i've actually played only one session as a spellcaster (a sorcerer) but my favorite of his spells is currently mage armor because he's a tabaxi so he just. puffs up his fur.

Hello, have you seen the latest ch of MHA 423? Is it true that bkdk really killed kurogiri? How do you feel about shigaraki dying in the end and deku reaction towards it? Sorry for asking too many questions but I really can't stand those bkdk killed kurogiri allegations and your metas of bkdk are really good.

Anon, I'm gonna be honest with you. My feelings can be summed up as follows:

Stuff like this is the reason you don't see me posting reactions every chapter. Jokes and conspiracy theories and "omg what if" posts are all in good fun, but every week, some people talk like this is The Absolute Last Word on every plot line even vaguely referenced in the chapter.

And I don't get it at all. When I'm reading the new chapters, the most I can tell you is that I have fun and I find it interesting. I'm engaged. I'm curious to see what comes next and how it's gonna pan out. I definitely have my own thoughts, feelings, and hopes! But I put them in a little stasis box of anticipation, ready for when I can find out more.

So when people lose their shit over something, it just feels so unnecessary to me. Especially something that happens right at the very end of the chapter, because more often than not that's the jumping off point for the next installment, as opposed to a cut-away to a different scene.

How many times have we gotten a cliff-hanger or shocking ending to a chapter, only for the very next chapter to reverse the event or reveal we were misled about its meaning? How many times has that happened in this very scene?

The reason I can write thousands of words analyzing Deku vs. Kacchan 2 is because it's over. The entire event is complete. Maybe there will be future chapters that reference it or inform our view of it, but it's done. This final arc isn't done--hell, this scene isn't even remotely done!

Furthermore, I am of the opinion that people saying bkdk killed Kurogiri probably don't like Izuku or Katsuki to begin with, so I really don't think anything out of my mouth is going to persuade them one way or the other. And I'm certainly not going to waste my breath trying to argue about something we'll have an answer for in like, two weeks.

Ongoing series thrive on making you want to know what happens next. Me personally, I'm having a good time wanting to know what happens next.

I guess the only thing I want to ask the people making these claims is: Why do you read mha like you're waiting for it to upset you? Why are you expecting this series to disappoint you?

The answer isn't for my benefit, just so you know.

Okay!! Last two The Bear pieces (til season 3, at least. Maybe sooner. Idk! I am inconsistent! I love many shows and movies and games and can’t commit to only posting from one fandom!!) JK I went and did a bunch more Bear pieces lololol

I had this idea of doing it to the single piece but it wasn’t working so I separated them out. Took inspo from the prayer cards we saw in the show.

Oh, interesting question! Thank you! ♥️ I do think he was a jealous person, though he got better about it over time.

One of the things I like best about him in the books is that he’s so utterly human. He makes mistakes, and sometimes he has to get checked by Gandalf, Ghân, etc. because of it. So he’s not perfect, and jealousy is a very human flaw.

We also know he’s pretty passionate. He’s not someone who is always calm, cool and collected. It’s totally possible to bait him into an emotional reaction, esp. when he’s already stressed. This is the guy who almost decapitated Gimli just for calling him dumb, after all!

So even if his rational brain knows that getting jealous is silly, sometimes he can’t help it. And not to armchair psychoanalyze him, but as someone who has already lost a lot of important people in his life, he’s probably especially susceptible to the fear that he’ll somehow lose his crush/girlfriend/wife if he’s not always on his guard against threats, including other guys.

Now, how serious a problem is it? It depends on how threatening he finds the other guys. Éomer has a pretty good opinion of himself, so he doesn’t see a lot of men as legit competition. If a regular guy flirted with his wife, he’d probably laugh it off and only get involved if his wife seemed like she wanted him to intervene. But someone who is especially handsome or powerful or talented in a way that Éomer admires? That will set him off. Then I can see him either a) getting confrontational if it’s a person he thinks he can push around or b) getting petty and sulking in a corner if it’s someone he’s hesitant to confront.

But, as mentioned above, I do think he gets this under control with time. As often as he makes mistakes, he just as frequently learns from those mistakes and changes his ways (“I spoke only as do all men in my land, and I would gladly learn better” be still my heart 😍). So at some point, he’ll make a big enough scene that he’ll get pulled aside for a talking-to, realize how his behavior is stupid and hurtful, and then work to do better. I imagine his wife gave him this talk, and then it was reiterated in much less gentle terms by Éowyn (“You’re the King of Fucking Rohan, now start acting like it!”). So he does improve and gets to the point where 99 times out of 100 it doesn’t really bother him. And that 100th time, the other guy totally deserved whatever he got.
