#if there isn't any glimpse of love the dynamic misses complexity#but cox's agamemnon as a dad would be denethor#so he has a bit of both: he thinks he cares but is a denethor#what i think it's fitting for him because film agamemnon is convinced he is a good guy#“ carefull boy. my mercy has limits” “ i don't want to watch another massacre” ... he hurts people acting like he is the good one#he knows what's best for you regardless if you like it or not ... and what's best is always submitting to him#he is really good at making it look like depending of him is the only good way#controlling father that “ just wants the best for you” vibes#but he is also very utilitaristic in his ways with people#so the “i know of his uses and there are few ” of denethor would fit him
