Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are getting candid about the parenting struggles they're facing amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
ET caught up with the Dancing With the Stars pros, along with their 3-year-old son, Shai, via Zoom chat this week, where they showed fans firsthand what quarantining with a toddler 24/7 is like. Throughout the video (which you can watch in the player above), Shai can be seen running back and forth from the camera, giving his parents balloons, singing, showing us trucks and more.
"We are good. We are taking it day by day and trying to find all the amazing positives out of this experience, but it's hard," Peta confessed to ET's Lauren Zima. "I gotta say. It's been difficult sometimes."
"It's a big change. The big plus is that we have the family time, like all the time now, which is incredible," she continued. "But with the gyms being closed and everything, like, we love to work out. We love to get that exercise every single day to keep our minds active, to get up and wake up feeling good."
Luckily, Maks and Peta have still found a way to stay active while engaging with their fans at the same time. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday they've been hosting virtual workouts via Instagram Live.
"Working out and exercising is our life; it's our profession. We will not come out of this without moving the strides so for us, believe it or not, this was a necessary step," Maks explained. "We're in a small, little more compact place, so we felt like [we need to find] what works for us and would work for others."
"We don't have a lot of space to do full-out dancing, but what we can do in our courtyard and inside our house is enough, so to speak," added Peta. "You don't really need anything else but your body weight. When we do our workout sessions, we don't use any weights, nothing like that, because we know people can't necessarily get a hold of that stuff [right now]."
Maks also spoke about how he and Peta are trying to find one-on-one time without the help of a babysitter.
"Mama-papa time lasts like 30 minutes, because as soon as Shai's in bed, we try to watch some Netflix," he shared. "It's a struggle. We pass out on the couch and wake up at, like, 2:30 a.m. It's been interesting."
"We're trying. We're doing our best, everybody's figuring it out," he continued. "We rely so much on outside help, it's crazy, so this is a good time for people to reconnect as families and figure this out. Be together and know how to spend that time."
Meanwhile, Maks' brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, just celebrated his one-year wedding anniversary with Jenna Johnson. Though the two weren't able to go out and about, they still found a way to make the day feel special while quarantined with Maks and Peta.
"1 year down, eternity to go 💫 Happy 1st Anniversary my love.. crazy to think that exactly a year ago we were celebrating with all of our closest friends and family!" Jenna gushed on Instagram. "And although this isn't how we were meant to spend our first anniversary, I’m incredibly grateful to spend it snuggled up next to you safe and sound. Thank you for the greatest year of my life. I love you and I LOVE being your wifey."
"I am so grateful that it's you that I get to call my wife, that it's you I get to wake up next to, that it's you I get to love for life, you I get to have and eat my cake too," Val wrote on his own Instagram. "Rhyme aside, I love you dearly, lucky to have you and hold you near me. What a privilege I've been given, you're gods gift that keeps on giving. I love you. More than I love words that rhyme, more than music more than wine, go to the general and save some time."
"I love you more than humor, you inspire me to do more, to be true more, honestly I can’t imagine loving you more," he continued. "But I will, celebrating you daily, you bring something powerful out of me like dairy. I will love you from now till eternity. Happy April 13th, our wedding anniversary. ♥️"
Tune into Entertainment Tonight on Thursday to see the full interview with Maks and Peta.

Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson have given fans the ultimate happiness: A real-life “Dancing with the Stars” fairytale.
Jenna started dancing when she was three years old and fell in love with it immediately. Her two older sisters are dancers, and, as a child, she would follow them into their dance classes. “I think dance is a great way for me to express myself fully,” she tells INLOVE Magazine. “It’s when I feel my most confident, empowered, and my best. I absolutely love it.”
For Val, dance has been a vehicle for him to express himself creatively and athletically. It gave him the tools to become competitive; to know what victory feels like, what defeat feels like. “It’s given me a whole world of experience that I took into my life. I think dance has shaped the person that I am in a lot of ways,” he shared in our interview.
The two danced their way into each other’s hearts after meeting on season 18 of “Dancing with the Stars.” In April of 2019, they married. Season 28 of the hit ABC show welcomed the return of both dancers – now Mr. and Mrs. Chmerkovskiy.
In our recent interview, the pair recalled the first time they got to perform together on the show. It was love at first step.
Sari: Did you ever imagine that your love for dancing would lead you to find the love of your life? Jenna Johnson: I never imagined that joining a silly little dance show would lead me to my husband. It’s funny because I actually met him the first day of my very first rehearsal on “DWTS,” and I kind of knew immediately that this was it; he was the one. Val Chmerkovskiy: Not really, but also a little bit. I’ve been married to dance. I’ve been in love with dance, and so I knew that somewhere in that vicinity, I’m going to meet the love of my life. But it’s really important to separate the two and realize I’m in love with Jenna because of the person she is, not the dancer she is. That’s what introduced us to each other, but not what kept us together.
Sari: What was the difference like returning in season 28 as a married couple? Jenna: It’s the best. I’m even more stressed watching him than I am my own dance. It’s great. I wouldn’t be able to handle the show without his support, his love, and his encouragement, so, it’s even better being a married couple. Val: It’s special, in the sense that you get to see your wife surprise you. [One day] I had to do a double-take and was like, “Dang, that’s my wife. She’s fire.” So, that’s cool. But sometimes it’s challenging because my priorities at work are my priorities in my life. And it’s not just through my wife; a lot of time is with my brother Maks or my sister-in-law, Peta. I mean, I don’t talk to Peta at all during the day. We respect each other’s priorities during the day. We know we have other jobs to do besides husband, wife, brother, sister relationships at set – we’re at work. Once we check out, it’s like a switch, and it’s very different.
Sari: You had two wedding celebrations. Do you feel like you got to do everything in the second one that you didn’t get to do in the first? Jenna: I feel that I accomplished all my hopes, wishes, and dreams in my first reception in L.A., but the second reception was a little more stripped down just for my family and friends in Utah. I feel I got to be more present in the moment because the anxiety of the wedding day wasn’t there anymore. We could just focus on our families and being in love in the moment, so I am grateful that we did both celebrations. Val: You know what, yeah. The second reception was exactly the opposite of the first. I would say the first one was this festive, really huge celebration. The second one was more of just the gathering, where people appreciated the union and appreciated each other. That was cool.
Sari: You also wrote your own vows. What were the words you heard from each other that touched your heart the most that day? Jenna: I remember that Val mentioned my parents. That meant a lot to me because they are my most prized possessions in life. They are my best friends and my whole world. He had mentioned that I come from a really intelligent father and a really strong and powerful mother. I will never forget those words because I love my parents and I think that they are the greatest. I love that he loves them. Val: She had some beautiful words which were very surprising, because she normally doesn’t write, but when she does, she expresses herself really well. I like to think I’ve influenced that a lot; that I’ve ignited that romance gene in her. Honestly, she could have been saying anything; it was the way she looked so sincere in her eyes, her spirit, and her energy. I know that my trust and love is unwavering in her. I have zero doubt that she loves me; it’s a beautiful thing. The vows were special, but I was just trying to hurry up and be her husband and make her my wife.
Sari: Your proposal was epic. Do you think there can ever be another romantic gesture that would top that? Jenna: Absolutely. Every day, Val somehow surprises me with some romantic gesture, and I’ve got to keep up with him, actually. I mean, that engagement was everything. He wins. Val: I know, that was a great day. I set a crazy bar for myself. I’m my own worst enemy sometimes, you know. Even now, I will do these beautiful gems of poetry, and then it’s not the same. I’ve got to top that. I will try for sure to top it. Definitely, I will try; that’s not going to stop me. But I don’t know what that will be yet.
Sari: The two of you seem to have shared so much at this point; dancing, traveling, fame. Is there anything you have yet to share that you just can’t wait for? Jenna: We haven’t shared babies yet, which will be fun, and I can’t wait for that. It’s not going to happen yet, but I’m really excited to have our own little humans that are ours. I can’t wait to see what they look like. I hope they get his curly hair and thick, little Russian accent. Val: Everything. I don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface of who we are, who we are going to be, and how we’re going to evolve together and separately. Honestly, I think we’re in a vacuum; in a bubble. We’re so caught up in our work that we’re not even close to realizing our full potential for being a full human. Not just professionally, but the type of person Jenna will be. Obviously, becoming parents eventually, it will propel us to a completely different stage of being a human. There are still so many things we’re going to do together that I’m very excited about.
Sari: Outside of dancing, do you have a favorite pastime that you like to do together? Jenna: Val and I love to eat, so I will do anything to come home from work, find a cute restaurant, and just go relax and talk with my husband over some yummy delicious food. Val: We love to go to museums together, that’s my favorite. I love doing anything where we’re learning together. For me, that’s really building a bond and a friendship. Building experiences where you grow and learn from something. I love traveling with her. I love going to museums and discovering and learning new things, that is what brings us together.
Sari: What does being “in love” mean to you? Jenna: Love has shifted for me over the years. I think once I found the right love; it is pure, honest, and true. It is being yourself and being in love with who you are when you are with somebody that loves you for you. I think Val has really shown me that and brought out the best in me. I’m grateful that I get to be loved by him, and I get to love him. Val: Being in love means a sacrifice for a greater love, a greater feeling; a greater cause. Great love doesn’t come to everybody, because not everybody works for it, not everybody is willing to sacrifice for it.
“I think there are a few different types of love,” Jenna added. “There’s romantic love, there’s family love, friendship love, and there’s also the love you give yourself. I think that it’s just as important as any of these other relationships. I’ve had to do some self-discovery with my own self-love. I think it’s a journey that everyone needs to take time to find and really cherish. I think once you find out who you are, what you want, and appreciate yourself for who you are, it’s the best type of love you can receive.”
“When you commit yourself to others, you get back more than when you just act in selfish ways,” Val says. “That comes with love, with relationships, with your work, with your talent, with anything. If you want something great, you got to be able to give something for it.”
You can catch Val and Jenna on tour with “Dancing with the Stars” this winter.

The Chmerkovskiy’s (Part 14)
Hey Guys!!! Here is the next chapter!! I really loved writing this one so I hope you enjoy reading it. I’m thinking two or three more chapters to wrap it up!! Thanks for all the support! You guys are the greatest!
After the wedding everyone, all normal guest went back to their rooms as they had two hours before the reception. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen gathered for picture time as they had decided that the pictures should be taken after the ceremony. The girls posed first, doing every position that the photographer suggested, and the guys followed. They then came together to take photos as one big group. Afterwards, they all watched as the photographer took photos of Sharna and Val alone in different poses. All together it took about an hour. The photographer showed a few of them to Sharna and Val to make sure they were happy. “Is there anyway, Me, You and Val can take one more?”
“Sure? You have an idea?”
“Sort of involves taking a trip somewhere.”
“We have time.”
Val smiled, knowing exactly what his wife was thinking.
The three of them got in the car and drove to the hospital. Everyone was looking at them as they walked through the hall whispering congratulations, smiling and waving. Sharna knocked on Peta’s door and they both peaked their heads in, “Surprise.”
Peta gasped, “Oh my god. Oh my God. You’re married!!” They each bent down and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“What are you doing here? What about the party?”
“We had some time. I couldn’t not get a picture with my maid of honor on my wedding day.”
“Shar, I look awful.”
“You look beautiful.”
“Except, she knew you would say that. So she made me bring this.” Val handed her a palate of makeup. Peta laughed, “Thank you.”
“Where’s the little munchkin? Can i see him?”
“You can!!” Peta turned to the nurse, “Can you go get Sam?”
The nurse nodded and left. Peta put on light makeup while the nurse was gone but when she returned, she gave Peta the baby in her arms. Sharna sat on one side of the bed, as Val sat on the other. All three of them were look down at the baby, admiring him.
“Wait. Stay there.” The photographer changed her lens and snapped a few shots. “That’s the perfect picture.”
Peta turned to Sharna, “I’m so so sorry. I don’t know how I’m ever going to make this up to you.”
“Godmother?” Sharna threw her head back and laughed, “I’m kidding. This day couldn’t be anymore perfect. You’re not there, but you’re in here.” Sharna pointed to her heart. “Nothing changes that.”
Peta gave Sharna a one armed hug as she held the baby with the other. “I love you, babe.”
“That makes two of us.” Val crossed his arms. “We should go.”
Sharna nodded, “We’ll see you on facetime soon.” She have Peta a kiss on the cheek.
They got back in their limo, Val took her hand as they sat in the backseat together, “You ok?” He stroked her hand with his thumb.
Sharna nodded. “I’m the happiest I have ever been.” She leaned in to kiss him and rested her free hand on his cheek. “You’re my husband.”
The party started soon after that. Everyone was mingling at the cocktail hour as the wedding party prepared to make their entrance. Nicole fluffed out Sharna’s dress so it was perfect for the entrance. She then straightened Val’s bowtie. She put her hand on his chest and then brushed his cheek, “I can’t believe you’re married.”
Sharna laughed as she watched Nicole’s interaction with him.
“Thank you for everything, Nicole. You really made this day so special for the both of us.” Sharna put her hand on her arm.
“It’s my pleasure. You guys are kind of my family.” Nicole said sarcastically as she laughed. “Let’s go make an entrance.”
The DJ started by welcoming everyone to the reception and then began calling the names of people in the wedding party. Maks once again, entered alone but this time he was carrying an ipad with him which had Peta on facetime. Everyone then silenced and waiting for the next words, “And now. It is my pleasure. To announce, for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Valentin Chmerkovskiy.” They walked out and everyone stood up and cheered. They walked to the center of the floor, and their first danced music began to play. Val pulled her into him as they started dancing in slow circles. He mouthed the words that they knew all too well. She looked up at him and whispered, “Do you remember what happened that last time we slow danced together at a wedding?”
“I do.” He leaned over and kissed her just as he did that night during Maks and Peta’s party. Thank goodness we have some pretty pesty friends that wouldn’t let us get away with it, right?”
“Yea, I’d say we’re pretty lucky.” She rested her head on his shoulder and they continued dancing. The other couples in the room joined them on the outer edge of the dancefloor and they all danced to the beautiful song the couple had picked.
“Everything but you.” Val whispered as he kissed the top of her head when the song ended.
Everyone clapped as the song had ended and Val kissed his bride one more time. They moved to sit at their table wit the wedding party as everyone took their respective seats at their assigned tables. They were served the appetizer first, followed by a salad and then the main meal. There was a large segment of dancing but when everyone settled back down for dessert Maks got on stage and clinged hus glass. Emma was standing next to him but back a little bit so he was slightly in front of her.
Everyone went quiet and listened to him speak. “So, as many of you know Val and Sharna selected Me and my beautiful wife as Best Man and Maid of Honor. We graciously expected but our second child had plans of its own and decided to arrive two weeks early last night, so my wife is currently in the hospital recovering. Emma will be reading Peta’s speech on her behalf and Peta is right over there on the ipad watching. Maks waved at the ipad that Alan was holding. I’ll go first though. So, when Val first asked me to be his best man, I said to myself “Oh shit. How am I going to top the speech he gave me at my wedding. Because the truth is, he summed up our relationship perfectly. Val is my best friend and will be my best friend for the rest of our lives. When I was 7 years old, my parents told me that I was going to have a little brother. I never in my life imagined what that little brother would mean to me. I’ve watched him grow up, make something huge out of nothing, follow in my footsteps and become a badass ballroom dancer, and even make his mistakes. And believe me he’s made plenty of them.” Everyone laughed as Maks continued, “But that’s ok, because we learn from mistakes. He finally learned that Sharna, my sister in law, was the one for him, and he finally learned what he deserves in life. Someone who loves him for him, someone who lets him be himself. He found someone who is practically the feminine version of him. And thank God they found each other because I think all of us might have blown a fit if the two of them didn’t figure out what was right in front of them every day of their lives. Val, Sharna, I’m so happy you guys have come together and love each other immensely. A love, like the two of you have, nothing can break. I love you guys with all my heart. Emma?”
Emma stepped forward, “Oh wow. This just became real.” Emma looked up from the paper, “That’s not me saying that. Peta literally has it written down that she was going to say that. But anyway, back to the paper.” Everyone laughed. Sharna shook her head giggling as Val threw his head back smiling. Emma continued once they had settled down, “I’ve never had the opportunity to do this before, and I can say without a shadow of the doubt that I wouldn’t rather do it for anybody else. Sharna you have been my best friend for years I can’t even count and I am so lucky that Dancing with the Stars brought us together. Although I haven’t know you for as long as Maks has known Val-unless we’re long lost sisters which is totally possible-I feel like I’ve known forever. You are my best friend and have seen me at my worst and my best. And I think I can say the same for you. See, the job of a best friend is to help a friend when their upset, but I haven’t really been able to fulfill that duty because Val makes you happy all the damn the time. Sorry for my french, but ya know it’s true. And I couldn’t be happier. To watch you go from being that single girl at my wedding, to a taken girl, to an engaged girl, to now a married girl as been such a joy. To see your relationship with my brother in law, flourish has been amazing. The love you two have each other can’t be replicated by anything and I now know that it will never have to. You know, I said to you on my wedding day, that there is a possibility you already met your guy, and boy was I right!!” Everyone clapped and laughed, “Not only had you met him, but you practically saw him every day. I’m so happy he makes you so happy because you deserve everything and more. I love you, S. Burgatroyd Forever. She’s mine, Val. Don’t ever forget that.” Emma paused and then looked back up to take in everyone enjoying the speech and then saw a few more sentences scribbled at the bottom, “Well it was supposed to end there but now I have to add this. My baby decided to come two weeks early. Misbehavin from the start, and I’m so sorry I couldn’t share your special day with you. But, know that we have plenty of says to share now, cause not only are we now sister-in-laws, We’re all The Chmerkovskiy’s.”

Confessions
This is a short chapter but it kind of explains everything. Again, it’s one of those chapters that I don’t like but … oh well, I just wanted to upload!
Masterlist – Plot: Zendaya gets an insight into Val’s logic.
Confessions (Chapter Twenty Three)
“Is this what I think it is?” Val glanced out of his window, his eyebrows frowning together.
“Yes.” Zendaya folded her arms against her chest defiantly. She hadn’t just blindly decided to get into a car with Val. She had a plan and it was falling into place, minute by minute. “And I’d appreciate it, if after we’re done here, you go inside willingly.”
“What is this, some kind of intervention?”
“Yeah, kinda.”
Truth was, Zendaya had gotten Val to drive them to a mental health facility that specialised in criminal convicts. It was an establishment that she’d had time to research speedily; a place of rehabilitation and aid. Despite all the pain and resentment that she harboured for Val, there was still the smallest part of her that cared. Val had been a mentor, a teacher, a friend and she couldn’t just hand him over to the authorities. Zendaya was a smart girl and she knew something had to have triggered Val’s erratic behaviour. So, she figured this was the best place for him. It was a place for him to reflect and think but also get the assistance that he needed to transcend towards the Val she once knew and loved.
“I don’t need help.” And Val’s denial was one of the many signs that he needed help, reassuring Zendaya that she’d made the right decision by bringing him here. “This is absurd, we’re leaving.” Val started the engine up again but Zendaya grabbed at his bicep, her touch gentle. The contradiction of her previous words and her ginger touch had Val’s actions halting instantly. This was Zendaya’s second strategy. Val had just confessed that he wasn’t planning on releasing any of the leverage he had on her which meant that she had the upper hand. She was going to toy with him until he was doing exactly what she wanted; walking into the facility on his own. Mental health was no joke to Zendaya and she would prefer if Val took the effortless way out by admitting himself into rehab. She wasn’t going to force him but that only left her with one other option – calling 911.
Her family and friends would tell her that calling the police on Val was the best option, it was the smart option, but Zendaya couldn’t bring herself to do it. If her dad and Tom had it their way, Val would be locked up for the entirety of his adult life. Zendaya didn’t want that weighing down on her for years. She wanted to fix things, not just end them.
“Val, talk to me.” Zendaya let go off his arm as soon as she knew he wasn’t going to take of speeding. “Where did this all start?”
“That day,” Zendaya’s question seemed to trigger Val, his mind transporting him back to the day he’d first met her in that dingy dance studio. “I remember being so taken aback by your beauty. No makeup, your hair down; I felt like the biggest pervert when you told me how old you were-“
“It was never creepy.” Zendaya admitted honestly, having instantly gotten big brother vibes from him. “I just … I want to understand it, you-”
“You’ve always understood me!” Zendaya just shook her head. The man in front of her was the furthest thing from the Val she had once felt dearly for. “I just, I knew this was the only way to make everything fall into place-“
“Did you not think about maybe asking me on a date?” Again, Zendaya was trying to make sense of it all. How had a perfectly sane seeming guy concluded that blackmail had been the best way to woo a girl; it didn’t correlate. Val had had plenty of girlfriends before, why had Zendaya been the one to receive the unconventional approach? “Why resort to this? Because who knows, you trying to court me could have worked, you know what I mean? You don’t know fate … we could have been together if you’d actually tried.”
“I … you were the only girl that mama and papa ever liked. In fact, you were the only girl any of my family liked; successful, beautiful, funny. I couldn’t mess up. Once I knew you were the one, that was all that mattered.”
“But why?” Zendaya threw her hands up with emphasis. “Why did nothing other than me matter? Val, you love what you do, dancing has been your life since you were a kid, why did that change for me?”
“You know after Grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I realised, I couldn’t keep taking everything for granted. I’d watched you slip through my fingers with Trevor and I couldn’t let that happen again.”
It was the eureka moment that Zendaya had been seeking for, for months. It was where it all pieced together, Val’s head falling lifelessly against his steering wheel. Val had been raised in a close-knit family, a place where family meant absolutely everything. It had been his Grandma’s slow loss of memory that had catalysed his need to want to settle down. His Grandma was like one of his friends, a woman of wisdom and charisma. And as soon as he saw her life start to dwindle, he knew he needed to stop looking at the world through rose tinted spectacles. Val was facing a true reality and it was more bitter than he could have ever imagined. It was then that he’d began to place a value on his own family; a wife, children, grandchildren. It was his due time to start making memories that were worthwhile because, before he knew it, his Grandma would remember nothing. He wanted her to watch him get married and having and he’d had the epiphany that Zendaya was the suited person for him to have it all with.
That’s when the madness started, when pictures of her with the likes of Trevor Jackson and Tom Holland had started to niggle at every ounce of his being. With Zendaya’s rising career, she was everywhere, and he couldn’t get her out his head. She haunted his days and caressed his dreams. He could picture a happy ending with her, an ending that would make his Grandma the happiest woman on Earth. She had always ready seen Maks’ picturesque life, she just needed the same for the younger Chmerkovskiy brother. It was why Val’s brain had just skipped the years of courtship and falling in love; he wanted the commitment and the comfortability instantly. His logic had decided that going about it through watching Zendaya’s every move was the way forward. This way, he could still be close to her; watch her, admire her.
“I’m sorry about your Grandma, Val, I really am.” Zendaya’s own Grandma was unwell and she understood the graveness of the situation. She couldn’t fathom the thought of her Grandma forgetting about the time that she taught her how to ride a bike or make her first mud pie. They were precious memories that she hoped the two of them could share for an eternity. So, yeah, Zendaya gathered that Val was going through a tough time and it made her feel better that she had decided to bring him here instead of the local precinct. “But look at yourself and think, real hard, would she be proud of you right now? This wasn’t the type of man that she raised you to be-“
“Stop, just stop it.” Zendaya heard Val’s sharp intake of breath and knew she’d hit him where it hurt.
“I’m not trying to be mean.” Zendaya raised her palms to the sky as if she were surrendering. “I just … I want to help. The people in there,” She ushered to the building beside her. “They want to help you.”
“I can’t … I love you and I want us to be together. I want what Grandma always wanted for me-“
“If you love me, you’d let me go.” Zendaya smiled weakly, her voice ominous. “It’s what I’m doing for you, it’s what I need you to do for me.”
Zendaya sat there quietly, watching the gears turn furiously in Val’s head. She was hoping he’d make the right decision but at this point, she couldn’t figure him out. One moment he was staring at her wholly, his eyes boring through her as if he was trying to burn a hole through her. And then the next, he was out of the car; his eyes never leaving hers. Zendaya’s whole body stiffened, unsure of whether she was actually abiding by her request. Everything in the world had stilled, it was just the two of them - the two of them saying their silent goodbyes.
She watched him as he walked into the facility and she let a singular tear dribble down her cheek as he signed himself in. A small, strangely bitter smile was sent in his direction before she let out a breath she didn’t know she’d been holding.
Was it all finally over? Only time would tell, but for now, Zendaya had a premiere to attend.

DWTS S25 Premiere Week 1 Recap / Review
DWTS S25 Week 1...Here we go..Here we go again
Recaps [Here]
Three Musketeers: Carrie Ann, Len & Bruno are back. You know as much as I love Julianne as a judge & I really do, as well as some guest judges, it’s nothing like the seeing the 3 original still kicking after 25 seasons.
Only one judge speaking per couple, ehhh right. lol
Next Week: 2 Eliminations & 2 Dances. Monday: Ballroom Night & Tuesday: Latin Night
1.Terrell Owens & Cheryl Burke - Cha Cha (5+5+5=15)
Cheryl was the secret 13th pro, no real surprise, she’s been away for a bit, but they almost always come back (looking at you too Mark Ballas). I’m just gonna put it out there, I’m not the biggest Terrell Owens fan but I won’t let it cloud my judgement of his dancing. I actually think he could do well, DWTS loooves a tall, dark, football player with twinkly toes.. Cheryl is a good pick for him. This was a nice, standard cha-cha for a premiere nothing too exciting, he’s got rhythm & musicality. His footwork was a lot cleaner than expected, obviously could be sharper among other things. He’s kind of flat-footed, but he has the work-hard mentality that could see him trend up mid-season.
2. Debbie Gibson & Alan Bersten - Foxtrot (6+5+6=17) I’m familiar with Debbie’s long career but knowing she struggles with Lyme disease & his pushing herself to the max for this show gives me a whole a new respect for her. Alan has been busting his butt in the troupe & as a stand-in for some seasons so it’s nice to see him get a chance to show his stuff as a pro. Beautiful foxtrot to debut with, her & Alan are cute together. Debbie is very striking on the floor, there are times when she was right on it & then a little stiff and weal posture at times. I can sense a breakthrough coming. 3.Sasha Pieterse & Gleb Savchenko - Cha Cha (6+6+6=18) I have never watched Pretty Little Liars so she’s a virtual stranger to me but I predict she’ll be around for some weeks with the PLL fan-base. She seems to have fun personality. Gleb is not my favorite, he has yet to truly impress me. I think Sasha was holding back her Fierce (prepare for season long Sasha Fierce puns, it’s happening...).She seems to be comfortable out there but hopefully she’ll really let loose sooner than later. There’s a lot more there. Best footwork so far, I just wished they used more of the floor...
4. Drew Scott & Emma Slater - Foxtrot (6+5+5=16) I’m one of the 10 people that don’t watch HGTV, but I do know who the Property Brothers but I don’t have an opinion on them, except Drew is the more attractive one, don’t @ me. What I do know is Drew got lucky getting paired with reigning champ & DWTS sweetheart Emma. Their popularity should take them far. Easily my favorite choreography of the night so far, it was charming,, on the nose, but pretty jam packed, she made him work more than any other celeb so far. Len is right, that he’s pretty clunky with his feet & hands, hopefully that can be sorted over time. I can’t be too hard on him he had more to do than a lot of celebs.
5. Barbra Corcoran & Keo Motespe - Cha Cha (5+4+5=14) I’m probably the biggest Shark Tank fan that exist, don’t ask why I just am. So I’m super jacked to see Barabra she’s one of the best and most entertaining sharks. I hope she doesn’t get cut too soon. What can I say about this dance, except I loved every minute of it. I love seeing people live their best life, especially people of a certain age. You got money, power, respect & fame, why not live as much as you can , what’t there to lose? Barbara totally embodies that. This dance definitely had Patti Labelle “In Da Club” vibes. Of course she can greatly improve& I hope she does, but most importantly I hope she continues to have as much fun as possible.
6. Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold - Tango (8+7+7=22) I’m not a jet setting millionaire so I never saw Hamilton, so I’m not familiar but he’s with Lindsay & that’s enough for me pay attention to him. They seem poised to go really far. He’s charming, cute & has a lot of promise. This tango was fast as we’ve come to like on this show, and pretty sharp. Best footwork, choreography & partnering so far.
7. Nick Lachey & Peta Murgatoryd - Cha Cha (6+6+6=18) Obviously, Nick’s brother Drew won Season 2 with Cheryl but who cares anymore, that was back when the show was less flashy & looked like it was shot on VHS. I’m not really in the mood to hear about this “rivalry” all season. Because, we unfortunately have to focus on Nick vs his wife Vanessa with Maks this season. I was over the competing couples when Alexa Vega & Carlos Pena were on & I’m over it now. It is cute they’re respectively paired with married couple Peta & Maks. Nick is not the most rhythmic celeb, with ironic because Peta is one of the more rhythmic pro’s. He’s stiff but what he lacks in technique, he makes up for in enthusiasm. I’m sensing Vanessa might be the better dancer of the two, at least I’m hoping.
8. Vanessa Lachey & Maksim Chmerkovskiy - Cha Cha (7+7+7=21) I gotta say marriage & fatherhood looks great on Maks. I’m glad my prediction was right, Vanessa is better than Nick. She’s actually really good, one of the best of the night. Maks’ sharp footwork suited her well. Her placement is clean, swift & sharp. One of the most synced partnerships tonight, I want to see her go far.
9. Frankie Muniz & Witney Carson - Foxtrot (7+6+6=19) I haven’t heard much about Frankie since early 2000′s except his car crash some years back but he looks healthy, happy & wealthy (those Malcom in the Middle checks had to be nice). They really benefited from a great, emotional song (Sign of The Times). For someone who once broke his back you couldn’t tell, his extension was really good. To be so shy, Frankie dances very broad, he’s got a great early connection with Witney. Definitely a highlight of the night.
10. Nikki Bella & Artem Chigventsev - Tango (7+7+6=20) Nikki is about the only name I recognize from the WWE Diva’s. It’ll be interesting to see if she can reign in her dominance to let Artem lead her. Len is absolutely right, her looking down almost ruined the dance, I thought she was uncomfortable at first then I realized she was just watching her feet. When she was in hold it was great, her legs are super long which make for great lines. She’s got great confidence & attack, can Artem contain it?
11. Derek Fisher & Sharna Burgess - Salsa (6+6+6=18) Derek is Laker legend, I’m excited he’s paired with Sharna who plays no games. NBA players need redemption on this show, Derek might be the guy to do it. His hips & footwork will need work, I think he needs to loosen up more, but he’s super enthusiastic about the whole experience. That ending was super close, Sharna almost ate it..
12. Victoria Arlen & Val Chmerkovksiy - Cha Cha (7+6+6=19) Victoria’s story is remarkable being paralyzed for 10 years, competing in the Paralympics, winning Gold & Silver & learning to walk a year ago & now DWTS & she can’t even feel her legs. Like what are you doing with your life right now? Victoria has a winner’s spirit, she’s incredibly resilient and partner with Val that can take her a super long way. Plus she can actualy dance, there’s no sympathy card in this pairing, Val gave her some challenging choreograph, not just for her situation. The routine was fun, uplifting & matched her spirit and personality. The fact that she can’t feel her legs just blows my mind when watching her dance and sync with Val. The placement was great & clean. These two are ones to watch, she’s got a great story, she’s got Val & she’s got moves.
13. Lindsey Sterling & Mark Ballas - (7+8+8=22) Lindsey is an incredible violinist who is no stranger to the DWTS stage, having guest performed & she’s also close friends with the Hough / Ballas family already, so this seemed like a natural pairing all around. Obviously great to have Mark and his hair back on the show, he’s a personal favorite with Val. This was by far the single best performance of the night. Quick, sharp & technically sound. Mark took a risk with that hip-hop breakdown but Lindsey murdered it. It was complete flip on what you expected from her as Len noted, something Mark is good for. She’s such a natural and exuberant performer & Mark is such a seasoned pro, it’s a match made in heaven. Honestly, I believe Mark has been robbed many times (Chelsea Kane, Katherine Jenkins, Paige Vanzant) it would be nice to see him win his so long overdue 3rd mirrorball trophy & Lindsey might just be the partner to get it done. Tied for the top with Jordan & Lindsay
Honestly it’s so many celebs that I enjoyed Week 1, I can’t honestly imagine what 2 I would want go home next week.
Next Week: 2 Eliminations & 2 Dances. Monday: Ballroom Night & Tuesday: Latin Night

Round 2 Drew Scott & Emma Slater (Jazz) - 8, 8, 8 (24) Victoria Arlen & Val Chmerkovskiy (Charleston) - 9, 10, 10 (29) Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold (Jive) - 10, 10, 10 (30) Lindsey Sterling & Mark Ballas (Tango) - 9, 9, 10 (29) Frankie Muniz & Witney Carson (Paso Doble) - 9, 8, 9 (26)
Lowest Scoring Dance(s): Drew & Emma’s Tango and Jazz Highest Scoring Dance(s): Jordan & Lindsay’s Jive Eliminated: Victoria Arlen & Val Chmerkovskiy
Favorite Outfit(s): Jordan & Lindsay’s Jive Overscored: No one Underscored: No one Favorite Song: “Carnaval de Paris” - Dario G Least Favorite Dance: Drew & Emma’s Jazz Most Favorite Dance: Jordan & Lindsay’s Jive Favorite Choreography: Jordan & Lindsay’s Jive
Overall thoughts on the night Round 1 DREW & EMMA - okay, stop reading this and go rewatch the performance. I want each and every one of you to go back and individually watch all of the pros/stars’ faces when Drew takes off his pants - it’s so freaking funny. It’s no secret that Drew is probably the weakest star left on the show, but he knows how to entertain, and so does Emma. I think that’s why he has made it this far in the competition. The kilts were hilarious and it was so funny when the other pro dancers came out. VICTORIA & VAL - meh, okay. This seemed more like a trio and I think Val could have done something better with the idea. Victoria did great with what she was given, though. JORDAN & LINDSAY - very sweet story and song. I agree that the performance itself may not have been the best fit for the story since the Argentine Tango is supposed to be sexy, so I wish they had been given a different dance style. Was enjoyable nonetheless. LINDSEY & MARK - Mark is probably my favorite choreographer when it comes to Contemporary pieces on the show. He always executes them the best (in my opinion) and tonight showcased that. FRANKIE & WITNEY - ahhh why this song haha definitely not my favorite number from these two. A little cluttered and chaotic.
Round 2 DREW & EMMA - wow, way to set Drew up lol. Corbin & Karina’s dance with Witney is one of the most memorable dances on the show and I think that put a lot of pressure on Drew and Emma and it was evident. VICTORIA & VAL - much better, Val! Comparing this number to Amber & Derek’s is interesting - A & D’s was very modern (from what I remember) while V & V’s was very classic and I think that was a good idea on Val’s part. I’m still amazed that Victoria is able to do this, I was kind of worried when I saw that they had Charleston to be honest, but they pulled it off and they went out on a high note. JORDAN & LINDSAY - gaahhhhh I loved it! I loved Paige & Mark’s Jive and I love Jordan & Lindsay’s just as much. LINDSEY & MARK - I think these two kind of got the short end of the stick because Meryl & Maks were such a memorable couple and had a lot of chemistry on and (and many say off) the floor, which I don’t think Lindsey & Mark quite have. However, it was a great number and it was nice to see Meryl again! FRANKIE & WITNEY - this was probably the most recognizable dance because they chose to use a lot of choreography from Apolo & Julianne’s Paso doble. I love that they were chosen to re-imagine this dance.
Very sad to see Victoria go! I wish she had been given a different pro - she and Val didn’t seem to have much chemistry.
Who I think should get eliminated on Monday night: Drew Scott & Emma Slater Who I think will get eliminated on Monday night: Frankie Muniz & Witney Carson (please prove me wrong!)

From selecting her magical dream dress to a surprise bachelorette party in Las Vegas, Dancing with the Stars pro Jenna Johnson is living every bride’s fantasy as she counts down to becoming Mrs. Chmerkovskiy.
“It is every girl’s magical warehouse of wedding dresses,”Jenna gushed of her experience at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC. The 24-year-old dancer said her search to find the perfect dress for her upcoming wedding to fellow DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy will be featured on an upcoming episode of the hit TLC reality seriesSay Yes to the Dress.
“I watched it growing up all the time, so to be able to go there and pick out my dress and meet Randy, Lisa and the whole crew was a dream,” she continued, when ET caught up with her and Chmerkovskiy while they tasted wedding cakes at Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica.
Fans got a glimpse of Jenna’s upcoming episode when the 24-year-old dancershared her trip to Kleinfeld Bridal on social media in January. "I said YES to the Dress!!!!!!!" the bride-to-be captioned a smiling pic, showing her standing on a circular platform wearing a white mini-dress with heels and a black blazer.
“I went in and I knew what I wanted,” Jenna told ET’s guest correspondent, Telemundo’s Francisco Cáceres. “It was the first one and I was like ‘I know this is it.’ I tried on MANY, but I just knew.”
“I tried on a lot of dresses [before going to Kleinfeld’s] and I know what looks good on me and what doesn’t, so I’m pretty particular too,” she added.
But the one thing fans haven’t caught a glimpse of yet is which dress she said “yes” to! Jenna’s future sister-in-law, Peta Murgatroyd, who was on hand for the big moment, teased that Jenna looked like a “goddess” in the gown she selected.
"It was actually amazing, like, I've never been into that place before... I was astounded when I walked in," Peta recently told ET’s Katie Krause of the crew’s experience at Kleinfeld’s. "I think I could tell by her face and what she was saying that that was it and, like, when you know, you know."
“I can’t wait to see her,” Val said, admitting that he also doesn’t know what gown his future wife selected, joking that the dress will be a “marshmallow of beauty”. But how does Val imagine his bride will look as she walks down the aisle? One word — “Gorgeous.”
Jenna also shared that she had a pretty “epic” bachelorette party, when the ladies from the DWTS Winter tour and fellow DWTS pro Lindsay Arnold (who flew in for the festivities) surprised the bride with a trip to Absinthe in Las Vegas for the big night. The group also decorated one of the tour buses for a girl-only party – No Val’s Allowed.
“It was epic and everything I hoped my bachelorette party would be. And to have it in Vegas with all of them, it was so much fun,” Jenna said about getting a night off from dancing and wedding planning. When asking how raunchy the party got or if it stayed pretty PG-13, Jenna laughed, saying “No, I think I would’ve been traumatized.”
For Val’s bachelor party, his friends took him to Tulum for a getaway that also coincided with his birthday.
“All my friends are fathers and husbands and they were so excited,” he explained. “Like the thing about me is I want something laid back. I’m not trying to turn up and they were a little upset about that.”
Val also gushed about his friends celebrating this special time in his life with the “sentimental” trip, since he is the “last wolf” to settle down. And though the party may not have gotten too wild, he admitted that were was quite a bit of mescal consumed during the vacation.
Speaking of wild, Val expects the wedding reception to be a pretty impressive dance party, especially since Sasha Farber and Emma Slater helped them find their wedding band — Eli’s Band — a group who can handle all of the pop, Latin & Russian music they’ve requested for the playlist, plus their first dance tune “La Vie en Rose”.
“There’s gonna be a lot of dancing,” he predicts. “And I’m excited for that because obviously we have a crowd of friends and our guests are some of the best dancers in the world. But again the magic is in that spontaneity!”

I’m bored, is your anon still “worried”?
Girl......the level that Grazypants has to live on must be so intense. Can you imagine being this type of person? All of these since May 24.....the top 3 in the time it took me to copy/paste/delete all the asks.
- Val is so MIA its weird
- Val prob got new place and Jenna didn’t yet
- I think Val went to nyc
- Val and Maks in ny?
- Lol Val posting ads... and doesn’t look like he’s in new home with fam
- Weird Val didn’t post about moving
- Funny how Val won’t post
- Weird Val and Jen will just post ads with each other for work and that’s it
- When couples stop posting with each other that’s usually when they’re having issues and how fans find out they broke up.... so suspecting that something happened isn’t far off considering it’s been 3 weeks
- Lol something is clearly off with Val and Jenna
- It’s been 3 weeks since they’ve posted with each other.... I feel like that is a little weird tho
- Em Taylor and Koko are shooting for Val and Maks app... I just wonder why they didn’t involve wife’s
- Jenna would prob post for engagement anniversary and looks like she isn’t
- They def stop wearing their wedding rings
- I bet jen is still in Utah
- I just want to know why Jenna and Val are so quiet
- Ok but Val and Jen haven’t posted in like 2/3 weeks..... most people are posting normal now and Jen always post so something is up
- Val and Jen very very silent
- Lol valenna being real silent
- Is jen ever going to leave Utah
- Jenna never leaving Utah
- Jen def staying in Utah the rest of week
- Jenna is not just vacationing with her family, she has moved back in with her parents. So what is your opinion if you are separated is it still considered cheating.
- I think Jenna left Val, he has been so quiet. He also took off all his info on Instagram and that's why she is in Utah now.
- Ok you have to admit tho whenever Val is away he goes very silent compared to when he’s with Jen
- I just find it weird Val isn’t on Johnson fam vacation as this is the 2nd one he had missed... he’s always preaching “fam first” he seems to only work first
- Yes anon, I agree I know everyone thinks he is cheating with that Alix girl. I actually think its the other girl Yvonne, that works for DWM.
- I just noticed that Val didn't tag Jenna in his story. It feels like the Chmerkovskiy family is completely trying to phase out Jenna. I think they most likely have contracts with 24/7 and DWM that they have to finish out. But, her being in Utah, when they just got back from Utah is not a good sign. I mean if everything was okay, you would think Maks would have tagged Jenna in his post, but he purposely left her out and now Val.
- It’s interesting that none of you see that Val and Jen relationship seems to be hitting a real low.. lol
- Yikes I’m worried for Val and Jen
- Jens been so MIA on social
- Jen has been so quiet on social media
- Jenna didn't write that response to Val's post. That has her agent all over it, just to keep up appearances for the public. Have you noticed that nobody in either of their families have liked or commented on it.

IN THE EPISODE YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT:
• Why Val is so inspired by his parents • How Val and his brother got into dance (and violin) • Val’s (and his parents’) entrepreneurial spirit • Why it’s essential to have pride without the ego • Why mentorship is important to Val • Forming connections and making an impact with others • Val’s 50-city tour • Why Val loves seeing others who are passionate about what they do • And much more…
SHOW NOTES
As some of you know, my husband and I are huge fans of ballroom dancing, so it’s only natural that we’re huge fans of Dancing with the Stars’ Val Chmerkovskiy. After spending time with him earlier this year in Guatemala with Pencils of Promise, I just knew I needed to have him on the show to share more about his story and why making an impact is so important.
Born in Ukraine, at age 8, he and his family immigrated to Brooklyn, NY. As you can imagine it was a challenging transition but his parents inspired him to meet challenges by never backing away from theirs. To help occupy him and his brother’s time, they were enrolled in both violin and later on ballroom dancing. This soon became a passion for the whole family. In addition to Val and his brother Maks’ successful dance careers, they have since opened 14 other dance studios.
I cannot wait for you to hear Val’s inspiring story. Not only is he so passionate about his own life and what he does, he also hopes to inspire others to do the same. Tune in to hear how’s he connecting with others to do just that and how he’s making an impact in the world today.
Question Highlights: • What did your life look like growing up and where did your passion for what you do now come from? • What is most exciting in your life right now? • Was not giving up or quitting a mindset that you were taught growing up? • What do you think it takes to be a good leader/mentor? • What have you learned from being on your 50-city tour? • Do you still get nervous before you perform?
Quotes • How can I possibly dwell in my own success without having the energy of wanting to pass it forward and reciprocate?”
• “A blessing isn’t realized until it’s passed forward.”
• “I feel most fulfilled when I have a purpose.”
• “Trust your track record.”
• “Be nervous because you care, but don’t sell yourself short.”

DWTS TOUR REVIEW - RADIO CITY
OK. I apologize that this is about 100 years late lmfao, but LETS JUST JUMP RIGHT INTO IT.
I started the day off at work, which wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated because I felt like I had something to look forward to once my shift was over lol. I went to a bar with a few friends before heading over to radio city because I didn’t wanna go back and forth between my house and manhattan since I was already in the city. I had a few drinks, which is probably why I was so vocal for Jenna (and valenna) cause I’m usually SUPER quite lmfao.
Once I actually met up with my sister and mom it was pretty hectic. There were SO MANY people at the show. I knew it would be intense, but I was really shocked by how packed it was. It was so packed I couldn't even take a pee break before/during/after the show. IT WAS ROUGH. On to more important things tho !!!
So right before the show began it was easy to spot Mama J up towards the front. She’s super tiny in person and was grinning from ear to ear, I can’t imagine the immense pride she must have felt knowing her daughter was about to perform at Radio City (for the third time). Shortly after that I spotted Mama & Papa C strolling down towards their seats while holding hands. Jen’s mom waved at them so happily, it was pretty precious, ngl. There was an “in laws” hug exchanged and then they sat down next to each other.
Sharna was not hard to miss (red hair is easy to spot anywhere). She was sitting towards the front as well. A line for photos began quickly and ended quickly lol. She took a few and then sat down and people just began taking photos of her cause I’m sure she wanted to just chill and watch her friends kill it. No one was being disrespectful, which was awesome lol.
Lights went down and the crowd began cheering. Opening number was FABULOUS. I was living for it. The song, the red costumes. It made me feel super HYPED. Val got a lot of screams when he popped up in the little video segment before the NY dance began. I’m gonna be honest for the amount of people that were there I wanted people to be louder when it came to the cheering, BUT let me not complain.
I felt like the show (as a whole) had a decent flow to it. The NY theme felt RIGHT since we were in New York lol, but I wasn’t so crazy about all the numbers. I also wasn’t super into Country night or Las Vegas during s27... so I wasn't THAT into it on tour either. I will say EMMA IS HILARIOUS AS ELVIS (AND AS HERSELF LMFAO). So with that being said I’m just going to review the show by dancers not necessarily by dance.
EMMA: LOVE HER. When she and Sasha had their little bit about the judges and her not sharing her mirrorball with Sash, I was loling. She’s got personality for DAYS. And she always wows me with her dancing more so in person rather than on the show. She looked SO GOOD in her number with the boys. SHEESH. I also really loved her in “feeling good”.
SASHA: I feel like it’s only appropriate to follow up with Sasha lol. He’s got great comedic timing. The transition between the boys paso number and his number with Jen is BRILLIANT, everyone was cracking up. SPEAKING OF BRILLIANT !!! I love everything about his number with Jen. I was exhausted just watching it, but that foot work thooooo and those tricks ?! EVERYTHING. I loved the couples video segment, esha gave the crowd some good laughs. SPEAKING OF GOOD LAUGHS....
GLEB: Gleb and Artems couple segment was too funny. A bromance for life. They were so enjoyable in “L-O-V-E”. Gleb really took me by surprise with “You Say”. I feel like we don’t get a chance to see him do contemporary that often, but he is such a strong partner in that number. LIVE FOR IT. Gleb was also so great in “feeling good”. That role was perfect for him. Loved Val and Sash coming out at the end of the number as well lmfao. I also loved his number with Wit so much. He is so passionate when he dances. *WHEW*
ARTEM: Keeping it going with the bromace. ARTEM ARTEM ARTEM. He really does something to me when he dances LIKE WOW DOES HE! I can’t even explain it because he’s not necessarily my favorite male pro on the show, but that man can DANCE. He’s so smooth and his hands are actually to die for. He’s just so strong, but also so soft when he needs to be. Everything he does is just.... right, that is all. “Tu Sonrisa” is not only one of my favorite songs, but it was one of my favorite numbers on tour. Artem is such a great partner for Wit.
WIT: I love that Wit was on tour, I’m sure that’s so exciting for her and her fans since it’s been a min. She’s super smooth on stage and brings lots of sass. Two numbers that really stood out for me with her were her numbers with Gleb and Artem. So much passion and so clean with Gleb. And just pure fire with Artem. THAT LIFT @ THE END OF “TU SONRISA” IS MY FAVORITE. I loved that we got to see some witlo numbers on tour (even if I couldn’t see her perform them with Milo). Alan was able to bring that same energy outta Wit, which I loved.
ALAN: My mans Alan, killing it left and right. He is such a ball of energy and just good vibes, I love him. He is so strong and has such a flashy personality that you can’t help, but fall in love with him. I loved seeing him dance those Witlo numbers. He surprised me with that Charleston, but I also shouldn’t be all that surprised because he always brings so much energy to everything he does and that was great to witness live. I am a sucker for him dancing with Hayley so “I Won’t Dance” was also a stand out number for me. A pleasant surprise was his number with Britt. I hadn’t watched it before going to the show, but I loved everything about it.
BRITT: She’s looking so much stronger in her ballroom numbers and I am living for it. I never realized how much I needed her to dance with Alan lol. LET ME TELL YOU !!! THEY WERE TRULY FIRE TOGETHER. I love that she’s putting her all into her ballroom numbers, but were she really shined for me was in “You Say”. Ms Britt is a STAR. She displays soooo much emotion when she dancing, I love it. I’m so happy she’s on this tour. #BrittForPro2k19
HAYLEY: While we’re on the topic of shining in contempary numbers... HAYLEY. She’s also lovely to watch. I noticed her a lot more in the girls number this tour than last! I also felt like she really got to shine in her number with Brandon. I loved them as partners. I feel like he brings out the best in her. Their contemporary was so smooth and those lifts were challenging, but they made them look effortless.
BRANDON: I’m really happy Brandon is getting the recognition her deserves. He’s so incredibly versatile, I loved watching him in every number. He was so great as the jazzercise instructor. I was ROLLING when he said “Gleb may have two kids, but they aren’t the only ones calling him daddy.” I can’t even explain to y’all how excited I was when I learned Brandon and Jen had a number together. I loved their collab with Alan Salazar, so when I heard they had a dance together I nearly passed out. Another number Brandon had a stand out moment in was the boys paso number. He was so strong and so poised, he really held his own in that one.
VAL: Since we’re on the topic of attention grabbers, VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY LADIES AND GENTS... He is such an amazing performer. Maybe it’s just me, but my eyes go directly towards him whenever he’s on stage. He’s got so much charisma and such fabulous technique, truly is out of this world. His personality shined in the NY number and his strength was on another level during the boys paso, but what I love most is how gentle he was during “Girl Crush” and how smitten he looked during “Love On The Brain”. One of my favorite things about valenna dancing together is how wrapped up and lost they get in each other. When they’re partnered it almost makes you feel like they’re the only ones in the room.
JENNA: AND LAST, BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST.... my main gal, Jen. I feel like I could write an essay on what Jenna’s dancing is like live, but we don’t have time for all that... in fact, if you’ve made it this far in my review, I truly appreciate you lmfao. Jenna has such a stage presence it’s like your attention is diverted directly to her once she hits the stage. She’s got such flawless technique and such beautiful lines that everything she does looks so sharp and yet so effortless. My eyes were glued to her during “You Say”. Everything about “Whatever Lola Wants” was just pure boss lady vibes. She’s just in charge whenever she’s moving and I LIVE FOR IT. THAT’S WHAT IT’S LIKE WHEN YOU STAN A QUEEN. Everything I had mentioned in Val’s little mini review clearly applies to Jen as well. For me valenna is the “IT” couple when it comes to dancing together, they are just truly something magical.
I HAD SUCH A LOVELY TIME AND I LOVE SHARING IT ALL WITH YOU GUYS. ❤️

Wedding Part 2 - Valenna
Jenna wakes up to the sound of beeping and she’s thoroughly confused. She can’t remember why her alarm is set. She figures she just forgot to turn it off so she quickly turns it off and cuddles back up against Val. He doesn’t stir as she kisses his chest before falling back to sleep.
What she doesn’t know is that Val woke with her alarm but acted like he was asleep to see what she would do. He had to fight back a smile when she cuddled back up against him and went back to sleep. He feels a little bad that he didn’t remind her of her work out bet but not enough to wake her. Instead he just marvels in the feeling of Jenna asleep in his arms. It never gets old.
With the crazy but joyous day ahead, he doesn’t want to get up. The day is going to bring up so many feelings, he just knows it because yesterday brought up so many. He kept thinking about how they would do things at their wedding rehearsal. He knows Jenna won’t want a big three day celebration. She kept saying how everything is so grand, perfect for Peta. He knows that it’s her way of saying this isn’t her thing.
Unable to fall back asleep, partly because he’s sweating but mostly because he’s so excited for the day, he grabs his phone. He’s so excited for Maks and Peta but really, he can’t wait to spend the day with Jenna at his side, dancing the night away again.
Suddenly Jenna sits up right, almost like she startled awake by a nightmare. She turns and sees him on his phone. She doesn’t look very happy.
“Why didn’t you wake me! I was supposed to go work out.”
“I thought you might have called it off or something. I figured you would have been gone already if you were going to go.”
“No! Man, I’m so going to get made fun of for this. They aren’t going to believe that I forgot you know that, right?”
“Let them believe what they want to believe.”
“When do you have to meet the guys?”
“Not for another 2 hours or so.”
“Good. I don’t want you to leave me yet.”
“I’m never going to leave you Jenna. We’ll be Jenna and Val, Val and Jenna, forever.”
“You know what they call us right?”
“No. What do they call us?”
“Our ship name is Valenna.”
“Oh, I like that. Sounds like a name.”
“You know people write made up stories about us too right?”
“I know they’ve done it for other people but I’ve never heard about any of ours. Wait how do you know this?”
“A few lonely nights missing us lead to looking us up. Some are so cute, like things we would do. Others, well, others give details that made me blush and feel like I shouldn’t be reading it.”
“Oh really?” he smirks.
“Yes. I just…”
“We might just have to check these out.”
“No!”
“Oh come on. You can’t tell me about them and not let me read them.”
“You can read them on your own time if you really want but not now. Not here when I should be working out.”
“We could have a work out.”
“Valentin.”
“Come on. Show me one and we’ll see how real we can make it.”
“This is so embarrassing” she says taking his phone from his stretched-out hand and starts to search.
“Why? It’s just us. No one will know.”
“It’s just… I don’t know. Someone will figure it out. They always do.”
“If it’s really bothering you, we don’t have to do it Jenna. I don’t want you to feel like I’m pressuring you.”
“I don’t feel that way I promise. Here, read this one.”
“Have you read it?”
“Yes. Maybe a few times.”
“Really?” he says raising his eye brows at her.
“Shut up and read it before I change my mind and go workout by myself.”
“Is that what you did reading this before?”
“Knock it off Valentin or I’m leaving.”
“Fine, fine.”
~
“I’ve got to go babe” Val calls out while Jenna is in the bathroom.
“Ok. I love you. I’ll see you soon.”
“I love you more. Don’t have too much fun without me. I’ll see you at the ceremony.”
“Don’t look to handsome and overshadow Maks. He won’t forgive you and I might not let you stand up there for all to see.”
“I’ll try my best. Text me if you need me.”
“Or just because?”
“Or just because.”
“I love you.”
“I love you more” he says as he leaves the room. As he heads towards the room where the men are getting ready, he can’t imagine how it will be on their wedding day when they can’t spend all morning together.
When he walks into the room, he is the last of the groomsmen in the room. They all turn to look at him and laugh.
“Did you all change the time and not tell me?”
“No but we did bet you’d be the last one here when we heard Jenna didn’t make it to her work out.”
“We had a great morning and it’s going to be a great day.”
Back in the room, Jenna had just gotten the text from the hair lady saying she’ll be ready for her in 10 minutes so Jenna gathers her things and heads to the room. She hangs her dresses up and waits for her turn in the chair. She ends up being called over to the makeup chair first and Mama is getting her makeup done next to her.
“Dobroye utro Jenna.”
“Good morning Mama. How are you feeling today?”
“So excited. I never thought this day would come. Valentin, I’ve never doubted. Maksim, he’s so hard sometimes. Peta’s good.”
“She sure is.”
“Did you two sleep well?”
“We did. We feel asleep so quickly last night.”
“No fun?”
“Mama!”
“Sorry.”
“It’s ok. You look beautiful.”
“Thank you. Is he treating you well?”
“Who?”
“Valentin.”
“Oh yes. Very well. You raised him well Mama.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re all set Larissa” the lady doing her makeup says. Larissa looks confused.
“Vy sdelali (You are done)” Jenna translates.
“Oh, thank you! Jenna, you are learning?”
“Yes. I want to be able to talk with you.”
“Great for the babies too.”
“No babies yet but yes.”
“Marry him first.”
“That’s the plan.”
“Not too long.”
Jenna just smiles as Larissa puts a hand on her shoulder and kisses the top of her head before walking away. She’s seen her do that to Val many times but that was the first time she’s ever been on the receiving end. She just has to let Val know. She finally feels totally accepted even though Val said they loved and accepted her from day one.
J- I just got a shoulder hold and kiss to my head from Mama… I’m in.
V- Baby, hate to break it to you but you were in before we even started dating. From the first day I told Mama about you in a story, you were in. She always tells me I would light up when I talked about you even then.
J- You’ve always said that but I never truly believed it. I do now. She’s never done that to me before.
V- What lead to it?
J- Oh just some girl talk.
V- I don’t think I like the sound of that.
J- it was very good. Don’t worry. You aren’t getting too handsome, right? You aren’t going to steal the show?
V- I think I’m a close second behind Shai.
J- He’s with you?
V- He was. Not anymore. How are you doing?
J- Good. Sitting in the makeup chair. Heading to get my hair done in a few.
V- You can be as beautiful as you want. Hair up or down?
J- Up. It’s better for my dresses.
V- I can’t wait to see you. I miss you.
J- I miss you too. Imagine when it’s our turn
V- I don’t know if I’ll be able to not see you for that long.
J- Me either. We might just have to sneak away to see each other when it’s our turn.
V- We make the rules when it’s our turn.
J- When’s our turn?
V- You tell me when you are ready
J- I’ve got to go. Shai’s here and Peta wants me to ‘work my magic’ and put him to sleep. I love you.
V- So jealous. I love you too
As Jenna sits in the chair, she holds Shai to her chest, humming softly and rubbing the side of his head with her thumb. He quickly calms as settles in slumber on her chest.
“You are the baby whisper-er Jenna. How do you do it?” Peta says as she passes by.
“I’m not sure I’m willing to give up my secrets for fear I won’t get to hold him as much.”
“Good idea. But seriously, thank you Jenna. I wanted to give his nanny a break but he would not settle for me.”
“Hey, anytime. You know that. I love this sweet boy so much.”
“He loves you too Aunt Jenna. Oh smile. Let’s make Uncle Val very jealous.”
Jenna turns and smiles at Peta while cradling sleeping Shai. She’s so happy and content. She knows her hair should be done soon and she’ll have to get her dress on soon but she’s not ready to move yet.
“Do you want me to take him? I could go lay him down” Peta asks.
“Don’t you dare. I want my Shai time.”
“Alright. Just let me know if you want me to take him. Or you could just lay him down when you need to get dressed. I’m so glad you are here getting ready with us.”
“Thank you for inviting me. You didn’t have to do that.”
“Yes I did. You are family Jenna. I’m sure it won’t be long before this is you. I did tell Val he isn’t allowed to propose today. Any other day is free game.”
“We aren’t quite there yet so don’t worry.”
“You look beautiful Jenna. Come see me when you’re all done and dressed?”
“I will.”
Not long after Peta walked away, her hair is completed. She pulls out her phone to check the time. She still has plenty of time to get dressed so she stays where she is with Shai while checking over her social media.
After a little while, she sees some of the ladies starting to get dressed so she goes and lays Shai down and grabs her first dress of the night. She takes it to the dressing room. She stops by a mirror and takes a picture of her fabulous make up. She then goes and puts on her strapless black ball gown with the plunging neck line. She feels so beautiful in it. She takes a picture of her bare should and up and sends it to Val saying ‘A little sneak peak of what I’m wearing tonight’. She slips her phone into her silver clutch with a long strap to hang over her shoulder. She steps into her black heals and goes out of the dressing room, right as Peta is walking by.
“You look so gorgeous Jenna!”
“Thank you. I’m going to head out so you all can finish getting dressed. Thank you again for inviting me to get dressed in here with you all.”
“Stop thanking me Jenna. But thank you for putting Shai to sleep. I’ll see you soon.”
“Next time we talk, you’ll be Mrs. Chmerkovskiy.”
“I can’t wait till we both are.”
With that, Peta continues on her way and Jenna heads back to her room to wait until some more guest arrive. Nyle said he would text her when he got there so she would know when to come down.
~
As Jenna watches as Val and Nicole make their way back up the aisle together at the end of the ceremony, she can’t help but wish she was in Nicole’s place. Val is staring at her with a smile and winks just before he is behind her. She can hardly wait until they are allowed up and she can get to Val. She just wants to hug him. She gets a big smile from Sharna as well as she makes her way past with Sam.
As the rest of the wedding party walks past, Jenna tries to look past everyone to see if she can see Val. It’s not working. When Larissa and Sasha walk past, Larissa holds her hand out to Jenna and she takes it, thinking she just was saying hi but Larissa pulls her into the aisle with her and pulls her along.
“Mama…”
“You come with us. Family pictures and you are family.”
Jenna can’t say anything so she just smiles. She spots Val quickly when she walks out of the ceremony area. His back is to her so she walks over and slips her arms around him into a hug.
“Baby?”
“Your Mama brought me with her and Papa.”
“Good. I’ve missed you too much.”
“Me too! You look so handsome.”
“You look gorgeous! And sexy…”
“Wait till you see my party dress.”
“Oh…”
“We need pictures in this dress first.”
“Can I request at least one dance in this dress before you change? A slow dance so I can hold you close?”
“I can do that.”
As they wait around for pictures, Val holds Jenna as close to him as he can, wanting to ingrain this moment in his mind forever. He watches as Peta and Maks kiss and celebrate. He watches as his Mama cries happy tears as she hugs onto his Papa.
“I can’t believe it finally happened” Jenna says looking up at him.
“I know. It took long enough.”
“You think people will say that about us too?”
“What?”
“That it took long enough. I mean, after everything…”
“It doesn’t matter what they say. Babe look!”
“At what?”
Val turns then so Jenna can see what he is pointing to. There in the sky is a beautiful double rainbow. He feels her gasp and hug him a bit tighter. He kisses her head as they stare at the sky.
“Could that be any more perfect?” Jenna says quietly.
“The best unplanned addition to this fairytale wedding.”
“It’s perfect.”
He pulls out his phone and takes a sweet selfie of the two of them with the rainbow behind them.
The photographer calls for Maks and Peta to start taking pictures so Val and Jenna move to a nearby tent talking with other guests, all the while never letting go of Jenna.
~
The reception has started and dinner has just finished. The dance floor has been opened but most people are still sitting at their tables, not wanting to start off the dancing quite yet.
The fast beat music is somewhat calling for Val to join in but Jenna had already said that the only dance she is doing in this big dress is a slow one so he’s still waiting. He watches as Jenna talks with all those at the table. She’s got Shai in her arms again, fast asleep. The nanny has come by a few times seeing if Jenna wants her to take him but she just keeps saying no. Seeing his girl holding his sleeping nephew like it’s no big deal, is making Val very happy. He slips his arm around her shoulders and sits a little bit closer.
Everything around him seems to disappear as he imagines the hopefully not too distant future. He imagines when this becomes an everyday thing. He imagines them already married. They have a child, they both hope it’s a girl first though. They’ll be out to dinner with friends. Their little girl would have been fussy. She would have fed their daughter and he would have taken her to change her diaper. When he comes back to the table, Jenna would have taken her from him and rocked, hummed, and rubbed her head until she is asleep in her arms. She would continue conversation with everyone while refusing to put their daughter down or pass her on to anyone else. At the end of the night, Jenna would carefully lay their daughter in her car seat for Val to carry to the car.
“Val?”
“Sorry what?”
“Want to go dance?”
He pulls his attention back to his surroundings and hears a slow song being played. Jenna no longer has Shai. He smiles at Jenna and stands up, holding out his hand out to her. She happily takes it as he helps her to stand without a word. He leads her onto the dance floor and holds her in close, loving the feeling of his hand on her bare back. He feels her gentle breathing on his chest. Neither one says a thing while they sway together in each other’s arms.
Just before the song ends, Val puts his hand under Jenna’s chin and lifter her eyes to look up him. His simple smile says it all. A smile creeps onto her face as they stare at each other. She stands up on her toes and rest her nose against his. He closes the distance between their lips in a soft and gentle but passionate kiss.
“I love you” he says when they break the kiss.
“I love you more.”
A fast song comes on and Jenna takes his hand, pulling him off the dance floor. He’d love to dance some more but he’s following her lead.
“Can you come up with me?”
“What?”
“To get changed. Can you come up with me?”
“Of course.”
“You’ll like my second dress.”
“Yea?”
“Yea. It’s much more of a party dress. Less fabric, more skin, better for dancing, sparkly. I love it.”
“Good. Let’s go then. We could use a few minutes alone anyway.”
“Mhmm…”
“Wait a minute. Are you agreeing to that?”
“We’ll see when we get upstairs.”
Val hurries her along upstairs. Once in their room, he quickly closes the door and turns to her with a smile. She stands in the middle of the room, frozen, staring at him with a grin. He takes a step closer and she does the same but just before they get close to each other, she turns around with her back to him.
“Care to unzip me?”
He doesn’t say anything but reaches for the zipper and undoes it. He then slides the dress down her body until it is pulled at her feet. She turns and wraps her arms around his neck. She undoes his bow tie and leaves it hanging on his chest.
“Top half stays on.”
“What?”
“Bottoms off if you…”
“Oh!” he says backing away from her a bit and undoes his pants.
~
“You know” Jenna says as they get dressed again, Jenna into her second dress, “I like when your curls are out the best.”
“I do too but this was per Maks’ request.”
“So you’ll have your curls out when it’s our turn?”
“Anything you want.”
“Good. We should go back down there.”
“Yea, someone is bound to notice soon.”
“Come on” she says taking his hand as they head out of the room.
When they head into the reception, they see Babushka Sofiya. She is sitting at a table watching on as others dance on the dance floor. She looks so happy and content. Jenna pulls Val over to the table and sits next to Sofiya, hugging her.
“Translate for me?” Jenna asks looks at Val.
“Of course.”
“Privet Babushka.”
“Jenna, Valentin, moya lyubov’.”
“She said…”
“I know that one Val.”
“Right. Sorry.”
“Are you having fun?”
“Veselo li tebe?”
“O Da. YA tak schastliv.”
“Oh yes. I’m so happy.”
“Good. You look beautiful.”
“Khorosho. Ty vyglyadish’ prekrasno.”
“Spasibo. Vy vyglyadite velikolepno. Tak krasivyy Valentin.”
“Thank you. You look gorgeous.”
“What did she say to you?”
“Nothing.”
“Come on. I’m trying to learn!”
“She said ‘very handsome Valentin’.”
“He sure is handsome, isn’t he?”
“On uveren, krasivyy, ne tak li?”
“Da, da.”
“Ask her to come take pictures in the booth with us.”
“Priyedete li vy s name?”
“Da.”
Val stands up and helps Sofiya to stand. He holds onto her hand as they make their way over to the photo booth. They take a few sweet pictures of the three of them before Maks and Peta come over and ask to jump in for some sibling pictures. Sofiya convinces them she’ll be fine getting back to her seat herself.
“How are you two feeling?” Jenna asks after their pictures.
“Amazing” Peta says smiling up at Maks who bends down to kiss her.
“Perfect” Maks says.
“It was an amazing ceremony and this reception is great” Jenna comments
“You mean all that you were here for” Maks says with a smirk.
“You noticed huh” Val says with a laugh he just couldn’t hold back.
“Yup. It’s alright. Nothing exciting happened while you were creating your own excitement.”
“Maks!” Peta says hitting his arm.
“It’s alright sis. We deserved that.”
“Just make sure you are here for your speech, alright?” Maks says. “And you should probably fix your bow tie by then or just take it off.”
“Oh, I forgot about it. It was like this for those pictures.”
“Eh, it will be a great story” Maks says with a laugh and walks away with Peta.
~
“You’re crying?” Val says as he comes back to the table.
“Your speech was so sweet! How could I not cry?”
“Thank you. I had to make it say all I’ve ever wanted to say to him.”
“I think you did just that. You made everyone cry.”
“I almost didn’t hold it all together.”
“I would have lost it even more if you cried.”
“I was so close.”
“I love you.”
“I love you” he says and kisses her.
“Remember when we were at my brother’s wedding and the DJ had that open mic time and that random guy when up and started to share?”
“Yes! I already told Maks not to let his DJ do that.”
“Good. My brother still has no idea who that guy was.”
“That’s so weird. That was a good time though.”
“My family was so happy you could come.”
“I was so happy you asked me to come.”
“Why wouldn’t I have?”
“I don’t know.”
“I’ll always invite you Val. You’re my forever date.”
“Well my forever date, let’s go dance the night away.”

The Chmerkovskiy’s (Part 10)
Hi Everyone!!! Thank you so much for all of your support with this story!! I received a lot of comments asking me to continue, so I did!! All your kind words mean a ton to me and give me a reason to keep writing, so thank you!! You are all the best!! This chapter doesn’t include that much Chmergatroyd and you’ll see why as you read but I promise they’ll be back in the next chapter! I loved writing and creating the vision in this chapter. I hope you like it! Let me know what you think! Thanks!!
A year later, things were better than ever. Both relationships were steady, Maks and Peta were pregnant with their second child, and Val and Sharna had gotten their own place and started living together. All four of them had participated in the most recent seasons of Dancing with the Stars with Sharna winning for the first time in the past season.
Val was beginning to be hassled by the people around him to propose to her, but it never felt like the right time. She was special and their relationship was special, so everything needed to be special for their proposal. It was after Sasha and Emma’s wedding that he got the perfect idea but before he could execute it, he just needed a little help.
Over the course of the next few weeks, he asked each of their friends if they would want to be part of his proposal to Sharna, and of course each and every one of them jumped at the opportunity. He started putting together an elaborate plan and then instructed each of their friends what they would be doing for the proposal.
It was a Saturday Morning and Sharna woke up to the light streaming in the windows. She felt next to her without looking so she could hug him but all she felt was empty space.
“Val?!” She called out groggily.
He came out of the bathroom dressed in jeans and a lavender button down shirt, “Good Morning, Sleepy.” He bent over to give her a kiss on the cheek, but she turned her head right in time and pressed her lips to his. She rolled over so she was now on her back and looked up at him as she stretched, “Where are you going? You’re dressed so nice.”
“Work meeting. Hopefully it turns out successful. Are you saying I don’t always dress nice?” He grinned as he let out a chuckle.
She smiled, “Oh babe, you always look Hot! You know that.”
Val walked over to the dresser and put his watch on, along with the necklace she gave him for their two month anniversary, which now seemed like a lifetime ago. He walked back over to her and kissed her again, “Ok. I’m out of here.”
“What time will you be home?”
“Um not sure yet, depends on how this meeting goes. But I’ll see you soon.”
“K, babe. Love you.”
“Love you too.”
About a half hour later after prolonging getting out of bed, Sharna got up and began her day. Her put on a load of laundry, cleaned up their room, cleaned the kitchen, when grocery shopping, got her nails done and then made her way back to the apartment. Once there she sat down to watch and episode of Say Yes to the Dress. It was on as a marathon so she just left it running, but after two episodes at the start of the third she got a call from Peta.
“Hey, P!”
“Hey Girlie. What’s up?”
“Nothing, just watching Say Yes to the Dress.”
“Oo best show! Have you checked instagram lately?”
“Um, No! Why what’s up?” “Check it!”
“P?” But before she could say another word, Peta had hung up. She opened instagram and saw the first photo that popped up in her feed, It was from Maks’ account but it was a picture of Woo with Sasha and Larissa. Woo was holding a picture of Sharna as a baby and Larissa was holding a picture of Val as a baby. The caption said, “Their little ones.”
Sharna was confused and didn’t know what to think. Why would Maks post a picture like that? She liked it anyway and continued scrolling. Next, was a picture from Peta’s account. It was a picture of Shai in a tuxedo, smiling right at the camera, with the caption, “and so it begins.”
Sharna smiled, seeing her nephew. He always brought a smile to her face. She liked it and then scrolled again. With each photo she became more and more confused. Something was happening and they were all related, she just didn’t know how. She kept scrolling through the black and white photos, the message becoming clearer and clearer through each picture. Sasha and Emma were holding a piece of lace, Lindsay and Witney were holding a bouquet of flowers, Artem and Tony were icing a cake, Keo and Gleb were tying each others bowties and last were Hayley and Alan jumping in the air in front of the DWTS Ballroom. Each of the photos caption were designated a number, except for Hayley and Alan’s which said, “I think you may get the hint, but come find me here to see what this is all about.”
Sharna gasped and aid to herself, “Oh my god.”
Impulsively, she grabbed her keys off of the end table, grabbed her bag off the couch and got to her car as fast as she could. She drove to the studio anxiously, and not uncommon to LA sat in a ton of traffic. She started to become impatient, as she hit the steering wheel, “Come on!!”
Val stood in the ballroom walking around rehearsing what he was going to say. All of his fellow cast members and friends were up in the skybox. Maks and Peta were on the ground level in the corner watching him as they sat in the corner of the room with Shai in their laps. Maks turned to his wife, “He’s panicking.”
“How do you know?”
“I know my brother.”
Val turned to face them from the center of the room, “You know I can hear you right?” Maks smiled and shrugged, “It’s true.”
Val continued pacing, “Where is she? She should have been here by now.”
“I’m sure she’s on her way.” Hayley called from above.
“Was the clue ok? Does she know where I am?” Alan then called down, “Val, that clue couldn’t have been anymore obvious.”
The minutes passed and everyone was quiet wondering where Sharna was. They all started to get fidgeting, and it was noticeable. Maks checked his watch and looked at Peta.
After a few more minutes Val put his head down and then looked up, his back turned towards the door. “Ok, Guys. I guess she’s not coming.”
Everyone just looked back at him not saying anything. “What?” He said back, but then he heard her voice, “I’m here.”
He turned around and got filled up. She was standing in the doorway of the ballroom. She dropped everything to the floor and took a deep breath. “I’m here.” She started walking towards him slowly, and he felt himself get weak. He took a deep breath as she approached and took both of her hands. “Hi.” He said lightly.
“Hi.” She smiled.
“You know what’s going on?” Val asked her.
“I think?” She questioned.
He separated his hands from hers, “I’m going to finish, ok?”
Sharna nodded as he backed away from her and started talking. He moved to the far right corner of the dancing floor, “Here. Is where you were standing the first time I ever laid eyes on you.” He then moved to the left corner, “And here is where we were the first time we ever had a conversation.” She smiled as he continued. He then ran up to the skybox and stood in between their friends, “And here. Is where I stand and where I stood every monday whenever you perform with your partner.” Val pointed to the stage where they usually received results, “There is where we started our very first dance with each-other.” He then ran back down the stairs and to the opposite end of the dancefloor, “This is where we stood as we watched Nick and Tamar dance, when we didn’t even know we loved each other yet.” He then crossed the floor, “and this is where I stood when I watched you get your amazing score on your quickstep with James right before I ran to meet you in the center and you jumped into my arms. I think that was the first time I acknowledged that there might have been feelings there for you.” Val walked to the center of the floor and took her hands again, “So many of my best memories have taken place in here. But all of my best memories, you’re apart of. I can’t think of a time I have been happier than when I’m with you. Even when we had our moments, I knew that nothing could ever ruin what I had with you and how I felt.”
“Val.” She whispered.
“Sharna, when I look at you I see the future. I see us with kids, dancing till we can’t anymore. That’s our future. I’ve waited long enough to ask you out of fear of it not being special, but now I know that any moment we share together is special. So, I’m not going to wait anymore. Sharna. Mae. Burgess. I love you more than I have ever loved anyone in this world and I can’t imagine a future where I don’t love you. I want to love you for the rest of my life, and spend everyday making sure you know that I do. You are my past, my present and my future and I want to make you mine.”
Sharna gasped and covered her mouth as Val lowered himself to one knee. He pulled out a black velvet box. She started crying and fanned herself to try and get a grip. He smiled watching her, as he opened the box and revealed the Neil Lane engagement ring.
“Oh my god.” She muttered as she wiped the tears from under her eyes.
“Sharna-”
“Yes.”
“You didn’t let me ask yet?”
“Ask! Ask!”
He laughed, “Will you Marry Me and make me the happiest man alive?”
“Yes!”
He got to his feet and crashed into her, kissing her. He could feel her tears as their cheek touched. He rested his forehead against hers, and looked into her eyes, “I love you.”
“I love you too. Thank you.” She whispered.
Val stepped back from her and took her left hand, he took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her finger, “Oh my god.” She gasped. “I’m engaged.” She pulled him in for a hug and he called out into the open air. “Alright, Everyone!! Come on!!” He waved his hand.
Maks and Peta got to them first. Maks hugged his brother and Peta hugged Sharna before they switched. The rest of the cast followed closely after. Exchanging hugs. All the girls huddled around Sharna looking at the ring. Witney called out, “Good Job, Val!!”
All the guys laughed as Val answered, “Well, I try.” He said sarcastically.
As the excitement settled down, they all decided to go out for an engagement dinner. On the way there, Peta pulled out her phone. She opened instagram and created a new post, she selected a special photo from her camera roll. She had been taking pictures throughout the whole proposal but had captured the two most perfect moments. Him down on one knee as she had her hands covering her mouth, and their first kiss after the engagement. She attached them together and then began writing the caption, “Love these two with all my heart and THEY’RE ENGAGED. Sharna and Val, you’re love is incredible and I’m so happy I was able to be part of and see something so special unfold since you’re first kiss at my wedding. I’m so happy you’re going to have the rest of your future to spend together. Love you. #Engagement #Wedding #Chmergess #SharnaisgoingtobeaChmerkovskiy #TheChmerkovskiy’s.
