 Project: Hot Rod Pizza Co

The Challenge

Create a New logo, menu layout and illustration piece to be used throughout their branding.

To create a solution for Hot Rod Pizza co that covers the view of their kitchen area to the public on the street at their 40 Commercial St Nanaimo location.

The Approach

Use 1-way see-through vinyl that covers up the kitchen area but still lets daylight into the kitchen. I also decided to make the display half-tone illustration-heavy to align with the business brand characteristics and style.

What I did

I decided to use the window vinyl as a display that included The take-out menu, which is clear and legible and is accompanied by the logo and illustration piece.

Project: Resolve Social Media

The Challenge:

Create an XD High Hifi moch-upUI interface design for the Resolve MTB social media app.

Resolve is a social media app that is specifically designed for mountain bike content. Within mountain biking, everyone has their own opinions about the sport and what culture resonates with them as an individual. Resolve lets you be inspired by like-minded individuals and share your own content. You can post whatever you want however the Resolve is tailored towards creative, artistic content. Resolve is designed for the user to efficiently see content that is relevant/exciting to them without endless scrolling and distractions. It is a tool to be used and then put down, getting off your phone and on with your day.

The Approach

I set out to create a social media platform specifically for MTB media that promotes the use of artistically created content that represents the culture and individual perspective on MTB that has a beautiful, minimal interface that aligns with the brand characteristics of Resolve.

What I did

Conducted a worldwide research survey/questionnaire to see what the relevance of the app and what its user's needs and want are. I made sure that the questions were posted in MTB hubs and hotspots such as Whistler Canada, Morzine France, Queenstown NZ, etc.

I worked through the process of creating a Persona and Principle of Resolve, all the UI patterns involved and a style sheet, an Interactive wireframe, and Hifi Moch-UP.

22 TahunKu

Hallo my silent stalker wkwkwk Maafin aku dinahas aku baru sempet buat nyeritain 22 tahunku di 17 April 2017 kemarin.. Rasanya haru banget kemarin di 22 tahunku aku ngerasa terharu sangat terharu.. Seperti kata orang seperti kesenangan bercampur dengan kesedihan dalam satu waktu.. Hari itu adalah hari dimana aku seminar Ujian Penelitian, kebetulan pada hari itu aku kebagian jadwal terakhir karena diundur. Dikelas itu sepi sangat sepi hanya ada aku, penguji dan kaka yang mendapatkan jadwal sama sepertiku.. Hari itu menjadi hari tersangat membingungkan. Aku dan kaka berdua disana dan kita sama” tidak mulus pada hari itu. Revisi bejibun, gak ada yang nonton, sahabat kita pada gak bisa hadir, penguji galak, pembimbing gak hadir dan jomblo hahha. Aku dapet giliran kedua buat persentasi aku merhatiin si kaka di pojokan dan tiba tiba aku dapet sms dari mama ku yang intinya dia ngucapin selamat ulang tahun terus aku mewek karena terharu hahahah

Waktu dah beres buka pintu ruangan berharap ada yang ngasih surprise tapi gak ada seorangpun.. Aku dan Kaka berjalan ke arah gedung MTRI buat photo” meskipun kita bubuk tapi kita gak lupa buat update hahaha.. Oh ya kebetulan ultah kami tidak begitu jauh hanya beda sehari dan sudah 3 tahun terakhir ultah kita suka dirayain bareng hahaha

Kita asik photo-photo sambil bingung dan bimbang dan berpikir dalam hati “ini tuh asli gak ada yang mau ngasih kejutan?” upuy bilangnya dia dirumah males ke kampus, amel bilang dia harus ketemuan sama temennya.. Sedih rasanya dan gak tau ngarep banget karena sedih ketika tahun lalu aku sakit typus pas lagi ultah dan temen” kelas cuman bisa ngasih selamat lewat video. Sekarng aku sehat loh, ingin ada kalian lagi lohhh hahha NGAREP PARAH

Akhirnya kita mutusin buat pergi makan ke oseng mercon dan kita dapet kabar kalo amel mau nyusul abis ketemuan ma temennya.. Kita pesen duluan sekalian sama yang amel juga. Pas lagi asik makan sambil galau mikirin skripsi kita. Gak lama amel dateng sendiri pake seragam dan minta maaf kekita gegara gak bisa liat kita sidang. Tiba tiba amel keluar bentar dan ternyataaaaa temen” kelasku pada dateng ngasih surprise, disitu aku langsung nangis bener” nangis terharu terharu terharu bangeeettt cengeng bangeeettt rasanya aku seneng banget sekaligus sedihh.. Senengnya karena aku bisa ulang tahun dirayain mereka secara langsung karena tahun lalu sakit sedih banget.. dan sedihnya karen hari itu udah gak ada temen special lagi kebetulan aku baru putus 2 bulan sebelumnya namun kondisinya kita masih komunikasi baik waktu itu tapi seperti ada batas pas kita chatan.. rasanya beda ngerasa pa ya kaya kesepian gituu hahaha terlebih bingung karena jadi serba canggung semuanya, serba gak enak, dan serba bingung aja semuanya gak bisa sebebas dulu memperlakukannya.. hahaha dan hal terpenting yang selalu aku tanyain pada diri aku “aku nanti harus cerita kesiapa” hahaha.. Kenapa ada pertanyaan gitu karena bagiku dia udah jadi diari berjalanku, aku lebih suka cerita apapun kedia pada saat itu karena rasanya aku takut buat cerita keoranglain bahkan kesahabatku sendiri karena aku takut mereka gak bisa nerima aku dak kuat temenan ma aku hahahaha karena aku itu super nyebelin dan aku sdar akan hal itu hahahaha Oh iya kebetulan kita cuman bisa chattan kalo gak telpon atau vicall karena kondisi kita LDR karena dia harus kerja di pulau sulawesi dan aku di pulau jawa hahaha

Aku cek hape berulang kali hari itu dan pas malem aku baru dapet chat dari dia rasanya meskipun itu chat yang aku tunggu tapi rasanya gak special karena seperti yang aku bilang ada batas dari chat kita... batassss yang rasanya jauh sekaliiii.. Dari diri dia ngebatasin begitupun dari diri aku yang sebenernya gak bisa berlebihan karena niat kita putus adalah dia yang bialng “aku mau hijrah” aku gak tau maksdnya hijrah dalam arti ingin memperbaiki diri atau nyari yang lain hahahahahah

Akhirnya temen”ku pada ngehibur aku ada enay, upuy, amel, nusu, dewi dan iba meskipun aku gak cerita sebenernya tapi mereka udah sangat menghiburku tanpa aku harus bilang kalo sebenrnya aku ingin cerita segala apapun kemereka tentangnya hahhaha Aku memilih memendam sendiri. Sendiri

Malemnya kita lanjut karoke di ciwalk terus kita nyanyi cuman bisa sejam karena itu keburu malem soalnya kalo kemaleman aku gak bisa pulang ke kosan hahahah kebetulan kosan aku ditutup jam 10 malem karena yang punyanya dosen hahhahah sebelum pulang ada ka ojan ke tempat karoke mau ngasih kado buat kaka dan aku padahalmah dia mau mudus ke si kaka wkwwkwkkw hari itu kado dari ka ojan kado pertama aku di 22 tahunku yang dia dapet susah payah di time zone hahahahahaa

I can’t decide..! Mmmmaybe savoury, but I like sweet things a lot, too.

This one I already answered. Though it is also pretty petty to be afraid of being left alone forever when I’m barely doing anything to prevent it from happening.

5. what is your least favourite vegetable?

Carrot. I’ve never liked it at all. It can be included in food dishes, but I don’t want to eat it on its own.

23. soup or salad?

Hmm it depends on so many things… Salad I maybe like more, but it usually barely makes my hunger go away, no matter how much I eat. So it’s sort of 50/50, though I eat both with pleasure.

26. what is the worst book you’ve ever read? 

Dang, you and Roll really have same sort of taste in questions, it seems! =‘D Okay, let’s think of something else… Oh, His Dark Materials-series! Another fantasy series I read ages ago. It was somehow very important to one of my friends and that’s why I read it, too. But the thing is it had this smarter-than-anyone-else child protagonist, and I just don’t like that stuff usually at all, and that’s why I didn’t enjoy this series either.

28. how many pillows do you sleep with?

Just one. People have hard time understanding this and even my mom is always trying to buy me more pillows because “no one can sleep confortably with only one!” =‘)

Salmiakki! No competition here, even though I like all sorts of candy.

Oh god, everything is so good..! Just give me all the food and I’ll be happy hito. u__u But nnng hmmm well cheesecake pretty much can’t be anything but delicious, so I’ll say that.

49. describe your pets ( or family if you dont have pets ) 

I have Tonttu the idiot hamster! He’s likely the most stupid pet I’ve ever had, but I still love him a lot. He was recently ill; I’m not sure what was wrong with him, but luckily antibiotics helped and he seems to be fine now. Feeding the medicine was a pain in both of our asses though, because he’s the first pet that has refused to eat it mixed in any sort of food. But he has always been a picky eater, which might be also the reason for him being as small as he is. He doesn’t weight even the minimum amount a male Syrian hamster should! >=|

Also my parents have two cats, the 16 years old Muusa and mmmmaybe 6-7 years old Väinö/Väkä. Väkä is the nicest cat I have ever met, but sadly he has the common habit of turning into a biting machine when he gets too excited. Muusa just hates everything.
