"Solace", the second LP from Norway-based Melodic Black Metallers VINTERBRIS is available for pre-order at Nordavind'sBandcamp page. The album, which comes with a fantastic 8 page booklet with artwork by artist Kim Holm (SOLSTAFIR), costs only €9,90 with free shipping for all territories!

If you want to check how the artwork looks like then make sure to visit Kim's Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/DUHHfans as he will share all his drawings in the course of the week.

In the meantime, Invisible Oranges is streaming the album in its entirety. "They’re just good, in the way Dissection is just good. There will always be a place in your collection for good." states Invisible Oranges. They have also added the following:"Six tracks, 36 minutes. Nary a tick is wasted. Listen to "Gazing At A Fallen Sky", the second track to surface from Vinterbris' sophomore album Solace, now on Pitchfork. Hailing from Bergen, Norway, the sound of Vinterbris features the fast tempos of black metal while searching for the bigger musical landscape often found in bands likeMoonsorrow and Primordial. Along with the stream, you can also read a comment byPitchfork's writer Kim Kelly: "The uptempo 'Gazing At A Fallen Sky' boasts a folksy bounce beneath its black wings, tossing in a Viking chorus and rippling solos for good measure." Nordavind signs VINTERBRIS and set release date for new album; premieres first track

Today, NORDAVIND RECORDS sets June 16th as the international release date for VINTERBRIS' sophomore album, Solace.

Formed in 2008 in Bergen (Norway), the music from VINTERBRIS is highly inspired by groups such as Primordial and Moonsorrow while retaining its own atmosphere and originality. After having released an EP and a self-titled full-length, the band is now back with Solace, a desolate and melancholic record with the backbone of true Norwegian black metal. With a lyrical concept centered around one man's struggle with self-acceptance, existence and place in nature, the soundscapes ofSolace are complete.

Now, VINTERBRIS have joined forces with label NORDAVIND RECORDS. Kristoffer Aalhus (bass) comments on the signing:"Today we announce the great news of inking our first record deal! Vinterbris are very happy to have signed a contract with Nordavind Records for the release of Solace, and we look forward to seeing what this partnership can bring."
