why is big man vulnerable and scared

listen his entire species has been wiped out except for a small handful of soldiers that HE leads. his planet was destroyed on HIS watch. and now HE is in charge of making sure the last remaining autobots don't die and their new home planet (earth) isn't also destroyed. the movies don't ever ever ever ever let him be anything other than He-Man Badass but I knowwwww that he's so so so so scared of losing his only remaining family I Know it. when the humans and lockdown were hunting down the last remaining autobots one by one prime was a MESS. bro was Helpless to save his family (who put their TRUST in him!!! they could have eked out lives for themselves scattered around the galaxy but they chose to come to earth for OPTIMUS. because they TRUST HIM TO KEEP THEM SAFE. AND THEYRE DYING FOR IT.) and optimus, the KING of gritted teeth bloodied knuckles optimism, lost his hope and faith in humanity. and never really got it back. I loved rise of the beasts (newest movie) because the Human Character was a big brother trying to protect his family and there was a convo between Human Character and another character where she compared him to optimus ("you're both just big brothers trying to keep your family safe") and OOOUGJGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUGHHHHHHHHHHJJHHHH
