In a busy town, it wasn't easy to tell when someone was watching you. Though if one kept their senses sharp, one could swear they can feel eyes fixed on them. Nix was gathering supplies while the boys rested in their room, since it was better that they take a load off. Though she noticed a figure watching her, keeping tabs or simply following. Either way, the silverette wasn't going to lead them straight to where the young alchemists were. So she calmly walked to an empty part of town, a corner of some park. This would be good enough for a quick talk..

"Alright. You can drop the innocent act and get out here where I can see you.. What do you want?"

"Well I'm not a State funded alchemist and I don't charge a lot for the medicine I make or treatments I give. So I make extra travel money by playing music in busy areas." Nix hummed a little as she got the pieces all arranged before taking a seat across from Roy. It had been a while since she played this game but it was for fun. So what harm would there be if she lost the first round? "He certainly is a sweet kid. Makes me wish there was more I could do to help them.. So, do you want smoke or fire?" A hand gestured to the pieces between them, leaving the first choice to him.

"Oh, you play music?" He was curious when she said that. He watched as she placed his chess board down on the desk and moved to sit on one side from her. "Yeah, it's definitely interesting talking to Alphonse. He's a good kid."

"Well equivalent exchange is the common language we alchemists understand right? It also applies to how you will learn my techniques.. You have to work hard to earn it." What did Nix mean by that? She reached into her travel bag to pull out a single sheet of paper before handing it to Edward. It was only one because she had a feeling he would only be able to handle one at a time. It was covered with musical notes, giving the appearance of sheet music.

"You can get started with that one. It's one of my alchemy notes. I would offer to help you if you have trouble but you wouldn't want that would you?" Edward was too determined to do things himself to accept help in that sort of matter. Though Nix was curious to see how long it would take the Elric brother to decipher it. "Take your time with it but keep it safe too.. In the meantime~. What would you like to eat for lunch? I can run and get some things while you two relax here at the inn." It was best to let the young alchemists rest while they could. There was a long road ahead of them, the end out of sight.

There's a moment where Edward's right hand rests on his left leg, his leg hand now clasped to his right arm holding tight now.

"I think I've gotten close enough to god to know that it isn't the way to be or strive for it. You only get hurt."

Nix sounded like Winry for a moment, the concern for the brothers that she held well it was one that he knew that him and Al had been finding themselves having for Nix too. He would protect her from what he could, from the little they had talked about Nix's past this wasn't something she asked or wished for, not in the same way they had brought this upon themselves.

They hadn't told her everything that had happened to them, a few instances being Nina and the Homunculi, not even that they were searching for the Philosopher's stone. The less she knew at the moment it would be better for her.

There's a soft gasp at the ruffling of his hair, something that shot him straight back to being a child, the last person he knew to do this action to him in this nature was his mother. And for a moment he can feel the sting in his eyes and the twitch of his lips into a smile.

A soft chuckle now as she said about teaching them about medicines and that being fair.

"You could say that it sounds like an equivalent exchange, Nix."

I know I make this post every leak night but genuinely wholeheartedly if u want a shonen that believes abusive fathers don’t inherently deserve forgiveness and actively does want to tackle the systemic issues it creates one piece is in fact Right There. Like I know it’s long and it’s older than this website and basically a meme at this point but I’m dead serious going from whatever bs was happening in jjk/bnha to one piece months ago was like a breath of fresh air it was like oh wow! A series written by someone who enjoys and respects his work and genuinely understands the themes he wants to portray how novel!

To be honest, Nix knew these questions would come up eventually. She wasn't a State Alchemist and so her specialties and talents were largely unknown. At least the Colonel had proven himself trustworthy, especially with the brothers putting in a good word for him. Otherwise, she would've pretended to not know what he was talking about. "I am an alchemist, yes. I specialize in making medicine, that's the talent I openly share at least. My actual talent lies in this medium.."

The silverette clapped her hands together before touching the glass of water that sat upon Roy's desk. The water seemed to shimmer before it began to stretch upwards in a flash. The liquid within had been transformed into an array of flowers made of ice, branching out from the glass. "Water. I can do all manner of things with it, though some I would much rather avoid if I can help it."

Do you think the levihan fandom will die out now that the anime is over???

Hi nonny! I don't think so. At least not wholly.

The western fandom's quieted down but the eastern fandom is still appears to be going strong! If there's one reason to join Twitter it's to follow artists that aren't anywhere else, and it's worth it to keep the love flowing.

There's been drops in activity, and I think the reason is a multi-faceted one. Yes the series ended, but for a show of SNK's caliber, that didn't used to matter. I've commented on this before–and at the risk of sounding like a boomer– I blame binge culture, and more specifically, Tiktok, for playing a big role in how quickly fandoms die.

Even 5, 6 years ago, it didn't matter if a show was over; people kept the party going. A piece of official art or a merch drop kept a fandom fed for months. Now you're lucky for the hype to last a week. FmaB ended in 2010 and it was still hopping three years later when I joined in 2013. It took another four years for it to start quieting down and hell it wouldn't surprise me if it was still going. But now there's been this shift in mentality, and attention spans are shorter and sure we all joke about it but it's a real issue and you see it happen at an accelerating rate. There's absolutely nothing wrong with your interests changing, but I see over and over (at least on the artist side) creators only making stuff for fandoms if it can be profitable to them, and the second it's not they move on to the next big thing as a way to ride the hype and beat the algorithm instead of loving the thing for what it is. And I get it, it's how many make a living so they gotta do what they gotta do. It just unfortunately perpetuates this cycle of fandoms being trends rather than communities.

I will say SNK and Levihan kinda got uniquely screwed though. Due to the last season's (understandable) release schedule and the way it was marketed a lot of people kinda unfairly tuned it out. Add on to that how Levi and Hange's scenes were handled and the fandom didn't get as big a boost as it should have.

But for me, it doesn't really matter how many people are still in the fandom. If Levihan is what I feel like drawing then that's what I'll do :3 Presonally, art is too hard and too time-consuming to spend making something I don't want to. At the end of the day, it only dies if we let it. Which would be a pity because there's still the blu-ray, Shigeki Fly, and Bad Boy to look forward to! 🥳
