can't stop thinking about sweet girl finding a puppy and bringing her home to cowboy!eddie. Maybe she found her at a gas station on her way home from work. She's a scrappy-looking mutt, but precious all the same.
Eddie spots her car flying up the drive, shaking his head at her speed and taking off his work gloves, heading to meet her up by the house. He's getting ready to scold her when she opens the door and puts her hands up in defense, "I know I was speeding but I have an actual good reason this time!" He raises an eyebrow and walks closer, hands on his hips as he says "Sure better, missy. You also better have a good reason as to why you're not wearin' a jacket in this cold. Gonna get sick walkin' 'round with just a short sleeve on." she kisses him quick and sweet, "There's a good reason for that too!". She's giddy as she turns and leans into the car, grabbing the sweet puppy that she wrapped up in her coat and presenting her to him. Eddie immediately shakes his head, looking away to gather his patience before turning back to her, "Aw, hell. Baby no, absolutely not." She pouts, "Eddie there is no way I was just going to let her freeze by the gas station dumpster! I promise I'll take good care of her, you won't have to do a thing. She'll be all mine." She scratches the fur on the top of her head. Eddie swore he saw the dog actually smile. He sighs and scratches the scruff on his chin, "We can keep her for the night, and talk about options in the mornin', but I'm not having a dog in the house, no ma'am, " He waves his arm out towards the barn and pasture, "Do you see all the animals we already have? And those chickens that were also supposed to be "all yours"?" She goes to argue again, but Eddie cuts her off, walking up to her and pushing her hair behind her ear, "Sweetheart I know she's cute, and I don't mind givin' her some shelter for the night. But first thing in the mornin' we're takin' her into town."
Later that night Eddie wakes up to her side of the bed empty. He goes searching for her in the living room and his heart pangs when he sees her curled up on the floor in the little pin he made for the puppy. The dog is cuddled against her chest, content as can be while they both sleep.
Safe to say he ended up not being able to say no to her.
UGH I need him
I don’t think he’d dare even say no because he knows what that will bring. like he knows he’s gonna give in any ways, so he’d fight with her on “she’s not staying in the house.”
“eddie-“
“nope. i’ll make her a place out on the porch. make it nice and warm, but she’s not staying in the house.”
“it’s freezing out here!”
“fine, the garage. she’s not staying in the house. she’s filthy.”
“i’m going to give her a bath!”
“no. she’s not staying in the house. i’m not having a dog piss everywhere and tear shit up.” he shakes his head. “we can take her to the vet tomorrow, get her checked out, but no. not in the house.”
“fine.” your lips snarl. “i’m staying with her.”
“the hell you are-“
“-she’s scared, eddie!” you shrill. “i’m not leaving her alone so you can either let her stay in the house, or i’ll sleep outside with her. your choice.”
and eddie is fucking fuming. he’d never had an inside dog before ever. ever. his grandparents were the old school type, the dogs stayed outside on the farm.
still, the dog slowly became an inside dog. your dog, that was for sure. you carried her around like a little baby, spoiled her.
definitely one of those situations where eddie ends up loving her. i love it.

Photo (for the one word prompt)
Used a fic idea i had since i basically joined this fandom but never wrote so i got carried away and wrote 1580 words 0.0
This fic idea came to me when playing totk for the first time when it first came out, i took a photo of the old champions photo and put it in the gallery of my new house
Get ready for some fluff! (From me? I know, shocking!)
Send me a one word writing prompt
"And this room, i actually made with you guys in mind... i didn't have space for full beds but those mattresses are a lot comfier than a sleeping roll. Sometimes i even prefered sleeping in here than in my own bedroom," imagining that i was still with you lot, he left out. Wild turned back to the chain as he finished showing them around his new home. Twilight glanced around, noting something,
"Where is the champions photo? I thought of all things you would want to bring, it would be that?"
Wild tried to hide his upset expression, "well, Zelda kept it... and she is the one with all the real memories of them... so its okay"
He tried not to think about losing the champions photo, but he couldnt help but think it was like loosing them all over again. Still, nothing would come from burdening the chain with his emotions.
---------------------
The next day, while Wild was out running errands, Legend burst into their shared room on the top floor, canvas and paints in his arms, dumping them on the table in the center of the room,
"We're painting him a new one."
"What?"
"You saw how sad he looked when he didn't have the champion's photo; we are repainting him a new one"
Warriors grinned at the vet, "wow, didn't know you were soft, collector."
That earned a glare, "You never know when you could lose someone, sometimes you need something to keep their memory alive, like a song, or a picture."
A few of them nodded in agreement.
"Right, who's doing what?" Time said as they all gathered around the table.
Wind's hand shot up first, "ooh, OOH! I can draw! Let me draw it!"
Legend looked at him, "okay, you do the sketch and i do the painting, BUT im gonna check over the sketch before we're done" ever the perfectionist.
Sky nudged Four, "bet we can make a pretty good frame eh?" Four grinned back and nodded, running off to find somewhere he could start.
Roles were assigned to each member: Four and Sky would work on a frame, Wind would sketch and Legend would paint, Warriors would find Flora and ask to borrow the original photo as reference, Time would also go with him to learn more about the champions, and finally, Hyrule and Twilight, having no artistic skill and being the closest to their cook would distract Wild until the painting was finished. It was a good plan, and they began too work.
---------------------
Legend and Wind sat in the top room all day, Wind was getting frustrated at how the sketch was just not looking right, Legend came to pull the pencil away,
"No you do it like this!" He said, rubbing out a piece of the drawing and sketching it on himself. Wind's eyes widened in understanding, and he grabbed the pencil again, fixing up other similar mistakes. Legend noted that the rito happened to look the best and he had to wonder if that was because it was the only race outside of hylians he had a lot of experience with. Wind noticed the same thing. He almost felt the spirit of the rito looking smug as he pridefully gloated on the others, and Wind giggled.
---------------------
"It's really nice you're doing this for him, i wasn't aware that he would feel upset that i kept the photo. I thought he would come and tell me if something was upsetting him," Flora said as they sat around the table in her own house in Hateno village. Warriors and Time had told Wild that they wanted to speak to her and Wild, being unsuspecting at the two 'leaders' of the group wanting to gather information, called Zelda over with the Purah Pad. She had teleported to them with the old Sheika Slate and Warriors couldn't help but gape at the glowing blue antlers and her purple and blue eyes. Zelda then proceded to take them to her house once they told her they wanted to speak to her in private, much to the displeasure of Wild, who wanted her nearby to make sure she was safe, not that anyone could blame him.
Time smiled at her, "well, hiding one's emotions do seem to come with the hero's spirit"
She nodded uncertainly.
Wars drew the girl's attention, "Can you tell us about the champions? Our friends Sky and Four would like to make a frame and were hoping to make it something special."
---------------------
Wild excitedly showed them around Tarrey town and was pulling Twilight and Hyrule along with him. When wild came running back to the house, Twilight first asked to have help with Epona, but because the house stable was already occupied, they had to go to the nearest stable. Hyrule also tagged along, hoping to use up time exploring once Wild's attention would eventually shift from horses to something else. Twilight was currently just following behind them, trying to catch up to the duo and making sure they didn't get hurt.
Wild had decided that it was a good idea to dive off the side of the town and into the water to reach the construction grounds. Twilight tried to stop him but the champion, as slippery as he is, got past him, already with his shirt off and shouting as he went down, followed by a massive splash that almost reached up to them. Twilight sighed and turned around, only to see Hyrule missing from his side. The traveler's laughter joined Wild's own as he knelt on the moving tracks platform and waved at him, Wild waving back as he swam to shore. Twilight sighed harder but smiled, at least his brother seemed in a better mood.
---------------------
Sky hummed to the rythm of Four's hammer hitting metal. The skyloftian had decided to join the smithy in the forge to spend time with him. The carving in his hands would theoretically slot into what four was making, the metal to hold the canvas in place and the wood for the details. Sky used what Warriors and the old man had relayed to them from Flora to create intricate markings which he hoped represented the champions. Four hammered away, joining his humming with his own layer to the tune until he stopped hammering and looked at his work, "how does that look?" He asked, sky stood up, halfing his unfinished piece nearby and comparing the two, looking at the but where the two would slide in together, "it looks great!"
---------------------
Hyrule excitedly dragged Wild to the top room by his arms. When the champion saw everyone in the room he looked confused, waiting for an answer. "We made something for you" Wind said, ushering him to the table.
Wild walked up to the table to see a canvas resting on it, one with a very familiar image. His breath hitched in his throat as he silently.
It was almost identical to the original image, the champions photo, but newer. Everone in the image looked perfect, careful strokes of paint marking out their individual features. Wild sniffled as he inspected the frame. Wood and metal worked into eachother. The metal sides of the frame had the words "champions ballad" indented in his hylian. The wooden sides had carvings, depicting the four regions the champions came from, it also had things which he knew the champions loved from his scattered memories. There were indentations of more things, and Wild wondered where they got this information from. The frame was detailed, he could also see where the wood and metal intertwined with one another. There were no carvings of the divine beasts, Wild noticed suddenly, no marks of duty; just six friends, together and happy.
Wild worlessly looked up at his traveling companions, and only now noticed the river of tears running down his face.
Twilight stepped forwards, offering Wild a tissue, "legend was the one who suggested we do this because we saw how sad you were about not having the original. He and Wind sketched and painted it. Wars and Time got the original image from Flora and learned about the champions for the details on the frame, which Sky and Four both made. Hyrule and I were distracting you so it could be a surprise"
Wild sniffed, happy tears overflowing him, "th-thank you guys, it really means a lot" his voice cracked, "i-um... can we take a new one? With all of us? If you dont mind" he stuttered.
---------------------
Flora held the Purah Pad, looking through the lens. She called out, telling everyone to move around and making sure they were in shot, "Time, move down, yeah like Warriors, you might not be that tall but you are still out of shot" laugheter errupted out of the others, the old man deadpanned before his face returned to his smile. Flora decided to take advantage of everyone's laughing faces, "Ready?" She giggled, borrowing Purah's iconic phrase "Click-" Twilight grinned mischieviously, "-snap!" And pulled everyone in suddenly with his strong arms.
The image was put up next to the champions painting on the top floor where they all slept. Wild took a step back, smiling softly. Everyone had a mixture of shocked and laughing faces, Wild himself, in the middle with a beaming smile and a tear running down his cheek...

Without further ado, here is the first chapter of We're Gonna Need a Bigger Pentagram!
Fandoms: Six of Crows, Shadow & Bone (TV)
Rating: T
Relationships: Crows as found family (with minor Helnik, Kanej, and Wesper)
Modern/Housemates/Magic AU, Nina POV, Supernatural chosen family shenanigans with a side of humor
Ongoing (Ch. 1 of 6)
Summary: Nina Zenik is a vet med student who's almost done with her clinical rotations... but she's also secretly a very powerful witch. When someone brings a cursed, injured werewolf into the animal hospital, Nina decides to try to save his life, despite the bitter hatred that exists between wolves and witches. She enlists the help of her housemates, Jesper (who's also a witch), Inej (who's fae), and Kaz (who may or may not be a vampire). But breaking this curse requires more than Nina bargained for, and time is running out. Can the Crows save the werewolf before it's too late? More importantly, can they do it under the nose of their all-too-human housemate, Wylan? And--perhaps the most important question of all--will Nina finally get some decent waffles?
Read the first chapter (3k) below or on AO3.
Chapter 1: Why did it have to be werewolves?
(CW for non-graphic mentions of blood & injury, harm to an animal, brief references to drugs [anesthesia, weed])
The thing about werewolves, Nina thought, risking one more glance over her shoulder at the slab of fur trembling in her backseat, was that they didn’t exactly sedate easily.
Although that was probably a good thing, she supposed. If this particular wolf had gone down after the first two tranquilizers, then perhaps she never would have been called back to help, and then she would have been too late to do anything. Did you hear about the wolf? Park ranger brought him in. Hit by a car, probably. Too bad we couldn’t save him. So weird how his body seemed to reject every medication, every suture. Oh well, c’est la vie, back to the horses and the goats.
But he hadn’t gone down, and one of the techs had thundered past, shouting at her to come quick and give us a hand!
When Nina had arrived in the operating room, she knew immediately that this was no ordinary wolf. She could feel the prickle of magic tingling up her spine, could smell the supernatural on him. He was stretched out on a table, a mountain of silvery-gray fur, enormous and blood-soaked, still thrashing feebly even as three techs tried to hold him down.
She froze, staring at the shape of his muzzle, the slope of his ears—just a little off, nothing to notice unless you knew what to look for. His head had flopped over, and for a long moment the werewolf made eye contact with her. Nina let out a soft gasp despite herself, despite the fact that she’d seen shifted wolves a handful of times before. She knew that their eyes always looked so unbearably human, and yet—it caught her by surprise, the moment of recognition when he noticed her, the heartbreak and terror and pain in his expression, the shame.
Nina felt her heart shatter, just a little.
“Zenik, grab the tranq!” one of the techs had shouted at her as the wolf seemed to regain more of his energy, breaking away from her gaze to thrash more earnestly.
She hadn’t bothered to think it through. While there was still some part of her that recoiled like a hissing cat at the presence of a werewolf, some part of her that screamed danger! at the sight of his gleaming fangs that had probably killed countless witches in the past, those instincts had been overwhelmed by the pain in the wolf’s eyes and the knowledge that if she didn’t do something right now, she would have to watch him die.
Her decision was already made, one hand already surreptitiously weaving the spell as she picked up the syringe with the other. She needed to work quickly if she was going to have any chance at all.
She didn’t know much about werewolf biology. The packs were notoriously private, protective of any and all information regarding their own species, but what she did know was that it was incredibly dangerous—impossible, even—for outsiders to treat wolves in their shifted forms. Only pack healers had any hope of actually helping in these sorts of situations. And, of course, the fact that this wolf was shifted right now was another complicating factor in and of itself. It wasn’t a full moon, which meant that something had gone terribly wrong for this wolf to get shift-stuck—some kind of spell, she guessed, judging by the oppressive feeling of magic roiling off his body.
If her colleagues—regular, ordinary human vets who had no idea the supernatural world existed at all—tried to help the wolf, she was certain he’d end up dead in less than an hour. But of course, she’d reminded herself as her enchantment began to take hold, I don’t know how to safely help him, either.
The wolf had finally slumped down onto the table, unconscious… followed by all of the humans in the room, each pausing in the middle of whatever they’d been doing, still standing but otherwise out cold.
Nina had shaken out her wrists, cracked her neck, and started weaving the memory glamour. Her first thought was to make them forget the wolf had come in at all, but that would mean trying to account for the lost time, as well as finding the park ranger later to erase everything for her, too. Removing memories was always trickier anyway—you ran the risk of leaving a gap, an itch that the brain longed to scratch and scratch until it found an answer. Her coworkers might not remember the wolf, but some of them might have an unshakeable sense that something had happened, something strange and noteworthy they couldn’t quite recall, and that meant people might start asking questions, poking and prodding.
No, it would be easier to convince everyone that the wolf had died from his injuries not long after arriving, that his body had already been picked up by wildlife services, that all that anyone needed to do now was complete the requisite paperwork.
It would be quick, shoddy spellwork either way, and she’d probably have to fudge some records in the database during her next shift, but figuring out a plan to save the wolf came first.
The moment the glamour was complete, she’d whipped her phone out, putting the call on speaker so she could keep her hands free.
Genya picked up after three rings. “Hey, what’s up?”
“I need a favor,” she’d said without preamble, maneuvering a trolley over towards the wolf. It had probably taken four people to lift him up onto the table, but Nina had magic and gravity on her side.
“Okay…?” Genya sounded nervous, and given the wild sorts of favors she’d asked for in the past, Nina couldn’t really blame her.
“Can you get in touch with your contact in the Drüskelle pack? Someone brought in a wolf today—one of theirs, most likely—and I can’t do much to help him when he’s shift-stuck like this.”
Genya had taken a moment to process all of that—a shifted, injured werewolf, brought into the East Ketterdam Large Animal Hospital as if he were no different from the farm animals and racing horses they usually treated—then finally said, “I can try.”
“Good. I’m bringing him back to my place. Have them send a healer there.”
Genya hung up right before Nina’s spell slipped under the wolf’s enormous weight, causing him to fall the last few inches down onto the metal trolley with a loud crash. Even unconscious, the wolf whimpered in pain.
“Sorry,” she’d whispered, before turning her attention to the problem of getting to the parking lot without being seen.
And that was how Nina had ended up driving home as fast as she dared with a werewolf bleeding out in her backseat.
Her sleep spell was fairly strong, but she had no idea how long it would last on a creature this large, so she renewed the enchantment at every red light, just in case.
She also called Inej, the normally melodic timbre of her housemate’s voice sounding tinny and distorted when routed through the car’s speakers.
“What’s wrong, Nina?”
“What makes you think anything is wrong?” She drummed her fingers nervously on the wheel and fought the urge to look back at the wolf again. He was still breathing—she could feel it—but she wanted to check anyway. Just in case.
“If nothing was wrong, you would’ve just texted.”
“Maybe I wanted to hear my best friend’s voice.”
“Nina,” Inej sighed, “just tell me.”
Nina huffed in response. “Fine. Look, is everyone at home?”
“I think so? Well, Jesper had some meetings but he’s on his way back here. He said he was gonna stop and pick up pizza for everyone.”
“Okay, if he gets back before me, I need him to start weaving some soundproofing spells in the basement. Go ahead and grab my bestiary and bring it down there, and my potions kit, too. And we’re gonna need lots of towels, as many as you can find. You’ll have to keep Wylan upstairs somehow.”
Nina hit another red light and bit her lip to reign in a frustrated groan. This is taking too long.
“It’s Thursday. Wylan’s probably planning to do his laundry tonight,” Inej replied.
“You’ll just have to think of some excuse. Tell him the machine is broken or something. But he can’t be down there.”
“And why is that, exactly?”
Cars streamed past in front of her, racing endlessly through the intersection, their light still green, Nina’s still red.
Fuck it. She raised her hands over the steering wheel and mumbled the incantation under her breath, improvising the words a little to fit the magic to the stoplight—it was technically a spell meant for turning an ordinary light on and off, but she thought it might work.
For a moment, nothing happened, and Nina worried that perhaps the stoplight mechanism had too many switches and circuits or too many digital parts for her simple spell to have any effect. She’d never been great with technomagic—as a heartrender, blood and bodies were her specialty—and the more something was computerized and complex, the harder it was for her to navigate. But then…
One last flick of her wrist, and the light for the cross traffic went yellow.
“Nina?” Inej’s voice was sharper now, closer to a warning. “What’s going on?”
Green light. Fucking finally.
“Soooo,” she began, her car surging forward again, “I may or may not be bringing work home.”
“If this is another goat, Nina, I swear…”
Nina winced. Once, she’d snuck a dying goat out of the clinic when her coworkers had decided there was nothing left to be done for the poor creature. And when it came to a human understanding of veterinary medicine, perhaps they were correct, but Nina knew she could save him with the spells in her bestiary and the power of her blood magic. She’d known her housemates wouldn’t exactly be thrilled about the situation. What she hadn’tanticipated was Jesper getting attached.
So now, Milo the goat lived in the shed beside the greenhouse, to the immense displeasure of everyone in Crow House except Jesper. When he stayed in his pen, Milo was tolerable, even adorable, but when he escaped—as he did at least two or three times a month—he became a menace, eating anything he could get his nasty little hooves on. So far, Milo’s list of victims included some of Wylan’s sheet music, one of Nina’s astrological grimoires, a pair of Inej’s pointe shoes, three pairs of Kaz’s ridiculously expensive gloves, multiple waffles, an entire carton of wontons, and some of everything that Jesper and Nina grew in the greenhouse out back, including an unholy amount of weed.
“The good news is, it’s not a goat,” Nina said brightly.
Inej heaved a resigned sigh. “And the bad news…?”
“The bad news is that it’s a werewolf.”
“Nina!” Inej groaned.
“He’s dying! And shift-stuck! What was I supposed to do?” Nina took a turn a little too hard, and in the backseat, the wolf slid and hit his muzzle against the door. Shit.
“What can you even do? You can’t treat a shifted wolf.”
“I know!” Her fingers clenched around the wheel. “Look, it’s temporary, okay? I’ve already called a friend who has contacts in the local pack. They’ll send someone to help and then it won’t be our problem anymore. We just need to keep him stable until the healer comes.”
Inej was quiet on the other end for a long moment. Eventually, she said, “Fine. I’ll see what towels I can find.”
Nina blew out her breath, relieved. “Thank you. I’ll be there in fifteen. It might be good to have some blood on hand, if Kaz has any. And make sure Wylan…”
“Yeah, I’ll keep him upstairs,” Inej interrupted. “See you soon.”
The call disconnected. Nina pressed a thumb to her temple where a headache had already started to build, rubbing the pad of her finger into the skin and releasing a small thread of magic to chase the pain away.
She knew Inej was irritated with her, but at least Nina could trust that her best friend would be on board with helping an injured creature. Inej was kind like that—compassionate, always empathetic with the pain of others. She wouldn’t just let the wolf die, even if taking him in was inconvenient in a number of ways. And Jesper probably wouldn’t mind much either. He was always down for Nina’s wild and unexpected shenanigans, as long as no harm came to his friends or to his precious hats. If all went well, Wylan would never know anything was happening. But Kaz…
Kaz is going to absolutely hate this.
The situation ticked off almost every box on the list of things Kaz didn’t like: last-minute surprises, strangers in his space, unnecessary risks, sticking his neck out for other people, making Nina happy. And while most decisions in Crow House were made democratically, Kaz remained resolutely in charge of the chore schedule, which he enforced by subtly reminding his housemates that he could drain all the money from their bank accounts—and possibly all the blood from their bodies—in the blink of an eye. Nina had a feeling there would be a lot of toilet scrubbing in her future.
She was only a few minutes away from home when her phone rang again.
“I managed to get in touch with the pack,” Genya said when she picked up.
Immediately, Nina could hear something cautious in her tone, something grim. “And?”
“They’re not sending anyone.”
“Why the hell not?” Without meaning to, Nina found herself nearly shouting.
“Nina…”
She didn’t have to see Genya’s face to know what expression she wore in that moment—Nina had seen it too many times during her years with the Grisha to ever forget, not just from Genya but from everyone. Zoya’s infuriatingly calm voice echoed through her head, shaming her, as always, for being too fucking much, for acting recklessly from a place of emotion rather than trying to be reasonable. Slow down, Nina. Get ahold of your anger. Control yourself.
And as always, it only served to make her even more enraged.
“They’re the only ones who can help him! Are they really just going to let one of their own die?”
Genya sighed. “Yes, that’s exactly what they’re going to do. In fact, I think it was their goal all along.”
“What?” she screeched, stomping on the brakes in her anger.
Luckily, there was no one on the street behind her, although the wolf did slide forward a bit on the backseat, letting out another heart-wrenching whimper of pain.
“The guy I spoke to was being cagey about it, but I think I pieced most of the story together. The wolf is called Matthias Helvar, and the Drüskelle exiled him from their pack about a month ago.”
“Why?” Nina made no move to start driving forward again, not trusting herself to keep control of the car in that moment.
“I’m not sure. It sounds like he broke pack law, screwed up badly enough that they not only kicked him out but also cursed him.”
Cursed? Nina glanced over her shoulder at the shivering, unconscious wolf, covered in congealing blood that clumped in his fur and stained the fabric of the seat below him, and she suddenly understood.
“That’s why he’s shift-stuck,” she murmured, shocked by the cruelty of it.
“From what I gather, it’s some kind of… werewolf reversal? Where he’s only in his human form on the full moon and stays shifted the rest of the time, instead of the other way around. Apparently, he followed one of their hunting parties down to Ketterdam and was trying to sneak into their camp. When they chased him off, he ran onto the highway and got hit by a semi-truck.”
“So they already knew he was injured?”
Genya’s voice was quiet when she replied, “Nina, they left him for dead.”
Nina knew all too well what it was like to be betrayed and abandoned by the people who were supposed to be your family, but this… She shook her head, angry tears pricking at her eyes. This wolf—this Matthias—had been exiled, cursed, and left to die on the side of a highway by his own pack. Surely, no transgression against Drüskelle law was awful enough to merit that kind of punishment, right?
Faint memories of her lessons at the Little Palace began to trickle in—diagrams in textbooks illustrating the cold, draconian hierarchies of the Northern packs, lectures about wolf culture that devolved into tirades about the Drüskelle’s violent attempts to destroy not only the Grisha organization, but all witches everywhere, fueled by their hypocritical ideology that saw werewolves as the next step in evolution but witches as an unnatural abomination to be cleansed from the earth like a plague. The wolves are not like us, she remembered hearing, over and over. They did not come from the Other Realm but instead began as humans, and like humans, they cannot be trusted.
Nina had spent the past few years trying to unlearn the prejudice and cynicism instilled in her at the Little Palace, with varying levels of success, but now, she wondered if perhaps they’d been right about some things.
“What are you going to do?” Genya asked.
“I don’t know,” she replied, trying—and likely failing—not to sound too murderous. “I’ll figure something out.”
“Just remember that he’s a wolf, Nina.”
“Does that mean he deserves to die?” she snapped in response.
“No, but he probably thinks that you do, just by virtue of existing as a witch. He may not want your help, and even if you do somehow manage to save him, he might very well kill you in your sleep instead of saying thank you.”
Nina knew she was probably right, and yet… This is why I left—so I could help everyone, not just the people that the Grisha think are worth saving.
“I can handle myself. And I’m not going to sink to their level. Unlike some people, I’m not obsessed with only protecting my own kind.”
With that, Nina hung up and disconnected the phone from the car’s bluetooth, and then, for good measure, put her phone on silent and tossed it into her bag in the passenger seat. She knew she wasn’t being fair, especially since Genya was one of the only people in the Grisha still willing to help her now that she’d gone independent. But it was hard not to be angry when she could hear Matthias’s heartbeat fluttering dangerously just a few feet behind her, could feel his nerves sparking with pain, knowing that his own family had let it happen, caused it to happen, because of one mistake.
It was hard not to relate—even if that meant empathizing with a damn werewolf.
A sudden honk behind her reminded Nina that she was still stopped in the middle of the road.
“Alright, I’m going! Saints.” She finally lifted her foot from the brake and got the car moving again, squeezing the wheel tightly to stop her hands from trembling. Her headache was already coming back—she’d probably need to take one of those human painkillers when she got home and conserve her magical energy for… well, for whatever it was going to take to help this wolf.
Maybe Matthias wouldn’t want her help. Maybe he would try to attack her (although in that case, she could always sic Kaz on him). Maybe she wouldn’t be able to do anything at all and the wolf would die in their basement amongst the piles of Jesper’s dirty laundry and Inej’s sweat-soaked practice mats.
But Nina Zenik had never once backed down from a challenge. She’d been top of her class in vet school for three years in a row and was the best heartrender the Little Palace had seen in more than a century—even Zoya had admitted it. And if there was any chance at all of saving this wolf, nothing in this realm or the next could stop Nina from trying…
Not even her housemates.

In the past coupla years, as in, like, three... I've had to deal with a lot of cats and a lot of cat health issues and spend a whole lotta money at various vets around here.
And because I had to deal with so many cat health issues, I guess I hyperfixated on YouTube vet shows and such that exposed me to even more health issues that pets can have.
So when, yesterday, K brings me one of her young Manx cats all, "Something's wrong!" and sets him down and his head's tilted and his balance is all wonky, I immediately check his ears and see a whole buncha dark gunk in there. "It's probably an ear infection that's Really Bad. Make an appointment so that it doesn't get worse and we'll start treating it with what we can until then."
Got an appointment for three days later.
We did not get to wait that long because, later that afternoon, we noticed he was looking out the window and his head was shaking. Just wobbling back and forth a little and not at all stable. So I go over to him and grab his little face and his eyes are jerking back and forth like his whole ass world is spinning and he's just trying to focus on something and he can't.
And that, my friends, is vestibular disease.
So, we call the vet and zoom his ass up there because No One wants to exist in a constant state of Everything Is Spinning--he'd already thrown up once--and before K can explain all we have observed...
"Poison. Was he poisoned? Could he have been poisoned? Are you sure he wasn't poisoned?"
Y'all this cat has been in a kennel for two days straight now because we haven't had him fixed yet and one of the girls is in heat. He could not get to no poison.
And, like. They didn't even ask it like, "We're just ruling out the most urgent reason a pet can be losing balance so fast," they asked it like, "HOW DARE YOU EXPOSE YOUR PET TO POISON! Even though we have yet to remove the cat from the carrier, we are sure this is the cause of the problem!!!"
Bruh. 🙂
So, anyway, after they were finally done of accusing K of negligence or malicious intent, the rude ass receptionist FINALLY goes, "Well, maybe it IS just a bad case of ear mites."
🙃🙃🙃🙃
They kept him overnight for observation and I don't wanna know how much this shit's gonna cost but, like... Good God, y'all. I KNEW TO CHECK HIS EARS WITH THE HEAD TILT AND UNSTEADINESS! I knew to check the eyes later! And that was an afterthought to these two vet techs & receptionist.

Kane: Where should we go for our walk babe?
Morgan: Let's go down by the water today, it's always so peaceful this time of day.
Kane: Sounds good to me, let's go.
Kane: Hey what's that lying on the grass over there? It looks like a small dog.
Morgan: No idea, let's go check it out.
Morgan: Be careful it doesn't bite you.
Kane: I'm pretty sure she won't bite, she just looks really scared that's all.
Kane: We can't leave her here all alone babe.
Morgan: What did you want to do? Bring her back to your place, she might belong to someone.
Kane: I'll bring her to the vet to see if she has a microchip. You head back to my place and I'll be there soon.
Morgan: Ok if that's what you wanna do. I'll start dinner in a half-hour, so it should be ready by the time you get back.
Kane: Ok babe, be back soon.
Veterinary: Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to have a microchip, so there is no way to find her owner. On the other hand, she seems quite healthy so that's good. I gave her the shots she needed so you're good to go.
Kane: That's great doc. Guess I'll bring her home for now and check the pet forums to see if anyone is missing a dog. Hopefully my boyfriend won't be too upset with me for bringing her home.
Veterinary: How can anyone be upset with such a cute little dog. If you run into any problems just give us a call.
Kane: Thanks doc.
Morgan: Hey Matt, what's up?
Matt: You have time to talk?
Morgan: Yeah I'm here alone, Kane took a stray dog we found on our walk to the vet so he won't be home for at least an hour. What you want to talk about?
Matt: Well Bella and I found an apartment in Willow Creek we're gonna rent and I really need your help convincing Ma and Pop to move into the other apartment for rent in the building. The air in Evergreen Harbor is really starting to affect Pop's health and I really think the move would be good for both of them.
Morgan: No problem bro I'll call Ma and invite her to lunch. I can kill two birds with one stone. Talk to her about Kane and about moving here to Willow Creek to be closer to her favorite son haha.
Matt: Yeah yeah shit head, we both know I'm her favorite. But yeah that would be great.
Morgan: I'll let you know what time and what restaurant, and you and Ma can meet me there.
Matt: Sounds good bro. Talk to you later.

thank you all so much for your kind words and support, my dear friends. i'm doing alright. to be honest, i'm actually more irritated than upset to have lost my job, because the means in which it happened is absolute fucking bullshit.
i'll give a watered down version of what happened if anyone is curious. also if anyone is curious, i gave a bit of a life update, too.
warning: this is gonna be long lmao #sorrynotsorry
basically a few weeks ago i got sick and couldn't work, so i requested a leave of absence. it was approved for two weeks, from the dates 1/31/24 to 2/14/24. my work computer would be locked during that range, so i would be unable to sign in and work.
during that time frame, i had been receiving emails from my work that required me to complete a task confirming that i would be returning to work on the 15th. those emails were delivered to my spam folder, and i wasn't even aware i was supposed to be getting any emails, so i never even thought to check there.
on the 15th, when i went to sign into my computer, i discovered that my computer was still locked. during the last week, my supervisor had been off of work as well because he was also sick, so all of my calls and texts to him were unanswered. also wanna mention i didn't know he was off because i wasn't told. anything.
so basically, nobody told me shit, i didn't complete the required task because i didn't know i had to, my work was like "welp we didn't get this from you so we're taking it that you don't want to return to work, so you're terminated" and there you have it. i lost my job because of their fuck up and in turn they're saying it's my fault.
pretty fucked up, yeah?
but anyway. i honestly can't say that i'm terribly upset. i'd grown to hate the job. it was too overwhelming, and i've learned that i just cannot handle a call center job. i've known this for a while now so for the past few months i've been applying everywhere for a job where it'll still be an office environment because that's what i have the most experience in, but being on the phone constantly isn't a requirement. remote and onsite jobs because i can't afford to be picky.
and some good news, i have an interview friday morning :) it's actually a remote hybrid position, at least that's what the ad said, so i can definitely work with that. might be good to get out of my house every once i a while. working from home has turned me into a bit of a hermit lmao.
now on to the life update. it's been...difficult. my new year did not start off very well. literally on new years day, at about 8 am, i was woken up to the unpleasant sounds of a cat throwing up a hairball. fellow cat owners, i'm sure you all know the sound. so i got up to make sure he was okay and that he got it out of his system. instead what i found was a trail of phlegm and romeo struggling. then he darted off to another part of my house, and i followed after him, worried.
i'm gonna give a little warning just to be safe: the next part mentions blood.
i will never forget the sight that greeted me when i found him and over a month later the image still haunts me. romeo's front was covered in blood, with the stuff literally pouring from his mouth and i fucking screamed and i SPRINTED to my bedroom to get my phone to call the emergency vet. i made an appointment to bring him in, and when i went to check on romeo again, he was in the same spot, however he'd managed to pass a fucking massive hairball. he seemed to be breathing okay and didn't seem to be in any pain, so not knowing what to do, i called my mom and i was sobbing as i tried to explain what happened. she and my sister (who's now living with my parents temporarily but that's another story) ended up coming over to make sure i was okay because when i tell you i was hysterical when i called her, i mean it. i was barely coherent and crying so hard she couldn't understand me.
while i waited for them to arrive, my boyfriend (who i was in a sleep call with and i woke his ass up) kept me calm until they got here. i love that man seriously.
ashley looked romeo over since she'd worked with cats before when she worked for the ASPCA and told he's going to be okay. they managed to calm me down and convinced me not to go to the emergency vet in the city as it'd be a $200 fee. my mom called my local vet, left a message (as they were closed because of the holiday) and we waited for a call back. romeo was still doing okay and i cleaned him up the best i could. guys the amount of blood was...concerning. like seriously i was terrified to see him like that, i seriously thought something was wrong. god it was awful and i'm pretty damn sure i have some kind of PTSD from it. christ.
when the emergency vet called back, she said that romeo is going to be okay and the blood is probably just because the hairball was larger than normal and it aggravated his esophagus. said to just keep an eye on him, try to get him to eat something easily digestable, and if he's still vomiting, to call back and get him in today via emergency services.
so now, moving on. obviously afterward i made an appointment for him at my local vet, and it was discovered there that Romeo had a large matted hairball in his stomach. the vet had no idea how long it had been there, but it definitely needed to be removed, so he was scheduled for surgery. his surgery was about a month ago, and he's recovering very well. i'm beginning to wonder if that hairball had been the culprit of him constantly throwing up because now he's acting like his usual self of having the zoomies and he's throwing up less hairballs. so he's doing much better and i'm grateful, tho i'm still keeping a very close on him because fuck i NEVER want to go through that again. damn cat's gonna give me an ulcer with how much stress he put me through.
but wait, there's more lmao. not cat related, but something i've also been dealing with that i thought had been resolved last fucking YEAR. so, last year - actually around this time in february - i received a notice from the IRS that i owed over $3000 to them because my 2021 tax return did not match what is in federal data bases. and i was like uuuhh what. i had my dad look it over because im dumb when it comes to this sort of thing, and it was discovered that my social security number was used to claim unemployment benefits for the year 2021 in fucking CALIFORNIA. it's unclear if someone in the unemployment services in CA fucked up and typed in somebody's social wrong and used mine instead, or if someone in CA is deliberately using my SSN, but in either case, it's being used to claim UI. so i had to contact the unemployment services in CA which is called employment development department (i'll be calling it EDD) and guys lemme tell they are fucking IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. they are so understaffed that if someone is unavailable to take your call the automated system goes "sorry no one is available" and it just disconnects. so i had to call so many times to get myself into the damned queue, and even then the wait is nearly 30 minutes.
so i finally managed to get a human being, i explained everything to him, and he was able to confirm that yeah, i see the claim, you obviously don't live in california, and he told me to submit a fraud report stating that i don't live in ca, i have never lived in ca, i have no attachment to the workforce in ca, ect ect. i so submitted it, and then that was that and i thought that was the end of it and i didn't get anything else from the IRS for the rest of the year.
it was not.
the only reason i realized that this issue had NOT been resolved was because when i went to check the status of my federal tax return because GIMME MY DAMN MONEY I NEED IT, i got a message saying my refund had been "applied to overdue tax obligations" and i was like HELL NO so i called the IRS and yep they confirmed it was because of that stupid fucking unemployment bullshit and after yet again explaining everything that happened, they instructed me to call the EDD and ask for them to send me a corrected 1099 G form so i can in turn send it over to them then after that fill out an identify theft affidavit. so yet again, i called the EDD five million fucking times, managed to get in the queue, waited an ungodly amount of time to talk to a human, only to be told that lol sorry they can't prove that the claim isn't fraud just from what i told them so they can't send me a 1099 G form. im like?? BITCH I DON'T EVEN LIVE IN CALIFORNIA I NEVER HAVE YOU LITERALLY HAVE MY SSN CAN'T YOU LOOK THIS SHIT UP??? but nope they don't have proof so i was told i need to file an appeal on the "disqualification on the claim" (whatever tf that means) and submit ANOTHER fraud report.
so i did both of those things, then filled out the 14039 form (identity theft affidavit) and now i have to wait until march 4th to see if it was accepted and if i'll be getting my refund. which i desperately need because lol i haven't paid my rent this month :')) whoops.
moving on. since about last may, my kitchen has been getting renovated. so currently i do not have a kitchen. i don't have an oven, a kitchen sink, or even storage. well i kinda have storage because my cabinets were recently put up, but i can't use them all yet. i havent really been able to go grocery shopping and i've been living on microwavable meals and a LOT of takeout courtesy of doordash. it sucks because i MISS my kitchen, i wanna cook meals and actually fucking CLEAN MY HOUSE, but i can't. my dad has been amazing since he's the one doing it, and i'm forever grateful to him. my kitchen is about i'd say...maybe 80% finished. we're working on putting in the new flooring right now, so after that, i'll have my stove and sink again. it's nearly there!! i'll post pictures of the before and after is anyone is curious. so yeah i haven't had a kitchen for like almost a whole year lmao. it's been tough :'))
SO.
there you have it, folks. what i've been dealing with for the past month and a half. it has been stressful AF and please god i just need a break uuugghhh. but anyway, i applied for unemployment and waiting to see if i'll be getting anything from them as i continue my job search. hoping the interview friday goes well. i'll post an update if anyone is curious enough i suppose.
.....so i didn't mean for this to get so long lol thanks for sticking around to read the entire thing if you did. i'm glad some of my followers still care ❤️
i love you all and thanks for supporting me after all these years. grateful to have you guys and call you my friends.
anyway i'm gonna go play some DayZ and kill some zombies.
peace!
welp
lost my job lol
#dammit keiz#long post#shit#this is long lmao#anyway#life update#and other shit#ngl i love how you can edit tags now instead of having to delete the whole fucking thing#finally tumblr actually doing something useful for a change

Since we're talking about the todoroki clan, what would they react if their kid got back from school and bring home a stray kitten, like the reader would be like: can we keep it?🥺
Todoroki clan x reader who brings a stray kitten home
Check out my MASTERLIST for more!
Todoroki clan:
Hmm, different reactions from everyone really.
Rei would be immediately on board because it'll be like "having a baby for her baby", you know? But then she'll remember that Enji hasn't allowed any pets ever in his home, so he might not like this stray kitten. But she can't say no to your adorable face, so she'll just tell you to ask Enji.
Its true. Enji hasn't ever allowed pets in his home. They're a distraction. But that so pre-redemption Enji. Post-redemption Enji is feeling immensely guilty because he forced you to become the family's therapist/service dog, so he'll allow you to keep the pet. Hell, you could've brought a tiger home and he would've allowed it.
Natsuo would also be okay with the idea but he'll take the kitten to the vet so that its all vaccinated and declawed. If the kitten is a bit sick, then he'll get it treated too. He doesn't need you getting sick because of it.
Shotou would be kind of wary at first because he doesn't want you to waste your time on something else? But then he sees how happy the kitten makes you and he'll be all for it. He'll even go to the pet shops with you to buy toys for the kitten. Plus, he gets to spend more time with you when you're both playing with the kitten.
You thought Fuyumi was happy that you adopted the stray kitten. But then one day you found her in her room with your kitten. "You think you're so sly, don't you? You think just because you can follow a laser pointer and act all cute, my sister loves you more than me? Well, you're wrong Rice Ball!"she yelled at your kitten, Rice Ball.
Dabi didn't really care that you had gotten a new pet. But, it was fun to see your reaction when he would threaten to burn the very flammable Rice Ball in front of you, all because you didn't say you missed him. Of course, he wouldn't actually harm the pet. He's not crazy, you know.
Man, I still remember when my neighbour's dog ran towards me, full speed, and you know, rational part of my brain was like "the dog probably recognised me, so he's coming to greet me or play with me", the rest of my mind was like "this is it. Youre gonna die." And then he like stood up and leaned on me, his face almost reaching mine, and you know, I always thought that's a cute dog, but at that moment, his dog eyes looked a little too human like.
It was fine though, the dog just recognised me.

---------------------------------
“Hey, Jan? I was just at the vet... it’s.... over....”
“Oh, honey, I’m so sorry... Are you going home now?”
sniffle “Yeah...”
“I’ll be right there.”
“Okay...”
Janus used the spare key he had to Patton’s apartment. “Patton, darling?” He called and closed the door behind him. He heard soft sobs greeting him from the living room. “Oh, baby...” He hurried to the living room and found his friend curled up on the sofa, clutching a small baby blue blanket to his chest. His face was puffed and red, and tears were streaming down his cheeks non stop.
“Patton, honey...” Janus clicked his tongue and quickly sat beside Patton, opening his arms for the other to snuggle in his embrace. The moment he was sat Patton clung to his torso and sobbed hard and loud, burying his face in Janus' chest and wetting his shirt with tears. Janus frowned, his brows furrowing in concern, and started rubbing slow circles on Patton back.
“I’m so sorry...” He whispered. “Shhhhhh.....” Janus started rocking gently back and forth, trying to sooth Patton’s ache.
They sat like that for a few minutes, holding each other. Janus took the opportunity to look around at the apartment. It was a really saddening look. Everywhere you looked there were cat themed objects. Never mind the cat stickers decorating the walls and the little kitty sculptures on the shelves, everything in this house screamed that there’s a feline resident in there.
A brown cat bed with a monkey plushie sitting in its corner.
Three carton boxes in different sizes were lined up opened against the wall.
A carton board on the floor beneath a blue bench that was much too small for a human. The board was covered in claw marks and teared a bit in the edges.
Toys were scattered everywhere on the floor. Mice, spikey balls, balls with little bells inside. There was one cat wand on the floor near the cat bed, a stick with a brown furry string and several colorful feathers tied to the end.
A blue cat tree was standing next to the sofa, a plaid blanket cushioned the lowest platform.
The armchair was covered in absurd amounts of cat fur, as if to say this was her spot, no one else's.
Janus lifted his gaze upwards. The walls weren't spared either. On two different walls there were blue cushioned shelves designed as stairs, going from the floor to a level above Janus' head as he stood in his full height, and Patton was shorter than him. On one step of the stairs sat a small tiger plushie.
As Patton's sobs slowly quieted down, the silence between the two was disturbed only by a small water fountain in the corner of the room, trickling steadily.
Patton didn’t want to let go of Janus. He felt like someone pulled the rug from under his feet, and Janus' firm hands were his only lifeline. He smelled nice, too, as much as Patton was able to smell with a stuffy nose from all the crying. Like the comfort and nostalgia of opening an old book with yellowing pages, with just a hint of cologne. He was warm, and it felt comforting to be held by him, like a comfort blanket. Patton was no longer crying, just inhaling Janus' scent softly to ground himself. Janus' fingers caressed the back of his head and Patton leaned into the touch.
Eventually Janus broke the silence.
"She's had a good life." He whispered into Patton's hair, and Patton felt the vibrations rumble in his chest.
Patton sighed heavily. "Yeah..." he mumbled. Sniffling once, he pulled himself away and wiped the remaining tears off his cheeks, the ones that weren't coating Janus' shirt. He looked down at the blanket he was holding.
"That's hers, right?" Janus asked.
"Yeah," said Patton, "I used it to get her into the cage, you know how she gets," he chuckled humorlessly. Janus gave him a sad smile. "She was also... wrapped in it when... when the vet... you know..."
"Yeah..." Janus rubbed his hand on Patton's arm comfortingly.
"You know, she's had a kidney failure two years ago, and the vet said that we're only prolonging the inevitable. Eventually it'll happen again and it'll be the end," Patton busied his hand with the hem of the blanket, "but I thought it'll be at least... five years, you know? Not two. Not that it wouldn't have been hard either way, but, still... It's just... so abrupt," he frowned, the tears threatening to overflow again.
"Well," Janus hesitated, "at least now you won't need the antihistamines anymore, right?" he tried for humor, and Patton's lips broke into a genuine smile and he laughed weakly through his nose.
"Right..." His smile slowly turned into a solemn expression and he sighed. "What if..." he bit his lower lip, "what if I could've stopped it?"
"Patton, no. It is not your fault."
"No, I know... The vet said it would've happened anyway... But what if I wasn't perceptive enough? Maybe if I'd noticed something's wrong sooner they could've saved her..." Tears began to accumulate in Patton's eyes.
"Sweetie, listen to me." Janus took both of Patton's hands in his and looked straight into his eyes. "It is not your fault. You were an amazing owner. You loved her so much and gave her everything she could've ever dreamed of."
"But I-"
"Shh shh shh, no buts," Janus used his thumb to gently wipe a stray tear off Patton's cheek, beneath his glasses. "I've known you since before you adopted her. I've seen how you took care of her with everything you have. Spending nights treating her when she was sick, doing everything in your power every day to make her take the medicine you knew she hated but made her feel better, staying awake late to pet her just because she didn't want to go to sleep and you couldn't bare to say no to her. Darling, trust me when I say, she was the luckiest cat in the world to have you as her owner."
Patton started sobbing again, furiously wiping his tears with his fingers, dirtying his wet glasses even more. Janus clicked his tongue. "Come here," he said as he pulled Patton to his embrace once again, placing a kiss on the crown of his head. "It's ok to grieve," he whispered, rocking them back and forth, "but don't beat yourself up about things out of your control." Patton sniffed, nodding weakly. Janus waited a bit before saying, "Let's bring you some water, ok honey?" Patton nodded again and pulled back. "I'll be right back." Janus said and petted Patton's cheek gently. He stood up and walked to the kitchen to get Patton a glass of water.
In the kitchen, Janus noticed a bowl of dry cat food in the corner. He debated getting rid of it and sparing Patton the pain, but decided against it. He'll ask Patton if he needs help with it, but he might want to do it himself to get some closure.
Janus returned to the living room with a glass of water in his hand. Patton looked up at him as he approached and small smile spread on his face. Janus' chest filled with warmth. He'll do anything for this man, he just wants him to be happy.
"Thank you," Patton said and reached his hand to grab the glass.
"You're welcome, honey," Janus replied as he took his place on the sofa.
They were silent for a moment as Patton drank. "You know," he said, lowering the glass to his lap and holding it with both hands. "I keep thinking about how naïve I was when I adopted her."
"Naïve? How so?"
"I thought it was funny, giving a cat a number as a name. You know, Nine, as in nine lives?" Janus looked at Patton, concern apparent on his forehead. Patton was looking down to his glass in his lap. "Of course there were other reasons too. It was September 2009 when I got her. The ninth month of the ninth year of the milenium. It was so fitting! Of course I couldn't give up the opportunity to give her a name that's a play on words!" Janus frowned and rubbed Patton's knee. "But cats don't really have nine lives, do they? Not even a cat named Nine..." He sighed.
Janus looked at him in silence. It was good that Patton was talking. Janus has spent years trying to make Patton to open up to him. He was always hiding behind jokes and a huge smile. He needed a safe platform to be able to unload everything weighing down on his chest. Janus was always happy to provide him that safe space, and the fact that Patton trusted him enough by now to open up to him was a bit overwhelming, in a good way. But it wasn't about Janus right now, it's about Patton and his pain. Janus knew Patton so well by now, that he didn't need to check to know that if he stayed silent, Patton would open up even more and unload more of his negative feelings, and Janus would be there for him when he does.
Surely enough, after a few moments of silence, Patton let out a breathy laugh, devoid of humor. "I keep thinking she's gonna come out from around the corner like everything's normal... You'd think dying is a one time thing. She died, that's it. It happened. Now we're after it. But it's not..." Patton emptied his glass and placed it on the table. "It's still happening. She didn't just die... She's dead. And she keeps being dead, all the time, over and over again. Every time I look to the hallway and expect her to walk out with her tail wiggling high, she's dead again. Every time I think of her... She's dead. Again. She's really... not coming back... She's staying dead." Patton played with the sleeve of the hoodie that was always tied around his shoulders. "Look at me," he chuckled, "I'm even wearing a cat hoodie. I'm pathetic..." He sighed.
"Patton honey," Janus wrapped his arms over Patton's shoulders and pulled him to rest against his chest, maneuvering himself to a more comfortable position, leaning back on the sofa. "You're not pathetic. Ok?" He stroked Patton's hair with his hand. "Those things take time. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you it'll all be gone one day and you won't feel anything. That's never going to happen." Patton pouted in response. "But it won't be as painful. It won't be an open wound anymore. It will scar." Patton's eyes widened and he looked up to Janus, letting his eyes rest on the scar tissue on the man's left cheek. "A scar is... a reminder of what once was. It's unpleasant to look at, and it's scruffy to touch, and remembering what left the scar is... painful, to say the least." Patton's brows furrowed in a frown. Janus smiled warmly at him. "But it doesn't hurt by itself anymore. You can live your life and not even remember it's there most of the time. At first it hurts and itches and every move you make has to be calculated because the wound is bleeding and everything hurts. But with a scar you don't have to do that anymore. You're going to be ok." Patton sighed and rested his cheek on Janus' chest. "And you know, I thought about what you said." Patton raised his eyebrows and hummed in question. "You weren't naïve. You were being funny, and witty, and wonderful, like you always are." Patton's cheeks warmed in a blush. "I know it might take a while, but I can already see you in a few months with your two new kitties, Seven and Five." Patton giggled and Janus smiled, kissing his hair.
It wasn't perfect. In fact, it was extremely painful, and the grieving process has just begun. But maybe Janus was right. It had a nice ring to it, Seven and Five. Nine's little siblings. Of course, she'll never know them, but it's nice imagining how his first cat's name becomes a legacy in all of his future cats. Patton sighed. It's not going to be easy. But with Janus by his side, maybe, just maybe, he can do it. He will be ok.

Hey, I'm back with more Family Dungeon comments. Okay, so last weekend, we did our first ever dungeon ever--Elden Hollow 1--and it was so easy that we did Elder Hollow 2 right after. And that was easy too. Then we did Fungal Grotto 1 (in under 10 minutes, cause we're doing things on normal, not vet), and THAT was simple too, so we blazed right into Fungal Grotto 2, died a lot to one of the bosses in the middle, realized we'd have to actually Strategize, and then we finished that one, too.
We rode that high for a week and this weekend, on saturday, we were like "let's actually do the undaunted pledges of the day," except it was Crypt of Hearts 2, Fungal Grotto 2, and Unhallowed Grave. We didnt want to do FG2 again, and we figured CoH2 was similarly annoying, and we knew NOTHING about Unhallowed Grave, so off we went.
It was super fun and we had to figure out weird ways to get around certain problems (at one point during the keeper of the kiln fight, I was up on a ledge throwing daggers at her because I was too afraid to go down on the floor and res my mom and sister). We died a bunch, but we did it! We beat all the bosses (minus voria and her crew of semi-hidden bosses)
So, sunday. I respec'd from pure dual weild dps to a staff-using healer, and things started going much smoother. The pledges were City of Ash 1, Spindleclutch 1, and Stone Garden. After Saturday's debacle with things being harder than expected, we thought the daily pledges were chosen to be groups of similar difficulty dungeons per day. CoA1 was laughably easy, SpCl1 was super fun and simple, and off we jaunt to Stone Garden, unsuspecting.
We spent an hour on the middle boss--the stone colossus--and then bailed out because we kept dying without getting it under 50% health. Absolutely terrible, much harder than expected, and we couldnt adapt, even with a mid 300cp stam-plar tank, a mid 500cp self-healing dragonknight tank, and a mid 500cp nightblade healer.
We were well and truly daunted.
We needed an easy win, so we did Wayrest Sewers 1, killed the enemies by barely having to look at them, and then did Wayrest Sewers 2 with similar ease.
So, I guess my question is: Have you beaten Stone Garden, and if so, How? I can provide exact specs for my teammates and their respective gear, but you're not going to like it lol (we have a literal bow/bow templar who mains the grace of gloom set, it's...unconventional)
i do appreciate the stories :D theyre fun to read, honestly seeing others have fun getting into group content is really nice to see. also i’ve done every dungeon on vet and their respective hardmodes lol.
stone garden as a whole is one of the harder dungeons with not exactly forgiving mechanics (i mostly associate it with being the hardest hardmode ive ever tanked and every time i bring it up with people who have done it with me, we cry a little) a lot of dlc dungeons are going to require people be fully specced out as their respective role according to “the meta” rather than as hybrid roles. in general eso is not super forgiving to hybrids, as you cannot fully dedicate yourself to either role if youre playing a hybrid because of limitations of skill, attribute, and champion point allocation. which is to say, going off your descriptions, a stamplar tank isn’t technically a thing in “the meta” (a tankY stamplar can be a thing, and a templar tank can be a thing, but a damage dealing tank is two roles put into one, and is gonna be less effective at both roles than someone dedicated to only one), and a self healing dk tank is overly descriptive bc a tank needs to be able to partly heal themselves with their own class abilities (as in not resto staves. tanks have to put up a fight themselves to stay alive on their own. unless self healing dk tank means something different than what i am assuming...). a tank is the implied person who is doing taunts (either puncture from sword and shield, or inner fire from Undaunted, or the destructive reach with an ice staff. all other methods of taunting are not real taunts) and you only need one tank to do taunts in dungeons. the person(s) doing damage is allowed to and encouraged to be a bit squishier, because if the tank is taunting the boss and the healer is healing them, they shouldnt have to worry as much about staying alive. a healer invests in magicka and mag recovery, a tank invests in health.
the worst part about that particular fight would be the stone husks on the left side of the room with the aoes that follow someone and drain their resources. what you ideally do is hold the main boss next to the middle stone husk, and as soon as any stone husk activates, pull the boss closer to that husk and focus down the husk. you can catch the main boss in your aoes/cleave damage while getting down the threat quick. your healer keeps you alive with all the fire lightning and ice, you get out of the big fire aoe, you try to keep the resource draining aoe away from you, and you take the fight slow enough to only have one stone husk up at a time. I will say that the fight with arkasis is also kinda rough and i’d probably recommend watching a guide video for that just to get a sneak peak if youre worried. though if you dont want spoilers, you can totally go in guns blazing.
i cant fully give advice without knowing whats killing you in particular, but my general advice is to go a bit more all out in your respective role, though i know i have a slight case of meta-brainrot that makes me forget 1) how easy normal stuff is compared to vet and that they dont really require the same amount of investment to simply Complete compared to vet, and 2) where a lot of people are starting from when they first get into group content and how far i’ve come myself. in general, the standard dungeon team is a tank, a healer, and two damage dealers, and each person invests strongly in their one role rather than 4 people all trying to do every role. there’s Tons of guides out there for each respective class/role combo, and even if they dont really suit your fancy or you cant get those skills right away, they can give you an idea of where to start. i usually just go with googling “*class* *role* eso guide” and just checking several guides for an idea of what common skills they all share.
i do wish you the best gamer!

If you’ve been following us on twitter, you’ll know that this month we’ve started themed fic recs. The first week was fluff week, where we hilighted a different fluffy fic each day.
For the sake of brevity, and to reduce spamming your TL today, we will be compiling the fics of the week into one post.
Sunday: First on the list is: “The ‘Infomercial’ series” (rated T) @eleanor-we ites-stuff I loved “Call Now For A Free Trial!” (friends-with-benefits figuring out how to evolve their relationship)
Why do we recommend it? from the first time I read it because it’s sweetness and fluff and family poking around as Ben and Rey find their way. I was beyond excited when Eleanor revisited this ‘verse with two(!!) more follow-ups! TW: for pregnancy in the third story in the series
Monday: a rec from multiple house members, is: “Purl Two Together” (rated M) by @lachesisgrimm It has the tag ‘knitting terms used as sexual euphemisms’ which is a solid recommendation on its own, but here’s a bit more: it's soft and tender and just as warm and comforting as the things knit from the yarn sold at Ben’s yarn shop; reading it is such a calming experience - you'll fall in love with this Ben and Rey. Pregnancy TW in the epilogue, and it's mentioned in general a few times.
Not convinced yet? May we present an excerpt from chapter one to demonstrate how much you need soft, delicate sock knitting Ben Solo in your life:
“Out of curiosity,” she said after a moment, cautious, “Are we having dinner because you’re desperate for new students, or-” She faltered, and finally- regrettably- said the first thing that came to mind. “Or are you interested in my purl… stitch.”
His mouth twitched as she blushed furiously. “Purling,” he said clearly, humor evident in his voice. “Purling two together, even.”
“And you’re not currently purling with anyone else?” she asked, needing to know the answer.
Like we said - soft. So check it out, crafting knowledge not needed to enjoy this beautiful story, so don't let that put you off.
Tuesday: “No Snow" by @leofgyth (rated M) with original song lyrics by @lovethemfiercely
Are you ready? We're gonna be spending some time deep within the Plaidam season with Christmas Fluff!
Why do we think you should be reading it? It's a gender-swapped White Christmas au with Reylo and Finnrose and Monty Python inspired comedy (along with plenty of nods to our favorite parts of the classic musical, of course) and reading it made me grin from ear to ear.
Wednesday: "Scenes From A Sweeter Place" series (rated G) by @pulltothelight It's got the tags you're looking for, like: Established Relationship, Domestic Fluff, Sledding, and Cute!
Why do we love it? A pair of fluffy glimpses into an established relationship Reylo. (literal fluff, courtesy of an exploded Twinkie in the case of the summer story 😁) A perfect little pick me up when you just want happy Reylo.
Thursday: “Lost & Found" by @commandercrouton (rated T). TW for pregnancy in the final chapter.
Why do we love it? Its got fluff (a given for the week), its got snark, its got Ben as an author, but most importantly Kylo is a cat, a matchmaker bringing his parents together in this tooth rottenly sweet story.
Friday: “Dog Days of Summer” by @nancylovesreylo (rated T) based on an incredible piece of fan art by @hotside involving a man, a dog and his cereal in the comfort of his own home.
Why should you read it? Rey is a vet student who runs a business walking dogs, but there’s a mix up with her new client and sees quite a bit of skin instead of fur😏There’s an instant connection, Ben wears glasses, and it’s impossible to make it through this fic without grinning.
Saturday: “Pinball Wizard” by @shortystylee (rated T) a delightful romp between two people brought together over pinball.
Why should you read it? Come on. Pinball meet-cute. What more do you need? But! Rey is a med student (ob/gyn) Ben is in linguistics and both find solace in Maz’s arcade. They meet after Rey begins beating Ben’s scores. It short and as sweet as the gelato Rey eats.

Backstory Part 2: Kittens!!
So we settled into a bit of a routine, but I was on constant kitten watch. It really seemed like Lolly could pop any day. She was eating a ton, almost a whole can of wet food every 1-2 hours. But she had just gone through a lot and was massively pregnant so I didn't feel like telling her no and just kept feeding her. Everything that wasn't belly was on the skinny side, but she filled out nicely in a couple weeks.
Making her nesting box:
She was stuck to me like glue. She didn't like me going into the bathroom without her, but then would lay in front of the door, trapping me in because I'm not pushing a pregnant cat jeez. She took advantage of this often:
I didn't take her to the vet right away because I was worried about stressing her out. I didn't know how she'd react to getting back in a car so soon after being dumped, and I wanted to build trust first. Her health seemed fine, she was playful and sassy, and suuuuper cuddly. She was eating and drinking, all that jazz. The kittens were kicking inside her. I started taking time off work because she looked young to me, and I figured this was probably her first litter, and I didn't want her to give birth alone in case something went wrong. Also my workplace was super toxic, and I'd rather be at home with her than in that shit show. Which brings us to...
Kitten time!
So I had taken most of the week off, it was the last day of my work week technically, and boyfriend was at work. She was still eating me out of house and home, but instead of every hour it was maybe every 3 hours. I was watching closely. She suddenly started avoiding soft surfaces. I had put towels in her nesting box, nestled under the counter in a corner of the bathroom, but she didn't seem to like it anymore. I really didn't want her to give birth on our carpet though, because I hadn't told my apartment complex about her and therefore hadn't paid a pet deposit for things like this. I actually still haven't told them, but we're probably moving next summer if we can anyway. So screw it. But we're not getting our deposit back anyway, I can tell you that much...
Anyhoo, so this was us throughout the day:
This last pic was us loafing in bed together, we were both working some stuff out. And then about an hour later she walks into the bathroom and starts yowling. I follow, but she won't get in the box. She sprawls out on my rug and then suddenly there's a kitten 😳
At 4am October 18th we have kittens. The first three came pretty quickly. But she was tired and I knew there's more in there. She took about an hour break, I sit and play my Switch and watch them. RIP that rug.
She eventually gets back to it, there was a little trouble with the fifth one because it came out backwards and she was really tired. I had to help her get the sac off that one. She also seemed overwhelmed like she didn't know which one to lick and focus on, we were both frazzled. Not gonna lie guys, I was feeling some type of way, I was teary-eyed, but we got through it. A total of six kittens. That fifth one scared me because it was more still than the others and didn't start nursing immediately, but I kept checking that it was breathing and eventually it dug in there with the others.
She slept for a while and the next day I convinced her to let me get them set up in the corner I had originally set aside for her, with towels and another old rug because she really hated that box still.
And I was looking at this situation now because I'm about to have 7 cats in my tiny apartment. Next shopping trip I loaded up on allergy pills.

Hi, my roommates and I are looking into getting a cat, but we're both VERY low income. Apart from adoption fees (which include vaccines), food, and litter, what other expenses might we have? Do we need to take the cat for regular check ups? How often/how much do they cost? We want a cat really badly but we don't want it to suffer because we can't afford to take care of it properly.
In terms of regular expenses to consider, cat litter and food are the only ones you’ll really have to deal with. Amazon has lots of different cat food and litter options that are inexpensive if you buy in bulk. I usually buy 1 20 pound bag of cat litter every month and 1 14 pound bag of cat food every two months, and I have two cats. Dry food is less expensive than wet.
In terms of taking your cats in for checkups, those are entirely up to your discretion. I grew up in a house where my parents never ever took our cats in for checkups, and the two cats I grew up with both lived to be 21. I only take my cats in to see the vet if they’re visibly ill, but some people do bring their pets in for annual check ups. Not gonna lie, seeing any vet is $$, usually $100 just to get in the door and $100 to get tests done. Pet insurance is BS, @bitchesgetriches has a great article on why it’s not worth it which I’ve linked down bellow. I would recommend setting up an account with your local vet with your pet’s info on file, in the event of an emergency.
But all in all, cats are not super expensive to care for. They just need lots of love and affection, people who think that cats are low maintainance are crazy. Cats need just as much love as dogs do and will act out if they don’t feel like they’re getting their due. I would recommend investing in some cat beds or cat furniture so that your cat can have his or her own space. Good luck!!

Chapter 4: my universe is made of you.
After the dinner date we had, we fell asleep shortly after we both say our i love you's. We slept with a smile on our face and in the morning, we woke up with a frown in our face because of stelle's agressive purring. She grumpily climbed up to the bed and threatened us by sitting on our face. We don't want a cat fur in our mouths so we stood up. Well, she did. I just put my face in the pillow more while facing stelle's back.
She kissed my hair meaning it's a good morning and that she'll stand up now. "I don't think i'd make you breakfast.." I said to her, muffling the sound lightly. "Okay, I'm gonna starve then." "Make yourself a breakfast, woman." I internally rolled my eyes.
I hear her faint footsteps on the floor and then, i doze off again. But shortly after i wake myself up because it's Friday. I stood up and went to the bathroom to pee and brush my teeth. The first thing i saw after exiting the bathroom in the bedroom was my girl eating ramen while watching we bare bears. She looks so, i can't even describe it. She looks like a child. The one i first saw in elementary school. The one whose wearing a nerdy glasses even though she doesn't need it before. That kind of look.
"You're a literal child, babe." I jokingly said while walking to the fridge to get some milk. "If this ramen isn't hot, i would go close to you and probably hit you." She furiously replied back. "Ah, you have a new kink now?" Ha, im proud of myself for that comeback. She doesn't say anything. Probably because my comeback was so good she's speechless.
I grabbed a bowl and poured some cereal and milk before sitting on the dinner table's chair. "Hey, why aren't you beside me?. You haven't kissed me good morning yet." She said in annoyed voice. "Okay madame, im coming." "Didn't you already-" "It's morning for fuck's sake please stop." Yep, i regretted that sentence when it came out of my mouth.
I stood up and went to the couch where she was sitting. I sit closely next to her, so close that i could touch her thighs beside my thighs. I put down my food and hugged her. She cuddled back sidely then i kissed her cheeks. And grabbed my bowl to eat.
"Why are we watching cartoons?" I say after having three spoons of cereal on my mouth. "Don't talk when your mouth is full. And it's not cartoons bitch we watch this everyday!" She defensively answered."Okay okay, don't be mad miss." I chuckled lightly
After some moments passed by, she spoke and said "Oh baby by the way, we have to bring the cat to the vet to check if there's a microchip and probably look for signs if anyone's missing a white cat." "I have work.." "Oh, I'll take her." "I'll drop you off then." "Sounds good."
She then stood up to put her bowl to the sink. She grabbed mine too. I looked at her doing the dishes. I don't know why i find everything she does, attractive but it is. She catched me looking at her with love eyes. I kind of smiled because she smiled showing off her little dimple that only shows up when she's shy. "Why you lookin' at me like that?" "Dunno, im just so in love." "Stoop, im gonna throw these bowl at you." "Okay but im just telling the truth." I then faced the tv to turn it off and played coldplay's new album in my phone.
"We're allowed to feed the cat, yeah?" I asked her because the cat looked at me when i accidentally made eye contact with it. She hummed in response so i picked up stelle 's bowl and the extra ones she has to fill it with cat food. After filling the bowls, i went and placed it on the floor for stelle and placed the other one to the crate for the white cat. I watch them both eat while my girlfriend showers, i went to the bedroom to fix the bed and pack stuffs i have to take to work.
I only go to the office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I prepared my work fit and so is my girlfriend's fit. I picked her a black tee and a blue faded jeans. Shortly after, she stepped out of the bathroom.
"I prepared our fits. Don't hate my taste." I said to her while grabbing my towel to go inside the bathroom. "As long as you didn't picked out a pastel colored shirt, i won't." "As if we both own anything pastel." "True." She kissed my lip as we exchanged ways.I started to take a bath and do whatever shit you do in the bathroom.
Moments after, we're both dressed and we're ready to go. "Are you gonna bring stelle?" I asked her when i saw her picking up the cat bag. "Yeah, don't want her to feel lonely."
We both stepped outside the flat, while she locks the door. I carried the cats to the car and waited for her so i can open the door for her. "Thank you, darlin'". After i opened the door for her, i went inside the car as well and drove her to the vet.
The car ride was okay, comfortable silence and occasional small talks with music filling the whole car. And her rough hands holding my other arm. The cats in the back inside the cat bag. They looked squished but they don't fight so it's okay, i think. We arrived at the vet and before she could go out she said , "Call me when you're at the office so i would know if you're still alive." "Yeah yeah,i always do. And update me how the vet went, mkay?" She moved closely to my face and said "Mhm" and kissed me. She slightly bit my lip. "Stop teasing and shit, go inside. Be safe okay." "Yes, ma'am. Be safe too." "I love you. " "I love you, bye." I waited for them to go inside the vet and drove away when i saw her talking to the receptionist.
After hours and hours of working on the office, and some phone calls with her saying the cat doesn't have an owner and the veterinarian said she's most probably a stray. And my girl probably jumping when she told me the news and deciding what to name our new cat. Stelle's gonna have someone to accompany when we're not around. Wow. After the phone call and works i did, i went to a pet shop to buy the cat a new collar and some foods and went home after.
Before i could even place the key to the door, my baby opened the door and jumped on me. She squeaked a little, sounding like a creaked door. Saying 'My favorite bitch's home!' repeatedly while jumping us both up na down on the doorstep. I placed her slightly and made both of us go inside. "You're so happy right now, huh?" I asked her while sitting down to the couch. She then sat on my lap, and me fake groaning that she's heavy but she really isn't. "We have a new baby and i have a surprise for you." She then said while smiling and nuzzling my chest, like a little horse."Oh wow, yesterday wasn't really the end hm?" "Nope, i was tired way too quickly because of how comfortable you were on the seaside." "I like your surprises. But first we gotta have a proper welcoming to the baby." So then she stood up and took the cats. I snapped a picture before she put the cats beside us.
"Hi babies." I greeted with a soft voice. I petted stelle's head and scratched her chin slightly. My girlfriend sat beside the cats, making them in the center and then she picked up the white cat and said. "Hi baby, we named you Milky. Like the milky way." I grabbed stelle and placed her on my lap and i scoot closely to her and placed my head on her shoulder.
After welcoming milky properly, i changed into my comfortable clothes and started to prepare dinner. I cooked pasta and grilled cheese toast. We both ate and it's only 8 pm, i feel like her surprise involves going out again so i didn't turn on the tv after eating ad cleaning up.
We both sat on the small chairs in the window and cuddles each other. This is nice. I won't get tired of this. Everyday cuddles and kisses from her? Yeah, i would get tired and sick of this. "We should be ready by now if you still want my surprise, baby." She whispered in my neck "Tell me then." I said while playing with her tangled hair. "Let's get up and get dressed first, then i will tell you." "Ah, we're gonna go out on the first day we have milky." "I can't move the schedule baby, we have to or if you don't want then i'll come alone." "No. You ain't coming alone anywhere." "Get your ass up then. Don't make me carry you. I was so nervous when i carried you when we were in the rooftop." I chuckled at that, i literally feel like im so heavy but she carried me like im a fucking paper so.
We stood up and went to the bedroom to choose some outfit. "What should we wear?" I asked "The best fit you could find in your closet." "You'd wear your best too, right?" "Mhm." I already know what is the best fit in my closet. It's this boot cut black pants and a crop top with some strings that goes in the back and the belly and a black sweater. I will top this off with a ankle black boots. You could never go wrong with black. While i get ready in the bathroom, she get ready in the room so we haven't really seen each other yet. I put on some gray eyeshadow, red lipstick, eyeliner and curled my eyelashes.
"Babe, im done." I shouted from the bathroom. "Hang on i can't do the other side of the eyeliner." She replied with a small voice with a pinch of annoyed tone. "Lemme help." "No you'll see my outfit." "Well, we both would." "Just a second babes." "WAIT oh shit we should go. We're late.Just help me now." So then i stepped out the bathroom and saw her frowning her eyebrows in a black slip dress in a black stockings and a black boot and she's wearing a gold eyeshadow and a matte red lipstick.
I helped her do the left eyeliner and we're both hurrying after that. She hurriedly grabbed the car keys are kissed the cats goodbye while grabbing my hands to the doorstep. "We literally should have left earlier than this, fuck." She said while opening the car door for me. When she was inside the car i asked her where we're going and she just smiled while kissing my left hand. Her lipstick formed a kiss mark on my pale hand.
We're in the middle of the road when she said 'Do you wanna know the surprise now?'. "Fucking finally you asked that question." "You're gonna lose your shit over this, don't be mad. You probably should be kissing my foot right now but you would want to, after I tell you this." "Tell me whaaat?" "That.. we're.." "Say it! We're what?" "Weregoingtothecoldplayconcertrightnowandwereinvipsectionbecauseiknowsomeone." And that's where I almost lose my shit and kiss her so hard but I didn't do it because it probably would kill us. "WE'RE GOING TO A COLDPLAY WHAT" I screamed while i saw her lips forming to a small smile. "oh my god baby if i could kiss you so very hard right now i would but we'd probably die, oh my god" "Ha! Told you you'd want to worship the ground i walk on." "As if i don't want that everyday, baby." She laughed. "We're almost there, you'd be able to kiss me hard now."
When we arrived at the venue, and parked the car to the parking lot. I hurriedly went out of the car and run to her driver seat and opened the door and didn't even let her out and kissed her very very hard. She kissed me back and put her hands on my hair. I pulled out from the kiss and stare at her.
"You're making me live in my fantasy." I say to her after stepping out of the car to walk inside. "You deserve it, and you always talked about wanting to go to their concert ever since you liked them so.." "You are the best surprise you know that?." "Stop, you're gonna make me blush." "Blush looks better in you, I like the natural red." She hit me playfully and i waled with my head on her shoulder.
We went inside and it's literally no hassle or anything because she knows someone and when we reached the spot, we were given a vodka and lemonade. And also the glowy thingy on the wrist.
As the band started playing Higher Power, my adrenaline started powering up as well. I feel like my girlfriend is looking at me while smiling so i looked over my shoulders and see her sipping on the lemonade while staring at me intensely. "Thank you so much " I say to her and kissed her nose. "You're welcome baby."
The track songs goes by from songs on 'Parachutes' to 'X&Y' and every other albums. We both sideway-ly slowed dance to Yellow.
Then after songs and songs, People of The Pride started playing. I'm now a little tipsy because of the vodka and my girl isn't because she literally just drinks the lemonade and i drank both of us' vodkas. I screamed and jumped when i heard the intro of the people of the pride. We both scream sing the lyrics to each other until the chorus. We slowly move our hips in the same beat and it's like everyone else around us is jumping and we aren't because the only thing that's jumping right now is my heart. I leaned on my lips to hers and so does she. Then our hands find it's way from hers once more as we intensively make out with each other during our favorite song in the album.
After the instrumental of the outro we both smiled sheepishly to each other's faces and then i layed my head to her again because my visions are getting kind of blurry because of the alcohol but im having the best time of my life.
When My Universe started playing she's the one whose overhyped now. She loves this song. Whenever this song is played wherever, she sings this to me. When the chorus part came on she looked at me and sang 'You, You are my universe and I, just want to put you first.' I softly smiled and blushed and sang the next chorus back to her as well. We swayed our hands in the air and one of my arms are around her shoulder.
Then after the songs that passed by, the last track was on. It's coloratura. It's also my favorite. It's the first one that i like in music of the spheres. My favorite right now is People of The Pride because it's my dream to do something intimate but not really with her while it's playing in the background, live. Coloratura's lyrics are the ones that is really close to my mind and my heart. I feel like im talking as a writer but, im talking as a lover. The band started playing the song and we wave our hands to the air. She then said 'Lets take a picture, we'll remember this for the rest of our time.' so then we did. It's a happy picture. A happy memory that i will now keep on my wallet when i print it.
When it was time to go home i still have a smile plastered on my face and her hands are still in mine. "I would drive us home if i could in a way of thanking you but im tipsy so i can't and we might die." I say to her truthfully. "It's fine baby, just sleep on the way home. It's my surprise, not yours. And you don't have to surprise me back. Milky was my surprise so." "Mkay, i love you. Thank you for one of the best nights in my life. I'm happy i get to spend it with the best surprise too." She kissed me instead of replying and made me sleep on the way home.
As i always end everyday, i hope forever would be like this. I'd be greatful for everything as long as I have her on my side and every side. I slept on the car amd woke up when i sensed were almost home. I slept with my hands placed on her right hand and woke up with our hands still tangled with each other.
You, you are my universe, my love.
