still can't believe how completely WRONG raven clocked charles and we never got any resolution to it!! she straight up hated him in dark phoenix (poorly written tbh since SHE was the one who trained the students after Apocalypse & came to the mansion demanding they get trained for battle). she hated him and there was no resolution between them!! no final understanding or conversation. she just died doing what charles said would kill her (fuck w Jean when Jean's powers were uncontrolled, just like how Jean killed her mom).

Raven was all about how it was so painful to hide her mutation yet it was Charles, ultimately, who ended up being the one who couldnt ever really express his ability- Charles was the one humans and mutants shunned. And he knew this, experienced it, and was trying to protect Raven from it. Just like he was trying to protect Jean. Sure, he wasn't perfect, but he was definitely never even close to villainous lol.

Charles' telepathy was horrifying to humans and repulsive to mutants, whereas Raven was seen as a hero by mutants & a freedom fighter empowered by her appearance by humans.

anyway im so mad Raven & Charles never got their sibling reconciliation. Charles (after the plane ride in DOFP) tried really hard to see Raven on her terms and their relationship improved - and Raven appreciated his understanding.

but then the writers of Apocalypse/Dark Phoenix crumpled that up instead of building on it.

what happened to "There's going to be a time, Hank, when we're all together" ?!?!? excuse me??

I think an overlooked tragedy that I don't see anyone talk about often enough is Cassandra Nova fully believed that her Charles didn't care for her enough to come looking. When, in fact, the truth is that he did not know he had someone (else) to care for.

We have already seen the things he would do for Raven — the extents he would go to for her, just to make sure that she was safe and happy and okay. We have also already seen the things he would do for fellow mutants, especially his X-Men. So, we know without a doubt, the kind of person Charles Xavier is.

So, there is no reason for Charles not to care for Cassandra unless ... he didn't know. Which, we can deduce, he didn't. Because if he did, it would be as Logan said — He would tear apart the universe to get to her, to get her home.

And it is such a sad and sickening thing to see what happened to the two of them. In another lifetime, perhaps the TVA would not have cut her off so quickly, and they would have been able to grow up side by side and grow into strong people together.

But in this one, Charles will never know his sister, and Cassandra will continue to resent her brother.

Maybe its just me, but the way Lily wrote a Doctor being fine and enabling Iris and Kiera in...basically everything wrong with their sisters relationship down the line is just...quite telling of what she thinks doctors should do and shouldn't so. She has Iris basically rely on Kiera to commuicate via...blinking and looks and points and Kiera's telepathy kicked in each time to speak for her sister, which any Doctor would take the obvious BS in Kiera getting full sentences out of blinking and looks and have Kiera removed from the room so they can focus on commuicating with Iris and helping her with ways to do so, but no, Kiera insists on how Iris hates being seperated from Kiera and they have to be kept together and....the doctor just takes Kiera's word for it, and allows Kiera to continue speaking for Iris without checking if its what Iris is saying. Almost like Lily hates that a doctor once said Lily and Courtney shouldn't be left in the same room together alone, which that situation is obviously different to doctors seeing what's caused Iris to go mute and then help her commuicate, but like, given how Lily throughout the fic is making it out like a sibling depending forever on another sibling and being way too close even for siblings is a good thing....

we as a society need to talk about Charles and Raven more. he brings her into his home and no it’s not always perfect and yes he could’ve done things better, but he also lets her go with Erik. lets her go and make her own choices even if they aren’t choices he agrees with. then he comes back FOR HER. he’s not ready to go the second Logan mentions Erik or when he says he’s from the future and provides proof. no, it’s the promise Raven will die that makes him agree. he goes back to a man he thinks is a MONSTER because his sister will die and she may be a monster. but she’s also the little girl Charles found in the kitchen and nothing she can do will change that.

This came from me typing in just a few details. Evidently, AI is not run by the likes of Simon Kinberg and Bryan Singer....

Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr were two very different people. Charles was a young, wealthy graduate student with an open heart and a bright mind. As a young teen, he had taken it upon himself to raise his little sister, Raven, after their parents had passed away. He was kind, generous, and intelligent, but also lonely and yearned for a larger family and an authority figure in his life.

Erik was a few years older than Charles and a hardened survivor of the Holocaust. He had become a Nazi hunter, driven by anger and a need for revenge. He was a stern, closed-off individual who kept himself distant from everyone.

One day, Charles and Raven encountered Erik in a park. Though Erik was initially wary and suspicious, Charles' kindness and Raven's innocence eventually melted his heart. Realizing he had found a family he could connect with, Erik became an older brother figure to both Charles and Raven.

The three of them grew closer and closer, and soon Charles had the idea to open a school for other children in need. With Erik's help, Charles was able to fund the school and provide a safe and nurturing environment for the students.

Though Charles and Erik started out as strangers, their common goal of helping others brought them together and forged an unbreakable bond. With their newfound family, they created a place of love, acceptance, and education for those who needed it most.

"I know that you took the things that mean the most to me" and "Maybe you should have fought harder for them" like....that's not about Raven. That's just not how you talk about a sibling. That's about Erik. Charles very explicitly (and understandably) feels he was abandoned, like Erik was able to just up and leave his life and take away the greatest love Charles had ever known without caring how much it hurt. And for Erik it's always been about wanting Charles to join him, wanting Charles to fight with him, maybe even wanting Charles to love him enough to say "screw the world" the same way Erik does. Charles is pissed because Erik took himself out of Charles' life on that beach and Erik is pissed because Charles chose the other side over him and let him go.

That's why enid had a crush on your brother, but you didn't really care, you wanted them together but your brother is to worried about you to even acknowledged enid which made you mad.

You told your brother first that you liked kent and then xavier because he walked in when you were talking to ajax. And they didn't really take it well.

"WHAT?!" ajax yelled when he first found out. "why would you like a siren?" xavier said, in a more calm tone. "'i'm going to give you so many reasons why you liking kent wrong!" they both said at the same time.
