Do you know how, many animals are not allowed to breed naturally, because they might hurt the female, so it’s mostly artificially done.

With that said, I have a few ideas!:

1) Mer Ratchet is way too precious to be breed like a common animal, but they still have to retrieve the seed from a very irate Drift. They place a cycling Ratchet in a special container, small, made of two separate layers of thick, metal bars, similar to those cages used to “swim with sharks”.

The double layer is to make sure Drift can’t reach in with his spike(spikes?).

When Drift is rutting against the cage, someone has to get close and use a fake valve to get his transfluids. Usually, being this close to Ratchet while he’s in heat is all it takes for Drift to go completely nuts, and he’s kinda approachable. The problem is taking Ratchet out, Drift would cling to the cage. Fortunately, several orgasms later, Drift is way too tired and blissed out to really put out a fight.

Ratchet is also not super happy about being filled artificially, Drift was ready for that job! Never less, they get the result they want. The problem is, Drift is extremely hostile and not ready to be released as long as Ratchet is around…

She thinks you’re the hottest thing on Earth and is not going to go a second without reminding you.

She’s a pretty conflict adverse person when it comes to interpersonal relationships, which might cause issues in your relationship. If something makes her unhappy she’ll just kind of bottle it up for fear of upsetting you.

As for labels, York doesn’t really care what you call him or what he calls you. He’s your boyfriend? Cool. He’s your partner? Yeah okay. Your lover? Sure why not. He doesn’t really do pet names, but he will give you a nickname, and it will be a shortened version of your own name.

Her first bird is Mortimer, an Umbrella Cockatoo she rescued from a pretty awful home :( She found him in an exotic pet store and just kind… knew she wanted him. He’s very loyal but is a bit of a wimp, especially when it comes to vet visits and baths

Second bird is Beatrice, a Hyacinth Macaw she bought from a breeder. Beatrice is a very dramatic, petty bird, but Adeline honestly loves her for it.

Her last bird is Lukyan, an Eclectus parrot! She was offered him by a neighbor in her apartment that was moving out and needed to re-home him. Without much question, she took him in.

All of her birds are MORE than precious to her. She talks to them like they’re people and treats them as such, making sure they have all the room and toys they could ever want.

She loves talking about them and shows off her injuries from them like they’re some sort of trophy. She always has at least one on her shoulder, if not all of them somewhere near her. She has a hired sitter for them when she’s out (probably just a neighbor of hers or a friend) and adores educating people about them.

The first time she met Mortimer he nearly bit her finger off. He was so raggedy and scared, with plucked feathers and tired eyes.

Beatrice was kept in the tiniest cage imaginable, having faded colors and lots of scarring on her stomach and feet.

Lukyan was so frail and skinny when she took him in. She cursed the neighbor that gave him to her out when she saw the state he was in, happy to have them moving out.

She treats these things more like family than pets. They have their own room, set up with a treat dispenser separate cages and bathrooms, the whole shebang. Cannot express how well she does taking care of them, sometimes putting their luxuries over her own.

They have spa days and a really well set routine. Her neighbors kinda hate her for the noise but she (somehow) gets away with it (she bribes their tenant)

And yes, she did teach all of them how to say swear words.

I thought I had replied to you, but here we are. With this reply, I take the opportunity to spoil you that the new chapter will be out by tomorrow morning (in a maximum of 12 hours, to be clear), and that in two days at most a one-shot inspired by the movie will be out, but no spoilers, so in case you get bored, I hope to fill your days a bit.

That said: it made me laugh that you had predicted it because that chapter was written months ago, and on one hand, every time I write a silly chapter, I say "okay, today we're going light," but on the other hand, it all makes sense. Simply put, in the previous chapters, Dew talked about Rain's imprinting, how Rain had become attached to him, became very protective towards him, and gradually managed to make him completely settle in. What Rain is now doing is imprinting with Phantom (and if you reread the first chapters, it also makes sense). Before the quintessence incident, Rain was the one Phantom bonded with, and when after the incident Rain bonded with the reader, Phantom was consequently excluded, obviously not intentionally. Similarly, the second attempt at imprinting is happening with a human, so instead of behaving like a demon or a cat or whatever, it's more human-like behavior.

After watching the movie, I know that Kevin is really a dork, so I'm glad I included that silly scene, same for the ghouls insulting each other.

As for the designs, I'm still trying to find the style that works best, but I'm working on it because I really adore the ghouls, I can't not draw them.

the multiple trans flags + gwen's whole speech about hiding her identity while trans colors shift in the background is the main points but like the more i think about it the more i see how gwen's whole story is so trans coded it's blowing my mind

like spoilers ig, but her dad being so anti-"spider" that she can't tell him, and then when she does have to come out she begs him to understand only to get rejected and have to run away from home feels so much like a trans narrative it's crazy.

even littler things, like idk how universal this is but the moment you can see the trans flag appear in her room comes just as she's opening her secret hiding spot for all her spider stuff, and it reminded me so much of the bag of girl clothes and makeup I got from friends in college that i had to then hide under my bed when i went home so my parents wouldn't find it

Here’s a quick little piece I wrote! I imagined how cute it would be if Erin opened up to Jamie and told her she was her first kiss, and the two had an intimate, open conversation. I really adore their dynamic so I wanted to explore it further here:

“You’re cute when you’re flustered,” Jamie said, grinning wide.

Erin blushed, the blood rushing to her head as her heart practically beat out of her chest. Did Jamie just say what she thought she said? It was something she always wished for.

“You think I’m cute?” Erin asked.

“Yeah, you’re super cute. I can’t stop thinking about kissing you,” Jamie said, leaning a bit closer. It was her turn to blush, but she hid it under her confident demeanor. Her flirty smile, the brightness of her eyes, and the way she took control nearly concealed her flushed face.

“I want to kiss you too,” Erin admitted.

God, she had a crush on Jamie for as long as she could remember. Ever since she started working for Charlie, Jamie had instantly caught her eye. Even on that first day, when Jamie had poked fun at her, making jokes that made her anxious heart race, Erin knew she was intensely attracted to her. Somehow being made fun of felt really good when Jamie was the one doing it.

Jamie was so obviously and outwardly into women, so Erin tried to drop hints that she was too. When they’d talk about movies they liked, music they listened to, Erin tried to casually express that she was solely interested in women, and a part of the community. Things went even better as the two warmed up to each other, and became friends. Being Jamie’s friend was a precious thing. The other girl always saved a spot for Erin, always made time for her, and always volunteered to carry her mic. It was these little things that made Erin think that maybe Jamie liked her back. When their hands touched, Erin would think ‘is this when she’s going to kiss me?’

There were moments of great tension, but nothing had happened…until now. And she felt simultaneously the most excited she’d ever been yet dreadfully unprepared.

As Jamie leaned closer, her lips hovering an inch away from Erin’s, she couldn’t help herself. She pulled back and instantly regretted it. Jamie tilted her head.

“What’s wrong?” She asked. “Did I misread the situation?”

Oh shit. She blew it. Erin felt the sweat run down her back. Fuck, she wished she was less nervous.

“No! Not at all. I want to kiss you really bad. I’ve had a crush on you for a while, it’s just…” Erin began, cutting herself off. She sighed, took a deep breath, and decided to be brave.

“It’s just…I haven’t kissed anyone before.” As the words left her mouth, she looked down, not wanting to meet Jamie’s eyes.

Erin’s body was tense, her shoulders hunched, limbs drawn in tight. She was expecting a laugh, a scoff, some comment that would make her want to crawl back inside her skin. She’d had crushes before, but her inexperience had stopped her from acting on them. Erin couldn’t help but think that people would look down on her. People were always observing how nervous she was, how shy, how well-behaved. She felt this inexperience would be one more strike against her, another reason to date a more confident or outspoken or bolder girl instead of her.

She was surprised when Jamie gently took her hand in hers, running her fingers over her knuckles. The motion was soft, soothing. It calmed her heart and she felt herself relax. Erin finally looked into Jamie’s eyes and saw something that eased all her worries. Jamie looked as nervous as she felt.

“Hey, it’s okay. That’s nothing to be ashamed of, Erin. I’ve only ever kissed two people before,” Jamie said.

Erin was surprised. She didn’t expect that at all!

“Really?” She asked.

Jamie smiled. “Yeah. You probably thought I was some player, and I can’t blame you. My confidence and snarky attitude is my armor. I built it up to protect myself from all the assholes in the world. It’s saved me from a lot of bullshit, but it’s not all there is to me.”

“I wish I could stick up for myself like you do,” Erin admitted.

Jamie looked surprised. “Erin, you’re stronger than you know. I’ve seen you hold your ground and put people in their place. You have a lot more confidence than you’d think. You might’ve been anxious meeting me, but I was nervous meeting you, too. You seemed so smart, so sure of what you wanted. I might not seem like it, but deep down I’m a bundle of nerves. Especially when I like someone.”

It was Erin’s turn to smile. “I make you nervous?”

Jamie nodded. “Yeah. The more interested I am in someone, the more nervous I get. Feel my heart right now,” Jamie took hold of Erin’s hand and placed it over her chest.

Erin felt Jamie’s heart quicken against her skin, felt its quick, steady beat beneath her fingers.

“I really want to kiss you right now,” Erin whispered.

“I really want to kiss you too. Since I’m your first, I‘ll be sure to leave a good impression.” Jamie said, and crashed her lips onto Erin’s.

Erin felt a shock of pleasure spread from her head down to her toes. Jamie’s mouth was warm and soft against hers, and Erin opened her mouth so she could have more access. Erin had doubted herself in her mind, but her body knew what to do. Her lips moved against Jamie’s, deepening the kiss. They parted and kissed again, quick, ravenous kisses transforming into slow, passionate ones.

When they parted again, Jamie looked deeply into Erin’s eyes.

“You’re a natural,” Jamie said.

“Thanks,” Erin said, the compliment sending a newfound wave of confidence through her. She waited a moment before saying. “There’s a lot more I want to try out too…”

Jamie grinned excitedly. “I can’t wait. We’ll discover what you like together.”

Jamie leaned in to kiss her again, and Erin melted under her touch.

Erin had never felt like this before. She felt so loved, so desired. She never wanted this to end. She wanted this moment to last forever.
