Ok so I play stardew valley a little bit and I haven't ever gotten that far into the game but I have a conspiracy theory that builds on the theory of the wizard and Abigail, and if you don't know what that theory is I'm about to explain it. So it's a pretty well known thought that Abigail is actually the wizards daughter and not Pierre's,because it's known that the wizards wife left him for cheating and became a witch, and the theory is that he chested on his ex wife with Caroline and she then had Abigail and he knows about her and is pretty sure she's his daughter, but now here's where my build on comes in,so the wizard says at some point he thinks on of the locals is his daughter, but my though is what is he cheated more than once.So we know that Demetrius is only sebastions step father and as far as I know his father is not actually known because I've looked and have gotten alot of different answers that just don't seem right,so I think before Robin met Demetrius and before she had Maru I think the wizard also cheated on his ex wife with her ormaybe even after she left but he wasn't aware she became pregnant,Robin is hardworking and independent so it's nor that far fetched she would handle the pregnancy herself and not tell the wizard, and I think that pregnancy was Sebastion and the wizard just never found out about him only Abigail, which would then mean that Abigail and Sebastion are actually half siblings along with Sebastion and Maru being half siblings. Idk if I sound crazy because again I've never gotten very far into the game so if im missing some lore that would disprove this then please let me know,I've had this idea for a bit now and just need to tell people because my mom dosnt understand my crazed stardew affair ravings lmao

Seeing Twitter users recommending the People Make Games documentary as a good way to get insight on the issue is so….
I know, I’m always extremely disappointed whenever I come across someone who thinks it’s the end all be all explanations regarding the Studio ZA/UM situation.
Recommending that video always comes with a heavy caveat from me that the person needs to stop around the 40 minute mark since the interviewer shows a very clear bias that’s unbecoming of a journalist.
Regardless, now that more people are finding out about these layoffs, which might take out members of the studio that have been there since the beginning, it could finally help smack some sense into those Twitter users that actually thought, FOR SOME REASON, Rostov, Kurvitz, and Hindpere were lying for shits and giggles rather than seeing what's ACTUALLY going on which is that the investors have a very obvious agenda against the real wronged party. Hopefully this'll also open their eyes to how the People Make Games video fed into this twisted narrative that Kurvitz was somehow at fault/responsible for the theft of his own IP, but that might be asking too much from their concrete brains. Here's hoping though!

Me realising that while we saw Pey’J get gunned down by Eden police officers while protecting other hybrids during the riot , Pey’J was never actually confirmed to have died from those bullets
Bullfrog was taken into custody before he could try helping Pey’J and Dolph was taken by Sarah into the wasteland. Meaning neither of them were there to see to Pey’J’s body, and that the two are assuming Pey’J is dead
Cody, Jade and Dolph all died because of the bombs inside their heads detonating. We also saw their bodies from the aftermath of that fact
Pey’J is the only one (besides Bullfrog) whose bomb didn’t detonate
We didn’t see what happened to Pey’J’s body

thinking about how there is "Americanized Fantasy" and "American Fantasy"
Americanized fantasy is that vaguely european folklore aesthetic. Like elves, dwarves, gods, demons...etc. You'll see it in stuff like D&D, Warhammer, Video Games, Books... And then theres actual American Fantasy, which is stuff like bigfoot, the jersey devil, mothman, aliens, the wendigo, lizard people, area 51... I think Lovecraft stuff can fit into that too. I think Scooby Doo and Gravity Falls fit into the American Fantasy genre.

Some images from the recent Drowned God: Conspiracy of the Ages art "book" and pitch document by Harry Horse and Alastair Graham:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the people who put out the Drowned God re-release have given up on it because there haven't been any updates on it since July, not even from the website, the Steam release hasn't happened yet, there was supposed to be a Q&A video with Alastair Graham and Algy Williams that never came out, and I still don't know what they're doing with those pieces of art that were never included in the art "book". They must have thought the story around Harry Horse would have brought more attention to it but since I haven't seen much talk about the re-release at all they were clearly wrong.
I'll let y'all in on a little secret: Back in 2023, when I first got word that they were planning on doing a re-release, me and another Drowned God super-fan were strung along because we were told (I myself was told indirectly because I did not have direct contact with some of the people involved with the re-release, but the other fan was, so I heard it from him) that we would possibly get to be involved in some capacity. Apparently they considered bringing us on board to act as lore consultants since none of the rights holders sure as fuck ever actually played the game.
The rights holders also considered adding in new story material, in what capacity we weren't really sure, but I was told that they were considering putting in an AI modeled after Harry Horse. I strongly objected to this, not only from a moral standpoint of being against using dead peoples' images and voices like that without their consent after their deaths, but from a pragmatic standpoint because as far as many people are concerned, Harry Horse is a murderer, and even if he hasn't been proven 100% guilty and you could make the argument he didn't do it, a lot of people wouldn't touch the re-release with a ten-foot pole if there was an AI of Harry, so they should try to distance themselves from him and not acknowledge him too much in the new stuff.
Whether my concerns were passed along to them and they agreed with me or they changed their minds on their own, I don't know, but either way they didn't end up putting in an AI Harry Horse, which I was thankful for.
Me and the other fan were otherwise super stoked to potentially be involved, because we thought that we might get to become more than lore consultants. Maybe we could write lore stuff for players to read to help them understand the game better, we thought.
But we didn't hear back from them. They put out the re-release without us. I asked the other fan about it and he was just as confused and underwhelmed by it as me. I think we should have been involved, we couldn't have done a worse job at advertising the re-release than they did!

I can’t prove this but I feel that “Resident Evil: Dead Aim” was supposed to star Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong, but Capcom changed their minds at the last second.
I mean…Bruce McGivern is a top U.S. agent and his attire looks nearly identical to Leon’s in RE4. Also, while it’s possible to have two Chinese female secret agents in your story, it feels strange when both characters have similar personalities and relationships with the American agent protagonist (Bruce/Leon).
My conspiracy theory is that “Dead Aim” was going to star Leon and Ada, but then Capcom changed their minds (maybe because they were saving the Leon and Ada reunion for RE4) and forced the writers to change the characters. The writers were too far into the process to completely change the story, so they just changed the names. The artists also didn’t want to overhaul their designs, so they just slightly changed how the characters look, hence why Bruce’s outfit looks like Leon’s RE4 costume.
(Also, Dead Aim was made in 2003 and RE4 was made in 2005. I feel like with only two years apart, Capcom had to have RE4 already in development while Dead Aim was being made. It would make sense if Capcom intended Dead Aim to lead into RE4)

Folding Ideas: My Personal Favorites
Sometime last year I saw The Future is a Dead Mall for the first time, and as my first video from Dan Olson I can't say I was particularly hooked. Part of that was because the next few videos recommended to me were Line Goes Up, and Jamie Oliver's War on Chicken Nuggets which are really long and I don't really care about respectively. However, having gotten really into his videos recently I kind of just wanted to post something about it, so here's my list of my favorite 8 videos of his.
I Don't Know James Rolfe
It's just, so damn good. The framing of a retrospective on Dan life and career as a pseudo-takedown video on someone he claims to share some kinship with combined with a performed midlife crisis. Just absolutely brilliant. As far as particular draws for this video: the shot were Dan gets really angry at the camera while talking about how hard it is, while sitting underneath a projection of James is easily my favorite thing Dan has ever made.
2) This is Financial Advice
A thorough autopsy of the Gamestop squeeze and the followers of the meme stock movement with a few of my favorite gags of Dan's, also my favorite character of his (I'm new here). While a far more thorough video than Jauwn's video on Kais Maalej when it comes to the big picture both are very solid videos in their own right.
3) In Search of a Flat Earth
To be completely honest this is not a great Flat Earth video. It's good and it has quite a few incredible parts but I don't think it's as good as Hbomberguy's or Philosophy Tube's and especially not Professor Dave's. However, this is the single best video I've seen on Qanon. Also the descriptor Esoteric Fictionalism is really good
4)The Future is a Dead Mall
Of his 2 videos on defi I think this is the stronger of Dan's, and I think that's for a few reasons. Namely because he's able to attack the idea of the Metaverse more directly than he's able to attack anything during Line Goes Up, but maybe I just don't remember it as well.
5) Line Goes Up
NFT's are really fascinating and Dan does a really good job of covering them, it's just there's a few other youtubers who also make great videos on NFT's and crypto as their main focus, namely Jauwn and Coffeezilla.
6)The Art of Editing and Suicide Squad
A really good video on a pretty bad movie. It covers a lot of the problems in the movie and how despite several of them being caused by studio overreach it just wasn't going to be a particularly good movie. Also El Diablo is far and away the best character in the movie .
7)The Darkmoon Fiasco
Short sweet to the point.
8)Contrepreneurs: The Mikkelsen Twins
Dan writes a book about hypnosis. also he makes a whole video off of ads that just kind of annoyed him, he does the same thing for the Idris Elba Gold Doc which is also a great video but I think this one is the better of the 2.
