need to beat up the guy who wrote the zenkichi wiki page fr why do they have weird beef with akane. if my dad came home like once every two weeks, made salt sugar water for meals, and was generally weird and evasive about everything (including my mom's death) i wouldn't want to go to Disneyland with him either

The Vampire Aesthetic

Ok so Danny knows two billionaires personally and they really couldn’t be more different. Yet they had one thing in common. A vampire aesthetic. Sam is fully into goth. Spiderwebs, bats, the color black. She enjoys fangs and fake blood and the darkness of her soul. Meanwhile, Vlad is Vlad. If his name wasn’t enough, the dark clothing, pale skin, and flying around with a cape and fangs with coffins in his mansion really sells it.

Danny doesn’t know many rich people so he thinks this might be some kind of trend. (If Paulina is rich, her family likes the chupacabra) So he just thinks that all rich people have some kind of vampire thing going on.

Cue Danny somehow ending in the Wayne household. Maybe he was brought over as a friend of one of the bats, maybe rescued from a field trip/vacation gone wrong, maybe some other situation. But he is there in civilian form with civilian Waynes and Danny just takes a good long look around the inside of the mansion.

“So where’s the vampire aesthetic?

Everyone freezes.

Danny just starts looking around, checking behind paintings and feeling the walls for secret levers. Used to secret passages with Vlad and possibly Sam. The Fentons definitely had them when they were temporarily rich.

“Come on, I know you guys are hiding it.”

Cue the entire batfamily thinking that this is another Tim and that he is fully aware that these people are the batfamily. Danny hangs around the mansion more and the bats just start dropping their disguises and not even bothering to hide stuff around Danny because they assume he already knows. (Possibly even trying to recruit him to be a new bat) Meanwhile, Danny, who does not know these people are batman and his birds, just does not pick up on any of it.

He grew up in a health violation with a giant ballon observatory lab above his head and a portal to the afterlife in his basement. He is a half dead teenager who has tea with the god of time and his godfather is the other parent to his clone child. He’s used to death lazers being scattered across his home and mysterious stains on clothing.

People are weird! He doesn’t judge!

Danny looking at Damian “why is he staring at us.”#Damian makes direct eye contact with Duke. “Training.”#Duke: WHAT DOES THAT MEEEAAANN?!?!?#There are ‘accidents’ like that one Time Danny was staying over and Jason was trying to sneak into the mansion.#Red hood (in full gear with guns bombs and glowing red eye googles) comes over at 1 am and crawls up the vent and opens it above Danny’s be #Danny: lying on the bed with his eyes wide awake and already staring at the ceiling as the vent above him opens. *waves* “Sup”.#Red Hood: …….“sup” (slooowwwly closes vent)

#I thought it would be fun to draw designs for them but then I actually got attached oh nooo #in undertale a monster's physical form is the manifestation of their soul. and since their forms are very linked with their souls #I thought if killer's and dust's souls were this fucked up. their bodies should be fucked up too.#dust is all noddle-ly and is like a wet cloth. if u hang him on a pole he would wave like a flag.#killer is melty and his body all molted together with his clothes. For some reason, the dnd:hat movie has been living rent-free in my head for over a week. Xenk is just rattling around in there right now, having a long talk with Kira about morality, mortality, personal sacrifice, and being a child who saw the Beckoning Death unleashed on their home.

I feel like Xenk would have a lot to say that Kira needs to hear, and be a good listener for the things Kira needs to talk about that she can't tell her dad or Holga. He'd probably benefit from talking to her, too. Kira almost experienced the same tragedy he did when he was her age. It would be cathartic for him to help her through that, knowing he helped save her from ever experiencing what he went through

#edgin and holga want kira to be safe and happy #and I'm sure they'll talk with Kira about what she went through too #but there are a lot of questions Kira might have that they're not equipped to answer #especially about THEM and the tablet of reawakening #and edgin is struggling too much with his own questions about morality and personal preservation vs personal gain vs doing good #xenk is respectable and also patient and understanding and supportive enough to be the perfect confidante for a confused eleven year old #and he's lived the Bad Ending of the traumatic experience she skirted past #she also looks a bit like Ishara #the girl he saw lost in the fog before he ran #and I'm sure the filmmakers did that intentionally so Ishara would remind us of Kira and what was at stake #but it's very easy to turn that around and have Kira remind Xenk of Ishara #dungeons and dragons: honor among thieves #d&d:hat #dnd hat #dnd:hat #xenk yendar #kira darvis #I can't imagine this post will be interesting to more than like. three people #but it's interesting to me!!!#Kira saw one of her parents die in front of her!!#she's eleven years old!!#Xenk has already worked through a mountain of survivor's guilt incurred at a similar age #he's the ideal mentor for her!!#it's all about being the person you needed 😭😭😭#it's all about forgiving yourself for not stopping what happened to you by stopping it from happening to someone else #if you need me I'll be lying in a puddle thinking about grief and processing trauma

i maintain that the reason goro sucks at cooking is bc he absolutely cannot for the life of him experiment with it. he can follow instructions fine but if there's vague terms or if something says to eyeball it he's completely lost. that, and goro cannot stand having to do multiple things at once and will absolutely burn a building down because he wasn't keeping a close enough eye on the stove. this is what makes akira so good at cooking, on the other hand--he thrives at experimenting and taste testing and the chaos of the kitchen is something he lives for.

HOWEVER. goro is very good at following a step-by-step guide. he is extremely meticulous. he is capable of being precise with measurements. so once he's introduced to it, goro becomes an incredible baker. it even becomes therapeutic, a method of relaxing after a long day. akira hates baking for the same reasons goro loves it, but loves having yummy tasty treats, so baking becomes goro's forte.

unfortunately, being the friend who brings baked goods to every hangout means goro is not escaping the has-a-sweet-tooth allegations anytime soon.

#if you're curious I do think goro has a sweet tooth. or did as a kid. but had to play it up for the cameras so much #and food became such a Means To An End (like everything else) that he stopped caring abt taste and grew resentful of the sweet tooth #shtick just like he grew resentful of the detective prince as a whole. so he isn't *lying* when he says it's for the cameras #but he also isn't telling the truth either. ofc the sweet tooth thing is a lie just like everything about the detective prince is a lie #<- delusional. the mask is just as much a part of him as what it disguises #baby goro loved his mother's pancakes is what im saying. back when she still cooked for him........#(so pancakes and sweets are also associated with his mother. which only complicated his feelings even further)#so yeah! that's my opinion on the does goro like sweets thing #well yes but actually no but actually yes #sera posts #goro akechi #sera talks goro

its so hard to watch time pass when things like careers and assignments exist. what do you mean im supposed to take that seriously

#I have an assignment that was due a week ago and I really really dont want to do it. I have to but i dont want to #im probably making it worse because my brain has built a wall around it so now i can’t do literally anything else until thats done. but #because I don’t want to do it I’m just kinda stuck. turns out this is what they meant when they said emotional regulation is part of #exec dysfunction.. I’ll have a thought like if I get a little bit of it done now i can get it over with. I can just submit something #and then not even 5 minutes later itll be like ugh but I have to draw all the assets out. I have to write things and make spreads ugh #and its just flopping between those two things. i hate it when ppl are like well how much time do you need to work on one thing #because BOY id love to know too.
