This fic. This fucking fic, man. It’s got EVERYTHING.

The Modern College AU setting is rife with possibilities, and this takes wonderful advantage of that. I love the very mundane (comparatively, I mean their canon one is pretty unique) meet-cute, the developing friendship, and of course, when said friendship grows into something more. Even though Eddie is pretty smitten from minute one, but I can’t fault him for that - I’ve seen Steve with my own two eyes.

One aspect I love is their relationships with their respective besties. Steve and Robin is obvious, just like canon. Eddie and Nancy on the other hand… this is an interesting dynamic that I’d love to see explored more. Also Ronance is cute, as always.

The romance builds up slowly, but very believably. It’s Eddie’s POV, so you really get a good sense of his growing affection, much as he laments getting a crush on his straight best friend (lol, oh Eddie). Also, how nervous and flustered he gets. It’s adorable. It’s fun to see Steve be the more self-assured one in the courtship too. When he turns on that Harrington charm, it’s a wonder there are any survivors.

And the smut. The SMUT. The smut is GLORIOUS. Worth waiting for.

Definitely one of my favorite fics for this ship so far.
