Fanfiction is so weird

I'm trying to think of what ship/dynamic I'm gonna use for the next "overgeneralizing Sanders Sides fanfiction" post I'm gonna make, and my brain keeps returning to this Logicality fic I read when I was in high-school. It was a highschool or college yandere Logan fic, and he just straight up kills like 10 people over the course of the book. It was so well written (or well enough, anyway) that it made me physically ill to read (but then again that's probably the anxiety talking)

The sequel was even worse oml 😭 Logan and Patton ended up getting married and Patton developed some intense attachment issues from all the stress of his old classmates dying/disappearing. He ends up obsessing over Logan and goes on a yandere murder spree of his own 💀 it made me so UNREASONABLY ANXIOUS because he was NOWHERE near as careful as Logan was about things.

hi, don't worry if you don't know how to answer this questions, but I'm making a character and I want to make it part of their story that they have BPD, but I don't want to end up accidentally stereotyping and/or harming people with BPD and was wondering if there were any pointers you could give or any things that I should avoid doing or saying?

Some stereotypes I'd try to avoid is

Making the character abusive just because they have BPD. Not saying pwBPD never commit abusive actions, but it isn't inherently because of BPD. Just dont write a character that screams "borderline abuse ‼️" yk?

Make it seem like a cute thing or glorify it or romanticize it or some other word. Like, show the ugly parts of it too.

I think it'd be cool if you showed more of the dissociative bits of BPD in the writing too

Maybeee the yandere thing, cause i know some pwBPD really don't like it

We aren't really a writer, so we don't know that much about writing.

But there's also some characters who we think are BPD coded in our opinion, and have also seen other people think these charas are BPD coded, that maybe you could look to for reference?

Patton and Emile are poly yanderes, they are both in love with Remy and each other as well. They adore each other and go out on "missions" with each other. If they had to get rid of Remy's friends, it would take a while because Remy is quite the popular trait.

Remy has experienced both Patton and Emile flirting with null and likes them back, he quite often messages Remus about the two, pining. One day Remus tells Remy that null should just tell them already, in their favourite spot to hang out, the woods. Patton offered to drive the three there.

Remy asks the two to hang out, they gladly accept. When they get there Remy starts trying to confess but he keeps getting nervous and stumbling over nulls words, the trait accidently talks about Remus having a hand in it and Emile and Patt misinterpret it so it sounded like Remy was going to tell them Remus and him were dating

Before Remy knew it, null had an extreme pain in the back of his head and in the trunk of a car. The sleep trait never knew the two were yandere but after all the "dramatics" (the two confessing their love to Remy when null was tied up in a basement) he just didn't care.

Summary: a few weeks after escaping the house and moving in with Remy and Emile, Logan has still not gotten over everything that happened.

It was a cold November night. Logan had just finished his shift at the library and was about to enter the train station. As soon as he entered it, his glasses became foggy. He had to take them off and clean them. Just when he was about to put them back on, Logan heard a noise. Having been trapped in his own house for the last few month by his roommate, who he before then considered to be a friend he was a bit jumpy to say the least. So much that he dropped his glasses because of the noise. Panicked, he looked at the source of the noise only to find two people he didn’t recognize talking. One of them had dropped something, which was most likely the cause of the noise. A bit ashamed of himself, Logan picked up his glasses. The very same glasses his roommate gifted him after loosing his old ones. The old glasses he lost while almost falling off a roof... Patton had saved him... Logan really wanted to hate Patton for trapping him. He really did so so much. But he couldn’t... He had become really good friends with this man before they decided to move in together. Maybe even more. He really couldn’t understand how this oh so sweet guy turned out to be a psychopath... And yet he didn’t regret all the time he had spent with him... "Focus, Logan." He thought to himself and went on the next train home.

Notes: Sorry if it’s really short. This is part one of a small collection of stories I wrote last year. There will eventually be some Remile and Prinxiety within this story (within the next few chapters). If you want to be added to the @ list just ask me.

Yeah, Patton split Creativity. Yeah, he selected the parts he wanted to keep, and discarded the parts he didn’t. Yeah, he kept one twin close, and kept the other at a distance.

But which one was which? That, you’ve got all wrong.

Yandere!Patton wanted a playmate, somebody who could really appreciate his bloodlust and darkness, so he cherry-picked the best parts and rolled them into Remus.

Hide And Seek - Horror, Song Fic

@princeanxious​ had a request for Yandere!Patton and it reminded me of a song called “Smoke and Mirrors” and long story short I’ve been listening to creepy songs! I was inspired to write a short thing based off the song “Hide and Seek”.

Trigger warnings: Uh, this is meant to be creepy. Little girls from horror movies? Blood. Knives. Imprisonment. Let me know if I should add any more warnings.

I kinda wrote this on the spot and didn’t edit it, but let me know if you like it/what I can improve! Here’s the song:

A knock sounded on Virgil’s window, making him jump. He stared out into the dark night fearfully. A haunting tune drifted through the mindscape.

“Ding dong, I know you can hear me, open up the door, I only want to play a little Ding dong, you can’t keep me waiting, it’s already too late for you to try and run away I see you through the window Our eyes are locked together”

Virgil’s breath caught in his throat. He locked eyes with twin, red, glowing lights.

“I can sense your horror Though I’d like to see it closer Ding dong, here I come to find you, hurry up and run, let’s play a little game and have fun”

Virgil stumbled over himself to scramble away. He whirled around and sprinted out of his bedroom.

What is going on? This tune... does not bode well. I must find the others. Logan was shaking slightly, creeping through the dark hallways. He tried to surpress his fear. This was illogical - it was - frightening. He had to find the others or an adequate hiding place. The song seemed to circle around him, driving him slowly insane.

“Ding dong, where is it you’ve gone to, do you think you’ve won, our game of hide and seek has just begun I hear your footsteps Thumping loudly through the hallways I can hear your sharp breaths”

Logan froze in fear.

Virgil’s breath scraped at his throat.  shit shit shit shit horror movies were a bad idea shit where are the others?!

“You’re not very good at hiding”

A hand clasped over Virgil’s mouth. He tried to struggle, but to no avail. He was dragged into the commons and chained to the wall. Even as she drifted away. he struggled.  His wrists became bloody from struggling against the chains. Eventually, his body hung limply, eyes staring blankly at the floor.

She turned the corner, only to grin impossibly wide as fear filled eyes met hers. She lunged forward. Patton scrambled backwards, too terrified to even scream. Roman tackled the monster, sending her crashing into the wall as he took Patton’s hand and ran. She rose with a growl to pursue them.

“Just wait, you can’t hide from me, I’m coming

Just wait, you can’t hide from me, I’m coming Just wait, you can’t hide from me, I’m coming Just wait, you can’t hide from me Knock knock, I am at your door now, I am coming in, no need for me to ask permission”

Roman glanced fearfully out from his hiding place. He saw a sight that appeared to be from a horror movie. It stood outside of his door, but it was too dark in the room for her to see him.  Roman’s mind was racing. His breath caught in his throat as the haunting song echoed through the mindscape. He held Patton close, his body faced towards the closet door.

Logan spotted the monster gliding down the hallway slowly. Her feet didn’t even touch the floor. Long, black hair concealed her features, and a tatter white nightgown covered her form. Her dress was stained with blood. She casually held a knife in her hand. His breath caught when he noticed the fresh blood. She stopped in front of a door.

“Knock knock, I’m inside your room now, where is it you’ve hid, our game of hide and seek’s about to end I’m coming closer Looking underneath your bed but You’re not here, I wonder Could you be inside the closet?”

Patton’s face was streaked with tears. He had almost been caught once, and he had the injuries to show for it. Roman had saved him at the last moment, but now they were trapped. Not even Roman could fight this nightmare. They watched fearfully as the closet door creaked open. Roman stood up to protect Patton, and Patton opened his mouth to scream.

“Ding dong, I have found you Ding dong, you were hiding here Now you’re it Ding dong, finally found you dear Now you’re it Ding dong, looks like I have won Now you’re it Ding dong, pay the consequence.”

Logan knew what was happening as the lyrics rang through the mindscape, accomplied by a heart-wrenching scream. A spike a fear peirced his heart. Without taking even a moment to think, Logan was on his feet and behind the girl. He swung the nearest weapon - which happened to be a flashlight - at the back of her head. The girl screeched and turned on him.

“Logan!�� Roman screamed. The girl rushed forward, digging her knife into Logan’s body. His quick reflexes made her hit his shoulder rather than impaling his heart. Logan’s grunt of pain was enough to make Roman spring into action. He had no weapon, but he tackled the girl. She felt real as they tumbled to the ground. Her hair fell back to reveal red, glowing eyes and a black grin that split her face unnaturally.

Not far away, Patton’s scream shocked Virgil back to consciousness. The red glow of magic that had previously shrouded the chains began to flicker. Virgil pulled off the wall with more strength than he would have ever imagined he had. He fell to the floor, gasping. The chains were still around his wrists, but he was free and he didn’t have time to care about a few scrapes. He ran down the hallways, footsteps unconcealed and thunderous to his own ears. He rounded the corner and gasped. Roman had tackled the girl to the ground. Both Logan and Patton were injured. A deep, primal sound like a growl built in the back of Virgil’s throat. He stalked forward.

“Roman, move!” Virgil’s demonic voice startled the girl as well as the other sides. Roman rolled out of the way. Virgil punched the girl without hesitation. She stumbled backwards, stunned.

“Virgil, use the chains! Trap her!” Logan shouted. Virgil did as he was told, wrapping the girl’s small frame in the long chains that hung from his wrists. She bared sharp, yellow teeth at him. However, she was unable to move. The Sides let out a collective sigh of relief as the nightmare began to fade. The lights turned back on and the girl’s influence faded into shadows along with her form.

They were battered, but they were alive. They had beaten the nightmare. This time.

So seeing as this is unsympathetic Duke, I'm guessing Intruality is going to either be yandere or just toxic. May I request a {prompt}? Remus hears Patton wants to leave, and doesn't like that. He blackmails him to stay, and Patton refuses to listen. Remus ties him up and hurts him. Patton only stays because he thinks that's what love is... because when a psychopath likes you, leave is a word that doesn't exist. There is no leave. I'm sorry it's not perfect.

Remus had heard that Patton was going to leave... but he couldn’t let his crush go like that. Sure they hadn’t really talked much, but Remus was sure that Patton loved him too.

Remus stood in his basement staring at his love who was currently incapacitated, tied up, and blindfolded, but even then Patton was absolutely adorable.

Patton slowly came to and opened his eyes only to nothing, nothing but darkness. He tried to move but there were ropes around his wrists and ankles, “hello?” He called out confused and scared.

Remus went over and put a hand to the side of Patton’s face and pulled off his blindfold, “hello my love, i needed to talk with you.”

“What? Who... who are you?” Patton asked.

“I’m your true love, it’s me Remus. You probably just don’t recognize me. I needed to tell you not to leave.”

Patton blushed a bit, “my true love?” He hadn’t ever been in a relationship before or really experienced love.

Remus nodded, “you need to stay, don’t leave. If you do leave... I might have to hurt your friends.” He told Patton.

“Don’t hurt them. Please.”

“Then stay, and be my boyfriend?”

“I... I... um... ok, I’ll stay.” Patton smiled and leaned against Remus’ hand. He was scared... but didn’t love always involve a bit of fear?

Remember when I said he was clingy before, well now if you aren’t doing something where you can’t be held onto for you’re being held. Patton will always be touching you, or hugging you, or having you sit in his lap.

Patton is delusional and a bit clueless. He isn’t quite aware that his emotions shouldn’t be this intense. It’s best not to shatter this reality because he can become very unstable very quickly which will only make him more dangerous to others and you.

He makes you call him Dad, Papa, Dada, or even Father.(Not daddy, no, he learned his lessons with that)

You aren’t allowed to help much with baking with yandere Patton. You can stir food and help shape things, but you are NOT allowed anywhere near the oven or utensils because, “What if you hurt yourself!?”

Yandere Patton is way too over protective. He makes you use little kids utensils, hand feeds you, blows on your food, he’ll help bathe and dress you (it takes a LOT of convincing for him not to, and it’ll only work every once in a while), and he would’ve helped you with going to the bathroom but you fought really hard and had to give up other freedoms for him not to.

The other sides either won’t help because they’re also yandere, or because they don’t have to deal with the over delirious Patton, or because Patton threatened them, or because their convincing did nothing and it’s not like he’s hurting anyone. (pick your favorite reason why)

You aren’t allowed to watch anything too “grownup” or too mature.

Patton will get very upset and confused if you fight him or disobey or do something he doesn’t like. He eventually gets over it and starts giving out punishments.

Patton’s punishments usually involve being spanked, having your favorite items or activities taken away, being scolded (for very small things), or being “grounded” (being locked in a room with nothing but a bed).

Beg enough and be sweet and he’ll give you almost anything you want. He’ll even take you outside, though he’ll have a hold on you the whole time. Patton may even carry you, “so you don’t trip”.

Nicknames are given more often you’ll be called kiddo (obv.), sweetie, sweetheart, my dear girl/boy/child, sunflower, buttercup, little rascal, dreamchild, and other random names that pop into his head

He loves you so very much. Patton is somehow more scary and least scary of the sides as yanderes. Your best option is to let him do what he wants. Too much challenging will make him go crazy, so just let him love you.

If You Escape

If you do possibly find a way to escape he will literally lose his mind. He WILL find you and your escaping causes a huge lapse in his moral compass. Patton lost all self control after you’re taken. He WILL kill the person who helped (unless it was a side because then they’ll just be punished). His morals have crumbled and left a mess of obsession in its wake. 

He’ll regret killing them but he has you back an that’s all that matters.

Patton will punish you severely for leaving him. Your best bet is to lie and act your ass off telling him they took you unwillingly. If you convince him Patton won’t punish you, however he has practically lost his mind. He is 10x more overbearing. You aren’t even allowed to sleep alone anymore.

You’ll want to act nicer and be more careful because this “new” Patton is unstable and very dangerous.

Punishments with him after getting you back may include breaking your bones, killing people you love, starving you, and chaining you to bedposts or walls. He hates hurting you but he won’t risk you leaving him again. Even small slip ups can cause him to lose it and punish you.
