so!!! this is actually a fic i started working on about how i not only meet the doctor but also gwen and the rest of the torchwood three team! it picks up sometime during season 1 of torchwood/season 2 of nuwho (can't decide exactly when yet...)

for background in case one doesn't know doctor who lore: torchwood is an organization that operates on a clearance that is separated from government and military organizations, focused on tracking and taking care of extraterrestrial phenomena on earth. torchwood three is based in cardiff, wales, and their headquarters rests literally right underneath a part of a rift that causes strange occurences with space-time, such as beings from the future or past falling through

since this is an isekai, this is all me! i visit cardiff as a tourist in this dimension, and as i'm leaving the roald dahl plass, i end up getting sucked into and falling through the rift. i'm in the same place, but i end up landing face down on the pavement and getting knocked out.

below, the torchwood team notices a change in the activity of the rift, and jack and gwen come to investigate.

more background: captain jack harkness is the leader of torchwood three, born in the 51st century. he's accidentally immortal after the end of season one of nuwho, and has been looking for the doctor ever since that happened. he was transported back to 1816 im pretty sure- i know its the 1800s tho- and lived life the long way around, waiting for them to show up again. jack would do anything for the doctor.

so jack and gwen see me laying there. jack happens to notice one of the necklaces i'm wearing- it's a simple, small pocket watch but it's a miniature replica of ten's, so it has circular gallifreyan on it. he immediately clocks it as the doctor's, but he doesn't say anything yet. no one knows about them, or jack's history with them.

they take me inside and owen helps set the broken nose i got when i landed, and then jack and gwen take me to one of the interrogation rooms to answer questions, but jack is being strangely aggressive. i know why, gwen doesn't. i'm kind of cagey about answering anything, because i know that my mere presence could break the continuity and set this entire universe off kilter. that agitates jack further before i finally reveal that i'm from a universe where they don't exist as they are, but as characters in a tv show. that settles matters and jack has gwen go and get some stuff taken care of so that i have a place to sleep for the night and he talks to me alone, about the doctor. we bond a little over that and i give him my pocket watch, thinking it's a better idea he holds onto it.

jack leads me back into the hub proper and gwen told tosh, owen and ianto about me. owen does NOT like that i know so much about them or about torchwood and suggests to wipe my memory, as is standard procedure for a lot of situations, including when a member of torchwood quits. gwen defends me (cause she's a queen) and jack outright refuses to do it because of what i know about the doctor. owen storms off. gwen takes me to a halfway house--

and that's where i've left the fic off! i've been sort of stuck since i still can't decide where this takes place in the timeline. but i still have a couple ideas for after that!

i beg jack for a job at torchwood because i certainly wouldn't be able to fit in anywhere else. i literally do not exist in this universe- i have no friends, no family, no college education, and the knowledge i have of life in 2006 is limited to the scope of a seven year old american. jack is against it at first, but he's gotta say yes at some point, right?

some sort of nebulous amount of time after that, owen ends up getting caught at the wrong end of a gun in the show. he's supposed to die there, but even though we may have gotten off on the wring foot, i love him just as much as anyone else on the team, so at the last moment i take the bullet for him. he doesn't deserve to die, consequences be damned.

after that, i end up meeting the doctor, somehow... can't decide how though.

should i post the first chapter once i've finished it?

so i have multiple ideas for how i met the doctor! one of them is pretty simple, kind of how like nine met rose with the 'run' thing. the city that they're in is under attack- i keep imagining cybermen- and maybe they're a straggler and start running late and they full-body slam into the doctor but he manages to keep both of them standing up with his hands on their arms and when they both look back, there's cybermen approaching, so the doctor takes their hand and runs.

i have one other idea that's even more in depth, but it's an isekai-like and i'm not sure people wanna hear me ramble about that for ages 🤣 (if you do pls tell me,,,,)

titus on the other hand, he gets his own oc! lucia vorenus, the younger sister to his brother in the legion. lucia shows up to the celebration vorenus and his wife are hosting for starting their business. i haven't thought about past that though lol

I was an absolute Bucky hater, I have no shame on that! HAHAHAHAH I really really said, no excuse for what he did. I genuinely hate him for fuckinh Jamison.

But I have to say, seeing what happened in chapter 27 makes me quite understand the human aspect of it. Jugular really played on his insecurities and when at his most exposed time, she literally reached for his jugular. She didn’t just manipulate Bucky based on that article with Steve. It was helpful, yes, but without it, she would’ve still gotten into bucky’s head, regardless. I guess, the reason why it kinda gave me a reason to be less infuriated with Bucky is her literally invading their privacy. Yes, Bucky still gave pieces of info, but her snooping around and seeing both Bucky and Pocket’s intimate and vulnerable moments gave her the MOST and ABSOLUTE power over Bucky. She just knew how he works, inside out.

Now also, I am an insecure person. VERY insecure. Hearing this Jackass say everything to hit Bucky, she really hit all the right spots to make him weak. It’s like Ty Lee hitting all the energy points to take away your bending or any movement (yes, avatar reference 😭 I could only hope u know what I’m pertaining to). I would never fuck someone because of it tho. Even on that given situation. But I genuinely SEE the reason, and no it does not justify it but I see how it could be destructive to his decision making. Literally a snake whispering. She was soooo persistent and so sure of what she said that she had Bucky believing it despite wanting not to, and knowing pocket wouldn’t. Again. I still wouldn’t fuck my partner’s worse enemy for it. I would feel disgusted doing it. Like okay, I want revenge but not with u honeyboo. I would rather fuck a stranger than u. But yeah I see how it wasn’t really under hydra control or sex pollen but it is BORDERLINE there due to her manipulations. I still hate him, your honor 🧍‍♀️these past few chapters? Pocket is letting him slide too easily. Yes, poor Bucky but nah. Keep him at bay, sister! (I’m sorry I feel no empathy for people who did what Bucky did, just hit a nerve to me 🥹)

Anw, abt how this absolute Jaundice will die, I hope Bucky tortures her. Emotionally and physically. I hope he doesn’t just put a bullet though her head or snap her neck in an instant. She doesn’t deserve that. She deserves to hear how disgusted Bucky was, how he doesn’t and will never even like her, how she’s nothing but used goods, used by hydra, used by him, then is meant to be dumped like a worthless piece of shit. Do her everything she did Bucky and pocket, put thoughts in her head, and hit her where it hurts the most. Hell if it weren’t for Pocket’s condition I would’ve wished she also used Bucky and fuck right in front of Jails. She deserves every torture. Remove her nails and tooth one by one, scrape her skin slowly, gauge her eyeballs out. Keep her alive and make her wish she was dead. I hope her last vision when she dies is seeing how Bucky loves pocket SOOOOO much.

I am *so* relieved that I could pull off the Russia incident- I was really worried I wasn't going to be able to do it the way I wanted to, and I would doom Bucky to being evil forever, lol. But yeah, I feel like, between his own insecurities, her manipulation, and the access to information that she had, he didn't stand a chance. It doesn't absolve him, and he and Pocket both know this, but it's a mitigating factor.

And I totally don't agree with him hooking up with Pocket's nemesis for revenge, but, in a way, who the hell else was there? Like, dude knows less than 10 women, total, lol. He probably never would have even thought about getting "revenge" if a certain snake hadn't put the thought in his head to begin with (even though we don't see it on page, she absolutely did).

Pocket's realizing she can't live without Bucky, but it's not just going to be a "let's just jump back together" situation. They will take proper time to heal, I promise.

HES SO CUTE AND CONSIDERATE IM GONNA CRYGREJJRHR HES SUCH A GENTLEMAN TTTTTTTTT ppl like to say hes cold and uncaring but hes so!!!! soft!! hes just hardened by his experiences and he has to act who he is in order to do his job well . but luc is genuinely a nice person and is very loyal to his duties. hes a very admirable guy :(

BUT ALSO ALSOOOOO THIS EVENT MADE ME SO SAD over the brothers like whwhwhh TTTTTT all the letters kae wrote to him and the way luc kept them all even if scattered around the mansion :( he still kept all of them.. n kae wrote to him so much to let him know what was happening and even wrote to him After he came back……

i rly rly rly love the brothers dynamic and now i love it even MORE after this event. i also half hate it bc WHY CANT THEY JUST COMMUNICATE but also ugh its so Good. their development is so sad but so good. luc’s replies to his letters too i TTTTT im so so so sad. the fact that theyre not just on talking terms but r actually pretty civil towards e/o but there will always, always be this rift btwn them . they lost smth that night their dad died n they can never bring it back.. i think luc is most at peace w/ it now but what abt kae??? the box at the top of the kof hq rly sealed the deal for me.. maybe hes still going thru a bit of a dilemma :( i dont doubt that his loyalty lies in kof + mond now but the fact that he still kept smth of his biological father’s despite being forbidden to.. i hope he is at peace w/ everything regarding his past eventually. seeing kae still, even if a bit, hung up hurts TTTTT my brother in law lemme give u a hug

anw the end of this event was such a pleasant surprise ,, ive always been more of a lorehead irt g3nshin so i was a bit pouty that we didnt get much at the Start .. little did i know that was only a tiny teaser n id get dumped w all this info HKGJRKFJF. ty to the team that wrote this event u made me sad .. im glad this patch is so good so far bc im probably not gna play much afterwards bc im not rly looking forward to svmeru 😭😭 still need to farm n save up for yato rerun tho
