          the sentiment certainly resonates with him ;  this abstract concept that one may not realize their own reality, even if it’s staring them in the face.  and yet  --  he cannot bring himself to admit how closely he identifies with it, not to himself and certainly not to a man he barely knows.  illya cannot recall when he accepted loneliness as his constant companion, but he knows for certain that it was before he was equipped to make such a decision on his own.  he lifts a brow, waiting one beat, then two, to answer.  when he does, his tone is almost eerily calm and even.   ❛   we are all alone.  it is easy to believe we are not, sometimes, but we are.  I recommend becoming accustomed to loneliness.   ❜
