maybe arthur does deserve to win the worst father poll. trying to drown your infant son is pretty bad. and i could make excuses here— say oh he was young and reeling from the horrifying realization that he’d accidentally conceived a cursed incest baby. oh he was led astray by an evil sorcerer who he had come to have absolute faith in. heavy is the head they never wanted or prepared to wear the crown but now has to make decisions for a whole country and also is plagued by prophetic dreams telling him if he doesnt kill the incest baby then the whole country will be doomed. but those are excuses. the real reason i think you should cut him some slack is that in the end, arthur pendragon is the guy you see with his fat tits hanging out of a half unbuttoned hawaiian shirt, drinking alone at a margharitaville because all of the nephew-colleagues he invited on this trip went clubbing instead.
