genshin posting once again. natlan is bad for many reasons already specified on this blog, but i’m adding another one to the list. THE most interesting character shit in the game comes from the archons+neuvillette’s deeply insane problems, both with the gods and with each other, all of it rooted in their immortality and their positions as incredibly powerful beings pinned like butterflies to the crumbling cardstock of the world by powers even greater than themselves, and mavuika has NONE of that. she isn’t immortal, she wasn’t around for the archon war, she is just a lady who happened to be alive 500 years ago and is currently alive again for a second normal human lifespan. even if she does know the other archons, she can’t know them well, she’s only been alive like 50 years max. her shit is boring her outfit sucks and she will never be part of the incredibly bad and evil archon+neuvillette relationship pile-up. what is the POINT

At this point in time I think I can say Zhongli's archon tier list has Nahida at the top and everyone else getting varying levels of judgement from the eldest of their number for their questionable actions.

We know he's got nothing but shit to talk about his neighbor in the land of freedom when he literally roasted Venti right out the gate in his part of his archon quest as the absentee archon and his voice line is just a whole insult saying he's a drunkard and a disgrace to the arts despite their long time friendship.

Ei of course abandoned her people to live in solitude and left a puppet tyrant in her place to subjugate her people, isolate them, and rob them of their ambitions. It leaves him intrigued but rather disappointed as he has also known Ei for quite some time and her grief led her deeply astray.

He seems aware of what the Tsaritsa is trying to do but I also cannot see him agreeing with her overall methodology which causes a great deal of strife amongst the mortals of Teyvat even if he may agree with the end goal of it all hence his cooperation with giving away his gnosis but otherwise staying uninvolved.

As a god whose ideals are aligned with fairness and justice I can't see him respecting anything happening in Fontaine under Furina's rule because to make a spectacle of a system which should be in place to promote order turns it to chaos and Furina's inclination toward being a theatrical celebrity rather than being a respected archon is just utterly baffling. Her youth shows in her position in a bad way.

Pyro archon is left to be determined but 🤷

As for Nahida, he's aware she's still young in her rebirth and was mistreated by her people. She has much left to rediscover about herself and her power, but she has shown her intelligence and ability to continue to protect Irminsul and overcome that which her people put her through so he's got nothing bad to say.
