turned off by his egotistical nature. he was cocky and pompous, and often liked to talk down on his coach and teammates. he was so certain that only he alone could make history in japan as being the giant's sole ace-
needless to say, after ken sato's first ever press conference, you stopped following him and decided to focus on the giant's team as a whole. with each game that ken played in, the more he seemed to dig himself into a bigger hole. it was clear that after the gigantron incident, ken was never quite the same, with him messing up so badly that he was making his team face more losses than victories.
however, such a setback didn't last long. as you kept watching ken and his interactions with his team, you saw that he became much kinder now. it was less about him being the sole ace and more about guiding his teammates to victory.
and soon enough, the giants were able to win their first championship-
and you found yourself falling for admiring ken sato once more, especially after his interview with ami wakita. it was obvious from his demeanor that he was much gentler now, accepting the fact that he wouldn't have so many successes if it wasn't for his teammates. you were completely enamored with this kinder and more accepting version of ken that your admiration for him seemed to increase by a tenfold.
which was why you were so excited to actually be able to interact with him in some way with this promotion going on. despite how it would be a dream come true to win a date with ken on white day, you knew that the chances of him ever picking you were slim to none.
regardless of that fact, you still wanted to send him a gift for valentine's day and knew just what you wanted to make for him along with some chocolates.
"hm, that cute pink baby kaiju found roaming the streets that one night would be adorable to turn into a soft plush." you giggle to yourself, already packing up your lunch as you went back to work, smiling the rest of the day as you thought about everything that you needed to purchase in order to complete your gift for kenji sato.
{ ... }
ever since the coach agreed to let them do this silly (and fun) promotion for the team, everyone was excited to receive their own valentine's day gifts from the fans.
it all started when ken took his team out for dinner just to hang out and spend some time with them. in a drunken stupor, one of his teammates and friends admitted that he had never been given confession chocolates on valentine's day before.
upon hearing this, ken's eyes go wide. "fujitaka, no fucking way, dude! for real? isn't valentine's day kind of a big deal here?"
fujitaka ends up groaning in response, "dude, don't remind me! i was a loser back then, okay? i didn't exactly have girls lining up to get to me like you, sato."
"shut up." ken ends up playfully shoving at fujitaka's shoulders, but still smirking while letting out a laugh. and it was while ken was musing on how sad fujitaka's life was that he formulated this brilliant idea.
"wait, i got it! how about we do something about it?"
"huh? what did you have planned?" his other friend, inoue, asks with a tilt of his head.
"how about i talk to coach about hosting some kind of valentine's day sweepstakes for the whole team? it'll start in the middle of january all the way until february 14, then fujitaka will be filled to the brim with confession chocolates-"
"and the lucky lady who manages to capture our attention wins a date with us on white day!"
"EXACTLY!"
the rest of his teammates and friends were incredibly eager now as they immediately let coach shimura in on their plans. despite how he was hesitant at first, ken manages to sweet talk him, telling him how doing such a promotion would not only boost morale for his team, but for the fans as well.
in the end, coach shimura relents, and with the big boss's permission, ken was able to film a commercial with his team while giving the fans the address where they could send their valentine's day gifts.
and boy oh boy did the gifts start flooding each respective team's boxes, with it becoming so prominent that the mail had to be separated by large bins with each team member's name written on them.
now, it was finally the big day; february 14, where everyone could see the letters and chocolates the fans had given them. there was an excitement felt in the air as each member enters the gym to see each of their bins labeled with their names, filled with cute pastel pink stationary with boxes upon boxes of chocolates.
truth be told, ken did this promotion to help with his friends. in all actuality, he could care less if anyone gave him gifts for valentine's day. while his friends look at their pile in awe, ken took notice of how not a single bin had his name on it.
"strange, does no one like me after all?" ken pretended to be offended when he hears coach shimura clear his throat while gruffly calling out his name.
"that's because the sheer amount of gifts you received filled out more than one bin, sato."
ken turns around to face his coach, feeling his eyes go wide as he wheeled in a total of 3 large bins filled to the brim with similar stationary and piles upon piles of chocolate.
"holy shit, man, talk about unfair. here we are with just a single bin, while this jerk gets three!"
everyone else ends up surrounding ken with his 3 large bins filled with valentine's day themed goodies. as their hands search through the endless pile of chocolate and love letters, only one gift stood out to ken-
it was a plushie of emi nestled safely within a pale pink basket as she held in her hand a letter and a cellophane bag filled with heart shaped chocolates.
"you guys can have the rest, but this one is mine." ken reaches out toward the basket that contains the emi plush, holding it securely within his embrace as he steps off in the other room to get some much needed privacy.
when he was alone, he smiles with a fondness down at the cute emi plush. she was well made, with cute little button eyes while her body was lovingly stitched together with some pink thread. he was glad that ollie had a new friend to play with now as he removed the bag of chocolates and the letter from her tiny grasps.
with the plain envelope in his hand, he makes a mental note of the address before opening the letter. his eyes scan through the handwriting...
hey ken, or mr. sato in case you don't like to be referred by your first name! i guess you can call me a longtime fan of yours, but if i'm being honest, that's kind of not true at all. in fact, when you first moved here to japan, i thought you were an asshole. you were extremely cocky and had this air about you, like... i don't know. like you were BETTER THAN everyone else. and that just didn't sit right with me. for those first couple of months, i rolled my eyes each time you came on screen, yet at the same time, i couldn't look away from you, (curse you and your good looks, i guess). but what i'm trying to say is, i notice the change in you as of late. i see the kindness in your eyes- the passion that you feel each time you talk about baseball and your team- and i went back to truly admiring you again. i like this side of you, and i hope that you'll never change anytime soon. thanks for being you, and despite how i know you'll probably never read this letter, just know that i am proud of you. sincerely, your number one fan...
ken finds himself repeating the name that was signed at the bottom of the letter. now, he had received some fan mail prior to this whole valentine's day event, but none of the letters were as quite as honest as this young woman's letter addressed to him-
and he found it oddly refreshing to know that she had once disliked him before returning to him once he had changed thanks to his love for emi.
already knowing that she would be the winner of his white day date, ken places the gift back inside the basket with a hum, already looking forward to paying her back for such a wonderful gift.
{ ... }
it was march 14, and you weren't expecting anything special to happen as you woke up and got ready for the day. you had just finished your morning routine and was simply eating some toast with butter when you heard a knock at your apartment door.
curious as to who it was, you put down your slice of toast and went to open the door, only to feel your mouth remain open in a gape at the sight settled in front of you.
the tall man was dressed comfortably in a white shirt and dark jeans along with a pair of converses. in his hand was the most extravagant bouquet of red roses you had ever seen, but perhaps what was more jarring than that was the identity of this man-
for it was none other than ken sato himself that stood before you, a kind but lazy grin gracing his features as he said your name out loud.
"ah, y-yeah, that's me, ah... may i ask what you're doing here, mr. sato?"
he lets out a rich chuckle all while brushing back his hair, "miss, don't tell me you forgot about the valentine's day promotion? and please, do just call me ken from now on.”
it was at that moment that your mouth was felt going dry. "oh my god, no, no way! i-i didn't think i would even win! that's why, in my letter, i-"
you purse your lips and bite back your words, afraid that ken would remember.
"in your letter, you called me an asshole? yeah, i remember that. in fact, it was because you called me an asshole that i wanted to meet the woman that wrote me such an honest and true letter."
you were still in a daze, taking a hold of ken's bouquet as you held the flowers gingerly within your arms. "you're telling me i won a white day date with you?"
ken gives you a wink, "exactly, my lady. so why don't you free up your plans for the day and spend some time with me." his voice takes on a deeper tone with his eyes furrowed down at you. you feel the way his large hand gently brushes back your hair, the mere touch felt against your skin succeeding in making your pulse quicken in response.
"i want to get to know you better, if you'll let me."
and who were you to say no to such a sweet request?
{ ... }
after texting your coworkers about catching a fake stomach bug to get out of work for the day, you got out of your work clothes and changed into something more casual, but comfortable, while on your white day date with ken. he rides around the city with you settled in his mustang convertible, where you felt out of place as you sat with your hands stiffly resting against your lap.
"relax, sweetheart, there's no need to be so stiff around me." ken's gentle voice fills at your ears, but you couldn't help but feel incredibly anxious anyways. you tried to find the right words to say, but opted to remain honest instead.
"listen, i'm sorry if i came off as rude in my letter to you. i just-"
"hey, there's no offense taken, okay? i actually appreciate your honesty and would rather receive honesty than false praise." ken takes a moment to meet your gaze when he reaches a stoplight, "and besides, your amazing chocolates and cute em- i mean, cute kaiju plush more than makes up for it."
you found yourself visibly relaxing then, feeling quite happy that your letter didn't offend him too much. as you look out the window, you saw that ken was driving away from the bustling city. "so where are we going?"
cue ken letting out another rich chuckle, "that is a secret. just know that i'm taking you to a place that's very dear to me."
you give him a nod, letting out a hum as you continued to look out the window. a few minutes later, ken parks at a parking lot, opening the door for you while taking a hold of your hand as he leads you towards a cozy looking restaurant.
"tonkatsu tonki?" you look over at ken with a smile, catching him staring at you as he lets out a cough and looks away from you, "yeah, this place... my mom and i used to eat here all the time each time my dad had to work late."
you felt your heart clench at the mention of his mother. you recalled how ken stated that his mom was missing for quite some time now, but didn't want to ask him to further elaborate because you knew how it was such a sensitive topic. as if understanding your silence, he looks back at you and gives you a warm expression, holding the door open for you as you entered the restaurant first.
the scent of pork frying makes your mouth water as you take a seat next to him and order the famous tonkatsu set with rice. you end up having long conversations with him, with you answering questions about your life and how you grew up.
oddly enough, it seemed like ken was clinging to your every word, nodding here and there while asking you to elaborate on other parts of your life. it was strange, but you had never once spoken to a man that seemed to invested in you and your own story, which was enough to make your heart melt for him.
even when your meal arrived, the conversation never seemed to end. when asked about ken's own personal life, he gives you a beaming smile and admits to how he was able to reconnect with his dad, realizing that his old man had always been proud of him. soon, the conversation moved from your family life to your current goals and dreams.
the words that flowed from your mouth was never-ending. in fact, speaking to ken felt more like you were speaking to an old friend, and you never once had to hide how you felt or put a filter over your words.
your white day date with him ended up lasting until late in the night, with him taking you back to your apartment when it was nearing 11pm. as he walked you back to your apartment, your steps became considerably slower as you truly didn't want this date to end.
but alas, you could not avoid the inevitable, with you already standing in front of your apartment as you looked down at your shoes. you kick the tip of them back and forth on the carpeted floors, unable to look kenji in the eye when you tell him, "despite how i was so certain i would never win this date with you, i actually had such a good time and-"
ken ends up cutting you off the moment you felt him taking a hold of your chin before pressing his lips against yours in a chaste, but sweet, kiss. your eyes go wide, watching when ken pulls away from you with a prominent blush settled against his cheeks. he coughs before running a hand across his hair, "sorry, i know... kisses on the first date is weird, but i couldn't help myself. ever s-since i got your gift, all i could think about was meeting you. and now that i've finally seen you, interacted with you, you are by far the most gorgeous girl i have ever been with, and i-"
it was now your turn to cut off ken's own ramblings with a kiss as you simply leaned forward to perfectly slot your lips against his. letting out a groan of your name, ken eagerly kisses you back with his arms wrapped around your waist, keeping you from falling to your knees for him as you became putty in his hands.
when the need for air proved to be too much, you pull away from him and smile, basking in his half-lidded expression and the way his lips remained slightly open. you giggle at the sight of his captivated expression and take a hold of his hand, silently unlocking the door to your apartment as you invited ken inside your home, wanting nothing more than to spend the rest of your life night with him.
a.n. - this was a daydream i had swirling around in my head for some time now, i just hoped i was able to execute it well enough lmaoooo. this is unedited, but once it's posted i'll make the necessary corrections and changes. 🥹

"Where the hell am I?!" He shrieked, stumbling over his feet like a newborn deer. He was a panicking mess, spinning around in circles to see the unfamiliar sight of giant trees and bushy plants covering the land. The forest was heavily rich with greenery, vegetation and strange fruits. Fallen leaves covered the ground, creating a crunching sound after every step he took. "Calm down, Sweets." I calmly voiced amidst his loud screeches. My words cut through his mess of a mind making him freeze on his spot. Turning on his heel, he noticed me. He stumbled back immediately, possibly because I was covered in angry, red scratches and the bandages covering my arms alerted the male. "What the fudge?!!?! Who- who are you??" He shouted, alarmed by my…seemingly beaten-up figure. "I'm Diana. Welcome to the game." I smiled softly. Hoping my excitement can keep a hold of itself for the sake of keeping the man from getting scared. Dumbfounded, He could only let one word out, "Huh?". Oh boy.
🗯️ a cool one! many adventures and mc has freakishly good survival skills. this honestly cured my longing for that one fic that's no more that was also survival, adventure and game themed with slight crack. I think it was called 'Ready Player One'? (not that famous book and movie). but I think it was a translated ver of a chinese ff on another platform. Idk I still missed it very much, it was also very good. (If you know anything abt this, pls dm me!)

It's not like they're gonna murder me and hide my body in the walls or something." "Well, yeah, but…" "But WHAT?" you almost screamed in frustration. "They're all… hot." Silence for several moments. Y/N has a steady job and lives alone, that is, until she tags along with her friend to the shelter. Jimin, Hobi, and Yoongi have been waiting to get adopted, and their chance has finally arrived. With the small hybrid pack now living with Y/N, her life never has a dull moment. As Y/N gets used to her new family, she also begins learning more about old friends, making new ones, and getting a very full house.
🗯️ I'd say that I don't like the fact that yn's kinda treated as a doormat at some parts, but it's still good and quite well-written found family fic.
Getting Back Into The Swing of Things by @jellifysh
Hearing her voice now, Namjoon was reminded of the times when she was all he had. How she was his everything, supported him with everything she had, even if it meant giving him the shirt off her back. "Joon?" Y/n sniffled. "I know it sounds crazy, you don't even have to, its been years," "No," Namjoon was agreeing before he could even think, before he could even remember the other people who lived in the house just the next room over. "No, its okay, I mean, we promised each other right? We'd never turn our backs on each other?" "You can stay with us, it'll be fine I promise, I'll handle everything, don't worry at all, it'll be great! Like, old times, okay?" Namjoon was tripping over his words now, he just felt like if he didn't see her now, he would be too late for… something. What, he wasn't sure, but there was an urgent need to have her home safe.
🗯️ just re-read this one again literally yesterday, still as good as the first time. I love strangers to friends to lovers.

The question hangs between you, and you’re desperate to ask it. Usually, you don’t mind much who is on the other end of the appointment, as you’re so focused on a list of kinks, trying to map out a scene in your head, but this time, the ‘who’ is all you can focus on. Your boss looks at you. “I can’t believe I’m about to say this but… do you know BTS?” Your head snaps up in shock. “You’re fucking with me,” you gasp. “I’m dead serious,” your boss replies. “Jeon Jungkook just came of age. He wants to lose it right away.”

❶ Hidden Marks
What does it mean to be soulmates? What do I love about her? What is the reason? Does there need to be a rational reason to love someone? Maybe I love her amber eyes, or the way she tries to hide her smile whenever we get into playful arguments, or her love for just living. Maybe I just love her because she is simply just Han Sera.
🗯️ This one's so angsty yet so good, the writing's also so good at making the characters so human that I'd always end up sobbing at every re-read.
❷ Connecting Hearts
What defines a soulmate? Is it the mark that you were born with, only shared with a selected few? Or a bond which was created through pain and suffering? You'll have to read to find out.

I almost didn't believe it myself, but the more I thought about it, the crazier it sounded. So I came here to see you and to know if you can see me!" she blurted out. He could not believe the words that were coming out of her mouth. "Look, you don't need to lie to me. There is no need to make up some crazy excuse to meet someone." "I'm not lying! I really am invisible," she argued back. The man just threw his hands up to concede and turned to walk away from her again, walking right out of the building. The girl followed in hot pursuit. The first time Yunjin met you was in her first ever job interview, and poor girl forgot her whole speech that she was last night trying so hard to memorize. She was a little bit early for the interview so your secretary let her sit in your office, waiting for you on the black leather chair in front of your expensive looking desk. Your name was written on a name tag on the desk.
“Y/n L/n!” Yunjin tasted the name few times, it was a unique and memorable name, not many people having it.
She took a big gulp of the fancy welcome drink, even the free welcome fucking drink was something an average employee wouldn’t afford, but here you are giving them daily for free.It seemed like money was like rice to you.
Yunjin got out of her thoughts when hearing a door getting unlocked, she saw your curves from your silhouette, you stepped in the room before locking the door behind you.
You studied Yunjins features while she just sat there mouth in an o:shape and eyes wide. Your eyes traveled to the drink that was in front of her, on the small table in front of the leather chair and it was almost empty.
“You must have liked the welcome drink!” You said, flashing a sweet sincere smile towards her way before sitting down on your chair.
Yunjin was awestruck, no, flabbergasted. In a good way of course, you were the sexiest woman she has ever saw and in the most beautiful way.
Your aura alone could make anyone fall in love, the type of femme fatale but the sweet version, expensive old money, and the little bit older type of woman.
Your tight skirt complimenting your curves and ass, the first two buttons from your blouse unbuttoned, the valley of your boobs slightly showing while your hair was down your shoulders. And the most gorgeous genuine smile on your face. She had literal heart eyes staring at you, and you noticed.
You damn well know you are good looking, in fact you, yourself think that you are gorgeous and sexy. The vibe of your confidence was being sensed and that also made you even more attractive.
You immediately noticed that Yunjin was slightly out of it, pupils blown and eyes having sparkles while only humming at your question.
“I asked you a question miss Yunjin!” You said timidly, eyes looking at her and as soon as she processed what you said she looked embarrassed.
“Excuse me?” Her voice was low and she looked at you in hopes you could repeat the question.
“I don’t really like to repeat myself miss Yunjin.” You stood from your chair walked towards where she was sitting and sat on the other leather chair that was in front of her chair.
She gulped nervously. Her eyes couldn’t help but to travel to your chest, her mouth watered at the way your elbows were pushing your plushy tits together.
The only thought in her head was to suck on those like a baby, only if she had a dick she swore she would breed you till those tits were spilling milk.
She didn’t notice how you moved towards one of your drawers and took one of your favorite pink glitter straps, and sat again in front of her the strap in your hand.
Her eyes looked at it and you swore her jaw could have went out of place. Her eyes looking at you curiously but there was a hint of excitement. That made you excited to have her bounce this gummy material.
“Come here” you demanded and in her whole life she wasn’t this fast to follow orders, she was in front of you standing looking eyes full of hope and excitement. Arousal was gushing down her panties that you almost could smell it. While she fiddled with her hands.
“Undress me.” You said giving her a smug grin. She looked slightly hesitant of what you said. Rethinking did she heard you correctly but at the end her hand found your blouse buttons.
Buttoning them so fast that she almost ripped them. Her eyes were all over your chest. From the lacy bra straps to your nipples. You wore a sexy black lace bra, just like what she could have imagined someone like you wearing, but oh this was ten times better now that she’s seeing it in real life.
Her hand squeezed your boob without even asking and you couldn’t even deny her, at the end this felt heavenly. She went towards your back and unclasped the bra. The lacy material falling to the ground. Her wet muscle licked your sensitive bud, a shiver running down your spine while she let out a loud moan of satisfaction.
Her hand traveled down to your skirt, sliding it down revealing the lacy black panties that were matching with your bra. Your own wetness slightly damping the leather chair while she was dangerously close to your core, she licked a stripe your wetness, the intoxicating taste filling her taste buds.
“Fuck, you taste so good.” She mumbled, her head falling back. You wore the strap and signaled Yunjin to come. She tossed her clothes somewhere in your office before sinking down on the glittery material.
You held her hips firmly and your touch made her melt, she was all smily and giggly, jumping up and down on the pink strap. Curses falling out of her mouth while loud whimpers found their way from her vocal cords.
It was the hottest sight indeed, she was fucking herself so desperately. She took one of your boobs before trying to make it fit in her mouth, even after knowing that no way that would fit in her mouth. She sucked so hard, that you felt your nipples being sore and your chest was full of red-ish and purple-ish marks. She continued thrusting herself down your length.
The pad of your finger went towards her clit rubbing it roughly, helping her to cum faster. High pitched moans now louder while your other hand gripped her waist to ease her down on the strap.
She felt in cloud nine, anytime soon she would be splashing her juices down your core. Her eyes rolled back deeply every time your strap reached a sensitive toe curling point. Hitting every spot perfectly.
Her hand was grasping your hair harshly, her nails sinking down your scalp.
“I-I’m..c-cumming!” She screamed out before her juices ran down her thighs and the strap, soaking your stomach.
She pounded herself on the material slowly but deeply. Riding out her orgasm.
“I should hire you, you impressed me!” You combed her hair with your free hand while her head was on the crook of your neck.
“But before that, you should show me how good you can do.” You continued and she looked at you all smily while nodding her head fast. Getting off your lap and taking off the strap from you, wearing it herself.
She definitely would be your favorite worker!

take the blame | kit walker
・❥・ summary: after getting caught making out, kit takes the blame for you so you don't have to suffer punishment again ・❥・word count: 1k ・❥・warnings: nothing rly. ・❥・ authors note: this is a lil rushed but we out here anyway
Calloused fingertips brush against your ribcage, Kit’s hands roaming under your shirt as his lips softly moved against yours. His tongue swiped across your bottom lip begging for entrance to which you willingly obliged. It was like he couldn't get enough of you as he pulled your hips closer. You shuffled closer to the edge of the counter you were sitting on, legs wrapping around him. The only sound echoing through the room was your heavy breaths and lips smacking together.
When Kit had approached you in the kitchen the last thing on his mind had been this. All he’d wanted was to check on you, see if you were okay. Yesterday, you had been punished by Sister Jude for refusing to take your medication. It made you tired, like you couldn’t focus on anything and you’d had enough of feeling like you didn’t have control. As someone who had been on the receiving end of wrongful punishment, Kit knew the effect it had on your psyche. As if being stuck in a mental asylum didn’t do that in the first place. The whole place drained your life and soul the second you stepped foot through the front door. The dark, dreary walls and staff that had never smiled one day in their life were the ultimate soul suckers. It turned you into a whole different person. Kit knew he would never be the same as he was before he had come to Briarcliffe. There was a part of him that longed to know the you before being here but the you that he did know? He was infatuated with. He had been since the second he’d laid eyes on you.
Guilt had gnawed at him for weeks once those familiar feelings started flaring up inside him. The only person he had felt the fireworks and butterflies with before had been his wife Alma but she was gone. It had been hard to accept. At first, he didn’t even want to accept it but little by little he had. Any time he looked at you and his stomach did flips or he caught himself smiling when he was lost in thought about you, he felt like the worst person in the world. How could he feel this way about someone else when he'd had a wife just mere months ago? He told himself that Alma would want him to be happy. That was all she had ever wanted and as the days went by, it became easier for him to accept how he felt about you. The first time he’d kissed you had felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He missed Alma – of course he did but he knew he had to move on with his life. Being stuck in here felt like a prison and having someone by his side made it easier. Knowing that someone cared for him was enough to keep him getting out of bed everyday.
As your hands slid down to the waistband of Kit’s pants, the door to the kitchen opened and in stepped one of the security guards. An almost cry of ‘it isn’t what it looks like’ fell from your lips but you decided against it since it was exactly what it looked like. Your hand hovering over Kit’s most intimate part, your lips chasing his. There was no way to hide what the two of you had been doing. With swollen lips, Kit tried to protest but the security guard had dragged you both off by the collar to Sister Jude’s office.
As you stood there, hands by your side, you couldn’t help but glance at Kit whose eyes kept darting to you. The worry was etched on your face. You could still feel the remains of yesterday’s punishment, the memories flashing back just being stood in the very same office you had suffered in. Kit knew that and that was why he spoke before you could even stop him.
“Sister, it was all my fault. I was the one that initiated it,” Kit rushed out. Your mouth opened and closed to speak but he shook his head at you, the curls on his head shaking with the movement. “Blame me. Punish me. Ain’t nobody's fault but mine.”
Sister Jude contemplated it for a moment, her eyes darting between the two of you then as if she’d made her decision, she kicked you out of the office. You had protested, yelling for Kit but nobody cared. They never did. You were dragged to the common room, thrown into one of the hard chairs while Kit suffered his punishment. The punishment which should have been yours.
Time passed slowly while you waited. It felt like an eternity before Kit finally walked through the doors. His eyes scanned the room until they landed on you.
“Hey,” he smiled weakly. All you wanted to do was hold him. The pain was fresh in his eyes bringing tears to your own. Kit reached out, the pad of his thumb wiping the tears that threatened to fall. “Don’t cry. I’m okay.”
“No you’re not. Y-you shouldn’t have done that,” you frowned, hand gently holding Kit’s wrist to pull it from your face so neither of you ended back up in that forsaken torture office.
Kit shook his head. “There was no way I was lettin’ you suffer again, doll. I’d take hours of punishment if it meant that you weren’t hurting. I’d do anything for you. I… I love you.”
His words made your heart soar. The way he was looking at you with nothing but adoration – like you were the only person in the world was like nothing you’d ever felt before. Your words were soft as you spoke. “I love you, too, Kit Walker.”
The urge to jump into his arms and press your lips to kiss was strong enough to make you want to forget all about the consequences but no. It would have to wait for another stolen moment when nobody was looking.

when he goes down on me
Description: A struggling accounting student meets a successful lawyer. A relationship blossoms. With a few social media excerpts.
Pairing: thranduil/reader
Warnings: age-gap
There was a saying around the school - only the accountings get the accountings. While all the students from the other majors were out partying and dancing until their heels hurt from jumping, the accountings were stuck memorizing business terms and calculating debits and credits until their fingers hurt from routinely tapping their calculators. It was a figurative hell on earth.
And you have always been fond of burning.
It was seldom to see you attend a party, but miraculously your schedule cleared up and there weren't any quizzes or lectures in the vicinity. "Are you already missing the comforts of Harvard?" your father teases and you crack a smile. "God, don't remind me of studying." You groaned while slumping on the leather couch.
You've almost forgotten about the comforts of your childhood home after being surrounded by flashing white lights and empty cans of redbull, comfort wasn't exactly in your vocabulary. "I'm just saying; you ditched school to attend the neighborhood gathering and you are cooped up in this humid living room, avoiding everyone who wants to talk to you." He emphasizes, encouraging you to come out.
"Please, those people saw me grow up. I hardly think that I'm missing out." You reasoned, returning your attention back to your cellphone. "- all they ever talk about is me getting married, or at least having a boyfriend." You added while scrolling past a TikTok video about some random guy bashing Crumbl cookies.
The people in your parent's close circle were typical upper-echelon folks whose only means of communicating with some 20+ year old is asking them about marriage. Of course, your usual reply would be that you are not seeing anyone and they'd blink at you like fucking reptiles. They can't fathom the idea that a young, intelligent and relatively good-looking (not ugly) woman still didn't have a husband.
It did make you happy that they found you interesting enough to have a husband but it was infuriating that being married was the only thing they cared about you. They belonged to a different time, you tell yourself before your mind drifts back into TikTok.
"We have a new neighbor, he's a good fellow but he's a little too young for our crowd. I don't think that he's old enough to relate to Geert's Hoover Deluxe jokes. You should talk to him, you've always had magic with your words." He encourages, and a sigh escapes your mouth. "Dad, I'm not talking to one of your golf buddies." You groaned. Maybe it was a mistake coming here.
You still needed to study for the licensure test, that test was something that you could not fail. It was the first step to your CPA to Lawyer plot-line, if you are unable to handle the pressure of the licensure exam then maybe you aren't equipped with Law School. Then, maybe you should just drop out and become a stay-at-home daughter like your other friend, Magnolia.
"He's a lawyer. He handled that case that you were fixated on, the one with the ballerina and her father. Of course, he defended the ballerina." He did his best to remember your teenage ramblings about Oonagh, the ballerina, and her treacherous ex-husband, Gilbert. "What?" You pry your attention away from your mobile phone. Johnson v Johnson was the court case that began your fascination with law, and the guy who defended Oonagh Johnson was in the same house as you! Goddamn.
Thranduil wanted to let the ground consume him whole. He's spent a lot of time with businessmen and world-leaders alike but BBQ with his neighbors was a different type of embarrassment. He couldn't relate to them in matters of American life or farming, and he honestly doesn't know enough about the outsourcing industry to make a decent connection with these folks.
Of course, he could relate to their wives about perfume, but he doesn't want to be that cunt who talks to random people's wives. He seriously wanted to go home, but then he sees a figure in his periphery. A woman with amazing hair, walking towards him and suddenly everything was happening in slow motion.
She takes a step, her hair moves along with her, the wind is her willing assistant and her lips turned upwards. A smile. Is she looking at me? He tries to hide the fact that he was looking over his shoulder. Maybe she's looking at someone behind me? He thinks, but then again, there was no one standing beside him, save the rose bush.
"Hey," you greet him and suddenly he finds himself leaning back into his true self. The confident defense attorney who charms everyone that he speaks to. "Hey?" He raises an eyebrow, as if he's teasing you. "My dad told me that you were the one who defended Oonagh Johnson back in 2012." You opened your mouth to speak.
Always straightforward. Time is gold.
"Yes, it was a terrible thing what happened to her." He breaths. The case seemingly close to his heart just like this case was to you. "I know that it sounds a little creepy but that is my favorite case in the history of the world. I was thirteen years old-" you rambled and he releases a breath that he was unaware that he was holding.
Thirteen years old in 2012. I feel so old. He muses.
"- I didn't know what I wanted to be, and then I saw you and Oonagh on the news. I knew then that I wanted to be in the same spot as you, defending women, minorities, children. I knew then that I wanted to give what was due. Justice." You finished rambling, he notices that smile on your face.
It reminded him of himself back in his rookie days, that hopeless glimmer in your eyes mirroring back to all the years before him. Some dreams remain dreams, and others turn into goals. "Well, that case is close to my heart. I don't think I've ever told anyone about this before but my mother was a victim of domestic abuse, her father was not a good man, and when I defended Oonagh, I felt some sort of retribution..." He pauses. I shouldn't tell this to a stranger.
"It is a different kind of power that you feel when you do something right. Yes, it is every citizen's right to defend themselves in the court of law whether or not they are guilty or innocent, but I think that you'll realize this when you do become a lawyer. It feels like a breath of relief when you bring true justice to the innocents." He continues. A feeling that feels so far from me now.
"Yeah, I don't know how I'll deal with choosing cases when I'm an actual lawyer but my dad says that I don't have to think about that until after I actually pass the bar." You chuckled nervously. He pries his attention away from his current woes, "Oh, are you studying law right now?" He inquired, his body leaning closer to yours.
"Oh no, I'm studying Accounting right now. It's my pre-law course." You informed, and he slowly finds himself respecting you. "I wish that I did something cool like that, my pre-law was Polsci and I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy." He chuckles, his conscience floating away and instead is focused on you.
The shining starlight that has come to guide him away from this existential crisis. "I've heard a lot of things about that major. Some people say that it doesn't really equip you in law school, but the Polsci majors that I know are such cool people." You smiled, only beginning to realize that the man standing in front of you was h o t.
Hot with a capital 'H'.
He had a cleanly shaven face, and beautiful golden blonde hair that seriously rivaled those of the Targaryens that you watch on HBO. (You are still stuck in Season 5 of GOT due to being on studying jail.)
"That major did not help me in law school. It gave me an overview but law school is ultimately a different demon." He warns, staring deep into your eyes. She looks good, he thinks. "Well, hopefully if I pass next year I'll be able to apply for law school. Are there any universities that you recommend?" You ask and he ponders.
"I finished my degree in Harvard-"
"Fuck," you interrupted him. "No, I'm sorry." You gasp.
"I study in Harvard right now. It's just I found it - I don't know." You mentally cringe, accepting the fact that you've let go of your chance with dating this hot lawyer man. "It's alright, I was gonna say to not study in Harvard. Stanford is much better. I've found really formidable opponents who finished their degree in Stanford." He smiles, finding your quirks to be adorable.
It is not everyday that a woman walks into his life and talks about his best case to date, and then laugh about stupid stupid things. "The food isn't really that great to be honest," you mumbled. "Some things never change." He mused. "Oh wait, I'm sorry. I haven't introduced myself. I'm Y/N Saint." You offer your hand to shake and he takes it.
"Thranduil Greenwood." He smiles while shaking your hand. He lets go of it, and then remembers. "Daniel's your father?" He asks. "Yeah, but he's not really my biological father, he adopted me when he married my mom." You provided a bit of a background information.
He tries to make the conversation longer, in the hopes that you wouldn't walk away from him or that you'd leave at least an email or a number or a facebook profile so that he'll have some way of communicating with you. "He's a nice guy." He compliments.
"He's more than nice," you smile.
Suddenly, your phone rings. "Oh damn, sorry. I really have to catch a plane, but it was so nice talking to you attorney. Um, do you have a phone or anything. I'd love to keep in touch." You turn the alarm off, and focus your attention back to him. He unlocks his iphone and hands it to you. You glance at his wallpaper. "It's my son." he answers, not bothering to hide that fact about him.
"You have a wife?" You tired to keep your tone nonchalant, but it comes out jealous and icky. "No, his mother left when he was born. Funny enough, I couldn't blame her anyways. I was twenty, she was nineteen and she had an art degree." He jests and you try your best to find an instagram app on his phone.
How old is this man anyways? All he had on his phone was whatsapp, imessage, a few apps that were there when you buy the phone, and then two different email apps (email for apple and gmail.) Which made you want to laugh at him, as it was adorable, but you decide to open his notes app. "I don't have any social media except for instagram so I'll just write my username down and hopefully you do have an Instagram at home." Your voice turns nervous at the end.
There was a 50/50 chance that Thranduil had an instagram. "Goodbye, it was nice talking to you." You greet, handing him his phone, but before he could reply - you sprint away.

"Thank you for helping me set up an Instagram account, Tauriel." Thranduil thanks his intern before taking a sip of his coffee. "I don't think that you should post anything for legal reasons, but I already fixed your profile and privated your account. I also told everyone in the firm to follow you, Legolas says he'll only follow you after you get 10 followers so everyone won't think that he's following a bot." Tauriel continues, and Thranduil has no idea what those words mean.
"It is about time that I enter the realm social media. I mean, it is one thing to not have social media but Atty. Elros has an instagram and he's literally fifty something." Thranduil jokes. "I did tell you to sign up, which reminds me, you should follow Atty. Alfred." Tauriel presses the 'follow' button on his screen.
"As much as I hate Atty. Elros he has an amazing feed." He jokes again, and Tauriel nods agreeing with him. "He's actually an excellent photographer, I've heard a story about him actually. I heard that he wanted to be a photographer at first but then had a change of heart because his twin brother became a neurosurgeon..." Tauriel informs.
greenwoodlaw_ has requested to follow you
yournamesaint wants to call you.
"Hello," he greets seeing your face on the other end of the line. "Hey, I'm surprised to see you with an instagram. I mean I'm not stalking you or anything, it just says 'new' on your profile." You found yourself explaining to him, and he responds with a laugh. "Tauriel, my staff, helped me make this account. I figured that it was about time that I make one, I mean even the old lawyers in the neighboring firm have their own social medias." His big eyebrows merged together.
"I was about to give you my phone number yesterday but I remembered that I didn't have a line. I wouldn't be able to call you or reply to the text messages." You reply uneasily. Your father has pestered you about getting a line since the moment you bought your phone, but you shook him off saying that no one texts or calls people in their mobile number anymore. You were wrong.
"I didn't really bother paying for that since it's a distraction." You settle your phone on the desk in front of you, not bothering to adjust it to an angle that'll make you look better. There is no use fighting against what you really look like. "I understand. Shouldn't you be studying?" He asks and you shake your head.
"I'm free, miraculously, but I'll start on some reviewers in an hour. Better safe than sorry." You inform.
"You must always be on your feet." He says.
"You sound a lot like my professor." You teased. "- but thank you for the advise, I shall use it well." You add.
Tauriel walks inside of his office, carrying a stack of files. "Oh, it looks like you've got a lot of work to do." You smile. Tauriel raises an eyebrow but he gives her a glance telling her not to ask any questions. "I guess this is goodbye. I'll call you again tomorrow."
"Goodbye,"
"Bye."

You Call That Love? (Damon Salvatore x Male Reader)
Because I don't see many Damon Salvatore x male reader posts, I decided to write one myself. You can't convince me that Damon hasn't had male lovers before.
Summary: Elena tries to get with Damon but soon realizes he has moved on—with m/n of all people.
Their lips moved in a frenzied dance, hands tearing at each other's clothes in a passionate embrace when the gasp of a familiar, bothersome human interrupted their intense makeout session. Looking up at Elena with an annoyed expression, m/n rolled his eyes before sitting upright, allowing Damon to hastily put his shirt back on.
"Why?" she whispered pathetically, her brown eyes tearing up while looking at Damon as if he had just killed her parents. "I thought we had something—"
Unable to contain his laughter, m/n released a hearty chuckle. "Why, Miss Elena?" he mocked "I distinctly remember you bragging about your relationship with Stefan not even a week ago. What happened? Trouble in paradise?" Feeling Damon's arms wrap around his middle, m/n cuddled against Damon's front, allowing the vampire to take what he needed.
M/n wasn't naive to the fact that Damon still harbored some feelings for Elena, although the nature of said feelings had changed. So, just for him, m/n would step back and allow things to run their course.
"You don't know anything," Elena hissed, her eyes narrowing at m/n with utter hatred. Ever since he stepped foot into Mystic Falls, her life changed for the worse: Bonnie and Caroline finally stood their ground and told Elena they didn't want to be involved in her problems.
Recently, Stefan and she broke up; Stefan, noticing the eerie similarities between Katherine and Elena as of late, decided to break the cycle and began dating Caroline.
But, worst of all, when Elena finally (or rather knew she had no other option) admitted she loved Damon, the vampire disregarded her confession, telling her he'd moved on—with m/n of all people.
"Elena," Damon's stern tone caused the girl to break eye contact and look expectantly at the vampire. A part of her still hoped Damon would realize the mistake he was making, but as the vampire continued talking, hope vanished.
"I don't love you. M/n made me realize that what we had was toxic and borderline obsessive. Being with Stefan, then me, Matt—that isn't love."
"Don't try to tell me how I feel," Elena exclaimed. "I'm sorry it took me such a long time to realize my feelings, but you can't tell me what I feel for you isn't valid."
Feeling bold, Elena stepped forward, about to touch Damon and reel him back into her web of manipulation, when m/n had enough and pinned the human to the wall, his hand on her throat. Uncaring if she could breathe, m/n felt this was sufficient punishment for Elena, thinking she could touch what was his.
Elena gasped for breath as m/n's grip tightened, her eyes widening with fear. "You thought you could have it all, didn't you?" he sneered, his cold e/c eyes piercing into hers.
"Stefan, Damon, and whoever else caught your fleeting attention. You don't care about anyone other than yourself. Where was this love when Damon was begging you to choose him? Your exact words were nobody could love a monster like you. And now you want to rewrite history? He's with me now, and I suggest you come to terms with that."
With a final, disdainful glance, m/n released his grip on Elena's throat. "You're twisting everything!" she exclaimed after regaining composure, her voice strained. "You don't know the whole story. What Damon and I have is real."
As Elena struggled to defend herself, Damon's expression shifted with each word she uttered. At first, her claim to have loved him drew a flicker of skepticism in his eyes. However, as she delved into the reasons for denying his love, a mix of hurt and anger played across his features. "I loved him, but he was too caught up in his own darkness to see it."
Damon's jaw tightened, and his eyes flashed with a wounded expression. "People change, m/n. Damon could have changed for me." The pair of vampires now stared in disbelief. How had Elena managed to turn herself into a victim in this situation?
"Change? Is that what you call it?" Damon's retort cut through the air like a cold gust of wind, his voice edged with bitterness. His eyes, once clouded with hurt, now blazed with a fiery resolve. "You left, Elena. You chose someone else. You choose Stefan."
M/n, standing beside Damon, could sense the raw emotion emanating from the vampire, a poignant mixture of anger and hurt.
"M/n accepted me for who I am. He didn't demand that I change, mold myself into someone more palatable to fit your version of love. You can't rewrite history just because you don't like the ending."
Frustration etched across Elena's face. "Fine, have it your way," she spat, casting one last resentful glance at Damon and m/n before storming out of the house, the door slamming shut behind her. Even as the sound of Elena's car drew farther away from the boarding house, Damon's eyes lingered on the closed door.
M/n turned to Damon, his gaze softening as he assessed his lover beside him. "You okay?" he asked, his voice gentle yet filled with genuine concern.
"Yeah," Damon replied, "Thanks for handling that."
M/n nodded, his expression conveying understanding. "You know I've got your back, always." Damon's eyes softened, a subtle warmth replacing the tension that had gripped him moments before. He didn't need grand gestures or elaborate confessions; the simplicity of m/n's words told him everything he needed to know.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

It’s like you are completely cut off from the outside world; your books, notes, flashcards, and your laptop surround you on your desk as you find yourself knee deep in this semester’s syllabus, your mind already working on an overdrive for midterms – even when you still have a whole week before the dreaded exams approach.
But your boyfriend? He’s totally opposite.
Exams don’t even begin mattering to him until one night before the actual exam day when he practically rawdogs some borrowed notes, not knowing what half of the content means but he’s cramming and gulping down information as if his life depends on it. And then guess what? He always gets a minimum of 50% of the total marks on each of his exams, making him the cockiest bastard to ever exist.
“See babe? This shit’s easy as fuck. Passed with all flying colors ’n shit,” He grins, practically shoving his grade sheet in your face. You always have to swallow down the urge to smack that irritatingly perfect face of his, blowing off that smirk right off his face.
“Shut it, your business shit’s easy to pass alright?” You grumble under your breath. You very well know business isn’t easy, but the fact that Rafe is passing it with pretty decent scores by studying only one night before makes you think differently.
Your current focus on your notes is broken when you hear a knock at your dorm door. Begrudgingly, you yell out a ‘come in’, not moving your attention from your notes for even a split second. You hear the door open and close from the front of the room, and when you feel a figure approach you from the back and wrap their arms around you, you know who it is.
“Hey babe,” Rafe mumbles in your ear, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek as he rests his chin on your shoulder, looking at all your books and notes surrounding you.
“Hey,” You mumble back, your focus not withering at all.
“Missed you tons today,” He mumbles, gently caressing your neck with his fingertips before nuzzling against the soft skin, his lips beginning to press slow, languid kisses.
“Yeah same,” You mutter, dragging your laptop closer as you open the file you want to access, your entire body, mind and soul completely unphased by Rafe.
Rafe sighs as he presses one last kiss to the side of your neck before lifting his head up. “Already studying for your midterms?” He says, reluctantly stepping back from you to flop down on your bed, his gaze never leaving you. He already knows the answer to his question: you wouldn’t be the person he’s so deeply infatuated with if you aren’t giving a head start to your head start for your exam preparations.
“Uh huh,” Comes out your quiet voice as he watches you, your brows furrowed as you scroll through something on your laptop. He trains his gaze over to the small digital clock sitting on the corner of your desk, flashing the numbers 11:17 in a bright white.
“Babe it’s getting late, come sleep with me,” He says, beginning to scoot over to make space for you, but your next words make him stop.
“It’s okay Rafe you sleep, I’ll be there in a few,”
Few. It can mean anything in your dictionary. It can mean 40 seconds, or 28 minutes, or 3 hours, or the entire night.
Rafe lets out a quiet sigh as he thinks of coaxing you to get in bed with him again, but he knows it’s not going to work.
“You better not ‘accidentally’ pull an all-nighter again you hear me?” He says, a tinge of sternness in his voice as he fluffs the pillows once before dropping his head on them.
You don’t say anything, just make a quick move to turn off the main light of the room and turn on your desk lamp instead. The room plunges into darkness except for the soft glow of your desk light, illuminating your desk and you sitting in front of it.
Rafe turns over on his side to look at you, his hand under his head. He watches you study quietly, your facial features glowing under the desk light and the light from your laptop screen. He tried to keep his eyes open for as long as he can, but the occasional typing of the keyboard, pen scratching against the paper as you write, and your barely audible whispering begin to lull him into a sleep which he finds harder and harder to pull himself from.
↶ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷ ˊˎ-
Rafe shifts in his position, letting out a soft grunt under his breath as he turns over on his side after being on his back. He squints his eyes as he feels a certain light hit his heavy, closed eyelids. He forces them to open, his vision blurry for the first few seconds. As his vision sets and his mind begins to gain consciousness, he realizes your desk light is still on.
You are crouched over in the chair, your head resting on the table in your arms. Your notes are scattered around and your laptop is open but now under sleep mode. Rafe darts his attention over to the clock, and the numbers 2:32 flash back at him.
“Jesus,” He mutters under his breath, helping his sleep-ridden body up from the bed. He walks over to your hunched position and gently shakes your shoulder.
“Babe, babe come sleep in the bed,” His raspy voice comes out. For a moment, you don’t move, but after a few gentle shakes you do, slowly lifting your head up from your arms.
“What…” You mumble sleepily, your eyes barely open. You are just as sleepy as Rafe, if not more.
Rafe shuts your laptop close and switches off the desk light, the only light now coming through the small window of your dorm. His hand finds your arm and he gently pulls you up from the chair.
“Come sleep in bed,” He repeats, his voice still groggy as he helps you up from the desk chair. Your extremely tired body doesn’t put up a fight even once and you let him lead you over to the bed.
Rafe helps you lie down and he lays next to you, his arms wrapping around your frame in an instant. You succumb to his embrace the very next second and snuggle closer to him, resting your head on his chest.
Both of you fall asleep after your shared moment of momentary awakeness, your sleepy body tucked snugly against his for the rest of the night.

Sorry this is long hope you can make it <3
My Protector
Harry Potter x Reader
CW: Angst (Kinda) , Mental Problems, Mentions of blood and wounds, Mentions of Scars, Female Reader
How did you get here...As you lay on the cold hard ground of the Malfoy Manor your whole life flashes in front of your eyes. You had always been the quiet kid. Never causing drama. Never getting involved in drama. Never acting out. Hardly ever going to parties unless Harry had went with you.
Speaking of. Harry had been frantically searching for you, the moment he realized you were missing it felt like hi whole world stopped.
You didn't know that though. Not yet at least.
The lightheaded feeling began a few minutes ago. Whether it was from blood loss or dehydration was also unknown. You did know that it had been three days since you've had water and you also knew that gash in your forehead had been left unattended for quite a few hours so whichever was causing the lightheaded feeling was anyone's guess.
You heard a gasp from Luna Lovegood who was also being held captive but instead of reacting you ignored it choosing to focus on not passing out and praying to Godricks that someone helped and got you out of here...
The feeling of someones hands on your face brought you out of your haze and suddenly a fuzzy yet familiar voice was cutting through the silence
"Y/n...Y/n can you hear me?"
As your vision comes into focus your eyes widen as you realize who was knelt next to you.
"Harry..." you mumble as you weakly reach up and cup his face
He smiles weakly back, seeing you in so much pain and honestly so close to death...
"Hi sweetheart...I'm gonna get you out of here okay? Get you some help, alright?"
you nod slight and he slides one arm under your knees and the other under your upper torso. Picking you up bridal style he quickly makes his way out the things he noticed about the woman he loved more than anything was how much weight you had loss, the blood dripping down his arm from your forehead and that dazed almost lifeless look in your eyes.
He picks up the pace in his steps and as soon as the coast was clear he held you closer and floo you both off to the cottage.
------ At The Cottage ------
Harry quickly sat you down on the couch, the dizziness had took over and you had loss consciousness a few minutes prior. Molly gasps as she rushes over and helps Harry lay you on the couch.
She asses the wound on your head before quickly jumping into action and cleaning then stitching the rather deep wound
Harry stood at the end of the couch the whole time. His eyes never once leaving you as he watched Molly clean the wound and stitch you up.
He felt completely guilty for this whole thing, he had promised from the day he met you to protect you. You were nothing more than a ray of sunshine in his extremely dark life, the reason he lived was you and seeing you lay on the couch unconscious and injured absolutely broke him. He could not loose anyone else.
After Molly was finished she stepped back and walked over to Harry wrapping her arms around him in a tight motherly hug.
"She will be alright..." she mumbles softly into his hair as he begins to sob.
------ A Little While Later ------
Harry had fallen asleep sat on the floor next to the couch where you had been laid. His head rested uncomfortably on the edge as his hand gripped onto yours tightly. His whole body reacts when he feels you hand twitch slightly. His hands snap open and he quickly looks up at you right when your eyes slowly flutter open.
"Y-Y/n? Sweetheart, are you awake?" You groan softly as you reach up and feel at the now bandaged wound. Harry gently grabs your hand and pulls it back down, planting a soft kiss on your palm as he moves to sit on the edge of the bed.
"Hey...You're alright love...I'm right here..." He whisper softly as tears flood your eyes
"Harry..."
He stares at you sympathetically for a moment before, gently as possible, lifting you into his arms and holding you close to his chest. His hands rubbing up and down your back slowly as you sob into his shoulder where your head is resting.
He feels his own tears rise but he chokes them down to comfort you, something he knew you needed.
After a long few minutes you calm down and slowly sit up, ignoring the pounding that happens in your head at the movement. You hands wrap tightly around him and you stare down at him silently as he stares back before gently kissing your forehead leading you to let out a sigh and lay your head back down on his shoulder.
Harry noticed the shift in your personality. The silence that used to be replaced with constant chatter about things only Hermione could truly understand. The fear in your eyes that used to be full of light and shine. He noticed it all and it killed him...
"My love...Lets get you some food alright? And maybe some orange juice?"
He waits for your reply and when you nod he immediately stands with you in his arms and makes his way into the kitchen where he goes to place you in a chair only to be stopped when you tighten your grip and mutter out a soft "No..."
He stops in his tracks and stands back up with you in his arms, glancing down at your face
"No what love? You don't want me to put you down?" When you nod, confirming his question he sighs softly but obeys your wish and walks over to the fridge and pulls out a pitcher of orange juice that he pours into a cup and hands to you. As you sip at the juice he quickly makes a sandwich before taking a seat at the dining table and slowly feeds you the sandwich.
When you finish it a few minutes later he lets you finish the orange juice before standing and placing the dishes in the sink, letting the magic do its thing and clean the dishes, Harry makes his way down a hall and into the room Bill had given him to stay in.
He gently lays you down in the bed causing you to let out a soft whimper, he gently kisses your forehead
"Shh sweetheart, i'm right here...Let me get you some clean clothes okay?"
You hesitantly nod and he rushes off into the closet where he grabs an old shirt of his and a random pair of boxers before quickly making his way back to you where he finds you crying.
The guilt in his gut only grows and he walks over gently rubbing your back, you climb into his lap and he instantly lets you, wrapping his arms around your waist and rocking you gently as you sob.
Once you calm down he coaxes you off of him for just long enough to get you bathed and changed into the outfit before helping you into bed where he climbs in after you, letting you lay on top of him- rather uncomfortably, before holding you close as you fall asleep a few moments later.
And that is how most days go...
A few weeks passed and your physical condition had improved, the gash had almost completely healed, leaving a scar. All the bruises had faded and the small cuts had healed leaving their own small scars across your body.
Your mental health was another thing...While it hadn't worsened it really hadn't improved either...Harry could finally leave you alone but not for to long, you refused to leave the bed and talking still came very rarely for you.
Harry had left the room a few moment ago, to do something...He had said but truly you hadn't been listening.
Looking around the room your eyes land on the mirror hung on the wall, more specifically the reflection in the mirror. As you stared down your own reflection, seeing the large scar across your forehead caused disgust to rush over you in waves.
You slowly sit up in the bed letting the blanket fall to your waist, being in only your bra, all of the small scars that now littered your body were on full display. Your hands slowly ran over each of them, picking and pulling at them almost as if you were trying to get them off of you.
You were so lost in your own world that you didn't notice harry stepping into the room until you saw him in the mirror causing you to jump.
"What are you doing sweetheart?" He asks softly as he climbs onto the bed and wraps his arms around your waist after gently grabbing your hands and pulling them away from your skin
"N-Nothing..."
He clearly didn't believe you but instead of saying anything he gently pushed you back onto the bed and yanked the blanket off of you completely causing you to gasp and wrap your arms around his shoulders. "H-Harry! What are you doing?!"
He shrugs slightly as he leans down and kisses your forehead, right on the scar. "So pretty..."
Your whole body heats up as he leans down to your stomach area and presses soft kisses to each scar he could see as he mumbles praises.
"Beautiful..."
"Gorgeous..."
"Pretty..."
Any praise he could think of was flying out of his lips as he worshiped you, your face was the so ho from being so flustered that you couldn't stand it. This was exactly what you needed...That disgusted feeling melted away with every kiss and praise he gave you.
After a moment he looks back up at you, his glasses sat on the tip of his nose almost falling off. You giggle softly pushing his glasses back up his face, a smile appearing on your face for the first time in weeks.
Harry grins and moves up peppering kisses all over your face causing the small giggles to grow even more as you gently push him away
"My sweet girl" He says softly "Wanna take a walk with me? You seem in a good mood..."
You think for a long moment about the offer before ultimately nodding and slowly pulling yourself from the bed and into a standing position.
Harry smiles quickly following you out of the bed and helping you put your shoes on before putting his own on and leading you out of the cottage, the sun hitting your skin for the first time in weeks was an amazing feeling. You soaked it in for a moment before walking down the beach towards the water where you stop at the shore line letting the water wash over your sandal covered feet.
Harry slowly approaches you, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind and resting his chin on your shoulder as he gazes down on your face as you gaze out at the water
"What are you thinking about honey?"
You stay silent for a moment before leaning back against him "Our future..."
"Oh yeah? What about it?"
"I don't know...Just how- how everything is gonna end...With the war, the death eaters...he who should not be names..."
He sighs softly and kisses your cheek, before being taken you had no problem calling him Voldemort but now you were terrified..
"Nothing will happen to you again...Me, Ron and Hermione have a plane okay? Please don't worry about it..."
With a small nod you turn around in his arms and snuggle your face against his chest "How many kids do you want..?"
He looks down slightly shocked at your question before thinking for a moment "Honestly, it wouldn't matter to me...As long as I have you that's all that matters...What about you baby? How many?"
"Three...Two boys and a girl..."
He chuckles, your answer was instant with absolutely not hesitation behind it. "I'll do my best to help fulfill that dream my love..."
You giggle and slowly close your eyes as you rest against him. It finally felt like you could see a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. He had been everything you needed to get through such a rough time. Your love. Your support but most importantly your protector.
THE END

iris - han jisung
word count - 1k+ pairing - han jisung x reader warnings - none, just immense softness author’s note: *clears throat, taps mic* is this thing working? anyway, hi y’all i am VERY new to stayblr and to writing on stayblr. this is my first work ever on here. it was born out of my head full of han jisung’s cover of i love you so and my carnal, visceral, insatiable need for him to cover iris by the goo goo dolls... i can picture it already grrrrrr. anyway, hope you guys like this soft little hannie writeup like i did. show it some love if you can xx and i’d be very happy to hear ur thoughts on it <3
The rain pours outside and the pattering against the window creates a soothing thrum in the confines of your room. The lamp by your bed casts a warm glow. The strong earthy scent of the cups of coffee that you had brewed wafts in as you push open the door with your leg. Your boyfriend who lay on your bed, scrolling through his phone let out an appreciative hum and a deep sniff.
You slowly settle down into the mess of blankets and your boyfriend’s limbs. “Here you go, Hannie.”
“Thank you, baby,” he murmurs as he sits up, pressing a swift kiss to your cheek. He grabs a cup from your hand and throws the blanket over your knees as you cuddle up into his side. His phone now lay discarded by the bedside table and his attention was focused on you.
“I feel like every single thing that weighed down on me just fell away as soon as I stepped in here.”
A gentle smile makes its way onto your lips. “Yeah?”
“I missed you so much. I love work, but I missed you so much. It gets so hard sometimes. Somedays I’m tired to my bones and I want to fall apart. I don’t want to face the world or go on stage…Just wanna crawl into your arms and lock us away like this.”
You reach out to him, hands sweeping beneath the hood of his cozy sweatshirt, fingers weaving into his hair. “I know, baby. And you still went out there every night and put on the performance of your life. And now you have hours and hours to be in my arms, just like you want.”
Han looks down at you, eyes glimmering with a fondness that leaves them a little glazed. He leans over, lips finding yours in a soft press of flesh. He kisses you once, twice before he pulls back and away. His coffee mug joins his phone on the bedside table before he fumbles out of the bed, walking away.
“Be right back,” he calls out behind him.
You sip on your coffee revelling in the bittersweet taste of it while wondering where Jisung had suddenly disappeared. You looked at the window, the raindrops merging into one another in a glistening array of oranges and blues reflected on the glass.
A few minutes later, Jisung walks in with his guitar in his arms.
“Oh, are we getting some music to keep us company?”
He flashes you a wide smile as he joins you again. He settles back against the headboard, guitar resting over his thighs. “I have a song for you. Makes me think of you.”
Your heart flutters in your chest. Jisung always makes your heart flutter - as if he was still just a crush. Like your fingers just brushed against each other’s. Like you were sneaking glances and caught the other already looking. Like the first press of his lips against your cheek. Or your trembling fingers as they held his for the first time. Like the tremble of his breath in your ear that first night. “For me? Which one is it?”
He only smiles in response as his eyes focus on settling his finger over the right chords before he begins strumming.
“I’d give up forever to touch you, cause I know that you feel me somehow.”
As you register the words and recognise the song, there’s an immediate sting at the back of your nose building up. Your eyes quickly water as Han’s mellow voice bleeds through the room, reverberating around you, embracing you whole as it makes its way right into your heart, your soul.
He’s a vision, right there in your bed. His hood over his head, hair messy, in a pair of raggedy, old sweatpants. The lamp crowns him with a balmy halo as he gazes right at you while singing. He looks so at ease like he’s exactly where he needs to be, exactly where he belongs. He’s right there looking like the love of your life.
“And I don’t want the world to see me, ‘cause I don’t think that they’d understand.”
A stray tear finally escapes your glistening eyes, running down your cheek. Somehow, if it was possible, Han’s eyes only grew fonder.
“When everything’s made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am.”
You sniff quietly, wiping away the tear as quickly as it came. You weren’t sad, no. How could you be, with the man of your dreams sitting in front of you, in your little haven of a room, singing to you like you were the only one who needed to listen to his voice like this.
As the last chords of the song die out, Jisung sits there for a few seconds, his pretty doe eyes watching you carefully.
“What? Why are you looking at me like that?” You whisper, voice still a little watery.
Han’s lips curve into a tender smile. “I’m going to marry you.”
Your breath hitches. “Hannie…”
“I know it. There’s a lot of things I’m unsure of. But this is not one of them. I’m going to marry you one day.”
He quickly puts away his guitar when you surge towards him, finding himself with a lap full of you. Your hands cup his face as you lean your forehead against his. “You mean that?”
“Of course, baby. I mean it.”
You kiss him deeply, the taste of coffee on your tongue drawing out a hum out of him. You pull away only to pepper kisses all over his face - on his forehead, his nose, his cheeks, his eyelids, his ears. His laughter fills the air and his hands squeeze your waist affectionately.
“It seems you like the idea of it,” he mumbles, chasing your lips again.
You huff out a breathless giggle as he pushes you off his lap and into the mattress. “Well yeah, I am gonna marry you too, Han Jisung.”
A wide grin blooms on his face as he hovers over you. He’s tugging off his hoodie and leaning down towards you, as he whispers. “Wouldn’t dream of having it any other way.”

Title: Half Baked
You’ve never seen Chan this distraught.
Granted, it’s not like you’ve known him your whole life or anything, but in all the time you have known him, Chan has always been the calm one-cool, collected, rational, level headed.
This is not that.
He flings open the door before you can even raise your fist to knock-you’d decided against using the pincode and letting yourself in, considering there was a very protective alpha on the other side-and when he sees you, his shoulders slump into some sort of exhausted relief.
“Hey.” He breathes out, staring at you, fingers still gripped tightly around the lip of the omega’s door.
You arch a brow and incline your head toward the interior of the dorm. “Can I come in there without you biting my head off?”
He takes in a long, slow breath through his nose, and steps back a little from the open door with one quick jerk of a nod. “Yeah.”
You step past him, and he’s true to his word, rooted to the spot, but your wolf doesn’t miss the way his jaw ticks as you pass, the way his nostrils flare, the almost death grip of his white knuckles as they tighten on the door.
You retreat to the opposite side of the small couch for safety, and watch him warily as he closes and locks the door once more before turning to you.
He takes a small step in your direction, and you tense without really thinking about it.
Chan freezes, staring at you, and you notice the wild look to his eyes has diminished since he first saw you, but the alpha gold is present and vibrant as ever in his irises, swallowing any hint of his normal caramel.
He sighs again, and reaches up to rake an agitated hand through his messy hair.
“I’m sorry.” He apologizes in a whisper, voice strangled, and your wolf keens sadly in response.
You emerge from behind the safety of the couch, moving to stand in front of him.
Surprise flashes across his haggard features, but he doesn’t move, staring at you, as you study his face.
The man is tired, so is the wolf.
You dare to reach up and run a finger beneath his jaw, swiping across his scent gland gently, and his chest caves in as he takes a deep, shuddering breath, then another.
“You don’t need to apologize.” You murmur back, watching him carefully, your fingers still playing around the oozing gland at his throat.
The smell of storm is overwhelming.
“I do though.” Chan says hoarsely, his eyes meeting yours, his bottom lip going between his teeth. “I basically kicked you and Minho out-”
Your lips quirk up into the start of a small smile. “Yeah, well Minho was being an asshole, so I don’t blame you. He kind of deserved it.”
Chan huffs out something that could’ve been a chuckle if his entire demeanor wasn’t so stiff and morose, and glances sidelong, past you to the darkness of the hallway.
“Still, I don’t think my alpha has ever reacted this strongly to an omega’s heat before. I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with me.”
You place your palm flat against his gland, and he leans into your touch, as if he’s a dog seeking comfort from a familiar hand.
“I think I have an idea.”
Chan’s eyes flare with surprise, and his lips gap.
You give him the hint of another small smile. “First off, I don’t think any of us have ever dealt with someone presenting before, so that’s an unknown that we weren’t really planning for. Secondly-”
You pause, watching him carefully, gauging whether you think he’s ready to hear this.
Better now than later.
“Minho wasn’t just being an asshole, though he does that often enough that it wouldn’t surprise me if he were.” You give a little laugh, and then sober up again, staring up at Chan. “He was testing something.”
Chan’s brows disappear into his hairline. “What?”
“Yeah.” You nod. “And I told him he should never, ever be a scientist, but he kind of cemented something into place for us regardless.”
Chan is staring at you, brow furrowed, expression confused.
You take in another breath, and spit it out.
“You’re a head alpha. And not just any head alpha, you’re our head alpha.”
Chan is frozen, staring at you, expression unreadable, and you suddenly worry you’ve broken him.
“Channie-” You start to say, reaching out for his hands now, as his chest heaves with a breath.
“Oh my god.” He cuts you off, his voice little more than a shocked whisper beneath his breath. “It all fucking makes sense.”
Well, he’s taking it better than you had expected.
“Yeah.” You nod, squeezing his fingers between your own. “Sorry to drop that bomb on you right now, but I thought you needed to hear it, at least to put your mind at ease a little over your behavior.”
Chan’s gaze raises to you, and his tongue darts out to wet his lips.
“Fuck, okay, I’m going to need more details on that later, but now-”
His gaze flicks past you once more to the dark hallway, and you take in a steadying breath.
“Yeah, okay. What can I do to help?”
The alpha in front of you rakes another violent hand through his hair, and you can practically see the agitated wolf pacing beneath the surface of his twisted features.
“I don’t fucking know. I don’t-”
You reach out and palm his gland again, and when he finally looks at you once more, you give him a serious, pointed look, your alpha surging forward now, ready to hear about the newest omega-your newest omega-in the other room.
Suddenly, the scent of petrichor is being drowned out by the smell of freshly baked bread, crusted in cinnamon.
“Is Jeongin okay?”
The wild look is back in Chan’s eyes, the gold molten, as he tears away from you to pace the length of the small room, movements agitated.
“Yes? I don’t know. Everything happened so fast, but I didn’t- We didn’t-”
You stare at him, trying to figure out what he’s trying to say, your wolf growling dangerously now.
“You didn’t what-?” You pin him beneath your gaze, and Chan stops, reaching up to tug at the ends of his messy curls, expression frantic.
The smell of storm is decaying, turning into something sour and rotten.
“He’s fucking miserable, (Y/N), but I couldn’t-”
He stops again, and something clicks into place in your brain. Your irritated wolf backs down instantly, purring and chuffing in comfort to the clearly distressed alpha before you.
“Channie-” You say softly, stepping toward him, trying to send soothing signals into the space between the two of you.
Chan sighs, long and heavy, shoulders slumping once more, and stares at the floor beneath his sneakers, his hands clenched into fists at his side.
“The kid’s never taken a knot before.” He sucks in a breath and glances up at you, eyes dark and serious. “And I know he’s an omega now and that his wolf biology is built for that or whatever, but fuck, that doesn’t mean I’m incapable of hurting him.”
His chin drops back down to his chest, and his fingers clench at his sides, knuckles whitening.
You step toward him, and wrap your arms around his waist, consequences be damned.
“Baby.” You breathe, tilting your head to look up at him. “Look at me.”
He does, lips pulled into a thin, tight line, stretched with worry.
You can see the war behind his eyes, the struggle.
Because Chan is worried about Jeongin, worried that it’s his first time, that he’ll be uncomfortable, and his alpha is worried about the new omega, worried that he’s suffering, that he needed a knot yesterday.
You smooth your palms down the sides of his neck, watch the way his chest rises and falls with an inhale, the way his muscles relax slightly beneath the wave you push forward of your own scent.
“Did he ask you?” You question quietly, gaze intent on his own.
His features fall a little, and he lets out another long, shuddering breath, a muscle in his jaw flexing slightly as he grinds his teeth.
“I mean, yeah.” He admits in a murmur, his expression unsure now. “But I didn’t know if that was just a physical and emotional response to being so close to my alpha now that he’s presented, or if he actually knew what he was asking for.”
“It’s probably both.” You admit gently, his eyes flicking up to your own, and you give him what you hope is the hint of a soothing smile. “However, maybe you just need to trust your gut and go with instinct this one time. Not overthink it.”
Chan lets out a little sardonic cough, halfway to a chuckle, his eyes bitter. “Yeah, kind of a hard ask when it comes to me.”
Your mouth tugs upward, and you reach up to trace a finger down the line of his nose, smoothing away the worried wrinkles currently residing between his eyes.
“Channie.”
When he looks at you once more, you cock your head and stare him down.
“You already know, deep down, you’re not gonna hurt him. You’re going to be gentle and loving and careful and give him exactly what he needs. You and I both know you’d never do anything to endanger a member of this pack, right?”
He parts his lips, as if to respond, but all that comes out is a huff of breath, as if he’s unsure how to answer your question.
“Right?” You prod again, a little more sternly, and Chan finally nods, shoulders slumping forward in defeat.
“Yeah.”
“Okay, so-” You let your hands smooth over his scent gland again, your palms sticky with the leaking pheromones, and tug your fingers up through his disheveled curls, tilting his chin to make him meet your gaze. “-go in there and help our omega.”
Something resolves in Chan’s gaze, just a little, and he gives a tiny nod, lifting his chin, his gaze flickering past you and to the hallway beyond.
“Okay.” He nods again, taking in a deep breath, chest rising and falling against your own. “Okay.” He repeats, more sure this time, glancing back down to you, a fire in the back of his eyes. “You’re right. I can do this.”
“Good boy.” You grin, laughing slightly as he rolls his eyes.
There’s the Chan you know.
Something hesitant flickers across his gaze, and he rolls his bottom lip between his teeth, looking anxious. “Fuck, why am I acting like a pup that doesn’t know what he’s doing? I don’t know why I’m so fucking nervous.” “Because you love him. And I know what that’s like.” You reply back with surety, so quickly that it takes the both of you off guard.
The look of shocked surprise on Chan’s face probably mirrors your own.
Because you do love Jeongin, have known it for awhile, and you know Chan knows that, but in this moment, you’re no longer talking about the newest omega down the hall, you’re suddenly talking about-
Chan stares at you, and you wish you could bite your tongue off.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
He stares.
You look away.
You clear your throat in the sudden silence, and inch back from him, straightening the hoodie he wears, if only to give your fingers something to do, your eyes somewhere else to focus.
You give him an awkward little pat on the chest before you step away completely.
“So, go get him, pretty boy.”
You can feel Chan’s gaze still on you, can feel the start of something brewing at the tip of his tongue, the tension in the air between you, but you doggedly avoid eye contact, not giving him the chance, already headed for the door.
“Text me when you’re done, yeah? I gotta get out of here, the smell of cinnamon is making my teeth ache.”
Your hand is on the knob when Chan calls, “(Y/N).”
You turn back slowly, already regretting the decision.
He gives you the hint of a smile and a little wave of his fingers.
“Thanks.” You nod, biting down on your own tongue, and leave the apartment and the smell of baked bread behind.
******************
“God-”
You throw another punch, your glove landing solidly in the middle of the bag.
Thwack.
“Fucking-” Another hit, another ripple of pain through your already abused knuckles.
Thwack.
“Dammit!”
Your glove connects again, and this time you let it drop back to your side after the hit, breathing hard, chest heaving, sweat dripping down your brow, body numb.
With a low whistle, Changbin appears at your side, brow arched and expression slightly amused, taking in your exhausted stance.
“Fuck, girl, if I’d known you could go that hard, I would’ve brought you with me to the gym a lot sooner.”
You give him a sidelong glare, reaching to pull the glove off your dominant hand, before you undo the other, dropping them to the mat at your feet, before you move on to ripping the tape off of your knuckles unceremoniously.
“Don’t get used to it.”
You don’t usually take Changbin up on his offers to hit the campus gym-preferring to stick to long distance running with Yeosang instead-but tonight, you’d needed something a little more than running.
Your slip up with Chan last week-and your misstep and ensuing fight with Jeongin-had had your thoughts in knots since, your body tense, and fuck it all, you’d needed an outlet.
So rather than unfairly deck Jisung in the face when he’d poured cold water over you in the shower earlier, you’d opted for going to the gym with Changbin, and the punching bag had been just what you needed.
Changbin reaches down and picks up your discarded gloves, tossing them back into the recesses of his large gym bag, before he steps toward you and takes your hands in his, inspecting your knuckles.
They’re already bruising, darkening to blue, and a little bit of the skin is split on your dominant hand, but other than that, you haven’t fared all that bad, especially considering you’d been going at it-hard-for more than an hour now.
Changbin brushes his thumb over the split between your knuckles, and you let out a hiss between your teeth, his eyes meeting yours at the sound with another knowing arch of his dark brow.
“Minho’s gonna be proud, considering how well you fared the first time you threw a punch against him.”
You glare at him, pulling your hand from his grasp, as a slight smirk comes to his lips.
“I didn’t have a glove the first time. It was spontaneous, a rage filled necessity. Minho knew he was egging me on, I just reacted. He was being a fucking dick, and I threw a punch, knuckles and proper form be damned.”
“Right, right.” Changbin agrees with a little chuckle and a raise of his hands, ignoring your sour look in his direction, as he steps over to pick up his bag, slinging it over his shoulder.
His golden skin is glistening with sweat from his own workout, and if you weren’t in such a bad mood, you would’ve taken the opportunity to push him into the nearest locker room and lick it off, slowly and meticulously, but since you are in such a bad mood, you silently follow him down the stairs and out the front doors of the gym.
It’s dark outside, and chilly, the sun having set hours ago, and you keep stride with Changbin easily, as you walk through the park and cut across the main field of campus, a shortcut of sorts, that will deposit you directly outside of the alpha dorms.
As you walk, you can feel Changbin darting glances in your direction, but you ignore him, striding beside him in complete silence.
Finally, he asks, “So, are you gonna tell me what brought all that on or-?”
You violently kick a pebble off the edge of the path with the toe of your sneaker, listening to it rattle away amongst the trees in the darkness, and refuse to look at him, snarking back, “What? I can’t just enjoy a good boxing session every once and a while without some dark, sinister reason? Seems a little hypocritical, don’t you think?”
Changbin clicks his tongue beneath his breath, dodging your warpath, as you kick another pebble into the trees, this one dangerously close to hitting his ankle.
“I mean, yeah, you can, but you don’t.” You send another rock flying with a vehement curse under your breath.
“Fucking hell, dude, just drop it, would you?”
He pivots to walk in front of you, walking backward so he can stare at you, his brow furrowed into the start of a dangerous scowl, eyes dark and flashing with warning.
“Fucking talk to me like that again, dude, and I’ll drop you.”
You don’t back down an inch, glaring right back at him and walking quicker, closing the distance between the two of you.
“Try it, I dare you. I just spent an hour improving my aim and force, and I’m dying to actually apply it in real life.”
He holds your glare for another moment, a muscle ticking with annoyance in his strong jaw, and then he sighs with exasperation, stopping in front of you so you have to stop too, lest you run smack dab into his broad chest.
Actually, that probably wouldn’t be so bad.
He stares at you, his hands going to his hips, like he’s a mother-or Minho-getting ready to tell you off, and then he blows out another breath past his teeth, his shoulders slumping, as he admits with softened irritation, “You’re infuriating, you know that?”
You feel the muscles in your body relax, if only just a bit, and your glare softens minutely at his obviously candid words.
“So I’ve been told.”
He glances up at the dark sky over your heads, the moon rising over the stark branches of the trees, and then back to you, before he says, “You know your scent has been whacked out all week right? Ever since Jeongin’s presentation.”
Your shoulders tense, but you start to accept defeat under his scrutiny, letting out a long sigh of your own in response.
“I know.” You finally acquiesce, voice slightly bitter, your words dropping off, as you glance back down at the ground, scuffing your sneaker along the sidewalk, wishing for another rock.
Changbin steps closer, you see his converse kiss the toes of your own, and then his fingers find your chin, tilting your gaze back to meet his own, eyes dark and gentle.
“Talk to me, baby.”
You blow out another harsh breath. “I think-” You start, before stuttering off again, a sudden lump in your throat.
You nip your bottom lip between your teeth and will yourself not to cry.
Changbin reaches out, freeing the skin from your grip, before he thumbs your lip softly, tracing the skin with his touch.
“You think-?” He pushes gently, eyes locked on your own, expression intent.
You swallow thickly, and glance up at the sky above you, counting stars silently to keep your emotions in check.
Fuck it, you might as well just tell him.
“I think I told Chan something, inadvertently, that maybe fucked up our relationship forever.” You give a sardonic little laugh, one that lacks all humor, and shrug helplessly. “You know me and my big mouth. And then, of course, the whole thing with Jeongin-” You sigh. “Ive fucked up-probably irrevocably-two of my most important relationships in the last week.”
Changbin’s gaze narrows in on you, and you can see him processing, going over things in his mind, reviewing the week back, looking for clues.
“Have you talked to Chan about it?” He asks you finally, and you’re glad he hasn’t asked you what it was that you said.
You don’t think you could repeat it again.
‘Love. I know what that feels like.’
“I’ve been avoiding him.” You admit quietly, your gut churning into knots at just the thought of seeing Chan, at having to talk to him about what you’d admitted.
Changbin takes your hands in his, thumbs brushing carefully over the sore, swollen skin of your knuckles, and when he speaks, his voice is gentle, but firm, “That’s the first step then. And we all need to make reparations with Jeongin. But I think you know all that already.”
You swallow, before you nod reluctantly.
“Yeah, I guess so.”
He gives you the hint of a soft smile, and pulls you with him as he begins walking again, hand still firmly in his own.
“C’mon. Let’s go home. Minho-hyung’s gonna wanna look at those knuckles.”
**************
You: Hey. Innie: Hey. You: Can we talk? Innie: Yeah……cafe @ 12? You: I’ll be there.
You’re not sure what to expect when Jeongin slides into the booth opposite you, dropping his backpack with a thud and turning to you expectantly, albeit a little shyly.
God, he’s pretty.
His fiery red hair is tucked beneath a baseball cap today, a thick, wool cardigan hanging off his shoulders, a woven bracelet you vaguely remember Jisung making tied around his small wrist. His nails are painted a dark navy, matching the mood of the oncoming winter outside.
The scent of warm bread fills your nose as he leans toward you slightly, and your jaw aches in response, saliva pooling beneath your tongue.
“Hi.” He says without preamble, large dark eyes on your own.
You swallow and take in a deep breath through your mouth.
“Hey.”
It sounds lame, flat, a placeholder for what you should be actually saying.
You take in another breath and jump in without preamble.
“Look, Jeongin, I am so fucking sorry-”
His lips quirk slightly, catching you off guard, and he sits back, looking more relaxed now.
“Yeah, I know, noona.”
Your words die in your throat, and you stare at him, openly shocked.
“You do?”
“Yeah.” He shrugs, giving you a grin now, white teeth flashing. “Chan-hyung told me all about it. You know, after-” His words stumble to a halt, and his cheeks flush a deep red.
Fucking adorable.
You clear your throat. “Okay, well, I just need you to know though, that you’ve always been a part of this pack, from the moment we met you, but we just couldn’t figure out how to be around you when you weren’t-”
“Presented.” Jeongin finishes for you easily, his brow quirking upward. “Yeah, noona, I get it now. It’s okay.”
Your body relaxes slightly, and you let out the breath you’ve been holding, sinking back into the booth behind you.
“Yeah?” “Yeah.” Jeongin nods back resolutely, his expression open and understanding. “It hurt, before, because I didn’t get it, but now, I do.” His dark eyes flash with affection. “You guys were just trying to protect me. I see that now. Seriously.”
Your alpha hums contentedly in your chest in response.
“Fuck.” Your shoulders slump with relief. “We went about it really stupidly, Innie, but I swear we were.”
He gives you a half smile, his lips curling up, and a wave of spiced cinnamon has your gut clenching with need.
“It’s okay, noona. Really.”
Might as well continue with the honesty, right?
“Innie-” You let the words die on your tongue as his eyes meet yours, large, and dark, and completely vulnerable. You swallow and ask, like a coward, instead, “-are you feeling okay? You know, after everything?”
His cheeks flush a subtle pink again, and he looks away, tapping his fingers on the table between you in an awkward sort of stiletto.
“Yeah-” He gives a half little shrug, and you see his throat bob with a swallow. “-I mean, I guess? I don’t really know how I’m supposed to be feeling right now. I’ve never done this before.” You reach out, stilling his fingers by placing your palm over his hand, and when he finally looks at you once more, you give him a soft, comforting smile, squeezing his hand in your own.
His skin is warm, soft and familiar beneath your hold.
“It’s okay, Innie. We’ve all been there. It’s overwhelming at first.”
“That’s an understatement.” He gives a little snort, rolling his eyes. “I swear to god I’ve never been this aware of how people smell in my entire life.”
With a jolt, you realize that you’re probably being really overwhelming right now, this close to him, touching him, your alpha pheromones oozing from every pore in an attempt to soothe the agitated omega before you.
“Oh, shit, I didn’t even think-” You start, pulling your hand from his grasp, but his fingers clench down on your own, his brow furrowing instantly.
“No, not you!” He blurts out, almost in a panic, and you freeze. He clears his throat, blushing again, and then repeats quietly, “Not you, noona.I like how you smell. I like how everyone in the pack smells.”
Your body relaxes once more, and you give him the hint of a smile as you reposition your hand over his.
“Oh, okay. That’s good. Great, even.”
“It is?” Jeongin questions curiously, before he lifts an arm, taking a sniff of his sweater, his large eyes flashing back up to your own, alight with innocence. “Do I smell good to you guys then too?”
As if his body reacts to his own question, you catch a fresh wave of cinnamon and yeast, heady and strong, and your fingers tighten around his own on instinct, your jaw suddenly clenched, aching and expectant.
You breathe out slowly through your nose, and relax your fingers one by one.
“Yeah-” You get out through gritted teeth. “-you could say that.”
Your alpha is begging you to pounce on the omega in front of you-all too big eyes and small frame, wrapped up prettily in an oversized sweater-but you force down the instinct, breathing out slowly instead, counting to ten silently in your head as Jeongin watches you expectantly.
“Noona?” He asks, a little hesitantly, and you’d bet that his omega is doing something weird, maybe alarming, in response to your obvious reaction.
“Sorry.” You shake your head to clear your thoughts, and give him a strained smile, clearing your throat. “Yeah, you smell really good to us too, Innie. It’s a pack thing, a biology thing. Especially between alphas and omegas. Nature wants us to find each other enticing, so omega scents are specifically designed to appeal to alphas and vice versa.”
“Oh.” He simply replies, looking thoughtful now, as if he’s digesting what you’ve told him.
“Anyway-” You glance at the clock on the wall behind his head, noting the time and how long you’ve both been sitting at the booth now. “-I have a lab I need to get to, but it’s on the way to the omega dorms if you’re done for the day and wanna walk with me?”
Jeongin’s eyes light up and he grins, nodding rapidly, as he reaches for his backpack and scoots out of the booth.
“I’d like that.”
You follow him out of the small, warm cafe, the winter air nipping at your nose as you step outside, slinging your own bag over your shoulder, your hands going into the pockets of your coat for warmth.
Jeongin pulls a scarf from his bag and tucks it around his neck with difficulty, the brisk wind whipping at the knitted fabric.
Without a thought, you step forward and bat his hands away teasingly, wrapping the scarf securely around his throat a few times, before you tuck the loose ends down into the heavy fabric of his cardigan.
“There.” You say firmly, finishing and looking down at him, making sure he’s completely covered. “Better?”
Jeongin stares up at you, wide, dark eyes lined with incredibly long lashes, the end of his pert nose already turning red from the cold, face tucked into the folds of the scarf.
“Yeah.” He breathes out, still staring up at you, his breath clouding in the cold air, and not for the first time, you have the fleeting thought that Jeongin looks good enough to eat.
Bread bakes between the two of you without warning, and you clear your throat, telling yourself to step back, but you can’t physically make your feet move, fingers still clenched on the soft fabric of Jeongin’s scarf.
“Fuck, don’t look at me like that.” You choke out, not able to stop yourself, glancing around to see if anyone has noticed the two of you, frozen on the sidewalk in front of the campus cafe.
No one is around.
You don’t know if that’s incredibly fortunate, or incredibly dangerous.
“Noona?” He questions softly, and your eyes flick back to his own.
“Yeah?”
He sucks his bottom lip between his teeth and chews it, staring up at you, and everything inside of you is begging you to free the delicate, plump, pink skin.
His cheeks are red, and you don’t know if it’s from the proximity, or from the frigid air.
“Can I ask you something?”
You hold your breath. “Of course.”
He glances away, suddenly looking nervous. “Do you-” He takes in a shaky breath, and bravely meets your gaze once more. “-I mean, would you-?”
You know what he’s asking, even without the words.
Taking a step closer to him, your shoes butting against his own, you put a finger beneath his chin and angle his gaze upward, and you’re so close now, your lips are almost brushing, the warmth of Jeongin’s breath fanning across your tongue.
You can almost taste the bread.
“Yes, little pup. I would.” You murmur, words husky, voice dropping into a touch of alpha timber in response to his body against your own, his omega practically begging for your alpha just beneath the surface of his gaze.
He sucks in a sharp breath as you let your thumb brush across the seam of his lips.
“However, if I kiss you now, baby boy, I don’t think I’d be able to stop anytime soon.”
His body shivers, and you can tell it’s not from the cold, and fuck, you really want to skip your lab, but-
You thumb his bottom lip once more, letting the skin drag beneath your touch, before you pull back.
“And I want to take my fucking time, so-” You tug his collar and scarf up around his throat once more, bundling him for the walk back to the dorms.
His eyes are hazed, pupils dark and blown, as you give him a little smirk.
“-later, hm, pup?”
He nods eagerly, and your alpha chuffs approvingly in response.
“Good boy. Now c’mon, let’s get you out of this cold.”
*****************
“You can’t avoid him forever, you know.”
Jisung tosses another handful of popcorn into his mouth beside you on the couch, eyes trained on the TV where a badly made action movie is currently playing.
You don’t look at him as you query back innocently, “Who?”
He snorts, stuffing more popcorn into his already puffed cheeks.
“Chan-hyung.”
“I’m not avoiding him.” You reply back a little too quickly, clearly a lie, your eyes stilling on the page you’ve been doggedly reading for the last half an hour.
Jisung snorts again. “Yeah, okay, and I’m not fucking Minho-hyung.”
“Ew.” You shove his shoulder, and he totters, steadying the popcorn bowl at the last moment so it doesn’t dump its contents all over said hyung’s couch.
He gives you a glare, throwing a popcorn kernel at your head, and missing by a margin.
“Well, it’s true! I’m just saying, noona-” His words become muffled as he shoves another handful of popcorn into his waiting mouth, glancing at the movie once more. “-ever’one knows you’re being weird all the sudd’n.”
“Yeah, okay, well-” You shut your book a little bit harder than necessary, tossing it aside as you stand. “-when I want advice from you, Han Jisung, I’ll ask for it.” You lean over him obnoxiously, blocking his view of the TV, as you take a large handful of his popcorn and shove it into your mouth, chewing loudly as you stare him down.
“Hey!” He protests, jerking the popcorn out of your reach violently, as you straighten and give him one last pointed look, gathering up your homework.
“I’m only trying to help!” He calls out as you turn to leave the living room, flipping him off over your shoulder without looking back. “Just looking out for you, noona!”
He goes up on his knees on the couch, cupping his hands around his mouth, as if it’ll make him louder, and you can’t hear him just beyond the doorway.
“Considering, you know, that he’s here right now and all!”
His words don’t register for a moment, and when they do, it’s already too late, considering you’ve just rounded the corner into Minho’s kitchen and caught sight of both he and Chan sitting, deep in conversation, at the small table.
You come to a dead stop, your stomach instantly dropping out of your shoes, and they both look up at your entrance, Minho arching a brow at what you’re sure is clear, unfiltered panic crossing your face.
His lips curve into the hint of a knowing smirk.
“Ah, sweetheart. We were just talking about you.”
Shit.

endgame || pt. 2 to tolerate it
caitlin clark x reader (previous paige bueckers x reader) || previous: tolerate it || masterlist
notes: fluff, lmk if you guys want more caitlin stuff!! sorry for taking so long lmao, hope you like it <3
now playing: endgame by taylor swift
Endless streams of black silk flowed along her arms, down the small of her back, the weightless tule pooling at her feet. Gems stitched across the expanse caught sight of the flashing glares, absorbing the endless bursts of light.
(Y/n) had been positioned at the beginning of the velvety carpet, the expanse of red spreading to the entrance of the 2024 WNBA draft.
With her smiles, she carried along her reputation. She held the weight of tonight's unknown outcomes atop her head, her chin never wavering. Soon, (Y/n) would take the first leap, discarding everything and everyone who dared to trap her in the past.
Luckily, she wouldn’t be alone.
“Caitlin! (Y/n)! To your left here, please!”
The two girls moved together in unison at the request. An arm clad in white made its way around (Y/n)’s waist, finding solace in the familiar position. Soft smiles were placed upon their features. Their presence swallowed the venue whole, demanding attention.
Before, (Y/n) would’ve shied away from the sudden spotlight. She had been taught that seeking attention was greed, and only those who deserved it received it.
Now, she learned from someone else.
She met a girl whose love contrasted with anything she’d ever learnt before. Every word the girl spoke had been dipped in nectar. Apologizes were sent along with flowers and warmth, there wouldn’t be room for doubt anymore.
Ever since that night, days with Caitlin moulded into months. Savoured kisses were hidden behind curtains, bodies tangled beneath soft sheets.
Anyone would assume they had been cut from the same cloth given their natural lines that effortlessly fit together.
Now here they stood. After a lengthy conversation, the two eventually decided to make their first appearance together.
Another thing Caitlin had drilled into (Y/n)’s mind; never change who you are.
They addressed no comments towards their relationship. Only offering welcoming replies, carefully steering from the unsaid questions that plagued everyone’s mind: what were (Y/n) and Caitlin to each other?
If they had real answer, they would’ve told any who asked. But, unfortunately that was still a question left unanswered between the two girls.
Of course, they were friends. They had been friends ever since playing on the same team in seventh grade. They were friends who had shared each other’s first kiss. They were friends ever since they knew what it meant to want the princess, not the prince.
Being friends was the safest option. They both lead a busy life. There wasn’t much they could do together but send a ‘happy birthday <3’ text when they lived (about) 1000 miles away.
Though, together now, there still lied this unanswered question.
“Did I mention you look gorgeous, love?”
Caitlin’s soft murmur travelled across the expanse of (Y/n)’s neck, the sensation sparking warmth throughout her body. She swept her gaze upwards towards the brunette, eyebrows raised playfully.
“Yeah,” (Y/n) laughed, “like, three times already. You’re so dumb, Cait.”
Her last words were laced with love, of course, Caitlin knew what she was doing. After her comment, (Y/n) stepped out of Caitlin’s reach, continuing her path down the carpet. The brunette’s gaze trailed behind the deep cut of her black gown, she was never out of Caitlin’s sight.
It was a given that they would be separated tonight. Even before their arrival together, they had been the main topic of the night. Everyone wanted to talk to the all-time NCAA leading scorer from Iowa just as equally as they wanted to talk to the March Madness MVP from South Carolina.
Flash
“Please stand here for an interview, miss.”
“(Y/n), who are you wearing tonight?”
“Caitlin, how are you feeling?”
“Please sign my jersey, I love you guys so much!”
Every comment, instruction and praise was met with the genuine smile that places itself on her features. Her gown flowed along the carpet as she made her way towards her third interview of the night. However, her steady gait soon faltered as her gaze found an unexpected variable in her path. The shock rippled through her, momentarily freezing her in place. It had been months since they last spoke, since they last exchanged words that weren't filled with bitterness and hurt.
Paige's presence hit (Y/n) like a sudden gust of wind, stirring up memories that she had buried deep within herself. She remembered the laughter they’d shared, the late-night conversations, the warmth of Paige's embrace. Unfortunately, alongside those memories came the pain of their parting, the arguments, the tears, the lingering sense of resentment.
But, despite those average thoughts that came up on the topic of Paige, (Y/n) now felt something additional, something different.
As she stood there, her gaze briefly catching Paige's figure in the crowd, a wave of indifference washed over her. It wasn't that (Y/n) harboured any ill will towards Paige—far from it. (Sure, if Paige tripped and fell in that moment she would laugh at her pain, but no one would know that.) She had long since disregarded her for the actions of the past. But forgiveness didn't equate to a desire to rekindle what once was.
Paige Bueckers had exited her life. Whether anyone else thought differently, it didn’t matter.
Her performance over her college years had granted her a seat at the table.
Well, her own table.
She stood atop the stage among teammates and competitors she’d met over the years. The only difference this moment held, they would all be happy for each other no matter the outcome. Every player here had earned this moment.
And no one would doubt that (Y/n) and Caitlin deserved this moment.
Hard work leads to rewards.
But, hard work and raw talent lead to a spotlight reserved for the best.
The line defining the two is a delicate balance, one that is forced to put both against each other. Nevertheless, what the media depicts as a head-to-head is never the true case.
Throughout their careers, Caitlin and (Y/n) had unwillingly been placed on opposite sides of a scale. What others perceived as a rivalry, the two girls simply considered their competitive nature. Nevertheless, they found no reason to acknowledge the headlines.
Who would be granted the championship?
Who would the title of MVP belong to?
Who would win?
On that significant night, (Y/n) and Caitlin painted a masterpiece of determination and skill. As the clock dwindled to its final seconds, Caitlin conceded—it was (Y/n)'s turn to shine. And shine she did, her brilliance lighting up the court with a mesmerizing career high of 39 points.
South Carolina roared with triumph, claiming the championship banner, while (Y/n) (L/n) ascended to MVP status. Amidst the cacophony of celebration, whispers of debate lingered, but for most, there was no denying—she had earned her crown.
Now, on this electric draft night, (Y/n) waded through a sea of flashing lights and eager faces, her senses alive with anticipation. The air crackled with anticipation, pregnant with the promise of new beginnings and boundless opportunities. Yet, amidst the excitement, one question lingered—whose name would be called first?
With each step, purpose pulsed through (Y/n)'s veins, a steady rhythm guiding her forward. Tonight wasn't just about personal glory—it was the culmination of years of dedication, an opportunity to showcase her artistry on the grandest stage.
As she settled into her seat at the draft table, nerves and excitement tangled in her chest. The room buzzed with energy, a symphony of voices and whispered dreams. But amid the chaos, one figure stood out—Caitlin, a beacon of unwavering support, making her way to (Y/n) with purpose.
"Hey there, superstar," Caitlin's voice, a melody of pride and affection, washed over (Y/n) like a warm embrace. Leaning in, she planted a tender kiss on her lover's cheek, igniting a spark that danced across her skin.
(Y/n) returned the gesture with a soft smile, her heart overflowing with love. "Hey yourself," she murmured, reaching out to intertwine her fingers with Caitlin's, their connection a lifeline in the swirling chaos.
"Okay, sassy are we?" Caitlin teased, a playful twinkle in her eyes.
(Y/n) rolled her eyes in mock exasperation, her laughter a melody that danced through the air. At that moment, amidst the clamour of the crowd, they were a symphony unto themselves.
Though, soon enough, the minutes they were sharing vanished as the familiar chords sung, marking the beginning of the 2024 WNBA draft. The look shared between the two girls could only be described as duplicated. While their loving smiles spoke ‘good luck’, their eyes held nothing but determination. With one final squeeze to (Y/n)’s hand, Caitlin weaved back through the tables and took her seat.
Truthfully, (Y/n) couldn’t give a damn about the speech that Cathy Engelbert was reading. The probably scripted words only added to the weight on her heart as she awaited her next team assignment. Despite the dragging minutes, she kept up a facade of interest for the camera.
“And now, we don’t have to wait any longer because the pick is in!”
Those words flipped a switch in (Y/n)’s mind, her senses sharpening as Cathy Engelbert took the stage, her heels clicking against the polished floor. Each click echoed through the room, a metronome counting down to the pivotal moment. The air was thick with tension, electric and charged, every breath laden with anticipation.
The moment drew closer and closer.
“With the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Indiana Fever select…”
The words hung in the air, estatic with possibility. Everyone held their breath as the selection came down to two athletes. (Y/n) glanced over to Caitlin’s table, finding her already searching for her eyes.
“Caitlin Clark, University of Iowa!”
Time seemed to stand still for a moment, the room erupting in chaos as the crowd roared in ecstasy. (Y/n)’s heart thundered in her chest, adrenaline coursing through her veins. It was a rush, overwhelming and intoxicating.
With her eyes still locked onto Caitlin’s, she broke into a blinding smile, Caitlin mirroring her. In that moment, everything else faded into the background, the world narrowing down to just the two of them.
(Y/n) stood, her heart pounding, her pulse thrumming in her ears. Every step toward Caitlin felt like an eternity, the ground solid beneath her feet. Suspense hung in the air like a heavy fog, thick and suffocating.
With a barely contained laugh, she tumbled into Caitlin’s embrace, the world spinning around them. Nothing else mattered but the warmth of Caitlin’s arms around her, the sound of their shared laughter drowning out the noise of the crowd.
“You did it. You deserve this, Caitlin,” (Y/n) spoke, her voice ringing clear over the clamour of the crowd. Her words were a declaration, a testament to Caitlin’s strength and resilience. Her final words slipped out in a hush, “I love you.”
Amidst the cacophony of noise and celebration, Caitlin held onto (Y/n) as if she were the anchor in a tempest. Each beat of her heart reverberated with the pulse of the crowd, her senses heightened by the rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins. It was a moment suspended in time, a fleeting eternity of shared joy and boundless emotion.
As Caitlin finally released her grip, (Y/n) felt a bittersweet pang in her chest. Her heart swelled with pride for her friend, yet beneath the surface, a whirlwind of conflicting emotions threatened to overwhelm her. In another time, her stomach might have plummeted, her throat constricted by the weight of unshed tears. But now, amidst the chaos of the draft, she found only a sense of serene acceptance.
Her gaze lingered on Caitlin, the embodiment of success and possibility, as she stood adorned in her Indiana Fever jersey. In that moment, (Y/n) glimpsed the future unfolding before her, a future that held boundless potential and untold promise.
Returning to her own table, (Y/n) was met with sympathetic glances and unspoken assumptions. But she brushed them aside with a knowing smile, the genuine ecstasy of Caitlin's triumph shining through her features. For in that moment, she understood that second place held no sting, no bitterness. Caitlin's victory was her own.
The room buzzed with anticipation as the attention shifted to the second pick of the night, belonging to the LA Sparks. (Y/n)'s heart raced with a mix of nerves and excitement. She couldn't help but steal glances at Caitlin, who was now enveloped in the embrace of her family, her smile radiant with joy.
As the tension mounted, (Y/n)'s mind raced back to all the years of hard work and putting up with undeserved bullshit. She remembered the countless hours spent on the court, the sacrifices made, and the people she overcame. It had all led to this, the culmination of a lifelong dream.
But amidst the anticipation, there was a sense of contentment that washed over her. She had already achieved so much, and seeing Caitlin's success only fueled her determination. Her focus remained unwavering, her heart filled with pride for her lover.
And then, it happened.
"With the second pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the LA Sparks select... (Y/n) (L/n)!"
The words echoed through the room, but Mayari hardly registered them at first. It was as if time stood still, her mind unable to comprehend the magnitude of what had just been announced.
But then, reality crashed over her like a wave. The cheers of the crowd filled her ears, and she felt a surge of emotion welling up inside her. The room seemed to spin, the lights blurring into a dazzling array of colours as she stood, her legs trembling with a mix of exhilaration and disbelief. The warmth of the moment enveloped her, and with every beat of her heart, she felt the weight of everything she had worked for lifting off her shoulders.
Just then, amidst the applause of the crowd, she heard melodic notes of her name being called out.
Suddenly, (Y/n)’s world tilted on its axis as she was swept up into Caitlin’s embrace. Their gazes locked smiles mirroring one another in joyous ecstasy. The sounds of the cheering crowd seemed to fade, replaced by the pounding of her own heart and the warmth of Caitlin's arms around her.
"I love you too," Caitlin whispered, her voice barely audible over the roar of the crowd.
(Y/n) felt her heart swell, her emotions threatening to overflow. They rested their foreheads against each other, their breaths mingling as they shared the profound intimacy of the moment. It was as if the world had fallen away, leaving just the two of them in their shared victory.
The fans in the crowd went wild, their cheers and applause creating a wave of sound that crashed over the two girls. Cameras flashed, capturing the raw emotion etched on their faces. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated joy, one that neither of them would ever forget.
As they finally pulled apart, (Y/n) felt a laugh bubble out of her throat, the sound drawing an admirable expression from the brunette. She turned to face the stage, her heart pounding with excitement and anticipation. This was it—the moment she had dreamed of for so long.
Taking a deep breath, (Y/n) made her way to the stage, the cheers of the crowd propelling her forward. She felt the warmth of their support, the love and pride radiating from every corner of the room. This was her moment, a testament to all the hard work, the sacrifices, and the unwavering determination that had brought her here.
As she stepped onto the stage to accept her LA Sparks jersey, she glanced back at Caitlin, who was watching her with a look of pure, unadulterated pride. (Y/n) knew, in that moment, that they had both achieved something extraordinary and that this was just the beginning of their journey.
With the weight of the jersey in her hands and the future spread out before her like a vast, open sky, she felt a profound sense of peace and accomplishment. The journey had been long and arduous, filled with moments of doubt and resilience, but standing there under the bright lights, she knew it had all been worth it.
As she held up the jersey, a symbol of her new beginning, her eyes swept across the sea of faces, each one a blur of colors and emotions. The lights above her were warm, casting a golden glow that bathed the room in a surreal, dreamlike quality.
Her gaze found Paige amidst the cheering crowd. Paige's smile was radiant, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, her expression a blend of pride and a quiet acknowledgment of their shared past. The sounds of applause and cheers seemed to fade into the background, replaced by the rhythmic thudding of (Y/n)'s heart. The moment hung in the air, thick with unspoken words, a silent reconciliation and mutual respect woven between them.
(Y/n)'s heart swelled, a rush of warmth spreading through her chest, filling her with a deep sense of closure and peace. She returned Paige's smile, a genuine and heartfelt gesture, before her gaze naturally found its way back to Caitlin. Caitlin's eyes sparkled with joy, her love and pride shining brightly, grounding (Y/n) in the whirlwind of emotions surrounding her.
Caitlin's eyes were bright with joy and love, reflecting everything (Y/n) felt in that moment. The applause of the crowd seemed to fade into the background as they shared a private, intimate moment amidst the public celebration. Caitlin, in all her seriousness, blew (Y/n) a kiss, a tender gesture that drew a smile out from her. (Y/n), with a smile, reached out as if to catch it and then graciously tucked it into her pocket.
As she stood there, the weight of her journey lifted, she knew this was the beginning of a new chapter. With Caitlin's silent encouragement echoing in her mind, she felt ready to embrace whatever came next. The next step would be difficult, but it was hers to shape, and she would no longer be alone.

Not Easily Broken Chapter 2
Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader
Summary: Natasha and Reader go through a tragic divorce
Masterlist | General Masterlist
2/10
Note: Yes, it's getting finished besties
W/c: 3.8k
You’re late. You’re really late. Not even just an ‘oh I got stuck in traffic I’ll be there late”. You’re the “I hope my daughter doesn’t hate me and harbor those feelings the rest of her life late.” As you bob and weave through traffic in your BMW SUV you curse to yourself. You feel stupid. Very stupid. There’s no way you can ever make up for this but you can certainly try to.
As you pull onto the street of what was once your home you squint just a little to see how many people are still there. You can see the cars lining the street start to dissipate as you pull into the driveway. Natasha is on the porch talking to one of the people you recognize from Emma’s dance class. She spots you, rolling her eyes and angling herself, so you’re not in her vision. Parking the car, you look over to the passenger’s seat where Emma’s gift is wrapped in yellow paper (her favorite color) and a bright pink bow. You turn the car off with a sigh. You really did it this time. You unbuckle your seatbelt and reach over to grab the present and exit. You walk slowly up the pathway marveling at all of the decorations that Natasha has put up for Emma’s fifth birthday.
Five. Your baby girl is five and you’ve missed her birthday party. One Natasha had gracefully invited you to. Briefly, your mind flashes back to the mornings where you and Natasha would wake the little girl up with breakfast in bed. Mini pancakes, strawberries, her favorite juice. You would go the whole nine yards for her. Now you’ve done everything but that. You reach the edge of the steps with a small wave to Natasha’s guests.
“Kerry, Doug, nice to see you again.” You give them a tight smile hoping to appear calm even though don’t feel that way.
“I’ll call you,” Natasha says bidding them goodbye. She doesn’t speak until they’re down the path and in their car. She trails her eyes over to you still in your work clothes with an apologetic look on your face. “Unbelievable.” She scoffs turning to go inside the house. You follow after her with an apology at the tip of your tongue. She starts collecting the trash she sees around the living room.
“I’m sorry, I got sidetracked at work,” You begin.
“You don’t have to apologize to me.” She shrugs. Pushing her hair behind her ear she glances at you. “I’m not the one turning five and I’m not your wife.” Something about the last part of that statement strikes you right in the heart. The divorce has been finalized for eight months now. Eight months and you’ve barely seen each other. Only during pickups and drop-offs. Even then you barely speak. Hearing her voice is...nice. Even if she is angry with you.
“I know but I’m really making an ass of myself,” You shake your head. “Where is she?”
“Backyard,” She answers.
“She must hate me,” You mutter more to yourself.
“She doesn’t hate you,” Natasha walks to the kitchen and again you follow. “She’s just really confused on why her Mommy said she would be here and wasn’t.” She gives another wave to one of the last guests and they trickle out of the house.
“Yeah,” You say following closely behind her. She stuffs the trash into the bin carefully.
As she stands to her full height you take a second to look at her. She’s gorgeous. Her hair flows behind her back longer than she’s ever let herself allow it to. Her eyes are just as expressive and beautiful. God, you’ve missed her.
You open your mouth to speak but you’re interrupted when a familiar figure steps into view. Richard Matthews. An agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Natasha’s new partner. He accompanies the Avengers on missions every now and again. You’re not exactly sure why but he’s always paired up with Natasha on missions and it never really bothered you until now.
“Everything’s all set with the kiddos,” Richard says to her. He completely ignores you and you can’t really tell if that’s intentional. The way he steps into Natasha’s space makes you think they’re closer than she’s letting on. “Emma’s having a blast with the new American doll I got. Says she’s gonna sleep with it tonight.” He smiles down at Natasha. “Will you be okay here? Ryan helped me with a lot of the backyard so there’s not much else to clean.”
“Yeah, I got it.” Natasha nods glancing over at you. She can see how uncomfortable Richard makes you feel. “Thank you, Richard.” She raises her hand to rest lightly on his bicep. You narrow your eyes. Clearing your throat they both look towards you.
“Oh, y/n, I didn’t see you there.” Richard feigns innocence.
“I’m sure you didn’t, Dick.” You say with every ounce of disdain. You can see Natasha’s lips quirk in amusement but she quickly hides it.
“Well, I’m gonna go.” He says before giving her a kiss on the cheek. He lingers before walking past you towards the front door. You two don’t break eye contact until he’s gone.
“That guy is a real tool,” You roll your eyes.
“He’s nice and he’s a part of the team.” Natasha shrugs. She steps over to the sink to do the dishes giving you the idea that this entire conversation is over. You want to ask her if she’s seeing him. If he’s more than just her partner. You’re not entitled to any of those answers and Natasha won’t be afraid to tell you.
“I’m just gonna go,” You wave the gift in your hand heading towards the back door. Once you’re out there you finally exhale. From the porch, you can see the giant pink bounce castle that both of your children are currently playing in. You go down the steps content to watch them for a moment. It’s Ryan who spots you first. Before all of this, he would have scrambled out of the bounce house to meet you halfway. Instead, he just stands there.
“Mommy!” Emma breaks you from your trance flopping onto her bottom. She slides out of the bounce house to run into your arms. You catch her twirling around in your arms. “You came!”
“I did, baby girl.” You kiss both of her cheeks.
“You missed my party though,” She reminds you.
“I know, Mommy’s so sorry,”
“It’s okay,” Emma forgives you. She wraps her arms tightly around your neck again.
“I got you something,” You jiggle the box in your hand. She leans back to inspect it her eyes widening. “Let’s go ahead and open it.” You let her down to stand on her own two feet. She takes your hand dragging you over to the picnic table on the other side of the yard. She’s small so it takes her a minute to sit correctly but when she does she beams up at you. Her socked feet swing underneath the table as she waits for you to hand her the present. You place it in front of her and take your spot next to her. She doesn’t hesitate to rip into the paper tossing the bow somewhere in the grass behind her. You can hear the sound of someone sliding out of the bounce house and you look over to see Ryan stepping closer.
“Hey bud,” You greet.
“Hi,” He says softly. You raise an arm beckoning him over to come to give you a hug. He presses himself against you as you hold him close. “I missed you.” He mumbles into your neck. Through this entire divorce, your relationship with him has been strained. Everything has been strained.
“I missed you too.” You whisper back. You give him a soothing kiss on his head. He doesn’t let you go as you both watch Emma to see her reaction.
“Wow!” She says pulling the last pieces of paper from the gift. She turns the box over and over in her hands. “I got a watch!” It’s not some fancy watch. You’re not that out of touch with reality. It’s an Apple watch. The most she can do on the thing is take pictures, use the phone features, and use a calculator. She loves it all the same as she hugs the box to her. After hearing what Richard got her you were apprehensive about it being enough. Sitting here watching her cherish this gift you know you picked correctly. “Can I call you on it?” You nod. “Every night?” You nod again. “Cool!” She cheers.
There’s a squeak coming from the back door and you know Natasha has come to the back porch.
“Can I go show Mama?” She asks you.
“Go, show her.” She turns from the picnic table rushing over to Natasha to show off her cool new present. Natasha looks down at the box and then back to you with a raise of her brow. She doesn’t share in Emma’s excitement but she tells the girl how cool it is.
“How are you doing?” You turn your focus to Ryan. He shrugs. “You sure?” He nods silently.
“Ryan, come on, it’s almost bedtime,” Natasha says. “I want to check your backpack before the night is over.” She ushers Emma inside.
“Guess we better go and check those backpacks.” You say rising to your feet. Ryan clasps your hand in his and you both move to walk inside of the house. It’s there Natasha is setting up Emma’s watch. “Patience, Printsessa.” Natasha scolds lightly. She presses a few buttons on the screen.
“Can Mommy stay for bath time?” Emma asks innocently. Your eyes fly to Natasha’s. You haven’t done that in a while.
“Please?” Ryan joins in. Natasha’s resolve is broken as she gives a meek “yes.” The children cheer in unison.
Guess you’re staying for bedtime.
This takes almost two hours to get both children through their nightly routine. Emma is more reluctant to fall asleep as she doesn’t want to miss you leaving. You tuck her into bed with a kiss and a promise to see her again soon. She pulls the American girl doll under the covers with her. You wait for her to fall asleep before leaving her room. Ryan is next and he’s much easier. He climbs into bed all on his own with his back turned to you. He’s conflicted and you being here is not making it easy on him. You sit on the bed beside him. You press a kiss to the back of his head.
“I love you,” You say before reaching over to turn off his lamp. You exit his room leaving his door cracked. You amble down the hallway to the stairs. You find Natasha in the front room gathering all of Emma’s new presents that she would put into their proper place later.
“Thanks for letting me stay to tell them goodnight,” You say awkwardly.
“Don’t mention it,” She dismisses tossing the last of the toys into a pile. The house is pretty much clean now save for the leftovers she has to put away. She’s not kicking you out as you follow her down the same path into the kitchen.
“Natasha,” You begin. stopping yourself when you realize you don’t really have anything to say. “Thank you for inviting me. I know you didn’t have to do that. I feel like a jerk. Especially with how things have been going.”
“How have things been going?” Natasha busies herself with pushing the leftovers into whatever Tupperware they can fit into. She curses turning to look for a lid for this particular bowl. “Where is it?” She searches.
“Bottom right cabinet,” You inform her. She pauses before moving over to search the cabinet you gave her. She finds what she is looking for and turns back to the food.
“Things have been going good.” You continue your earlier conversation. “Work is work. My mom is doing well. She sends her love. I can’t complain.” You watch her stuff the fridge full.
“Well I’m glad things are going well for one of us,” She slams the door of the fridge a bit harder than intended. “Not all of us are able to abandon our motherly duties.”
“Natasha, I’m trying my best here.” You say immediately knowing what she means.
“That’s what pisses me off the most,” She says exasperatedly. “They’re so good with you just trying. They don’t care how many times you mess up. They don’t care if you don’t do something. They don’t care if you’re having a bad day and you’re doing everything to make them happy. They don’t care if you don’t show up for their goddamn birthdays but it’s me that get’s the brunt of the madness and the anger.” She slams her hands against the counter. Running her hand through her hair, she shakes her head. “Do you know Ryan got into a fight at school the other day? He’s been...angry these days. I’m considering seeing a therapist with them.” She nods to herself. “Emma’s been giving me hell too. I wouldn’t allow her to watch tv one night because I dislike them having so much free time. She threw a tantrum.” She swallows thickly. “She told me, she told me she hates me and that she wishes she could come live with you.” The unshed tears in her eyes break your heart into a thousand pieces. “So, yes trying your best doesn’t really fly with me.”
“Natasha, I’m,” There’s no amount of apologizing that could take that hurt from her. “I’ll talk to them. I’ll take them out for dinner and we can talk.”
Natasha sighs. She knows this isn’t something that can be fixed with a simple talk. She lets her tears fall freely. You hate that this is what you’ve done to your family. Stepping around the counter you reach out to her. It’s reminiscent of that night all those months ago when you left. All you want to do is make it better. Make her feel better. Your emotions are conflicting as you bring your fingers up to caress her cheek. She stands stock-still closing her eyes at your touch. You rub your thumbs across her cheeks clearing away the tear tracks.
“I’m sorry,” You say and she lets out a sob.
“You’re not sorry,” She shakes her head.
“No, Natasha, I’m sorry,” You say firmly. You’re hoping she can hear the sincerity in your voice. She opens her eyes searching your face for a lie. You get lost in the forest of her eyes. So trusting and loving even with all of the pain you’ve brought your family.
You don’t know who makes the move first. Your lips meet tentatively. There’s a hint of familiarity that comes from nine years of marriage. The kiss is soft and sweet. Her lips glide over yours in a slow, languid motion. It’s not lacking in passion. Quite the opposite actually. Her mouth is hot and wet and hungry for you as your tongues meet. Taking in her flavor, you moan. She tastes like leftover cake with a hint of toothpaste. You pull back slightly to suck her bottom lip into your mouth. You nip it gently and the moan it elicits from Natasha only spurs you on. Her arms come up to wrap around your neck pulling you closer as you push her gently towards the counter. Her back is pressed against it as you kiss her harder. You spend a few more moments wrapped up in each other. Your hands roam her body tracing over every curve.
The need for air becomes too great as you pull away to trail kisses down her neck. You lick at her pulse point before giving it a soft bite. She moans a bit louder tensing under you. You’re moving fast and hurried as you push her tank top over her breast. You move the cup of her bra to expose her nipple taking the rosy bud between your lips. You give it a hard suck and she gasps loudly. Her hands push your head closer to her as you swipe your tongue across her nipple. Your right-hand slides down to trace the front of her jeans.
“Please,” She says in her lust-filled haze. You flick the button of her pants open skirting your fingers under the waistband of her underwear. She’s wet. So wet. You slide your fingers through her folds collecting her wetness. On one particular slide, you bump her clit causing her hips to jump. You trace her opening and she’s panting now. When your fingers slip inside of her she lets out a yelp. You push until you’re at the second knuckle. You can hear the sound of her arousal and it is music to your ears. Natasha has always been loud during sex and this is no exception. You abandon her breasts to return your lips to hers.
“Shh, baby, you don’t want to wake them,” You whisper into her ear. She nods shakily as she tries to fuck herself on your fingers. You thrust harder sending her reeling as she reaches blindly behind her for the counter. “Good girl,” She flutters around your fingers, and god damn you want to stay like this forever.
“Harder,” Her breath is airy and hurried. She’s close. You listen thrusting into her harder, faster, deeper. Her brows are knit together as she chases her orgasm. You can feel the way she tightens around your fingers.
“He doesn’t fuck you like this does he?” You breathe close to her ear. “Doesn’t take care of you like I do,” The moment is over faster than you know it. Suddenly Natasha is pulling away and pushing you away from her. It’s like a bucket of ice-cold water has been dumped on you as she takes a huge step away. She’s buttoning her jeans and wiping at her mouth as you try to catch your breath. “What? What happened?”
“You can’t be serious?” She says. “You think I’m fucking him?”
“Natasha,” You drop your hands to your sides. She pushes her shirt down over her breast and you immediately miss your closeness.
“No, no, you cannot be serious.” Natasha turns to catch her breath. “You don’t have the right,”
“Fuck, I didn’t mean to assume. He was close to you, kissed you.”
“On the cheek,” She whips her head to look at you. “He comes over sometimes to help with the kids. They like him. That’s not any of your business if I was fucking him or not by the way. You lost that when you served me with the divorce papers.”
A wave of anger washes over you. Swiping your hand across the counter you cause all of the glasses she dried earlier to crash to the ground.
“Fuck,” You yell. The glass resting at your feet satisfies you. It’s a representation of how you’re feeling right now. Natasha jumps back avoiding the glass from touching her. She looks down at the mess in surprise before looking back at you. You both wait in anticipation for one of the kids to come down. They don’t.
You rush out of the back door to sit on the steps. You bend so your head is between your knees. The blood rushes there and you cough hoping to catch your breath. The backdoor creaks. A comforting hand is placed upon your back as Natasha comes to sit next to you.
“Breathe, y/n.” She hums. You’re having a panic attack. She sits with you so patiently as your breathing becomes normal again.
“I’m not good for them,” You say. “I’m just like him.” You whisper brokenly.
“No, y/n, you’re not.” Natasha lifts your chin to look at her. “You’re not.”
“But you said-”
“I know what I said,” Natasha interrupts. “You’re nothing like him. I only wanted to hurt you as much as you hurt me.” The admission sits between the two of you.
“Fuck,”
She returns her hand to her lap.
“I can’t…” You struggle. “It wasn’t making sense. Any of it. It doesn’t make sense. One minute we were happy and the next we weren’t. We became too much. I couldn’t make you happy anymore. Emma told me during her bath that she hears you crying at night when you think she’s asleep. I never meant to do any of this. I never meant it, Tasha.” You cry. You mean it. You ran. You did what you do best and ran.
“I know,” She says solemnly. “You never asked me if I was happy.” You lift your head to look at her questioningly. “You said you couldn’t make me happy anymore but you never asked me. You never ask you just assume. I’ve always been happy with you. Back during our days in the tower, when we got married, when we were pregnant with Ryan.” She names. “Even when we weren’t having sex and not communicating and fighting all of the time. I never once thought that we would end.” You’re surprised by that. All this time you thought you were doing the right thing for everyone and now you don’t know if it was the right thing at all. “Couples have rough patches. Tony and Pepper did. Thor and Jane. Clint and Laura. They got through it. I thought we could too. When you handed me those papers -- my entire world stopped, y/n. I thought there was something wrong with me. I thought maybe you found someone else. I thought so many things. But that I didn’t see coming.”
“I’m sorry,” It’s your turn to cry now. “I didn’t want this.” You shake your head. “I fucked up.” You say.
“Is this because you think I’m sleeping with someone else?”
“Partly,” You admit. “I have had some time to think and I just… I thought I was doing what’s best for us. You’re right I didn’t ask you. I assumed. I pulled away. I’m so sorry, Natasha. I never stopped loving you or wanting you. Even though all of that.” Natasha’s breath hitches through your admission.
“Then why?” She asks. “Why did you leave me?”
You don’t have a single answer. “I thought you were better off without me.”
“How could you ever think that?” She asks. You don’t have an answer for her.
“I have to leave in the morning,” You say. The moment is broken and though Natasha thought you were getting somewhere it’s clear you haven’t. She moves to stand and you catch her wrist. “Come with me. It’s a week in Florida. Come with me. You and the kids.”
“Y/n, we can’t just leave in the morning.” She says. “The kids have school and I have work.” You deflate. Of course not. You shouldn’t have asked. “But we could meet you there Friday night? Gives us time to pack and get everything in order with their teachers.” She’s giving you a chance. You stand to look at her. “The moment we come back we’re in therapy. All of us.”
“Yes, yes, of course.” You promise.
“Don’t break my heart again,” She begs quietly. “I don’t think I’ll survive this time.”
“I won’t.” You pull her into your arms. Standing here with her you wonder how you ever thought you could be without her.
