Saiyan Day Special!(Smutty Saiyan headcanons)
warnings: smut, unprotected sex, cunnilingus/oral sex(fem receiving), rough sex, mentions of breeding, Broly turning into his Legendary form, monster fucking(Broly) pairings: Vegeta x Fem!Reader, Son Goku x Fem!Reader and Broly x Fem!Reader a/n: I don't own the artwork. This is another little treat for Saiyan day! Hope you all enjoy! Smut under the cut!
“That’s it,” Vegeta grunts. “Take my cock,”
You’re on the bed on your hands and knees. It feels like it’s been hours since he started fucking you. He’s been needy all day, but he couldn’t hold back any longer. His large hands grip your hips so bruisingly. Your eyes roll back again when the tip of his thick cock hits your sweet spot.
“Haaaah—Vegeta, please,”
He smirks at your sweet little pleading. It’s so sexy to be able to fuck you so stupid like this. He knows he should be spending more time with you like this, but he also needs to train to surpass Kakarot. The thing is he knows he surpasses Kakarot in terms of being able to fuck his woman. There’s no way that Kakarot could be better at love making than the prince of all Saiyans.
“Keep saying my name like that, babygirl. You know I love it when you beg for your prince.”
You feel your thighs shuddering as your muscles start giving out. You’ve had countless orgasms since Vegeta began, but this might be the one that completely ruins you for the day. And then, he’ll probably still fuck you until you cry for him to stop.
“At least…”you pant, “At least let me see you. Let me hold you.”
He pulls out of you, rolling you onto your back. Once you’re in the perfect mating press, he slams himself back into you. The sudden roughness causes you to cry out and he’s just pounding you into the mattress..
“As you wish, princess.” He says smugly. “But be careful of what you wish for…”
Goku could literally go on and on and on for days. You had joked about him being the Energizer bunny when you first started dating, but he really surpassed that. Goku was the kind of Saiyan that enjoyed sex a lot. He craves it constantly, and trying to keep up with his demands could be exhausting for you. Yet, you enjoyed every moment of it.
Right now, he’s between your thighs and lapping at your cunt like it’s the only thing he ever wants to taste in his life. You have to concentrate on your breathing so you don’t just gush all over his face, though he certainly would enjoy it. When his dark eyes dart up to lock with your own, you can feel your thighs tensing at the intense gaze.
“Hehe, I can feel your pussy twitching,” Goku says between slurps. Two of his fingers are deep inside of you, reaching for that sweet spot that makes your legs shake and your eyes roll back.
“D-don’t say it like that,” You mumble timidly.
Goku smirks at your reaction. You’re so adorable like this. And he just loves making you feel so good. It’s one of the best things in this world.
“I know you’re going to cum,” he moans against your cunt. “So you better just let go for me.”
A few more swipes of his tongue on your clit and his fingers pressing against your sweet spot, and you’re gushing all over his face just as you thought you would. Goku looks at you, face drenched in your juices.
“You ready?”
Broly never realized how life could be so good. When he first met you, he was completely smitten by you. But it scared him so much to grow attached to someone. Slowly, you showed him the joys of life on Earth, of which sex was one of his favorites.
It took a little time to get him acclimated to fucking. Usually, he would grow too excited and pretty much try to turn into his Legendary form. This was a scary aspect to showing him the joys and pleasures of love making, but you were patient with him. And as time went on, you learned how to deal with him turning into this form.
“Fuck fuck fuck!” Broly grunts as he pumps into your pussy. “S’too tight! S’too wet!”
Everytime he fucks you, he accidentally fucks himself stupid. Which in turn makes you completely overstimulated. You notice his eyes are starting to turn green, and you groan as you feel his whole body changing shape and size. The cock deep inside of you was growing as well, and your tight little walls were trying so hard to accommodate him.
“Good little pussy,” Broly groans. “Pretty little mate,”
You whine and whimper as he pushes your knees to your chest and he begins to fuck you like he’s going to breed you. You know that no matter what happens, he’s going to take good care of you after this. Broly has learned the art of aftercare.
“Let me breed…”

Gohan and Future Trunks Deserve Better
I have been getting back into DBZ and my love for Gohan and Future Trunks has been reignited. And I am just craving fics where these two precious gems can be doted on and pampered. Because they deserve it! Unfortunately, DBZ fanfiction is not awashed with soft, tender moments :(.
I just need to rant.
Let's start with Gohan. The best Saiyan hybrid. No one, not even Future Trunks, can compete with Gohan's top hybrid status. I know Gohan is not a fighter like his dad and he fights mainly to protect people...but I wish more fanfic writers would explore this as a trauma response. Think about it. Piccolo kidnapped him and forced him into the Saiyan fight. As much as I gush over the Piccolo & Gohan relationship, Piccolo's crimes can't be forgotten. He forced Gohan into fighting and he was not a nurturing teacher. Gohan's first experience with fighting was severely traumatizing. He endured all those brutal fights as a kid, a baby. He faced Frieza, the emperor of the universe, when he was FIVE YEARS OLD. Then the fate of the world was placed on his shoulders when he was 10 when he fought against Cell. Talk about a messed-up childhood.
Then we have the post Cell saga. I understand Goku wanting to stay dead to protect his family - I will never respect that decision. But he failed Gohan as a dad. Can we talk about the likely parentification Gohan would have experienced?? With Goku dead, Gohan is basically the head of the house. I can see Gohan being Chi Chi's support, especially when Goten came into the picture. So not only was Gohan thrusted into fighting and horrific battles throughout his childhood, but now when he needs his father the most as a young man he has no dad. I hope Krillin acted as a father figure. The Z fighters treat Gohan as one of the boys so much that they often forget he's a freaking child. Please get Gohan some therapy. The curse of being the oldest kid. You never get to be sheltered like the younger kids :(
And you best believe that Gohan had to step up as head of the family AGAIN when Goku decided to go on a training trip with Uub with a TBD timeframe. I know Gohan was a grown man then but still...
And now Future Trunks. Oh poor Future Trunks. After all he has been through, my boy Trunks deserves the world and an eternal vacation. Being the Earth's last hope is a heavy burden. Especially when you are not qualified. It's only fairly recently (maybe last year) that I learned that Trunks is not a good fighter. But you can't blame him. His training was severely limited and he was constantly fighting for his life.
The biggest disappointment of the Cell saga is that Trunks did not have a single mentor. By then, Trunks' epic entrance against Frieza should have worn off and it's disgraceful that no one took the time to train this kid. Vegeta should have taken Trunks under his wing but Vegeta couldn't give a damn. But come on, Goku, Piccolo?? Anyone? Even Popo would be better than nothing! Why didn't Piccolo take Trunks with him into the time chamber?? Someone give this guy some training! How could any of the Z fighters feel comfortable letting Trunks go back to the future with his lack of fighting skill?!!!
And I feel so bad for Trunks when it comes to Vegeta. Bulma sold her son a romanticized version of Vegeta and the man was a massive disappointment. Vegeta did not deserve such a sweet, loyal son like Trunks. Imagine you grow up in this dystopian world and you try to save another timeline even though yours will not be directly benefited. Then your foolish dad, in his quest for power, spits in your face and allows another monster to destroy the timeline you risked your neck to save. With Krillin's lovesick antics, Vegeta's testosterone stupidity and the Z fighters just being an uncoordinated mess, I am surprised Trunks did not tear his hair out in frustration.
Kid Trunks should be happy that Future Trunks was Vegeta's guinea pig for fatherhood. I mean I love Vegeta's character arc but I feel jealous on Trunks' behalf to see Vegeta become such a huge softy with Bra/Bulla.
And then Future Trunks has to go back home where he is the sole defender of Earth. And from what I hear, he loses everything in DBS. Can we just give Trunks a happy ending?! Forget Buu and the other intergalactic crazies! Just let Trunks be a teenager! Let him have awkward dates! Let him be a kid! Let him marry a sweet girl and have a family!! My boy deserves peace!!!
I just want to wrap Gohan and Future Trunks in soft blankets and hide them away.

A Saiyan Raised on Earth's Regrets:
It had been several months since Goku and Chi-Chi had their separation, and only a couple months after Broly came to Earth. Several hundred Frieza Force battleships decided to invade Earth without Frieza's knowledge. However, Goku had disappeared for some time before he noticed they came back. Assisting Broly Gohan, Piccolo and Vegeta, Goku had been able to make sure the Frieza soldiers were all dealt with.
However the final battle conspired in space and it was between the Frieza Force members and the Father and Son Duo. The numbers were more than enough to cause Goku and Gohan to go all out for the entire duration of the fight. Tons of energy blasts and constant flying at intense speeds, and trying to clear the battle as fast as possible, in order to prevent any of the Frieza soldiers from landing on Earth.
Eventually the battle was over. Both the pureblooded Saiyan, that was raised on Earth and his hybrid son were looking at the void of space and the Earth. A beautiful view as they were close to the atmosphere again. Gohan was in disbelief that their various methods of energy usage worked but Goku had become more reckless ever since his separation from Chi-Chi. In fact, he actually hadn't slept in days. Weeks even. He was focusing too much on his mistakes that drove her away and now he felt that he deserved every bit of suffering that he was now going through every bit of pain and guilt rolling up inside. And the truth is he was only bottling it up more and more.
He wanted so badly to tell her how sorry he was for all of the mistakes he had made. To tell her how he truly felt about her but he knew he couldn't. She would only reject him again but she did the last several hundred times over the past few months. Ever since she first kicked him out. Everything that had happened within that span up until now, the divorce papers that he wasn't even sure were still up for debate, the scare of people jumping her, and him actually looking for the attackers to try to keep her safe, the time she constantly rejected him and pushed him away. It was like every time he tried to get her back or tried to make things right, he was kicked back down and now he was at a point where he just couldn't take it anymore.
He said he was done fighting, and yet here he was constantly trying to fight, for her. To make sure she was happy, that she was safe. Because why wouldn't he? How can you look at the one you love and choose to walk away. You never give up on them. Even if the road was hard even if it seemed impossible. Chi-Chi told him that but her rejection was killing him slowly on the inside.
And no matter how many times he tried so hard to let her go, he just couldn't. His heart would never stop aching for her even though he was tired of it. He was tired of his heart aching for her. He lived for her love and her affection. Her rejection the entire time was constantly killing him he couldn't take it anymore. Perhaps the world would be better off without him. Perhaps everyone including her would be much happier without him around. Maybe.....
Before he could continue his thought, Gohan then began to speak. "Phew..." he started with a deep breath. "I can't believe that strategy actually worked, Dad."
Goku could hear the disbelief and his son's voice still. Though he would never admit it out loud, he himself wasn't so sure it was going to work either. Especially in the condition he was actually truly in which he was surprisingly good at hiding, with both of them reverting back from Super Saiyan into their base form. "Of course it did, Gohan," The Earth Saiyan told his son. Disbelief was hurting his voice for the fact that Gohan even doubted him in the first place. "Why wouldn't it work? Did ya really doubt me, Kiddo?" Only Goku noticed right away, but he also knew it was only a matter of time before Gohan also noticed. He felt his breathing becoming heavier causing him to place his hand his chest where his heart was. It was clearly from exhaustion caused by a multitude of things with the fight only being one of them. The fatigue was finally starting to take a toll, which Goku was surprised it hadn't already.
Gohan was shocked by his father's remark, but then he remembered this was his father they were talking about. Taking a deep breath, he then spoke again with a little bit of relief. "Well it's the fact that we haven't had any major threats for a while and you didn't look like you were fighting in per-" It was at that moment the eldest son of Goku and Chi-Chi noticed his father breathing heavier than he was only a minute ago. "Dad!? Are you sure you're okay!?"
Before Gohan could even say anything else, Goku quickly shouted, "Yes!" He then began to speak more calmly now, and he knew his son was seeing the tired looking eyes I could hear the tiring tone in his voice. "I'm okay..... Really... I am... I'm just.... Tired is all..... So..... Damn..... Tired...."
The way Goku was speaking was causing a lot of concern for Gohan. Trying to play it cool, Gohan carefully observed his father for a little bit before taking one good look at the Earth again. So beautiful and peaceful in space. "Yeah..." The hybrid hesitantly said. The concern evidently there. "Fair enough, I'm kinda exhausted myself. We really did use a lot of our energy against all those guys. Despite us being strong enough to take them all down, their numbers were really more than enough to wear us out. I'm surprised we're still in Super Saiyan at the moment. We should probably head back home and let everyone including mom know that we're-." He stopped dead in his tracks with what he was about to say when he saw his father slowly falling back into the Earth's atmosphere. "Dad...?" At that moment, he slowly realized what was going on. "DAD!!!!"
The son of Goku quickly chased after his father who was slowly increasing in speed as he fell towards the Earth. And as soon as Gohan was able to reach him, he then grabbed his father by the right arm. "Gotcha!" He shouted as he couldn't begin to imagine what his father could be thinking right now. "Dad! Please! Say something!"
What Goku said next broke his son's heart and she actually saw what he never saw his father do. Tell him something that Gohan would never have wanted him to say. "Let me go... " Goku said which caused Gohan to snap but not out of anger but with tears in his eyes.
"Are you insane!?" Gohan told his father frantically. The pain in his voice could be heard. "No fucking way, Dad! You are in no condition to fly! You wouldn't even be able to call the nimbus due to exhaustion! If I drop you, that's the end!"
"You don't know that...." Goku said blankly as if there was a bit of emptiness in his voice. It seems that all of the bottled up depression, pain and self hatred that he had developed that he just bottled up was now slowly coming to light for everyone to see.
"Well I know what I'm about to lose my father again!" Gohan fired back. His voice is sharp and stern. The tone filled with fiery passion behind it as if he was desperately trying to reach out to his father. To help him.
Goku didn't care about any of it and he couldn't clearly begin to fathom why anyone could try to want him to still be around. What he says next is evident. "Let me go..... Right now..." He said coldly. It was as if there was a void in his heart that was slowly eating away at him on the inside. "Gohan... Please don't make me do this...."
"Hell no!" Gohan then fired back. His refusal to let his father do this to himself made it evident that Gohan okay would have to do something drastic. "I'm not losing you again!"
"Yes.... You are...." Goku painfully said.
Gohan stared at his father in disbelief and pain as the tears continued to fall down his face. "Dad....."
The tears finally fell down his face and Gohan could clearly see that his father was in immense emotional and mental pain. Goku always said Chi-Chi was the strongest. And he meant it. Everyone thought he was joking but he actually meant it. No one had any idea not even Chi-Chi, about how much power she had over him. She was the world, she was everything. He could never beat her or truly ever say no. No matter how many times he tried to fight he knew he would ultimately cave in. He could never deny her. And now he feels that he never deserved her in the first place. What even made her love him?
Snapping back to out of his thoughts about her, he then looked at his son, the pain in his eyes and in his voice were seen and heard. "Ya need to stop and think.... about the right choice...." He told Gohan. It was clear that he didn't want to keep bringing pain to his family they wanted to end his own pain and pretty much relieve them of it. Believing that he was the reason why they're in pain. Simply because he was there. "What is more important, kiddo? The life of a Saiyan that was raised on Earth who failed his purpose and let everyone he knew and loved down, and ruined his life to the point of no return? That only screws everything up?" He looks down onto the Earth admiring his beauty for what he believed to be the last time as the tears continue to fall down before he continues. "Or the billions of people down there.... Including you, Goten and yer mom, who still have a chance to be happy..."
"DON'T SAY THAT!!!!" Gohan shouts at the top of his lungs. The desperation is now evident in his voice. "Every life is important! Including yours! You and Mom taught me that!" Goku looked at his son as Gohan continued to desperately plead Goku not to throw his life away. "I'm not about to allow you to throw your life away! And if you think I'd make the same mistake of letting you die because-!" Before Gohan could even finish, Goku quickly grabbed Gohan's arms to try to break free of his hold. He was also trying to give him his energy as well so that Gohan would get home safely. Gohan was not willing to oblige. "DAD!!! STOP!!!! PLEASE!!!!"
Goku didn't even let Gohan fight him on this as he started transferring what was left of all of his energy to his son. "just take my remaining energy..... And get back to the others.... Take care of your family.... Take care of your mom and your brother for me.... Tell your brother that I'm proud of both of you... and that... I always will be.... Tell the others I love them too... Most importantly.... Tell your mother.... That I love her.... And that..... I'm sorry..... For everything......."
Those words became the ultimate stake stabbed right through Gohan's heart as he slowly but surely started to let go of his father, without even realizing it. "Dad....." It was at that moment he saw his father smile. A pained smile. A smile that couldn't even hide the fact that he was in so much pain.
"I'm proud of you, Gohan..... And I always will be....." Goku finally said before he transferred what was left of his energy. And slowly began to fall when Gohan realized that he had accidentally let his father go.
Rushing towards his father to try to save him, the hybrid then began to scream out towards him. A scream that all of the earth could even hear. "DAAAAAAD!!!!!!!!!"
Goku couldn't help but begin to close his tired eyes and he continued to have that smile. He couldn't help but think to himself then maybe now this was for the best. The flames, slowly surrounded him as this happened. 'Chi-Chi...' he internally taught himself. Knowing she would never hear his words ever again, or so he thought. '...as long as you're happy..... And safe.... Even if it's without me in your life..... I'll be more than happy to die knowing that.... I'm sorry for everything I've done that hurt you.......... I love you..... And I always will......'
And with that he fully closed his eyes and started to let himself go. The last thing he remembered was falling deep into the water of the ocean.
A few moments later Goku was slowly opening his eyes seemingly in a strange and distorted world that he had no recollection of. He felt that he was laying on top of flowers of some kind as he slowly began to sit up, groaning a little bit as he did so. "mmHg... Oh.... My head...." He heard himself say, placing his hand on his head. "What happened...? Where..... Am I...?"
He then took a minute to look around his surroundings. The world he was seemingly in. It was mostly quiet. It was lonely. So damn lonely. It was dim and only a few spots where there was light. This wasn't anything like the other world so he knew he wasn't dead. At least not yet. It was confusing. Was he dreaming? Was he in the brink between life and death? Was this his own personal Hell? Sometimes he felt he deserved to be there for all the pain he had caused.
He found himself laying on top of the flower bed and then you noticed the familiar woman. Her Raven dark hair all the way down, she wore the yellow dress with the sleeves. Was that Chi-Chi? No. It couldn't be. She made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with him anymore, right? This had to be a dream. It had to be. "Chi-Chi...?"
"So....." Chi-Chi's look alike said in a seemingly somber tone. "You ended up in this lonely place again....."
Again? Goku was confused. But then it was at this moment then when he looked at the woman, she didn't just look like Chi-Chi. She WAS Chi-Chi. It was at that moment he realized he was dreaming. He remembered that ever since they separated all he did was dream about her. He dreamt about being with her again being able to touch her again. To feel her arms around him and having his arms wrapped around her. To kiss her with all the love and passion that he had for her. To tell her how he felt how sorry he was about all of his mistakes. Every single fucking one.
"Where are we?" Goku asked. There was clear confusion in his voice as he said this. "What's going on?"
"It's as you're thinking right now," Chi-Chi told him. "As You Are in the brink between life and death, I manifest through your dreams....." So he was dreaming. He has always been so aware of it. The dream version of Chi-Chi then began to speak again. "Which begs the question, what are you doing here? Or rather.... What's the last thing you remember?"
Goku took a deep breath as he felt a large amount of thought swelling in his mind. The most recent memory is hazy but there are bits and pieces that he was remembering quite vividly. "I.... I was.... Falling.... Falling back to Earth from space..... Someone was trying to catch me...." The echoes of Gohan calling out to him in a desperate scream to save him. ".....Gohan......" Tears started to form from remembering. "I was thinking about you as I fell into the ocean...... Why is everything else so hazy?"
The dream version of Chi-Chi then looked at Goku. There was a bit of pain in her eyes as she looked at him. He knew it was because of him that she had that sad look. It was almost as if she was on the verge of tears. "Goku.... Unlike the real me, I saw everything you've been going through ever since you and I separated in the real world...... I saw how much more reckless you became without me..... I saw you take a darker turn in your life.... And I'd be lying I said I wasn't hurt and worried about you with this truth, and the real me would have most certainly been destroyed by this. But I also saw the instances that let me know you were still there. You fought against those soldiers of Frieza alongside the others, you pushed through until the bitter end. But there is one thing that breaks my heart about that whole situation."
"What do you mean by that?" Goku asked in genuine confusion. This is probably going to be the only way he could be with the woman he loved again.
"Goku..." The dream Chi-Chi started as she placed her hands cheeks. "Goku I know this is hard.... I know what you've been going through and I'd be lying if I said that I could completely understand just how lost and hurt you are right now.... But you made the right choice...." The dream version of Chi-Chi then took a deep breath before she began to talk again. "But what our son, Gohan, said to you before you fell. About every life being important. And you being no exception, he was right. But now you're here, even though you can't stay for long. Even right now, all of our friends are trying to save you as we speak."
And she was right. In the real world Goku was taken out of the ocean and placed in an island where the other Dragon team members were able to find Gohan and Goku. Gohan tries to do the compressions with his gi to try to get his father's heart to beat again. The Earth Saiyan's body was completely lifeless which confirmed that he was indeed currently on the line between life and death. Goku was so tempted to try to find a way to jump the line between life and death and embrace death. But he couldn't find it. He couldn't find the door.
And he was also processing everything she just said, "Then.... I'm actually...... alive....?"
"My love...." The dream Chi-Chi continued. "You have suffered so much and forced yourself to suffer so much more because of your mistakes. And even though you're trying to make things right by doing what you think is best, I need you to do something. Goku..... You deserve the same happiness as anyone else does..... I know this is going to hurt and that it's going to be difficult. Especially now..... But I want you to live...... I want you to be happy......"
Goku could feel his heart sink as the tears started to fall from his eyes again from the dream of his wife truly telling him what she wanted. What Chi-Chi would have really wanted from him. "I..... I can't Chi-Chi....." Goku told her in his most pained voice possible. "I've only ever truly been happy when I was with you... So please.... Don't leave me alone again.... Even if it's only a dream...."
"Oh Goku....." Chi-Chi in his dream said that she hugged him tightly while she whispered into his ear to reassure him that everything was going to be okay. "Goku... I know it hurts to know that the real me is out of your life because of your mistakes.... But I am just your dream of her...... I'm not real.... Please try to understand that you are never truly alone..... Everyone has come to you even when you try to push them all away....... To see what happened to you..... They wanted to help you..... Our son wanted to save you...... And know that I will always be watching over you, Goku..... And with you in your heart..... I wish I could do more but the least you can do for me is try to understand that...."
"Chi-Chi...." Goku was only able to say.
And Chi-Chi was shocked by this but saw Gohan deliver another chest compression that actually started Goku's heartbeat. It was then she realized that Goku was about to wake up as she predicted. The others were able to save from death. She then continued to speak softly once more. "You'll be waking up soon. So it's almost farewell."
"What!?" Goku said in shock as he then continued to try to figure out what was going on. "What do you mean by "waking up"!? What's happening!?"
"Don't be afraid, Goku...." She then told him. She continued to reassure him that everything was going to be okay. "What will happen next will be as much of a mystery as it is for me. But there that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. There's so much I wish I could still tell you, but at least I was able to get the most important stuff that I needed to tell you out."
"Chi-Chi!?" Goku questioned again but then noticed hands were grabbing him and a sudden pain in his chest could be felt from the compression that triggered another heartbeat that guaranteed his heart to function normally again. "WAIT!!!!! PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO ME!!!!!" He heard himself screaming desperately.
"Life won't always be happy Goku," Chichi assured him. "But I know you'll find a way to be able to walk again and carve the path that you are set out for with all the strength in the world." It was at that moment the dream of Chi-Chi began to tear up and she then started crying softly as she finished everything she was going to say to him before he woke up. "Please.... Goku.... Try to live for me and the real Chi-Chi, okay?"
"What is this!?" Goku couldn't contain his desperation and emotions as he desperately tried to beg this version of Chi-Chi that manifested in his dreams to not leave him like the real one did. He couldn't pair his heart being shattered to pieces a million times again. "PLEASE!!!! DON'T GO!!! DON'T LEAVE ME AGAIN!!!!!" It was at that moment he felt another pain in his chest as he cried out from the pain.
"Sayonara Goku...." The dream told him as all of this was happening as he slowly was being dragged into the abyss that was manifested by him being dragged back into reality. "I love you..... And I always will......"
It was at that point Goku screamed out for his wife's name as he was slowly dragged into the hole that would cause him to wake up from his dream while he was in limbo. "CHI-CHI!!!!!!"
At that moment, Goku began to cough up whatever water managed to enter his body. He could hear everyone's sighs of relief and took deep breaths as he slowly began to open his eyes. He saw all of his friends there, and he even saw Chi-Chi. And the first thing she would have seen was the tears falling from his eyes...

Dragon Ball Super comes to PUBG Mobile with new game modes
On July 13, PUBG Mobile will receive the 2.7 update, which brings tons of themed content based on Dragon Ball Super. It's the bomb they've been preparing at Krafton for some time. The collaboration with Dragon Ball Super has been in beta for a few days, so you may have seen a video leaked on social networks. The crossover will go live this week with the 2.7 Update on July 13th, adding in two new modes and a ton of cosmetics to the game. Some of the additions you'll come across include improvements to the World of Wonder creative mode, a new assault rifle ACE32, Cycle 5 Season 13 being updated with new content, rewards, and cosmetics to unlock, and the latest Royale Pass Ace will bring new rewards and Season Missions. The first of the two ground-breaking Dragon Ball Super modes will take place in-game from July 13th until September 4th, featuring Dragon Ball elements merged with classic PUBG Mobile battle royale gameplay. Through this mode, players can collect seven Dragon Balls to summon Shenron and make a wish at the Shenron Summoning Altar for powerful in-game buffs. Players will have a chance to discover four new Dragon Ball Super areas in Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok built to replicate locations and architecture from the series! "Dragon Ball Village," "Tenkaichi Budokai," "Kame House," and "Karin Tower" all contain goodies for players to find. What's more, players will be able to throw the new "Hoipoi Capsule" for it to transform into the three-seater "Air Car" to traverse the battlegrounds. There's a "Ki" component to this update, integral to the Dragon Ball series! Gather "Ki" like Energy for enhanced mobility and use the legendary "Kamehameha" beam to take out enemies and the "Buku-jutsu (Levitation technique)" to fly freely at running speed. When players find themselves low on "Ki," they can eat scattered "Senzu Beans" to regain it along with Health and Energy. What's more, those craving an extra challenge should stay tuned for more details on the hidden Dragon Ball Trial. Here, players will be tasked to search for seven Dragon Balls, all while their location is visible to other teams! To win the game, players must successfully secure the Dragon Balls, defend the Sheron Summoning Altar, and then make a wish. Battle Royale: Dragon Ball Super The second of the two Dragon Ball Super modes will bring a gameplay makeover never-before-seen in PUBG Mobile, transforming the battlegrounds into a stylistic animated art-style world from July 15th until September 4th. Players will abandon their traditional weaponry and instead embody one of five of Dragon Ball Super's characters – Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, and Ultimate Gohan – using their unique main and support moves in battle and strive to be the last one standing! As part of this brand new mode, players will gather Spirit Crystlets and Spirit Crystals from the ground to restore energy and upgrade their moves, the highest being Level 4, and use a variety of new features such as Teleport Points and Updraft to traverse and manipulate the map. "One of the world's most iconic Japanese manga and anime franchises, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Super has achieved something truly exceptional in staying relevant and meaningful to the generation that grew up watching and reading it, whilst constantly engaging new and young audiences," said Vincent Wang, Head of PUBG Mobile Publishing at Tencent Games. "In addition to its multi-generational and international appeal, its famous theme of conquering challenges really resonates with PUBG Mobile and our players, and meant PUBG Mobile team really worked hard to make this one of the most impressive in-game brand collaborations."
Dragon Ball Super Cosmetics
Get ready for the multitude of Dragon Ball Super-themed outfits and items coming on July 14th, including special outfits featuring Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and the companions, Pilaf and Karin! There will be more to come later on in the partnership on August 11th, so players should keep their eyes peeled for more content.

( most definitely a sequel to this. )
Ox King was his second choice. He'd had lunch plans with him anyway, giving him an excuse to get away from Piccolo before he had to explain anything. But of course -- Uncle Raditz was there too. Not all uncommon, considering his mom was still a bit iffy about him hanging around their house whenever he was bored at being at his own since the whole fiasco upon him first arriving on Earth. Ox King seemed more welcoming, perhaps if only because he was Goku's brother, but no one was going to complain. It wasn't like Goku wasn't constantly visiting to scrounge for food whenever Chi Chi didn't feel like cooking, so a Sayain hanging around was nothing new at this point.
"Goten! Glad you could make it!" Ox King greeted heartily as Goten entered and promptly greeted him with a hug.
"Course! I wouldn't miss it!" Goten said merrily.
He was naturally enticed with the smell coming from the kitchen -- only being stopped by the fact Raditz was already puppy guarding the food that sat waiting on the stove. While sometimes an ass, Raditz at least had more manners than his father did and didn't outright take the food unless he was offered a plate, and would gladly wait for it much unlike his father. And hey, at least Goten finally understood where he got his sarcasm from, so that was a plus.
"Come here to beg for table scraps, too?" Raditz joked.
"Unlike you," Goten snorted, "I don't have to beg for my food."
"That's cause your mom actually knows how to cook!" Raditz huffed.
"Had to," Ox King chuckled as he grabbed a few plates from the cabinet, "with that Goku -- and you guys, too, I guess. Just glad to know it's a Sayain thing and just not a Goku thing."
Goten couldn't help but laugh alongside his uncle at that. He'd heard a few stories about the times before they knew where and why Goku had come to Earth, much less that he was a literal alien in human clothing. Bulma had even mentioned before they'd tried to get him to a doctor on numerous occasions to see if it wasn't some type of worm or parasite making him eat that much. But of course, his father hadn't been a very big fan of doctors and hospitals back then. It was just a genetic thing.
"Not that we're too picky anyway," Raditz said as they got their plates. "I remember one day shortly after Planet Vegeta was destroyed, Frieza didn't think to stock the ship with enough food for the whole crew and us three remaining Sayains. Me, Napa and Vegeta ended up eating it all in a day."
"Oh yeah, Sauza told me and Trunks about that!" Goten laughed. "I guess Cooler went for a visit that day and didn't believe it'd happened when Frieza told him, and made Sauza and Neiz and Doreen go check the stock room floor to ceiling to make sure there wasn't a mistake."
"Frieza was so pissed about Cooler not believing him," Raditz snorted, "and Cold was so pissed that he had to cover Frieza's ass cause his perfect little son didn't quite piece together that Sayains need a lot more food than anyone else and didn't stock up properly."
"Considering what I know about them," chortled Ox King as the two Sayains filled their plates, "I'm surprised Mr Smart Guy Frieza didn't think of that!"
"You'd be surprised how stupid smart people can be," Raditz laughed.
"You mean like dad?" asked Goten.
"I'm convinced you, your parents and your brother share two brain cells," laughed Raditz, "and your mom and brother are the only ones who get to use them." Goten laughed and --
"Hey!" Goten glared.
This made Raditz laugh harder. Ox King had to cover his mouth to keep himself from laughing, and quickly moved to busy himself with filling his plate.
Soon the three managed their way to the dining room table (albeit Goten going back to refinish plate before he even sat down) in order to enjoy their meals. Conversation was mild; his grandpa asking about every day stuff, how Gohan was fairing with the new baby and how he and Trunks we're doing in school. Raditz have the occasional input, question or joke but otherwise seemed so intent on his plate.
Yet Goten was doing his best to hide his shaking. Sure, his grandpa wouldn't actually care. He'd been alright with his daughter marrying Goku, so why wouldn't he be fine with his grandson being gay? It wasn't until there was a slight lull in the conversation when Goten found himself taking in a deep breath.
"You alright there?" asked Ox King curiously.
"Yeah, I just --" Goten sighed. "Could I -- I uhm --."
"Well, go on!" Raditz urged with a month full of food. "Quit your stuttering!"
"You would be too if you were trying to come out!" Goten huffed.
"As what? A circus preformer?"
"No, gay!"
There was a slight pause as both Raditz and Ox King started at him in mild shock.
"Oh, I, well," Ox King managed after a moment, before being cut off by Raditz.
"I knew it!" Raditz barked with laughter, causing Ox King and Goten to visibly jump.
"I -- excuse me?" Goten blinked.
"I knew you were gay!" Raditz laughed again. "Can't wait to tell Dodo he owes me twenty. Ha!"
"Excuse me?!" Goten said, now more forcefully. Raditz didn't seem to care as he lounged back in his chair.
"Dodoria and made a bet," he chuckled, "as to whether you were gay or bi. Looks like I was right."
"Your kidding," groaned Goten as he leaned back in his seat.
"I never kid about bets, kid," Raditz snickered. Goten rolled his eyes -- then squinted at his grandpa as the man started to chuckle.
"Well, it's good you felt safe enough to come out, son," Ox King said. "Tell me, do you have anyone in mind?"
Hesitantly, Goten shook his head. Raditz barked out another laugh.
"Liar!"
"Shut up," Goten whined as he continued to eat his food, "'fore I tell dad you were the one who ate all his drawer bacon."
"You wouldn't," Raditz dared, squinting. Goten raised his brow but continued eating. Raditz huffed and continued with his meal.
*So," Ox King started again, "have you told your parents yet?" Goten shook his head. "Oh, why's that?"
"Have you met mom?" Goten practically choked. "She'd probably loose her mind knowing I wouldn't give her any grandkids."
"How's that a problem?" Raditz asked. "This planet has -- what do you call it? -- adoption! That's right! It's not like Trunks couldn't just use his money to adopt a shit ton of kids, right? And he'd pay for your schooling, too! So it's a win win!"
"I know, I just --"
Goten straightened then, face turning a shade of red as it dawned on him what Raditz had been saying. Said Sayain was giving his nephew a shit eating grin at his reaction.
"So it is Trunks!" said Raditz as he pointed an accusatory finger at Goten, and getting a little food on the table in the process. "Haha! Of course! How romantic!"
"Shut up!" Goten whined as he tried to focus on his food again. Raditz merely snickered.
"Honestly, that'd be kind of ironic," chuckled Ox King, "if not beat some kind of social norm."
"How'd you mean?" Goten asked.
"Well, your Grandpa Bardock was a lower class Sayain back on Planet Vegeta, right?" Ox asked. Raditz nodded. "And Vegeta's dad is a king, right?" Both Goten and Raditz nodded. It was the first thing Vegeta announced to anyone, after all, being 'the Prince of all Sayains' and all. "Well," Ox King went on, "then it'd kind of be like your mom and dad. You know, the whole commoner marrying into royalty thing? Plus, I'd bet it'd make Vegeta and his dad rather mad at first cause, you know, Trunks wouldn't be marrying royalty. Not that that matters of course. Love is love, after all."
Goten nodded -- then squinted at Ox King.
"Don't tell me," he said slowly, "you think I'm going to get with Trunks, too?"
"Ok, I won't tell you, then," Ox King said matter of factly as he continued his meal.
Goten glared as Raditz nearly spit out his food in laughter. Oh, how he hated how right he wanted everyone to be.

was just trying to understand is all! sorry if I came off as rude
It's okay. Listen the thing is that it became such a popular joke that most people just simply can't see pass it.
The thing with Goku is that people will either claim he's the worst father ever or an excellent dad which is simply not true. Goku is a flawed character but he loves his family.
-First thing you see happening in Z is Goku protecting Gohan and sacrificing his own life to save his son.
- Then he comes back to life and guess what is the first thing he does? He protects his son again from Nappa.
- And when they go to Namek Goku isn't there because he had all his bones crushed last fight. When he gets there the first things he does is... that's right, he saves Gohan again.
- And then he barely escapes from an exploding planet and finds some cool aliens that help him recover and teach him a cool technique and he's is back to Earth some time later, like is not even that long.
- And during Cell's saga he fails to see that Gohan doesn't like fighting. He assumes Gohan is like him because Goku does have a tunnel vision when it comes to fighting. Piccolo calls him out of that and he immediately recognizes that he fucked up, intervenes and dies again. It's this enough to call him an awful dad? Not really, again he's flawed. And he never gives shit to Gohan for pursuing a different path. I think only Vegeta ever criticizes Gohan for that but that's Vegeta being Vegeta lol
- Then he specifically asks not to be revided because he blames himself for Earth being in constant danger (he doesn't know Chichi is pregnant again, they all have been busy training so the evil guy of the arc doesn't destroy the planet). Like is right here, the first reason he gives. Idk why people only hear the second one lol
youtube
- Goku gets his ass back to Earth for one goddam day and some evil guys show up and he has to fight them. Like this shit keeps happening it isn't even his fault.
-We don't get to see much about his time with Goten because you known being dead and all the shit that's constantly going on. And there's a time skip. But every time he's with Goten or Pan he's just acting adorably loving towards them.
- And now the infamous "he leaves with with Uub to train him". That I'll admit was terribly executed and it's really dumb considering he can teleport. But honestly just taking that little bit towards the end of the series is a bit unfair considering everything else.
- And there's dragon ball super. Super is...well, it does handle Goku well sometimes other times is terrible. But if I continue with super this will get way longer. I don't judge super the same way I do with dbz anyways. It's a different situation with it. He still has great family moments there tho.
- But that's it. Goku lives for fighting, he has it on his veins. He's not even human. He spent his childhood living in the forest by himself and he doesn't understand a lot about social conventions. He's a genius when it comes to fighting and bit of a dumbass handling people. He's not perfect, he's not awful. He sure fucking loves fighting but he also loves his family.
#okay#if you really want to understand there's plenty of people out there that probably will do a better job than me explaining it#if you don't wanna read all this garbage i don't blame you#and if you do then ignore my typos the same way I ignored them while writing this#ask

I rewatched Dragon Ball GT and the one thing I love about Dragon Ball GT is Goten and Vegeta interactions in the sub version. But before I start I just want to say Goten is 22 in GT and it's implied that the girl at beginning of DBGT is not Valese.
Anyway, despite Gohan saying that he will go with Goku, Vegeta was the one in the sub that suggested that Goten goes instead. The best part is that it is implied that he asked/talked with Chichi about it.
I just love his smirk while telling Goten that his mother agreed with Vegeta.
Then the next time we see them is in epispde 25. Vegeta was shaving his mustache and Goten was talking on the phone with Valese. They meet each other when Goten is about to go on a date. AND Vegeta, while smiling, asks Goten about his opinion, and Goten, not realising Vegeta shaved, just left. This made Vegeta doubt himself and when Bulma commented how he looked better without the mustache, he smiled, again. But then he saw Chichi and he got embarrassed. Vegeta was completely comfortable with smiling in front of Goten and asking him his opinion but he was incredibly embarrassed by Chichi who didn't even say a word. What's more, it seemed that Vegeta wasn't even aware that Chichi was at their house, meanwhile he didn't even question Goten being there despite Trunks being of to space.
And then we have Baby Gohan and Baby Goten vs Vegeta.
In the sub Vegeta said that he is going to blow baby away together with Kakarrot's son'.
Ok, side note: one of my pet peeves in Dragon Ball fanfiction is Vegeta calling Goten 'Kakarrot's son'. In the manga and the original Japanese dub of DBZ he called Goten 'Gohan's little brother'(which for whatever reason was changed to Kakarrot's son in eng dub only, every other version stayed with Gohan's little brother) and after that he called him Goten. The only times Vegeta even acknowledged Goten as Goku's son was directly to Goku when Goten fought Trunks and at the end of Z. Aside that I just want to remind people that Gohan had no clue Chichi was training Goten nor the fact that Goten and Trunks play fought meanwhile Vegeta didn't even hesitate to ask Trunks if Goten can turn SSJ as well nor ask who is stronger, knowing full well that Trunks has the answers. Also there seems to be a misconception of when Goten turned SSJ because of the eng dub. Goten did not turn SSJ because of his mother. That flashback was meant to show the time Chichi found out about it and she DID NOT call him a monster but a punk/delinquent.
Anyway back to GT, Vegeta didn't hesitate to say that he is fine with killing Gohan and Baby wasn't surprised nor did he thought of taking Gohan's body as hostage. Vegeta was about to kill Baby when Goten turned up. Vegeta told him to 'stay out of his way'. However, Goten went to Vegeta's side and said how that is clearly Gohan. And Vegeta only seemed midly annoyed at Goten for disregarding his orders. Vegeta put the arm with which he was threatening Baby with in front of Goten and in a non angry manner told him to stay back. Instead of finishing off Baby, Vegeta was more concerned with Goten being there.
What's more, when Vegeta realised Goten was controlled as well, he actually seemed worried.
I like the fact that Vegeta let his guard down with Goten enough to make him bleed while from the first moment he saw Gohan he didn't trust him.
Their interactions might be rare but I really do enjoy them. And I like the fact that DBS anime(in the manga Goten seems to barely exist), also sneaks in some interactions. Like when Vegeta watched Bulma exercise and Trunks realised how worried Vegeta was. Goten explained how the exercise will help Bulma and wasn't afraid of saying that Vegeta must be excited for the baby(crunchyroll translation are really off with DBS). While his pride was hurt a bit, he was not mad at them for their observations. He forbid them from training and told Trunks to go and finish the Bulla's bed. Or when Vegeta was completely comfortable with changing Bulla's diaper in front of Goten and Trunks and even seemed proud when they complimented him.
I like to think that Vegeta even after all the years and character development still isn't comfortable showing his caring side to people outside his family. With Goten being the exception because Goten is so often at their house that it would have been a hassle to constantly keep his tough guy persona in front him.

LOGIC vs EMOTIONS
This applies to everything but imma talk about the DB community.
Certain fans choose to go against logic because the internal emotional response is more gratifying for them. Examples would be...
"Goku is a bad father."
"Gohan is weak because he isn't murderous anymore."
"Piccolo is Gohan's real father."
"Krillin is a coward."
"Chi-Chi is the worst mom."
"Vegeta is the best father."
"18 doesn't love Krillin."
"Yamcha cheated on Bulma."
These are emotional responses to justify what they want or wish was true. Now here's the facts...
Goku spent more time with Gohan than Vegeta did with Trunks. Goku has died for Gohan twice. He tries to spend as much time as he can with his sons when he isn't dead. Too many examples that Goku is a good father.
Gohan has controlled his rage & gained more power & confidence. A calm mind and confidence allows for better control of his power and better understanding so he can keep improving.
Piccolo's more of a brother to Gohan that went from cruel to kind. Ppl ignore that Piccolo abused Gohan at first when he was still evil. Goku never abused his sons.
Krillin's the most courageous character 'cause bravery in the face of fear is courage. Krillin is often not strong enough to defeat the enemy, yet he does everything in his power to help and save others. Gohan is a lot like Krillin, except Gohan has Saiyan blood so he is able to overpower his enemies.
Chi-Chi is a loving mother who wanted to keep her child safe when young Gohan was forced to fight murderous adults. She helped Gohan achieve his dream of becoming a scholar. She even saw the importance of fighting after Goku died and she trained Goten how to fight. A wonderful mother.
Best DB fathers are Gohan & Krillin. I would say that Goku is right after them. The more human characters make better fathers because they don't have Saiyan traits. Vegeta was a terrible father that developed into a decent parent once he became more "human." (Stop taking his development away Vegeta "fans")
There's too much evidence to show how much 18 loves Krillin! I would be here all day if I covered allof it. But, there's the story of DBFZ in which 18 & Krillin were constantly concerned for each other, the fact 18 found Krillin attractive first & kissed him, 18 thinks Krillin is cool (she says so herself), & the fact 18 mentions her days are filled with happiness of being with Krillin & Marron, ect.
More evidence shows that Bulma would be more likely to cheat. Depending on your definition, she has "cheated" (emotionally). Toriyama said that Yamcha is still nervous around women and even lost a job because of his phobia. Realistically, they just broke up again. Then, Bulma made her mistake with Vegeta & lied to Trunks to make him think better of his parents.
People who are mainly led by their emotions usually refuse to admit or believe fact & logic, because it doesn't give them a feeling of superiority. Or they would rather believe lies than believe truth (applies to many ppl). Lies give emotional responses that validate these ppl. Makes sense.
The opposite are the "logical" ppl. These ppl are actually led by a balance of logic & emotion. They see the truth for what it is & accept it while being able to have the emotional reaction within themselves that they desire. "Logical" ppl can acknowledge flaws in the characters they like, while "emotional" ppl deny the obvious flaws.
Emotions are responsive to logic. Meaning that "emotional" ppl have flawed logic, while "logical" ppl have emotions that reflect accurate thinking. Emotions aren't bad to have.
Applying this to the DB fandom would be like this...
EMOTIONAL: "Chi-Chi should DIE! I want Goku to be with Bulma instead, so I'm going to spread lies about Chi-Chi for validation."
LOGICAL: "No, Vegeta is not the kindest guy, but he did develop a lot. Don't spread lies."
I find it hilarious (& sad) how so many ppl enjoy being wrong & want others to be wrong with them. I guess misery does love company.
And the Emotionally Logical ppl are the ones that are looked down upon by most of the fandom? Interesting.
Majority of DB Fandom:
illogical >> logical 🙃

Gohan for the character ask!
Give me a character and I will answer:
Why I like them: I think the main appeal of Gohan is that he’s constantly being pulled in two directions. You can interpret those two opposing forces however you please: Saiyan vs. Earthling, Chi-Chi vs. Goku, fighter vs. scholar, etc. But I think it’s a pretty relatable dilemma.
What’s also relatable is that Gohan tries to blaze his own trail, even as he works hard to satisfy everyone’s expectations of him. The moral of his story is that it’s not always easy to find your own path. It sounds liberating, but it also means you’re on your own.
Why I don’t: Very early on, I was frustrated with Gohan being such a major player in DBZ when it didn’t seem like he was qualified for the role. It took me a while to recognize how important his “hidden” power was to the story. That, and the fact that the good guys usually only ever involved him in a battle because they had no other options. I think it’s interesting that Gohan maintains such a low profile during the Androids/Cell arc, so when he finally gets tapped to fight Cell at the end, it’s treated like a huge plot twist. It’s ironic, because Gohan was so instrumental in defeating Vegeta, and if he had beaten Frieza on Namek, I don’t think anyone would have been shocked. As it is, he was built up to be the guy who would beat Majin Buu, and everyone’s still mad that he lost.
For a time, I was frustrated that Gohan was technically the strongest character at the end of the Buu Saga, even though Goku was the main guy. It just felt wrong somehow, and I’ve seen enough “Mystic Gohan vs. SSJ3 Goku” threads on the internet to know that a lot of people used denial to cope with it.
None of this really made me dislike the character, though. I think most of the hand-wringing about Gohan is just a side-effect of that tug-of-war he’s been in his whole life. Some fans want to see him kick ass, some want to see him settle down and be a student/family man/scholar. Super tried to play it both ways by having Gohan be out of shape and then suddenly get good after a crash course with Piccolo. It seemed like half the fans were happy to see that and half were upset. Personally, I liked that approach better than how they handled him in GT, where he dressed like a nerd in church but could still throw down with Vegeta. He used SSJ1 the whole time, so what happened to the Elder Kai power up? GT just shrugged and hoped no one would care.
For my part, I think it makes sense for Gohan to try to balance fighting and academia and family life. Team Four Star made a lot of hay out of the idea that Gohan hates fighting, full stop, but I don’t totally buy that. Gohan may not enjoy fighting for his life, or killing people, but I think he’s cool sparring with his family, for example. But he can’t just throw himself into it like the others, so he’s got to train hard to keep up, and then he has to work hard at his ill-defined job, and then he has to be a good parent. That’s the character. Goku can be carefree, but Gohan has a lot of responsibilities.
I do sort of wish they would focus on that balancing act, since that’s what Gohan’s all about. Super only did it long enough to spackle over a plot hole. “Frieza beat him in one hit, so how’s he going to do any good in the Tournament of Power? Oh, Piccolo worked him over for a while, so he’s back in shape now.” It’s not enough, and I think this is why some fans argue over the dilemma instead of appreciating the dilemma. It’s a feature, not a bug.
Favorite episode (scene if movie):
Gohan just dismantling Cell is the standard by which I judge all wrestling grudges. The reason WWE sucks is that they’ll have the bad guy Perfect Cell all over the place for months, and then they fuck up the part where the good guy is supposed to turn SSJ2 and dole out sweet, sweet consequences. If all you know how to do is the first half of the formula, then... well, I’m cancelling my WWE Network subscription, I guess. I forgot where this analogy was heading.
Point is, Gohan’s an awesome moment factory. Take a look.
You can’t go wrong.
Favorite season/movie: Cell Games, let’s be honest.
Favorite line: When he calls Super Buu a r-- hahaha, no. I’m actually thinking of the part in the Funimation dub when Cell starts to panic. In Japan, the narrator explains Cell’s fear, and in Latin America it was meme fuel, but in the U.S., Gohan reminds Cell that he warned him about this.
“What are you so afraid of Cell? Isn't this what you wanted? I warned you! I told you what would happen if you pushed me too far! But you didn't listen! You forced me to awaken my hidden power! And now that you've seen it, you're afraid...because you know that I'm going to destroy you!”
It’s a brilliant bit of work, because you can’t see Gohan’s face in the shot, so he can be the one to point out what the narrator says in all the other versions. They all compliment each other so well. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for Brickshitting Cell.
Favorite outfit:
It’s a tough call, but Casual Friday Great Saiyaman is a killer look, and one of the few Gohan outfits that isn’t based on some other thing. Let’s be real because I am keeping it real: Videl only wanted to unmask Great Saiyaman because she saw his outfit and could not stop thinking about how hot he’d look if he ditched the helmet and cape and wore sunglasses instead.
OTP: Videl. Well, Gohan and Videl. Godel? Vihan? None of these sound right. He should stick with the lady he made a baby with, is what I’m saying.
Brotp: Krillin literally calls him bro throughout the Namek arc, so I think this one wins by default. On the other hand, Goten is literally Gohan’s brother, so I guess that can’t be ignored.
Personally, I think of Piccolo more as a brother figure to Gohan than a father figure, since he’s only a few years older than him, so maybe that’s my answer, but whatever.
Head Canon: I think Gohan is disillusioned with outer space after having traveled to another planet and finding only death and horror. It’s kind of tragic that this is a kid who should be totally into space and spaceships and he should be telling space facts to everyone who will listen, but that probably stopped being fun after Namek.
Unpopular opinion: He was never going to be the main character of DBZ. I think even Toei was hoping for some sort of torch-passing thing, but it never materialized, and Gohan only took the reins because Goku was too dead or Vegeta was too evil to do it instead. And Gohan never really wanted to be the main character anyway. I look at him and see a guy who’s totally happy to be the overlooked son of this pop culture phenomenon. He sees his dad’s parade float and he’s just super-thrilled to see his dad in baloon form. There’s no sense of “If only I was better at this, and then I could have my own parade baloon!” That’s Vegeta.
A wish: Pay Bruce Faulconer whatever he wants and use “Gohan Fights Frieza” in the next anime where Gohan kicks somebody’s ass. Also, make a new anime where Gohan kicks somebody’s ass.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: You know, one of these years, some official DBZ story is going to be made where they decide to “get serious” and have Gohan say a bunch of “cathartic” stuff to Goku, calling him a terrible father or some other horseshit. Like how DC brought back Jason Todd just to have him bitch at what a crappy parent Batman is. Again, I hope I’m safely cremated before that happens, but so many pompous dopes are gonna gush about a hacky moment like that, and go on their YouTube vlogs to say “it’s about time!”
5 words to best describe them: Gohan Fights Frieza Dot mp3.
My nickname for them: I... don’t really have one? Do people nickname fictional characters? I didn’t know that was a thing.

Why Tashigi Deserves More Respect
I really gotta remember these other things I plan on writing XD Often I get reminded though by people around me criticizing something I realise ‘that’s a little misunderstood’ and then get compelled to write about it. For today we’re looking at the female Marine of One Piece, Tashigi. Now before we start, I want to make a point that Tashigi is still an underused character brimming with potential that Oda seems to shy a lot from. Oda can still sincerely do a lot more with her and I for one have been disappointed by her lack of use in Stampede and lack of appearance in Wano. However, I get a lot of people who feel that Tashigi is ‘useless’, and I’m going to say that this isn’t really the case.
Argument 1: Her Battles
Of course, a lot of strength regarding a character comes with their ability to come out victorious. It can harm any character in a show to constantly be on the losing side of a fight and it does hurt Tashigi (and Smoker) a lot that they do end up that way. While I would love Tashigi to have her first clean win since those guys in Loguetown I’d like to remind you that Tashigi’s fights do have a bit of defense to them, let’s look at all of Tashigi’s named opponents
Zoro (Loguetown) - We always knew that Zoro was winning this, while she was bested by Zoro the purpose of the story wasn’t ever going to be Tashigi being stronger, instead this was Zoro having to confront her similarities with Kuina in personality rather than skill.
Nico Robin/Miss All Sunday (Alabasta) - While Tashigi was unable to even strike Robin back in Alabasta, Robin’s devil fruit allowed her to be perfect for such a situation. A trained and deadly assassin, Tashigi’s physical confrontation was never going to succeed, but what was key to this battle was Tashigi’s realization in regards to the failure of Justice. In the end she had to rely on Luffy to defeat the Pirates the WG had assigned to maintain the balance.
Luffy (Marineford/Punk Hazard) - Luffy and Tashigi briefly crossed paths in Marineford, Luffy swiftly dodged her but again, Tashigi was never going to defeat Luffy and was merely a doorway to put Smoker and Luffy into a fight. It’s also worth reminding that Tashigi must’ve been capable enough to hold her own against Whitebeard’s lesser forces, since she was uninjured from Marineford. They also crossed at Punk Hazard, but then they were both weakened by being in unfamiliar bodies, something which Luffy even acknowledges.
Trafalgar Law (Punk Hazard) - as pictured above, Tashigi’s defeat to Law was another gateway for Smoker to enter the fight, but this one had more purpose in showing Tashigi’s willpower, which we will get to. As you can tell, there’s a theme: Tashigi would never have beaten Law in terms of the narrative, why do we hold it against Tashigi that she lost to the guy who later did this?
Ceasar Clown (Punk Hazard) - while listed as a fight, she fell the same way as Robin and Franky due to his DF being unrevealed, again this being a gateway to sell that Ceasar had a danger to him, I wouldn’t actually count it as a fight.
Vergo (Punk Hazard) - the Donquixote spy is one of Doflamingo’s deadliest subordinates. The original Corazon, Tashigi’s conflict with Vergo brought Sanji into the fight and once again highlighted to Tashigi the corruption within the Marines themselves. Like Law (and the next), we can’t be too harsh on Tashigi losing to Vergo, the guy easily fended off Sanji to the point of almost breaking Sanji’s leg, he also was able to beat Smoker
Monet (Punk Hazard) - Monet is a mixed one, because Zoro quickly defeats her she was quickly overshadowed by the fact that she struggled to even get on the offensive, broadening the gap between them. But, I’d like to remind everyone that Monet was able to force Luffy into fleeing their battle and was handling Robin, Nami and Chopper at once. Tashigi hadn’t completely lost either, I would bet that she’d fight without an arm, maybe not successfully but she would, and she got the finishing blow on Monet - her second offensive attack against Monet put her away and while technically this doesn’t count as a W for Tashigi she did not technically lose in this fight either
As you can see, while it’s easy to say that ‘Tashigi never wins her fights, so she’s weak’ it really undermines the opposition she willingly puts herself against. Narratively there’d be no reason for Tashigi to win these fights, doing so would lead to confusion and disbelief (for instance, would you have seen Luffy beating Kaido solo back in Bakura Town? No, obviously). Tashigi is still strong, she’s able to survive the Grand Line, easily deflect cannon fire with her sword and use Haki, the latter cannot be said for Main Characters like Nami, Chopper, Franky, Carrot and somehow Robin (like girl you spent 2 years with the Revolutionaries, where’s your Haki?). While we would love a win to validate this, Oda always puts her against an opponent that would be difficult for her to win against, and we thus mistake her inability to win as weakness. So that leads to another argument. Argument 2: Tashigi always punches above her weight While this is very much true, One Piece has often told us that being the strongest doesn’t always mean that you will win. Consider 90% of Nami and Usopp’s wins, Luffy’s wins over Crocodile, Enel, Lucci, Magellan, Cracker and Katakuri, the weak may not be able to choose how they die but that doesn’t mean that the strong can either. I’d also like to argue that Tashigi’s motive on fighting strong opponents is not because she feels that she is stronger, she fights them because they are the enemy that needs to be stopped, her motives are pure in her pursuit of justice just as the Straw Hats fight stronger opponents because it fulfills a just cause such as saving Alabasta, their crewmates, people who had their shadows stolen, Camie, Fishman Island, the Punk Hazard children, Dressrosa, Zou or Wano. Tashigi really gets criticized for it because it doesn’t yield the results it does for major characters, often needing help to get the victory. In that I wanna point out a harsh truth as well; Goku - the people many anime fans will compare power scales against - almost never beats the main villain on his own in DBZ or DBS. Freeza - required damage from Krillin, Gohan, Vegeta and Piccolo before the win, and he didn’t finish him off, Cell - tags out to Gohan, who also needs Vegeta’s help to win, Buu - needs Vegeta’s help via fusion and a full power recharge by the Dragon Balls, Beerus - he lost, Golden Freeza - he got jumped by Sorbet and needed Whis’ rewind, Hit - he gave up, Fused Zamasu - lost, and needed Zeno to wipe him out, Jiren - needed Freeza and 17′s help and Vegeta’s energy and finally Broly - needed fusion. So maybe, if even Son Goku cannot win on his own, we can cut Tashigi a little bit of slack given that she’s not even a main character.
Argument 3: ‘She does nothing’ I don’t really like this insinuation. Often Smoker and Tashigi are the ones that pick up the mess after all the enemies are defeated, but for some reason that equates to ‘doing nothing’. I think because people see Tashigi as interchangeable with any other character she is thus useless because she is not mandatory. However, Tashigi’s role is much more complex than that.
Even if she’s not strong enough to fight the biggest fishes in the pond, she still manages to grow and prove her worth. If Tashigi was replaced with any generic marine captain a lot of what happened would be different. It was Tashigi who identified Wado Ichimonji and Sandai Kitetsu for Zoro, Tashigi who (albeit reluctantly) directed Luffy to Crocodile, Tashigi who kept the Straw Hats safe from arrest in Alabasta, Tashigi who convinced Smoker that he needed to swallow his pride and side with Law and Luffy to stop Ceasar and it was Tashigi who convinced Nami to entrust the Punk Hazard children to them. Through her experiences she also cultivates her own unique sense of Justice. While she follows Smoker’s doctrine of ‘A Pirate will always be a Pirate’ and that the Shichibukai system and the World Government as a whole is flawed, she has also learned for herself that there are times that pride must be set aside, in a way Tashigi’s sense of Justice has become a combination of Smoker’s and Fujitora’s: in order to rebuild justice, the navy itself must become strong enough to not depend on pirates, but pride cannot supersede the greater good. In addition, implying she does nothing also implies that she doesn’t practice her own sense of justice either. She stepped in on Zoro twice to protect her men from harm, before even arriving at Punk Hazard we learned that she had a good relationship with the parents who had their children kidnapped as they asked specifically for her which in turn led her to personally strive to reunite the children with their parents and she even protected the truth of Vergo from G-5 so that they didn’t feel betrayed and demoralized. Of the things Tashigi does, nothing is not one of them, she displays compassion, fairness and determination in definitive moments. Argument 3: She’s too hung up on her Feminism
So, one of the major dynamics of Tashigi and Zoro is her misconception that Zoro wouldn’t cut her because she was a woman, a belief that women have to prove themselves more to be seen as strong against men being one of the beliefs she shares with Zoro’s childhood rival Kuina. While it can be a tad irksome that she’d hang onto this with Zoro, until Monet Zoro never actually demonstrated the contrary to her. This is mainly a complaint by hindsight, we only dislike the opinion because we’ve seen Zoro more than Tashigi has, and she’s not 100% wrong, Zoro himself has been a bit of a traditionalist, in Skypeia he angrily chastised Enel for attacking Robin since she was a woman, and he only does step in on Monet to save Tashigi - not even finishing her off despite being very capable of doing so. Outside of Zoro, Tashigi’s feelings that she gets treated differently due to her gender is proven and reflected in how G-5 treat her with little authority, only really listening to her because she’s pretty. You can’t be too hard on Tashigi given that she is constantly faced with this truth on a daily basis, and her desire to be seen for her strength and skills are still an amicable one, it’s worth noting that even Law recognized that her mentality and warrior’s spirit was far greater than he swordsmanship, but he only thought this internally. In Tashigi’s case it would help her confidence to be given validation, and not in the condescending way Zoro usually talks to people. While it can be annoying that she immediately thinks that she’s being treated differently because she’s a woman, this also shows that she wants to be treated as an equal; if she is defeated in combat she wants to be cut to preserve her honour, it is the mentality all Great Samurai have, including Zoro. Oda does something with Tashigi he rarely does with any woman in One Piece in making her less sexualised and body-confident to reflect her goal of being recognized by her spirit and actions rather than her appearance, but he also makes that complex for the character which in a way this is most important for.
Argument 4: She’s not a good Rival for Zoro
I think one of the biggest misconceptions about Tashigi’s character is that she is meant to be Zoro’s rival, in a similar manner to how Smoker and Luffy are embroiled in a Garp/Roger-esque cat and mouse chase. Because of this, people expect Tashigi to advance at a similar scale to Zoro to keep him on his toes, to make sure that he doesn’t end up complacent in his strive to become the World’s Greatest Swordsman. Her former likeness to Kuina also adds to this misconception, since because Kuina was Zoro’s rival with the same goal and always stronger than Zoro himself, Tashigi must be similar.
But this is not why Tashigi and Zoro are always put together. Tashigi is not Zoro’s rival, no other character we’ve met has the same goal as Zoro, and this keeps his story free to develop with different challenges. Tashigi’s pursuit of strength is not for the same reasons as Zoro, she doesn’t want to be the World’s Greatest Swordsperson, she only wants to protect the sanctity of the Meito and keep them out of unworthy hands. Her pursuit of Zoro was both because he dishonoured her in their fight and so she could claim Wado Ichimonji. In the New World however we don’t see that as much from Tashigi, even when she sees Shusui she doesn’t make a point to declare taking it from him because he’s unworthy (like Kin’emon would later do), this is because she does acknowledge his strength and worthiness of using these Meito, her personal conflict now though is to be seen as worthy to him as a swordsperson rather than a pirate to a marine. In reality, Tashigi is instead Zoro’s and Kuina’s foil. She is similar in looks and perspective to Kuina but different in everything else from clumsiness, skill and ambition, the fact that Zoro struggles to handle this leads to the two becoming entwined in their respective journeys. No person gets under Zoro’s skin like Tashigi does, even to a point where he was reluctant to even be in eyeshot of her - how many people have you seen Roronoa Zoro hide from? They are each other’s foil because they are both stubborn people out to prove something but put on two different sides that conflict. That is the true purpose of their dynamic, their confrontations expose one another and show places where they can still grow and I still feel that we haven’t scratched the surface of this relationship.
Argument 5: She’s not Important
A combination of the earlier arguments, Tashigi gets a lot of flack because people think she’s not important enough as a character to have the screentime she gets. While it’s not hard to see why people feel that, it usually comes with people giving up on the idea that there’s a greater plan for her. It may just be me, but I am reluctant to believe that Tashigi appears in several forms of merchandise including calendars, games (as NPCs, Bosses, Supports or playable characters) and even figurines and not have a purpose in the greater scope of the story, do we really expect that from Oda? I doubt that very much! Granted, Wano would’ve been a perfect placement for her to push herself given the views on women in the country and it being the homeland of famous Meito. And yes, she could’ve had a much greater role in Stampede given how well they managed Smoker in it. We are allowed to be disappointed by this, but the fact that Tashigi has remained as consistent in presence as she has been in the show does hint at a bigger role, even if it’s being that wave of revolutionizing the Marines with Coby and Fujitora, her own origins or finally proving herself to the audience and to Zoro, Tashigi is not done and thus she is still important. “Just because they say a bird cannot fly, doesn’t mean that it never will” - Oda SBS 17 on Tashigi and Kuina’s names being named after flightless birds So, Why does Tashigi deserve more Respect? Tashigi as a character is one of Oda’s more subtle progressions. In contrast to Zoro who we see grow, we don’t see how Tashigi gets from A to B, we can also contrast to Coby whose rise becomes as magnificent as his puberty that Tashigi’s growth is much less abrupt and more steady, we see her struggles more than we do Coby where his successes are only heard in passing. Tashigi can also act as the ‘normal person’ in the marines, we compare her to Zoro in strength because she uses a sword but we never give her the benefit of the doubt that Roronoa Zoro is a bloody superhuman, plus not everyone has the great luxury of being trained by Dracule Mihawk for 2 years...furthermore, her challenges against Devil Fruit users are always filled with good intentions and strong willpower, but still self-doubt and shame, if anything Tashigi is one of the most human characters of One Piece for this reason; she learns, she suffers, she grows and she does it all without the luxury of Shonen perks such as superhuman power or endurance. Also she is a good person, she has a strong sense of morality and will, an altruistic desire and even in the situation she gets put in she makes a step that leads to the plot going in a positive direction. And for a character that has been in as many arcs as she has, there is still so much potential left to be untapped that fans are still after 2 decades eager to see from her.
Tashigi is a strong, valiant and just person, who is still really powerful if people stop trying to compare her to the likes of Luffy, Law and Zoro. Even when she fails she picks herself up and can still come out with a small victory from protecting innocents, arresting criminals and escorting children to get help. She is a lot stronger than people give her credit for and it’s for that she deserves respect.

Lily’s Post about Mary Sues
Let’s analyze this.
None of those series you mentioned have characters that could be labelled as Mary Sues
Clark Kent, Goku, Luke, Anakin, Kirk.
Okay, a Mary Sue or Gary Stu has to be, basically, either an author avatar or stand-in, they tend to be beautiful or really handsome, have unusual, or dramatic backtories, are “chosen one” types, all of the main characters in the group will love them or admire them and those that don’t are always portrayed as in the wrong for not doing so, this kind of thing. They tend to be overpowered as well and they possess unique, special powers. They’ve basically overpowered, over-idealized, beloved by anybody and if you DON’T like them, you’re clearly in the wrong. Oh, and everything they do is treated as good, and if they DO screw up, hey, it’s no big deal. Any actual flaws are negligible or nonexistent. Like being “Naive” or wearing their heart on their sleeve.
Let’s take a look at...Superman. Well, he’s got several big weaknesses. Kryptonite, for one. And Magic. HUGELY weak against magic. He IS overpowered and he is mostly beloved by everyone...but he has made a LOT of mistakes. Especially when it comes to Batman. Whenever Batman is involved in a story with him, it’s Batman who’s right, and Superman who’s in the wrong. Pretty much all the time. “Darkseid is dead, Superman.” “You know what Bruce? You’re not always right!” But Batman WAS right, at least technically. Batman regularly beats Superman in several stories. So Clark isn’t always treated as right. On top of that, he does have some real character flaws of constantly being torn between wanting to do more and being afraid of how far he should go. And when you have GODLY strength, that’s a huge exploit, especially for supervillains. But...he does fill a lot of the Mary Sue tropes, so we’ll give Lily some credit.
Goku? Well Goku is a moron. The story always treats his stupidity as being a huge problem. One that CONTINUES to cause issues, and has even nearly gotten his world destroyed a few times. He’s even gotten himself and his friends KILLED cuz he couldn’t think of any other way but to sacrifice himself or the like. AND he has serious anger issues. When he’s furious, he’s almost uncontrollable. The only person more so is Vegeta. He’s also a pig who eats too much but we can sorta overlook that last one because being a glutton is played more for laughs and “He needs it to keep up his strength”. How about his powers? Well he’s DEFINITELY overpowered. Is he handsome? Well, he looks pretty good. And he’s well-liked by pretty much the whole main cast except for, of course, the villains. So we could say...yeah. Goku’s kinda Mary Sue-ish.
Luke? Well...not really. Luke isn’t naturally gifted or talented like Goku or Superman were. Despite having the POTENTIAL to be great, his Jedi skills started out so poor he couldn’t even block blaster bolts using the force alone. He had to train for weeks if not months under Yoda just to get somewhat up to snuff and he STILL failed. “Don’t go into that cave with your weapons”. He goes in. Sees Darth Vader and...oh, wait, it’s HIMSELF he’s killed! You were put to the test and you failed. He can’t lift large objects with the Force. He’s reckless, he doesn’t think things through and he often has to rely on help from OTHERS to succeed. He only got that one-in-a-million shot on the Death Star because Obi Wan’s ghost spoke to him in his head to help guide him. He only got away from the first Death Star because Obi Wan sacrificed himself. Throughout the first two films, he’s just not good enough. He loses to Darth Vader MISERABLY, and he even loses his HAND. A real Mary Sue would have won, or at least held Darth Vader off, or tied. Worse still, he’s not just dangerously reckless and kind of whiny...he’s got a serious anger problem that rises up in the films, he almost outright gives in to the dark side. But other than that, he’s just some country bumpkin who happened to luck out at finding the right droid. All his powers, he basically earned, showing a classic heroes’s journey growth. So that, combined with the huge failures in the first few movies and even if we factor in the sequels and the stupid, dumb decisions he made...he’s not a Mary Sue. A Mary Sue wouldn’t f--k up that much. Or if they did, it wouldn’t be treated as his own fault, or as a bad thing. It’d be brushed off.
Anakin! OHHH boy. This guy is a whiny little brat. I don’t know if people realize this, but...Lily, NOBODY LIKED ANAKIN. Anakin was unlikable BECAUSE he was a Mary Sue. You DO realize this, right? He was overpowered, treated as the chosen one, and he was super whiny at that. But you know what? At least the story treated him doing awful stuff as the wrong thing. Him being reckless? A bad thing. He should listen to Obi Wan more. Him casually killing someone through the back in the Clone Wars? A bad thing, he could have just knocked the guy out or cut his arm or hand off, what he did was murder. Anakin murdering the entire tribe of Sand People that kidnapped his mom, leading to her death? Shown as a VERY bad thing because he slaughtered ALL of them, even women and children. Anakin becoming Sith and killing kids? SUPER bad thing.
So at the very least, him doing morally reprehensible things is treated as genuinely bad. At least the story calls him out on this.
Kirk? Uh, Kirk is just a random human. He’s not exactly super strong or super intelligent. He’s clever and he’s fairly skilled in combat, and he’s definitely good looking, but he’s no ‘chosen one’ like so many of the others. Has he got flaws? Yeah, he’s got a temper. And he flagrantly disregards the rules. And he DEFINITELY is something of a skirt chaser. But he’s not exactly overpowered enough to be considered a Mary Sue. He hasn’t GOT enough powers at all to be counted as one. Plus, when you consider how he died? A real Mary Sue would get a far better and more dramatic death, if they died at all. So Kirk? Ahhh, not really. He’s not a Mary Sue. He’s just not powerful enough to be one and he’s no chosen one.
But your characters? Well, let’s see. Rey is a chosen one. So is Aliana. And Aliana is descended from a LONG LINE of superpowerful Sith. She’s basically “old money”. It runs in the blood. Pretty Mary Sue right there. They’re overpowered? Yep. Very. They easily beat the crap out of Kylo Ren. Do all the main characters like them? Yeah. And any that don’t are always treated as wrong, like Leia, or enemies, like Kylo Ren. They fit the definitions to a T.
can never be wrong
“So are a lot of characters in popular culture”
Except that’s not true. Superman, as I’ve shown, has been wrong quite a lot, especially when arguing against Batman, or Wonder Woman. Superman having to kill three Kryptonians who had did a literal genocide of an alternate Earth was portrayed as VERY wrong and it haunted him for years and years. Anakin was VERY, VERY wrong. The minute you do mass murder, you kinda instantly become wrong. Kirk ends up being very wrong in the final film he’s in. He doesn’t want to leave his heavenly alternate reality, it’s PICARD who has to convince him to stop being selfish. Goku is stupidly wrong when dealing with Cell, he really screws up and it gets his mentor and a few of his friends killed because he couldn’t think of a better way to get rid of the about-to-explode Cell than to teleport him to King Kai’s moon. He could have just teleported him, say, the serpent bridge, THEN teleported back if he really thought the explosion was gonna be so big it’d take out the entire world but...nope! Then there’s how he handled Majin Buu. He THINKS he doesn’t have to use fusion with his son. After all, Majin Buu has just lost a ton of power! He and his son can beat him normally...then Majin Buu catches him off guard and claims his son. Nice going, Goku, he was weak and instead of doing what everyone told you to do, you whiffed because you assumed you could handle it. And then there was his whole “Okay Vegeta, you finish off Frieza while he’s all Golden”. Big mistake. Frieza does a self-destructive attack that BLOWS UP THE ENTIRE WORLD and Whis has to literally TURN. BACK. TIME to fix this. Thanks, Goku. You COULDA just finished Frieza off like you did last time, but noooo! You had to indulge your friend’s ego. Luke? Luke’s been wrong a ton of times. Even if we ignore the sequels and the stupid way he handled Kylo Ren and hiding off on some podunk island, he ignored Yoda’s advice multiple times, he took off to fight Darth Vader, and he lost miserably.
Basically, every time these people do something wrong...it is, for the most part, TREATED as the wrong move by the story. That’s NOT the case for Aliana or Rey. Casually killing a guard for harassing a refugee? Cold blooded murder? Not portrayed as wrong. Overkill of guards at Canto Bight? Not even REMOTELY called out, nor the whole “mass forced suicide” thing. Killing Rey’s parents in cold blood when they were unarmed? Barely glanced over. What’s portrayed as wrong was keeping that a secret, not the MURDER thing. SHOOTING LEIA WITH ELECTRICITY? Not even REMOTELY treated as going too far.
are always victims
“Can’t imagine why a woman who suffers from PTSD writes characters who have suffered trauma in their lives. It’s a fucking mystery.”
You realize though this makes Aliana an author-avatar/stand in though, and that enforces the whole “she’s a Mary Sue” thing, right?
and bend the narrative to suit their needs
“If they were villains you wouldn’t complain about it this insessantly.”
But they’re NOT villains. When a story has a hero doing this, even when it has a villain doing this, that’s bad writing. Having Leia reasonably point out the fact that the Republic has every good reason to not trust a Sith and Aliana can’t just bully them into going along with everything she wants...and then having Aliana just SPONTANEOUSLY summon her own WAR FLEET to go “Sword of Damocles” on Leia and the Republic? That’s bad writing. It comes out of nowhere, no build up, and exists ONLY to tell Leia and anybody who has a problem with how Aliana’s doing things to SHUT UP I’M IN CHARGE. It’s bullying, bad writing.
Also, those other characters mentioned have other characters who will call out people like Luke or Kirk if they mess up. And Luke and Kirk or Goku will go “Yeah, you’re right, I should listen to you” and they have to change...or at least say they’ll try to. Does anybody in your story do that? Well...no. Because ANY objection to how Rey or Aliana does things is treated as BAD and WRONG because they’re the main characters, and thus everything they do is right, even if it’s morally repulsive and if ANOTHER character shot lightning at a middle-aged woman for a nasty comment, they’d be the bad guy.
Anyway, said my piece. Lily really has absolutely no self-reflection on this. She can’t handle actual criticism. All this is is DEFLECTION and PIVOTING away from your own story’s problems. It’s very easy to crow about how popular your work is when you dismiss and delete all actual critique and criticism.

Just discovered your blog today and am enjoying it immensely. I do have some questions about which is more "valid" between the DBS anime and manga though. The manga at least on a surface level has a tighter adherence to the manga's continuity, such as the lack of Gregory, no showing the Trunks' first SS transformation from the anime version of his past, and the SS Caulifla and Kale fusion churning out a SS fusion, which would seem to be what Old Kai meant when warning Goku and Vegeta 1/2
“2/2 But those are ultimately minor I suppose and perhaps they have explanations like "Trunks wasn't transforming for the first time in the Super flashback". I'm not a Toyo stan by any stretch and can't stand how he butchered my boi GOATku among other things but it seems like the manga would be just as valid/canonical as the anime. Toriyama works closely with Toyo as with the anime team and calls the manga a continuation. Sorry if this has been asked before, and keep up the good work“
Well first and foremost, welcome. Glad you’re enjoying this blog. As for the question, I’ve touched on it before, but I’ll dip into it again. There’s definitely a bit more of a hierarchy than people want to admit, at least in terms of which would be “more canon” when it comes to the mediums of Super. To that end, I like to look at continuity, characterization, and lead platform. See, the thing about Super, as it stands, is that it was never meant to have an ongoing manga. At all. It was written, conceived, and meant to be an anime series with Toriyama’s involvement. The “manga”, as it were, was originally meant solely to be a preview/promotional series for said anime, something to hint at things to come. That’s why the Beerus arc is so short and rushed. When it came to the Resurrection F arc, however, that was when Toyotaro pitched the idea of letting him turn the series into an actual, full-fledged series, something Toriyama was ok with more or less because it meant that at least he wouldn’t have to draw it, and because he was interested in seeing how the anime and manga writers respectively would adapt his storyline ideas. In that sense, the anime was the original, intended medium and means by which the series was meant to be carried forward, hence why I would consider that the lead platform. Beyond that, let’s look at continuity. Truth be told, neither manga nor anime are 100% flawless in it, making references to things that were filler in the name of comedy, or simply forgetting or ignoring a detail or two from the past. But even in cases of references to filler, I’d argue that they don’t INHERENTLY represent continuity errors per se, as they don’t directly contradict events depicted, and on occasion don’t even necessarily indicate that the exact filler events actually happened; in some cases, they’re just in-jokes or references for longtime fans and viewers. Trunks’ “first time” transformation also doesn’t necessarily pin it as his first time in continuity, so much as simply reuse the animation and have the boy transform in a moment of grief. Don’t recall any direct reference to that being his first transformation at all. Similarly, I wouldn’t say Gregory inherently means Filler Gregory is meant to be who this one is, as Gregory in Super really doesn’t speak or have anything close to the same personality. Similarly, Android 18 being as mad as she was about the mispronunciation of Marron as Maron can be seen as a nod to Krillin’s filler ex-girlfriend without actually acknowledging her. (As well as clearing up the whole “she’s named after her” thing since even the pronunciation is different in Japanese.) They’re not necessarily baking these things into continuity, just referencing them. One big problem the Super MANGA has, however, in an internal continuity issue. Toyotaro often feels a need to EXPLAIN things that don’t necessarily need to be explained, in an effort to feel like he’s fleshing things out more. The problem is... he often writes himself into a corner that way, as he doesn’t seem to run his ideas by Toriyama or check them against the man’s notes as much as he should, and thus finds himself in trouble later. Case-in-point: His decision that Super Saiyan Blue’s use had a mandatory cooldown period between uses, or else the multiplier the user receives from the form drops exponentially each time. Seemed a good way to potentially limit the form at the time, keep it from being “overused”, except... they very quickly found themselves in situations where it would HAVE to be used, to say nothing of the narrative issue of having Vegeta be in a reduced state of Blue by the time he faced Hit, thus making Hit’s win less shocking, and Hit himself a bit less formidable, to say nothing of downplaying Goku’s skill and reaction to it; he should have had a far easier time naturally, after all. This also causes some issues with Vegeta’s tactic vs Zamasu of popping into SSG for a speed advantage and then quickly in and out of SSB to strike, as that should have lowered the effectiveness each time, and THAT was done to deal with ANOTHER restriction Toyotaro had baked into the form of it draining ki almost as quickly as SSJ3 had back in the Buu arc, and that Godly Aura was actually just wasted ki. All of this then had to be negated via Toyotaro’s own version of SSB Kaioken, which was just... “Perfected” Blue. Which is just Blue without an aura. Which then leads into Goku knowing how to use Hakai despite not actually being a God of Destruction, not having ever even practiced it to know if he could do it, and only allegedly having seen Beerus use it once offscreen, which has to be inferred by the reader. These are actually just a FEW of said issues in the manga version of things, but in my opinion, the biggest signifier and offender comes in the final category: Characterization. It’s no real secret that Super does retread some characterization ground, but there’s a reason for that. New viewers, same characters, etc. Vegeta was sort-of given a full arc already, but due to popularity and ‘demand’, he has to be given a central role and can’t sort of fade back like Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, etc. were able to do once their respective arcs were done. (This also allows their own mini-arcs in the anime to feel more fulfilling as they’re not constantly shoved in your face, and they can touch on things happening or building up in the background of episodes, BUT, let’s move on.) As a result, one of the purposes of Battle of Gods, and how it was handled as an arc and the eps that followed it, was to establish a new sort of rivalry between Goku and Vegeta so as to renew that arc/dynamic for this particular series.
And that’s where the manga... sort of falls flat. Vegeta is kept in prominence despite a lack of any sort of established/renewed rivalry with Goku; BoG was done in shorthand, after all, and the events following that, as well as the entire Resurrection F arc, were skipped wholesale. In fact, Vegeta himself seems to have gone through a VERY radical personality shift in that... he’s... nice. And I don’t mean nice-ER, he’s outright nice. He shows open affection for his family, he literally runs over to embrace his baby in happiness and rejoices that it’s a girl, he engages in pleasantries with the rest of the cast before the Tournament of Power and asks about their wellbeing, he’s got almost none of his original character traits other than a flair for the dramatic... and bear in mind, Vegeta still has that hardass-ness to himself in the End of Z, which these events are supposed to lead into. And this isn’t even touching on how the narrative seems to shift frequently toward him being THE hero of the series, often actually placing Goku in near-helpless situations and having Vegeta inexplicably bail him out, or just have Goku be in awe or starstruck at how awesome Vegeta is now. The Future Trunks arc, for example, has Vegeta healed only to the point of being able to stand, yet when Goku is shrinking back in fear at the sight of TWO Fused Zamasus coming at him, Vegeta... transforms, swoops in, rescues Goku, AND nukes both Fused Zamasus with a single blow. (It doesn’t “win the day”, no, but it’s a mite riduculous). The current arc is also trying to wholesale shift focus away from Goku onto Vegeta in a leading role, which is a distinctly non-Toriyama move. And now, let’s talk Goku himself. HOO boy, where to begin... For all the talk of flanderization of Goku in the Super anime (which I could write entire rants on but I’ll refrain for now), the manga does him ten times worse. Almost every negative fandom meme or interpretation of Goku is reinforced in this arc, sometimes even to the point of literal, direct lampshading of it. For example: Goku in the anime makes a comment on how he doesn’t see why Bulma would “kill” Vegeta if he’s not right there when Bulma starts labor, as he was dead when Goten was born and Chi-Chi doesn’t hold ill will over it. The manga? It quite literally has Goku state he wasn’t around for the birth of Goten OR GOHAN. He couldn’t even be bothered to be there for the birth of his son he was alive to see. When Whis pops baby Bra out via magic so Vegeta can attend the ToP, Goku is... apparently still so dumb that he legitimately wonders aloud if that’s how ALL babies are born. Goku, in this same tournament, has ZERO strategic or technical skill, and relies solely on brute force and powerups (which is actually how VEGETA typically fights but I digress) and even has both Roshi admonish him for it and even has Goku agree with it and declare himself a “bad student” and say that he’s “done letting everyone around him down”. This manga also has Goku and Gohan’s relationship visibly strained, with Goku seemingly trying to cut himself out of Gohan’s life completely as the kid has no interest in fighting. To top this off, rather than attending the tournament in a gi fashioned after his father, whom Gohan canonically does admire, the manga has him deliberately ask to have another carbon copy of Piccolo’s. Hell, Gohan is so far from Manga!Goku’s mind here, that it doesn’t even occur to Goku to ASK Gohan if he wants to fight in the ToP after Buu falls asleep. In fact, Piccolo suggests it... and Goku PROTESTS the idea, saying the kid’s got no stomach for fighting and they should look elsewhere. The only time Goku seems to show an interest in Gohan is when he shows off his power in a fight vs Kefla. This is distinctly, demonstrably, simply NOT Toriyama’s Goku, in any way, shape, or form. Now, to speak on the other characters and their characterization... when it does exist, it’s one-dimensional and also often based around fan conceptions and memes. Krillin? Comedic coward who can’t fight. Goku even says that he thinks Krillin’s sole usefulness in the ToP might come in the form of him “being really good at running away”. He’s literally only in because Toriyama said so, and is literally immediately ringed out before he can so much as move. Tee hee so funny. Tien, who has no personality of note, is then also immediately out. Piccolo is just Gohan’s coach, really. Android 18 shows no emotion at all, even for her brother’s apparent death; this is later played off as her knowing he didn’t have his bomb anymore (something even Krillin somehow forgot???) so knowing he couldn’t have self-destructed... even though there are other ways to do that besides a bomb but w/e. 17 literally shows more care and affection for 18′s husband than she herself does as well, and their bond is pretty much non-existent. Chi-Chi and Goten pretty much do not exist. Trunks’ reunion with Gohan, meeting his family? Never happens. And Bulma... OH BULMA. What he did to that woman is criminal. She mostly plays the role of the worried Soldier’s Wife, fretting as she awaits her dashing husband’s return from war! The Bulma that wouldn’t take no for an answer? The Bulma that always insisted on going to the front lines to try to see things for herself? The Bulma who would be eager to see this future and see if she could find the notes of her other self and what else she may have discovered? That Bulma does not exist in this manga. HELL, the Bulma who was the smartest woman in the world barely does; what was Pilaf noticing one small math error in an equation in the Super anime becomes Pilaf “WELL ACKSHUALLY”-ing both Bulma and Future Bulma here and PERFECTING Time Travel so they can go to any point they desire, with Bulma being visibly upset about being upstage-aaaaaand she’s pregnant. It’s just... not good at all in this arena. Now one last thing to mention: Toriyama himself actually did explicitly state that his canon Broly movie, which he did write himself, was set to follow the events of the Super anime specifically, with him saying the manga would probably continue telling its own story. And indeed, there are things about the Broly movie that do tie into what people thought to be just “filler” in the anime, such as the number of wishes Shenron had left tying into the episode where they summoned him and then fought over wishes. The fact that he DOES specify that he wrote it to follow the anime, however, seems like a firm establishment of heirarchy to me personally. I’m sure some will disagree but... that’s life. lol Anyways, hope that helped clarify my stance on it, at least.

So I recently bought the remastered version of Dragonball GT on DVD and I am LOVING it. I’ve been dying to see the English voices paired with the Japanese music and it did not disappoint. I’ve missed GT, it’s my favorite of the Dragon Ball series (and yes, I’m aware of how unpopular that is) but it’s so nostalgic for me! GT was my first fandom, back when the internet was new and youtube hadn’t yet grown into the monster it is now.
I’m going to talk about GT now. Please read with an open mind and respect my opinion!
I honestly still prefer some of the characterizations to what we have in Super. It’s nice to see a Goku who isn’t obsessed with being the strongest ‘just cause.’ It’s nice to see a mellowed but still cranky Vegeta, even if he isn’t in the series all that much (which really is a shame.) I even like the variation in Trunks’ and Goten’s personalities! Maybe they have gotten a little soft but I like that angle too! It’s different, and honestly, we can’t really expect Universe 7 Trunks to grow up exactly like his alternate future self. Different experiences, right? To be honest, I think I like his GT personality better XD; (I know I know, another unpopular opinion but he’s such a frazzled mess, I can’t help it.)
I love Pan too. Yes she’s a little overly aggressive but so were a lot of female characters in Shonen series during that time (the late 90s.) I like that they added a female saiyan to the main cast - it meant SO much to me in middle school. If she’d just become a damn SUPER SAIYAN I’d have very little complaints about this show. Seriously. Why didn’t that happen? (I know why it supposedly didn’t but why hasn’t it happened in the 20 years since GT aired??)
Oh and Super Saiyan Four? SO cool. I definitely prefer it to what we have in Super (I know I know, don’t come after me!) It’s different - so different and I really appreciate that. You can tell just by looking at Goku in that form that he’s powerful, you don’t have to suspend any disbelief, looking at a Super Saiyan with differently colored hair (although I admit, Super’s Ultra Instinct is cool.)
On that note, I’d forgotten how strange it was to watch a DB series that doesn’t include a lot of transformations. It’s honestly a little refreshing, looking back as an adult. I’m sure it was jarring when the series first came out - wondering why Goku didn’t use his super saiyan transformation until episode 7 and Trunks until, what, 9 or 10? I’m still rewatching it. The first sixteen episodes were withheld from Funimation’s dub until later, so I didn’t experience any jarring adjustment. I know that’s why they weren’t released for a while but darn all, I LIKED the focus on adventure and character relationships. The battles in Z, at least the Z that aired in the early 2000s, were unbearably long. I still haven’t seen it in full, but I have read the manga.
I also prefer the tone of GT to Z. It’s a little more melancholic, romantic in the old sense of the word and also darker. I know a lot of people didn’t like that, but I tend to write tragic stories myself so it appeals to me. Even watching the first arc (which is my still my favorite) there’s a tone of finality in the music, including the opening theme. GT was meant to be the end of this franchise, after all. I like that about the series too. It was building towards something, something greater than the next Big Bad Foe. If only it were orchestrated a little better...
That’s really where GT falls short. There were so many little ways to improve this series, to make it stand out more than it did and the creative team just didn’t come through. Turning Goku back into a kid worked well in the beginning, but by the end, the audience was a little tired of it. He should have returned to adult form after Piccolo’s death (a cancellation of the wish kind of thing.) If he had been an adult for the last arc, I think “Goku Time” might’ve been more widely accepted. Also, as I said, Pan should have become a super saiyan, considering she was the only other protagonist by the end. Some of the blackstar dragons were strong enough for her to handle in a super saiyan form, which would’ve reduced the amount of times she was saved by Goku. I’m pretty sure that was a result of the era GT was written, as I said, but still. Pan deserved better.
Also Trunks should’ve stayed a main character, and if not, he should’ve been replaced by Vegeta or Goten or even a few characters. There are so many great ones to choose from and this timeline had a lot to explore. I never really understood why the Son and Briefs family stood by while Goku and (For a time) Vegeta took on Omega Shenron. It would’ve been the perfect opportunity to bring back Gotenks, see Gohan tap into his power reserves at last...like yes, Omega was scary-strong but still! So many “should haves” in this series...
All of this said, I still love GT. It really was beautiful in a lot of ways and the ENDING gets me. I didn’t like it when I first saw it but that’s really just because of the issues mentioned above. Goku’s death - his last death - was a bold move and poetic in a lot of ways. It’s kind of bittersweet to imagine a Dragon Ball world that continues in peace instead of constantly falling into danger. It may not hit the nostalgia button like Super but it wasn’t trying to appeal to all of us adult fans. It wanted to be different, it tried to be different and at least in that regard it succeeded.
TL;DR I love GT and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

GoChi Week 2020: Day Three: Third Child
Snippets in Time:
Expanding Family
Month Two
Goku wasn’t sure what happened but something forced him awake tonight. Rolling on his side, he reached for ChiChi. His closed eyes opened when he couldn’t feel her beside him. A sliver of light from the bathroom door and ChiChi’s Ki told Goku ChiChi was inside. Goku laid back in bed preparing to fall asleep when his sharp ears picked up the sounds of sobbing coming from the bathroom.
Knowing something was wrong, Goku got out of bed. He slowly opened the door to see ChiChi sitting on the edge of the tub crying. Her hands were buried in her face, so she didn’t notice him.
“ChiChi?”
ChiChi gasped, startled at Goku’s appearance. “Goku.” ChiChi wiped her eyes. “Do you have to use the toilet? I’ll be out in a moment.”
“Why are you crying?” ChiChi didn’t answer. In fact, she looked terrified. “What’s that?” he asked of the plastic sticks besides her. “Those look familiar.”
“It’s nothing,” ChiChi said as she reached for the sticks but Goku was faster.
He picked one up and sniffed. “Hey, this smells like you, ChiChi.”
“Goku, it’s….” she sighed, “a pregnancy test.”
“Pregnancy test?” He remembered those. When ChiChi checked to see if she was pregnant with Gohan, the sink was covered with tests. He looked at ChiChi, understanding her reaction. “Oh.” Goku sat beside her. “It’s okay, ChiChi. We can try again right now for a baby.”
“No,” ChiChi shook her head. “You misunderstood. I’m pregnant, Goku.”
Now Goku was confused. If ChiChi is pregnant, why is she crying? “Don’t you want a baby?”
“Do you?” ChiChi threw the question back at him.
Goku rubbed the back of his neck. “I never thought about it but, sure why not?” ChiChi wasn’t smiling. “Why don’t you wanna have the baby?”
“I do but I don’t want this baby to go through what Gohan and Goten went through.” Judging from the blank stare on Goku’s face, he didn’t know what she meant so ChiChi explained, “You missed seven years of Gohan and Goten’s lives. Both very formative. You didn’t deal with Gohan’s depression after you died or watch him grow into a man. You missed a lot of firsts for Goten and didn’t have to console Goten when he couldn’t participate in father/son events. I don’t want to put another child through that.”
He understood ChiChi’s concerns but Goku argued, “But that happened because I was dead. I’m alive now. I’ll be here for the baby.”
“For how long?”
That remark stung but ChiChi had a point. “I can’t predict the future but I wanna be alive for a very long time. You know there will be other fights but dying is a last resort.” He put his arms around ChiChi and hugged her back to his chest. “I’m sorry for dying on you twice, ChiChi, but the next time I die, I want it to happen many years from now and I want you to go first.” ChiChi gazed up at him. Fresh tears were in her eyes. “I wanna be the one who waits.”
“Goku…..” ChiChi whispered awed. “Thank you.”
Month Three
Vegeta rubbed his left shoulder as he stepped out of the gravity room. It was a good workout, but he was ready to take a shower and relax for the evening. He entered his bedroom where Bulma was on the phone. He ignored her talking as he gathered a change of clothes from his chest drawer when he heard Bulma say,
“That’s great, ChiChi! We have to throw a party in a few months.” Vegeta rolled his eyes. Bulma and those parties. She always finds an excuse to have one. “Ah, come on. It’ll be fun and you may be the last one in our group to do this for a while.” Vegeta turned. What did Bulma mean about that? “The next person will probably be Gohan and Videl.”
Vegeta observed Bulma puling the phone from her ear. Even from his spot he could hear ChiChi yelling about something. What did Bulma do this time to provoke her?
“I’m only saying, ChiChi. I won’t be next. Vegeta and I aren’t planning any now.”
Now Vegeta wanted to know what was going on. He turned to Bulma with a fist hand on his hip. He sent her an ‘I’m pissed and get off the phone look’ to her. It took a few moments but Bulma eventually noticed. “I’ll come by later this week and we can go shopping. Bye.”
Bulma tapped the ‘end call’ button on her cell phone when Vegeta asked, “What was that about? What aren’t we planning that Kakarrot’s wife is?”
“ChiChi’s pregnant.”
“Pregnant?!”
“Yeah! I was surprised myself.” As Bulma talked, Vegeta rushed to Bulma’s desk and sifted through the papers in the drawers. “She’s six weeks. I thought ChiChi was done having kids. Gohan’s finishing high school and Goten’s been out of diapers for years. To start over again with that age gap between the kids,” Bulma shook her head. “Not for me.”
When Vegeta didn’t say anything, Bulma looked in his direction and noticed Vegeta tossing paper after paper out of her desk drawer. “What are you doing?” She walked over to him. “You’re making a mess.”
“Looking for—ha! This!” Vegeta pulled out a blue notebook. He turned several pages, read the content and laughed victorious! “Yes! I was right!”
Bulma crossed her arms over her chest annoyed. “Right about what?”
Vegeta turned the notebook around. On the paper were a list of names of everyone except the Son Family. The names started with Bulma and Vegeta, including Yamcha, Krillin, 18 and ending with Oolong and Puar. Next to each name was a date and money amount. By Vegeta’s name was a date, a week off from today’s and 100 zeni. “I won the Baby Pool! There’s 3000 zeni in it. Pay up!”
Month Four
She made a mistake looking at the moon. It was by accident of course. ChiChi woke up needing to relieve her bladder. As she washed her hands, she noticed the full moon in the window but looked away too late before realizing what she had done. ChiChi made the mistake looking at the full moon while pregnant with Goten. It created a very sexually frustrating night for her.
ChiChi didn’t have to worry about being sexually frustrated since her husband was alive but, whoo, the effects of the full moon were hitting her hard. Her breasts throb, she could feel moisture between her legs and tingles of pleasure pulsing from her warm core as her body was filled with a deep, burning need for sex. Just thinking about Goku filled ChiChi with a strong urge to jump on him, rip his clothes off and attack him with kisses, bites and licks before plunging his tool in her wet home riding him with all her strength the rest of the night.
Refusing to wait anymore, ChiChi climbed back in bed and snuggled with Goku. She began her seduction by nibbling his ear while her fingers caressed his chest, pinching his nipples. It didn’t take long before ChiChi’s touches awakened Goku.
“ChiChi?” Goku murmured sleepily. He grunted at his ear being tugged by ChiChi’s sharp teeth. “What are you---ah,” his words cut off at ChiChi stroking his penis.
“I’m hungry for Saiyan meat,” ChiChi whispered in his ear. “You smell so good.” She licked the right side of his face. “I love your taste.”
“Oof!” Goku grunted as ChiChi straddled him. Above him ChiChi pulled off her nightgown. His eyes stared at her swollen breasts; lips licked at her stiff nipples. His right hand caressed the swell of her growing stomach and his nose was teased with the tantalizing smell emitting from between ChiChi’s legs. Whoo, she was ready! ChiChi always responded a certain way when she wanted intimacy but Goku couldn’t recall ChiChi acting like this except…. “Did you look at the full moon?”
ChiChi responded by gripping his boxers and ripping it open. Her lips licked at the sight of his swelling penis. “My prize.”
“Hey!” Goku complained. “No fair. You can’t look at the full moon without me.”
Goku turned his face towards the window but ChiChi slapped him hard turning his face away. “My turn,” ChiChi snarled. “My turn to only see the full moon.” Stunned at ChiChi’s aggressiveness, Goku relented. He watched as ChiChi lower herself further in bed. Grabbing her breasts, ChiChi wrapped them around Goku’s thick penis and squeezed firmly.
“Ngh!” Goku groaned. It wasn’t as tight as being inside ChiChi but it still felt good to have ChiChi’s breasts wrapped snuggly around his penis. “Feels good, ChiChi. Keep……” Her warm mouth covered the head of his penis sucking Goku as her hands constantly move her breasts, squeezing, moving up and down in a thrusting motion as it smothered Goku’s cock.
“Hah,” Goku hissed through his teeth. His hips thrust upward to keep in sync with ChiChi’s loving attention. It wasn’t often ChiChi gives him this type of treatment. She gave him attention with her mouth but ChiChi didn’t always get this creative unless she was really in a sexy mood.
The downside to this attention left Goku spilling before he was ready.
“Chi!” Goku threw his head back as his hand fisted the bedsheets. His hips shot up, body flared in a golden aura, eyes turned green and hair turned blonde as he exploded in her mouth. ChiChi held on to Goku and took as much as she could in her mouth but Goku’s sudden transformation caught her off guard. ChiChi found herself pushed off Goku’s shaft as Goku exploded like a geyser. He spilled on the sheets, ChiChi’s breasts with a few sprinkles on her face.
Goku’s hips dropped back on the bed as his recovering body panted. It took a moment before Goku collected himself and recall he transformed into a Super Saiyan and knocked ChiChi off him. Worried he harmed her, Goku sat up. ChiChi sat on the edge of the bed panting and wiping her face.
“ChiChi, I’m sorry,” Goku apologized. “You were so good and I just lost control.” He slid to her touching her stomach tenderly. “I didn’t hurt you or the baby did I?”
A drop of his cream was on the corner of ChiChi’s lips. Sticking out her tongue, she licked the cream before rolling her tongue back in her mouth. ChiChi’s elicit moan made Goku rise again. “I forgot how Super Saiyan cream taste,” ChiChi whispered huskily. “So addictive. I can’t get enough.”
Uh-oh. Goku knew that look. ChiChi looked at him as if he was a meal. Seeing her smile turn predatory, Goku had a feeling he was in sexual trouble. It was good to be in this kind of trouble. Goku was getting harder than a rock. Still when ChiChi got this way, it was a little overwhelming and, in her condition, they had to be careful. Slowly, he slid back. “ChiChi, I know how the full moon gets. Just take it easy. I’m willing to do anything. No need to---Whoa!”
The next morning, Goten sleepily walked into the kitchen. He expected to find his mother making breakfast but saw his father cooking in front of the stove wearing boxers. It was strange seeing his Dad cook. That was Mom’s job but what really confused Goten were the scratch marks on his Dad’s back. “Dad?” His father turned and to Goten’s surprise there were even more scratches and bite marks all over his Dad’s chest and neck. “What happened to you?”
Goku rubbed the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. “Oh, I got into a fight with a bear this morning. Marked me up pretty good.”
“Oh.” Strange but his Dad did strange things sometimes. Dad was the strongest person in the world to Goten. The idea of his Dad being marked up by a bear had the child giggling. “It looks like the bear won.”
Goku turned away from Goten muttering, “You got that right.”
****
Month Six
Eating more is always expected for a pregnant woman. For a woman carrying a half Saiyan baby, the abundance of food she ate was abnormal. Goku’s stomach always made the food bill high. Since his return to life, the food bill doubled. Adding ChiChi’s pregnancy, it tripled. It was never acknowledged who was always hungrier: Goku or ChiChi. It was common thought no matter how hungry ChiChi got it never equaled Goku’s hunger.
It would’ve remained unchallenged if it were not for Goku coming home one day stating how hungry he is. ChiChi gently argued it didn’t equal her hunger since she is pregnant. Goku foolishly laughed and said his stomach was bigger and ChiChi couldn’t compare. Gohan intervene trying to deescalate the situation but Goku wouldn’t keep quiet and argued his stomach was bigger than ChiChi’s and though she is pregnant will never equal his hunger.
His innocent laugh and words enrage ChiChi that before Gohan could calm his angry mother, he, Goku and Goten were in the forest hunting for various animals Goku and ChiChi will consume in their eating contest.
Goku thought it was all hilarious and he will be declared the winner. No one had a bigger stomach than him. Humoring ChiChi, Goku caught a bear, while Gohan and Goten collected four large Mount Paouz fishes.
Plates of cooked fish, bear meat, and an array of vegetables, rice and bread covered the table and counters in the kitchen.
“This is gonna be fun!” Goten cheered as his parents sat at opposite ends of the table with numerous numbers of plates between them. “I can’t wait to see who wins.”
“You won’t have to wait long, Goten,” ChiChi told her son. “It’ll be me.”
“If you say so, ChiChi,” Goku winked at her. “I’m winning this.”
“Are you ready?” Gohan intervened as the game’s judge. “Get set and go!”
Goku, a frequent fast eater, quickly piled food in his mouth, chewing nosily and fast. ChiChi ate fast, too, but unlike Goku didn’t choke every few minutes from lack of water to wash down the food. One by one, plate after plate was cleared from the table with Gohan and Goten frequently adding a new dish. Gohan knew his Dad will win but even he was impressed with how many plates his mother emptied. He forgot she ate like this when pregnant with Goten.
Nearly an hour later, ChiChi felt her stomach getting tight. She looked across the table to Goku still eating at a fast pace; giving no indication he was getting full. She wasn’t going to win. Her temper got the better of her and she was going to lose to her husband who will gloat about this victory.
“Getting full?” Goku noticed ChiChi’s pace slowing in the last ten minutes. Victory was his. He shouldn’t gloat but he couldn’t help himself. He loved seeing ChiChi get angry with him. “It’s okay to lose, ChiChi. I’m a full Saiyan. You’re carrying a half Saiyan and you’re human. You never had a chance.”
Goten giggled, Gohan slapped his forehead, and if she could, ChiChi would smack the smirk rising on Goku’s face. Perhaps, she deserved the ribbing. ChiChi wouldn’t mind if Goku did this while alone but mocking her in front of their sons, frustrated ChiChi to the point where she felt he had to pay. Goku wouldn’t lose but she can always argue he only had a slim victory over her.
ChiChi grabbed the remaining dish of seasoned bear meat and stuffed it in her mouth, eating fast and loud like him but the sounds she made were reminiscent of the sounds she made that got her in her current condition. Gohan was a little suspicious but the sounds went unnoticed by Goten. He was only impressed with how fast and how much his mother ate.
Goku stared at ChiChi silently watching ChiChi ravenously eat the bear meat. That was impressive but the sounds she made caused his pants to get tight. At the moment, he wasn’t hungry for food. Gripping the table, Goku jumped to his feet; eyes only on ChiChi.
Gohan’s eyes bugged out of its socket as he noticed the bulge in his Dad’s pants. Gohan didn’t like where this was escalating and as big brother, quickly acted to protect his younger brother. He covered Goten’s eyes and pulled him from the room. “Goten, since Mom and Dad ate all the meat, let’s go hunt something for ourselves.”
“Ow! Wait, Gohan,” Goten complained as he was carried out of the house. “I can’t see. I wanna finish watching Mom and Dad eating contest.”
“Uh, contest is over.” The last thing Gohan saw before leaving the house was his father carrying his mother out of the room. “Dad won…. but barely.”
Month Eight
Sleep for a pregnant woman in the advance stages of pregnancy was torture. When it was in the summer, it was pure hell. Sleep was almost impossible when the baby was awake. ChiChi could feel her son or daughter moving around, kicking and punching as it tried to find a comfortable spot. With the unborn child’s home getting smaller as the baby grew bigger, being comfortable was a challenge.
Rolling over for the fifth time, ChiChi saw Goku sleeping peacefully and taking up space on the bed. She needed this bed more than Goku. She’s the one who’s carrying the baby. She’s slept in this bed longer than him.
Pushing Goku a few inches, ChiChi took the space. She laid on her back with her with one hand on her stomach and legs stretched. She was comfortable….. for five minutes.
This position sent sharp pains in her lower back. It didn’t help the mattress was older and worn. She had it when pregnant with Goten. It was perfect then. Now the aged mattress cause aches in her body.
“Ow!” ChiChi winced as the baby kicked her painfully. The child was probably making her pay for picking such a poor spot in bed to sleep in.
While she suffered, Goku happily slept. Jealousy and anger filled her seeing how happy and peaceful her husband slept while she was spent half the night trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in.
With a grunt, ChiChi rolled on her left side. A sharp breath escaped her. This spot. It was so soft. It was comfortable. Perfect she thought as she settled a little further. This left her cuddling against her husband. It would be pleasing to cuddle Goku if she wasn’t so hot and Goku wasn’t hogging the one good spot on the mattress. She deserved it more than him. She’s carrying the baby. Not Goku!
“Goku,” ChiChi whispered. “Goku,” she said louder.
Goku responded rolling on his side and draping his arm and leg over her. ChiChi was already hot. She didn’t need Goku’s hot Saiyan body smothering her. With a shove, ChiChi pushed Goku off her. She put too much strength in it since Goku rolled away from her, tumbling out of bed.
The loud thump of his body hitting the floor awakened Goku immediately. “What the..?” Goku looked around puzzled. “Why am I on the floor?”
Sitting up, Goku saw ChiChi lying on his side of the bed. “What are you doing there, ChiChi? This is my side.”
“I need it, Goku. I can’t sleep on my side.” A dream sound left her lips. “It’s really and soft and comfy here for me and the baby.”
“Yeah, but…. that’s my side.”
“The baby needs this side!” Aggravated, ChiChi shoo Goku away. “Just take mine.”
Frowning, Goku stood. Whenever ChiChi took something of his, she always said the baby needs it. He wondered if it was just ChiChi needing it and ChiChi using the baby as an excuse.
Looking at the bed, Goku noticed a problem. ChiChi told him to sleep on her side of the bed but ChiChi laid in a diagonal angle, leaving her body nearly sprawling the entire bed. There was no way he could sleep in the bed unless he curled up in a ball.
“Uh, I think I’ll sleep on the floor, ChiChi.”
Silence.
“ChiChi?”
Goku pressed his hands on the mattress and leaned over his wife. ChiChi was sound asleep wearing the same happy smile he wore before ChiChi woke him. “Hmph,” Goku grunted as he grabbed a pillow laid it on the floor. “One more month. One more month,” he muttered over and over.
****
Month Nine
“This is wrong, Videl. You have to use the cosine function to solve this problem. You used the sine function.” Gohan flipped his pencil over and erased the formula Videl wrote to solve her trigonometry problem.
Videl leaned closer to Gohan reading the formula he wrote. “I thought I was using cosine. Opposite over the hypotenuse.”
Gohan shook his head. “That’s sine, Videl. Cosine is adjacent over hypotenuse.”
Videl groaned irritably. “I hate trigonometry! I’ll be lucky to get a D out of this class.”
“You won’t get a D,” Gohan told her as he finished writing the solution to her math problem. “I can help you get a B at least.”
While Gohan focused on her math homework, Videl was focused on him. He was so sweet, so helpful and just so cute.
“Gohan?”
Gohan turned his head. “Yes, Videl?”
Videl pressed her lips to Gohan’s. The pencil in Gohan’s hand rolled on the paper as Gohan wrapped his arm around Videl returning her kiss. Gohan felt Videl shift as she settled more comfortable against Gohan while they tenderly kissed.
As he and Videl made out, Gohan felt something wrong. A presence. One of Gohan’s eyes opened to see his father standing over him and Videl with his head cocked to the side looking confused.
Gohan pushed Videl away, knocking her several feet from him. “Dad!” Gohan gasped with a cherry colored face. “What are you doing here?”
“What are you doing?” Goku asked. “You’re kissing Videl. You told Mom you were only gonna do homework.”
“W-we were,” Gohan stammered. “We, uh….ah, um, were taking break.” His heart pounded in his chest and his skin felt so warm. Caught making out with his girlfriend in front of his Dad. How embarrassing. Hoping to change the subject, Gohan asked. “Why are you here?”
“Mom’s in labor. I came to get you.”
“Labor.” Embarrassing kiss forgotten, Gohan quickly gathered his books. No wonder Dad popped in with his teleportation trick. “Let me get my stuff.”
Videl returned to father and son. Her face wasn’t nearly as flustered as Gohan. It was embarrassing but Videl was glad it wasn’t her father who caught her and Gohan making out. As Gohan zipped his bag, she told him, “Call me when the baby is here.”
“I will.” Gohan leaned forward to kiss Videl goodbye but realized his father was still watching. “Uh, I’ll call.”
Gohan touched Goku’s arm. He waved goodbye as he and his Dad vanished before her eyes.
Goku left Gohan with Goten and Gyumao in the waiting room. He joined ChiChi in her hospital room who was being examined by Dr. Barkley.
“Looks like you’re dilated enough to push.” Dr. Barkley lowered the bedsheet as Goku teleported back in the room. The older doctor smiled at Goku’s arrival. “Goku, it’s good to see you back for this one. Ready to do your part?”
Goku flashed a victory sign. “Yup!”
Son Keiko was the easiest birth for ChiChi. With Goku by her side, occasionally giving her his Ki, the delivery was without any complications and very mild pain. Goku was very hands on with this birth, cutting Keiko’s umbilical cord, helping Dr. Barkley clean baby Keiko and standing over her as she examined the baby before placing her in the happy mother’s arms.
Alone, Goku and ChiChi marveled at their little blessing. ChiChi held their baby while Goku sat in bed with her. Goku stared at the small bundle wrapped snugly in her yellow blanket. Like Gohan as a newborn, Keiko’s eyes were open, curious at the two people staring at her.
“She looks like you,” Goku remarked at Keiko’s eyes.
“But your hairstyle,” ChiChi added at the tufts of black spike in Keiko’s hair. “A Saiyan trait.”
“Yeah, but no tail,” Goku thought glumly. “Only Gohan was born with one.”
“I have a theory about that. Gohan wasn’t conceived when you were a Super Saiyan. Goten and Keiko were.”
Goten was definitely conceived while he was a Super Saiyan but Goku wasn’t sure about Keiko. “Are you sure? I wasn’t Super Saiyan every time.”
“But you were most time. Sometimes you came by transforming.” ChiChi shook her head. “I swear you get off on trying to kill me.”
Kill her? From the way ChiChi acted intimately when he’s in Super Saiyan form, she loved it. In fact, “Hold on. You wanted to be intimated when I was Super Saiyan Three. It’s probably how we got Keiko.”
ChiChi turned her head to Goku stunned. “I did not! I….. I…..” Goku’s sly smile silenced ChiChi. Come to think of it, she did ask to see this transformation. As she touched his face and hair, studying Goku’s new form, one thing led to another…..
“Well,” ChiChi turned her attention back to their daughter. A thought occurred to her as she realized the implications of creating a child while Goku is in Super Saiyan Three. “You’re training this one then. Goten almost broke my back when he transformed for the first time. Let our daughter kill you this time and not me.”
Goku laughed. “I doubt Keiko will be that diff—” he paused. Did ChiChi really say? “Are you serious, ChiChi? I can train Keiko?”
The breathless tone in Goku’s voice had ChiChi gazing back at her husband. He looked so hopeful, imploring she really meant it. “Yes, Goku. You can train Keiko. After Gohan and Goten, I think we have enough experience to find the perfect balance in training our daughter and allowing her to get an education. This baby is a blessing, Goku. My only wish is she gets to grow up with both us; that she receives training by her Daddy, the strongest man in the universe.” She received a tender kiss from Goku. “And an education but decides for herself what she wants to do with her life and we support it no matter what. Deal.”
Goku broke many promises to ChiChi but this was one Goku vow to never break. “Deal.”
The door opened with Goten, Gohan and Gyumao walking in with balloons, flowers and gifts ready to meet, love and protect the newest member of the Son Family, Son Keiko.

5 MALE CHARACTERS I LOVE
Tagged by: @fadedjacket Thank you!!! I think I’m also going to take the opportunity to go on about WHY I love these characters
1: Doom-Head (Rob Zombie’s 31)
First and Foremost I love Doom-Head because I’m thirsty AF, but beyond that the character absolutely steals the show; Richard Brake gave a STUNNING performance. He’s a fun character because he seems like he’d be just an edgy-grimdark type of character, but he is the kind of loser trash man who says the word “dong” and loves the sound of his own voice so much he fucks himself over(and he absolutely IS an edgelord). BEYOND affectionate ripping on the character, he is actually so TRAGIC when you think about the time period the movie takes place in, and the fact that Rob Zombie is a very smart man with a great love of the time period. In the movie, we catch glimpses of Doom-Head’s mental state, which is obviously...suffering; compounded by the fact that the movie takes place in the late 70s, and the fact that the character is at least in his forties(Brake is in his 50s), there was absolutely no such thing as decent mental health care in his youth. I could talk for hours about this character. And I have on my Horror Side Blog @its-monster-mash
2: Porter Gage (Fallout 4)
I HAVE talked for hours about how much I love Porter Gage and why, I run a Gage Request blog at @raiders-r-us, and a general fallout sideblog @0nce-in-a-bluem00n
Basically, Porter Gage is a companion in Fallout 4’s Nuka World DLC and is your second in command as you lead and manage a group of Raiders; though he has personal morals that go above and beyond your standard raider. If you go down his friendship/romance route, he will open up to you about his backstory and how he became a raider in the first place. In short, as he grew up he watched his family constantly knuckle under to raider gangs, and at age 13 he ran off and joined a mercenary company...who also knuckled under to raiders. So from 16 on he’s been a raider. It’s the only life he ever really knew.
I ADORE his character because if his parents had stood up to the raiders, or his mercenary company had been a little tougher, Gage would almost definitely not have become a raider. Unlike the typical raiders of the Fallout universe, Gage hates chem use, and has a strong work ethic(to the point where he will get pissed if the player chooses lazy dialogue choices); those two things alone set him above the rest, but it also can’t be ignored how intelligent Gage is. He’s been leading the Nuka raiders from the sideline(he chooses to be second in command to avoid a bullseye on his back) since before they found Nuka World, he cares deeply about his people whether he would admit it or not. IN SHORT, Gage is such a dynamic character and I live for that shit.
3: John Seed (Far Cry 5) Farcry Sideblog is @wrath-of-eden
Dear Sweet Johnny Boy. Honestly, I walked into the living room when my husband was playing Far Cry, the loading screen with John’s picture came up, and we were both SHOOK because he resembles my husband A LOT(like right down to the outfit, John’s outfit is basically what my husband wore to our wedding); so I was predisposed to like John.
What I WASN’T prepared for was how emotional I would get when I played through Far Cry 5 myself and learned John’s backstory. I didn’t go through the same religious torture John did, and I never struggled with drug addiction, but I did have a very traumatic childhood that resaulted in a similar “Yes” complex and intense need for approval. Up until a few years ago when I had a scary moment that taught me the importance of enforcing boundaries, almost every significant figure in my life took advantage of my inability to say no, often in malicious ways. To me, John represents someone who never had that awakening. The evil shit John does, he does because he BELIEVES it; that becomes undeniable in his death seen(in the gif). John was tortured and made to believe it was good and necessary, so he believes he is doing the right thing when he tortures people; Joseph only reinforces this. As horrible as the torture aspect to his character is, I see too much of myself in him not to feel for the character.
4: Cullen (Dragon Age) Dragon Age Sideblog is @the-greyest-warden
I have been crushing on this character since he was an awkward blushing mess in DAO, so being able to romance him in Inquisition?? You bet your ass I jumped at the opportunity. This character appears in both earlier Dragon Age games, so I jumped in FULLY aware of his trauma...but I didn’t expect his addiction arc.
I loved Cullen’s entire storyline; I think his timeline of trauma/lashing out/healing felt very natural. People hate on Cullen for having been harsh against mages, but he was TORTURED by mages he probably knew since he was young; the evils from both mages and Templars he experienced in Kirkwall would be a compelling case for his negative feelings, the growth he has done by Inquisiton is honestly so impressive, and really shows what a compassionate and critically thinking character Cullen is. His addiction plot line takes it to a whole new level for me personally though, because my husband was an addict when I met him; so I am very intimate with the reality of watching your loved one suffer through withdrawals, and watching the person you love reach his breaking point and still push himself beyond it. (My husband has been clean for over two years now, and our son turned one year old last week ❤️)
5: Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z)
The gif says it all. Vegeta has been my favorite character on DBZ since I was a little girl first watching his villainous little ass land on earth. From then to current DBZ content? Vegeta’s character growth is absolutely immeasurable. He went from big bad villain to a fiercely devoted husband and father(certainly a much better husband and father than Goku has ever been). His development was so gradual it never felt out of place; I don’t think there is any other beloved character from my childhood for whom new content continues to be made who has NEVER disappointed me.
