"Thank you so much, sir. I don't know how we shall ever repay you," one of the young, female Omegas within the group whispered as she reached out, splaying blackened fingertips in grateful acceptance of the small packet of bread, cheese and water.

In reply, Valie smiled sweetly at the Omega, waves of black and white hair tumbling over his shoulder as he moved to set the basket of provisions aside, choosing instead to grasp the young woman's hands tightly between his own.

Valie's mismatched eyes, one as white as a cloud in a clear summer sky and the other as dark as midnight, conveyed a profound sense of compassion as he focused intently on the newcomer.

"Please, there is no need for repayment. You have already sacrificed more than anyone should ever have to," he assured, voice always as gentle as a hummingbird's wings.

Valie had welcomed countless newcomers into their steadily growing community over the past few months and still, he never grew tired of a new face.

"I am called Valie. May I know what you are called?"

"My master called me Egil," the Omega's words held no obvious ill undertone.

However, despite her flawlessly rehearsed complaisance, Valie had gained more than enough experience throughout his life to know that in order to fully understand, he needed to look beyond the surface.

"Here, your past master's influence holds no sway. In this place, you are whoever your heart desires you to be," Valie affirmed, placing the package of provisions into her hands with care, all the while his smile widened as if to emphasize the liberating truth of his words.

"But for now, it is truly a pleasure to meet you, Miss Egil."

The heartwarming sensation that came along with witnessing someone's trust in him blossom was an experience Valie cherished without end.

Thus, when Miss Egil's once-averted gaze rose to meet his, a lone tear carving a path through the caked layers of grime on her face, Vali couldn't help but feel a similar sensation of moisture gathering within the creases of his own eyes.

However, amidst his sudden bout of emotion, the distressed cries of a nearby infant suddenly caught Vali's attention.

Within a single moment, his caregiving instincts kicked in, drawing him toward one of the newest Alpha mothers in the group who was clearly struggling with her newborn.

"Please, eat. I will return to check on you later, alright?" Valie reassured Miss Egil, whose cracked lips curved into a faint smile as she offered a silent nod in response.

Gathering his basket, Vali moved with haste towards the Alpha woman he'd noticed.

Her jaw was stained with tears as she tried to soothe her child, however, every gentle sway of her arms sent a wince through her face, hinting that certainly, her child was not the only one suffering.

Valie crouched before the woman, using both hands to carefully... slowly... lower himself to a sitting position on the dirt floor so that he could more effectively survey the situation.

Lately, it was becoming increasingly difficult for Vali to complete tasks that required him to move up and down constantly like this, what with his heavily distended stomach getting in the way.

It had taken Vali a long time to acknowledge the truth in Guiscard's claim about his pregnancy.

Denial persisted even when the unmistakable signs of morning sickness began... he'd first attempted to attribute his symptoms to 'bad water' from the nearby creek,and then motion sickness from riding Frode around the village.

However, as his abdomen began to expand, the gradual transformation of his body undeniable evidence of his Alpha's claim to his womb, Valie eventually found that he could no longer evade reality.

He was pregnant.

He was going to be a father.

He had created life.

It was a terrifyingly beautiful revelation but one that he would absolutely never take for granted.

But this moment was not about him.

So, even when Valie winced at a particularly sharp twinge in his lower abdomen... a recurring ache that had intensified over the past few days... he simply gritted his teeth, pushed through the pain and spoke to the clearly distressed woman.

"Excuse me, ma'am," Vali began, his voice just as gentle and caring as ever.

"I am called Vali. I couldn't help but notice that both you and your child seem a bit uncomfortable. Is there anything that I can do to assist you?"

Valie lowered his head slightly, offering a concerned smile as he attempted to obtain a better view of the Alpha female and her restless infant.

The Alpha female's head snapped up, her eyes meeting Valie's in an instant.

And as if the sight of him alone triggered an avalanche, the woman's already moist eyes overflowed with a renewed hurricane of tears, an agonizing sob tearing its way out of her bosom, where her baby still struggled against her.

"My Omega... she..." her voice quivered, gaze shifting back and forth between her child and Valie as she struggled to articulate the weight of the torment she'd undoubtedly endured.

"Gods above, I tried so hard. But our master was so relentless, so cruel and..." she wavered, irises wobbling beneath the heavy sheen of tears that fell from her eyes.

"And I couldn't save her. And now, I can't even soothe Elof's cries because it hurts to hold him..." she extended one, shaky forearm, revealing the deep, weeping sores that encircled her wrists... the result of the chronic chafing of chains that once bound her.

"Oh, my," Valie gasped, stunned into silence as tears welled up in his eyes for the umpteenth time that day.

Every one of Valie's emotions swirled in a particularly tempestuous dance lately, as ephemerally labile as a passing rainstorm.

The healer had told him it would be this way... that as his pregnancy progressed, his pheromones would become increasingly restless, a wild wind that refused to be tamed.

But simply being told that it would happen was not the same as experiencing it and as Valie quickly found himself overcome by the suffering and desperation unfolding all around him, he decided that after this, he'd take a brief, yet much-needed retreat back to his abode.

Furthermore, the bread and cheese he'd packed were quickly dwindling due to the large group of newcomers they'd welcomed today, so a visit home to replenish the bread he had set out to rise in the crackling hearth that morning was inevitable at some point today.

Valie cleared his throat, shifting his focus back to the situation at hand.

"I am so, deeply sorry for your loss," he began, his tone filled with empathy.

"How about you share with me the story of how you and your fated met while I tend to your injuries?"

The Alpha woman maintained a wide-eyed gaze, disbelief evident in her hesitant expression.

However, after a few more moments, once she was sure that Vali wasn't some phantom apparition sent to offer hope and then snatch it away before her very eyes, the distraught woman nodded solemnly.

"You are all so kind. I don't know how to thank you," she admitted, eyes downcast.

Valie just smiled that genuine smile that always seemed to stick to his lips like glue, eyes crinkling with kindness.

"We do this out of the love in our hearts, not to seek any reward," he reassured her, extending a hand.

"Now, perhaps Miss Egil wouldn't mind holding Elof while we take care of your wounds?"

The next half hour passed quickly, what with the female Alpha... who Valie had come to learn was called Alfhid... sharing wondrous stories of her and her fated's time together.

Their conversation was hushed at first... hesitant.

But as minutes crept by, whispers turned to soft laughter when Alfhid told Valie of the time her fated accidentally fell into the nearby well 'without any injuries to show for it, thank Odin' or the time Alfhid had fainted when she'd found out about her fated's pregnancy.

As Valie finished cleaning Alfhid's wounds, dressing them with wool wax and wrapping them with clean strips of linen, they even shared a few smiles of understanding.

By the time Valie emptied his basket of the rest of the bread, cheese and leather water skeins it held and stepped out of the longhouse that sheltered all of the village's newcomers, the sun already hung high in afternoon sky.

A warm breeze rustled through the surrounding trees and he exchanged friendly waves with his fellow villagers, reciprocating their kind gestures with nods of gratitude.

They'd truly evolved into one massive, tight-knit community over the past few months, a family of sorts, which was an experience Valie never imagined that he'd ever have the privilege of being a part of.

But it was a privilege that he treasured and now, he couldn't fathom a world without the rest of them it in, too.

Being constantly surrounded by people who genuinely cared for him, just as he cared for them, never failed to raised his spirits.

At Blue Hour," you said, grabbing Beomgyu's half empty styrofoam cup and taking a sip of the soda. He looked up at you, eyebrows raised. "No shit? With who?" he asked, taking another mozzarella stick and tearing it in half. "Kamila Valieva," you said, watching him dip half the mozzarella stick into the almost empty marinara sauce. Beomgyu looked up at you, confusion written on his face. "Vali-what?" he asked, making you laugh loudly. He smiled up at you, taking a bite of the fried cheese. "She's one of the most famous figure skaters in the world, Beom," you answered. "Wait. The one with the doping incident?" he asked, perking up. You nodded. "Oh shit," he laughed. "Never thought an ice fairy would be able to hit you," he continued, smile fading almost instantly when he saw your expression. "Sorry," he murmured. "You should see her though," you heard a voice say and glanced up to see Sunghoon and Sophie standing by the table. You smiled up at your friends. "Hey," Sophie said, taking a seat beside you and grabbing one of the last mozzarella sticks. "Hey!" Beomgyu whined. You turned to smile at him, reaching up to softly pinch his cheek. "Don't be stingy, Beommie," you cooed. He rolled his eyes. "Only 'cause you asked so nicely," he said, smiling in return.

I really like the interaction between Y/N and Beomgyu in a scene from an upcoming story of mine, Jam the Ice. I think the reason I'm proud of it so much is because I wrote it in my outline after the scene just popped into my head. I could see it play out like in a movie and that doesn't normally happen when I'm working on an outline.

He can't say that though, because it only comes out as a series of very irritated squeaks. He tried to attack Vis' fingers but to no avail, he was in the jar before long. Great, yeah, nice. It was a temporary situation but that didn't make it any less undignified. He climbed up the glass, until he met the rim of the glass, and tumbled back down. Eventually, he gave up on escape, instead focusing on sitting on top of the piece of fruit provided and slurped up the juices with his proboscis -- one he shouldn't even have, this was not a trait of a silk moth! But he was going to enjoy this, so he morphed himself a mouth to eat. Take that evolution, another win for magic. And now he could screech and squeak at Vis loudly, demanding him to put more fruit into the jar.

Both of his parents are mages at the College of Sapiarchs. His mother is named Erillanwe and she was born in 3E 224. His father is named Ormurel and he was born in 3E 207. They both have extended their lives through magical means and outlive Haledar.

He has one brother named Marenil, 24 years older than him. They grew up separately even though they lived together, since Marenil is much older and stayed at the College to study. Haledar left home as soon as he was able (maybe a bit before, shh) to work as a smuggler, then a justiciar, then an assassin.

birthplace:

He was conceived through magical means and born just off the coast of Lillandril in a retired scholar’s home. His parents didn’t want him to enter the College of Sapiarchs before he turned three years old (a custom most scholars practice; they did it with his brother too). He grew up in the city of Lillandril, even when he officially moved with his parents.

job:

When he was sixteen years old (which I hc that more traditional Altmer see as we’d see 9/10yo or so), he stowed away on a cargo ship heading away from the island he lived on. He lived in that ship for a couple months as it traveled to various places in the Summerset Isles, stealing food wherever he could get. He eventually was discovered, though and thrown from the (legal) cargo ship to a company smuggling illegally. 

He worked at that for eleven years, doing occasional side work (read: burglaries) also. He was offered his first kill with the company and took it. He was numb to it at this point. However, his target was a Thalmor justiciar, and just like what happened with Valiane, that’s how he joined the Thalmor. Not as the justiciar’s apprentice, however, he was old enough to do the real initiation. (Field work. As a justiciar. You can imagine it.)

He was a justiciar, a brutal one, as comfortable as it can be. Since I hc that once you reach a certain point in the Thalmor, you’re strongly encouraged to switch positions to preserve anonymity, he did that and became a Kestrel, staying there.

phobias:

He has severe, diagnoseable agoraphobia. He can’t stand walking out in the city and can only do it comfortably at night when people aren’t out. The worst part is even though he knows going with someone he trusts helps him, he doesn’t...trust enough people to do that. He walks around Alinor a couple of times with Valiane during the day <3

Haledar’s also terrified of feeling trapped mentally/metaphorically. This is more of a post-traumatic reaction than an actual phobia.

guilty pleasures:

His idea of a guilty pleasure is much more expansive than most’s. He’d consider getting up at 7 or eating more than once a day a guilty pleasure. Maybe he’s not the one to ask about this.

introvert/extrovert: Very, very introverted. He can’t imagine how Valiane goes to multiple meetings and events every day and travels so much. He can stomach a lot of things but talking to people? Definitely not.

organized/disorganized: Organized. He’s the kind of person who’d use packing cubes, if they existed in 4E Tamriel and he traveled at all. He doesn’t have too many possessions anyway, so there’s not much to keep clean.

close minded/open-minded: Closed-minded.

calm/anxious: Calm. Also level-headed, dangerously so.

disagreeable/agreeable: Agreeable, then he’ll get you back for it. He’ll say yes to something, then retract it.

Geçen hafta sonu olduğu gibi bu hatfada  uygulanacak olan sokağa çıkma yasağı öncesinde vatandaşlar market ve diğer ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak için hazırlıklarını sürdürüyor. İstanbul Valiliği de bu sebeple sokağa çıkma yasağında açık olacak iş yeri, işletme ve kurumlar hakkındaki bilgileri paylaştı. Peki sokağa çıkma yasağında İstanbul'da nereler açık olacak? İstisna kapsamında olan vatandaşlar kimler? Geçtiğimiz günlerde Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan tarafından açıklanan sokağa çıkma yasağı uygulaması 17.04.2020 Cuma günü saat 24:00 ile 19.04.2020 Pazar günü saat 24:00 arasında yapılacak. Vatandaşlar ise İstanbul’da hangi işyeri ve kurumların açık olduğunu, hangi durumların istisna sayıldığını merak ediyor. İşte sokağa çıkma yasağı hakkında İstanbul Valiliği’nden yapılan açıklamalar.. İstanbul'da sokağa çıkma yasağı olduğu süre içerisinde İSTİSNA KAPSAMINDA OLAN VATANDAŞLAR:

Daha önceki Genelgeler kapsamında düzenlenmiş olan (sağlık ve cenaze için verilenler hariç) seyahat izin belgeleri (yola çıkmış olanlar hariç) Pazartesi günü itibariyle geçerli olacaktır. Bu şekilde yapılacak planlama dışında sadece Vefa Sosyal Destek Birimleri ekmek dağıtımını gerçekleştirebilecektir. Gazete dağıtımı, sadece gazete şirketlerinin ring halinde çalışacak kendi dağıtım araçları, tespit edilecek içme suyu dağıtım bayileri ve Vefa Sosyal Destek Birimleri aracılığıyla yapılacaktır (Gazete dağıtımının evlere servis şeklinde yapılması esastır.). “Açık Olacak İş yeri, İşletme ve Kurumlar” ve “İstisna Kapsamında Olan Kişiler” başlıklarında yer alan maddelere yönelik kararların en geç 16.04.2020 Perşembe günü saat 22:00'a kadar alınması gerekiyor. Antes de hablar de los libros quiero destacar la personalidad de Juan Mascaró (1897-1987). Estudió lenguas modernas y orientales en la Universidad de Cambridge e impartió cursos en distintas universidades, entre las que se cuentan la de Barcelona, la de Ceylán y la de Cambridge. Fue precisamente ahí donde tradujo la Bhagavad Gita al inglés, y logró una de las versiones más importantes y populares que se han hecho de tal obra, que él mismo adaptó al castellano . En los años siguientes dedicó su labor a la traducción de los Upanishads y del Dhammapada, lo que le valió su reputación como excepcional estudioso del sánscrito y del pali.

El Dhammapada, considerado como el texto cumbre del canon budista, consta de 423 versos en lengua pali, clasificados en veintiséis capítulos. Upanishads

Uno de los textos fundacionales de la cultura hindú y puerta de entrada a unas enseñanzas vitales milenarias.

«Del engaño condúceme a la Verdad. De la oscuridad condúceme a la Luz. De la muerte condúceme a la Inmortalidad.»

Los Upanishads representan la etapa final de la tradición de los Vedas, y la enseñanza basada en ellos se conoce como Vedanta («conclusión del Veda»). Datan del 400 a. C. y forman el núcleo de gran parte de la filosofía hindú, en la que reviste una importancia fundamental la ecuación de Atman (Sí mismo) con Brahman (el Espíritu), resuelta en el Tat Tvam Asi («Tú eres Ello»). El volumen presente cuenta con el texto original en sánscrito emparejado con la célebre versión de los fragmentos llevada a cabo por Juan Mascaró -vertida a su vez al español por José Manuel Abeleira, también al cuidado de la edición.
