My friend and I saw the Winter's Tale in Boston Common put on for free by the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and I had a great time :D <3

This was my first time seeing one of their free admission shows that they do in the summertime. Next year I should definitely go again and bring a blanket to sit on and a dozen donuts

#cont #wasnt gonna specify what my location was while i was there obviously #the friend is my mutual on here but i will not expose them either <3 unless they reveal themselves willingly #yeah i had a lot of fun. the actor who played autolycus was VERY funny. it was a very good production #friend liked it too. they had never seen or read the play so i enjoyed talking about it w them #in the intermission i went on a tangent about how probably more than any other play i had seen a higher percentage of female directors #for titus andronicus. and i think i brought that up bc i was talking about jane howell #or no they brought up titus andronicus bc they were familiar w it and tried to read it when they were like 16ish and gave up #yeah i can see that.#i didn't read any shakespeare on my own till i was like 17 and the first time i read midsummer i...#i didn't 'give up' but i didn't read the play all the way through. i started and stopped and skimmed scenes #i started over eventually and read the play thoroughly and that was lifechanging but that was when i was 18 goin on 19 #i say that as your local shakespeare mutual. so if you've ever tried to read on your own and felt discouraged. youre not without hope!#but yeah.#what was i talking about???? that was VERY fun i had a wonderful time #that was also my first time seeing a shakespeare play in person bc i don't see many plays at all unfortunately #trying to amend that. if ur local then u should go see the winter's tale in boston common! it's showing for another week and a half #yeah and the fact that it's one of my favorite plays too made it extra special <3 #i am a heart-shaped diana
