A Cavern of many secrets

[Warrior Cat OC story]

Cavern had always had his secret place, though he had many, his official secret place was out of the territory into unclaimed. He often met Caramel there but now he also met his kits there. It was there special place where they could be a family…it was a castle made out of stone hidden deep within a cave of his creation.

There was a lot of floating islands in the cave as well, all was created by CavernDawn, it was no surprise he had strong magical abilities. He was the son of LilyNight, the strongest Moon Bearer of TreetopClan and DuskClan, it was no shock that his powers would be as equally strong or even stronger. Sure Juneka was a pretty strong Moon Bearer herself but she was slightly weaker.

Today was just another typical day for Cavern, he was watching his kits explore the castle he made while Caramel rested in a bed of pillows, cushions, and blankets.

Cavern always told her, one day I'll make you a throne, she wasn't even sure what that was but she liked the way he described it. In here Caramel was just….herself.

She was sweet, generous and kind, her hallucination monsters had free range to patrol and play when they came here.

"Badger come on!" BloomKit chirped out of one of the castle windows, the hallucination monster looked up before he ran inside and up to BloomKits room, Badger looked like…well a badger kind of. Badger had a squirrel tail that curled over his back and his face looked like it was made of bone, he wasn't as spooky as the other hallucination monsters were so…the fearful child befriended him, now they were best friends.

Badger made happy Badger noises as he played tag with HawkKit, BloomKit and WinterKit. He loved playing these kit games, Badger wasn't actually a fan of killing. He had taken on a personality…a identity of his own….he loved flowers and looking after all the little ones, he loved the warmth of the sun and the sounds birds made when they sang….he loved life.

BloomKit hid in the main hall, it was supposed to be a 'dining hall' but she didn't know what that meant. Berserk was laying down in here, he was also a hallucination monster but of the Spinosaurus kind, he was accompanied by Icy the Raptor, also a hallucination monster. Caramel doesn't know why these two popped into creation, it probably had something to do with her date to the museum with Cavern….well actually it was a few dates. Cavern taught her a lot of what he knew about Dinosaurs, he even had his special fossil collection in the castle that was near and dear to his heart.

Bloomkit hid inbetween Berserk and Icy "Just pretend I'm not here" she meowed to the larger than life creatures as she thought she found the perfect hiding spot.

Badger was it and he was looking for the three of them. "GOTCHA!" He announced as he found HawkKit hiding behind his mother.

"Aw man! You got to be kidding me!" HawkKit complained with a grumpy looking face. Badger smirked "You know the rules" the monster told the child.

"I know I know!" HawkKit grumbled before the two of them set out to find the other two.

HawkKit eventually found his sister WinterKit but they failed to find BloomKit until they went into the dining hall, Icy blinked her eye at Badger and he nodded sneaking over and climbing onto Icy's back carefully to look down at BloomKit "Found you!" He chirped victoriously.

BloomKit jumped up before she froze in fear like a deer in the headlights "Oh no, she's doing it again" Badger told her siblings as he picked the fear stiffened kit up and carried her gently around until she unfroze. She sometimes did this at random and usually she just needed to be protected until she unfreezed, Badger put BloomKit down and she shook her fur out "Can we play another round of hide and seek?" BloomKit asked her siblings and friend.

"Uh…nah, can we play a different game" HawkKit asked her. "Sure" BloomKit meowed in reply deciding to play a game that could include everybody.

And it’s been easier to socialize the kit as it has learned getting pet isn’t super scary when Mama is at your side.
