I think it's like implied but never explicitly stated in the musical that Dillamond isn't being callous for mispronouncing Galinda's name but he physically can't, on account of being a goat. In the movie he plainly states that he lacks upper front teeth so some words give him trouble. Which is probably an important distinction.

I think the message gets a little mixed up in the musical, especially with Elphaba's line "maybe the pronunciation of your precious name is not the sole focus of Dr Dillamond's life" insinuating that she's the asshole for correcting someone on how her name is said (which is a perfectly acceptable thing to ask for) rather than the fact that she's demanding that somebody with a speech impediment who is try their goddamn best try fucking harder. Granted, that line still exists in the movie but the no upper teeth thing helps a lot.

sometimes i think about that tale i heard while at Outdoors Camp in yosemite wherein all of the tents in our campground were set up to have two twin mattresses and one queen sized mattress for two people, housing four people in total. since we all had sleeping bags for the trip it was literally whatever for most people, i shared the queen with one of my friends. however, apparently one group of my male classmates were so No Homo about the whole situation that instead of having two of them share the queen bed they apparently both slept on the floor of that tiny fucking tent?? not even one of you was gonna take the mattress? def going to at least take notes for the gems (thought abt doing the sands, but with that i think its generally easier to figure out how theyre created/why they’re where they are, like yknow the bosses are made of the sands and i could see extra bits either being deliberately scattered or maybe just appearing around the seas as a result of monsters being killed, not too fancy since we’re kinda directly given the rundown on the sands) but with the heart containers since theyre such a game-mechanicy bit and ofc a staple of the series i wont give them as much (or possibly any) attention since im trying to piece things together in terms of world building and character details.

Like idk about anyone else but if I see something with my name on it, I'm def not just going to ignore it, cause that's your name, yknow? It's purpose is to get your attention. Instead he immediately went to a invitation. And if you weren't Cellbit you'd probably just think the feathers are cute decorations. But somehow Cellbit's first thought was to ignore everything that just happened, to not even think about that fact that he might partially be responsible for a workers death and worry about what the feds might do to him, worry about them questioning his loyalty, and instead he decided to obsess over this invitation.

Ik Cellbit likes puzzles but this seems a little extreme even for him. Tbf I don't watch streams a lot so I don't know Cellbit that well but it's just... His goal is to investigate the federation and get answers about the island and obsessing over this invitation instead of wondering why the fuck this worker fell to their death seems odd.

Where do you get most of your autism info?

oo good question,, tbh a lot of stuff i just know cuz my both my brothers are diagnosed + my best friend growing up has it, so a lot of stuff i just kinda absorbed over the years from my family + friends. usually with factchecking that stuff i just google it and scan a couple sites that look trustworthy to see if it's something that seems widely agreed on or not before i say it conclusively

for specific online sources, i know the autism self advocacy network has a lot of good info, and embrace autism is also good. also spectrumnews.org and autistic women and nonbinary network <- these r all as far as i know but also i havent done like, a full background check on all of them so i might be incorrect

i think the main thing is double checking anything from social media or any article/news story/whatever with big red flags- it definitely varies and most of these things arent like, 100% indicators that something is wrong, more that the source might be biased or ableist or just outdated. but for me big red flags are -> allistic writer/speaker insisting on person-first language (tho thats still very common in psych spaces unfortunately), calling autism a "disease"/"epidemic" or saying it needs to be cured, the puzzle piece logo and "light it up blue" (red instead is the alternative movement for that, it's for autism Acceptance rather than awareness which is the movement with weird ableist undertones (overtones?)), that sort of thing. also checking for things written by autistic people or with imput from autistic people

also academic papers can be super dense (and somewhat ableist tbh) but they also have good information sometimes, so again just checking and seeing if there's other sources for stuff & if those look reputable

+ id say just in general be especially careful with stuff on social media bc ppl will Lie or misinterpret stuff or misremember or whatever and misinformation gets spread very very quickly . but also community is nice & can be incredibly helpful so it's difficult to completely disavow it yknow .

but yeah a lot of stuff ive learned from my family & friends over the years, and dont have super good specific sources for learning that sort of thing other than just hanging out with autistic people and absorbing stuff via osmosis HAHA but i hope some of that helps :}

Ok so people DO talk about it but only how bad the early episodes and such are. Sad! I actually watch the show yknow. Well, time to say random things about it!

- first of all I hate to start with something negative but many old object shows have flaws and I cannot stand how much fatphobia there is in Object Illusion 😭 like I love the show but chillax guys. Who cares how big Gumball is I love her

- Also there was supposed to be a reboot or something but I haven’t heard any updates on it in years, I will say I am not interested, like if it comes out I’ll check it, but like, only two of the old contestants will be there? Might as well make a new object show! If you’re replacing the entire cast it’s not really a reboot, unless the show has a totally unique formula that will stay in the reboot, which Object Illusion doesn’t. Like just say you’re making a new show

- NOW TO ACTUALLY SAYING HOW MUCH I LOVE IT!!! Romance in object shows is very underused, and Object Illusion has a big focus on it. Sure, it’s kind of childish cringey straight af romance, but it’s something different from your typical object show, and it was finally starting to get interesting!!! I miss it man……

- Police Hat was totally gay for Oreo. Like… bro REALLY didn’t want Oreo to focus on girls… was always around Oreo and even stalked him… got unreasonably mad at Pudding Cup for breaking Oreo’s heart… idk there was something gay about Police Hat

- also I get they probably wanted to do Pudding Cup x Oreo but in my ideal world they would become besties instead. Pudding Cup deserved better treatment also

- the Fireaxe Sandwich and Lemon alliance was my FAVORITE I loved them so much. Absolute worst trio they all voted each other the first chance they got. I’m so sad that they did that tho

keeping track of things are fun. for example I saw a video of someone mentioning how they liked haikyuu since some exact day in 2020 and yet even if I wanted to, I could not make this trend as yknow, bad memory

all I know is that I started watching haikyuu soo after yuri on ice ended and before becoming a full on kpop stan for the last time which was 8th of march 2017 and since yoi ended right before new year so me becoming a fan could have happened anywhere between January and early February but even then its a big maybe and I could be misremembering the starting point. but I remember yoi and haikyuu season 3 ending on the same month and being very confused seeing people talking, so it can't be earlier.

this would not be an issue if I could have kept track. but then how would I know that I'd love it right then? I watched the first season of knb in the summer of 2022 and then dropped it until this fall and here we are now (there has also been a way earlier attempt before 2022 but it was somewhere on the random day and i watched like 3-4 episodes) so which of those should I count then?

I used to download anime back then, so there might be a way to find some more accurate date, but also, I don't even have that laptop I used for watching it, and files have been moved. I could have also watched it on the phone. who knows. at this point, it's been over 7 years already, 14 yo me was an idiot in more way than one

in the broadest strokes, it’s an omegaverse fic set in the 2028 season after charles had just returned to the sport following a 3 year hiatus at the start of the 2025 season. lestappen are kinda exes but also kinda not because they had to have been in an actual relationship to be exes. there is a child oc that looks a lot like max but with charles’ eyes. he is 3 years old.
