Gojo can't stop thinking about fucking Geto's girl
MDNI- Explicit Yandere Gojo jerks off thinking about you, Geto's girlfriend, yandere Suguru decides he'll share you once. Warnings: (yandere Geto and Gojo vibes, oral sex -f recieving, weed smoking, them being slutty lmao)
Part One Part Two
Part Three
Suguru Geto is inhaling a joint, blowing the smoke out as Satoru hungrily devours you with his azure gaze, you're now just in a lacy black bra and panties, he drinks in every bit of your curves, your lines, your skin. Fuck you're perfect and Suguru just gets to have you, all to himself!? That's just not going to work, he'll have you see by the time he's done with you.
How many nights has he imagined being between your thighs?
Suguru hands you the joint now, and you take it carefully, inhaling lightly looking at Satoru then. "Blow it in his mouth, Princess."
You look a little shy, aren't you cute? You nervously take another hit, stepping up to him, and he leans down, cupping the back of your neck, your lips meeting. And when your lips met in that car, it took everything for Satoru not to devour you then, he's sure by the end of this Suguru may kill him.
Worth it though.
You're blowing weed smoke into his mouth, and he's sucking it down his throat, feeling it warm and foggy, expanding into his lungs. He leans back, exhaling, and you exhale too, before running your hands on his dress shirt, slowly. He notices your own gaze drinking him in, your beautiful eyes dilating from the hit, from desire, you're licking your lip, tempting him to no end.
"So, we doing a threesome or you just letting me fuck her?" Satoru asks, and Suguru chuckles again, taking the joint back and inhaling deep, coming to stand behind you, kissing down your neck, down your shoulder. Satoru pictures his lips there, his lips everywhere, stepping in front of you, pressing you between them both.
"How about you fuck her, I'll tell you what she likes, then we'll do one if you can make her cum enough." Suguru brushes your hair back now, exposing your delicate collar bone, more of your pretty breasts, Satoru is throbbing now.
He smirks. "If I can? You challenging me, Sugu?"
"Maybe I am." He says with a glint in his eyes, and now Satoru is trailing a hand down your cheek, tilting your chin up, sliding his other across the side of your breast, making you cry out so sexy. He watches your nipples perk up in your bra.
"I'll make her cum so much she'll be crying." Satoru says then, and your breath catches at his tone, Suguru's big hands are trailing down your body, down your back, pressing into the dimples above your ass, making your breath catch.
"She's pretty when she cries." Suguru whispers, putting his joint out now, unsnapping your bra then, letting it fall to the floor, for Satoru's hungry azure gaze to drink you in, his snowy lashes lowering, full lips parted.
"Oh fuck, even more perfect in person." Satoru's gripping your breasts, as you're pressed between both of them, the familiar hands of Suguru on your waist, the new hands of Satoru squishing your breasts now. You cry out, head falling to the side for Suguru's kisses, then Satoru is kissing you once more, devouring your lips.
"Feel how wet she is, Satoru." Suguru says, and you know then they've done this before, they bounce off each other like a yin and yang, Suguru is running circles on your clit, the damp panties clinging to your pussy lips. You're shifting, heart pounding in your ears. "Want Satoru to touch you, princess?"
You nod weakly.
"Use your words." They say, simultaneously, your moth drops open, while Satoru is slipping your panties down his thighs.
"You two are ridiculous. Mmm!" Suguru is rubbing circles on your clit, Satoru has slid a finger in your soppy entrance. You're clinging to Satoru's strong arms, leaning back on Suguru's strong body.
"Is she talking shit, Sugu?" Satoru huffs, as you weakly whine out, he's fucking into you so good with that long finger. "Fuck, you're so wet baby."
"Stupid wet. Slutty little pussy." Suguru huffs those words now, and they do nothing but make you wetter.
"You're both slutty." You whisper, earning their deep chuckles, both sets of hands all over every inch of you they can touch, big hands taking over your waist, your breasts, while their other hands focus on your pussy. It's as if they telepathically know where to press, where to push, to make you a dripping mess. "Fuck."
"Lemme taste her."
"You'll get addicted." Suguru warns, Satoru slides his fingers out, sucking you off him now, he moans as his cheeks hollow, Suguru shoves his two fingers in now, and you're gushing down them.
"Oh my fuck... Let me eat her out." He whispers, mad look in his eyes now, so intense it's difficult to look at, they're both so all over you it's hard to breathe, their scents mixing with the sweet arousal in the room.
"Come on, Princess. Be a good girl for him?" You nod shyly now, how can you not be a little shy when your gorgeous boyfriend and his gorgeous best friend want to share you. Suguru sits down on the couch now, re lighting up his joint, as Satoru comes to spread your thighs, and he hands it to Satoru with a smirk.
"You're not really gonna blow smoke on it!" You say with wide eyes, and they laugh at you again, like you're their little toy.
"Just sit back, pretty." Satoru says, Suguru has your thighs held up, wrapping an arm around your waist and gripping a breast, Satoru takes a deep hit, sucking up thick smoke, then he's holding your puffy lips apart, blowing that smoke on your pussy, you gasp at the insane sensations, shaking your thighs, cumming just from that, and Satoru moans as he watches you. "Fuck you're pretty."
"Beautiful, isn't she." Suguru agrees, taking the joint back, another hit in his lungs, he grips your chin and blows in your mouth, you suck in the hit, making you lightheaded and fuzzy, then Satoru Gojo's flicking his wet tongue on your clit.
"Mmm!" You cry out as Suguru's sliding his tongue in and out of your mouth, pinching your nipple, and Satoru's lavishing your little clit, which twitches under the caress. Suguru turns your face gently, one of your hands are gripping Satoru's silky white hair, the other clutching Suguru's thigh.
"Look how much he loves your pussy, hmm?" Suguru says, his words tickling your ear, you're soaking Satoru's pretty face, he is looking at you with those insane eyes, lapping you up, until you're about to cum again, your pussy drooling all over. He's drinking you up, his big hands pressing into your hips, holding you there. Your head falls back, eyes fluttering shit, feeling so good you can't take it.
"Oh my... f-fuck!" You scream out, cumming all over Satoru again, pussy clenching around nothing, arousal dripping down Suguru's thighs and Satoru's chin. He peeks up at you, smirking, his chin covered in you, licking his lips as he stares at you from between your thighs.
"I think she likes you, Satoru, even if you're a psycho." Suguru says, kissing down your neck, biting hard, causing pain to prick you, but it only enhances how good you fucking feel, letting out a hoarse moan.
"Suguru, you act as if you didn't stalk her on IG first." You blink a bit, looking at Suguru, who's glaring.
"Fuck you, Satoru. No more. My turn." They switch places, now Satoru is behind you, holding your thighs up, hand wrapping your throat. "You can't choke her if she doesn't want."
"Wait, you both stalk me!?" You demand, they just laugh softly, then Suguru's tongue ring is hitting your clit, and Satoru's whispering in your ear, his long fingers pressing against your throat.
"Just sit here and be pretty. Pretty neck, want me to choke you?" He asks, you want to be affronted, want to tell him he's a dick, and Suguru's flicking his tongue on your clit again, violet eyes glittering. But you can't stand it, you feel too fucking good, so you just nod weakly, and Satoru moans softly. "Good Girl, we're gonna have so much fun with you."
Your heart is pounding in your ears when Satoru's hand tightens on your throat, and Suguru's fingers slip in you, you wonder what you're in for.
Disclaimer I guess- Yandere behavior isn't cool IRL, just in fiction with Gojo and Geto lmaoo <3

I make my grand return! But I also wanted to try something different from what I normally do and expand my horizons (so to speak), I hope you all enjoy 😁
Meeting Each Other
Hazbin Hotel & Child!Reader
WARNING: Themes of abuse are present in Angel Dust’s scenario, also swearing in his, I did my best to keep the characters in character but there may be some OOC moments, (if there’s any warnings I miss but should add please let me know)
(Set before the events of the show)
Hazbin Hotel:
Charlie and Vaggie
You peek out from the flaming wreckage you used as cover to hide, seeing the coast is clear you carefully step out of where you’re hiding and roam the corpse riddled streets. It reeked of death, not exactly an unfamiliar scent but not a pleasant one either. You hear something shuffle, or maybe someone? You quickly turn around but don’t see anything, now paranoia starts to creep in making you wonder if you may have exposed yourself too soon and any moment an exorcist will swoop down and finish you off. To your utter surprise that’s actually not the case when you see to woman conversing as they strolled down the street, it was so odd to you how casual they looked doing it or maybe you were just getting too used to all the violence that happened on the daily that it struck you as odd. Either way your curiosity gets the better of you and you try to sneak closer without being noticed to see what they were talking about.
“… idea… to work.” You just barely catch the one in the suit say. An idea? Wonder what it could be? You sneak closer.
“…I know… rlie, but try not... aren’t exactly going to…” You hear the one with the X over her eye say, less enthusiastic then the one in the suit. Who’s going to what? You needed to get just a little closer and… you slip and fall. The girl with the X over her eye immediately wipes around, pulling out an angelic spear, with the fire still burning around you she, for just a brief moment, looked like an exorcist ready to strike you. That was enough motivation for you to shuffle back fearfully, as you do her angered expression drops to one of guilt?
“Hello.” You jump a little at the voice, not noticing the lady in the suit had approached you. “Are you lost my little friend?” She asks. You don’t say anything, you’re not sure what to say so you just kinda stare her down. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m Charlie, it’s nice to meet you.” Charlie gives you the warmest smile you’ve ever seen as she holds her hand out to you. You weren’t sure you could trust this supposedly kind gesture of hers so instead you pick yourself up off the ground and give a small nod of acknowledgment, which she still seemed extremely happy about.
“Maybe we should go, you know before their parent? Parents? Whoever might be looking for them comes along. Besides, the kid doesn’t look like they’re much for conversation.” The X eyed one says rather bluntly.
“Or… this could be the perfect opportunity to find our first attendants!” Charlie bounces excitedly before turning back to you. “So you know me. And this amazing person is my girlfriend Vaggie.” She introduces, to which Vaggie gives a bit of an awkward wave.
“I don’t.” You finally find your voice to speak. Vaggie raises a slightly confused eyebrow while Charlie looked at you curiously.
“Don’t what?” She now kneels down to your level.
“She said something about a parent coming to look for me.” You point to Vaggie. “But I don’t have anyone looking after me, even when I was alive no one really did.” You say, crossing your arms uncomfortably. Charlie looked like she was about to cry after hearing that and the next thing you know you’re being scooped up in her arms, surprising you.
“Oh Vaggie! Can we keep them! Please?” She asks, giving big puppy dog eyes.
“Charlie…” Vaggie starts looking at your confused self. “I don’t know… maybe they should decide that for themselves.” She reasons. Charlie holds you out at arms length a less enthused and more gentle smile on her face this time.
“Well? What do you think?”
“Umm…” You stare a bit stunned by all this, not entirely sure how to process everything. You’ve been alone for so long, barely trusting people for your own safety and while part of you wanted to run here and now another was telling you to just give this a chance. “I… I wouldn’t mind… I guess.” You mumble out sheepishly. Charlie bounces around happily with you still in her arms, something you realize you’re probably going to have to get used to, while you catch a faint smile on Vaggie’s face.
“Alright. Well, if you’re staying with us, can we at least get your name kid?” She asks.
“Oh, ummm, the name’s (y/n).” You tell her, she gives you a nod and with some convincing to finally get Charlie to put you down the three of you head off to this hotel Charlie won’t stop talking about.
Angel Dust
“Get back here you little shit!!” You dash away from the Sinners chasing you, mentally slapping yourself for being a little too reckless. You couldn’t help it, the items they had looked so shiny. Having been able to manage some distance between them you quickly skid into a rather empty alleyway to hide. Taking a moment to catch your breath beside a dumpster when a side door slams open, you press yourself against said dumpster and blend in with the shadows around you. You watch as someone is literally thrown out the door another figure peering down at them.
“You think this is some fucking joke! Am I a fucking joke to you Anthony!?” The one peering out the doorway hisses.
“No, no I-I never… I would never-” The other figure sounded panicked, quickly being cut off again by the first.
“Enough! We’ll discuss this later, once we get this mess cleaned up.” With that they slam the door. You sneak a bit closer getting a good look at whoever had been left in the alley with you, their spidery features struck you as familiar, remembering some of those posters you’d see around the city promoting some adult film with a one Angel Dust. And if that’s the case and if he was so popular then he must have some cash on him, ripe for your sticky fingers to grab. This motivation in mind gets you shuffling closer staying as close to the shadows as possible to avoid detection, now all you had to do was reach over and…
“Who the fuck!!” You’re suddenly grabbed by the arm and flung to the ground, now staring up at the angry spider. “The hell? What’s a kid like you doing here?” He still looks mad just with some confusion added to the mix.
“You mean in hell, or just in general?” You question back shoving him back a bit so you could sit up.
“Don’t play cheeky with me kid, you was trying to steal from me, weren’t ya?” He narrows his eyes accusingly at you.
“Trying would imply I didn’t get anything.” You say slyly, holding up a bag of drugs. He immediately snatches it back from you.
“How the fuck did you do that!?” He seemed genuinely surprised you took something without his noticing. You shrug casually in response.
“Oi! Is someone there?!” You freeze when you realize your little stunt cost you time to get away from the Sinners you were running from. Without much time, or thought you scramble into the dumpster just hoping they didn’t see you. The footsteps thump closer and closer, halting right by your hiding spot.
“Well well, if it ain’t the beauty of the Angel Dust themselves.” Shit, you forgot Angel Dust was right there, stupid!
“It is, and what can I do for such strong capable folk like yourselves?” You’re gonna be ratted out for sure.
“Uhh- *ahem* Right, we’s looking for a kid, about yay big and kind of stupid. Like a real piece of shit.” Rude much, if anything they’re the stupid ones.
“Is that so? And what exactly are ya gonna do when you catch them?”
“Oh nothing really, we’s just gonna teach them a lesson, right boys.” A small cheer of “yeah’s” ring from the group. This was it, you were doomed and all because you just-
“I think I saw ‘em run that way and turned left.” You sit there stunned as the footsteps disappear into the distance, unsure if what just happened really just happened. “Coast is clear kid, you can come out of there, hehe cum.” He chuckles at his own unintentional joke. Slowly you peek out from the dumpster looking around to be extra sure that gang was gone before crawling out entirely.
“You… you didn’t rat me out?” You look at him genuinely puzzled, he just shrugs. “Why?” He’s quiet for a long moment before answering.
“Well… why don’t we just say you owe me now.” He says, crossing his arms and looking away from you.
“Oh, so you want my soul for something.” You huff.
“As nice as that would be, I was thinkin’ more a fair trade.”
“Like what?” You we’re getting very confused and curious as to what was on his mind.
“I use my ravishingly good looks and smooth talk to get you out of trouble, and you use those little skills of yours to snag me some of that good nose candy.” You think on this for a second, letting his words sink in and it wasn’t the worst situation to be in, all things considered.
“Alright! You got yourself a deal.” You shake each other’s hands, a thread like a spiders web wraps around your hand while a wispy one wraps around his, sealing your deal together. You both blink in surprise at this. “Did you that was gonna happen?” You ask him as you pull away.
“Nope… eh, I’m sure it’s fine.” He brushes off nonchalantly. His calm demeanour quickly shifts to to fear when the door open once more.
“Angel I’m so sorry for how I yelled at you earlier. I didn’t mean it, honest, it’s just been so stressful today. You understand, don’t you?” The pimp says in a sickly sweet voice.
“I uhh…” Angel takes a small look over his shoulder a second to see his own shadow give him a quick wink then disappear into the darkness of the alleyway. “Of course…” He shakes himself off and with a small second of hesitance, re-enters the studio.
Alastor
The streets were quiet and the sky was darker then normal as you kept a decent pace behind the odd man with the strange static noise coming off of him. He’d appeared not too long ago seemingly minding his own business, no one bothering to look twice at him but you found him interesting. After all he basically just got here and already he’s strolling around with the confidence like he owned the place. He turns and without thinking you follow, only to end up staring down the dead end street at nothing. The static sound fills your ears loudly, you quickly cover them and tilt your head up to see the looming figure grinning back at you.
“You seem lost my little friend! T̷͈̜̑o̶͈͊̌ ̸͔͂̎w̵̫̠̕ḣ̴̗̋a̵̐͜ţ̵̗̊́ ̴̣̯̈́d̷̛̪ȍ̷̘ ̷͉͚̍̓Ǐ̶̬ ̴̠̦̉̄o̸͉̍̔w̶̧̟̃é̸͎̻̆ ̸͉̎t̸͇̀̂ͅh̷̥͝ê̶͕̞ ̷̠̍̅p̴̢̓l̴̨̹̑͒ẻ̷̮̅a̷͔͛͊ş̸̾ȕ̷̩͍r̶̹̔e̸̮̬̓ ̵̱̼͌͗ó̴̧͉̈́f̷̡̬̓̓ ̷̰̝͒̀y̴͚̪͘͝o̵̙͋ǔ̵͙ ̶̙̇̂͜f̵̧̪̓ö̶͉́ͅl̶̢̮̅̌l̶̝͂͘o̵̗̳͌̂ŵ̷͓͓̽i̷̧̛̼̾n̶̹̝̔̈g̷̡̡̿ ̴̤͝m̶̩̊̓è̷̹̭?̷̩̻͂͠” The grin never falters as his tone lowers leaving an uneasy feeling in your gut.
“Umm… c-curiosity?” You say shakily.
“Well why didn’t you just say so! If I’d known I already be paraded by fans I’d have given a better welcome!” He laughs jovially. “Though…” He leans down to get a closer look at you. “You don’t appear as someone who’s well versed in the art of radio.” He raises an amused eyebrow at you.
“Oh… umm… I…” You struggle to think of a good excuse, still new to the whole radio stuff. “I am aware of them.” He straightens himself up, still holding a look of amusement on you, then a look of realization crosses his ever smiling face.
“Oh ho! Where have my manners gone? The name’s Alastor, my fine little friend. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking to?” He introduces himself.
“Uhhh, my name’s (y/n).” You greet back.
“Hmmm, so tell me. What really pulled you to follow me?” Alastor hums in thought, being slightly less threatening then earlier.
“You walk with a lot of confidence for someone who’s only been here for about a week. I was curious for why.” You confess.
“Is that all? Haha! Why it’s very simple my little friend. With confidence you hold the upper hand against your opponent no matter the situation.” He proclaims proudly. “Now then, I for one couldn’t help but notice you’re… unique attributes about you.” You look away from him nervously. “Now now, no need to feel shameful. In fact I believe you should embrace it! And I can help.”
“You can help me? How?” You knew exactly where he was going with this but played along.
“Isn’t it obvious? By giving you reason to put those skills of yours to use! And there’s no better person then I to help give you that reason.” He gleefully remarks.
“I mean… I guess.” You draw out the words as an idea forms in your head.
“So… ĭ̸̍̚͜t̴̝̫̆̊’̸̲̺̈́̚s̸̗̓͆͂͆̀̚ ̶̥̖͋͆̾̆̅̏̓ą̴̢̳̤̋̋̉̽̍͌͠ ̸͓̜̲̭̳̦̠̅͗̋̅d̶̙̾̉͗̒e̴̛̙̿͐a̴̟͗́̂̆̎ĺ̴̠̻̒ ̶̧̺̺̳̕t̵̢̰̍̿̍̈́̓͒͌h̵̢̼̰̠͕̀̔̽ę̵͖͚͕̲̓̋͠n̷̢̫̻̆͐͆ͅͅ?̵̲͗͗͒” Alastor holds out his hand to you a green aura around it as a small gust of wind whips around the two of you.
“Only if you promise me that I don’t get in trouble or harmed by anything or anyone.” You quickly say.
“Is that all?” He tilts his head curiously at you. You nod in response, he narrows his eyes at you a second or two before answering. “Cross my heart.” He says to which you then accept his handshake sealing the deal between the two of you.
There it was, a deal was made and the two of you left that dead end street. You weren’t sure what Alastor had planned but that didn’t really matter to you, all you wanted was protection and that’s exactly what you got.
As for Alastor, while not exactly looking to be someone’s “bodyguard” the pros of this deal heavily outweighed the cons so he let slide…
J̶̡̡̣͈͚͓̱̬̳͇̬̻̲̍̈́́͒̐͒u̵̟̞̞̜̲̖̹̳̇̍͊̀̽͂͜͠s̷̥͖̭̣̞͍̑̄̆̈́ţ̴͎̥̰̲͓̖̓̀͗̄̒̂̒̍̏̽͊̕͝ ̶͔̬̹͚̝̯͖̟̭̹̤̇͋͐͑̉͐t̴̡̜͕͕̠͖̗̺͓̣̫̔̓̑̍́̈̇̚͠͝ḧ̴̰͚̯̯̤͓͍̤͚͒̇̈́̆̌̉̑̚͝i̸̘̬̻̐̊̇̎̚ś̴͇̮͕̐̐̓͆̒̓̍̂͝ ̸̡̡̛̩̩̥̰͈̝͔͓̤̖́͒͛͑̆̎̓̈́̚͘͝ö̴̜̭́̀͑̾̑̕͘̕͝ṉ̸̲̥͌̀̽́̓͋̆̒͝c̷̨̨̘̱̲̰̝̟̠̏̍e̸͈̹̒̆̌̒̆…̵̡̭̙͉̱̣̄̐̈́̀̋̂. I
I hope you all enjoyed! Let me know if you want me to continue this or add any characters. (Side note: I have a separate WIP for Helluva Boss characters coming soon (hopefully))😁

Alright let's go - Ramblings regarding Saga, in comparison to Jesse and "The World"
if anyone feels like expanding on any point please do, I'm gonna leave this text as it is because otherwise it's gonna torment me for weeks
I don't recall in which interview, a couple writers said Casey was developed because Saga needed someone to bounce ideas off of and/or because she needed something to externalize her personality without relying on awkward exposition (or something along those lines).
And that's kind of noticeable if you compare Saga's and Jesse's treatment from a writing/presentation stand point:
Jesse as a character is far more obscure and details about her inner life are limited, while Saga is established and very detailed without relying on exposition.
Jesse, from a technical standpoint, suffers the "new character introducing an audience to a new IP" syndrome if you will.
Jesse's past is presented in vague details and a general sense of direction: finding Dylan who is a stranger to the audience. Her inner monologue is to Polaris and it works as exposition but by Polaris' nature there's no back and forth.
When Jesse talks to a character it is always a one-to-one conversation, and an important portion those are about the history of the FBC, asking questions that require exposition. Not to mention there's no interaction between the main cast other than with Jesse.
Some information can be inferred from Jesse's "epilogue" lines after the end of the game. But that's about it regarding the main text.
And that goes in line with the thematic difference I feel between Control and Alan Wake games - the former (heh) is about The World, the later, about the people in it.
Overall it can feel quite isolated and lonely, or well, mechanical. You have to fill in a lot of info yourself. And I believe the writers identified this and tried to change where they could with Foundation and AWE - with the way Jesse and Emily are far more comfortable with each other as they joke and tease during their dialogue, and getting a deeper look into my beloved Langston's personality (which is quite self-aware because lmao, finally it's Jesse who's at the end of a one-way "conversation").
But Saga's has an already established and rich life before the story and details bleed all through the text.
A partner and friend she's known for years and their history is spoken and written, there's no need to infer and fill in details yourself that much.
Their relationship is detailed enough in "side tidbits" (all of her Mind Place stuffs) and in actual conversations, which often enough involve a third party.
Casey works as exposition for Saga's character but, by virtue of Casey being character apart from Saga, the information is introduced far more organically (and arguably, in a more detailed way).
Remedy also gave Saga a huge advantage Jesse didn't have: The Collectible and Missions menus are hers.
So not only we get to hear Saga's thoughts on the current situation, we also get a sneak peek into her mind and inner life.
Some people in Saga's life also have a detailed enough history that they stand on their own rather than solely working as Saga's motivation because the story requires them to be at stakes.
Dylan is, technically, a stranger to Jesse, she's clinging to the past idea of him: we are motivated to find Dylan because we're told to care about him. While Logan and Casey are present in Saga's life and we get more details upfront to care for them.
Saga got curious, shit started to go down and we want them to be safe because otherwise it'd be painful for Saga.
Unlike the ghosts that Trench and Darling were to Jesse, Saga gets to actually talk to Tor and Odin. And well, the entire plot of the game is her undoing and confronting Alan's work on her life, rather than cleaning the mess done by the previous administration that are now gone and cannot be held accountable for.
And I suppose that's another improvement in the writing: the Hiss as the antagonist force is basic (and if you've played Mass Effect they're nothing new, and to me they're the least interesting part of the wolrdbuilding). There's not much room to maneuver, so Jesse's got one way to fight them (so far).
Saga could've gone several ways in dealing with Wake, and we see her struggle when she's about to give the Clicker to Alan/Scratch, she didn't mince her words in that confrontation and she had all the right to go even further. And yet she kept it together, unwilling to fully give herself to despair.
AND!
She chose compassion in the end!
And, honestly? Their final conversation is such a good and rich detail.
Saga's motherhood could've remained as basic reminders to the player that she has a daughter who's the victim and that's your motivation girl! As well as her silly jokes because parents do that sometimes teehee.
Saga's compassion is informed by her motherhood but not limited to it. As a mother she knows that everyone needs someone who believes in them unconditionally, as a daughter she knows how good a reminder of your good qualities can be, and as a detective she knows how to gather, read and act on information.
So when she reminds Alan that he had defeated the Dark Presence before and that he can do it again, she's not saying it because she's desperate, and she's not being patronizing due to Alan's loneliness and isolation.
She's saying because it's true.
And she doesn't rub his missteps and mistakes on his face. She knows how to get the point across without being mean.
She needed very little guidance: information to fill in the blanks of her life from Tor and Odin, short and vague phone calls from Alice, and a portal to the Writer's Room from Ahti. (Rose's lunchboxes were technically not necessary but she gets a honorable mention.) I don't know if there's enough information to conclude whether the reminders that helped her find a way out of the Mind Place were sent by someone else or came solely from her own resilience, and either would be neat, but I would like to think there's someone who's been looking out for her the same way she's been looking out for other characters.
And she's not flawless, but in working her flaws I believe the writers treated her with well deserved respect. She's not a caricature and the story has enough characters being tortured, any more and it'd feel cruel and it'd be permission granted by the horror genre anyways (although, to be honest, I believe Cynthia's treatment was a tiny bit too cruel and that's mostly due the last stage of her boss fight).
I love her first conversation with Norman because she's being a bit patronizing (I believe that's the correct word?), but he's like, nope! No dementia here! Not cool you brought it up :]
Her Nightmare Mind Place is as explicit as it gets. And the few times she loses it are not unearned. I love it when she gets frustrated with Rose and her "Oh fuck this", as well as her pained "My daughter is dead because of you. What is wrong with you?" to Alan in the holding cells.
Her biggest flaw is being a fed.
She's an extremely well put together person and integral, rich character. Her pain and suffering are palpable and the developers did an excellent job in showing it without being cruel (or well, knowing where to place the cruelty *cough* the white man *cough*).
And that's, in general, where I'd call attention to the leaps in improvement to Remedy's writing, right alongside the development and treatment Alice got, and the departure that is from Marshall in Control (the one character of color of any sort of relevance to the story, who got the least dialogue or details about her life and involvement despite being part of the old guard, and that gets killed in the end).
-
I have the same criticism (affectionate) with Control and Quantum Break: the world, its history and other characters are more interesting (to me) than their protagonists.
I wanted to get far deeper into the inner lives of Beth Wilder, Paul Serene, William Joyce and Martin Hatch than Jack's. William's and Beth's specifically, the one who ruined everything and the one who's struggling with the fact it can't be fixed, respectively. Sure I got my fix from the novel, but that is not part of the main text, so my comment still stands.
Ahti and Polaris/Hedron's goals, The Oldest House and all the places and events and phenomenon it connects to is what makes my mind wander. Jesse's involvement with all of them and her relationships with other characters remain only as possibilities at the end of the game.
I would feel far less affection or attachment to either Jesse and Jack if it weren't because of the sibling element. That's my huge bias/weakness there I'll admit.
But with Saga, I do care about her entire world, everything and everyone that surround her. She likes weird, morbid stuffs and romance stories, she's extremely curious which got her in trouble but was responsible enough to go deal with it.
As a new protagonist character that stands right next to a well established one as Alan Wake, I think there's very little Remedy could've done to make her better.
She's just amazing, Remedy and Melanie Liburd deserve so much praise for her.
-
The only gripe I have about her treatment is extremely petty and it's the same I've had in previous games, which is technical - she could've had more animations that showed her body language given she didn't have as many live action scenes (and also watching some of previous Melanie's work, she's got an incredible voice range for certain emotions that weren't explored in the game). But that's a matter of presentation and technical development.
AND
Remedy flexed the leaps in improvement they've gone through already! I mean, Saga's animation of picking up things anyone???.
So here's hoping they got more plans for her and they include more live action.
#saga anderson#alan wake 2#me a non-naitve english speaker: hope this doesnt make ur eyes bleed teehee#adhd meds have also vacated my brain as of a few hours ago#gotta go fight seasonal depression now and work on pending commissions#also just wanna put more energy on drawing her in situations#man I have so so many ideas planned people you have no idea#also jfc have you seen melanie liburd??#or listened to her voice#she's got this special kind of timbre - very clear#cannot ignore her - I'd listen to whatever she'd say and and ed up buying whatever she tried to sell me#I'm just the “women” meme I suppose#last petty thought but in a proud way: I kind of feel jealous Saga got more room to display her character traits than Jesse haha#remedyversetxt

Astrological Practices I Live By
Some may have alternative views, which is perfectly okay. I am here to grow and experience, so if there is something that seems constructive, I'm all ears. However, these are all personal practices and something I think is important for whomever seeks my posts. 🖤
Your natal chart is the precedent for everything. Asteroids, persona charts, solar returns, and more all bounce off of the original astrological placement of your birth. If there is contradiction, that should be analyzed and indulged in where it exists, and most importantly why. Not a lot of observational techniques I see actually use natal placements to boost and further the analysis of alternative charts. ex: comparing the juno PC chart of desire and commitment to groom/briede PC chart and understanding your inner needs to the potential outcome while adding the basis of your natal venus/mars sign to understand your relationship dynamics
Mythology is a huge aspect of astrology, which helps influence and gain characteristics to each planetary body. I never would have understood anything well if I had not taken a course to broaden my views and experience the same literature it is in association with. Regardless of belief system, you cannot walk in the same path if you do not follow the same footsteps. reasoning: rationalization of obscure objects always falls down into attempting to find language to demonstrate said acts, whereas mythology and story-telling is the backbone of bringing ideas to words that did not have definition. (however, you do not have to take a course to do so).
Astrological degrees are important. Everything provides context and I never experienced the weight of any chart until I brought the theory of degrees. Some may argue that it is ineffective, but this supports a heavy form of individualization and provided so much depth that I otherwise found lacking. ex: analyzed similarly as if a house placement, but more in symbolsis to the sign. everything changed when i realized my sun (chart ruler) is with a scorpio degree, finalizing the missing feeling i had all along that I was hoping to gain through alternatives (persona, asteroids; etc)
Some placements are meant to be "harsh, ugly, and/or weak." Depending on your configuration, those should be exalted as strengths rather than weaknesses. Change your perspective, not who you are. Astrology provides context. Your chart is made to be a form of guidance and abundance, but also an observation of the life you experience. Be willing to do the work or focus on a safe landing until you are able to do so. Do not let people take away your empowerment and rid yourself of growth. It's your divine right. [This is a safe place, but I will not shy away from the consensus of likeability.] ex: placements do not finalize your identity and many astrologers are expanding their acknowledgement of various facets on a daily basis, where many observations are still extremely left-field. unless someone is able to become you, there is no ability to override your instincts. by attempting to discard and over-romanticize, you are taking away the vitality you can gain when you come to accept and find hope in the wounds that used to scare you. remove posts that demonize you, but also lessen you by removal of your depth. people hate what confuses them. stand as an enigma.
Astrology is as powerful as a sensory process. It does not define fate, but it is a combination of various aspects that contribute to a language that can be transcribed within the human experience. When looking towards prediction, it is not much more than understanding that rain has a tendency to come when the sky gets bleak and trees shake in the wind. Saturn in Retrograde is similar to the temperature dropping when a change is about to happen or having a powerful instinct that an area is unsafe. It is a sign, but not a decider of choice. There is a reason why it is crafted upon an abundance of art and "aesthetics" that exist in intangible forms. reasoning: astrology is not a hard science and may never be, but the discrimination of subjects that do not belong in that category are absurd. coincidence is powerful and simply the pattern of understanding outside of our present material. similar to language, we attach meanings towards predictive association in order to enable meaning. do not take away the beauty of limited understanding because we live as creatures with limited resources. this does not discredit spiritual belief, but acknowledgement of causation vs. correlation of specific events.

Finally finished the dossier template, few other things of note:
Pretty handy with a knife as well as the bow.
Can process seafood really quickly
Prefers to be at a REASONABLE height with the sky above her
If you want to know her exact birthday, you'll have to figure it out on your own or hassle her enough
Scars: a small cut on her chin, stab scar on her stomach (she fell out of a tree and impaled herself, okay), inside of her bicep, across the outside of her right wrist to her thumb, palm side of her left thumb
Tattoos: Ket tattoo on the inside of the wrist, floral sleeve on her left arm, anchor + rope + birds on one of her ankles
I kept rambling and found it hard to summarize the relationships so I've expanded under the cut. There are def rumors that she's dating or sleeping with at least half of them
Blade: they get along weirdly well. Recruits in particular are always surprised to find them casually walking together- they find her softer demeanor an odd juxtaposition to how Blade... is. Also! He is fun to tease. thinks how much she'd like to hear him whimper. It's a miracle they don't butt heads more often, considering her beef with authority. He hates when she gets together with Trouble and Chase b/c she joins them in being a group menace.
Romance: I could see it but Blade would have to make the first move and bridge that gap, as she's convinced herself she's not meant for a relationship. One of the biggest issues i would see them having is Blade's protectiveness would make her feel like she was being smothered and coddled at times.
Trouble: They get on like a house on fire. Her first friend in the order and i'm still deciding if they get arrested together or she pulls Trouble away. Very casual with physical affection and he's a personal space heater. Not a lot to say here b/c it's pretty straight forward!
Romance: Absolutely could see it happening but this would involve a third party kicking Trouble in the ass b/c he's dense as a brick. But it could very well fall apart b/c of her whole romantic relationship = bad, thing. She would realize 'i have feelings for him, but he doesn't have any idea yet' and probably distance herself which would cause confusion and hurt for Trouble, he might confide in someone and they just "she has feelings for you, dipshit"
Tallys: A little more complicated- Aelyn bounces and feeds off other ppl's personalities to interact so the cool, calm, detached thing is kind of weird sometimes b/c she's.... not that. It gets better as she eases out of survival mode. Tallys has given her a lot of tips when it comes to archery (flirting, unnecessary touching, ect included), they go on nature walks, and they do talk often.
Romance: Maybe. While they work as friends with benefits... idk if it would go beyond that. Speaking of: Tallys is absolutely the one to break that arrangement off b/c she's the first one to clock Aelyn being in deep for Chase (or just... between tallys and chase, idk how she has any energy). this is how i see it happening anyway, since aelyn is in denial and idk how willing tallys would be to be in the middle of... that. Of course, how these two fwb route interact can absolutely change things
Shery: She loves Shery. Like if she was more comfortable with casual affection Aelyn would give a hug and kiss on the head when they met up. Borderline cute aggression (I could see Aelyn getting drunk, holding onto Shery, saying "you're so adorable, what the fuck"). Shery does a good job of making her feel cared about w/o being coddled. Has loved helping her be a little more assertive
Romance: I think Shery would be too timid to kick things off and that's what Aelyn needs. I would see this being Shery falling and not saying anything.... forever. There's also the "and they were both bottoms" lol.
Riel: They get along but I wouldn't call them good friends? They respect each other but if they had no work related reason to see each other, both would be okay with that. Even if he was romanceable for a fem MC, it would not happen. Man won't even share his food.
Chase: This is hard b/c my brain kind of turns to static when I think about them. But they got on very quickly. Not as quickly as say, Trouble, but when she said 'We're square' she genuinely meant it. she got points right off the bat for tracking him down and busting into the guild solo and not really giving a shit that they're the thieves guild. He gets points for being so easy to get a long with and leading a life that would make him a huge hypocrite for judging her past choices.
Romance: He's her main romance so- It's such a fucking mess and i love mess. Fuck buddies who have caught feelings and are stupid about it b/c they don't want them. They've managed to worm past each others walls on accident and it's going to get worse before it gets better. At this point in the game, the thought of losing him or even turning down the dial on whatever they have going on is devastating, which scares her. Honestly, just how relationship avoidant I make her ultimately depends on how the torpedo + subsequent reconciliation happens.
Red: He caught her scoping the library and offered her a tour, gaining immediate friendship points. She's envious of his education but he's so open with his knowledge and resources she can't resent him. they talk about nerdy magic shit all the time and Blade is 🙄 when they start bouncing off each other.
Romance: Such a close runner up to Chase it's almost tragic. The biggest tipping point is that she met chase first. I think he would be patient enough to get past her walls and mature enough to just fucking... talk to her. There's obviously chemistry and something there that would make him pursue her. this would be overall healthier and wouldn't explode (as badly). she'd be terrified of meeting his family though.
Ayla: They're pretty protective of each other pretty quickly, they see the similarities they have and they get a long well. Aelyn makes an active effort to remind Ayla she has a place here and people she can trust. Teases her until she gets punched in the ribs.
Romance: No matter what I do I can't see them in a relationship. :| She's the only one out of the romacables (for fem MC) that I'm like hmmm no.
Halek: They get along very well and he seems to take her flirting in stride. I can see them cooking together (assuming Halek isn't one of those 'get out of my kitchen' people)- cooking and eating together is a significant bonding activity for her. She feels like Halek is a big judgment free zone so that's big friendship points for her.
Romance: Yes, if only to make a lifelong enemy of Moonsilk. I think they're compatible but I also don't know if I know his character well enough to say definitely. If he ever wants to 'hang out' she's down to clown.
Briony: Once she realized Briony was genuinely on the same side as her in the arena they were buds. She fascinated by Briony's sword and jokes that Red's blatant curiosity is rubbing off on her. Right there with Ayla with 'hey you want us to 'talk' to them 🤜' they like to walk around, arms linked, and GOSSIP
Romance: I- maybe? I could see it. Possibly. Though, apparently she and Lavinet's type is similar sooo maybe not. I don't think it would be.... great. My biggest fear is that Aelyn would actively sabotage this relationship and create a lasting wound for Briony (although tbh this is a fear for pretty much all the ROs)
Lavinet: They hold each other in high regard and their relationship is warmer then Aelyn and Riel's but but there's still a distance there. Lavinet operates very differently then she does and it throws Aelyn off. I'm not sure how true it is but Aelyn is pretty sure Lavinet would judge the shit out of her for some of the things she's done in the past. They bond over riding and girls nights though. Like Riel: even if romancable, it wouldn't happen.
Mimir: It's complicated. On one hand she does like Mimir as Mimir, loves how weird she can be. On the other, the whole god(s) thing? don't like that. She's resentful and tries real hard not to direct it at Mimir
#it's... long sorry#i might? change her age#shoh#shepherds of haven#aelyn wildegarde#i'm still working on her playlist#she's really considered healing up all her scars but having a mage mercenary with no scars at all is sus so she just leaves most of them

do you have any tips on how to start writing fics?
the outsiders brainrot actually has me coming up with ideas and i have a desire to start writing them into actual stories but i've never written outside of class papers/assignments and i don't really know where/how to start since it's all just my own prompts and ideas and there's no grading rubric lmaoooo
like do you plan out each fic with a list first or do you just start writing about the main plot point of the chapter and fill in out of order or do you just start writing and see where it takes you... do you do any research while you're planning or pull from other authors/fics/posts or write from experience...
how do you decide when to stop writing or decide on which endings/paths/plot points to go with... the deadly combo of indecisiveness and perfectionism along with having no guidelines or due dates is crippling me so im asking some of my fav authors (who have also been inspiring me to write and be creative)
wait hi this is so sweet thank you!!! 🥹🥹 i will preface All This (sorry i yapped so much lol) by. i’ve been writing fic for like ten years and i think a lot of my old fic, while deeply cringe and awful, was all very important to getting me where i am today where i feel i can accurately get across what im trying to say!!!
first. hone your ideas!!! try to find a good niche you feel comfortable in (but also. don’t limit your creativity!!!). idk for me it’s easier to start specific and small rather than super general bc then i have Tooooo much freedom u know. i think my niche sorta across fandoms is generally softer dialogue, exploring close siblings or familial or friendship bonds an dynamics through situation, a lot of fluff, maybe a lil hurt comfort
i basically exclusively write in order! unless i get a really cool line/paragraph in my head that i write out and save for later to fit in somewhere. i usually have a like one-line idea that just Comes to me (ex. this was my entire line idea that turned into that pony getting jumped fic!)
then i’ll expand it a little more into a shitty little paragraph (ex. here’s a few!!!)
and then tbh after that i just kinda write everything in order from top to bottom from there. i wish i were more organized tbh and writing long fic/chaptered stuff is still sooo hard for me (which is why i don’t do it much yet lol) but im really trying to break out of it!! slowly we are learning!!! retaining the inspo and drive necessary to write that much is harddddd lmfao
before writing i always do have a solid idea where i want it to start and go and end though. like that ponyboy jumping fic i Knew i wanted to have pony get jumped in the opening scene, then go home, try to break down cutting his own hair, brothers come in and talk him down and it ends with talking abt johnny, even if i didn’t like. List that all out in words in a document.
definitely do research!!! espppp for outsiders bc it was like 60 years ago!!! well researched fics are soooo obviously tonally different and it’s always super obvious imo when that sort of care is put into ur writing. that fic i wrote about darry getting a panic attack was important researching bc panic attacks weren’t well known or researched or even Called panic attacks back then, so it’d be hella jarring seeing like 1967 13y/o pony whip out “you’re having a panic attack darry 🤓👆” yk lmfaoo
i SOO get the perfectionism and having no due dates thing btw. i have literally like 5 fics i’ve started and not finished in my docs rn with like 15 more ideas i wanna write someday. tbh! try to enter that Hyperfixation Zone and be really excited about what you’re making!!! helps it go by easier bc i swear sometimes i’ll write fic and it feels like pulling teeth even though it’s supposed to be fun!!!
last thing. try and find friends to bounce ideas off of and go crazy with you <3 or ppl to beta read!!! makes writing SO much easier and sm more fun having a your own lil personal cheerleader!!! if you ever need a beta id be soooo happy to read whatever you’ve got and hype u up!!! <3 i hope this helped at least a little bit LOL my writing process is kinda chaotic ngl
#the outsiders#this was so nice 🥹🥹🥹#thank u for reading my silly lil fics <33#i always think they sound so goofy (imposter syndrome is crazyyyy) but stuff like this makes me sooosjsbsksdjw <3333333#asks#oh also forgot to say but i don’t tend to look to other authors really esp regarding fic concepts#lots of ppl inspire me but imo it’s just too easy to accidentally read things and then plagiarize or copy ideas even if you don’t mean to!#just be careful of that LOL#just use my good ol imagination 98% of the time!

a little pilot episode of a mellobot!au. it's actually a scene close to the end of the story, but i wanted to write it to get a feel.
android scientist!near / insurgent!mello
sci-fi/sci-fantasy, drama, rated general. (1.1k word count)
it's twenty years after the kira case, and mello and near are on opposite sides of the artificial intelligence war. today, mello has infiltrated near's base. he finds a special room with his name on the door.
Mello walked past the android repair shop, the server room, the controls headquarters. He kept heading deeper. The rooms became more personal, less organized, less like they were used for this proxy war that really wasn't a proxy war at all and instead spilt the blood of millions, and more like the battered, rattling lungs of a wounded animal, all the air sacs contracting and expanding in turn. The floor outline, based on the trackers he put in each room, became increasingly crooked and cramped as he approached its center.
“Bastard, what a nice fuckin’ place you've got, huh?” Mello snuffed out his cigarette and flicked the butt into a nearby trash can overflowing with office papers and junk parts.
There were a few facilities that implied more people may have worked here, once, but the downturn of the war on the side of the artificial had taken a toll on that too; offices abandoned, the cantine laced in cobwebs. He tagged those, too, sliding trackers under desks and tacking them on support beams.
The first room he happened upon that held his interest had a door of sturdy oak wood and a slightly oxidized plaque with an old-fashioned inscription. It had nothing to do with the aesthetics of the base that surrounded it; it had the distinct charm of the conception of the twenty-first century, when everyone was freshly hopeful that the dawn of a new age would bring prosperity and light. Mello sneered at the thought of the doomsayers. In the end, those fanatics waving signs and self-flagellating on the streets were much closer to seeing the truth. Still, it was an imperfect truth because here Mello stood, cleansed by fire, built by ash.
The world did end, but it was reconstructed brick by brick by people like Mello.
Though his vision had never quite been restored in his left eye, the curly script inscribed in the plaque clarified into perfect legibility as he approached it, and he stopped dead in his tracks five paces away from the enigmatic door.
“Mello?” He traced out the script with a hoarse whisper.
It was left slightly ajar with a gentle light source emanating from within, as though someone had been waiting and watching, as though the slight crack allowed a breath to pass through.
He tossed a tracker inside and heard it bounce twice before settling. No commotion. Carpet flooring, based on the muffledness.
Unlike the rest of the base, he had zero predictions for what could be inside, but the warm glow spilling out like silk welcomed him, so he hoisted his rifle up a bit more across his shoulders, and slipped a thumb into the holster of his handgun. His stomach twisting and turning in knots of apprehension, Mello gingerly pushed the door open with one gloved hand.
The sight of a mundane bedroom greeted him. Still the chills of a peculiar familiarity ran down his spine. The hue of the lights, the woven carpet, the bedposts in that same rich mahogany. It kind of looked— he recalled with a gulp— like his own room, back at Wammy's, a lifetime ago. Geez what tipped you off, maybe the name on the door?
There were a few odd details that kept his mind from exploding completely, principally the life-sized version of what must be his late teenage self tucked in bed facing away from him, rusty blond hair spilling over his white pillow, his face in a neutral repose. Mello swiftly aimed his handgun at the boy’s head, barking out a harsh warning. When there was no reaction he kicked the edge of the mattress. Still nothing.
He flipped the boy over by the shoulder (it was cold with a bit of give, velvety). and did a quick scan: There. The unmistakable electromagnetic signature of an android. A mighty fine one at that, but still a machine, and powered off. Mello crouched down and peered incredulously into the face of his younger self. He could almost see the scarlet blood rushing beneath his shockingly humanlike skin. None of the androids he'd met independently reached this level of lifelike. Besides the glaring difference of his facial scar and the decades packed into Mello's sallow skin, they were spitting images of each other.
It was truly state of the art.
“You sick fuck,” Mello laughed derisively.
He stood back up—almost dizzy— and surveyed the room one more time. The window, or the model of a window, was of particular interest. Just a standard LED panel behind a traditional-looking frame, with no indication that it could be opened, but it seemed a deliberate difference that only two people in the world were ever clued in to.
“You remembered,” Mello marveled to himself. Past the window played a very subtly looping footage of a generated coastline, the muted blue of brackish waters ambling in and out.
He blinked and watched more closely.
Ah, it wasn't generated. Little dots of people, vintage people, dotted the beachy shores. Even in the cliffs there was occasionally someone chancing a dive. Such idyllic coastlines didn't exist anymore, but in this window, they were immortalized. Mello’s lips thinned into a wobbling line as he put a fist beside the window, in this mirage of a room.
There was a second part to their conversation. His and Near’s. He had let the memory be buried for three decades, under the suffocating hatred and longing and all the thorny feelings stirred in him by one particular man; now it came rushing back unbidden, with vengeance.
“If you go, I wouldn't mind following. I wouldn't mind seeing all these things you find beautiful." Near had been lying on Mello's bed, feet dangling off the side because they were dusty. He didn't look at Mello, but stared up at the ceiling of that windowless room.
Mello had laughed back then.
”How are you gonna do that? You don't even want to leave the orphanage.”
”That's only ‘cause you're here, Mello. But I could do it, don't you believe in me? We'll go visit the Mediterranean Sea, then the Baltic, then sail around the world using L’s money.”
”You're gonna need to lug around so much medicine. Plus, it's kind of hard to believe a recluse like you could find anything beautiful beyond the nails of your own ten toes.”
”You can teach me to.”
In the present, Mello peered down into the youthful face of his mirror one last time before storming out of its room, slamming the door behind him.

totally not awkwardly coming from the 10 day old post about rarepairs ... UHM SO KOUYOU X VERLAINE AND THEY BOTH CO PARENT CHUUYA OR SOMETHING AND CALL EACH OTHER SWEET OLD PETNAMES LIKE DEAR OR DARLING I THINK IT'S REALLY CUTE
few other rarepairs i got are . uhm. dazai x yosano, jouno x dazai, FRANCIS AND ZELDA HOW COME NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THEM?? uhMM and nathaniel x margaret. if that's even rare. what do you think
Hihi, don't know very much about verlaine... I'm so sorry (or some of the guild members i need to re read that arc okay...) <//3 but I can do the other ones tho
Dazai/Yosano
I don't think about them very much but they're actually really cute. I feel like they could bond a lot because they have very similar trauma. I also think Yosano would really help dazai with his mental health. Also, while being clearly more healthy, I deffiently think yosano has her moments as well, and obviously dazai would support her during that. I think they'd have a similar sense of humor, and would enjoy watching movies/shows together. I don't know if they'd be super open about it to the other members of the agency or not, they both seem like fairly private people, so at least at first I don't think they'd tell anyone. (Ranpo knows. Yosano would tell him but he'd know even if she didn't.)
Beautiful woman x absolute loser boyfriend (/silly /lh)
Jouno/Dazai
Okay now we're in the very rare rarepair territory lol
I can't exactly think of how this relationship would start, but I think they would either bounce off of each other's personalities very well, or descend into absolute madness. I think they both have some issues with empathy, so that might help them bond a little easier than they would with other people. I do think some arguments would start because of different morals, but hopefully they could work it out. Also, we all know dazai loves messing with people and being annoying but I think dazai would respect jounos space and things, because that's kind of verging on messing with accessibility. I think jouno wouldn't want to ask for help with things because internalized ableism, or a fear of being perceived as lesser by other people, but dazai is dazai and would see right through that and help anyways (to a normal, non-pushy extent. Jouno is still a functional adult and dazai knows that). I think they'd listen to podcasts or audio books together and a lot of physical contact as a love language.
I tried to expand a lot on those because I only did 2 of your requests so I hope that's good enough :)

Taskmaster New Zealand series 1 summary
So, I finally caved and decided to expand to Taskmaster NZ and I have to say, I like it a lot, which I didn’t exactly expect, to be honest. I know a lot of people like TM NZ and have been recommending it to me non-stop, so yeah. It’s genuinely brilliant. Paul Williams and Jeremy Wells are great choices in my opinion for the assistant and the Taskmaster. They aren’t at all like Greg and Alex which I find quite refreshing. Don’t get me wrong, I adore Greg’s and Alex’s dynamic and it’s a huge part of why I adore TM UK so much, but I’m glad they didn’t try and replicate it. Jeremy is a lot quieter, more lenient and nicer when scoring the contestants, and whereas Greg has rarely a nice word to say about Alex, Jeremy basically showers Paul in praise. It’s so different, yet I think that’s why it works so well. I’m a BritCom kind of guy through and through, so I don’t know any of the NZ contestants, but everyone won me over so fucking fast. The first series is always difficult, and TM UK was already a household name when TM NZ got its first series, but I think they pretty much nailed it. The first series of TM UK holds a special place in my heart, but TM NZ slots in so easily alongside it. I expected some awkwardness, and especially Jeremy seems to struggle a little to find his footing in the early episodes but I don’t mind. I also think the Taskmaster Ranch is a nice location and so much bigger than the Taskmaster House, allowing more variety in scenery even when they’re just in one location, and I really think they nailed the tasks too. As far as I’m aware, Alex writes the tasks for TM UK himself and it’s just him who does it whereas for TM NZ they have a team creating them and it’s somewhat noticeable on occasions, but I don’t mind either way. I don’t have anything negative to say about the first series. Sure, there were things they could have done better, but who cares? I was also quite lenient about TM UK’s first series and I think they’re both highly entertaining, which should be the main point, right? The cast is also just really wholesome and I appreciate that when showing the VTs, the editors don’t just stay on the VT but intercut it with the reactions from the cast and you can also hear their reactions throughout the VT, something I miss in TM UK (I know they did it in earlier series, but why they stopped I don’t know (I mean, Tim Key’s reaction to Romesh smashing the watermelon on the ground lives in my head rent free)). Jeremy’s scoring feels sometimes even more arbitrary than Greg’s and introducing half-points in the first series could have gotten messy, but it didn’t. And I like his use of bonus points. As I know none of the cast, I basically couldn’t give less of a fuck about who won, so, yeah, I’m down with Jeremy’s scoring. As a side note: A funny thing I noticed was in episode 4 and 5, there was a guy in the audience who really, and I mean really, enjoyed himself. He was there to cheer and cheer he did. Good for him.
I love Angella Dravid. She’s so awkward and anxious but she has some prime responses / one-liners. She and Guy are the contestants I thought were funniest and she seems to be a genuinely sweet person, the way she interacted with Paul and the other cast. I thought about comparing her to Joe Thomas, but they’re on opposite ends of a spectrum for me in terms of awkwardness. I think she might be my favourite contestant overall (at least at this point in time).
I don’t know if this is a controversial opinion or not, but I think Guy Williams is a better Iain Stirling, as in, Guy did annoy me slightly, but he was also genuinely hilarious to the point where he managed to combine these things perfectly, and he was a joy to behold, especially him and Paul bouncing off of each other. You really do feel the sibling dynamic there.
I don’t know enough about Leigh Hart to conclusively determine whether he was just being nice when he offered Paul a drink anytime he was leaving to get stuff or if this is a joke I don’t get. I think I laughed each time he hit his head on the shed’s ceiling (and I feel kind of bad for laughing). Also, I loved Leigh’s feud with the blender and mixer. He seems to be one of those inoffensive white guys every iteration of Taskmaster has had at some point, so yeah, quite competent without doing anything too memorable — although that cheese sandwich looked fucking delicious, admittedly.
Watching Brynley Stent attempting most tasks was like watching an overexcited puppy, peaking in episode 7 with her crawl whilst carrying the frisbee in her mouth. I got to say, VT Brynley and studio Brynley are two entirely different people for me, like, how are they the same person? My brain can’t compute that at all. I did enjoy watching her, even though some of her ideas felt a little unhinged, overall she had a rather innocent brand of comedy about her. I liked that.
Madeleine Sami looked quite handsome in her suit, didn’t she? As I loved Leigh’s feud with the blender, I also adore Madeleine’s love story with the leaf blower. I don’t have much to say about her otherwise. Madeleine was very average, in my opinion, despite coming second with a massive lead over third place, I don’t remember much of what she did, although I have since gone on to watch Deadloch, specifically because Madeleine Sami is in it.
And I think it’s wild to have that many musically talented people in one cast. Anyway, that was TM NZ series 1. I’m not going to follow this up with series 2 immediately and put my focus back on TM UK for the time being, although series 2 and 3 were hilarious as well. But yeah, I’ll figure out a way to change it up a little every now and then. Thanks for sticking around!

4. Favourite thing about roleplaying?
i love love love the collaborative aspect of it. that's my favorite form of storytelling. having another person to bounce ideas off of really helps my thoughts flow and it's probably why i can't really write fanfic or create my own like. something. even any OCs that i've made have been in collaboration with other people's OCs/worldbuilding. mybraindoesnthaveenoughjuicetomakethingsbyitselfwhoops i love being able to react to replies and even the surprise and anticipation when waiting then receiving replies. rp my beloved.... . .. . ... .
10. Would you be friends with your muse if they were real?
I WOULD HOPE SO CRIES. i bet me and bo would have the best time at a theme park together tbh lmao. i want a bolin hug soooooooooo bad.
13. What’s one random headcanon about your muse that people mightn’t know?
one headcanon i project onto both bolin and his brother more so applies to their parents. i imagine they were extremely schmoopy and open with PDA for each other in front of their children, which influenced how both mako and bolin show affection physically — we especially see it with mako when he was with asami and korra. however, bolin was younger, so he didn't quite remember more things about his parents than mako would've, so bolin's methods of showing affection also carries in from how mako took care of him as they grew up without their parents, like leaning into acts of service.
18. Are there any AU’s you’d like to explore but haven’t had the chance to yet?
this one sounds fun. also i need to expand my brain to try to shove bo in an atla verse.
21. Are there certain characters that you gravitate towards?
characters with a heart of gold that want to prove that they're more than what people usually see them as. whether that's through charming roguish characters who have been pushed to societal outskirts due to their lifestyle or through overly dramatic goofballs with big personalities.
24. What about your muse are you most proud of?
his muscles. he truly wants to do what's good. unfortunately, sometimes that want can turn into horse-blinders. but really he wants to be good and do good and help people. he's soooooo motivated by love, which i believe is another influence from mako tbh. ugh. i love these brothers so much. don't get me started about where they hug before mako tries to overpower the mech's power and gets overwhelmed and bolin still comes back for him i'm gonna cry what was the question again

Frontiers writing really does feel like "okay let's grab what people love talking about online" mixed with hazy memories of what happened in past games without anyone bothering to, you know. ACTUALLY look at what happened in them.
And then a lot of new stuff being added that then, isn't expanded.
Yup. It's dangling keys in front of my face when I know exactly what those keys go to, and it's not what you're telling me. Like I'm not an encyclopedia and I've got an awful memory, but even I know off the top of my head that Eggman didn't stop Neo Metal in Heroes. Considering how much Flynn loves that storyline I'm honestly surprised he got this wrong.
The cutscenes in general are quite shoddy and miss a valuable piece of writing advice: be careful about including normal conversations.
True, people DO talk this way, but the reason we don't write about it and instead condense it to a "they chatted about the weather for a few minutes" is because it's boring.
I feel like I should give the side stories more slack since they're optional, but they're really so meaningless. Well, they're SUPPOSED to mean something, they're meant to build up this mystery, but just asking mundane questions about random stuff isn't really what I'd call "building a mystery." It's just characters speculating about tiny little details surrounding the ancient culture that doesn't loop back into the overall mystery. They're not good foreshadowing and add nothing of value, not even entertainment. They're all so impersonal since they don't even use these little scenes to show how well the characters bounce off each other.
If you want an example of this done well, there's TONS of optional discussions in Xenoblade 3 where the gang just talk about regular stuff, but it's so funny because they don't know what the hell they're talking about. There's one where Sena accidentally invents zoos, it's great and I'm mad no one has compiled them on YouTube yet Of course, there's also stuff to expand on the lore and world building, but they're mostly reserved for everyday antics that highlight the excellent dynamics these characters have.
And that's what makes them good. It's not just "Everyday conversation #16" because it gives the characters a chance to make something a little more personal to them.
Frontiers misses that mark by because it needs these characters to be informational mouthpieces to move the plot and that destroys the concept of character voice.
Tails uses big words to signal that he's the smart one when his actions spoke well enough for him before. Eggman is literally just sitting on the sidelines for 80% of the plot and instead of pulling any strings, he's reading textbooks into audio logs. Like buddy. You have an AI that is totally obedient, why is your order "find me a way out of here" when you're studying this place? YOU are the one coming up with answers and connections everywhere, why aren't YOU looking for a way out yourself instead of sitting on your ass and relishing in a robot punching Sonic? Fucks sake, Sage can activate these ancient weapons, have her USE THEM to GET RID OF SONIC so he can't UNLEASH THE BEAST. This is such a simple and easy way to make the plot more interesting I will not stop harping on it
I wonder if this story will sour on people over time or if in 10 years it will still be praised it as one of the greats.

I’m throwing this out there really quickly. I’ve made another post asking for help, but this one will be shorter, straight to the point, and more organized. If you would like to help me develop a turtle tot fanfic I’m working on, expand this post to see what’s going on :)
-
So, I’ve been cooking up a turtle tot fanfic idea for a good while now. Based on the episode we never got where Raph, Donnie, and Leo turn into tots. Except I take that idea, and expand it through the rest of the season. I’m sticking closely to the serious plot of the season with Big Mama, and I’m even redoing a couple other scrapped episodes but in turtle tot form. Each chapter will act like an “episode” with a full story start to finish that whole shabang. I’ve been organizing and developing as much as I can for a month or so, but I’ve hit a dead end. I have lots of ideas, but I’m scratching my head trying to fill them in or develop them more. I haven’t even come up with a name for the fanfic yet, and any chapters without names have emojis as placeholders.
This is what I have so far. If you agree to help I’ll give you access to this doc, and you’ll be able to see the specifics of each chapter. More than one person helped plan episodes and plot for the show itself, so I’m looking for people interested in helping me! You would get credit for any and all ideas you contribute. Let’s say you do most of the work for chapter 16 for example, I would give you that credit for coming up with that mini story.
-
I think working on Discord or Instagram would be best. The way I want to go about this is just having a space for you to pitch ideas (Google docs), and a separate space for me to bounce ideas off of you (a group chat). I’d like to keep conversations limited to this project, for the sake of my own boundaries and organization. But I would treat you as a mutual and support your work as somewhat of a thank you! :D I don’t talk to people much and I have bad anxiety, so respecting my boundaries is super super super important. I don’t want to feel the need to maintain contact with anyone because that’s stressful, but I want someone there if I need them! 💕 and that doesn’t mean we can never goof off, just don’t set your expectations of me too high. I have no idea how this will go 🙃
If you want to try it out, leave a comment here. Unless this post gets deleted, then this offer is still available. I’m hoping to get at least one person to help me, but I don’t want more than 4 or 5. Just a small team ready to help me tackle the behind the scenes process :) ultimately I will of course be the one to write this. If you have any questions as well, comment them! Someone might have the same question as you and I’d like to answer it here for people to see 🌸
From there, we can talk privately and I’ll send you a link to the Google doc. I look forward to working with someone and getting help bringing this idea to life! :D ✨

4. Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?
The first one is obvious… Sonic himself! Wouldn't make sense to spend so much time on a Sonic fic if I didn't care about his universe. That said, I don't intend to pull an Archie with the lore. Stellar focuses on its own story and setting that just so happens to partially incorporate one previous bit of lore, in a similar manner to what SA1 did with the backstory introduced in S3&K. There are some mild references to other lore, but never in a way that tries in vain to wrap it all together in a neat little bow.
The environments are also largely inspired by that of previous Sonic locales. Mostly from non-mainline installments, since for various reasons (being on a handheld ala Advance/Rush, being a racer ala Riders/Rivals/Sonic R, being on motion controls ala Storybooks), they didn't have the same level of freedom as those in the main games, meaning there's a lot to expand on and make something new out of.
The other major influence for environments and aesthetics is, you guessed it, Spyro. I make no secret that le purple dragon has helped shape up the world of Viridonia aesthetically, but unlike fans who think Sonic should be little more than Furry DBZ, or IDW making random anime references that don't work, there is some thought put into it, and never at the expense of the Sonic universe's own identity. I think both worlds are very similar in aesthetics anyway, so if I see something in Spyro that makes me think "Wow, that would be so cool to see in Sonic!", I then think of how to translate it in a form that benefits Sonic's world, as opposed to wondering why the square doesn't fit in the round hole.
For the mystic entities that are tied to the Ethereal Zone, since they each have different powers, shapes and colours, I got the idea to base each of them on a different mythological creature for a subtle thematic resonance despite how otherwise different they are from each other. They're not one-to-one like the creatures they're inspired from mind you, they're definitely Sonicy interpretations (eg: the fire-themed one is a mix between a phoenix and a feathered serpent ala Quetzalcoatl, since I wasn't sure if making it a phoenix straight-up would make it sound too similar to Ifrit from Rivals 2), but I thought it'd be a fun twist on the giant monster schtick… though it helps that all of them are controlled via Time Eater-esque cybernetics by a certain round chum. Going out of control? Upstaging Eggman? In a Crusher fic? Not happening, son.
And speaking of the doctor, obviously I've took notes from many of his game portrayals, with S3&K's determination, SA1's dickery, and Forces' cunning being three of the biggest examples. But another influence for my interpretation of the doctor is the Mother 3 portrayal of Porky Minch: specifically, how he is clearly working towards a big end goal, yet is also simultaneously setting up seemingly unrelated projects all over Viridonia, playing its population (save Trudy) for fools, and overall treating the island as though it's his personal playground. This is not a Mephiles situation however: all of this does turn out to play a part in his endgame. He just happened to plan it out in a way that can also feed into his ego and hedonism in the meantime.
And Trudy… is Trudy. There were some mild influences for certain aspects of her design, but her personality pretty much grew upon itself as I built on her. I wanted to create a character that was mellow, but still fun and quirky, and could still bounce off Sonic and Co without being seen as "the boring one" or "the nag who can't be bothered with Sonic". I also find an appeal in shy characters finding the courage to do things they'd never expect themselves to do, so y'know.
There are other bits of inspiration I could mention, which includes concepts that are neither Sonic or Spyro-related… but I don't want to spoil more than necessary for now. XP
39. Share a snippet from a WIP
Note: This is a slightly older draft of the moment in question, so there might be some minor differences in the final one.
Sonic grew concerned by her stunned reaction, hoping that he didn't offend her. "You don't mind it, do you?"
"No, of course not. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's just…" Her right hand clutched the fingers of the other, subtly squeezing them in the process. Her vision was directed at a nonspecific pile of red leaves not too far away from them. This all seemed so silly. There was really no justification for this. No excuse for her to treat such a thing with the kind of awe reserved for being within the presence of an omnipotent. And yet…
"No one's… no one's ever given me a nickname before…"
Sonic appeared to be puzzled by this, which was then followed by him exchanging a brief glance with Tails. His lifelong pal simply gave him a shrug in response.
"If it's any consolation," the fox piped up, with a faint hint of a smirk morphing on his face. "Some of his nicknames are better than others."
"Hey!" Sonic playfully raised his arms in defense, which did nothing to hide his sheepish grin. "So what if they can get a little simple! If she doesn't like it, I can totally drop it! If I have to get my head around the right pronunciation of her name, then so be it!"
"No, it's… it's nice," she insisted softly. A gentle smile slowly found itself on her face as well. "It's an honor, truly. You can call me that if you want to."
"You sure?"
A simple, meek nod was what he received, and it was at this point that her eyes shifted once more. After what appeared to be some hesitance, they gained the courage to meet with Sonic's own.
Sonic's eyes held onto their shared gaze for a couple of seconds, before he turned to Tails again. The fox only gave another shrug, this time to suggest that there was no further reason to debate the matter. After a silent understanding between the two heroes, the hedgehog nodded triumphantly.
"Well then," he announced, with a wink for his new friend. "I guess it's truly Trudy from now on!" As he gave a characteristic thumbs up, she could only continue smiling at the display, and her ears lowered ever so slightly. This was all so very sudden for her even now, but if they sincerely value her company and assistance, then maybe... maybe... it wouldn't hurt to keep tagging along with them.
40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?
I wouldn't be fussy, since I'd be grateful for any moments, or environments, that they decided to portray.
But if I had to pick one… I suppose a certain confrontation between Trudy and Eggman would be awesome. Or a certain heart-to-heart between Trudy and Sonic. :>

TRANSMISSION FROM @beastincidents : 💌 big wet puppy dog eyes TRANSMISSION ENDED / POSITIVITY TRAIN , ACCEPTING .
VIXENNNN it's ur turn now my dude let's do this
what i like about your blog: if anyone tries to tell you that simplicity doesn't fly in tumblr rp anymore, tell them to eat their fucking pants because you don't need to be fancy with fancy graphics and icons and tags and writing to be good. and you are AMAZING. your blog is so easy to navigate, your writing style is phenomenal, and it's so easy to understand what it is you're going for? i appreciate your straightforward writing with your responses for SURE because my silly little brain sometimes gets a little lost otherwise. but seriously. i'll eat whoever says you gotta look cool to be cool.
what i like about your character(s): honestly, i love seeing the way all of your muses interact with each other? not always directly, they don't have to be direct, but like in small instances during a thread where you're explicitly writing one character but mention the other characters inside it - that kind of inclusion! and it's cool to see your specific portrayals interact with each other and expanding on canon. well, what little canon there is for class b. that is an actual travesty (and you're the core reason i think they deserve WAY more screentime than they've gotten. horikoshi at least bring monoma back i beg).
for specific characterisation, i can't go without mentioning your monoma. the silly, the goofy, the myth and legend; he pushes EVERY BUTTON katsuki has in every interaction they have, and it's just. it's so funny. it's like they're destined to never truly get along because of their differences. but then when you keep putting them in situations where they have to, they actually kind of do, mostly out of necessity but because - on katsuki's end, at least - katsuki wants to prove that he can work with monoma despite their clashing. they actually have a complex sort of bond because of that!
that being said, i absolutely want to interact with tokage and ibara more. tokage because she and katsuki went toe-to-toe in the joint training arc, and i'd like to see the two leaders with two very different approaches really learn from each other kinda thing? and ibara, because she's kickass. and katsuki could learn a thing or two from him. namely having patience. (i think the two of them would make some really fun interactions!)
what i like about you in general: vixen PLEASE you are so fun to have on the dash because i think you have an awesome sense of humour, and not to mention i love to see you throw out headcanons that seem very out-of-nowhere, but also make perfect sense for that specific muse? and i know we haven't talked much outside of tumblr either, but the times that we did talk was a lot of fun, and i loved bouncing ideas off of you! overall, 10/10 humour, i think you're a great person to talk to, and i hope to keep writing with you for however long i have katsuki fr

Public Domain is everything. The all encompassing freedom of Public Domain has never been more clear than in the horror genre. Poe, Lovecraft, Shelley, Verne, Stoker, Leroux- all up for grabs. But that doesn’t mean they’re the only ones getting the living touch of fear. Horror is bolstered by Public Domain, expanded by it, and it makes for some wild movies. Filmmakers lovingly poking at non-spooky classical literature is how you get fun little things like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016). People wait with bated breath on their tippy toes to lampoon the stories they love by adding a little bloody flair. I can't wait to see what people do with Mickey Mouse. While these movies or books may not always be the best, they’re always worth a smile. But some people just end up bespoiling well known properties with what seems to be very little thought.
And that’s how we get thing like Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
Where do I even begin here. This movie was a mess. First of all, Pooh and Piglet are the only two members of the Hundred Acre Wood who appear. Instant disappointment. Is it too much to ask that we get to see Eeyore go crazy and attack some unsuspecting young folk? You know behind all that ho-hum attitude there's got to be some rage brewing. What about Owl? Terror from above and ambush attacks oh how I wanted for thee. Kanga and a now grown Roo could have had some freaky mother/son crap going on. I mean it's a horror movie that actively corrupts these characters, so why not throw in a little weird anthropomorphic animal incest? Roo always was quite attached to his mother. Rabbit could have been unnaturally fast, a speed killer, nothing but a blur before victims were tugged off the screen to their untimely demise. Plus the munching? Rabbits are munchers. Imagine big Rabbit munch crunching on bones like they were carrots. Gopher could have been a knock-out, huge mounds of earth moving towards someone until he snatched them up like he was a giant worm in Tremors (1980). That's just off the top of my head.
These are things that could have related the characters to their original properties, which the movie doesn't even do for the only two characters from the Hundred Acre Wood that are actually in it.
Tigger. Tigger was not in this movie. I am livid just thinking about it. I don't like to swear too much when I write my silly little spook studies, but honestly what the fuck? What the fuck! He is a tiger! You know, one of the deadliest ambush predators in existence? On average they apparently kill 1800 people every year. He could have been Shere Khan times a thousand. Plus he bounces? That would have been freak city. It just felt like one of Blood and Honey's many missed opportunities. They could have each had one amazing kill apiece, the body count in this movie was certainly high enough for it. Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Eeyore, and Gopher I can understand not using, even though Roo was always my personal favorite.
No Tigger though? Unfathomable. Tigger got his own movie. I know the full group is big and maybe too much to tackle, but Tigger is such a popular character it felt weird that he wasn't in this. We get Pooh and we get Piglet. Two characters must mean they both must look amazing, though, right?
Wrong. The design for them was bad, plain and simple. It really grinds my gears thinking of all the wasted potential of having Blood and Honey be a Milne property. It could have been so campy and weird and fun and instead we got two guys walking around with masks on. They looked like a couple of friends put together Halloween costumes for 'scary Pooh and Piglet' and splurged on the good masks. The rest of the costuming consists of clothes you might find in your weird uncle's closet. There were no alterations to any part of them below the neck. They had human feet, human hands, and human mannerisms. Pooh is wearing overalls. Piglet is fully dressed as well, but at least his clothing is worn. Pooh's plaid shirt, on the other hand, looks practically brand new. The only clothing Pooh should have been wearing is a tattered red crop top. Piglet should have been naked. I mean how gross would that have been? Naked Piglet, hog out, goring you to death. Now that would have been a good time!
Money was almost definitely the issue. When faced with a movie that was as much of a let down as this one, sometimes it's hard to remember to take those things into account. Less money, less cast, less effects. 'Shoe-string budget' might even be too generous to describe what the cost of this movie. But it isn't necessarily about the money you have, rather where that money goes. I think Tigger should have been budgeted for. Maybe lower the body count, which saves on actor pay, costuming pay, and special effects pay. Keep it to one or two simple locations with minimal travel. With unfathomably small budgets like the one for Blood and Honey, it might have been beneficial to tighten it up even more. Shrink it, contain it, make it more intimate. Blood and Honey felt too big for its britches. Perhaps there should have been more focus on the costuming, makeup, and effects that might have gone into our childhood comfort characters. I'm very passionate about the practical elements in movies, so these designs were totally disappointing to me.
I've spent a lot of time talking about things this movie didn't do, which can be a bit unfair considering the constraints of budget and production. I try my best to take movies as they are presented, but Blood and Honey gave me so little it makes it easy to talk about what might have been. Why not this, why not that. But let's get back into what the movie was.
The story, unfortunately, wasn't strong enough to make up for the lackluster creature designs. In typical Christopher Robin fashion, he eventually grows up and says goodbye to his friends. He had always brought sweets and tea with him, but upon his cessation they can't provide for themselves, go crazy and, for lack of a better term, become cannibalistic. They eat poor Eeyore.
Is it cannibalism if they're eating a member of a different species? Not really, but I think that's probably the best way to describe it. They eat him because they begin to starve.
Pooh, who notoriously scavenges for honey and should be hibernating anyway starves. Rabbit, who has his own garden and would stockpile for winter starves. Gopher would eat roots, Owl would hunt for small prey, both starving. Kangaroos eat mushrooms, among other things, and they both still starve. Piglet is potentially the only ones who would have difficulty providing for himself just because pigs need a rich diet and a lot of food. But in the source material they have a communal table, and even feed Christopher Robin. But there's no gory family meal here; it turns out they cannot live without the food he brought with him. Real animals can and do become food dependent on humans, but these characters are not fully animals. The movie even tells you so, calling them abominations. They have human intellect! They have a community. They built houses. They swing knives and hammers around with deadly intent. But they can't do farming. Seems they can eat ass with the best of them, though.
While we see Eeyore's munched upon skeletal remains, there's no explanation for the rest of the group being missing. Were they eaten, frozen to death, or killed by a hunter? If the movie did tell me I ended up missing it, which was no surprise because guess what? They do not speak! They don't fucking speak! Why isn't killer Pooh "hoo-hoo"-ing? Where were the rumblies in his tumbly before he ate someone? That iconic voice coming out of a huge man-bear as he kills? Come on. I mean it's right there! Honestly I felt like so many issues with this movie could have been solved if they were given dialogue. Every member of the Hundred Acre Wood talks, that's just part of it.
Christopher Robin wasn't just imagining his adventures either. His friends are real. So where was the camp? Beloved early childhood characters turned killers is such a fun idea, so where was the fun? Why did it feel like this movie wanted it to be taken so seriously? It's Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, not Deliverance (1972).
Upon being "abandoned" by Christopher Robin, they grew resentful of humanity and eventually turned into killers of people, not just depressed donkeys. This makes enough sense, except they're active serial killers and have been for what seems like years. They plot, kidnap, and torture with intent and there's a slew of unsolved murders and disappearances in the Hundred Acre Wood. This suggests the Wood is traversed regularly enough to at least find some bodies. So why does anyone go there anymore? How many people have to die for the Wood to be fully canvassed? Why was there a huge mansion right on the edge of it, which our completely forgettable human characters rent?
Given the evidence, it should have been easy enough for law enforcement to find their little encampment, it isn't like it's hidden or invisible. Plenty of characters go there, too, so it isn't only accessible to children. That could have been interesting, if you needed the eyes of a child to get there. Plus, it would have forced the introduction of a character who's representative of the source's target age group, making it easy for the viewer to relate to their younger self- the version that actually watched or read Winnie the Pooh. Everyone in Blood and Honey is a young adult or older.
By far the biggest travesty of all is that Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey isn't a monster movie, it's a slasher movie. Every one of Christopher Robin's friends is an animal, but the filmmakers decided not to make a monster movie. Why even bother with the property, then? Pooh is running around with knives and weapons, doing hand-to-hand combat, drowning people. Folks, he drives a car.
He drives a car.
Insane. Absolutely insane.
I mean what in the hell? They are strange chimeras, amalgamations of human and animal. Blood and Honey leaned so heavily into human that they hardly seemed like animals at all. This also doesn't make much sense within the logic of the movie. Pooh can drive a car and stalks kids with the intention to scare, torture, and kill them, but god forbid he figures out scavenging or farming for food. Sure, Piglet munches down on some people, but only after tying them up or fighting them. A home invasion slasher movie. Villains in proverbial "Cabin in the Woods" movies can be basically anything- killers, monsters, aliens, animals, cannibals, demons, witches, gods, the Devil, viruses, zombies, werewolves, ghosts, mistaken perceptions, oneself, children, mental instability, Nazis, Kathy Bates- see what I'm saying? It was always going to be a cabin in the woods movie because it's set in the Hundred Acre Wood. That didn't mean it had to be a slasher.
Perhaps the filmmakers thought how serious it was would be funny enough on its own; it shouldn’t have been hard to make this satire. But if that was what this movie was going for, it didn’t land for me. There just wasn't much use of the source material. That was honestly the most frustrating thing. I kept waiting, and the Winnie the Pooh of it all never made an appearance. Why didn't he get caught in a window? Why wasn't he gulping down human blood from a honey jar, the label 'honey' crossed out for 'human?' Why couldn't he like, I don't know, control bees or something? Piglet turning into just a wild boar would have done it for him. Imagine Pooh and his pet Piglet on a leash. Hilarious, weird, a joke on how attached Piglet is to Pooh. The things that could have been!
Still, there were plenty of kills with plenty of blood, which was a saving grace. They had decent enough effects and were all pretty unique. Some of them are right gnarly, and that's always a plus for a horror movie. While many of the kills did make me laugh, just having the killers be Pooh and Piglet wasn’t quite enough. It was a constant string of asking 'what?' because there was just zero connection to Milne's works. They didn't talk so there were no zingy one-liners or tongue-in-cheek references. It was played too much like a straight slasher movie. Again: why a slasher and not a monster movie? Crush my dreams, why don’t you. I think it wanted to be satire, but where were the references? Where were the jokes? Where was the camp? Where was the hightened reality? I kept rolling my eyes: 'That's guy's not Winnie the Pooh,' 'What does this have to do with Winnie the Pooh?' There was no Pooh or Piglet about them, they were just dudes in masks. It's just a mask. It's just a mask!
They could have been switched for the guys from You're Next (2011) and I don’t think you would have needed to change a thing. The killers in You're Next even wear animal masks. So what's the point of having it be a Pooh property? There was no reason for them be from the Hundred Acre Wood other than to say they were. It felt like first-time writer/director/editor/producer Rhys Frake-Waterfield had written a slasher movie, then once Winnie the Pooh entered public domain he just tossed them in without changing anything. He also maybe took on too many jobs for this movie.
There's low budget, and then there's doing four different jobs yourself. Outside opinions and suggestions are essential to movie making. Producers think about what will attract audiences and money. Editors have an additional artistic eye and the conversations between they and the director almost always make for better movies. Quentin Tarantino used editor Sally Menke in every one of his movies until her passing because she got it. The original Star Wars trilogy was probably saved by George's then wife and editor Marcia Lucas if the post-divorce prequel trilogy is anything to go by. (Please don't come for me Star Wars fans.)
These were collaborations. A director needs outside opinions. Needs more than one pair of eyes looking at the final product. That goes double if they are also the writer. Killing your darlings is hard if no one is telling a writer where their own story is lacking. It's good to have a singular vision, but movies by nature are a cooperative work. So where was the behind-the-camera cooperation?
And just a little thing: it's the Hundred Acre Wood, singular. Not the Hundred Acre Woods, plural. Steam is coming out of my ears. Stuff like that kills me dead, because it makes it seem like no one even cared enough to check the name. And if they did, they didn't care enough to make it right. Why make it Winnie the Pooh at all? What's the point if you aren't going to pay attention to the details?
Despite my dislike, I truly hope Rhys Frake-Waterfield keeps making movies. It’s clearly something he wants and loves to do. I just think in ten years he’ll look back on this movie and cringe. Because it was cringe-worthy. I don’t enjoy disliking movies like this because the people who make horror tend to be very passionate about it.
I wanted this movie to be good, or at least a funny, entertaining bit of trash horror. I really wanted it to work. For a wide array of movies, people go in expecting it to be good. With most horror, however, people go in expecting it to be bad. See the difference? I try hard to give every horror movie I see the benefit of the doubt: sure it looks bad, but until it comes out I’m assuming it’s good. Because you never know!
Then I found out whether this movie was a good one, a so-bad-it’s-good one, or a bad one.
This movie was bad. For me it wasn’t even so-bad-it’s-good. The heartbreak of it all. I’m sure there’s more to be said, but I’m just sick and tired of even thinking about it; I this movie was that much of a let down. Not for me. I’m angry over it, frustrated, and a little bit baffled. How did this happen? I grew up with Pooh and friends, like many of us did, and I think we deserved a better horror movie about them than this one. I just kept asking why. Why, why, why.
How to even end this write-up? I didn't even mention how bored I was for the duration, either. Eye-rolling. It just stunk. It was hardly good for a laugh, there was no point to it being Winnie the Pooh, no references, no satire, no camp, no fun, no point of view, no nothing. It was a big fat wad of nothing. The idea was so wasted on this movie it felt like it wasn't used at all. Honestly it might have been better if it had just been two regular-degular killers. This movie was so disappointing and I disliked it so much I'm going to be a bit mean: Rhys Frake-Waterfield should be embarrassed. I would be. He just didn't seem to know how to use the characters.
Am I being a bit harsh? I don’t know, probably. But it just didn’t do it for me. Should I tell you to check it out? I don’t know. Maybe stoned? But I was stoned so what does that mean? Perhaps it was so not my taste that I’m missing something. I hope there are people out there who totally love this movie. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them.
I'd give this a zero if I didn't believe in my self-imposed rules about rating on one to five. To that note, in my book Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023) gets an obvious 1/5.

The sun had the bright blue sky to itself. It made the sea glitter in different shades of gold. This scenery was just beautiful... A sight that even Aaron Hotchner's behavioral analysis team was able to enjoy. Although it was a barely happening, Hotch and his team were gifted with a few days of vacation. What was even more surprising was the way how they decided to spend their days off. The whole team had gone to Miami to the beach together! But as always, each of them had their own definition of fun.
"Reid, now come out of the shadow and let this stupid umbrella be! Put on a swimshorts and start to have a bit fun!", Morgan shouted to his best friend. You could hear in his tone that this wasn’t the first time he had asked him to leave his place. While Derek waited, he threw a volleyball from one hand to the other and back to the first hand again. However, Spencer didn’t move from his place and shook his head. "No thanks! I feel pretty comfortable here.", the young agent replied. "In addition to that, I don't want to risk getting burned! Sunburn can lead to pigmentation disorders, skin cancer or-" The last words got stuck in his throat, because Morgan threw the volleyball at him. Protectively, Reid raised his hands in front of his face and the ball bounced off his forearms. "Ey!", Spencer immediately complained and threw the volleyball unskillfully back to his colleague, who grinned at him. Morgan didn't feel the great need to listen to one of Reid's long lectures when he was on his vacation. Of course, it was part of Reid's personality, but right now Derek didn't need it. He wanted summer, sun and sunshine! Laughing, Morgan caught the ball and casually shrugged his shoulders. "okay then.", he said, before joining JJ, Emily and Penelope to join them and a group that wanted to play beach volleyball with them. As soon as Derek turned his back on him, Spencer put his nose back into the book he was currently reading. He never really wanted to do sports and today still was not the day! Calmly, he concentrated on his science fiction story again.
Not far from Reid, Hotch and Rossi sat in the sand and played Jack, who enjoyed the beach vacation with his father to the fullest. After all, it was a rarity for Jack to spend so much time with his dad! That's why he hung on to Aaron every second. The fact that Uncle Dave also wanted to play with them did not let time lose any value. The more the better was Jack’s motto for those days. At the beginning it was the case that Rossi and Hotch had sat down with Jack and watched him build his sandcastles. But this project was escalated quickly! Now the three of them built a gigantic sand city, which they restlessly expanded. In the middle of the city stood a half-empty cocktail glass. It belonged to Rossi, but he had completely forgotten about it while building the city! So it stood in their small sand town and seemed to be something like the the beach village’s landmark, especially since it stood out so much by the colors of the juices. However, it was ignored because Jack, Hotch and Rossi were focusing more on expanding their city!
There was a playful atmosphere among the colleagues and friends. Each of them enjoyed their freedom to the fullest and also the distance to work did the agents good. By now it was advanced afternoon! The day was coming to an end. But when Morgan's gaze fell on the still-reading Reid, his eyes caught a mischievous sparkle. He immediately nudged JJ, Emily and Penelope to make them aware of his best friend. At first, the women didn't understand what Derek was up to. Then he leaned forward and whispered what he was up to. Now their eyes lit up too! They were passionate about this little prank of Derek’s. So they sneaked up on Reid, who did not suspect anything and did not noticed them. As soon as they reached their friend, everything happened so fast for Spencer! Garcia grabbed Reid's book while Morgen, Prentiss and JJ lifted him up. Before Spencer had even understood what was happening, they had carried him away from his chair and thrown him into the water. Heavily breathing, Reid came back to the surface of the ocean to see Emily and JJ pushing his best friend into the water as well. Penelope watched the whole thing laughing, but she did not expect Morgan to reach out at her. So Garcia also had to fall into the cool water.
All of these events caused the FBI agents to quickly turn into big children and splash water at each other, push each other back into the sea, and also dip each other in it. In the meantime, even Rossi, Hotch and Jack joined them to be a part of the full-blown water battle.
When the sun kissed the sea, the great water battle of Miami ended. Soaked, exhausted, but happy, BAU packed up its things. Then the eight made their way back to the hotel. Although it was their last day in Miami, but this thought could not harm their mood! Happily chatting, they met again at dinner. So a beautiful day and a relaxing holiday slowly settled out...
