btw maybe my favourite bit of dialogue in the whole of veilguard is a random couple of lines between emmrich and davrin. they’re talking about manfred and asaan getting up to mischief and davrin laughs and goes “what’ve we signed up for”

and emmrich in the most heartfelt tone in the world just replies “love, i think”

and just. yeah. that’s what it is. that’s what we sign up for.
