FFVII Advent Calendar 2: Dec. 14

So I started by finally putting Cid in my party! He's hilarious.

So I got to Bone Village and basically didn't fuck around pretending to do the minigame and excavated it ASAP. Went through the Sleeping Forest and Zango Valley; put the Water Ring on Cloud.

In the Forgotten City, I looted dead people's homes and then slept in one of them!

In the middle of the night Cloud awoke. Cid asked, "Do you know what TIME it is!?" in an actual dialogue box.

The Jenova-LIFE boss battle is kind of a cakewalk except for the fact that Jenny casts Reflect on herself so Cid totally toasted himself with Fire3 a couple times. But she attacks exclusively with Water attacks and you can also kind of time-out enemies in this game by making them run out of MP — some of them straight up do not have options without it, and others like Jenny here have options but are weak, easily mended options.

That's the end of disc 1!
