People keep asking me if I am enjoying the process of writing my book. I wish I could give an enthusiastic “yes”, but that’s simply not the truth.
Like so many of us, I’m a bit of a glutton for work. As of late, I’ve been struggling to find a way to balance work with at least a little bit of pleasure. So after an intense week of writing and editing my latest YouTube episode, I was inspired to take a little break from my daily writing schedule this morning.
I bought the latest edition of Tuscan magazine and slowly soaked in the beauty of every page. The sun came out today and playfully danced across each page. I felt content just being in the fantasy of this Tuscan-themed world.
And just like that, I found my joy in “la dolce far niente” or, the sweetness of doing nothing.

Fashion icon Giorgio Armani opens up about his male lovers
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/fashion-icon-giorgio-armani-opens-up-about-his-male-lovers/
Fashion icon Giorgio Armani opens up about his male lovers
Fashion icon Giorgio Armani has opened up about his experiences with male lovers for the first time in years in a rare interview.
The legendary 90-year-old fashion designer is extremely private and doesn’t talk about his personal life.
Back in 2000, he gave off bi vibes when he told Vanity Fair, “I’ve had women in my life, and sometimes men.”
But now, in a new interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, he’s talked about the men in his life and his sexual awakening.
Armani said that while at school he lost his virginity to a girl, but also says a crush on a man at summer camp changed his life.
“I’ve never talked about this,” Armani said in the Italian language interview.
“It happened under a shed on the beach at Misano, at five in the afternoon, when all the boys from the summer camp were supposed to have a bit of a quiet time.
“There was a supervisor, a young man, who I felt immediately attracted to. I didn’t fully understand it at the time, and I didn’t pursue it. But from that moment on, my life took a different turn.
“I didn’t distinguish between men and women at the time. It was just an attraction I felt, something beautiful.
“I couldn’t wait to be near him, to be touched… I felt a huge connection. It’s still a very emotional memory for me.”
‘When he died, a part of me died with him’
Armani later was a relationship with his business partner Sergio Galeotti, who died of AIDS-related complications in 1985.
“We met near the Capannina nightclub, in Versilia, where I was on holiday for a couple of days,” Armani said.
“I saw Sergio in his car and I immediately fell for his Tuscan smile. When Sergio died, a part of me died with him.
“I’m still amazed that I found within myself the resilience to withstand such an immense pain.
“I had to tap into my willpower to deal with all the pain and anguish. A whole year spent next to Sergio in his hospital bed.
“And it all happened as our career was taking off, when we were becoming known, setting up our company, reaching worldwide fame. It was the moment I was gaining confidence in myself, then this blow hit me.”
Armani is currently in a relationship with Leo Dell’Orco, the head of the men’s style office at the fashion house.
Although Armani said he wears a “wonderful ring with a diamond”, the pair aren’t married and he’s “indifferent” about labelling their relationship.
“I think it over and realise there’s no point in being in love and giving it so little space, because I just don’t have that much space,” he said.
“But I have deep affection for Leo, who has lived with me for years and is the person closest to me.”

META MAGAZINE X Clarissa Shang
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START A MODELING AGENCY AND HOW HAS YOUR JOURNEY BEEN SO FAR?
The idea for the agency originally came from a group of friends. Although they are no longer involved, I decided to pursue the vision on my own. We previously had a magazine, but now we focus solely on modeling. We plan to revamp soon, so stay tuned for some exciting updates.
CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR RESTAURANT AND WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?
I’m passionate about offering a diverse selection of wines and providing precise recommendations to ensure the best experience. Our goal is to make each visit memorable, creating a lasting impression that enhances our guests' dining experience.
WHAT SPARKED YOUR PASSION FOR WINES, AND DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVORITE TYPES OR BRANDS?
My love for wines began at a young age, and I've now realized my dream by owning vineyards, running my own business, and having my own brand. While I appreciate wines from around the world, I have a particular fondness for Tuscan wines from Italy.
HOW DO YOU BALANCE RUNNING MULTIPLE BUSINESSES WITH YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND TAKING CARE OF LILLIA?
I’m a very practical person who prefers to stay active rather than sitting still. When work trips arise, I often bring my daughter along, but for longer or less comfortable trips for her, she stays with her father. Although I miss her when we're apart, I cherish our time together and make the most of every moment.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT LIVING IN NAPA, CALIFORNIA?
Having lived in bustling cities and luxurious places, I find the countryside to be unmatched. The fresh air and the freedom of nature are truly captivating. I’m in love with my current home in Napa, California, one of the world’s premier wine-producing regions.

Davy Lyons presents: "One To One"
Davy Lyons' brand new single and video. It's the latest single taken from his highly acclaimed second album, 'The Human Factor'
Accompanying the release is a mesmerising videoclip directed by María Lorente Becerra, which promises to be a visual masterpiece in its own right. Set against the backdrop of Barcelona and the picturesque Delta del Ebro, the 'One to One' video features Lyons himself alongside actress Marta Rodrigo Díaz. Lyons previously showcased his acting talents in Adrià Pagès Molina's feature film "Solo Arrojaron,” released this year. 'One to One' is a soul-stirring ballad that explores the intricacies of various relationships - be it with a friend, a lover, a deity, or oneself. Its poignant lyrics and evocative melody create an emotional resonance that lingers long after the song ends.
youtube
In the video, viewers are introduced to two enigmatic characters, simply referred to as Him and Her. Despite being strangers, they share an inexplicable connection, as if tethered by invisible threads. Their parallel lives unfold simultaneously on screen, revealing shared desires and shared sorrows. As the narrative unfolds, it becomes evident that these two characters are intertwined in ways they cannot comprehend. There's a palpable sense of yearning and mutual dependence that transcends rationality. Ultimately, as the song reaches its crescendo, Him and Her fade into the ether, leaving behind a sense of wistful melancholy. Yet the vibrant landscapes of Barcelona and the bustling cityscape endure, unchanged by the ephemeral presence of these spectral figures.
DAVY LYONS BIO:
Davy Lyons is an Irish songwriter, musician, poet, and actor. Family gatherings in his childhood, where music was always vital, are the root of his creative endeavours. His first dream was to become a professional footballer. Having completed a First-Class Honours Masters degree in law at University College Dublin, Lyons abandoned the gavel for the guitar and began a spiritual journey across Europe that brought him to live and make wine in a Tuscan castle and stay for four months in the mythic Parisian bookshop, Shakespeare and Company, which has welcomed wandering writers such as Allen Ginsberg, James Baldwin, and Anaïs Nin.
Having lived in a camper van called Roger with three bearded artists for three sweaty months, he hitchhiked from Paris to Barcelona and settled finally in the Catalan city known as The Rose of Fire. There he played on the street, testing new songs and dodging the police. Busking brought him friends, money, and an understanding of how a good song is able to stand on its own, in its purest form, with guitar and voice, or no guitar at all. It was not all pleasant though, while busking he had eggs, water, and once a bag of shite thrown at him from balconies. You can’t please everybody.
In Barcelona, Lyons formed a band with some of the finest musicians in the city, and they began playing free folk, completely in the moment, with no song being the same from concert to concert. Their live shows developed a reputation as intense, binding, and unique experiences for the audience, an intimate journey where words and melodies come together, where silences are allowed to reverberate. Sound poems written with the fountain pen of Lyons’ soul with brushstrokes of folk, jazz, and gypsy added by the band.
In Angel Sound Studio, they recorded “Evidence”, Lyons’ debut album, produced by Arthur Jeffes, frontman of Penguin Cafe. The album was released in 2019 with Catalan label Delirics, and was launched with sold-out shows in Barcelona, and in his hometown, Wexford, the sunny south-east of Ireland. Catalan music magazine, Enderrock, said: Evidence is ten songs made for introspective people, those who wish to scratch inside without fear of finding deep sadness or divine beauty. The best of the album is how silence breathes.
The following year he began recording demos with Irish producer, David Duffy, in his home studio next to the Hare Krishna temple in Barcelona’s gothic quarter. Those demos form the basis of Lyons’ second record, “The Human Factor”, recorded in Vertigo Studios in Llinars del Vallès, and to be released in Feb 2022 with Dutch label, King Forward Records. Lyons bonded with label founder, Frank Bond, over an eel sandwich while on tour in the Netherlands. The album represents lyrical and musical growth for an artist who always submits himself to the hammer and anvil of metre and rhyme.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Lyons has just finished shooting for a feature-length Catalan-produced movie, where he plays the lead role in a story of friendship and grief. For the release of his first book, he is currently compiling a selection of poetry and prose sent over the last four years as part of the newsletters delivered every Sunday for his Patreon.
He is influenced by artists such as Jacques Brel, Francis Bacon, Nina Simone, John McGahern, Mick Mulcahy, Kae Tempest, and The Pecker Dunne.

Live the Dream in Tuscany: Unforgettable Experiences
You may have seen it in film. You may have read about it in books, magazines, and online. But to truly experience the grandeur of Tuscany, you have to be there—and immerse yourself in the rolling hills of this idyllic region of central Italy.
You may have heard the phrase la dolce vita, the sweet life. It’s a phrase that’s often used to describe Tuscany—and for good reason. The region is the very definition of la dolce vita. You can live the sweet life. You can live the dream in Tuscany. At the region’s most desirable luxury vacation house rentals, you can experience what makes Tuscany such a remarkable locale to leave your worries behind. Here are a few experiences you’ll never forget. Freshly-Prepared Cuisine, Morning to Night We would be remiss to talk about Tuscany (and Italy) without spotlighting the cuisine. People from all over the world travel to Tuscany to simply get lost in the flavors. While there are many experiences to be had around the region, the food remains one experience no one should miss. The culinary experiences Tuscany offers can start right at your luxury villa—which could be a lovingly restored 16th-century farmhouse. Many of these farmhouses, including luxury vacation villas, keep hens on site. This means farm fresh eggs every morning. Throughout the day and into the evening, you can satiate your palate with chef-prepared delicacies made with the freshest Tuscan ingredients, from tomatoes to cheeses to meats and so much more. In many ways, there’s a simplicity to the ingredients, and yet the result can be spectacular. An Indulgence of Wine The rolling hills of Tuscany are home to some of the world’s most renowned vineyards, not to mention vineyards steeped in history. Whether you enjoy the occasional glass of wine or you consider yourself something of a connoisseur, Tuscany’s vineyards offer remarkable experiences. You may even find yourself on a helicopter tour of the region’s vineyards. You can experience the Chianti vines in a way few people ever do. What could be better? A wine tasting, perhaps? It’s only fitting. If you’re in classical wine country, wine tastings are a must. Select luxury house rentals may even feature a wine-tasting room! Views Shared by Great Renaissance Painters A helicopter tour of Tuscany’s vineyards can give you an unparalleled view of the region. It’s a view that showcases the region’s true beauty and a sight that Renaissance artisans could only dream of. You can also experience views of Tuscany from behind the wheel of a vintage Fiat 500. It’s an experience that practically jumps out of classic films of the 1950s and ’60s. You can see the region’s rolling hills and serpentine valleys as you star in your very own Italian adventure. La dolce vita doesn’t end there. The views come together right in your luxury villa rental. Every morning, as you enjoy your farm-fresh eggs, you can look over those rolling hills. Then, in the evening, as you sit down to your authentic Tuscan dinner and bask in the sunset, it’s almost as though you’ve stepped into your own Renaissance painting. About Cuvée Imagine touring the ancient vineyards of Tuscany via helicopter. Imagine landing at one of the long-established wineries for a glass of the local chianti. Imagine ending the day feasting on regional delicacies as the golden sun sets over the verdant hills. These are just a glimpse into the kinds of experiences Cuvée and their dedicated Experience Curators can bring to life for you to enjoy. From their curated luxury vacation homes in Colorado to their properties throughout the Caribbean, Cuvée can create a getaway unlike any other. Immerse yourself in local culture, cuisine, and handcrafted experiences you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Cuvée has spectacular properties all over the world, including homes in some of the most in-demand destinations on the planet. ofchrysoprase:
“Hey, Harold isn’t that awful. Okay, it is a little awful. No offense to the Harolds in the world.“ Dante started off, though quickly realizing he, in fact, did not want to be a Harold in any universe. He really did wonder what had made his neighbor think that was his name. Maybe his TV had been on too loud and something that sounded like ‘Harold’ had been heard through the wall? Jesus, what if she thought he was some stud who could easily pick up ladies and that was why she was trying to get closer? He had barely spoken three words to her in six months, because his brain tended to forget how to speak English and he simply didn’t know any other languages.
He watched as she messed with the magazine, surprised he had been able to say as much as he had. With her attention on the object, he could take a moment to give a good glance over the woman and holy shit. If he had noticed this before he would have just been stammering like an idiot. Not that the possibility was entirely out of the question now - there was still plenty of time to make even more of a fool of himself.
"I look like a Tony or a Scott? That’s… interesting? That’s not what my parents said when I was, you know, naked and covered in shit. Maybe that should be my Halloween costume for next year and people will be like 'Oh, I get it, you’re dressed up as a Dante!’”
A soft laugh bubbled past her lips, her hand coming up to cover her mouth politely. “Poor Harolds, you’re so very mean to them,” She teased gently. It had been her to call the name awful in the first place, but it didn’t mean she couldn’t rib this guy over it all the same. Xiao crossed her legs, her brown eyes regarding him in contemplation before flicking back to her magazine. This person might be just as neurotic as she was. She could practically hear him thinking a mile a minute. It was difficult not to let the amusement show on her face so she didn’t even bother trying.
Her eyebrow raised, her grin splitting wide upon at the response. “Naked and covered in shit?” She echoed, giggling now. “You want to dress up as a naked baby covered in shit? I feel like that might not go over well with some of the locals.”
Halloween was one of her favourite holidays. She always went all out hosting parties and making sure they were A-Z perfect. Last year, she had thrown together a Halloween party with a Tuscan-Italan menu where everything had the colour orange incorporated into the dish. “Dante’s a nice name. It might be forever tainted by the image of shit, but a nice name all the same. Better than Harold.”
