Ok so, I can’t believe I missed this but, look.

I’ve always loved this moment in the song. The way she’s basically projecting herself onto a wall of roses 🌹 The way the wall changes color from pink 🌷 to blue 🪻as she sends a giant wave of flower petals throughout the room.

But did you catch that?

The way the room changes color. The way her projection of herself no longer appears to us as the delicate flower 🌺🌸, or pretty pink princess 👸🏾 her Abuela wants.

But a more bold and beautiful shade of purple and blue 💙💠💜 with a hint of yellowish-orange 💛🏵️🧡 and some green 🌴🌵 thrown in there too.

It’s foreshadowing people! The reclamation of her identity! Look at her, now!

Look at the way she is no longer dressed to reflect her Abuela’s influence or her need to please her, but takes a tip from Mirabel and is instead, dressed to reflect the rest of the family she loves so much.

There’s the *bright* violet blue color of the dress that reflects her parents and sisters. The yellows and bright oranges that symbolize joy and her Tia Pepa’s side of the family. Then, there’s the bright green color that symbolizes truth and her Tio Bruno, whose prophecy finally came true.

Now compare that to the way she used to dress! In pale blue, lavender and pink pastels.

The way she almost looks muted and repressed compared to the rest of her family’s far brighter color palettes 🎨

I also think it’s a call back to Sleeping Beauty, and Flora and Merry Weather’s iconic disagreement on whether to make Aurora’s dress pink or blue. Makes sense since Sleeping Beauty came out in the late 50s. The same time period that Encanto takes place in. I’m sure Isabela can relate.

It was a regular day for the trauma dipped kids as they were sitting in the living room of class 1-As dorm just chilling out with some watching a series on the TV, some writing down some notes in his new notebook while Todoroki was making some cold soba for lunch, uraraka watching TV with Hakeeguri, Sero,Tsu, Momo.

Uraraka was trying to catch Dekus attention, but was failing miserably😞 and Tsu and Momo could see it unfortunately it was no use when it comes to him and that notebook😔, he's just too concentrated, that was until you walked into the dorms with your fine self with natural makeup on wearing a yellow super low cut hoodie top along with a couple chains and some baggy black sweatpants and grey J4s.

Everyones attention shifted to you👀 and not that your sports bra was slightly peaking out of cropped hoodie,but that:

1)you were one of the new transfer student from America for the Support department that everyone has been talking about for the past 3 weeks.

2)You were black and you don't see that many black people in Japan in general.

3) Bakugou was walking towards you and gave you a hand shake meaning you knew each other on a personal level.

Everytime he catches himself staring at your black beauty✨ he has to manually scrub his face and push his jaw away to look at the ceiling or something cause baby girl you were fine😩👌. "Hey dumbass, you brought what I asked for or did you just what to show off the shoes I bought you?" Before you can lift your hands from his wrists he grabs your arm taking you by suprise and you look up at him to only find him staring right back at your amethyst eyes when you into his ruby ones and just like that he tries to let go yet he still wants to have you this close to him and he wants to be vulnerable with you since your the only other person who gets his apart from kirishima. He likes you more then he wants to but he doesn't want to experience the pain of a lose again nor does he want to lose the opportunity to make you his but doesn't want to destroy your amazing friendship, but then a sudden warmth surrounds his chest and abdomen.

Your hugging him seriously hugging him out of nowhere and then your face is buried in his chest and he huggs you back with his chin resting on top of your head where he inhales the shea butter and coconut oil from the chemicals put in it. He really wanted to confess but he pulled away quickly with him covering his blushing face but not his ears.

In which you giggled at his soft side that you were so grateful that you were able to see, but a continuous beeping sound that activated the bracelets meaning that it was working perfectly fine and that it has been switched on. So... um th-they work so I did my work perfectly as expected" you awarkardly try to regain your confidence again but failed with the maroon blush on your face as you tried to shuffle out of the room but a strong arm pulled you back to have you facing Bakugou with his eyes fixed on you.

The Goddess of what is now May Day goes back to ancient times, in Anatolia, Greece, and Rome. Spring goddesses came to be venerated at two Roman holiday festivals that led to our May Day. The Roman Empire is important here because it took over much of Europe and the British Isles. Its mythology, associated rituals, and holidays spread there and merged with local conditions, mythologies, holidays, and customs.

The first of these goddesses of spring holidays was the Hilaria festival (from Greek hilareia/hilaria (“rejoicing”) and Latin hilaris (“cheerful”), held between the vernal equinox and April 1. It goes back to when the Phrygian goddess Cybele was introduced to Rome, at the end of the 3rd century BCE. In her myth, she had a son-lover, Attis, a dying-and-rising god who was mortally gored by a boar. Cybele knew that he had not died for eternity but that his spirit simply had taken refuge in a tree for the winter, and that he would be reborn from the tree in the spring, on the vernal equinox. When Cybele was introduced in Rome, she was given her temple of Magna Mater on the Palatine hill and a also a holiday with corresponding rituals. In her festival, a pine tree (that of Attis) was cut and stripped of its branches, wrapped in linen like a mummy, and decorated with violets (Cybele’s flower, because in the myth violets were said to have sprung from the blood of Attis).

It was then brought before Cybele’s temple on wagons in what resembled a funeral cortege, since Attis was “dead” inside the tree. This was followed by days of frenzied grief and mourning (including scourging) known as the “blood days,” when the tree was symbolically buried in a “tomb.” Attis then resurrected (rose out of the tree) on the day of Hilaria and was reunited with Cybele, symbolizing the beginning of spring. The tree was then erected before Cybele’s temple, and the people celebrated around it. The celebrations ended on April 1, which may be the origin of our April Fool’s day (the people were having a “hilarious” celebration). This has obvious parallels with the Maypole and May Day celebrations.

The second of these holidays was the Floralia, named after Flora, goddess of flowers and spring. Originally she may have been a Sabine goddess, about whom we know nothing other than that she had a spring month named after her on the Sabine calendar (Flusalis, linguistically related to Floralia) and that supposedly an altar to her in Rome was established by the Sabine king Tatius during the legendary period of his joint rule of Rome with Romulus. But none of her Sabine mythology has survived. In Rome Flora acquired her entire surviving mythology from the Greek spring goddess Chloris (from chloros – “pale green”),

who, as Ovid tells us, was originally a beautiful nymph in the Elysian Fields catering to the pleasures of the fortunate dead. There she also attracted the attention of Zephryos, the god of the West Wind and of spring, who quickly had his way with her. But then he married her, in what turned out to be a happy, loving marriage. As a wedding gift he filled her fields (her dowry in the marriage) with a flower garden, the flowers in which were said to spring from the wounds of Attis and Adonis. Zephyros, as the West Wind, brings the spring rains that grow the flowers. Thus, Virgil wrote that “the meadows ungirdle to Zephyros’s balmy breeze; the tender moisture avails for all.” Chloris also bore from Zephryos a son, Karpos, in Greek meaning “fruit” or “crop.” Through Zephyros’s wedding gift she became the goddess having jurisdiction over flowers, which she spread (by spreading their seeds) all over the earth, which until then was monochrome. She became goddess of spring. As Flora in Rome, in the late 3rd century BCE a festival was instituted in her honor that lasted from April 28 to May 2. It included theater, a sacrifice to Flora, a procession in which a statue of Flora was carried, as well as competitive events and other spectacles at the Circus Maximus. One of these involved releasing captured hares and goats (both noted for their fertility) into the Circus, and scattering beans, vetches, and lupins (all fertility symbols) into the crowd. The celebrants wore multi-colored clothing symbolizing flowers and spring, as later was customary on May Day in Europe. It was a time of generally licentious behavior. Flora also had a rose festival on May 23.

Holy Marriage Beltane can be seen as the feast of Holy Marriage or else as the feast of fertilization in nature. The Goddess is at her best in an array of flowers and flowers. The God is green and horned. This marriage takes place in nature around us, it takes place between the God and the Goddess, between man and woman, but it is also an inner marriage of the male and female energies within you. This is the feast of the actual cosmic orgasm, which is only achieved in complete indolence or in complete unification. Fun fact! Mod Bunni has anosmia, which means she has no sense of smell. So Mod Cat will be taking care of this one!

Allar— definitely has sweet tones to him. He doesn't like to have his natural scent stick out often, so he uses sweet perfumes like candy or pastries. Cotton candy is the main scent he usually uses!

Louie— he uses cheap colognes most of the time. Nothing that assaults the nostrils, though. Bergamot, oak, stuff like that. But it barely covers up the smell of smoke that lingers on his clothing.

Mica— uses expensive and very niche colognes. Definitely the type to use cologne that has a rusty undertone. Sanguine. Usually smells very good and fresh!

Josh— probably has the most "masculine" scent out of these guys! He also uses cheap cologne, but the type that doesn't fully cover up his natural musk. Not in a gross way, though!

marigold- do you wear any kind of jewelry on a regular basis?

I actually do not, and I don't have any piercings! (And no tattoos)

crocus- do you have any significant dreams that you remember?

If I dream I rarely remember them upon waking. I had night terrors as a young child and they continue to plague me at times. They are more like a pounding sound in the dark and a deep feeling of fear and helplessness than like a scenario if that makes any sense?

violet- do you like to cook or bake?

I love to cook and bake! I probably cook more than I bake because I find it more intuitive and less rigid in the process. Pastas and soups, boring stuff like that, and I think cakes are fun to bake because you get to decorate them!

I didn't even know birth flowers were a thing! But looked it up and mine is violet/iris

violets = faithfulness, humility, spiritual wisdom

irises = eloquence, faith, wisdom, hope

I mean, that sounds pretty nice, so I'll take it! I will say that I cling to hope fiercely, so I love that that's included.
