Personally as someone who also has a hard time deciphering people's "emotional morse code", I really liked that after that Tyler just said his feelings or whatever was on his mind no matter if it was valid or immature or not because he knew Wednesday would prefer to have the confrontation then the passive aggressive bullshit. Ive always appreciated emotional honesty over trying to not cus a strife, and I love that after that talk he never makes Wednesday decipher his thoughts he just says them, a brave and compassionate act people constantly look over but can't even commit themselves half the time out of fear of vulnerability and rejection.

i think dinostar is such an interesting ship right now even if i've kind of turned away from it after this season. the problem is that it's complicated, and fandoms historically don't like nuanced situations or takes. i don't think it's fair to say darius is putting brooklynn on a pedestal, since from his perspective, she hasn't done anything wrong, and kenji has been framed as this unfair partner to her. it does feel like his feelings are very immature and more of an infatuation right now ("if he loved you half as much.."/"unless?"), especially when you compare them to kenji's own feelings for brooklynn - his girlfriend who he's loved for 6 years - but that isn't a horrible thing, it's just different. i do completely understand if people dislike the ship right now, and even criticize darius' way of handling the accidental confession, but i just think people have been way too harsh on all three of them without being willing to see that all of their perspectives are different

Does this imply that Kim Dokja also tried to write a questionnaire for her to fill in since she wouldn’t speak to him, that either he 1) never gave her in the end (especially if he couldn’t find her after she was released) or 2) gave it to her and she STILL refused to answer?

Because that is so so so so awful. It was already bad but if he tried so many ways to get her to speak and she still gave him no response, regardless of her reasoning… isn’t that still directly choosing to cut herself fully out of his life? Why in the hell did she lie for his sake and allow him to visit her if she wanted to never speak to him again?

I know everyone claims Kim Dokja is just like her in sacrificing himself for loved ones, but at least he tries his best to stay with them and to keep them in his life. He still chooses sacrifice, but it’s not because he intends to never return. He always returns (even if much later than planned).

The only time this differs is with 51%, when he STILL tried his best to stay with them - at least as much as he could.

I sometimes like Lee Sookyung, but I am mostly still SO mad at her for completely ignoring her child since he was 8 years old. Especially when he must have looked like shit any number of times from being mistreated and bullied by family, friends, army, employers.

But maybe that’s just the fragment in me being eternally pissed with her. it is beyond infuriating how anne rice seems to insist on marius being a positive force in anyone's life ever. like she can't fully commit to exploring the fact he groomed armand and has repeatedly taken away his consent for what marius thinks is best (take the end of TVA as an example) and just kind of flatly puts it in the narrative. there's not really much interest in how these horrific events make marius come across as the worst because EVERYONE loves him. for gods sake, lestat learns from armand exactly what marius did to him in TVL and then proceeds to go find marius and be super friendly to him in the same fucking book. even armand and pandora, two of the people who have MORE than enough right to hate him, do not. it doesnt feel like shes trying to explore the toxicity of the abusive dynamic he traps them in, it just is there. and like yeah ofc the toxic vampire romance series but i think that this should be handled with more care. and it is not ever really framed in a way that she is interested in exploring how marius should easily be one of the most horrific characters in this series because it kind of feels like sa/rape/grooming/other things of that sort are just put there to further plot and not to really get the respect that they deserve in a medium.

As much as I truly enjoy the ways the ygo anime developed and added to Mana's character, I can't help but be left with such a bittersweet pang when I think of her.

Her bond and devotion with Atem and Mahaad were all she had left after the events that led them to their places of rest. The millennium ring that she inherited from her beloved teacher Mahaad was now tainted by not only the bitter pain of his absence but also the hand of darkness. Did it change her? Or was that just the influence of time and the loneliness of losing both her closest friend and her mentor?

It must have been difficult to see Atem's name be scrubbed from existence for her. She knew him intimately, considering the nature of their circumstances. Perhaps her love for her friend was enough to surpass lifetimes; enough to wait thousands of years to reunite with her best friend and her mentor. We never saw Mana make the same open declaration to serve Atem for eternity as Mahaad did, but maybe she didn't have to. Maybe her devotion for them both was enough to be able to reunite with them when they needed her again.

knowing what we do about the finale, when alicent said "the significance of viserys' intentions died with him" to larys, he saw it for what it was. she was giving up and giving in to the fact that all of her conviction thus far was based on a misinterpretation. THIS is why he doesn't side with alicent at the small council. he needs to back someone who believes in their claim- who believes that the fighting and the death and the war so far is worth it. maybe it's a little bit because he killed his own father and brother. yes, it was to show his loyalty, his ferocity, and the lengths he will go for her and her cause, and to show her how dangerous he can be. but if she doesn't believe in her own cause anymore, then he became a kinslayer for nothing. and he can't have that.

so i tried to keep their general appearances/colors intact while adding some actual personality (because i think the main problem with the original designs is that they feel like extras, not side characters).

Red: Zabrak orphan who grew up on Tatooine. 18 years old, was a member of the local insurgent group around the end of the empire era. Has a combo blaster/interrogation droid arm. Speeder is a repurposed version of Maul's speeder from phantom menace.

Blue: Human raised in the non-Tatooine parts of the Outer Rim. 23 years old, known assassin who worked for Jabba. Uses a scavenged magnaguard-type electrostaff. Has basically a version of the mandalorian helmet visors built into his face. Speeder is an abandoned scout trooper speeder.

Yellow: Tusken orphan from the clans around the podrace area. 19 years old, became a bounty hunter after his tribe (and bantha) were killed by the Pikes to expand spice routes. Has a Vader-style chest panel and rocket feet. Speeder is a custom pod attached to one of Sebulba's engines, with attached rancor teeth and horns from his late bantha.

Green: Human who grew up on Coruscant, but family fled the Empire to Tatooine around A New Hope. 21 years old, originally worked as a local enforcer for various Hutts. Has super battle droid arm & leg attachments. Speeder is stolen from local nikto gang.
