i havent really delved in the tags for arguments but just from browsing around the places i already follow, for every person ive seen who’s somehow salty about the new hairstyles/faces or making jokes about them, there’s like at least five people who are extremely thankful for them or literally have come back to gw2 or decided to buy/try gw2 due to the new hairs/faces

even within my guild alone there’s been like... probably about 10 people who have instantly been like “omg i need a human now” and a lot of people going “YESSS I CAN FINALLY MAKE MY OC ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE THEMSELF NOW!!!!” and it’s really heartening !!

#im hoping the overwhelmingly positive response cements for anet the idea that doing this is good for the health of gw2 #of course i dont want them to get into a 'diversity = profits' mentality but like #maybe if they realized that as an atypical mmo its better for them to be catering to atypical mmo players #because i havent seen strong public reactions to gw2's esports or w/e like i have seen in reaction to the hairs/faces #whenever i see swathes of new people wanting to play gw2 its like #always because they heard of something cool and good that gw2 did #like this or like adding sya to the game #and i do think gw2 would have a much more active playerbase rn if they drew in more people like #''hey are you tired of mmos being shitty? is that why you dont play mmos? check us out we're trying our best to be not shitty!!''#literALLY that was why i preordered gw2 #I LITERALLY DIDNT EVEN HAVE A PC.
