(In all fairness Dawn of the Dead (1978) and Day of the Dead should also be on this list but I tried to give the others a shot by rationing myself to just one Romero production)

#others that i love that didnt make the cut: dawn of the dead (og). planet terror. one cut of the dead. rampant. the battery. maggie. cargo #wyrmwood. zombie (1979). shivers. 28 weeks later. quarantine.#would love for the last of us to be turned into a film so i could see what all the fuss is abt #tcp #little monsters was a great premise but lupita really carried that film #also i KNOW zombieland isnt like. the best writing. at all. BUT i feel like it's a really good follow up to shaun of the dead #as far as being a zomedy that plays homage to the main popular aspects of the genre in its day (i.e. post 28 days later fast zombies #the concept of double tapping. the dramatic overkills for hollywood blockbusters. etc)#whereas shaun of the dead while it did come out after 28 days later was really tipping its hat to the classic zombie motifs of romero and #cronenberg etc
