So I have recently decided to go about and read Marvel Comics in some form of chronological order. ( I'll leave a link to the website I'm using to undertake this task at the bottom.) I will also give my thoughts as an amateur comic enthusiast, on the comics that I have here as well as hopefully some helpful information. Speaking of helpful information before I continue I'll also state that the Marvel Universe timeline is on a sliding timescale, so some historical mentions and references should be viewed differently such as the name of the President of the United States and so on. Also the timeline is roughly that every ten ish years of comic publication could be deemed as a year within the Marvel Universe. Of course there's exceptions, there's always exceptions. Anyway I've decided to start with the Silver Age, which for a long time has been the birthplace of the main Marvel 616 Universe. With starting with the Silver Age then that Means that we start with the very first Fantastic Four Comic.

The comic stars the "First Family" of Marvel comics, The Fantastic Four. Which act as the first team and first four heroes introduced to us the readers. Despite that canonically there are other heroes within this world from ages past. The Fantastic Four consists of Four members, Mister Fantastic ( Reed Richards), Invisible Girl ( Susan "Sue" Storm ), The Human Torch ( Jonathan "Johnny" Storm ), and The Thing ( Benjamin "Ben" Grimm ). It is written by Stan Lee ,and penciled by Jack Kirby.

The comic starts off showing us our heroes using their newly acquired powers before showing us their origins. Which we find out was caused by them going into space and then being blasted by cosmic rays. Though this does have some slight changes later on due to the sliding timescale. Their spacecraft ends up crashing and the Four members land safely although they do have a freak out over their new abilities. I mean hey so would I if I caught on fire and could fly or turn invisible. Anyway the group is then forever changed, they also give themselves their superhero names, which reminds me of when I was in college and had everyone call me Smurf because my hair was blue and I didn't want to be called Sonic and have to run around everywhere. Right sorry back to the story, after this the Fantastic Four is born.

Anyway later on the Fantastic Four hear of these massive sinkholes that have been dragging items underground. There's also these massive creatures that come from the massive sinkholes and terrorize the surface world. Well we come to find out that all of this, is the devious plan of the Mole Man ( Harvey Elder ). I also have the names of his monsters, I love that Marvel Fandom wiki included these guys. We have Giganto, Tricephalous, and Rock Monster Guardian ( Ugu ). We also get a brief backstory of the Mole Man. Essentially he got made fun of a lot and then went cave exploring before being trapped in the caves, just goes to show don't make fun of people. Anywho, The way the Mole Man is defeated is very anticlimactic Reed and the Mole Man face of in a stick fight, but then Reed just picks him up and carries him away.

But then even after Reed grabs onto him as the tunnels begin collapsing around them, Reed let's go of the Mole Man, so he still got away in the end. That's really it for the first issue.

Alright let's talk about the characters of this story, sorry Ugu that doesn't mean you, first let's start with our main man himself Reed Richards.

I don't mind him all that much in this comic, I know personally I have never been the biggest fan of the Mister Fantastic or the Fantastic Four in general but in this issue he's ok, I don't mind him, but I definitely do not believe that he is the smartest man in the world.

Anyway on to our second hero, the Invisible Girl.

What can I say about Sue Storm. She turns invisible I guess. I'm so glad I have future comic knowledge of her otherwise I'd ask what the point of her character is, granted I am aware this comic came out in 1961, so they weren't really sitting at a table discussing to themselves, how can we make the Invisible Girl cool? As of right now she's not my favorite character,but I can't wait for that to change because I know it will.

Now for the hothead himself, the Human Torch.

When I was younger I loved the Human Torch, which yeah that's his role he's basically the younger groups character, the one they can associate with. I'm older now and honestly I can't really stand Johnny. Again like his sister I know this will change in the future, I just get annoyed with him, though on a good note I think he's at least the second strongest member as of right now.

Now for the strongest member of the Fantastic Four, The Thing.

Honestly I love the Thing, he's big, he's sassy, and I can't help but feel bad for him. He's essentially the joke of the group but he's super strong, I just feel bad because everyone sees him as a monster but not me no siree, I like my big pile of orange rocks. So far he's my favorite member he has the most use, and is definitely without a doubt the strongest member.

Now for our Antagonist the Mole Man.

What can I say about the Mole Man. Honestly a weak first villain. He doesn't do much, gets beaten in a stick fight and then just slips away. I'm amazed that he's become a mainstay in comics and is still a villain in recent issues.

Anyway that's me talking about the Fantastic Four Series 1 Issue 1. It was an ok start to the Marvel Universe I can't wait to see where it goes from here, until next time. Excelsior!

claude’s the kind of person to want to say it at the right time ( or what he thinks as the right time ). it’s such a powerful phrase that he would really want it to be first said at an equally powerful moment! because he’s fucking dramatic like that. which is kind of why i like the jpn version of his s support with byleth; i feel like when he aided her and her army in their end card, that’s probably when he first truly said it, though i imagine he still had said it without actually saying it. so it’s not that he finds it hard to say - he’s just dramatic.

today im going to talk about anime

god. i just hate kny. the demon slayer anime. nezuko is ostensibly a main character and yet she often gets less screen time than the villain of the week. at one point protagonist has to do a powerup montage for a YEAR and she just conveniently falls into a coma the instant he has to train, to wake up the instant he is done training & passes his initiation test, for real. literally would change nothing to make her a love interest and not his sibling, which makes me hella uncomfortable, that is not at all how real siblings work and its slightly fetishy lmao. i heard that later on theres literally a demon who’s a Good Guy and still eats people, to power up to fight Bad Demons. and yet . nezuko cannot do that thing. hell all the other MCs can fight because they trained really hard for a long time to fight and yet nezuko? she just happened to become demon, and thats why shes even remotely strong. even when this is referenced it’s not HER willpower, or HER self-control, it’s “wow you and your brother...sure are special. you and your AWESOME KICKASS BROTHER are Special. amazing how your brother’s bond with you stopped you from being completely evil. wow” and i guess she just has to be the uwu pure cinnamon roll ugu who protagonist Must Protecc bc Anime but honestly its a very bad kind of fanservice lmao.

on top of that. on TOP of that . the initiation for these inexperienced demon hunters is to put them for a night where there are a bunch of very powerful demons trapped. they must survive to become a Demon Hunter. however . if demons are a widespread problem.....would it not make far more sense to actually just train everyone to a smaller degree? have fuckin classes for it that anyone can go to? so they at least dont get OHKO’d to weaker demons, preventing those demons from getting stronger ??? as it is ur basically saying “you need to risk death to learn to defend yourself. if you aren’t good enough to join our Elite Corps then we arent even going to let u go home ur just going to straight up die lmao.” like if the goal is to be cool and edgy, mission fuckin accomplished, but in-world this system is probably WHY demons are such a problem considering u arent allowed to know how to fight them unless u join an organization with a 5% initiation survival rate or something, and the more people the demon beats the stronger it gets. like . theres a problem there

Writeup: Things that interest  me about the FE3H cast pre-release - Black Eagles edition

I just want to get my thoughts and things I’m excited to see about each of the students before release!  While I’m obviously more excited about some characters than others, I actually like the entire cast; there are things that intrigue me about each one! 

Starting off with what I’m excited to see of the Black Eagles cast.

Edelgard: We all know how awesome she is!  What needs to be said? A woman who was raised to an rule an empire.  She's beautiful, fierce, and ruthless!  To me, she seems like she could be sort of a female Camus archetype of this game on the other house paths?  And I always enjoy the tragic Camus types.  Also yeah, she's poster girl, she's lovely, and there’s lots of wonderful content for her already!  I’m sure she’s got a more vulnerable side deep down, which I look forward to getting a deeper understanding of as we learn what kind of internal conflict she’s going through as heir to an empire. (I am trusting that they can pull off showing Edelgard’s softer and more vulnerable side without making her ‘weak’!) 

 Ferdinand: He's a complete dumbass redheaded fop, and I love him.  I’m not sure where all the dislike for him comes from (I didn’t read the thanibomb stuff nor do I want to, so if it’s from that I don’t know yet!). The implications of this guy's dissatisfaction with Edelgard is honestly so compelling!  I think he’s kind of going to serve as an excellent foil to Hubert’s blind loyalty. He's of a position relatively close in power to Edelgard and you just know he's got all kinds of powerful people breathing down his neck all the time about what needs to change in the government.  Every complaint about the emperor, every story of injustice at the hands of the empire is probably going to be heard by him. As a result, he knows Edelgard and the empire isn’t perfect, and that may lead to his critical feelings towards Edelgard and his sense of rivalry.  He probably gets exposed to more of the faults in the empire’s upper echelon than the other nobles. I think his feelings of rivalry towards Edelgard will be immensely entertaining.  It’s good for an effective leader to have someone at their side who can tell them when they’re doing something poorly, you know? And he certainly doesn’t seem one to hesitate.

Hubert: So I just praised Ferdinand for being critical of his leader,  now watch as I turn around and tell you what a a sucker I am for the super loyal types. This man would destroy the world for his lady's sake. I feel like he remains the most mysterious member of the Black Eagles.  He's the type who isn't going to let his true feelings be known if they get in the way of doing his job.  Still, I suspect that deep down, Edelgard as an individual is more important to him than Adrestia...something that he probably does his best to hide with austerity. (Or maybe I’m just trying too hard to see Seth/Eirika in them I don’t know!) It really makes me want to get to know him, get him to let down his shield a bit, see what he's really all about.

Dorothea: It's funny; at first I was lukewarm towards Dorothea while everyone else hailed her as a meme queen for her Jojo hat.  But she’s grown on me-- she's an uprising starlet and there's no way life is easy for her being the only commoner in a house full of Adrestian nobles. But she stays upbeat, and she's supportive and helpful even to people in other houses (That Ingrid marriage mission!)! She just seems like an all around really good, down to earth person! She also seems like a bit a of a dork deep down: ”How loud is too loud?”

Petra: I gotta feel for this girl, she's basically been offered by her own family as a symbol of fealty to a kingdom that presumably somehow seized control of her family's kingdom at some point in the past. I mean, think about how she must feel about that. She doesn't let it get her down though, she does what she has to do!  Also, nice legs nice legs I'm weak...big Lyn energy.

Caspar: Caspar seems like your typical dumb jock who guzzles protein powder, but he's also the kind of guy I can respect.  He’s noble, but he isn’t an heir; society tells him he's useless? He said FUCK THAT NOISE.  What an inspiration! He seems like he’ll be the rowdy student who you just can’t help but love. Also, his personal skill is pretty good, an evade debuff isn’t ever bad!

Linhardt: You gotta respect a man who follows his ambitions!  He knows what he likes and he sticks to it. Linhardt's 'sleeps all the time' trope sounds like it could get old fast, so I’m really hoping they don’t beat it to death and they instead show us plenty of the zany crest nerd we know him to be! Also, lazy male healer, lazy male healer! I love it when genre stereotypes are shattered.

Bernadetta:  I admit...at first I was wary of her whole ugu hikikomori angle because it made her character feel a bit too pandering and moeblob from the get-go. BUT I really warmed up to her when I saw her in the E3 treehouse gameplay. Just from her battle dialogue you can glean little bits about her character.  (The way she thought Hubert was so cool when he took out that soldier in front of her? Aww, I think she wants to mingle with her classmates! She definitely knows about and pays attention to them more than she lets on)  It’s also got to be stressful for her being the only child of a noble house -- she can’t shirk responsibility onto a sibling even if she wants to.  It’s all on her whether she likes it or not.  I have high hopes for her development over the game.

Let's go with Throk!

Opinionated Character Thingy | Accepting.

Alright. Bear with me here, Anon, because I have Opinions™ and I fully expect that not everyone is going to like them. What I have to say about the fandom isn’t aimed at anyone person, it’s just Stans in general.

How I feel about this character

As it stands, Throk has, to me, become three separate characters over the course of the fandom’s development:

     Noodle: Myth’s interpretation, the Throk that I love and adore and would fight for on any given day.     Throk: Someone took a tape worm, gave it legs and granted it the ability to experience delusions of grandeur. I don’t dislike him in the slightest, he just generally underwhelms me. I definitely could have stood to see more of him if they had found the room to write him in, though.     Thwok: Oh no ugu my poor tortured baby stickbug son I’ll protecc u. AKA: The shambling husk of artificially-injected feels that the fandom at large has turned this poor bastard into. The Throk that people latched onto before he even had lines. He’s almost as bad as what the paladin stans have turned their respective faves into, and I refuse to even give an ear to the cries of “Oh no where was Throk this season?”      He’s dead, Karen. (Or at least I think he is. See further down.)

All the people I ship romantically with this character

None. Not a single one I can think of.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Probably his pal with the glowing can opener hands, whoever he was supposed to be. They seemed like they were buds.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I can’t really even have an unpopular opinion about him specifically because I just can’t be inclined to care about him. I don’t really understand the appeal. I honestly don’t. But he shows up so often in my feeds, especially on my main account, that I actually start to bristle if for no other reason than I just don’t want to look at him anymore.

For what it’s worth, though, I think he should have gotten more than just a nebulous ending with zero closure. No, I didn’t need to see him die on-screen but at the very least we could have gotten some confirmation regarding what’s become of him. Then again, we got Sendak back from his magical refrigerator trip across the cosmos, so I guess anything is possible if you really believe.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

As I said, I wish we could just know whether this guy is dead, alive, or in cold storage somewhere just waiting to be turned into something.

It’s a shame we didn’t get to know more about him during the course of the show (though I can’t pinpoint where they would have fit that in) but maybe people will get their wish if WEP/DW decides to greenlight some graphic novels. Some backstory from his glory days would be nice.

Well, now that Hikari is all grown up.... I kinda want another character--NO! No I don’t! This game is only gonna last less than a year before it’s probably replaced and I’m gonna have to recreate all these characters as it is uuuu. 

But onto a related subject. 

I don’t remember exactly when I started signing Luna’s friend tickets, but I think it was around the time she became a Kami Idol. I started signing Hinode’s tickets when she became a Kami Idol too. So now that Hikari is a Kami Idol, it’s only fair...

But actually I have kinda been dreading this. Because based on what I know about Hikari, her signature would be elegant and complicated (maybe with a star in it)... but it also has to be something I can easily mass produce.... ugu... lemme know if you guys have any ideas.

When I was naming Hikari I actually wanted something star-related, but I couldn’t think of anything I liked. Then in that process I started thinking about the Japanese lyrics to “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” which begins “Kira kira hikaru...” This eventually drove me to want to name her Hikari or Hikaru, and as a tie breaker I choose the one with the better manager. So she is vaguely star-themed.

So today I hit a milestone that i didn't think I'd make here on my little RP adventure here on Tumblr. Somehow I got 200 followers. 200! Ya all know I just RP Toad right? Anyway I am very much blown away and honored that so many decided to click that follow button.  Wish I could do something really cool for this like a giveaway or offer arts but sadly I can't. However I will do a shout out to some of the coolest RPer's I know and have the privilege of Rping with them. If you don't follow them, I highly recommend ya do!

First up is the very, very first person I contacted about doing a thread with. They are the lovely @i-am-the-bamf, A amazing Kurt rper! Thanks to them I have gotten to this point, they slowly encourage me out of my shell in contacting others about possibly RPing. They have also become one of my dearest friends. <3 We have so many awesome threads, we constantly toss AU's back and forth, and they are just really encouraging and never seem to go crazy when I suddenly share head cannons out of no where! They also have an OC blog @i-dont-bite that is a very cool little merdude who somehow has not drown Todd for the stuff he comes up with. I just love our threads together and if I had to recommend only one person, they would be it.

Next person is @blue-fluff-elf. They are a wonderful Kurt and somehow doesn't bat an eye when I back up a dump truck of angst on them. They are just all around fun, they really get into Kurt and I always smile when I see that I got a reply from them. They too have an OC blog, @soaringskyward for the harpy boy Nyph, who my lil toads adore (just got to squint to see Todd's adoration is all). Like I-am-the-bamf, they are a must to check out.

@avalanchiing  -This is a wonderful Lance! I don't interact with them nearly enough and if they had any clue to how many anon asks I send them of some of the weirdest asks that come to mind... I may scare them. But seriously they are a sweet person and they have Lance down so perfectly. Also great to know another Brotherhood Rper! So poke this boy (steal his ride)!

@survival-cfthe-fittest  -The fact they play Apocalypse should speak for itself. They do it masterfully and you can tell they do a lot of research into the character as well as those connected to him like his horsemen and the clones. Also something I really appreciate about them is being able to ask them questions, because I'll admit I am not very knowledgeable about Apocalypse, and they will answer to the best of their ability without making you feel like they are looking down on you for not knowing (we have all ran into those kinds of people at one point or another and it really makes you not want to know more). So to me this is a huge plus in interacting with them and their muses. They do Apocalypse very well, same for the other horsemen and I already adore Morgan and am enraged that they killed him in the comics. Bring him back Marvel. It's time for a new Apocalypse.

@cyrokinetic-iceman  -Now I would really never have thought of Todd being interested in the walking snow-cone or how they could even interact but it's been both surprising and fun. I love seeing these two interact and now wish they did so in the series. Like Kurt with Todd, Bobby and Todd are a recipe for some great pranks and a great time.

@orderisoutofstyle  -Klarion may not be part of the Marvel world but he would so fit in. Love the sass and Todd is very much attached to the witchboy. I recommend anyone to interact with this guy and see where you end up. It would be worth it even if you only become a scratch post to Teekl.

Each character is just so much fun and I look forward to our threads and seeing how they handle any of my toads and the situations they get themselves into!  Mention: There is one person I am going to mention here and thank from the bottom of my heart even though life situations have resulted in them not being able to rp currently. They still made a big impact on my roleplaying experience and it feels wrong to mention them . They are the mun behind Rhys who was an amazing OC that should be a cannon character in the Marvel world. They are still my dearest friend and look forward to them possibly one day returning.

If there is anyone I miss, I am sorry but know I greatly appreciate having the experience to roleplay with you.

so i’ve been really quiet this pass winter holiday and i’m prob gonna continue to be rather quiet here for the majority of the year and i thought now would be a good time to let you guys know what i’m up to.

i finally got to finish this picture which is the logo and banner for my manga “S Corp” which i’m currently working on. i plan on releasing it this december/early jan next year, so i’ll be working on pages for it for the majority of the year which i can’t post until the time comes, which also means i won’t be crazy active here.

i’m really REALLY looking forward to working on this story and i hope that if you guys choose to stick around for it’s release you’ll give it a chance.

as i said above the release will be around the end of the year and i’ll be posting the full prologue which is a big 75 pages long (the first 20 pgs now due to complications ugu;;) so while i feel bad for not being able to posting here, i hope you guys will enjoy the prologue when it comes out.
