the two proposals thing is really smart!! especially for someone introverted like me lol and same, getting hurt/hurting someone in public is a big no too :( i personally dont want a public proposal at all or anything with other people there.. my dream would be just me and the other person together in a special, comforting place and when we're just talking about god knows what like usual, they slip in the question and get on one knee :') something meaningful and private like that bc i would definitely end up crying and i hate crying in front of people T^T i'd just want time to soak in that realization by ourselves and i'd probably need to process it before telling other people haha but your idea is definitely a good one, like agreeing on the idea of marriage before actually trying to go for it

getting married and divorced in vegas with your friend sounds like a wild night honestly and a good story to tell when you're older i love it and i'd cheers to that (btw im sorry these responses get so long, i just...sigh oh well lmao)

ok so idk if you've watched friends but monica's dress was the first wedding dress i ever fell in love with and it's basically the blueprint for my dream wedding dress:

it's like halter straps with an open back and a corset with a big princess skirt :)

if it's a winter wedding then ruffley sleeves sort of like these with a slim skirt.. they'd make even a simple gown look like a fairy dress and it's so so pretty aaaa 🥺 or lace/embroidered long sleeves like kate middleton's dress hahaha

oh and no wedding veil 😂 but strappy pointed toe heels for sure!! hbu, any dream wedding fits??

ahhh well i get torn between pastels and bold colors bc u know there's baby pink and sky blue, which are really soft and dreamy for weddings; but then i also love a bright cherry red and white combo, or maybe pine/viridian/emerald green and white... idk there's just too many 😭 the only sure thing i know i want at my wedding is lilies for the flowers :)

and yes relatable! i also have lots of relatives and love big family parties too!! they're like giant reunions and the moms all gossip while the dads play poker and drink beer and all the cousins split into their general age groups lmao it's so fun

all of those are SO pretty and i totally get you with not being able to choose a color scheme... every wedding i’ve ever seen w desert colors has been gorgeous and that’s the only reason i can choose. i especially love the cherry red/white combo tho, it just sounds so enchanting, so that’s my vote as an internet person with no actual bearing on the decision lmaolmao

oh my god not to sound completely insane but i want to do a proposal twice (i don’t mind proposing or being proposed to) mostly because i love the idea of a big public proposal but i’d hate to turn someone down/be turned down. i think it’s better to do a “hey do you want to get married to me” check in in a casual relaxed setting so that the proposal itself isn’t a surprise but the event is, if that makes sense?

i almost posted this then realized i didn’t actually saying anything about my dream proposal but i think that’s because i’d want it to be personal to the relationship? idk i feel like i’ve thought about it much less than my hypothetical wedding (but now i’m going to think about it a lot)

aw you are giving me flashbacks to finding prom dresses now; i totally understand not having a large supply to choose from bc my state doesn't really catch on to fashion trends...which is why i only wore a jumpsuit to my last prom lol

white or pink sounds so cute especially for a ballgown, it's going to be like the princess diaries vibes!! or barbie from princess and the pauper haha and oh if you need a modest neckline u could always make up for it with other features - a leg slit (not too high lol), ruffley sleeves, off the shoulder straps, or an open back would look really elegant, or...two piece ballgowns? o_O

you could definitely bring sneakers to change into if your fancy shoes get uncomfy! i personally think it's fun to wear heels for fancy events bc how often do we get to dress up like that, u know? but it's up to your comfort bc you're the one who's wearing them the whole time haha

i agree! it’s for my 18th bday (which got pushed back like a year and then some because pandemic) which is a once in a lifetime event so i’ll prob go with the pretty shoes 🤩

yesss we did!! unfortunately we’re looking for a ballgown style dress which means the majority of options are out of stock bc prom season is in spring and most Fancy dresses here are for prom :’( onward we search for a white or pink poofy dress with a neckline that won’t offend my grandmother LOL

and honestly i have no idea about shoes yet OTL my mom suggested i just wear sneakers since the dress will be floor length but i feel like i should be wearing nice shoes for this event hahahah we’ll see
