Following our conversation, I have formally attempted my first PB&J, though fear I have made a terrible mistake. My friend bought me super-posh jam for my birthday (strawberry with rhubarb and vanilla), so in the spirit of this, I decided to treat myself to wholenut peanut butter and seeded bloomer from Waitrose:

As I proceeded to eat my way through the whole thing, the taste only grew more curious, resulting in a mild queasy sensation and ennui - I believe because I made it too lofty? The jam became overwhelming - is this normal? Possibly the vanilla made it too sweet? Texture-wise something just wasn't right. How do you typically manage the ratio? I'd be happy to give it another try, but based PB&J No.1, I'm not convinced it's for me. I'm sorry :(

I binged, i purged, didn't get everything out. I ate something at university, couldn't get it out there. came home, binged again, only got slim to almost none out.

I am frustrated and disgusted with myself. and all day, all the time this question pounds in my mind. "why?" why tf can't i control myself? why is it so hard to resist binging? why do I spend so much money every fucking day to consume tons of food just to throw it up again? why do I suddenly lack the ambition to control my food intake? why am i so pathetic? it's one thing to binge food that at least is kinda healthy. but no, obviously i am a piece of shit that binges double chocolate muffins, toffee wholenut chocolate, ice cream, yoghurts, noodles. everything.

and I really don't get it. cause technically i never forbid myself to eat all that stuff. I never cut them out completely because i knew that at some point that would make me crave them and trigger binging. i technically did not restrict. yes, i did not really eat those things but because I actually didn't want to and not because I cut them off in that way.

i think about eating and purging pretty much all the time, yes, but it's not like i am feeling hungry or actually wanting to eat. then, as soon as something glides down my throat, i lose all control and can't stop eating. and I overeat, regret it all and then break down when i don't even get out half of it.

normally when i binged i still counted calories. i am past that. i eat so fucking much, i don't want to be certain how many calories are in my body. obviously i can kind of calculate it all in my head and the thought alone is destroying me. i am gaining weight atm and I am disgusted with myself.

i decorated the living room for my best friend's birthday

i've been excited for like a week because i planned this, but it's finally the day and it's 3:30am and my best friend is asleep in the room over. i've just got done decorating downstairs and baking him a cake.

i felt like i got him less presents than i wanted to (one of them was pretty expensive) and he knows (kinda) what they are, so i went and bought him the next volumes of a couple mangas he's reading and decided i was gonna make him a cake as a surprise.

then i decided, why not go all out? i bought doctor who birthday banners, a tablecloth that came with them and some candles. the banners are up, the tablecloth is on the couch with his card and presents on and the cake is in the fridge to surprise him even more when he goes to get a drink (i had to buy cake tins. i hid them in the oven so he doesn't see them because i couldn't be bothered doing the dishes again. they're unusually clean tho), and the living room is full of balloons, including some on the door when you walk in.

i'm so excited for him to wake up and see it all, and i really really hope he likes it. he deserves the world and i unfortunately cannot give him that so i hope something small like this lets him know that i really do care and i absolutely adore him and i hope he has a great birthday.

and wholenut, if you ever somehow read this, i fucking love you and i don't know how i'd have gotten through the past couple months without you. thank you for being there for me, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me and i don't care if that sounds too "relationship," i love ya and i genuinely don't think i'd be in one piece without you. thank you, and happy birthday bud 💙🎂
