Just finished the last Sex Education. Kinda want to look in the tags, kinda don’t if it’s just going to be people moaning about it
#not anyone’s fault people can moan if they like#but just… with the last series it did my head in a bit#with everyone going on about ‘they ruined my ship!!!’#and it’s like… this isn’t the kind of show that guarantees a fairytale romance ending it’s just not#it’s about exploring sex and relationships in all their messiness and complications#that means people are going to hurt each other and mess each other about#and break up without anyone necessarily having to be the Bad Guy#and just going ‘but my ship this is bad because it didn’t cater to my ship!!’ is just… really annoyingly reductive#read fanfiction if that’s what you want - it’s not the show’s job#watch Heartstopper if you want something more wish fulfilling and happy-ending focused#(wish fulfilling isn’t a criticism by the way we deserve some wish fulfilment too)#but just… not everything has to be like that#sex education#sex ed netflix
