So I got myself the Book of Bill as a special just-for-me treat for my birthday the other day. Exclusive Barnes and Noble edition and all.
Pulled off the dust jacket to see what the real deal looked like (I have a personal nitpick when there are barcodes and brand names and stuff you can't remove, breaks my immersion, not important for this story).
It's upside down.
The cover is on upside down.
I thought it was intentional. Because it would be JUST LIKE BILL to mess with the reader by telling them mid-book that everyone thinks they're reading upside down and, ergo, can't read.
Nope.
Genuine printing error.
This is hilarious.

My nickname is Silver Cipher.
I am 19 years old, and I’ve been diagnosed with Stage 4 Signet Ring Cell Adenocarcinoma of the Appendix. My dream is to have Alex Hirsch sign my cancer journal.
Gravity Falls has been a huge help since the release of The Book of Bill, and has been a huge comfort to me during my cancer fight. It has helped me emotionally more than I can express. The idea came from one of my friends, who drove to meet me before even knowing my name. They suggested I try to get a signature from Alex Hirsch. This is just a brief summary of my story that I would love to share with you all.
I meant for this to be an incredibly put-together message, but “Nothing in life makes sense, so you might as well make nonsense!”
Ford’s fight with Bill hits so goddamn hard. Chemo has just carpet-bombed my memory to the point where I completely black-out at times. During my 72-hour straight IV drip, I wake up to finding stuff I’ve done that I would NEVER do. I wrote things that I would never write. I drew things that I would never ever draw. The most notable drawings I have done are focused around the Eye of Providence and are surrounded—from top to bottom—by code I am still deciphering. This is terrifying to me and makes me feel like a spectator in my own body. Every single time it happens, it always takes me off guard no matter how prepared I think I am…
Chemo Me VS Regular Me Art (think you can figure out which is which??? -△)
However, the reason why I’m not quite as paralyzed with fear as I was is that whenever shit hits the fan, as embarrassing as it is to admit, to comfort myself I think about Stanford Pines. I think about how at the end of a long and hard battle with something indescribably wicked, he learned to trust people and got the support he needed. The path he treaded was full of pain, blood, and tears but he made it. The survival rate for my stage of cancer is catastrophically low on paper, but 6 is my lucky number. You can guess the reason, or I seriously question how you got into Gravity Falls in the first place!
I live and breathe this show, I live and breathe what Stanford Pines has gone through. I just need to make it past Weirdmageddon.
We appendix cancer patients have this crazy surgery which is known in the medical community as the “Mother of All Surgeries.” Most surgeons refuse to attempt it because of a lack of proven studies due to how few of us there are and how little research there is. The small sample size often causes it to be considered a crazy borderline pseudoscience! But it works. I know this because every Appendix Cancer survivor I met at our Pseudomyxoma peritonei (it’s shortened to PMP) Pals group introduces themself and then says that they owe their new lengthened life to as I like to put it, “Our Surgeon Soulmate”. This is my Weirdmaggedon.
HIPEC (the aforementioned surgery, Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy) involves cutting open the sternum to the groin, scooping out every single organ that isn’t necessary for survival, filling the space with liquid chemo, and then sloshing you around a little on the table so it all sets in (like a little cancer smoothie). Then they’ll drain it all out, sew you up, and wake you up. (I drew Ford doing it while on chemo—you can see it in the Imgur link-I also have zero memories of this, and it's hilarious-you gotta laugh at the pain or you will cry) The only way to relieve the crippling pain besides exceeding a survivable dose of painkiller is to get up. You have to get up and walk—I mean laps around the ICU. I’ve done it. The laps at least. All the hundred-some people at the conference have. It hurts like crazy but the only way to get better is to fight through it. It's either fight or die.
Welp! There’s your summary of puppet hour with Silver, and my own personal metal plate.
I have the proof to back this up, as I have been living with this since my diagnosis in March. Knowing all of you, some of you may have taken “Trust No One!” to heart, which is legitimate for a post like this. This was just a brief summary of my story that I would love to share with you all. I've censored my personal information, and pictures I'm sending, as well as my face and my father's face. I'm also adding some of the art that I've done on chemo.
PROOF: https://imgur.com/a/ljb98NL
Attached is all the preliminary proof I’m willing to let anybody and everybody see. It’s a mix of identity-confirming photos, people I care about, art that I made while on chemo to help get me through it, proof of my hospital stays and pictures of me during hospital chemo, as well as a picture of myself on chemo simply so you can see how much it takes out of me from those early on photos of me from my tumor removal surgery to today. That was round six. Now I’m in the middle of round twelve: my last one. Before my final battle with Cipher, I’m hoping I can get my personal chemo Journal signed by Hirsch, at the very least. And if the guy wants to join the stream and hear my pretty decent Ford impression, well…who am I to complain? Alex if you're reading this, even if you can’t sign my book, I’d love for you to read the journal entry I wrote addressed to you. I sent my friend Alia to NYCC with a cut-out journal page for you to sign, with this letter to be read, but it didn’t end up working out. Even so, it would mean so much to me if it made it to you somehow.
Hopefully, this gets a shitload of views and reposts that find their way to Alex. As a bonus (some of you are going to adore this) I am going to link a Twitch fundraiser for Appendix Cancer in the post as well, and do a live stream of an ENTIRE reading of a Mystery Fanfic with me as Ford and an absolutely amazing Bill impersonator- @weasel!!! @_<;;! I bet you are so curious, knowing this server. “Come on Fordsy, don’t you want to take my hand? Just say the word!”
Art done by @🐔mother hen goblin🐔
We had this art piece made to promote the stream! Heed the warnings! Also, depending on the VA's endurance, I will also host an open mic for people to share their love of Gravity Falls and their reasoning for helping me.
The Twitch stream will begin on △ 10/26/2024 6:00PM EST.
△ If you cannot make this-never fear! It will all be recorded for your future viewing pleasure. This exact time is subject to change, please check back the day of to make sure that this stays the same.

I hope to see as many of you as possible present in the stream. This fanfiction means so much to so many of us. Both Bill and Ford's relationship in canon and especially in this fic encapsulates the visceral horror, suffering, and trauma that comes with going through chemo and beating the ⭐⚡#💀$out of the triangle tumor. I am also getting OFFICIALLY endorsed by r/Gravity Falls as well as PMP Pals (An Official Appendix Cancer Organization) for this fundraiser.
I cannot tell you how absolutely hyped I am for everything going down.
Pleasepleaseplease join the stream if you can, and for SURE blow up this Reddit post! Thank you all so much for being a part of this and helping me through my fight.

I think Normal Bill is almost just as intelligent and knowledgeable as his canon counterpart, since he had more time to focus on science and such instead of chaos and despair and.. just about every problem in the book.
Can he also still see through trees and The All Seeing Eye on the dollar bill?
Does he have all the powers of Canon Bill?
How does he feel about Ford and Dipper?
What would he think if he saw his parents?
And.. how does he feel about all the.. imagery of him throughout the world? (Remember how Ford had a fucking golden statue of him? And with the cave paintings.. and the dollar bill, the pyramids have a vague eye shape on them (since canonically they were statues of Bill until the top hat and hands fell off) The Eye Of Providence being a sign for God.. yeah it’s REALLY suspicious, I don’t think he really trusts the Pines family at this point, because they are horrible at hiding things, you don’t need to be an all seeing god to know that.
(Sorry for the long rant, I just love this AU)
Don’t apologise for a rant 🫵 I love rants, my brain just can’t comprehend them sometimes 💥
And also aww 🥹 glad you enjoy this AU ❤️
Okay lemme try answering 👏
First yes, absolutely, he’s a smart boi
His energy is just in the nerd stuff now, instead of chaotic insane vibes he has in the canon
Yea and I think he considers it normal lmao
“Wait what do you mean you don’t see through trees Mabel? Like.. I thought everyone did??”
He’s a smart boi, but he is oblivious in some instances
Not sure about all powers, but some for sure
Also this Bill walks everywhere, bc he never saw humans fly and didn’t consider trying (maybe he saw one human attempt it and decided to never try it himself 💀)
I honestly not really sure
Again not my initial idea, but remember one person saying that Bill would have some intrusive thoughts about Pines time to time, not understanding where they come from and probably feeling really guilty about those
But ultimately I think he would consider them a semi family to him
If y’all want a more detailed answer
He’s probably the closest to Mabel, bc she’s a forgiving person and treats Bill as a new person
This version of Bill would be in a girls squad and hang out with them during sleepovers (he’s a gossip girl come on )
Dipper would still be cautious around Bill (as well as Ford), but would get used to him over time forming some sort of brotherly bond
Also Bill would ship Dipper and Pacifica, occasionally playing cupid for them during Dipper crushing on Wendy
He saw an opportunity to tease Dipper (and he said it would be a good enemies to lovers trope)
When people said “Stan would’ve taken that shot” yea, he would kill the child
But perhaps after seeing Mabel being buds with Bill, he just might be a little less defensive
It could both ways really: either Stan would be completely against Bill, but grow to tolerate his presence with occasional (semi)friendly bullying; or Stan would double down and just actively trying to kick Bill out
Either way they would have some sort of rivalry for sure
He would be buds with Soos and Wendy, just chilling with em on the occasion
And the last but not least Ford
He would be the most paranoid and cautious, not because he’s afraid of Bill like Dipper, but because Ford is afraid of “trigger the old Bill inside”
He and Dipper had an agreement to hide all possible information that could potentially remind Bill about his old self (all the Pines agreed to it too to some extent)
Were they successful in it? Who’s to say
Bill obliviousness saved em a bunch of times
And to address the elephant in the room: no, Billford does not exist in this AU
*booing can be heard across the fandom space* NO, YOU’RE NOT GETTING OLD MAN YAOI ON THIS ONE
🍅💥🐻❄️ *tiny bear screaming*
Anyway
I just don’t think it would be fitting in that particular scenario
Don’t get me wrong I like canon Billford (I love the memes and the fact that they are implied to be canon exes is hilarious), but canon Billford
This particular AU just makes the situation incredibly specific 💥
I tried to imagine a scenario where Billford could happen (like i dunno, they gave baby Bill to Oracle and then met his “normal” version)
But with the direction in which this AU went, I think it’s best to leave Ford and Bill with a platonic/parental relationship
To be fair it would be incredibly weird to raise your ex in a baby form 😭💥
But I never actually considered to continue this AU originally, so um 💥💥
I think Ford would just eventually start treating Bill like Mabel: he’s a new person now and to keep that new person undamaged, you need to keep a lot of information hidden (for everyone’s and Bill’s own sake)
This version of Bill and Ford would get along, bc they would both be nerds
(btw Bill’s design is similar to Ford, bc this is how nerds look 🤓💅/silly) (but you can adapt it in a way that Ford just had an influence on Bill, they have a family nerd look™️)
I’m still not sure what kind of time paradox shenanigans the went through to raise Bill tho 💥
This
Honestly I think it would be hilarious if he just thought it was some different guy
“A triangle… with one eye… what if.. naaaah I don’t have a top-hat”
Anyway thank u for the ask ❤️ hope it was fun to read through💥

With how much gravity falls stuff I’ve been working on lately it’s taken me a while to get around to finishing this (long enough for me to nearly finish reading over the first “season” for the third time in a row) but here it is!! A double-page spread dedicated to @ckret2’s golden-haired menace, because I wanted NEEDED to show my appreciation for this fucking amazing AU ✨
Figuring out how to translate Goldie into my style was really fun--I tried to stay true to the original, but kinda subconsciously also added elements from my own Bill which I think is neat (namely the angular smile and triangular brows). I dunno why I gave him That One Curl (TM) but once I noticed it I tried to carry it through all the pics--the hair as a whole was really fun, especially messing around with the textures when it was--well, say, messy.
I redrew some of my fav frames/story moments (plus a couple extras: the cleaning one is inspired by when i was cleaning irl, and realized that Goldie made me feel a lot less dysphoric about wearing leggings and tank tops 'round the house. Thus - in tribute to the irony - Bill gets my leggings fdfhjdfhdf)
but that barely even scratches the surface of just the pure, gloriously hilarious chaos that this beast has to offer-- not to mention the simple fact that it is just. REALLY well written: the attention to details from the books, the comics, and the show itself; the way each character is visibly flawed in some way, be it with their morals, or their actions, or the soundness of their morals; the way each chapter healthily mixes random show-like chaos with genuinely useful info that later BEAUTIFULLY Chekov Gun's itself right back into the culmination of each saga -- it all feels so aware and true to canon and so, so, SO beautifully ALIVE. Dare I say it is one of my absolute favourite fanworks that I've ever read.
Speaking of which - if you’ll excuse me - I have some chapters to catch up on. Like I said - I’ve specifically held off reading the latest ones so that i’d finish the fanart faster and so that i’d have an excuse to make more. looking at you - bill’s abomikini /hj
If you've made it through my lil essay there I appreciate it so much <3
Bonus: I wove a lil bracelet inspired by the one Mabel made for Bill✨
Didn’t have the right colours of embroidery thread on hand so I used yarn instead, but that actually ended up working perfectly with the beads I had (just plain ol' blue ones, cause I wasn’t sure if using nazar beads would have been culturally insensitive or not - nor did I have any nazar beads that I could have used in the first place - but hey! these ones are nice and shiny and the colour works well imo)
#i wore the bracelet with my stanford costume on halloween#guess sixer did end up getting a friendship bracelet one way or another huh?#i feel like mabel would be the one to lend him a lil kiddie kitty mp3 player and soos would help upload music onto it#maybe he'd throw on a couple anime OSTs to see if bill's an anime guy#or anime tri i suppose lol#witty art#gravity falls#bill cipher#bill goldilocks cipher#human bill cipher#stanford pines#stanley pines#mabel pines#dipper pines#kinda lol#gravity falls au#gravity falls fanart#fanfic fanart#traditional art#traditional drawing#pencil drawing#sketchbook

I know I’m hella late but I feel like my answer for why bill had so many wives in his cult (although I will admit I have not seen all of the cult stuff yet) is because he just sorta, feels ‘bad’ for wives in shitty relationships, like, when we’re going thought bill’s history with earth in the book of bill, we specifically have a detour for the Salem Witch Trials where bill shows up as a goat to help wives that were witnessing each other either get worked to the bone or basically die to bullshit trials by both giving them access to actual witchcraft and also iirc implied to kill their shitty husbands?
Point is, watsonian wise, I don’t think bill has a bunch of wives in his cult for sexual or hyper specific reasons or the like, I think bill has a bunch of wives in his cult because he basically goes up to them, goes “hey, you shitty relationship is shitty and looks like it sucks, you wanna join the cool club?” and most of them just, do to spice up their lives
TL:DR Women just really like chaotic demonic triangles
"Bill was doing it just to be nice" is somehow the most hilarious possible explanation AND it has plausible textual support.
although pretty clearly from the chapter it didn't go "ladies, do you wanna marry me?" so much as "men, let me marry your wives!" so i don't think he invited them, it sounds like he just sorta ordered them. But still. Doesn't rule out the possibility he was trying to do a favor.
#(out of all the things the book could have revealed Bill to be I was not expecting 'violently feminist' to be on the list)#thisisnotawebsitedotcom#the book of bill spoilers#ask#jaden3011

Being new to the IT fandom is kinda nice and funny but like the fanfics I've read, this is literally what I have to say about like the stuff, it's all good I promise. I will probably update this as I read more but this is a good place to start 😂
Things I adore or want more of in mainly reddie fanfics/oneshots. (This is mainly adult reddie/losers)
Eddie or Richie being taken by pennywise instead of Bev, I love that shit and I need more of it.
Stan, fucking Stan okay, anytime he is alive I live for the witty comments, the suffered eye rolls he makes, poor guy cannot get a break.
Bill writing about what they experienced and making the characters the losers obviously like I love all the creative names people give the book in some of those ones.
Patty and Richie friendship, I just... It's so good, I've read a few and like I need more, also Stan jokingly regretting having them meet is an added bonus.
The losers group chat and Mike sending so many pictures of where he is travelling to next, it's very wholesome.
Eddie still having his risk job or getting a medical license but becomes a slight internet troll on twitter and everyone loves him for it, and yes the losers can practically feel the heart eyes Richie is making.
While Reddie obliviously pine for each other fucking Bill and Mike end up sorting shit out with each other quicker than them, it's hilarious, it's beautiful.
Bev and Eddie making a support group for their divorces, it's really sweet and I love it.
Time loop fics or time travel fics, gimme more of that shit I'm kinda addicted okay.
Ben being a sweetheart, nothing else, I needed to show my love for pure sweet Ben.
Beverley just being proud of her boys, they are her losers and she loves them.
Richie talking about Eddie in his comedy shows and Eddie surprising him by being in the audience.
The turtle.... No I will not elaborate, I think we all know what I mean.
I want more reversal, like happy ending but Richie was the one stabbed through the chest, I just like reading Eddie's internal monologue.
GIVE ME MORE OF EDDIE BEING THE NAVIGATOR OF THE GROUP PLEASE!

I am dying to know your personal ranking of the Weasley children from your least favorite to favorite, with as much or as little explanation/praise/complaint as you see fit.
EASY
ROOOOOOOOONNNNNNN WEEEEEEASLEYYYYYYYYYYYY
[power gap]
Percy. If you don't love Book!Percy we gotta go back to the text. Only Weasley besides Ron to get a character arc. Gets a full Prodigal Son storyline complete with last-minute battlefield change of heart. "Sorry, Minister, did I mention I'm resigning?" HILARIOUS. He told one joke in the whole series and by God did he make it count. Also helped me to realize he's just boy!Hermione if Hermione hadn't met Harry and Ron, and also didn't have to do any of the saving-the-world stuff. Love this freak.
Fred. Wins top twin because I think his jokes are funnier
George. Unfortunately not everyone can be best twin but he's still an all time character. "Hole-y" joke all-time series classic. Marries a girl who dated his dead twin brother, which is slightly weird.
Ginny! Best girl. I wish she had more stuff to do though. Very cool. Lot of potential with the Silver Trio. Neville taking her to the Yule Ball was a really sweet moment
Bill, unfortunately, losing out in the rankings because he doesn't get much flavor, but he earns points for his relationship with Fleur. The way he is somehow completely normal about his mythically beautiful and internationally famous French wife — when like, nobody else is — earns him points. Also the fact that Molly assumed Fleur was using him for his body is hysterical and we don't talk about it enough.
Charlie. Seems like an awesome guy but like. Spiritually he is an extra. To me. In general both Bill and Charlie lose out from being out of the house and when Harry's at the Weasleys' over the summer they don't do much. I love the idea that he's one of those kids who never played with the others because he was really into bugs, and now he's this introverted shy punk-rock dragon tamer who prefers wrangling lizards to dealing with people.

Title: Caught
FEM!reader x Richie Tozier
Prompt: Y/N usually take the city bus with her friends, also known as the Losers Club, well this time she feel asleep on the bus and wakes up on her long time crushes’s lap, Richie Tozier.
[The Losers are like 15 or 16 in this 🎈]
I walked onto the cold, loud bus. I searched the seats for Eddie, the chatter on the bus was almost louder than my own thoughts, but it all got shut out when I sat down happily on the blue hard plastic seats on the bus right next to my best friend since the day we were born, Eddie Kaspbrak, he smiled at me, the bumps in the bus bouncing me in my seat and the view outside speeding by as we gained speed. I ruffled his brown hair, he swatted my hand away. "You could have lice."
"Wha- You make no sense, Kaspbrak."
"I make perfect sense, lice can be transf-" I cut him off by quickly jerking my head so my hair swung into his face and hair.
That boy shrieked.
I stopped and started dying of laughter, to the point I was basically falling off my seat. "This is not funny." Eddie pouted. I panted and looked at Eds.
"This is hilarious, Eds."
"Here comes your boyfriend." Eddie said in a sing song voice. I looked to see Richie coming over.
“Hey, Eds,” Richie greeted, taking a seat next to me. “Hey, hot stuff.” He smirked at me.
"Fuck off, Tozier." I said to him. I had a massive crush on Richie but I pretended like I hated when he said stuff like that. I grabbed a book from my bag and started reading as Eds read over my shoulder. I felt a tug on my hair, I looked up to see Richie attempting to braid a small strand of my hair, I rolled my eyes and continued to read.
After a bit I felt a wave of tiredness wash over me. I rested my head on Eddie's shoulder and fell asleep.
The bus hit a bump and I woke up, I looked up to see Richie. My head now rested on Richie's shoulder and my legs were draped over his, practically sitting on his lap. Hey, you're awake, hot stuff." Richie said happily. I looked to see Eddie, Stan and Bill with smug smirks on their faces, Bill and Stan sat across from us just staring. I closed my eyes again.
"S-seriously y-y/n?" Bill asked. "W-aasn't this you, 'o-oh, I don't l-like Richie' 'no h-he's just a f-friend' 'R-Richie is s-so annoying, I d-don't like him'?"
"What, his shoulder's comfy. Don't judge me." I defended myself. "And I don't like Richie."
"Sure you don't, hot stuff."
I blushed. "Don't even act like you don't like that nickname." Eds joked.
"W-when's the w-wedding?" Bill teased. Richie wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head which made my face go red and hot.
"Can you guys stop PDAing, it’s disgusting." Stan said.
"Oh, what, you mean this?" Richie placed his fingers under my chin and tilted my head up and we kissed. At first I was taken aback, my eyes shot open, the vicious vampire butterfly’s in my stomach felt like they were on cocaine. But I relaxed after a second, my hands found his hair and I leaned into the kiss, his kiss felt like a breath of fresh air, like I could finally think and move freely, like I was living life for the first time. My hands twisted in his hair and his arms wrapped around my waist. When we finally broke apart it was because I felt a cold wet substance dump all over us. I looked up to see and smirk plastered on Eddie's face while he held a now empty plastic water bottle above our head. I didn’t care that I was wet and cold sitting on a loud crowded bus, I was pumped I just kissed Richie.

I would love to hear your deadly sin takes on all of the Weasleys (particularly the older siblings 👀) <3
Arthur:
Lust - for his obsessive love of all things Muggle. (At some point after the books end he definitely ends up being urged to take a sensitivity training).
Molly:
Gluttony - because her delicious cooking tempts everyone and because she wants to micromanage her children's lives sometimes (metaphorically consuming their time).
Bill:
Sloth - because he didn't step in to defend Fleur from his family (or at least not that we saw).
Charlie:
None. Charlie is perfect and too good for this world. xD
Percy:
Pride - for not wanting to admit he was wrong about anything even once he realized he was. (Though also I do wish his family had apologized for some of the bad stuff they did to him prior to their break). He eventually manages to work through this. Good for him. (We're going to ignore the way the epilogue totally undoes his whole character arc and resets him to his book 1 self.)
Fred:
Wrath - some of the twins crueler or more violent moments seems to have been masterminded by him with George following along.
George:
Envy - some of the teasing of Ron over his Prefect status probably stemmed from this. Also for the iconically hilarious "What are Fred and I, next-door neighbors?" line.
Ron:
Envy - previously discussed here. Ron struggles with feelings of inadequacy around his friends.
Ginny:
Greed - She wants Harry Potter for herself.
Send me a character and I'll tell you what deadly sin they correspond to

ThePandaRedd Appreciation Post: Bill and Ted
This is me screaming into the void that I think my two favorite characters in the comic scene are Ted and Bill from the Pandaverse (the comics universe created by ThePandaRedd's tiktok skits). I freaking love these two because they are hilarious and I gotta say it somewhere.
Consider this a ThePandaRedd appreciation post.
Bill is a very long running Pandaverse character and is a professional henchman in Gotham City. He has been henching long enough to see the formation of the goonion, have batman steal so many of his bones that they're kept ground up in a jar, see the rise and graduation of every robin, batgirl, or other, and become so tired that he can backtalk his most consistent employer---the Joker.
Bill is a jaded henchman, mostly in the job because it's the easiest way to get money in Gotham, and because he's kinda in too deep to quit now. He's one of the best advertisers the goonion has, strongly discourages other people from henching in Gotham, and has so many residual medical issues from getting brutally beaten up by the batfam that he just doesn't care anymore. While he is regularly employed by the Joker, he has also been seen working for the likes of Penguin, Black Mask, and Bane, presumably when the Joker is in Arkham. Most other characters treat him with some instinctive respect for having stayed in the Gotham henching game this long, and he could absolutely go toe to toe with Superman if not just easily secure some Kryptonite and whoop his ass. Fortunately for Superman, Bill sticks to the Gotham scene.
Ted, meanwhile, is a relatively new character, and he has recently moved to Gotham from Coast City (where the Green Lantern lives). Suffice it to say, he is not aware of all of Gotham's idiosyncrasies and is still learning the wheel. If Bill the henchman is to be believed, Ted dropped out of the high school they both attended and may or may not have moved to Gotham for ease of employment.
One of his first appearances was when he'd just joined the GCPD and was trying to covertly get some info on the villain scene by asking Bill about how to start a career in henching. While Bill did not discover that Ted was working for the GCPD, he also gave away pretty much no valuable information since he instead launched into a rant about why anybody would be so suicidal as to try to START henching in Gotham City. His most recent appearance has him presumably out of a job again and noting some of his findings about Gotham as a Coast City Transplant (batburger's overrated, gang territories are gerrymandered, Robins are scarier than Batman, you'll be gifted with a water filter a gas mask and a gun upon moving houses if you send advance notice, etc.)
So, why are these two gag characters from a comic book tik-tok creator my favorite comic book/comic adjacent characters? Because they do exactly what they are designed to and narrow in on the every day.
Comic Books are a sci-fi/fantasy genre that focus on impossible stuff happening, frequently at a pretty grand scale. And while it is super cool to read or hear about stuff like Batman and his adoption problem or Superman being a basically god while still being the most human ray of sunshine ever, that's not even close to my favorite stuff.
No, my favorite type of media to consume is the kind where we get a peek into the everyday of someone in a vastly different circumstance from ours, and feel just how normal they are. I find a lot of comfort and humor in recognizing that even in very unfamiliar circumstances, there will still be simple, everyday things that persist.
Bill might be a goon in a city with some of the most insane and terrifying vigilantes ever, working for some of the most insane and terrifying villains ever, and the city is explicitly a commentary on the general shittiness of urban environments like New York, but that's not what he cares about most of the time. Instead he's busy explaining why you shouldn't smoke to his fellow goons, or dealing with the fact that his employer won't keep a reliable schedule, or having a crisis that he regularly has to run away from a 12 year old dressed like a traffic light or else die trying, or trying to convince people to mask up during quarantine, or promoting that fellow goons "do bad shit safely." And I like to think that if I somehow ended up as an evil goon in someplace as nonsensical and dramatic as Gotham City, I might respond similar to Bill after a while. And that level of normalcy and sanity persisting in such a fantastical environment is both very funny and very comforting. Human nature will persist.
Ted is similar. Everybody who has experienced moving cities knows that it can be disorienting and confusing and even a little scary as you try to figure out how things work, but you'll figure it out regardless and probably have a fun(ish) time doing so. Ted shows that the same principle applies even when those differences get cranked up to 11 and include superpowered and/or impossibly determined and crazy people. He makes my own experience moving cities where I joke and complain about the differences feel validated and it's just so funny to see someone react so normally to such an abnormal situation.
Ted's experience is something that can actually he applied to my own life, like when I learned about Rural vs. Urban stupid zoning laws or trying fry sauce after moving to the mountain west and having to defend my stance that it is an abomination. So seeing someone like yourself doing the EXACT same thing in such an insane circumstance both strikes a chord of truth and makes me laugh myself to the floor.
I also really appreciate that the PandaVerse in general has connected lore for what is basically a gag series used to affectionately parody comics. Something about people actually caring about their jokes enough to make connected lore makes me so so happy.
So thank you ThePandaRedd for creating Ted and Bill, continuing along with them, and making me smile.
Seriously, all this was to say that ThePandaRedd is cool, you should go watch his stuff, and that Bill and Ted are hilarious.

Thinking more about characters being placed in different houses, and I've come to a few ideas/conclusions.
Arthur's obsession with muggle stuff could arguably be used to make a case for him being a Ravenclaw
Bill probably has the best outcome if you look at exclusively the immediate verbal outcome when it comes to being a Weasley sorted into Slytherin considering the fact that his siblings younger than Percy (which equals about half of the family that lives in the Burrow not counting attic ghoul) most likely are at most at toddler speech levels
The twins are just as ambitious as Percy so it makes just as much sense for them to be sorted into Slytherin.
Book Ron could very easily be a Hufflepuff, though I'm not sure about movie Ron
Resorting Draco into Ravenclaw makes the most sense to me but I think it'd be hilarious to resort him into Hufflepuff considering he says "imagine being in Hufflepuff, I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?" in Madame Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.
In a similar vain, it'd be hilarious to resort James into Slytherin

My Review Of Some Bill and Ted Stuff
hey it's me the bnt body positivity post girl anyway it was my birthday a few days ago so I have some takes
1: Bill and Ted Save The Universe
this book sucked ass. One of the reasons I love Bill and Ted is because they're funny, this book had one good joke in it and I'm 90% sure it was unintentional. The plot felt extremely forced and out of character for pretty much everyone, The one point I found interesting was what they did with Deacon, but they took that cool idea and ran it directly into the trash in the last chapter. There was an extremely unnecessary and out of character divide between Bill and Ted. The whole thing felt off, same with their relationships with their wives and children.
2: The Return of Bill and Ted
this book was MOST excellent, I loved it. There was something funny on every page, the art styles were all amazing and so charming, the storyline felt very legit and VERY bill-n-ted. The characters were so fun and in character, I especially enjoyed Missys mini-story. I read this book second, and I was very worried that it would be as bogus as the first one, but then this panel was on the first page:
And I knew I was in for a good time. Their relationship with their wives and kids was extremely cute, showing them as loving parents but still a bit silly and super in character.
The robots were also portrayed fantastically, every time they came in I was excited.
the time travel gags were hilarious, no matter what time they went to there was always some fantastic antics in true Bill and Ted style. Overall, I totally recommend this book, it's absolutely excellent, look at it it's so good oh my god
Thank you for reading this post. Be excellent to eachother and yourself, and party on dudes :))

ARC Review of A Jingle Bell Mingle by Sierra Simone and Julie Murphy
Rating: 4/5 Heat Level: 4/5 Publication Date: September 24th
Premise:
Adult film actress Sunny agrees to live with ex-boybander-slash-prior-hookup Isaac Kelly in his spare bedroom so she can work on the script for her new romantic holiday movie.
My review:
A Jingle Bell Mingle was a super sexy, super touching (ha, see what I did there) raunch-com, and the perfect way to wrap up the Christmas Notch series. We've been edged by Sunny and Isaac ever since they had an off-page threesome with another pornstar (It's what Isaac's dead wife would have wanted, okay?), and I was excited to see them pick up where they left off, even with a two-year gap.
Yes, this book does start with an early bang, and I do appreciate it not only because I love an early sex scene, but also because I love when couples don't necessarily need a lot of build-up before sex, but they have ways to go before they can actually be in a functional relationship— It feels very contemporary.
So Sunny moves in temporarily to work on her holiday movie script, and gets it in her head that the only way for Isaac to regain his creative muse is.... dates. With other people. What follows is a hilarious sequence of dates including a hot mechanic, hot librarians, and a hot catty pornstar from That threesome (Isaac and Sunny are both bisexual). Obviously they're all disasters.
Also, I LOVE Sunny; she's bubbly and quite fearless, but she also has some very real insecurities where Isaac is concerned, particularly when it comes to the emotional aspect of their relationship. She also has ADHD and you see these moments of hyperfixation throughout the book, my favorite being the mystery of the mailman, WWII soldier, and his wife, and whatever they were up to back in the day.......
As for Isaac, if you're a fan of a sadboi hero, he's your man. Isaac is.... tragic, to say the least but like, in a hot way because who doesn't love a hot tragic widower? He was also celibate for two years, between the first time him and Sunny hooked up and the present which, again, HOT.
Here's where it gets less hot but packs an emotional punch: Isaac isn't over the passing of his first wife. At all. And at first, it's sweet and sometimes even funny how dramatic and overwrought he gets at times. Then you see the extent of his unhealthy coping mechanisms, namely shutting everyone out to grieve alone, and making Sunny feel reduced to a body rather than someone he can have an emotional connection with. I really appreciate how this book deconstructs that thing romance heroes are prone to doing, where they're convinced they only have one great love of their life, and they're gone now so he can never love again. A lot of romance novels have that development off-page or kind of brush over it so it can get to the happily-ever-after, but not here. Isaac is forced to confront this not only with Sunny, but also his boyband friends/former Christmas Notch heroes.
The sex:
Isaac and Sunny are down-and-ready, anytime, anywhere kind of couple, so obviously they're a fan of a quickie (see: their first time on-page), and public sex because they just can't wait (which is how Sunny ends up shoving fistfuls of cash into a photo booth while Isaac has a hand up her skirt and rips her tights). Isaac does have a bit of a STERN edge but I'd say it's less bossy and more dirty and desperate, plus loads of dirty talk.
I also like how Sunny is never super hung-up on her body as a plus-sized woman, but there's still that moment of genuine awe when Isaac picks her up and drops her on the counter of a public bathroom (another one of their more public encounters lol), and that felt so real to me.
Also, we do get the rare contemporary romance butt stuff, and it does go both ways :D ft. the return of the gingerbread-scented lotion (iykyk).
Overall:
What I love about the Christmas Notch books is that they're genuinely funny (not all romances billed as romcoms are, in my opinion), and they're sexy, sex-positive, AND body positive in a way I rarely see in traditionally published romance novels. A Jingle Bell Mingle was no different and I'd strongly recommend it to any romcom fan.
Thank you to Avon Books and NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I just typed out this when talking with some friends in a Discord server, but I think it probably could go here as well not gonna lie.
I have a lot of opinions on the views of fanart VS fanfic. A lot of fandom things in general are mocked by people who aren't really in them, despite other things being normalized. People who buy all sorts of merch for their favourite sports team or take off their shirt and paint their body the colours of the team aren't seen as that strange, but if you try to express that you like something more niche you're seen as weird.
Twilight is a great example of how something that's relatively innocent and light-hearted is twisted into a dead horse for people to routinely beat over and over again. Are the books that great? In my opinion, not really. However, a lot of people (in particular young teens) loved it. They however were made fun of and mocked relentlessly for their interests. A lot of the time you'll see fandom mocked because it's seen as something weird kids, do. Halo and Call of Duty aren't talked about in the same breath as something like Twilight, because despite being targeted towards a similar demographic (pre-teens and adolescents), they're seen as cool and nostalgic. Twilight? That's some dumb girl stuff. They should do something better with their lives than talk about a dumb stupid book all the time. Criticizing the writing and themes were a shield a lot of people used to bully others. A lot of the time, it's making fun of people for liking things. I bring gender into this because fandom culture is predominantly queer and neurodivergent oriented with a ton of teenagers. They are spaces for queer and neurodivergent people to express themselves and find safety in the comfort of media. A good chunk of the time when a person complains about fancontent and media, it ties back to ableism.
Anywho, back to fanart. Fanart is iffy in that sense. Some fanart is seen as cool and amazing. I find it absolutely hilarious when some guy will complain about young girls drawing fanart of DSMP characters doing. literally nothing bad. Maybe they're just hanging out and talking. I dunno. Regardless, those type of people are more than likely to have hyperrealistic Joker art as their background. You know the type. It makes me laugh because like…how do you think that came into existence? But, still. Depending on who makes the fanart, it's seen as a cool and badass thing. If it's some random guy who paints Scrooge McDuck smoking a cigar and counting dollar bills or the Joker in front of an explosion, that's based and cool. But if it's like Gordon Freeman chatting with Barney and maybe being a bit vulnerable after being subjected to all of this trauma, it's lame and weird. Gordon Freeman is a cool strong guy!! Re-enforcing ideas that there's a certain level of tolerance. Somebody drawing your favourite cartoons from your childhood or your favourite characters doing generic and random stuff in a somewhat hyper-realistic style? Cool! If it's in a style that may vaguely resemble something softer, lame and gay. A lot of artists in fandom spheres will draw these characters doing silly things because it's an expression of their admiration for the media. It's comforting to them. Art in general is very personal, with fanart being something you make from your heart. You were inspired by this piece of media to not only create art, but create art of this media. Fanart is a bit iffy. Fanart is cool when it's Chell hopping through portals or standing over GLaD0S's destoryed body. Fanart is not cool when you make shipart of Winter and Qibli.
Fanfic however? You'd be pressed to find anybody who isn't involved in fandom defend this. Why? Because most fanfic at its core is queer. A lot of the criticism thrown at is is because of it being seen as something weird young teenagers do as some sort of wish fulfillment. Depraved weirdos who want to see your favourite characters kiss??? How horrible!! God, what weirdos. Not just that, but you're STEALING these characters!! You're taking them and using them as your own little dolls to do things with (these things being like. I dunno. making them kiss or hold hands). God, who would even write this stuff? Fanfic is almost always associated with NSFW content as well, far more than fanart. A good chunk of the reason I feel is because of stuff like Fifty Shades of Gray breaking out into the mainstream and being well-known for originally being a Twilight fanfic. It's. uh. known for not being the most PG of books, so yeah. Again, it's associated with young teens being stupid and dumb and writing this dumb stupid stuff because they are weird little freaks. It's stereotyped as being bad and generally kind of immature, far more than fanart ever was. While fanart is occasionally hit with the "drawn by stupid children who are barely even talented" stereotype (mostly with fangirls and such), fanfic is almost always is.
But, fanfic is so personal. It's incredible. Wonderful. I'm biased indeed, I mean, look at me writing my TF2 fanfic where I take the insane healer character and make him into a silly guy who is aro/ace and autistic (as well as having 97 other mental disorders). I'm no different than these other people who write slashfic of these video game and TV characters holding hands and kissing. However, I've seen so much passion and love. People pour so much of their time into creating these long and beautiful works of art. Thousands upon thousands of words, a good chunk of the time stretching over the length of entire books. These characters mean so much to these people. Fanfic is seen as lesser and more heavily stereotyped IMO because, more than anything else, it's about queer and neurodivergent people expressing their emotions, sexuality, traumas, and thoughts. Not to say that EVERYBODY who writes fanfic is gay or autistic or that there isn't any cis/het/allo neurotypical people out there, but just that it's heavily dominated by women, queers, and neurodivergent people.
But, that's just me and my silly opinions, ya know?

MR. ROBOT REWATCH, 1x05: “eps1.4_3xpl0its.wmv”
-Are you telling me that from that picture of the pill bottle Vera's figured out it was Elliot who turned him in?
-It's hilarious to me that Elliot assesses that Mr. Robot is that he's insane.
-Ollie: "Can you stop packing for like five minutes? Can we just hash this out like adults? I love you." Okay, first of all, if you loved her Ollie, you wouldn't have cheated on her. Second of all, Angela is handling this like an adult.
-Ollie: "Let's get married."
-Ollie: "You can't just give up on us like this." You're the one that gave up when you CHEATED ON HER!!!!
-Oh shit, she just straight up told him that she used his stuff to infect the company.
-Mr. Robot, why do we have to be mean to Bill?
-I forgot about how many flashbacks about Elliot's mom we get in this first season.
-I know Elliot's good at this, but it still makes me sad to see him be mean to Bill.
-Oh no, there plan is falling to shit because Wendy's baby came early!!
-Mobley, what did you text her?
-Oh shit, he sent her a text about her husband being sick.
-TYRELL?!
-This damn Steel Mountain commercial threw me the fuck off.
-Tyrell is such an arrogant prick.
-Okay, I did not need to see Elliot throw up.
-Elliot, shut the door behind you!
-Tyrell: "And unfortunately, we're all human. Except me, of course."
-Tyrell: "I'm joking, Elliot." I don't think you are Tyrell.
-What the hell? Why'd they kick Darlene out?
-Angela's dad seems sweet.
-Joanna, it's not the driver's fault that there is traffic.
-Darlene, lower your voice!
-Yeah, screaming, knocking over some book, and drawing attention to yourself seems like a great idea.
-Tyrell, what the fuck are you doing?
-Oh shit, is she into it?
-What's that mail? Angela, what did you find?
-Oh God, where's Shayla?
-Angela at a fork in the road? WHAT KIND OF ENDING IS THAT?!
