Hey guys! I wouldn't post here if I wasn't desperate, as I know you guys must be flooded (as per usual), but I really need some help finding a fic. It's a both winter soldier au, and I remember them being 'rescued' by SHIELD, and they were kept in two seperate rooms, with a glass wall in between them, and they'd press their hands to the glass to keep up 'contact'. I also remember them being unable to take solid foods, Steve especially. The Avengers try to help out too. (long one sorry!)

In that moment, when he sees all the scars the world has left on the other man, Steve’s ready to leave behind everything he’s ever fought to preserve. To abandon this crazy world that’s doing nothing but racing towards its own annihilation with every passing day. He’s ready to throw the shield away, take off the mask and be simply Steve and Bucky.

If Bucky had said yes, Steve would have followed him to the end of the world and never looked back.
