Opinions on Bonnie x Liv 👀

I totally would’ve loved see BonLiv play out as girlfriends versus what happened with them. Why are these two powerful witches arguing over… Jeremy?(sorta) Liv was Bonnie’s replacement during that time when she didn’t magic, and flirting Jeremy. I do believe if JP had it her way Liv would have eventually replaced Bonnie permanently as the town witch period.

That being said it is potential here (as it is Bonnie’s dynamics with the Geminis of course!) We don’t see Bonnie meet plenty of witches but I do love how excited and willing she is to align herself with them. While Liv was lying of course but Bonnie’s aid was still a nice detail. They both have can connect with each other through Kai. Sheila did help the Gemini Coven in the past. They could have really interesting banter friendship or relationship if the writing did better by them. Y’know. Kat wanted Bonnie to be bi. People experiment in college. Bonnie did save Liv’s ass and Liv was there for Bonnie when she had to come to terms with dying again. Liv would have to make up for not constantly lying though lol.

This would be another rant but like lol Tyliv/Bonenzo really do fall under the same category for me. The show could not be bothered to care about Bonnie and Tyler outside of servitude to the MFG/Klaus and in Tyler’s case just being a block in Caroline’s “life” problems…that even bringing in outside characters like Liv/Enzo they still fucked it up royally. Tyliv and neither Bonenzo had enough time to really be captivating for me. It was really throwaway ships for Bonnie & Tyler collectively. We know why Tonnie wasn’t an option.

The more I think, the more I realize -- well, remember not realize, coz I already know this -- that Liv was such a better girlfriend to Tyler than Caroline ever was. Yes, Care was amazing to him in S2 when he was her friend and S3 till he became a hybrid but once he was sired by Klaus, Tyler was pretty much all alone. Be it the fact that she never really tried to help him with the unsiring or that he had to be out of town aka off screen or that with time her priorities changed (which was totally understandable btw, Care did deserve a boy who could stay and love him but it also was not tyler’s fault that he couldn’t stay) or that she didn’t understand how Tyler didn’t just want revenge but needed revenge... Not saying she didn’t love him, they are my otp and I do believe she loved him more than any of the other romantic interests she had but I feel like Tyler loved her so much more than she ever loved him. I just.. Liv and Tyler are seriously underrated and deserved better. I feel unlike forwood, the love these two had for each other was more.. balanced? Forwood deserved better writing but Parkwood deserved.. idk, more time? Just they deserved more. And they sort of also deserved to have found peace together in the other side. Although, Tyler and Vicki.. I sort of liked that as well. I feel like the way he treated her was one of the things Tyler regretted a lot and believed he couldn’t make right but if they are at peace together it means he did apologize and make things right which I feel is a full circle for Tyler in a way. I guess. Idk. So many random thoughts today.
