Angel Shun and Demon Hajime
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok just some random theorizing by @aina-akabane and me
So they’ve released most of the numbers according to this post
http://tsukipro-en.tumblr.com/post/165402276424/agf-2017-project-tsukipros-fictional-play
So if you look at number 7 (Kai’s number), it’s Victory.
WHAT IF KAI WON SHUN AND THAT’S WHY SHUN LOOKS SO SAD
If you see previous illustrations the angels always have long hair and the demons have short hair.
SO WHY DOES DEMON HAJIME HAVE LONG HAIR???
THEORY THAT HAJIME IS A FALLEN ANGEL. He had long hair as an angel but Fell for Shun and so that’s why as a Demon he’s the only Demon who has long hair.
So Pretty Angel Shun does not only look sad he’s surrounded by blue.
Tumblr media
Dark blue.
Kai’s color.
This could be related to my Demon Lord Kai theory by the way
Tumblr media
Reminder that the bell (signifying Kai’s girl) is silver while it’s gold in the anime
Anywayyyy Shun’s pretty hair is bound by a dark blue band. The center of his chest too.
If you look at all the other illustrations, no other angel has their long hair tied up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The two other leaders who are angels have their long hair free.
And it’s not just a design thing because Hajime doesn’t have his partner’s color green anywhere in his design.
In fact Haru’s color is in Shun’s design,
Tumblr media
In the shape of something like a crescent moon.
It’s also a bit with the dark blue at Shun’s chest
Tumblr media
Just above the crystal.
I’m not sure what this means though but I thought it was interesting Haru’s color was in Shun’s design and not Hajime’s.
Anyway for Hajime, interestingly he has Arata’s color, Orange, with his cape
Tumblr media
Arata is April so 4th, and the 4th Sephiroth is Kindness. Or Mercy. Something more associated with Angels.
This could imply that Hajime was originally an Angel but Fell for Shun (hence his long hair) and became a Demon.
Hajime is January so 1 and the 1st Sephiroth (Kether) is Creation. Or Crown (according to a different translation) So Hajime could be an Angel who Fell to a Demon, so he was ‘Created’ again as a Demon. As for Crown maybe he was the Angel King? Hence his derisive look in the picture. Or Shun was originally a Demon and he and Hajime switched places and so now Hajime is the Demon King.
Hajime also has dark blue (Kai’s color) at his horns and the tips of his wings
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which could imply Kai has something to do with Hajime being a Fallen Angel.
@aina-akabane also pointed out Shun has two ankle bands while Hajime only has one. She suggested maybe they were a gift from one another and when Angel Hajime Fell and became a Demon, one of them broke.
I MEAN I’M JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY PRETTY ANGEL SHUN LOOKS SO SAD??
Anyway here are two possibilities.
Shun was originally a Demon, and Hajime was an Angel. Something happened due to Kai (and maybe Haru) and they switched places.
Shun is an Angel and Hajime was also originally an Angel. Something happened due to Kai (and maybe Haru) and Hajime Fell for Shun and became a Demon, separating Shun from Hajime. That’s why Shun looks so sad like he lost something precious to him.
I’m leaning on the second one because if Shun was a Demon, he wouldn’t have lost Hajime when Hajime Fell.
I MEAN THERE ARE ONLY TWO, AND I MEAN ONLY TWO TIMES IN ILLUSTRATIONS WHERE I’VE SEEN SHUN LOOK SAD.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS AND THIS.
Take note he’s with Kai and it’s Summer and Summer was when Kai met his girl.
And his design for his T-shirt which he made himself is of flowers.
And Shun has a hand over his heart. And he looks sad.
So anyway if Hajime is originally an Angel because of his long hair, then both Haru and Kai may be Demons. So that it balances out.
Or maybe one of them could be a Demon turned into an Angel, so one of them would be an Angel with short hair.
I guess we’ll have to wait to find out ~

So I checked on HanaHoshi lyric (again lol) - translated by Ritsuki
HajiShun theories coming up (again, LOL)
“It’s not a simple thought that can easily takes shape “ - Love is not easily to take shape → Shun's love for Hajime is not easy because they are both men.
"I want my only star to shine" → Hajime is the only idol in Shun's eyes.
He puts “Sadness, sufferings” before “Pleasures” (Actually it’s 喜び - Yorokobi - Joy but oh well) because he tastes these feelings before he could enjoy small happiness he has with Hajime.
“Undecorated you” → Despite Hajime is always perfect and dependable, but he also has a childish side and confused side and he only shows mostly to the Nenchou-gumi. Shun hopes to see more of Hajime’s true self so he could be a person Hajime can depend on.
“Your heart doesn’t look at me” → Of course, Hajime doesn’t notice Shun’s feelings at all, or maybe he didn’t even know about it since he has no experience in love before.
“Someday will reach you” ; “ I’ll send it countless times until these feelings reaches you “ → Shun keeps showing his love to Hajime by all his heart, and hopes Hajime would understand someday.
“I laugh beside you under the night sky only for the two of us“ → TSUKIANI EP 11 PEOPLE
HUG HIM SHUN, HUG HIM!!!!!!

It was so fun that I just couldn’t put it down~  Thank you to Auntie Moch for proofreading and checking to see if I got the programming terms right ^^
I said I would post stuff one by one, but since it’s a really interesting world, I just couldn’t leave anyone at a cliffhanger...!! (Even though the actual pamphlet itself leaves us with a cliffhanger, but still!! XD)
Thank you once again to @aoseirakuen for help with getting the pamphlet and for screaming theories with me~!!
In any case, I hope that everyone enjoys reading through them as well~!

Why I think Tsukiuta has the best 3DCG Idol performance?
Don’t worry. I won’t be comparing them to others. I will just focus why they have great 3DCG for me. Nowadays, using 3DCG for anime  and games are nothing new. Some failed but some really did a good job. Best good example are Houseki no Kuni, Beastars and Onmyoji RPG 3DCG teasers. But how on earth it looks good while others failed? Tsukiuta is probably the first and one of the best 3D CG performance I have ever watch. There’s no 2D for close up shots and purely 3D. Here are some factors that I think play a big role how they produce a good output.
1. Models - This one really play a big role. Their model should be closer to their 2d look but still gives you the 3d vibe. Some might prefer detailed or simple but I think what really matters is the strong resemblance to their 2D look. Why? Bc even if it’s not that detailed, you can still make it work by choosing good shots. Tsukiuta did that. It’s not really that detailed but they really capture the characters charms.  2. Camera Shots - This one is tricky. Even if you have the most detailed models, it will not look good if you chose the wrong shots. One should know when a close up is needed and why shoot an establishing shot. Lots of idols performance failed to grasp it but Tsukiuta once again did a good job here. They chose the shots based on the character movements and music. Best example of the is Shun’s shot from Procella performance. He has this shot that he looks like he’s taking a picture through his hand and the camera shot close up to him. I really like that part.  3. Lights - Lights play a big role in every live event like concert. It’s hard to grasp and one should understand how color theory works first. I can really tell that the one who work for Tsukiuta really know how to blend colors. Light also set the mood of the stage that’s why this is really important. There are some idol franchise who just chose bright light so it don’t give much impact. Tsukiuta probably has a cute character designs but they manage to make them look cooler with lights. 4. Music - Music should cooperate with camera shots and lights. It’s really useless if the music and shots don’t match together. Like the one who’s singing should have a close up or the song is fast so try a little fast panning shots. Example of that is Tsukiuta’s Tsuki no Uta Intro.  5. Effects - Idols performance rarely use this but Tsukiuta has it. Readyyy also has it bc same creator. Blurring effects is part of this. It’s use with lights so it’s easy for the viewer to focus on something even they have like 12 idols on the stage.  6. Expressions and Movements - This one works with model. A model’s movement and expression should be humanize as possible. Viewer will never appreciate it if the dance steps can’t even works with reality. Tsukiuta has this by showing that even the characters have same dance steps, they still move differently based on their characters. You can see lots of adlibs movement there like Arata jumping late bc he keep waving to the audience in Tsuki no uta. They also don’t have same expressions. Each character has their own way of expressing themselves. 7. Themes - Theme works with lights by answering the question what kind of idol group they are and what kind of song they are singing. If they are the cool group, dim light and red might work. If they are nice guys group, a little bright light with confetti is fine. Best example of this is their work for Readyyy! Different groups and we can see that they have different execution. 8. Transition - All camera shots should be connected smoothly as possible. This is probably one of the reason why I don’t get tired watching their performance repeatedly. It’s really smooth and easy to follow. It don’t gave you a headache.

The people who work on Tsukiuta’s idol performance also work on “Readyyy!”, a new idol franchise. These two below.
youtube
youtube
This is from TsukiPro anime but most of what I’m looking for appeared in this performance too. They use bright light tho since it’s a thank you song. I really love that far shot where there’s confetti falling. It’s so beautiful to look at. See? You don’t need to focus the camera on the characters all the time to make it look good.

This is an irrelevant shitpost but if you still read it I’ll be happy
So
Splatocalypse is coming very soon.
For those who don’t know, Splatocalypse is the name of the Final Splatfest in Splatoon 2, from 18 July 2019 to 21 July 2019.
You know, that game with children who can transforme into squids and octopuses and who fight by throwing ink at each other.
Tumblr media
Yeah, this.
Anyway, the Final Splatfest is coming soon.
And it’s Chaos VS Order.
Tumblr media
(The promotional artwork itself gives you an idea of how much it will indeed be the apocalypse)
I’m Team Chaos btw.
Anyway, I’m not here to talk about who should win, if you should choose this or that team, or doing a theory about it like everyone.
Actually, I’m here to do something much stupider.
I want to know who would go in each team. I’m not talking about the Splatoon’s characters, but from other Fandoms.
Someone has already done it with the Splatoon manga’s characters, so I’m not going to do it with them (even tho there’s one or two characters where I don’t agree their choices but never mind)
I was thinking to do it with the Fandoms I am in.
Tsukiuta/Tsukipro
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Sonic the Hedgehog’s franchise
Transformers Animated
Fairy Tail
Ninjago
Kid Icarus: Uprising
The Legend of Zelda too, maybe ?
Zombieland Saga ???
There must be more but I can’t remind every Fandoms I have been in my life...
Anyway
I don’t have enough time to do them all so I think I’ll do several posts about it ?
Let’s start with Tsukiuta/Tsukipro or more generally, Tsukino Productions’ idols.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I’m planning to tag all the Fandoms I quoted so in case someone decides to read this, is part of one and doesn’t know the others, I decided to make a short introduction of what are each Fandoms)
In short, Tsukino Productions is about idols. Japanese Idols.
Tsukiuta appeared first and is about 24 idols from each sex who are associated with a month (it means there’s a boy and a girl who are in a charge of each month). Those are separated in 4 units: Six Gravity, Procellarum, Fluna and Seleas.
Tsukipro then, is about 4 male units: SolidS, SOARA, QUELL and Growth. They’re really different from each other and have their own specific theme (for exemple, the unit SolidS is adult, mature and sexy while SOARA is about pop-rock and talks about more... friendly things).
I’ll also take VAZZROCK’s idols (who aren’t in any of the animes but I like them all too), but since I don’t know them well, it might be inaccurate (actually, same for the Tsukiuta’s girls;;;;)
TSUKIUTA

[Translation] Tsukiuta. -if- Black Rabbits Kingdom Booklet Novel: Noon
This took a bit more than I was expecting (I caught one hell of a cold so I’m slow, sorry) but finally here’s the second chapter from the black booklet. This was really a rollercoaster. Going from rabbits kooking to d’aaaaaw-ing over Aoi and Hajime.
Assisting translators and proofreaders: @ryota-kunstranslations and @moonlit-manifesto (thank you so much again!!)
Please don’t repost/reuse my translations.
A yawn could be heard, subtly breaking the ordinary humdrum.
He just laughed the moment he got caught.
“You woke up just a while ago, but you’re sleepy already?”
“Nn…… I guess.”
The fact that he didn’t even deny it made me smile even more.
The sight of him smiling and chuckling softly just gives off that “as expected of the prince” impression.
It’s hard to imagine that this face was covered in mud and playing in the back alleys 10 years ago.
However, that is also true.
——In this world, no [royal family] was born.
On a certain day and at a certain time, the one to take over as the leader of our species, our [king], was suddenly elected through a revelation from heaven.
There was no prior notice, and things like birthplace, breed, age, gender were irrelevant.
That guy next door whom you considered to be your equal could suddenly become the [king] overnight. All in all, this world’s structure is unusual and surprising.
That is the way our world has continued to exist for a long time.
How is the [king] chosen by heaven?
At what time will the [king] be appointed?
What is this “heaven” in the first place?
It seems that this topic has been investigated by higher-ups and scholars for a long time, though in the end no clear answer has been offered.
But even so, people know.
Normally, in one person’s lifetime, it’s possible for a number of people to suddenly hear the voice of heaven at least three times.
“Aah, our king was born just now,” was what they’d say excitedly as they looked up at the sky.
The [king] and the [prime minister].
Those two are the pillars of the country, the people who create the foundation.
They will be born no matter what time period, they have no imperfections, and they are one with the world.
[Prince]
An individual so rare and unusual that he is born once every few hundreds of years.
During the period when a [prince] exists, the country flourishes, nature thrives, and due to the grandeurs he brings, he’s considered a symbol of happiness by many.
One theory says that the [prince] is born when the [king]’s power is too great, in order to take over some of that overflowing power, or something along those lines…… Although the theory exists, the real truth is still unknown.
The only thing I need to know is that my childhood friend, Aoi, is this country’s [prince], the one considered by everyone a symbol of happiness.
“The [prince], huh?”
“Hm? What’s with you all of a sudden, Arata?”
“No…...I was wondering, if I stay by Aoi-kun’s side, who is a lucky symbol, I might experience a very lucky ‘encounter’ with someone of the opposite gender or something.
I opened my mouth without any particular thought in my mind and I was already saying something stupid.
But as I was doing so I started to think (hey, that’s not that bad).
On the other hand, Aoi’s shoulders stiffened, and soon after he showed a tight-lipped smile.
(Oh, good grief)
For the longest time, this guy has been especially popular and yet when it comes to topics like these he really can’t handle them.
“......Uhm……That kind of complex… thing… happening that might be lucky for some people is out of range for my power, I think...... probably...”
“Eeh~......”
Whoops, the voice I let out sounded more dissatisfied than I intended it to be.
Ah, look, Aoi’s eyes became colder.
“…...Arata. If you have spare time, please peel those apples over there.”
“Apples? Oh, these ones? Roger, roger.”
It’s not a good idea to anger Aoi who, despite being kind to everyone, doesn’t really go easy on me.
I went to the basket of deep red apples and picked one up from the pile, proceeding to help out as I was told.
A refreshing fragrance tickles my nose.
And without realizing, I snorted. The fruit looked delicious.
‘I want you to bake an apple pie for the king! Ah, but I also want some too! As many as you can make!’
When Kakerun begged Aoi for his share in such an admirable and imploring manner, it was impossible to refuse.
Aoi and Kakeru are on good terms with each other.
When the words ‘for the king’ are attached to a request, its completion is prone to be expedited more so than before.
Well, that’s not only true for Aoi, but everyone born in this country would have almost the same reaction.
As expected from Aoi, he answered ‘with pleasure’ almost immediately as he placed all the supposedly important documents to his left side.
It’s unusual for someone as serious as Aoi to postpone work, despite having enough time left until the deadlines.
However, nobody could blame him.
Prime Minister Haru-san was with us when the discussion took place, and after five minutes he returned with these apples and big expectations for the execution of that pie.
And so have I.
Aoi’s homemade sweets are delicious.
I took out a knife from behind as I hummed a song and picked up an apple with the other hand. After that, I suddenly noticed something.
“Hm? Don’t you usually boil them first when you make apple pie?
“Eh? Ah, yes. That’s right. Today is special.”
Before I realized it, Aoi, who was right beside me, was already kneading the dough with a technique he’s so used to as he explained to me:
“Haru-san will use the peeled skin to make apple tea. We can have that together with the pie.”
“Eeh. Apple tea……. It’s the first time I've heard about something like that, but it sounds delicious.”
“Right? Today’s tea time will be filled with apples.”
Aoi’s humour and laughter is completely as usual.
He’s never angry, irritated, or holds any sort of similar unpleasant feelings for a long time, and he can improve his mood immediately. For that, I consider Aoi a really good guy - always looking at what’s around him, always thinking about those around him and always moving.
“It must be tiring~” is what I’d like to think but really, it’s more of a “Well, that’s his personality. It’d be troublesome if he weren’t like that.”
(That’s how things are, huh?)
I wonder if that’s true.
That’s why Aoi is the prince.
(Ah, but there are times when Aoi’s surroundings make me worry too. It’s always so lively.)
I won’t forget.
One week after Aoi moved to the castle, I was suddenly summoned.
——The castle is situated in the center of the country, a literal centerpoint.
For the members of the general public, the ordinary people, it’s also pretty much a disconnected area.
I was brought to such a place by the older brother of the envoy who was accepted under the ‘king’s imperial command’, and entered in secret through the backdoor.
As the child I was, deep inside I was impatient to find out what important things might be there (even though my expression didn’t look anything like that). When I saw Aoi sleeping soundly as he clung closely to Hajime-san, it finally occurred to me that this was a fairly serious situation and that they were both very exhausted.
Nevertheless, Hajime-san told me something back then.
“He’s always crying at night.”
“Eh?”
“I’m sure he must be lonely. …...It’s my fault. This power was originally the burden of a single person, though I couldn’t prevent it from overflowing and a [prince] was born. He’s still a child.”
Aoi and I are the same age. Hajime-san is one year older (something I got to know afterwards).
Honestly, both of them are still [children].
However, Hajime-san, who considered Aoi to still be a ‘child’, seemed very strange to me at the time. Really, to me it felt a bit confusing that he was so mature in everything, save for his appearance.
While I was still bewildered, I said frankly.
“......If that’s the case, aren’t you, the king, also a child?”
Hajime-san opened his eyes a little.
And then, despite being faint and lasting only a few moments, he smiled.
“.......Maybe you’re right.”
After that, Hajime-san ignored the fact that I entered through the backdoor. When Aoi appeared and asked me why I was there with a face only he could make, I answered “It’s troublesome so I’ll live here.”
Hajime-san was surprised, but my reason was simple enough.
I didn’t want to see Aoi crying again, and the king also seemed to be interesting. I think I admired a little that envoy’s older brother who brought me here.
I thought that I wanted to look like that, too and that I wanted to have this job.
‘The envoy that was accepted under ‘the king’s imperial command’ …… sounded pretty good.
I’ve never told this to anyone, but at that time and even now, I aspire to be a ‘messenger of justice’.
So just like that, I started to live in the castle.
“Aoi……?”
“Yes?”
“Do you hate the fact that you became the [prince]?”
“...... You’re pretty direct, huh…”
“How would you like me to phrase it then?”
“Yeah, I get it. That’s so like Arata, huh.”
Aoi laughed out loud and raised his face from looking down at the bowl.
While looking straight into my eyes, he said.
“Not even once have I thought it to be something unpleasant. I am proud to be the [prince].”
I wonder why I felt relieved when I heard Aoi’s answer.
“Really?”
“Really.”
As soon as Aoi said that, his ears moved as if startled.
It’s become a habit of his when he’s searching for what to say.
It’s a habit of his when he’s serious.
That’s why I also showed my most serious expression (although apparently, it’s impossible to tell), and I waited for Aoi’s words.
“...... Perhaps, no matter what my heart might have wanted, I still would have accepted what the revelation declared. Even so, I’m definitely proud I was the one bestowed with this role. Someone has to do it, and I feel grateful for being chosen to do so.”
That fixed gaze Aoi displayed during our talk reminded me a bit of the king’s.
It might be because the [king] and the [prince] have an unusual bond, unbeknownst to any other person.
No, it might be because they resemble each other so much that those two became [king] and, respectively, [prince].
“It might sound like an excuse, but the reason why I cried when I was younger wasn’t because I disliked being the [prince]. I was…...just a little lonely.”
“You were lonely……?”
“Yes. I was lonely and scared because I had been suddenly separated from all the various things I had up until that point. It was a strange feeling. When I was closing my eyes, it was like I could see any corner of the world…… Being able to view to such a large extent was scary. It looked as if I was abandoned in that vast world…...”
“Really? …… A large visual field, huh?”
I was honestly impressed to find out the [king] and the [prince] have such powers.
I probably just heard a story that normally cannot be told so recklessly.
“However, now I know that’s not true. I can feel it. I was not abandoned by myself and I’m not a part of that wide world. We’re all together in this, everyone is supporting the world together with Hajime-san. That makes me happy. Happy and proud.”
Aoi said all that in one breath, then suddenly looked back at me.
His ears were fidgeting.
He has that habit when he’s restless.
“Uhm, well…. I got fired up because of this talk, but that’s how things are. I’m sorry I dragged you into this, though I am going to give my all for many years to come. That is my resolution.”
“What? I don’t think I was dragged in~. Rather than that…… Ah,”
The fact that I decided this by myself is a secret that I hadn’t revealed to Aoi until this very day.
So I shut my mouth in panic.
“?”
If I have to describe aloud being able to accomplish my dream job and my inner satisfaction, I could at least reduce the amount of teasing material.
So I decided to twist the story from the start.
“Hmm, actually, entering this place requires so many important things like procedures and appointments, but leaving is so simple. I only have to report that I’m going out, right?”
“Ah, yes. I was surprised by that too. It’s thanks to that fact that I can return home once in a while.”
That’s because you’re escorted (by me or someone else).
However, I’m certain when I say that the Kingdom of Black Rabbits is extremely peaceful.
People from other countries are envious of us, we have a good government managed by Hajime-san, and I can say that there’s no one here who’d ever think of attacking the prince, who’s like a friend to everyone.
The guard is only an artifice, and as soon as he’s near his family’s house, Aoi becomes carefree.
“It’s disappointing. I also can go home only once per week. Even someone as lazy as me can be of service to the castle. When the Uduki family found out I made it to a place that offers three meals a day and a nap at noon, they shed tears of joy.”
“That’s an exaggeration. Also…… that noon nap is probably not included?”
“That one is well, more like an option.”
“You’re doing it without permission.”
Just as he laughed, Aoi took out the dough from the bowl.
He places it on the table and picks up the rolling pin.
I instinctively leaned forward.
“D-do you want to stretch it? Do you want to be the one to do it instead?”
“Arata, you sure do like watching me stretch the dough.”
“It seems fun. Stretching it, putting it back, then stretching it again. It reminds me of clay.”
“Aah……, Arata certainly liked playing with clay and mud, didn’t you? There was a time when you kept on making mud balls en mass by yourself. Though you made too many and I got angry.”
“You’re wrong, You didn’t get angry because I made too many. I encircled the entrance door’s perimeter with 5 layers of mud balls. My elder sister couldn’t get out.”
“Ahaha.”
Aoi uses the rolling pin skillfully and the dough grows thinner and wider.
(Wide…… huh? Maybe the world spreads out just like this.)
It becomes bigger, wider, and changes its shape, but something remained the same.
Hajime-san became the king, but he’s still Hajime-san.
Aoi became the prince, but he’s still Aoi.

Video
youtube
Hello Everyone! I’m being a terrible adult and skipping work today, so I thought I’d post some more clips. Here we have the White Kingdom infiltration scene from Black Rabbits ver. 1. ver. White 1&2 are coming later today.  I have a conspiracy theory that they combine recordings from ver. 1 and ver. 2 as Aoi and Arata’s close-up lines are identical in both versions (and that shouldn’t happen live).
You was here for this scene (he didn’t do the dance segments, but he performed in the actual play).
Embedded video is posted via Youtube, if you do not have access to Youtube or it is blocked for you, you can view/download the clip via Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L-Opyjm4yjr-Izxilok_-uxBI6due2z7/view?usp=sharing. I’ll add a GDrive link for the previous clip too.
Interested in owning the play for yourself? Check out this post: https://yoinenchuugumi.tumblr.com/post/181177887509/tsukisuta-rabbits-kingdom-ver-black-blu-ray to see how you can get a copy of your own.
I do not own Tsukiuta/Tsukista. This clip was taken from my own private Blu-Ray collection. Please do not reupload/post to another website without my permission.  Please support the original creators and purchase the Blu Ray from CDJapan or Animate International.

Will shimotsuki, mutsuki, satsuki and nagatsuki mean something if the prefixes shimo- mu- sa- and naga- are separated from tsuki? What I really mean is will they have meaning with moon in it as in kurotsuki and shirotsuki? Thank you ^^
I’m sorry but I’m not fluent in Japanese TwT
I suggest you to check out Tsukiuta Wiki --> http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Tsukiuta_Wiki
But I’ll just write the explanation here:
There it said “Shimotsuki“ is the eleventh month of the lunar calendar so I think it’s a word that stands by itself...?
Meanwhile “Mutsuki“ is the archaic(old-fashioned) name for the first month of the lunar calendar (January).
“Satsuki”  is just a name of the fifth month of the lunar calendar, too.
But “Nagatsuki“ is a bit different. It is also an archaic name of the ninth month in lunar calendar (September) . But it can be broken into two words : “Long“ and “Moon/Month. One theory also stated that “Nagatsuki“ is a possible abbreviation of the word “Yonagatsuki“ which means “The month with long nights“ because of people’s belief that the ninth month in Chinese lunar calendar signaled the coming of long nights as a contrast to short nights during summer.
Hope that helps and you’re welcome! >w

Think about this
and I know @tsukinokiss may or may not be able to relate to this but we shall see Do you ever stop and think about all the different...”worlds” that you have wanted to visit because of Anime since it really hit big here in the late 90s and even more so over the past few years with all the stream sites that we have at our disposal to watch our favorite Animes or to discover new ones? If you have then I think you may understand for people like me what its like when you are someone that is a “self-insertist” (and this was before I knew what the hell that term meant) because if someone were to sit down and ask me this question: “What does your blog title mean?” Well here’s a good way to describe it Imagine working in an Office Complex and its just YOU at that time.  Now imagine that over time as you start to like certain series’ or certain characters from series’ that you watched that they come to “work there” and then over time you go to “visit” them in “their worlds” when you write your fics for that series.  You may or may not be a fan of the series as a whole but again you might have characters you like so you write a story including them so that you can visit them whenever you want and keep them close to you in your mind and your heart. Now this can cause a problem because you see the more show you watch the more people come to visit and work with you so you have to make time for them too!  This can be a problem because you have to devote the time and the energy for that group of people but you can’t forget the others that you love and care about either. Like look at me right?  One of my all-time faves is the very handsome and charming Yukari Mishakuji from K Pro BUT because of how many others have moved into the office and how many new places I have to visit..,my time with him sadly has been very limited.  Its not that I don’t love or care about him...that’s not it at all but its harder the more I go off to explore other places that I want to visit with some of my other faves or as the term goes in our field “Fictional Others” or “f/o” for short. Since about 2013 if you asked me to name some of the series’ that I have grown close to well let’s try it Brothers Conflict Diabolik Lovers (The Mukamis, Reiji and Shu) Uta no Prince-Sama (HEAVENS and QN) Kuroko’s Basketball (All schools but if you asked me to name one in particular...Kaijo believe it or not and even Rakuzan) K Project (Scepter 4 and their King Reisi Munakata as well as JUNGLE’s Swordsman Yukari Mishakuji) Tsukiuta (Gravi as a Unit but individually Haru and Shun) Gundam Wing (Zechs Marquise...he was one of the OGs from my old fic days) Sailor Moon (Yaten Kou/Star Healer ,Sailor Mars and Zoisite) I could go on but we would be here for like 20 years and I ain’t got that kind of time Its partly because of this sometimes I am almost afraid to say “I’m in Fandom x” because you never know how some people would take it and that’s just wrong you know?  The point of a fandom is people find ways to create content for a series that they like and...as long as its not truly problematic people should be allowed to create that content.  Its why I’m glad honestly we have blogs on here like @selfinsertlove and @selfinsertheaven because sometimes if I am stuck for an idea I think this year I am going to start doing a prompt from the blog to try and write something with one of my pairings or verses that I enjoy. Like I said this in my video last night:  If it wasn’t for Anime I dunno honestly if i would be nearly as creative or passionate as I am right now!  I love to create content for different shows but I’m no artist or gif maker (now let me figure out Photshop CS2 and that might change) but I write my stories and theories about different series’ to contribute and its one of the things that I enjoy doing A LOT and to get back to my original point its what the “Wondrous World” is for me. Its like this right When I was younger for a lot of different reasons I didn’t have a lot of “real” friends” and legit most of them were in my head and they came from video games.  This was in the 1980s wen I was going to a Catholic School at the time and kids were nasty to me something fierce which caused problems for me because even back then I didn’t take guff from kids and I got more detentions than you could imagine. Legitimately all my “imaginary” friends that I had came from cartoons or video games back then and its not something I am ENTIRELY proud to talk about but when you are that kid in school that got bullied and fucked with by your classmates in general it creates a situation and even my mother and grandparents didn’t know how to deal with it...to be honest I still don’t think they know. Now when we fast forward to when I was in High School and then of course now because of Anime there are a lot of people I met for real that were good people and I do sincerely call them my friends and I mean it.  For me thought when I write a fic about one of the Animes that I like or when I write my “skits” from the “Office” that I work in it gives me a chance to meet with the other people that I love and care about from different Animes because to me they never will go away and I’m 35 years old soon to be 36 and I love each and every one of them dearly like I love all of you as friends and followers. I think the one thing that fandoms can/should do more of (if they don’t already) is embrace those kinds of people because here’s the thing...these people want to show you their own take on a series and showing support for it.  Its something that can spark a unique discussion because you can talk to these people and find out WHY they like certain characters or groups and THAT is something that is so important you don’t even know. I’ll leave you with this Self-Inserts in any fandom and ESPECIALLY Western and Japanese Anime fandoms are arguably one of the most important things you can see because with them you can open up dialogues and maybe introduce people to a show they might not even watch otherwise.  Its something that DOES take time to get used to because if you put out an S/I story or art you may or may not get backlash from a fandom but don’t let that discourage you...EVER!  Keep creating your individual stories/arts with the shows and characters that mean  a lot to you and you will be AMAZED at how much you enjoy it in the end!

So, I am a new fan. But, I have a question. What is your opinion on KaiShun, a lot of your theories has one sided KaiShun (Personally I like everyone having a crush on Beautiful Shun, but his heart belongs to Hajime) I was just curious about what do you think of modern one-sided KaiShun?
Welcome to the Tsukiuta fandom! And of course HajiShun!
I think you can see from my mare AMV what I think of one-sided KaiShun lol.
Originally I was only shipping HajiShun from the anime. I usually only ship one pairing so I didn’t consider KaiShun at all.
Then I got the idea that Shun could be the reincarnation of Kai’s girl and wrote White Dream and started from there
However it started very objectively. I didn’t write White Dream because I shipped KaiShun, I wrote it as a character piece for Shimotsuki Shun and because the theory made sense to me. I wasn’t shipping KaiShun, one-sided or not.
Then I got into the fandom and more and more information and I really liked Kai. Seriously, I like Kai more than Hajime. I found out my theory wasn’t so far-fetched after all and could actually be true. I think the Mare AMV I posted here on tumblr can explain it better than I can. But even this year on Tanabata it was Shun who accompanied Kai the whole day, on Tanabata the day the two star crossed lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi meet. And we have the Drama CD which you can see in my AMV. Kai said when Shun said it, it sounds like the girl is saying it. And Shun replied, ‘It’s probably true.” Shun also thanked Kai in the Drama CD. I’m not sure if you can hear it in the AMV but it was actually in a soft, low voice as if he was speaking to himself. And it was after Kai acknowledged his important memories changed him
Kai: Yep! My whole life was in Osaka. I’ve moved to Tokyo but my grandmother’s house is over there. Even now, when there’s a long break, I’ll go back over there (to Osaka).
Shun: I see… that was how Kai gained strong memories over there.
Kai: What’s that?
Shun: I just thought that there has to be some important, strong memories for Kai over there.
Kai: Important memories?
Shun: Moreover, it was something indispensable to the Kai of back then; so that he will turn into the current Kai. I understand that it can’t be said to me whom you’ve only just known for a little while. Therefore, I won’t listen to it now.
Kai: Oh…
Shun: Are you surprised?
Kai: I’m surprised. Of course I’d be surprised. The current me probably don’t really get it, but what you said is probably correct. What are you, Shun, that kind of.. um… Onmyouji or whatever- those kind of people?
Shun: Hehehe, no! Aah, but I think something similar to that certainly did exist (in his lineage)…
Kai: Ehhh! That’s amazing!
Shun: Ah, I’m sorry, Kai. Since you were so into it, I just rushed into it too much. Did it make the mood bad?
Kai: Hm? Not really! There’s nothing like that. I thought that purity is amazing. I’ve said this before but I’m not changing my tastes.
Shun: I won’t make you. Thank you, Kai.
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Kimi_ni_Hana_wo,_Kimi_ni_Hoshi_wo_(Mini-drama)
Ok so according to my friend, Kai’s line is actually literally, “I genuinely think it’s amazing. (in this context, junsui makes more sense as ‘genuine’, Kai said, ‘junsui ni sugoi to omou kedo) But let me tell you, I am not buying your jar.” And Shun replies, “I was not trying to sell you anything.”
I’m still a bit confused over it and he was too but basically Kai was saying to Shun he wasn’t buying Shun’s ideas or words or anything. What is more significant after that is that Shun says he wasn’t trying to sell anything to Kai, in that he wasn’t trying to make Kai change his mind. Which was normal. But then he says in a low voice to himself, “Thank you, Kai.” (you can hear this in the AMV)
Why would Shun thank Kai after knowing Kai’s memories with that girl were indeed indispensable and made Kai turn into the current Kai? And why would he say it in a low voice like he’s talking to himself?
It would make sense if he was the reincarnation of Kai’s girl and is grateful for Kai being so influenced by her to the point that he decided to live his life without regrets for her. But at the same time feels a bit guilty because he doesn’t return Kai’s passionate feelings.
Shun: Shun…
Kai: ?
Shun: You’re not going to do it, calling me Shun? Kai.
Kai: Not Shun-sama?
Shun: ‘Shun’ is fine. Since this tea is very good, I’ll be merciful. To you, and to the others.
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Hajimemashite_Maou-hen
This would also explain why Shun said this suddenly in his and Kai’s first meeting. He wants Kai to call him by his name in his current life. Also when Shun appeared in the scene he naturally asked Kai to make tea for him and then milk tea and Kai just obediently obeyed like he was used to it LOL
Also Shun has said he wants to sleep until he dies. And he sleeps a lot (like the girl who had a weak heart and couldn’t really move much from her bed). And in Kai’s drama CD, he said, “You’ll wake me up, right?” Notice this is likely the first time (or one of the first few times) Kai wakes Shun up because he says later on, “Are they an engine that’s hard to wake up? All of us, we’re supposed to be members of an idol group, aren’t we?”
Why would Shun say, “You’ll wake me up, right?” specifically to Kai and was waiting for Kai to come wake him up even though this is shortly after his first time meeting Kai? It would make sense if the unreasonable expectation he has of Kai coming to wake him up is from his life as Kai’s girl whom Kai probably came to wake up when he visited her.
I know Mizuki has been said to be the reincarnation of Kai’s girl because of her hairstyle and her songs but as I explained, her songs don’t parallel Kai’s. She reaches out her hand, but can’t touch his hand. But Kai sings the person touched his hand. Logically, the person can’t be Mizuki.
Shun and Mizuki also have a lot in common. They both sleep in (but Shun sleeps in much more and Mizuki hasn’t said she wanted to sleep until she dies) They both have a partner they love to tease and can rely on, Kai for Shun and Yuno for Mizuki (Yuno also has a penchant for cute things unlike her masculine appearance like Kai loves sweet things). Mizuki loves to take photographs, and Shun has a photographic memory (taking photographs with his mind lol) They both giggle ‘ehehe’ and ‘fufufu’ and they’re both from noble families. And they both like to drink tea. And they’re elegant and graceful and say mysterious things. And they both have cat-like eyes. Their hairstyle is also similar to Kai’s girl. Yes Mizuki has the braid but if you see Shun’s hair in the transitions in the AMV or my note for White Dream, it’s the exact same design with Kai’s girl, especially at the back. And more importantly their expressions are the same.
Annnnnnd Kai’s girl said when Kai gave her the flower, “I won’t forget it. I’ll treasure it.” And who was the one who returned Kai the flower? Not Mizuki but Shun. Plus Kai said his girl was smiling even in her final moments. Yes smiling Shun, Shun always smiles. Buuuut more importantly. She could have been smiling to reassure Kai, but she could also have been smiling because she knew she would be reborn into a better life (which is why Shun says he wants to sleep until he dies, also that lying in bed and gently cheering everyone who works hard suits him more). Yes she was the same age as Kai, and yes Shun was already alive then. But Mizuki was also already alive then. So if Mizuki can be the reincarnation of Kai’s girl despite that Shun can be too.
And the mare song (which Kai sang after that event when Shun saved him) just confirms it really.
The miracle of chancing upon you is our written taleThe starry sky voyage shall keep heading forward
The memory for the sake of finding the right thing to give to you in return
Because I still want to spin it with you…
From now on too… stay by my side, and wait for it, okay?
- Fuduki Kai, mare~Kimi_to_Tsudzuru_Koukai_Nisshi~
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Mare~Kimi_to_Tsudzuru_Koukai_Nisshi~
Ok so first we assume Kai is singing to his girl like all his songs are. Because of the ‘spinning words’ (spinning tanzaku) and because - well all his songs except Beast Master are for his girl.
But then this doesn’t make sense because Kai sings for the person to stay by his side until he finds the something in return to give them? So the person is alive. And could potentially not be Kai’s girl.
So ok maybe he’s singing to Mizuki finally realizing that Mizuki is her. But then Mizuki isn’t by his side? Kai is in Procella, Mizuki is in Seleas. They don’t meet each other often. She’s not the one by his side. And Kai sings, ‘Gentle encouragement, words of sympathy‘ which is basically what Shun gives to Kai everytime he talks about his girl.
And then we have the last lines, ‘chancing upon you’ could be Kai chancing upon his girl, or Kai chancing upon Shun. Either way, ‘the starry sky voyage shall keep heading forward’. So Tanabata still, but with a twist, they can head forward. And then Kai wanting to find the memory to give the person the right thing in return because he still wants to spin it with them. Ok so confirmation the song is still about his girl like all his songs are, because his girl is associated with Tanabata (tanzaku, spinning in the wind like at the end of episode 5)
But then how would the starry sky voyage be able to head forward if she’s dead? That means she’s alive, but in another form, that she was reborn somehow. In that way, Kai wanting to find the memory to give the person the right thing in return is referring to his memory of her like in all his songs. And the person he wants to give something in return to is her.
And if he sings to the person that he wants them to continue staying by his side, then the person is already by his side. And who else is by Kai’s side but his partner, Shun?
Which means, song-wise, Kai has realized Shun is the girl who was his childhood love, or at least, realized he has some connection to her. Also the mare song is after episode 5 where Shun had the same expressions as Kai’s girl and seemed to know what was going on and saved Kai and gave back Kai the flower he gave his girl. I think that’s confirmation enough already.
So yeah. I like Kai a lot and so I ship KaiShun modern one-sided because of this theory of mine.
But Shun’s heart belongs to Hajime. At the end of the Kimi ni Hana Drama CD, Shun has literally stated Hajime is his first love, bringing his Hajime-LOVE episode up when Kai asked him to talk about his first love. And the Kimi ni Hana CD was where Shun was trying to hint that he had connection to Kai’s girl, that he was Kai’s girl.
It went to the extent that he replied, “It’s probably true.” when Kai said, “When you say it, it really makes me feel as if she’s the one saying it.” (literal translation, “Just like you said, did it really seem like what she had said?” either way, referring to how when Shun says it, it sounds like what Kai’s girl would say. Note that the translation I use in my AMV is from my friend who studied Japanese formally and doesn’t know Tsukiuta so he has no bias, all he knew when he translated it is the original translation and how I need to confirm the translation because I’m going to be using it in my AMV, he doesn’t know what the AMV is about. So he has no bias in translating. When he gave me his translation I was also surprised too lol that that was what it really meant).
I don’t think Shun can get any more obvious than that lol. And yet Shun said at the end Hajime is his first love, implying that as Kai said to him (that his feelings were one-sided, he doesn’t return Kai’s feelings (perhaps even in his life as Kai’s girl)
You know sometimes I really want to ship KaiShun because I like Kai more than Hajime and I love Shun and Kai treats Shun so well and takes care of him so well and Shun is so cute with his giggling and his teasing of Kai and they’re just so cute together.
And yes I also like everyone having a crush on Beautiful Shun because Shun deserves to be loved. He’s practically Tsukiuta’s hidden heroine. He’s Kai’s confidante, flirts with You, teases and takes care of Rui, helps Yoru with his confidence issues, looks after Iku (and was the Cinderella to his Prince Charming LOL) Just like the heroine in a harem show takes care of all the guys with her kindness and selflessness (but also is oblivious and dense which is what makes Shun different even if he were an actual girl). Shun even has the one guy the heroine pays special attention to trope and the one guy is even the cool type LOL. That guy is of course Hajime, only this isn’t a shojo manga or harem anime and he pushes the person who has romantic interest in him away.
So yeah Hajime. Ugh Hajime…….
Sigh. Anyway. Shun is precious to me. I want him to be happy. And he’s happy with Kai, and I believe Kai, especially if he realizes Shun is his childhood love, could make him happy.
But the one who really makes Shun happy is Hajime. Hajime makes Shun excited, makes him giggle happily and happily try to hug his love, he makes Shun get out from his bed just so he could spend time with Hajime, even if he doesn’t return Shun’s feelings, he gives Shun happiness he never had before as the distant human observer he was.
Shun really did everything for Hajime, and he’d do anything for Hajime. He woke Kai up to cook instant yakisoba for him in the middle of the night but he cooked dinner for Hajime (despite not being able to cook, saying he could cook a full course French meal if it’s for Hajime) So yes Kai would be a better choice but he’s the nice guy. You know how it goes, the nice guy in a love triangle always loses. So modern one-sided KaiShun…ah yeah one-sided. But if Kai realizes Shun is his childhood love and manages to sway Shun’s heart it would be interesting. It might wake Hajime up (he at least seems to be emotionally affected by Shun just like how Shun is with him, from his reaction in their twitter fight) and let him see Shun. Or maybe when Hajime gives like a final rejection and actually manages to hurt Shun (ahh) Shun might turn to Kai, because Kai can take care of him and his feelings well. And Hajime might finally wake up.
It really all depends on what Shun decides. If Shun could grow to fall in love with Kai and forget Hajime, I would ship KaiShun.
But for Shun, Hajime changed him and gave him the passion he never had before for life and himself. Kai is perhaps reminder of a life he wants to leave behind. A bittersweet one, for he likes Kai and is grateful and wants Kai by his side but in his current life, not as the girl who was kind but not free (I suspect that’s where him saying freedom is the most important thing to him comes from).
In other words, I just want Shun to be happy. Hajime is the one who makes Shun the happiest right now, so I ship HajiShun.

Tsukiuta Greek Mythology Theory: Nenchou-gumi (Part I)
Hi so this is a theory that the origin of Tsukiuta is from Greek mythology.
Tsukiuta, while being light-hearted and fun, has mysterious things that make the setting seem a bit enigmatic.
Such as the goddesses living on the moon and Shun who calls himself the Demon Lord, with the many pets they keep in the dorm, some of them from the Underworld like Diablo and Magellan.
Interestingly, we came across certain themes in the songs that made us think.
There seems to be a constant theme of time, forgetting, moving on, etc.
The next roulette that began to spin can’t return anymore
Let’s moving on.
May it resound far away into the distance
Please come with me.
- Six Gravity, Gravity
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/GRAVITY!_(song)
Even the bright and happy Kakeru and Koi sing about the ‘worthless reality’ and finding everything that is ‘asleep’.
This could be implying their memories could be sealed as ‘time flows, always’ in their duet song, Inocencia.
It would’ve been good if I could remain in a beautiful state
It slowly disappears, always giving and taking with no meaning
Because it is buried in the worthless reality
We will find it within you
Everything that is asleep......
From now on I tear off the pages, along  with many thoughts and feelings
Being filled up with memories, is our Inocencia
- Inocencia, Kisaragi Koi & Shiawasu Kakeru
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Inocencia_(song)
Six Gravity also sings about a labyrinth (GRAVITIC-LOVE) and Procellarum sings about the end of the world (One Chance).
So we thought Tsukiuta could be a story of reincarnation (with the mysterious Tsukino Mikoto knowing everything) due to something they did in the past which is why they have to go through an endless cycle of time.
In Tsuki no Uta especially, they sing about not being alone, that everyone is there with them.
Kai in particular sings about ‘memories sunk deep into the ocean’ (I’ll get to this part later).
While Tsuki no Uta is a song for fans, the lyrics seem a bit too serious at parts.
And could be holding a deeper meaning for Tsukiuta
Even if one day this voice will be reduced to ashes
We won't let you feel lonely
Putting our thoughts in it, stronger than anyone else; come on
Shall we play it out? The Song of the Moon
- Tsuki no Uta, Procellarum & Six Gravity
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Tsuki_no_Uta.
‘Even if one day this voice will be reduced to ashes’ seems rather ominous sounding.
Also, there are Vocaloid producers who produce some of the songs, in particular Machigerita for Hajime, Kikuo for Shun and Hitoshizuku×Yama△ for Kai.
These producers have produced some dark songs. For example, Blessed Messiah and the Tower of Ai (Hitoshizuku×Yama△), Dark Woods Circus (Machigerita)
Hajime’s Hyourin Shiki talks about the ‘wheel of suffering’ and ‘laughter of fellow demons’. Mutsubi no Tsuki and the Nade Nade song talk about a crying someone and his soul disappearing.
Since the leader of Tsukiuta’s songs are produced by a producer who does dark, creepy horror songs for Vocaloid, there could be a deeper, darker story potentially behind the light-hearted but mysterious setting for Tsukiuta.
I got the idea that Tsukiuta could originate from Greek mythology from Iku’s original song title
Tumblr media
Orpheus is the guy from Greek mythology whose music was so beautiful he charmed everyone. Just like Iku’s Flash and manly aura which can affect anyone even the girl-loving You.
The lyrics of Iku’s other song matches as well, since he sings about his head still being attached to his body. Orpheus’s head was detached from his body when he was killed.
Because we’re still not sure what exactly happened in Greek mythology, only that they all screwed up somehow (and maybe all ended up in the Underworld), we decided to focus on what we do know.
It took some time but we managed to figure out everyone’s identities.
However as the title says I will be doing the Senior Group first because they’re the ones we’re most certain of.
And also because they’re the ones I like the most~and it makes quite a few things make sense.
We’ll start with the two leaders of course, because they started everything.
Do note though that the identities of the Tsukiuta guys as Greek Gods and Goddesses and Humans is not determined by gender. As in, they’re not determined by how effeminate a guy is (Yoru, Aoi).
So there will be genderbending because their identities are based on canon characteristics and information about them which correspond to the characters in Greek mythology. For example, Hajime is hailed as a King, and his original form in Greek mythology was a King as well. Similarly, Haru is knowledgeable, so his original form in Greek mythology is someone known for their knowledge.
So for some characters, it just so happens that their canon characteristics coincide with female characters in Greek mythology - whether they’re actually known as the feminine ones or not.
Do note also that there will be mentions of pairings according to the storyline and canon information. The pairings discussed in this analysis (both parts) will be HajiShun, HajiYuki, KaiShun and HaruHaji. They will all be discussed in accordance with the story and canon information, as well as my other analyses.
Ah do be reminded though that this is, as the title says, a theory. It is an attempt to make sense of canon information while thinking about everyone’s characters. Just like my Butterfly and Camellia Theory in the Durarara fandom which was based on canon information as well.
You do not have to subscribe to it or believe it if you do not wish to, I don’t want to force my opinion on anyone.
You’re free to agree, disagree, ignore, think we’re thinking too much, whatever. Just please be nice and courteous, alright? This fandom is small enough as it is after all. Arguments don’t go towards creating content.
Thanks of course to @aina-akabane and @kirakirafairyprincess, I enjoyed our discussions together.
Thank you @tsukiuta-obsessed for supporting our theory. @judaiteitoreokou @shiroekoyuki @six-gravity-procellarum if you’re interested since this has HajiShun. No need to feel obliged though! It’s long lol
With that, let us begin.
From analysis of the senior group and their relationships, the story in Greek Mythology that could be the origin is the Odyssey.
The Odyssey, originally by Homer is about the epic adventure of a King who won the Trojan War and made his grueling way back to his city of Ithaca.
Along the way he encounters various mythical beings, such as a cyclops and a witch. His journey was hampened by Poseidon, God of the Sea, when he blinded his son. And he was protected and guided by Athena.
It was a long journey which took 10 years. The Odyssey is a classic and the main character Odysseus is one of the famous Greek heroes like Hercules.
   Hajime: Odysseus
Hajime is, of course, the King Odysseus, known for his intelligence, wit and cunning.
Odysseus was a legendary Greek king of Ithaca  and the hero of Homer's epic poem the Odyssey.
Odysseus is renowned for his intellectual brilliance, guile, and versatility (polytropos), and is hence known by the epithet Odysseus the Cunning (mētis, or "cunning intelligence"). He is most famous for his nostos or “homecoming”, which took him ten eventful years after the decade-long Trojan War.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odysseus
Odysseus was the King who won the Trojan War with his wit and cunning.
He tricked the enemy into thinking they had surrendered and hid himself and his men into the Trojan Horse. The Spartans brought it into their kingdom as a sign of victory, only to be ambushed by the men from inside the Trojan horse.
However, he is famously known for his long journey back home which took ten years, and his resolution to return home. And reassert his rightful place as King of Ithaca.
In his high school years, even the third years bowed their heads down to him despite that he was still a first year

Hajime as having been Odysseus – a legendary King in his original life would make sense why he has a King-like aura. And why everyone naturally treats him as a King, even becoming like his servants.
He was also once a mischievous child, and playing pranks on people requires trickery. Which was one of Odysseus’s qualities.
Like when he came up with the plan of tricking the Spartans with the Trojan Horse to win the war.
While on one hunting trip, Odysseus was gored by a wild boar, an incident that left a scar.
It soon became evident during his early that Odysseus possessed certain unique abilities and talents, including an ability to solve problems and outwit opponents.
Has never played games that are normally popular with people his age, but is exceptionally skilled at mind games such as chess and shogi in exchange
Source: tsukiutass 1・2
 http://tsukineta.tumblr.com/post/125159393626/mutsuki-hajime-7
Chess and shogi require the ability to outwit opponents, which was again, another trait of Odysseus. Despite being a normal teenager (though from a rich, reputed family) Hajime seemed to prefer mind games like chess and shogi instead.
Odysseus was also known for his speaking abilities. It was often said that once he spoke, no one could resist him.
It was his intelligence that attracted the attention of ATHENA, a goddess who would become Odysseus’ protector during the Trojan War and later during his attempts to return home. She would prove to be a trusted source of advice and guidance.
In episode 11, Hajime admitted he hadn’t prepared a speech at all. But when Haru said to hear from their leader, he just spoke and everyone was immediately charmed by his speech.
Known for his leadership skills, wit, and intelligence, Odysseus is most famous for his ten-year journey had after the Trojan War.
https://greekgodsandgoddesses.net/heroes/odysseus/
And of course Hajime is extremely intelligent – so intelligent he beat Shun, who has a super memory that lets him memorize anything after seeing it once, in academics in the most prestigious high school in Japan.
He is also a great leader not only for Six Gravity but for Six Gravity and Procellarum combined. Procellarum respects him just as much as Six Gravity does. And the leader of Procellarum is willing to listen to him when he doesn’t listen to anyone else.
It’s Hajime who leads the idol groups to greater heights and towards their dream. Just like Odysseus single-handedly led his men through the 10 year journey back to Ithaca, even if he ended up losing them in the end.
Yet Hajime also has a tendency to handle everything by himself and only the other leader Shun could get through to him. He seems to be one step ahead of everyone else in his thinking, thinking their dream had already ended.
His tendency to take all the burden on himself could be due to him having been a real King and having to take responsibility for his men’s lives (who died because they didn’t listen to him, not due to his inadequacy in leading them) as they made their way back to their homeland.
Their journey back after the Trojan war was harsh because of Odysseus.
The battle continued for many years. At one point, it looked as if the Greeks were going to lose. In fact, they pretended to sail away in defeat and left a wooden horse was left behind. However, it was a trick. The large wooden horse was taken into the city as a victory trophy for having “defeated” the Greeks. Once the gates to the city were opened to allow the grand gift inside, Odysseus and the other warriors came out from the inside of the wooden horse.
The war was over and Odysseus began his journey back home. In some stories, it’s claimed that Odysseus is the one who came up with the idea of using the Trojan Horse as a hiding place. As a result of this trick, the Spartans were defeated and the Greeks were victorious in recapturing the City of Troy.
The Gods were reportedly angry over the fact that the Greeks used trickery and deceit to win the war rather than win in a “fair” fight. Because of this, they vowed to make it difficult for Odysseus and his men to return home.
The trick Odysseus had used with the Trojan Horse to ambush the Spartans and win the war angered the gods. In addition, when he met the cyclops Polyphemus, he blinded him with a spike so he and his men could escape from the island. Unfortunately, Polyphemus was the son of the Sea God Poseidon, who was angry at what Odysseus had done to his son and made his journey hoame hard with storms and raging seas.
It could be because of this responsibility he held over their journey home being hard, that Odysseus was responsible for their journey home and their lives.
That could be why Hajime feels responsible for everything and that he needs to take all the burden and responsibility on himself, because of his original past life as the Greek hero Odysseus.
Also speaking about Poseidon making their journey hard, Odysseus had to return home in a ship.
On reaching the shore, we dragged the vessel down to the glittering sea, and set up mast and sail in our black ship. Then we hauled the sheep aboard, and embarked ourselves, weeping, shedding huge tears. Still, Circe of the lovely tresses, dread goddess with a human voice, sent us a good companion to help us, a fresh wind from astern of our dark-prowed ship to fill the sail. And when we had set the tackle in order fore and aft, we sat down, and let the wind and the helmsman keep her course. All day long with straining sail she glided over the sea, till the sun set and all the waves grew dark.
http://www.poetryintranslation.com/PITBR/Greek/Odyssey11.htm
And the ship was black. Which would explain why Hajime is the Black King.
Because he returned home (alone) on a black ship.
Ah…today I’ll be going home this way. Ah? No, it’s not that I have anything to do in particular. It’s just… I want to walk around a bit before going home. Idi-ot, it’s just a little detour, why is it necessary for you guys to keep me company? Other than me, you guys have prep school to begin with, am I wrong? Hey, just hurry up and go. Yeah! See you.
*Sigh* I wonder why they always decided to go with me, aren’t there times that it’s much more comfortable to be alone?
Uuh……, ah no, in this case, am I the one that’s unusual? Come to think of it, for a very long time, it was simply hard for me to be together with everyone else. Haa… That’s right, I’ve started to remember. I felt cut off……no doubt, in many ways.
..u, ugh…! Nothing has changed, if I can say so myself. Whether it’s now or back then. For me, even if I’ve acted aloof, it’s not that I wanted to stand out but somewhere along the way, it (the attention) gets out of the line and that’s why I’m noticeable. That is all……and yet, a King? Good grief…..the people are saying whatever they want.
I’m not a King or anything . I’m just a brat who doesn’t even know what he wants to do.
- Mutsuki Hajime, Hyourin Shiki OP Mini-Drama
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Hyourin_Shiki_(OP_Mini-drama)
Hajime’s past life as the legendary King Odysseus could have been why he felt cut off from everyone else. Although Odysseus was a legendary King, he didn’t intend to be.
In fact, he hadn’t even wanted to participate in the Trojan War because he didn’t want to be away from his home. It was to the extent that he pretended to be insane to avoid fighting in the war. Yet he ended up exhibiting his genius in finding the necessary ways to win the Trojan War and getting back home after that.
And perhaps Hajime doesn’t like being called a King because he felt he failed to protect his men’s lives as their King despite doing his best to keep them safe.
Because in the end he, Odysseus, was the only one who survived their journey home - hence the Odyssey.
Odysseus returned home alone on his black ship as the sole survivor, hence Hajime is the Black King.
It’s during this time he was involved in a series of adventures and faced many obstacles as he struggled to return home to his wife and son.
Odysseus’s wife was Penelope, a woman whose intelligence matched his. She remained dedicated to her husband for 20 years, and used her intelligence to keep all the suitors away.
Penelope is most likely Yuki, according to her songs of still loving him (in a reincarnation after their Greek life probably) Hajime and Yuki have been said to give off a royal sort of aura when they’re together that makes other people find it hard to approach them.
Though Hajime doesn’t seem to have any romantic interest in her in their idol life. But Odysseus wanted to return home to his wife and son.
However, Odysseus during his time away from his homeland - encountered someone he stayed with and became lovers with for a year.
  Lastly, Hajime means ‘Beginning’.
It’s likely he was Odysseus as Odysseus began everything with how he won the Trojan War and the journey home (the Odyssey).
Tsukiuta could be an alternate account of the Odyssey, where the characters took different paths -
- particularly a character that has powerful connections with the Underworld.
  Shun: Circe
His given name, Shun (隼), literally translates to "falcon".
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Shimotsuki_Shun
Shun’s name has been a bit of a mystery, just like him.
While the others have names that fit their personalities and roles, Beginning for Hajime, Spring for Haru, Ocean for Kai, the meaning of Shun’s name is obscure.
Yet, there is someone in Greek mythology who possesses the exact same meaning of their name as Shun.
Circe has often been linked to the death-birds known as "kirkos." Those birds are actually falcons, who circle their prey before they finally dive in for the kill; which is, in reality, an excellent way of describing Circe, since she encircled her human prey within her island home, and then used her magick to enchant them. A falcon’s cry sounds something similar to "circ-circ," and many have considered this sound to be the magical cry of Circe, whenever she was beginning one of her acts of creation or destruction.
Let us begin with her name. Circe (Kirke) is the feminine form of kirkos, meaning falcon or hawk. Kirkos also has a secondary meaning – circle – perhaps originally suggested by the wheeling flight of hawks.
The sea-nymph, daughter of Helios and Perse, and the granddaughter of Ocean. (Kirke or Circe means a small falcon)
Like Shun, the meaning of her name is ‘falcon’.
Circe was a powerful enchantress and witch-goddess. She had connections with the Underworld like Shun. And was whimsical like him.
She also isolated herself in her island like Shun isolated himself in middle school
My name is Shimotsuki Shun, I’m a third year high school student, born in Kyoto and I’m everywhere. That’s what you think. Unfortunately, I’m the type who treats people like each other. Even if the best friends comes to me and says “ Why?” so is it just a joke to me. I’m accepting that it’s like this lately.
Ehehe! To me, so is everyone really interesting. This world where a lot of people were born. People, people, there is a big amount of people, bond grows between them. That makes this world so different. In the middle of that world so are accidents happening, a refreshing story is born and a unbelievable miracle happens.
- Shimotsuki Shun, Icicle OP Mini-drama
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Icicle_(OP_Mini-drama)
What explains Circe quite well, is the fact that she was "whole unto herself, and alone but never lonely."
http://www.angelfire.com/journal/ofapoet/circe.html
Shun, like Circe, was not lonely despite being alone. He enjoyed watching people and treating people equally without having any friends.
In the Odyssey, Circe met Odysseus when they came upon her island. She invited his men into her palace and turned his men into pigs.
When Odysseus heard about it from a man who escaped, he resolved to go rescue his men. Hermes came and gave him the moly, a flower that would help him resist Circe’s magic.
Circe, being attracted to Odysseus' resistance, falls in love with him and releases his men. Odysseus and his crew remain with her on the island for one year, while they feast and drink. Finally, Odysseus' men convince him to leave for Ithaca.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odysseus
When Circe struck Odysseus with her magic, he caught her by surprise by holding a sword to her neck. She fell in love with him at his resistance and bade him to bed.
Here is a short passage.
So she spoke, but I drew the keen sword from beside my thigh, rushed at her and made as if to kill her. She shrieked, she slipped underneath my weapon, she clasped my knees and spoke in rapid appealing words: ‘Who are you, and from where? Where are your city and your parents? It bewilders me that you drank this drug and were not bewitched. Never has any other man resisted this drug, once he had drunk it and let it pass his lips. But you have an inner will that is proof against sorcery. You must surely be that man of wide-ranging spirit, Odysseus himself; the Radiant One of the golden wand [Hermes] has told me of you; he always said that Odysseus would come to me on his way from Troy in his dark and rapid vessel. But enough of this; sheathe your sword; then let us go to bed together, and embracing there, let us learn to trust in one another.’ So she spoke, but I answered her : ‘Kirke, how can you ask me to show you gentleness? In this very house you have turned my comrades into swine, and now that you have me also here you ask me in your treacherousness to enter your room and lie with you, only that when I lie naked you may rob me of courage and of manhood. Never, goddess, could I bring myself to lie with you unless you consented first to swear a great oath to plot no mischief to me henceforward.’
The water warmed; and when it boiled in the bright bronze vessel, the goddess made me sit in a bath and bathed me with water from the cauldron, tampering hot and cold to my mind and pouring it over my head and shoulders until she had banished from my limbs the weariness that had sapped my spirit. And having washed me and richly appointed me with oil, she dressed me in a fine cloak and tunic, led me forward and gave me a tall silver-studded chair to sit on--handsome and cunningly made--with a stool beneath it for the feet. She bade me eat, but my heart was not on eating, and I sat with my thoughts elsewhere and my mind unquiet.
When Kirke saw me sitting thus, not reaching for food but sunk in despondency, she came and stood near me, quickly questioning : ‘Odysseus, why do you sit there tongue-tied eating your heart out, not touching food or drink? Can it be that you fear some further treachery? You should have no doubts; I have sworn the great oath already.' So she spoke, but I answered her : `Kirke, what man of righteous thoughts could bring himself to taste food or drink before winning liberty for his friends and seeing the men before his eyes? If it is in earnest that you tell me to eat and drink, release them now, and let me see my trusty companions face to face.’ So I spoke, and Kirke went through the hall and out, wand in hand; she flung open the doors of the sty and set the men running out in the shape of fat and full-grown swine. Then they stood facing her, and she went to and fro among them, anointing them one by one with another charm. Their limbs began to shed the bristles that Kirke's poison had planted on them, and they became men again, but younger than they had been before, and taller and handsomer to the eye. They knew me at once, and man after man they clasped my hand. A melting mood stole upon them all, and they sobbed aloud till the house re-echoed dolefully. Kirke herself felt compassion; then she came up and said to me : ‘Son of Laertes, subtle Odysseus, now go back to your rapid vessel by the beach. First, with your men, haul the ship ashore; then fetch out all your gear and goods and stow them inside the caves; then return yourself and bring your trusty companions with you.
http://www.theoi.com/Titan/Kirke.html
As you can see, Circe was impressed by Odysseus beating her (in a battle of wits?) just like Shun was impressed at Hajime beating him in academics.
“Who?”, you say? No way, sensei! Mutsuki, it’s Mutsuki. The only one nationwide that can put his name in front of mine. I thought he would spend all his time studying but debuting as an idol was unexpected. Don’t you think it’s interesting! This is so interesting that you just can’t imagine it! Hehe. Mutsuki Hajime, to think his name would come all the way here.
Even if they made a contract it would sure be something special. That’s how you make a deal. Hmm, He has really gooood eyes.
I just get more and more interested in him.
And after that wanted to become close to Hajime.
Yes, everyday I’m spending here now is really fun. Ever since I came to the dorm, my dream came true - making a bond with Hajime, Mutsuki Hajime became reality and I got to meet the members of the unit.
Despite being a goddess, Circe was unusually subservient to Odysseus. She listened to what he said, was concerned over him. She dressed him up like a King - her King, treated him he was her King, and brought him to sit on a ‘tall silver-studded chair’. Which kind of reminds me of this lol
Offered his lap for Hajime to sit on during November’s Tsukino Party, but of course, it goes without saying that Hajime turned it down without any hesitation
http://tsukineta.tumblr.com/post/131546463069/shimotsuki-shun-13
She did anything he asked so he could feel better.
This reflects Shun with Hajime. He’s powerful and is a young master and popular idol himself. And he doesn’t listen to anyone but Hajime.
The guy who has called himself God and Lucifer is willing to be of service to Hajime, and is proud of being Hajime’s fan.
In fact, in TsukiPARA, there was a scene where Shun told Hajime if it’s for his beloved Hajime he can cook a full course French meal, coming from the guy who woke Kai up to cook instant yakisoba for him in the middle of the night. Interestingly, Shun was cooking at that time and when Hajime sat down to try his cooking - he said for Shun to have a bite first (in case it’s poisoned?)
Shun: Will you have dinner? Will you take a bath? Or will you take~…
Hajime: Dinner.
Shun: That was fast, how mean!… But I like that cool side of Hajime! I love it!
Hajime: …Aa. And just in case, would you have some bites first?
Shun: That’s nice, that wariness! I don’t hate that!
Hajime: You really don’t back down.
http://zephyrsus.tumblr.com/post/161897780696/shiroekoyuki-zephyrsus-mik4nsei-aaand
She ushered me in and gave me a tall silver-studded chair to sit in--handsome and cunningly made it was--with a stool beneath it for the feet. In a golden goblet she brewed a potion for me to drink, and treacherously mingled her drug with it.
This also reflects Odysseus with Circe who enchanted the food and drink for Odysseus and his men.
As seen from the passage above, Circe also went down on her knees before Odysseus despite being a goddess and him being a human, which could parallel how Shun was ready to do a dogeza (bowing with head to the floor) as his last resort for Hajime’s forgiveness in their twitter fight, despite being the mighty Demon Lord.
In the meantime inside her palace Kirke had bathed the others hospitably, had richly anointed them with oil and had clothed them in tunics and fleecy cloaks; we found them dining in the hall, every man of them. When the two groups spied each other--when the men looked each other in the face--they began to weep and make lamentation till the house around them echoed with it.
But the goddess came up and said to me : ‘Son of Laertes, subtle Odysseus, you must all give over these loud lamentations you are making. I myself well know what tribulations you have endured on the teeming sea and what injustices you have borne from barbarous men on land. But enough! Eat your food and drink your wine till you have regained the same spirit that you had when you first set sail from your own country, rocky Ithaka. You are listless now, you are spiritless, brooding for ever and for ever on the calamities of your wanderings. Your hearts are never disposed to mirth, because you have suffered all too much.’
Such were her words, and our hearts accepted them.
Just like Circe, Shun cheered Hajime up in Episode 11 where he was stuck in his brooding, (ironically of already having achieved his dream).
Hajime was brooding about his future, about what it would be if he had already achieved his dream.
And Shun brought him out of his sense of ennui, just like Circe did for Odysseus.

- Shimotsuki Shun, Monochrome Sky
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Monochrome_sky_(song)
Shun’s love for Hajime that seems unrequited would make sense if he was Circe in his original life.
Odysseus left Circe to return to his home and wife and son, and Circe allowed him to, not wanting him to stay with her unwillingly.
Shun’s passion and love which he constantly declares for Hajime also fits how Circe fell in love with Odysseus. Circe fell in love with Odysseus because he was able to resist her magic, which would explain why Shun is not deterred by Hajime’s resistance towards his amorous words but gets even more passionate and excited, saying how precious Hajime is.
And of course this -
隼「ちなみに、僕の永遠のヒロインは、はじ ゲナーウ(規制音)
陽「ぜってー言うと思った!言わせねーからな」
https://twitter.com/tsukiuta1/status/794698025746599936
Shun [By the way, my eternal heroine is Haji - gena-u (censored)
You [I knew you were definitely going to say that! I’m not going to let you say that]
(my translation, alternate translation here. Yes it’s so significant that Shun called Hajime his eternal heroine that I needed to see the original and post it here. Because he said it in the promotion for Tsukitomo when You complained about there being no heroine, clearly he doesn’t give a damn about heroines or lack thereof for Tsukiuta’s thankfully not otome game. Because he’s the anti-hero - uh anti-heroine lol.)
Shun has also called Hajime his eternal heroine (or at least clearly attempted to), and Odysseus was Circe’s hero. And if Shun did something to make them end up in the cycle of reincarnation, then Hajime would indeed be his ‘eternal hero(ine)’ - the only person he would love and be dedicated to throughout their reincarnated lives.
Not only is Shun’s love for Hajime like Circe’s love for Odysseus, Shun shares characteristics and powers with Circe.
As mentioned before, Circe has connections to the Underworld like Shun. She told Odysseus how to get to the Underworld safely where he would have to consult the prophet Tiresias. Shun treats the Underworld like a vacation place, as if he’s been there numerous times before.
In Homer's Odyssey, Circe is described as living in a mansion that stands in the middle of a clearing in a dense wood. Around the house prowled strangely docile lions and wolves, the drugged victims of her sorcery;[3] they were not dangerous, and fawned on all newcomers.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circe
Not only that, Circe can not only turn people into animals, but she’s surrounded by animals such as lions and wolves (Kai and Hajime?) and can communicate with them (they are tamed and friendly). This parallels Shun and his ability to communicate with animals and creatures such as Diablo (who could possibly be Cereberus), Magellan and the big octopus in TsukiPARA’s summer event.
Circe’s wild animals were tamed and friendly, and Shun says beasts are not scary. For example, Shun said Jormugand (the World Serpent) is dangerous when Yoru wanted it (wtf Yoru and he still wants and is waiting for it), but he also said Jormugand is cute and it’s because his love is overflowing. Shun has also gotten Iku an Underworld Panda (and asked Yoru if he wanted a pet too when Yoru seemed envious of You and his Underworld penguin Magellan, and Yoru said he wanted Jormugand) And Diablo sounds scary with a monster’s roar but Shun treats the mysterious creature like it’s a normal thing.
Shun is the reason of mysterious events and happenings, and could be the reason why they have so many animals in the dorm.
Perhaps because they are attracted to his presence and magic as Circe the Beast Mistress.
Scarcely had she ended her words when Eos the Dawn appeared in her flower cloth of gold. Kirke gave me my tunic and cloak to wear; she herself put on a big silvery mantle, graceful and delicate
Even his clothing parallels hers
Tumblr media
Look at that big silvery mantle.
And of course Tsubaki who is said to be the same individual as Shun is known as the White Witch. And Circe was a witch-goddess.
Shun himself has displayed witch-like characteristics, such as when he was drawing the question out in the Drama CD.
Shun: *chuckles* You don’t need to do that everyone. There’s no need for such precautions, it’s only just a scrap of paper, isn’t it? Now then… Wishy, washy, wishy, washy…
Kai: Ahh… Shun, what are you stirring it for? Is this the cauldron of hell?
Iku: A- a black cloud is appearing on top of the box!?!
Shun: Round and round… and round in circles… *chuckles*
You: Ah, this is no good, the door to the devil king is open. What has he got!
Yoru: Ahh… just as I thought…
Shun: *maniacal laughter* Stupid humans, using your useless ears and tongues to perceive! Tonight, when we finally awaken to the truth, it will finally come… What liberation requires are an innumerable amount of contracts! So awaken! Now is the time!! *takes out* The words to sign the contract are……!!! …Hm? Your treasure? Treasure… It’s asking what my treasure is…
Shun: It has to be that! Six Gravity’s leader, Mutsuki Hajime’s fanclub’s number six member, what is known as the platinum card of the fanclub! This card! This brilliant shine~ It practically dazzles you~
You: Ah, this time it’s another one of his insignificantly terrible things, we’ve opened the door to his Hajime-fanaticism.
Shun: Normally I hear people say this is really elegant, you don’t say! Of course it’s elegant! If it wasn’t elegant, it would be impossible for you to just go and run to the supermarket to receive one!!  *:・゚✧ L. O. V. E. Hajime love~~! *:・゚✧ .
 http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Gokigen-you_Maou-sama_%E2%99%AA-hen
It’s like a witch stirring a cauldron, isn’t it?
(By the way another meaning of Circe is "to secure with rings" or "hoop around"--a reference to the binding power of magic. And Shun stirred it round and round in circles)
Of course he ended up reverting to his Hajime-LOVE lol. Well Circe abandoned her evil ways when she fell in love with Odysseus.
Circe was a very powerful Goddess and Sorceress. Not only did she have strong connections with the Underworld, and the ability to turn men into animals, but she also had the ability to see into the future. More importantly, for Odysseus, was the fact that Circe also had an intimate knowledge of Hades, which made it possible for her to advise him how to enter and leave the Underworld in safety. She actually went so far as to give Odysseus the sheep that he needed to give as an offering to Hades, and then she advised him how to complete the rest of his journey in safety.
When it came to Odysseus, Circe became a completely different kind of Goddess, minus any of the treacherous characteristics for which she was so well known. She even allowed Odysseus to leave her, to return to his wife, even though she loved him, quite deeply, herself.
This story gives the reader a glimpse of Circe in a totally new and different light. Through her relationship with Odysseus, we are able to see what a complex and autonomous Goddess Circe was. What explains Circe quite well, is the fact that she was "whole unto herself, and alone but never lonely." The way that Circe’s behavior changed when she met Odysseus, shows us what the power of love can do.
The ability to see into the future is reflected in how Circe told Odysseus he would have to consult the blind prophet Tiresias in the Underworld. So she could see the future - could see what he had to do.
For Shun, this can be exemplified in his mysterious sayings and his amused and calm composure as if he always knows what’s happening or going to happen. The most recent example I can think of is in Tsukitomo, where the pictures flew away. While everyone was surprised and trying to get them back, Shun just stood watching with a knowing smile on his face.

Shun is the only one not surprised when the pictures (including his) fly away.
Kai comments how he can be calm even in such an unexpected and surprising event. Shun responds that it’s exactly because it’s such an unexpected event that he has to stay calm. While he looks like he planned it, it could be possible that with his ability of foresight he just foresaw it.
One of his abilities listed in the wiki is clairvoyance - or foresight.
Tumblr media
Just like Circe.
Circe was a very powerful Goddess and Sorceress. Not only did she have strong connections with the Underworld, and the ability to turn men into animals, but she also had the ability to see into the future
Shun also has the ability to create a wind out of nowhere as you can see above. Not just a tornado (strong wind) but a light breeze
Shun: Yes, yes, A way for heating up. You’re okay with this wind. (?) *Wind blows* You: Ugh! What is this? A weirdly warm wind is blowing! Under this cold sky so I am honestly thankful. I’m thankful but Shun, exactly what are you? Shun: Hehe. It’s the secretive Shun-san.
Rui:… Father? Shun: Huh? Isn’t the prince’s father the king? If I say king so do I obviously mean Six Gravity’s leader and our king Hajime! Shunderella wants to marry the king! *That warm mysterious wind is blowing*
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Meisaku_Shunderella
Interestingly, as mentioned in the section on Hajime as Odysseus, Circe sent Odysseus’s black ship off with a wind that sustained his journey to the Underworld. Shun (Shunderella) said he (she?) wanted to marry the king (Hajime) and after that the wind blew.
Perhaps paralleling how Circe sent Odysseus’s ship off with a wind and let him leave out of her love for him.
Shun also says lots of mysterious things happen in their world, unexplained phenomena. So it could be the pictures flying away (and the whole calendar thing of personal pictures in the first place) is Tsukino Mikoto’s plan or test.
In her survey of the Transformations of Circe, Judith Yarnall comments of this figure, who started out as a comparatively minor goddess of unclear origin, that
“What we know for certain - what Western literature attests to – is her remarkable staying power…These different versions of Circe’s myth can be seen as mirrors, sometimes clouded and sometimes clear, of the fantasies and assumptions of the cultures that produced them.” After appearing as just one of the characters that Odysseus encounters on his wandering, "Circe herself, in the twists and turns of her story through the centuries, has gone through far more metamorphoses than those she inflicted on Odysseus's companions.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circe_in_popular_culture
So it seems from all the information, Shun is most likely Circe and in fact not the Demon Lord, apparent Ruler of the Underworld who could be likened to Hades, whose domain was the Underworld.
But just because Shun isn’t the real Demon Lord doesn’t mean his significance is reduced. In fact, it’s heightened all the more.
Circe was an even more mysterious figure than Hades. She lived on an island but had connections to the Underworld. Hades, Ruler of the Underworld, the ‘Demon Lord’ was someone everyone knew about.
Circe on the other hand remained mysterious, she was a goddess and a witch but she lived on an island in her palace by herself. Even though she was powerful enough to have connections to the Underworld.
Rather than Hades a famously known figure, Circe’s mystery contributes to her popularity despite being a ‘comparatively minor goddess of unknown origin’
And Shun has been said to be one of the greatest mysteries of the Tsukino dorms.
Shun with his name having the same meaning as Circe’s could be another metamorphosis of her. Like Circe, he is mysterious and unpredictable, he has magic but no one knows where it comes from, he knows the Underworld as a ‘vacation place’, he can talk to animals. His identity as Circe fits him perfectly.
Even if he isn’t the Demon Lord but the Witch-Goddess Circe, Shun still retains his impact as one of those with great power.
And on the storyline.

‘White’ seems to appear in the duet songs of You, Yoru, Koi, Kakeru, Aoi and Arata. It’s likely Shun did something to fate and time or at least was one of the causes to why they were sent in an endless cycle of time.
‘A white wind blows’ – Circe sent Odysseus’s ship off to the Underworld with a wind (just like Shun has the ability to create wind like in Shunderella) ‘blowing through feelings’. ‘In the moonlight with your white dress’ – Circe has been said to have connection with the moon as well, and Venus’s (Aphrodite’s) ring could imply luck with love (for Odysseus). ‘A white fleeting flower’ – the moly which Odysseus used to resist Circe’s magic has a white flower.
Sidetrack to the significance of the moly, ‘a white fleeting flower’
The description of "moly" fits the snowdrop, a flower that contains galantamine, which is an anticholinesterase and can therefore counteract anticholinergics.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circe
In the story, Hermes gave this herb to Odysseus to protect him from Circe's magic when he went to her home to rescue his friends.[2] These friends came together with him from the island Aiolos after they escaped from the Cyclops. "The plant 'moly' of which Homer speaks; this plant, it is said, had grown from the blood of the Giant Picolous killed in the isle of Kirke; it has a white flower; the ally of Kirke who killed Picolous was Helios (the Sun); the combat was hard (Greek malos) from which came the name of this plant".[3] Homer also describes Moly by saying "The root was black, while the flower was as white as milk; the gods call it Moly, Dangerous for a mortal man to pluck from the soil, but not for the deathless gods. All lies within their power".[4]

Picking the frozen snowdrop in cold winter, I bring it close to your lips as we nestle close together. Quietly lying on your side, I could hear your peaceful breathing. The lightly pouring snow silently shedding tears―
- Mutsuki Hajime, Mutsubi no Tsuki
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Mutsubi_no_Tsuki
Again, this could either be Yuki or Shun. Snowdrops are flowers which bloom in winter which seem to be referring to Yuki, whose last name Hanazono means ‘flower garden’ and her name means ‘snow’. So as ‘Snow, Flower Garden’, the snowdrop could be referring to her.
But this is what snowdrops look like
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A beautiful green and white.
Tumblr media
Like this guy with white hair and green eyes.
That’s not all. Snowdrops melt the snow around them by producing their own heat.
The bulbs of snowdrops can generate temperatures of 8–10 °C. So the snow melts and the way is clear.
Alright Shun has a permanent body temperature of 20°C so he doesn’t freeze in winter but it’s close enough. He produces his own heat in winter so he doesn’t feel cold, and probably melts the snow (which he produces lol) like a snowdrop.
Time skip to Initium, where snowdrops appear again.
Piling up many words that are just like the drifting clouds, the pathos of forgotten love blurred into the feeble voice The first month, embracing beloved you Fluttering and dancing down snow drops Fluttering, they’re piling in my heart A petal of the gorgeous aster takes you away Fluttering and vanishing away――
Fluttering and dancing down, on the ashen sky The petal’s gorgeousness is shining beautifully Together with the song that marks the beginning――

http://zephyrsus.tumblr.com/post/162999128257/alternate-universe-theory-of-hajimes-songs
Basically, snowdrops are in Hajime’s songs symbolizing Shun which lends more evidence to this theory of Shun being Circe. Since the snowdrop (moly) was what gave Odysseus his resistance against Circe who fell in love with him for being able to resist her sorcery, it could be a symbol of Shun.
Like what started everything in the first place (reincarnation cycle, eventually into their idol lives) was Circe.
But what really was the cause was the snowdrop which Odysseus took to resist her magic.
So Shun’s appearance with his white hair and green eyes (even though in a few versions Circe has green eyes) could be a symbol of that.
As the mysterious witch-Goddess Circe, Shun likely had some hand in their predicament and why they were sent in an endless cycle of time, probably for the sake of his/her love for Hajime/Odysseus.
On Odysseus’s side, Odysseus respected Circe and relied on her for information. He requested to leave (instead of like injuring her and escaping like he did with the cyclops) reminding her of her promise. Circe surprisingly did not only let him go but told him of the next step in his journey and how to get to the Underworld safely.
And after the trip to the Underworld he even came back to ask for directions (despite breaking her heart by leaving, nice Hajime nice) He seemed to see her as an equal, and her intelligence and powers as such that he could consult her on his own fate and the fate of his men.
Similarly, Hajime trusts Shun.
Hajime dislikes doing things halfway and doesn’t like people who play around and aren’t serious. But he respects Shun and consults with him on matters of their idol groups.
Shun should be the type of person Hajime would dislike (see his speech to Six Gravity in Episode 11) but Hajime is only occasionally annoyed by him. In fact, he followed Shun when he said he came to ask him out on a date. And even if he was annoyed at first, he smiled and gradually opened up to Shun about his doubts and worries, something Haru believed even he couldn’t do for Hajime. Hajime trusts Shun in a unique way. And that’s rare for Hajime who thinks he has to handle everything by himself.
(And this isn’t really related but it’s amazing so I have to share it. Considering Hajime’s trust in Shun - in TsukiPARA’s summer event there was a giant octopus and everyone was freaked out. Hajime took it down with Shun. I don’t know if he used his martial arts skills but he clearly said, “Now! Shun!” So he probably subdued it with his physical strength. Shun talked to the octopus and Hajime asked Shun about the king octopus. Shun said to wait and conversed with the octopus. And told it “Oh I see. But don’t do this kind of thing anymore?” (loose translation but basically he was communicating with it) So basically Hajime and Shun worked together to take down the octopus and that is so cool and cute they relied on each other as the leaders. And Hajime trusted Shun.)

http://tsukineta.tumblr.com/post/120501674931/mutsuki-hajime-3
For Odysseus and Circe, his trust in her was unusual. She had turned his men into pigs and attempted to do it to him too, but after she swore the oath (maybe because of that?) and turned them back (which he asked her to) he contentedly stayed with her for a year, not leaving until his men reminded him. He basically trusted a powerful goddess who had been his enemy.
Also speaking about TsukiPARA summer event where Shun and Hajime relied on each other to subdue the octopus, it was on an island.
Just like how Odysseus met Circe on an island.
And the first thing Shun said was that he could enjoy the paradise with Hajime.
So the question is, if Tsukiuta is based off an alternate version of the Odyssey, did Odysseus love Circe back?
It seems Odysseus or Hajime, loved Circe or Shun in later reincarnations (see my Alternate Universe Theory) But since Penelope seems to still be there as Yuki, it’s debatable whether he did love her back in their original lives.
However, the theory is that they all screwed up in Greek mythology and got sent in an endless cycle of time.
Since Hajime means Beginning and he’s the leader along with Shun, it’s possible he started everything.
Perhaps he fell in love with Circe when he was not supposed to.
Maybe Penelope in Tsukiuta’s version of the Odyssey was not his wife but his betrothed. Or simply his love interest. So he did not have the responsibility of a husband and father. And he wanted to return home to her until he met and fell in love with Circe.
Shun of course is not free of blame. He probably did something with magic as Circe to screw things up (see above), which could be why whenever Shun says mysterious things or wants to do something everyone is like ‘SHUN NO’
(They’re literally calling him Circe or Falcon by the way, just in another language)
On reaching the shore, we dragged the vessel down to the glittering sea, and set up mast and sail in our black ship. Then we hauled the sheep aboard, and embarked ourselves, weeping, shedding huge tears.

Maybe since You calls Shun a sheep in this version Circe disguised herself as the sheep to go along with Odysseus? LOL. Circe had transformation magic after all.

So cute.
But we will certainly just like wool become small, unable to be seen Hiding each others feelings within our hearts
Behind our smiles, we were crying Even so, I call out your name
Even if it might be small, unable to be seen
A wish that may not know its way Just like a flower blooms A white fleeting flower
- Awai Hana, Haduki You & Nagatsuki Yoru
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Awai_Hana_(song)
It could be Circe changed fate by disguising herself as the sacrificial sheep to Hades to go along with Odysseus. Because Hades is the real, ‘invisible Demon Lord.’
(Also You is someone whom Circe would cause great trouble for by screwing up fate. The hint is in his name. Maybe that’s why You calls Shun a sheep because as Circe he changed fate by transforming into a sheep to follow Odysseus; Hajime)
Perhaps Shun’s wish to be with Hajime was unable to be seen just like Circe’s small woolly disguise as the sacrificial sheep.
"So every day, till the year's end, we sat there feasting on plenteous meat and delicious wine. When the year was out and the seasons had circled round, then my comrades called me apart and said : ‘Forgetful man, it is time now to call your own land to mind once more, if indeed heaven means you to come safe home to your lofty house and the country of your fathers.’
Odysseus stayed with Circe as her lover for a year.
Tsukiuta is based on the characters of 12 months, or, a year.
Note that Odysseus did not want to leave Circe.
Whether he was in love with her or not, he became her lover for a year.
He gave no thought to home, his wife and his son, enjoying himself at her palace with her company.
He basically had an affair intentionally (he only needed to sleep with her once for the release of his men) since in the original he already was married to Penelope. Circe on the other hand, could have not known that Odysseus was married. But Odysseus knew he was married, and yet he became Circe’s lover for a year.
We can see from Circe’s treatment of Odysseus and letting him go that she would have never wanted Odysseus to do anything he was unwilling to do. She would have not become his lover if he didn’t want it. So Odysseus has responsibility for their relationship which could have led to whatever happened that screwed up fate. Perhaps even more than Circe. Which could be another reason why Hajime feels responsible for everything and why he’s the leader.
With the role the other characters play, it’s possible that something happened in that one year they were together that screwed up fate and sent them in an endless cycle of time.
Hence why Tsukiuta (possibly their last cycle or chance) is based on 12 months or a year.
Because Hajime and Shun are the leaders of Six Gravity and Procellarum.
If Tsukiuta is indeed about an endless cycle of time due to screwing up in Greek mythology -
- which can have harsh consequences, then they should bear the most responsibility.
Because of their actions which changed fate.

Tsukiuta has a sinister story
This is just going to be a summary of the Demon Lord Kai theory and Hajime’s Lover was Shun theory. I won’t quote anything...at least not much.
@aina-akabane and I were just discussing the puzzles pieces and she said if you connect all of them together Tsukiuta seems fucked up.
Let’s just talk about the setting of Tsukiuta a bit though.
A series based on characters of the 12 months of the year.
They were scouted by a mysterious man, Tsukino Mikoto, by finding the rabbit, Shiroda the white rabbit for Procellarum and Kuroda the black rabbit for Six Gravity.
Now isn’t this strange? He took one look at them and decided they could be an idol, no audition, nothing. Just because they found a rabbit which seemed to be there for them to find.
The leader of Six Gravity is Mutsuki Hajime a man who’s like a King and who felt like he never fit in. Though he doesn’t want to be called King, everyone treats him like a King, as if it’s completely natural for them to do so.
The leader of Procellarum is Shimotsuki Shun, a whimsical man who calls himself the Demon Lord, who became an idol just became he heard Hajime became one. He just saw Hajime’s name on top of his in academics, never seen the guy before (he asked Kai what kind of person is he) and decided to leave his posh home of a rich young master to travel to Tokyo when he hadn’t even known how to take a train before.
It’s quite romantic, but it’s not normal. He hadn’t even met Hajime before, only knew his name and that he was the only one who could put his name in front of his. And decided his dream was to form a bond with him.
Hajime and Shun become the leaders of Six Gravity and Procellarum and are known as the Black King and White Demon Lord.
While the Black King is certainly like a King (but doesn’t really want to be one) the White Demon Lord is not like a Demon Lord.
When you think Demon Lord you think evil, the most evil thing Shun has done is laugh evilly before he drew out the card in Procellarum’s radio show before he proudly showed off his Hajime fanclub (No. 6) card. And challenging the prince to a boss fight as Demon Lord in their radio show Shunderella but all because he wanted to marry the king Hajime.
Shun is unpredictable, mysterious, whimsical, but he isn’t evil. He gives good luck to people, encourages Yoru, listens to Kai’s first love story, says he wants to see Hajime shine. He even said he can’t be bitten by mosquitoes because he decided the only thing that can penetrate his skin is love??? Shun what Maou-sama
In fact Shun is more like a princess, even officially as Shunderella. He prefers to not work, he gets Kai to make tea for him, he’s spoilt, but elegant and speaks with a delicate voice, he always speaks about love, he sings about love to the tune of Let it Go from Frozen (”Love is all~”) and got jealous when they were admiring Elsa’s powers and said his attribute is ice too and he could create an ice castle too, he treats the Underworld like some sort of vacation place, Diablo (who probably is really dangerous) like some cute pet, uses his powers as the Demon Lord for good and to help people. It’s like he has the powers and unlimited magic power of a Demon Lord but his demeanor is like a kind princess??
Like something is off here lol. Shun isn’t evil like a Demon Lord. He’s like a loving princess with the powers of the Demon Lord and so used them for good.
He’s mysterious and unpredictable but not malevolent. His antics are all because he’s bored and all in fun. He likes to take his clothes off because he doesn’t like the feeling of clothes sticking to his body but other than the ‘enlightenment’ he gave to photographers it’s all in harmless fun.
And then we have Kai the guy who is too nice who says he wants everyone to rely on him, who has a first love story where she died due to illness and he decided to do everything she couldn’t do and so became an idol. The perfect big brother, father, husband...
Who has a song out of nowhere called Beast Master where he sings about having a beast which hides inside the chest of the older brother and how he gets jealous when their gaze always strays and once he captures them, he will never let them go. And says if the person wants to tame the beast (him), to make him wear their collar. The person who is the princess of the beast master.
There’s only one person who wears anything around their neck. It’s not Mizuki, whose songs complement Kai’s but not completely.
It’s Shun.
Shun wears a choker given by his producer Kikuo as a musical instrument and to seal his power.
Kai told his princess that if she wants to tame him, to make him wear her collar.
If Shun is his princess (he treats Shun like a princess anyway, taking care of him, serving him tea) that could imply Kai is the real Demon Lord and he gave his powers to Shun.
Kai even quotes Shun in his baton pass.
☆It’s July starting today!☆ Rui「It’s the Beast Master’s month starting today」 Kai「Come here~ Come here~ Young Lady~」
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=336999910070260&id=245522309218021
The baton pass is supposed to be from the lyrics of their song.
This is not from the lyrics of Beast Master. It’s from the lyrics of Shun’s song.
海「おいで~、おいで~、お嬢~」
Kai「Come here~ Come here~ Young Lady~」
https://twitter.com/tsukiuta1/status/881159284070809600
さあおいで、おいで… 欲しい、欲しい… かわいい かわいい お嬢さん
“Come now, come, come… I want you, I want you… You cute, cute young lady
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Maou_(-KIKUO_MIX_Ver.-)
Shun’s Maou (Demon Lord) song.
Beast Master never talked about a girl or young lady. Only a princess. ‘Young lady’ is from Shun’s Maou song, where the quotation marks seems as if he’s quoting someone else.
Kai said that to Shiroda, and Shiroda ran away from him to Rui, as if she could sense Kai was more evil than he seemed? Especially with that line.
Just like how Kuroda runs away from Haru. So the too nice Holy Mother Haru could be someone malevolent as well, especially with this picture
Tumblr media
He looks as if he was in cahoots with Demon Lord Kai.
Kai has black wings here and in Japanese folklore is like a tengu but Lucifer (what Shun said his other name was) also has black wings like a fallen angel.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satan
So that is a summary of Kai as the real Demon Lord theory.
Besides them, we have characters who have these strange quirks. Iku can charm anyone even a guy, Kakeru has eternal bad luck, Rui has a perfect ear for music, Koi’s sister Ai is a goddess candidate and he thinks he’s ordinary for some reason, You is son of a temple and his talismans even can stop Shun and his bad feelings (premonitions) are always right, Yoru can access other dimensions in his dreams... The reason why I said it has a sinister story is because not only is the setting kind of off and the Demon Lord not really evil, there are repeated themes throughout the songs. Labryinth, Wheel, Time, Dream, Flower, etc. Hajime’s Hyourin Shiki sings about how he bore a curse and it’s the wheel of suffering. Everyone’s songs, except Shun’s, has some kind of dark theme. Kakeru and Koi sing about the ‘worthless reality’ in their duet song, Innoceia. Yoru sings about how he sees the same people over and over again. Iku sings about ‘cruel tests’. Rui sings about how he hates the world and how ‘it can’t be saved, this cruel world’
Gravity is about the story moving on and the time can’t be repeated. GRAVITIC-LOVE tells about a labryinth where they want to disappear, ‘just the two of us’, probably referring to Hajime and Shun since they also sing about the noble form on the water surface, reflecting Hyourin Shiki, Hajime’s song. Procellarum’s ONE CHANCE is about the end of the world and walking alone in darkness. LOLV is about saying goodbye and pushing forward...forever.
It could be that they’re in an endless cycle of time and have to repeat it until they get it right, their memories sealed away by Kai the Demon Lord.
The next roulette that began to spin can’t return anymore Let’s moving on.
- Gravity, Six Gravity

Drifting and vanishing Swallowed by the era
- Tsuki no Uta, Procellarum and Six Gravity
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Tsuki_no_Uta
Tsukiuta has no heroine despite being an idol series It’s my theory that Shun is the secret heroine. @aina-akabane and I discussed and there are probably mythology elements and the characters are probably characters from various mythology.
Hajime was probably a real King, the Black King. Shun was his lover, but he - she wasn’t the Demon Lord. She was a Yuki Onna (Snow Woman) whom Hajime fell in love with. Haru represents spring. He could either have been Hajime’s best male friend whom was in unrequited love with him, or Persephone, Hades’ wife, only Haru probably fell in love with Hajime and Kai fell in love with Shun and they conspired to get their respective loves. Even Haru’s little sister said he looked like the guy who would betray everyone in his Tsukino Empire design, and Kuroda was afraid of Haru, as he could be hiding something dark behind his glasses. Haru is dressed like a Yuki Onna in the picture because Haru wanted to be like Shun, because he/she loved Hajime who loved the Yuki Onna Shun was.
Kakeru and Arata are angels from here
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=341662036270714&id=245522309218021
Which makes it even more likely Kai was the Demon Lord aka Lucifer the Archangel who turned into Satan/Hades when he Fell (Shun said his other name is Lucifer) Kakeru probably did something to earn his eternal bad luck. Judging from what Kai called Arata, ‘Aratael’, he was either Michael or Raphael.
I have no idea what Koi is, but he could be another angel perhaps since he sang with Kakeru about not being beautiful anymore and their worthless reality. And he sang about ‘the approaching judgement day, a flag I don’t want to discover’
Yoru is someone who can cross dimensions and time (See his Drama CD for Yuuyake Days and his song Kaze no Record). Probably a demon. He sings about someone who didn’t seem to return his love. That person is probably You, who could have been a priest and so couldn’t be together with Yoru. You having been a priest could be why he loves girls so much because he couldn’t be with girls as a holy man. Yoru could have still been a guy unlike Shun (and maybe Haru) because his love for You seemed unrequited.
Yoru also wants Jörmungandr
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=349246598845591&id=245522309218021
The World Serpent (Yoru seriously?)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%B6rmungandr
That scary thing can cause Ragnorok aka the end of the world Yoru, you’re scary. Are you Thor, Yoru? Who fished the World Serpent?
Orrr Yoru could have been a ghost which is why he can travel dimensions and time. And doesn’t like taking photographs. And if You is a priest....more tragic than Romeo and Juliet. After all, Yoru means Night so it would make sense if he was a ghost, and he sings about drifting in his songs.
Aoi could have been a human and Arata was his guardian angel, or an angel. Aoi and Yoru probably knew each other in all those times.
Iku is most likely Orpheus, because he sings about his head still attached to his body.
Shake off the bitter memories Don’t be separated from your head that clings on (to your body) Depict your thoughts from your childhood In order for the state of the dream to not end
- Kannaduki Iku, RUN BOY RUN
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/RUN_BOY_RUN_(song)
His head and lyre, still singing mournful songs, floated down the swift Hebrus to the Mediterranean shore.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orpheus
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Are_you_ready!%3F
And if you see the link, the original song title was Orpheus in the Underworld.
Orpheus was the musician who could charm anyone and anything with his music. He even managed to calm Cerberus
In another version, Orpheus played his lyre to put Cerberus, the guardian of Hades, to sleep, after which Eurydice was allowed to return with Orpheus to the world of the living.
Similar to how Iku calmed Diablo
Kai: The person himself is fine with it so it’s okay. Anyway, first I’ll put this Diablo into this box.
You: Hm… I’ve been having this bad premonition for some time now, but first of all we should seal this up with tape- Uwaaa!!!!
Yoru: *screams* It - it- it move!!! Iku!!!
Iku: Ehh?! Me?? Ah, u- um… D- Diablo!!! STOP!
Kai/Rui: Ohhhh~
Yoru: It… it stopped…
You: Dog? It’s a dog?? Diablo is a dog?!?!
Iku: Ah… well, it seems like Diablo has calmed down for the time being…
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Gokigen-you_Maou-sama_%E2%99%AA-hen
So Diablo is likely Cerberus, Hades’ pet and the three headed dog of the Underworld. And since Kai just took Diablo from Shun and put him in a box (wtf Kai as expected of the real Demon Lord) Kai seems to be Diablo’s real master aka the Demon Lord.
And Rui - I’m not sure but since he has a perfect ear for music he could have been Eurydice, Orpheus’s wife whom he ventured to the Underworld to get.
That’s all I have for now lol. Anyway if Shun was a girl aka the demon Yuki Onna maybe he’s now a guy because it was a punishment of some sort by a god, orchestrated by the Demon Lord and/or Haru? So that Hajime wouldn’t fall in love with him.
By the time the heat dissolves With an unfriendly attitude Everything will be destroyed
- CELESTITE, Shimotsuki Shun & Fuduki Kai
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Celestite_(song)
It’s our theory that once Kai realizes he’s the real Demon Lord everything will change. Shun will give him an unfriendly attitude (maybe he lost his powers?)
Even if one day this voice will be reduced to ashes We won't let you feel lonely Putting our thoughts in it, stronger than anyone else; come on The Song of the Moon
- Tsuki no Uta, Procellarum and Six Gravity
http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Tsuki_no_Uta
And the real story behind Tsukiuta will be revealed.

OMG HAJISHUN DEMON HAJISHUN
MY FELLOW HAJISHUN COMRADES
@kirakirafairyprincess @six-gravity-procellarum @judaiteitoreokou @shiroekoyuki and @aina-akabane BECAUSE YOU REBLOGGED MY HAJISHUN SYMBOLISM ANALYSIS AND I SAW FROM YOUR TAG IT’S THE SECOND TIME AND I’M SO HONORED I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY I HOPE YOU DON’T MIND BEING TAGGED IT’S MY WAY OF SHOWING MY APPRECIATION!
I AM BACK
I WAS TRYING TO HARDSUB MY MONOCHROME SKY AMV
BUT IT WAS A FUCKING TEDIOUS PROCESS SO I WENT TO TSUKIUTA FACEBOOK
AND I FOUND THIS
Tumblr media
(Source: https://www.facebook.com/Tsukiuta.series/photos/a.876878715735896.1073741828.874342925989475/1412166178873811/?type=3&theater)
HAJIME AND SHUN FOX DEMON FORM AND THEY LOOK LIKE THEY’RE GOING TO KISS!!!!!!!!!!
I’M SORRY I CAN’T CONTROL MY EXCITEMENT I CAN’T CONTROL MY HEART I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS PICTURE IS REAL
LOOK AT THEIR PINKY FINGER.
THEY HAVE MATCHING RINGS!!!!
The left ring finger you already know about, so next is the right ring finger. A ring on this finger has the power to calm us down. Finally, the left pinky finger brings us a chance to meet with a wonderful love, while the right ring finger is said to allow us to express ourselves.
Rings for the little fingers of either hand are called pinky rings, but the left pinky ring stands not only for meeting your loved one, but also for deepening a bond between lovers, and is even useful for when you want a wish of any kind granted, even when unrelated to love.
HERE’S ANOTHER SOURCE
[Wearing a pair ring on] the pinky finger symbolizes ‘chance’ or ‘secrets.’ For example, it is usually worn to calm the heart in case of unforeseen changes. It also symbolizes a protection of love and holds power to fulfill your wishes. The pair ring can be a symbol of a love that will start for the two of them,
Wearing the pair ring on your left fingers means that you want your wishes to come true and the left pinky is the best finger to protect it. It can also help aid you when you are looking for a lover or to protect you from dissatisfaction with your present condition.
SO BASICALLY HAJISHUN LOVE!
...Alright. I’m calm....
Ok so the pinky finger is also important because of pinky promises
Pinky swearing presumably started in Japan, where it is called yubikiri (指切り, "finger cut-off") and often additionally confirmed with the vow "Finger cut-off, ten thousand fist-punchings, whoever lies has to swallow thousand needles." (指切拳万、嘘ついたら針千本呑ます "Yubikiri genman, uso tsuitara hari senbon nomasu").[2] The gesture may be connected to the Japanese belief that soulmates are connected by a red string of fate attached to each of their pinkies.
and the red string of fate
The Red String of Fate (simplified Chinese: 姻缘红线; traditional Chinese: 姻緣紅線; pinyin: Yīnyuán hóngxiàn), also referred to as the Red String of Marriage, and other variants, is an East Asian belief originating from Chinese legend.According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red cord around the ankles of those that are destined to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. Often, in Japanese and Korean culture, it is thought to be tied around the little finger
The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. This myth is similar to the Western concept of soulmate or a destined flame.
And guess where do pinky promises appear?
The continuously forgotten pinkie promises, are the traces of a dream, in the crossing flower language
It slowly sways, it wavers, the beginning of spring rushing to awaken love, we are the opposite, waiting impatiently in the wind
- Mutsuki Hajime & Yayoi Haru, Hajimaru no Haru
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Hajimari_no_Haru_(song))
In Hajime’s (and Haru’s) song.
So I theorized in my HajiShun alternate universe theory that in this song he’s singing to Yuki because she sings about pinky promises as well -
But what if he’s singing to Shun???
The moon flinches, at the time of the six flowers. Your freezing visage, choked in tears. You whisper, swaying the water’s edge. The faint face image, I reach out my hand while crawling. The pain in my heart froze like ice and fades away.
In order to hold you in my arms, this arm twines itself around itself in everlasting darkness.
Beside the confusing request, a dark laugh. In the vanishing abyss, a fragile voice “In order to meet you again.” ―Do you have the resolution to carry the curse on your shoulders?― The tears of blood that follow your cheek and possibly the grieving matter as well. The dark reality, screams after death and disappears in the snow. The dark laughter. The end of influence for the fellow demons way.
- Mutsuki Hajime, Hyourin Shiki
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Hyourin_Shiki_(song))
We have demons here which is even more implication that Hajime’s lover was Shun, who’s the Demon Lord.
Perhaps Shun was a demon and so their love was forbidden, and Hajime was cursed as a result which is why he had to disappear. Or perhaps Shun was a human who made a contract with a demon to see Hajime again and they both had to pay the price. But since it says ‘fellow demons’ it seems more likely Shun was a demon and so his and Hajime’s love was forbidden. Or Hajime is the demon since it says Purple Moon Demon…but Shun is the Demon Lord.
We also have the crying person again, and the pain in Hajime’s heart ‘froze like ice and fades away’ when they whispered. Ice is Shun’s element.
’In order to hold you in my arms’ ‘vanishing abyss’ ‘reach out my hand while crawling’ it seems something or someone took Shun away from Hajime.
As I said in the other theory it seemed it was something to do with demons that Shun was taken away from Hajime.
And Hajime disappeared because he did something to hold Shun in his arms again.
So I know it’s just a picture (no, it isn’t just a picture butterflyandcamelliatheoryanyone?)
Anyway what if the alternate universe theory has some truth and Hajime and Shun were lovers in some alternate universe and so ‘The continuously forgotten pinkie promises, are the traces of a dream, in the crossing flower language’ is alluding to that - the red string of fate? Like dream - of another life in another universe, and Hajime forgot their pinky promises because he forgot they were tied by the red string of fate (maybe his punishment for the curse he bore for Shun’s sake). Shun remembers, which is why he so easily loves Hajime, even if his love is unrequited.
‘[Wearing a pair ring on] the pinky finger symbolizes ‘chance’ or ‘secrets.’ - I know this is just from one source but it’s so coincidental and could be alluding to that, to their secret of having been lovers in an alternate universe. After all Tsukiuta has supernatural elements and so an alternate universe theory wouldn’t be so farfetched when we already have Shun as the Demon Lord and the goddesses of the moon.
(@kirakirafairyprincess to you who read The End and The Beginning, I just have to say that omg FIRE and WIND elements are near Shun - You and Rui - his Royal Advisor and Royal Magician! I’m so excited that my story somehow coincides with official art lol! And Shun is wearing white with purple designs - reminds me of how he wanted to change his bedroom’s color scheme to purple and silver xDDD. Ok Shun isn’t a fox demon in there and neither is Hajime but yeah so cute lol and as you said PINKY PROMISES WITH OU-SAMA YES IT’S CANON)
So who took Shun away?
Well you know what they say, the most friendly ones are the ones to be most suspicious of.....(Haru was joked to have a suspicious appearance lol and even his little sister said he looked like the guy who would betray everyone in his Tsukino Empire design)
This is just a theory, but it could be Kai.
We know Kai is more than the caring older brother from his song Beast Master. And if you look in the picture above, the element of water in a bubble is the only element over Shun. (It looks like it could be ice, but it’s in swirls and looks like it’s in a bluish transparent liquid form - water)
And from Hyourin Shiki -
You whisper, swaying the water’s edge. The faint face image, I reach out my hand while crawling. The pain in my heart froze like ice and fades away.
In order to hold you in my arms, this arm twines itself around itself in everlasting darkness.
Beside the confusing request, a dark laugh.
(By the way the project is called ‘Night Parade of a Hundred Demons’. So yeah. Demons.)
We know ‘froze like ice’ is referring to Shun because his element is ice.
But ‘you whisper, swaying the water’s edge’. The water’s edge. Shun always says Kai is like the ocean. Basically, water. I assume this means Shun, or his image, is in the water as Hajime tries desperately and crawls to reach him. So since water is Kai’s element, Kai could be the demon who took Shun away.
And so Hajime descended into darkness (perhaps represented by the element of darkness beside him in the form of an orb) in order to hold Shun in his arms again.
I mean it’s just a theory but wouldn’t it be such an interesting twist? For Kai to have been the bad guy. It would make the story even more interesting I think
Was told to mimic a Demon Lord and say a pickup line, and did the job so well that even the real Demon Lord (Shun) complimented and suggested to him to become a Demon Lord
(Source: Tsukiuta Radio 4, http://tsukineta.tumblr.com/post/124230950576/fuduki-kai-6)
(I also have a theory on how Shun is connected to Kai’s girl and it could connect to this.)
Well anyway yeah Kai isn’t only the caring older brother, he has a ‘beast master’ side too. What if he was a Demon Lord too? Or the real Demon Lord. How could Shun have been taken away if he was the Demon Lord?
Of course it’s unlikely, even if it were true, that Tsukiuta focused more on comedy and humorous slice of life would take a turn in this kind of supernatural direction but wouldn’t it be so interesting to see? And even if it doesn’t, it’s fun to theorize anyway!
Now my only question is if Shun was a girl in that alternate universe when he/she was Hajime’s lover xDDD. Shun is Procella’s Pretty Pure Princess after all!
I know this is kind of out of the blue so if nothing else, at least, HajiShun~!

Alternate Universe Theory of Hajime’s songs
Here I am doing another analysis of Tsukiuta songs, this time for Hajime.
I would love for this to be purely HajiShun but I can’t ignore information. There are some parts where it seems like he’s singing to Shun, and there are others where he seems like he’s singing to someone else, possibly Yuki who seems to be singing for him. However I don’t even know what Yuki is like or what the relationship between her and Hajime is except that they both have a distinguished aura about them and are distant relatives and are the January representatives.
And of course I’m a HajiShun fan so I’m biased towards HajiShun lol. But this theory will have both YukiHaji (not the other way around) and HajiShun (both ways, yes really HajiShun), though it’s likely to end in HajiShun. Just a heads up if you don’t ship HajiShun. I wrote this for HajiShun.
So this is me just trying to make sense of Hajime’s songs where the person he’s singing to seem to deviate here and there. We know Shun’s heart belongs to Hajime but who does Hajime’s heart belong to?
Well I don’t think Hajime’s songs can tell me that but it’s fun to analyze anyway.
So Hajime’s songs seem rather mysterious and dark at times. And Tsukiuta has supernatural elements such as magic from Shun the Demon Lord and the goddesses candidates. So I think there could be some supernatural elements involved, perhaps he’s singing of an alternate universe.
We start with Mutsubi no Tsuki. So in the song Hajime is singing of a person who seems to be crying, ‘the lightly pouring snow silently shedding tears’ This could be either Yuki or Shun, as Yuki’s name means snow but Shun’s element is ice and he can make it snow. ‘Fair, cold cheeks’ seem to be more like Shun, because having fair skin that reflects off the UV rays of the sunlight and a cold body temperature are his characteristics.
In fact the kanji used is ‘白い頬’ (shiroi hoho); white cheeks. 白い (shiroi) is white, and Shun’s skin is not only fair but white because it reflects off the UV rays of the sun.
You, who keeps calling out my name, which had faintly disappeared are repeating, "I won't forget about you" as you sob tirelessly.
- Mutsuki Hajime, Mutsubi no Tsuki
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Mutsubi_no_Tsuki)
The person also called out his name which had disappeared while sobbing and saying, “I won’t forget about you”. This seems to be reflecting Yuki’s song, ‘The snow dances down as I remember the face of that person of unknown name.’
But the person is sobbing and Yuki seems to be a calm and distinguished person like Hajime, and her songs, though they seem to be referring to Hajime, doesn’t really have her crying (except in Heikiraku, but it was shedding tears). They seem more like songs of yearning, like Kai for the girl who was his first love. Heikiraku even parallels Kai’s song, Sasa no Ha Love Letter.
I wrote that prayer countless times a love letter that fails to reach its destination
- Fuduki Kai, Sasa no Ha Love Letter
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Sasa_no_Ha_Love_Letter)
Disappearing to a far, faraway place. Where had the letter I had written gone to?
- Hanazono Yuki, Heikiraku
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Hekiraku)
So there’s a possibility that Yuki’s love for that person who seems to be Hajime (of an alternate universe?) is a secret love.
And that something happened to Hajime in an alternate universe that made his name be forgotten by people like Yuki and Shun (?)
Picking the frozen snowdrop in cold winter, I bring it close to your lips as we nestle close together. Quietly lying on your side, I could hear your peaceful breathing. The lightly pouring snow silently shedding tears―
- Mutsuki Hajime, Mutsubi no Tsuki
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Mutsubi_no_Tsuki)
The whimsical snowdrop flower is a symbol of new beginnings, fresh new ideas and opportunities
Like the blue rose, the snowdrop seems to symbolize new opportunities, which again can refer to Shun who became an idol for Hajime.
Tumblr media
Btw Hajime is holding out his right hand and Shun is holding out his left hand.
I’ve talked about how Monochrome Sky is for Hajime and if the Nade Nade song and Mutsubi no Tsuki is for Shun well~maybe Hajime is reaching out his hand towards Shun~the songs were released on the same date in November after all
Anyway if the snowdrop is frozen, that means it’s not producing its own natural heat and can’t melt the snow, so the ‘lightly pouring snow silently shedding tears’ could indeed be Shun who ‘shed tears after seeing a dream of the past’ and was so distressed that his normal body temperature was affected and he grew cold.
And Hajime tells that person he will continue loving them even after he disappears.
(Perhaps that’s why Shun panicked and cried in the twitter episode when he couldn’t feel Hajime’s presence anymore)
We move on to the Nade Nade song.
Under the light that passes the gaps of the unmelted snow, while trembling, the hand trails along. ―What spills from the fair skin, lit by crimson light, are licentious whispers.
Your coquettish eyes becoming teary, and your sigh spills. Do you desire warmth? ―Then I will give it to you.
- Mutsuki Hajime,  Aa. Kami wo Nadete, Hoho wo Nadete, Omae wo Aishite yaru.
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Aa._Kami_wo_Nadete,_ Hoho_wo_Nadete,_Omae_wo_Aishite_yaru._(song))
So yeah the snow is unmelted because the snowdrop isn’t producing their own heat (though there’s light). We have the fair skin again, but this time also ‘coquettish eyes’. Coquettish is, ‘behaving in such a way as to suggest a playful sexual attraction; flirtatious’. I think this is more Shun than Yuki who feels unapproachable because of her seriousness lol.
The person is also all alone, and continuing from Mutsubi no Tsuki, if they’re Hajime’s lover and his name would disappear for some reason, then it would explain their loneliness.
But Hajime mentions ‘thinking of this life’ so perhaps they’re also alone in the present (and not in the alternate universe). Well, Shun would feel lonely with his unrequited love for Hajime, but Shun also says in his interview that he’s a lonely person and he wants to be forgiven.
Yes, as you see so I am a lonely person. I don’t want to watch people from far. I want to get closer to them while watching them.  Being able to ask for forgiveness as an adult is my wish.
- Shimotsuki Shun, Mada Mada Saki wa Nagai Drama CD
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Mada_Mada_Saki_wa_Nagai)
I have a theory of why Shun would feel lonely (the Dream series) besides the fact that he didn’t have any friends, but it isn’t really related to this so moving on.
Time skip to Initium, where snowdrops appear again.
Piling up many words that are just like the drifting clouds, the pathos of forgotten love blurred into the feeble voice The first month, embracing beloved you Fluttering and dancing down snow drops Fluttering, they're piling in my heart A petal of the gorgeous aster takes you away Fluttering and vanishing away――
Fluttering and dancing down, on the ashen sky The petal's gorgeousness is shining beautifully Together with the song that marks the beginning――
- Mutsuki Hajime, Initium~ The Moon That Marks The Beginning~
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Initium~Shikoku_Hyourin~)
The theme of love makes its appearance again, forgotten love from that alternate universe. And we have another flower, the aster (which comes in purple and white)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also known as starworts, Michaelmas daisies or Frost flowers, the name aster is derived from the Greek word for "star," and its star-like flowers can be found in a rainbow of colors – white, red, pink, purple, lavender and blue, with mostly yellow centers.
(And Hajime is Shun’s only star; Kimi ni Hana wo, Kimi ni Hoshi wo - ‘I want my only special star to shine’)
The meaning of the aster is ‘patience and elegance. Love and variety, daintiness, afterthought (or the wish things happened differently). Unexpected surprise, mystical stars in midnight sky’ -
Those can all be applied to HajiShun and Shun, but there’s a specific meaning in Japan.
In Japan, Aster tataricus is known as shion, or 紫苑. The flower has a meaning in Japanese language of flowers, which corresponds to "I won't forget you.”
Which again reminds of the person who looks like they could be Shun sobbing and telling Hajime they won’t forget him.
Not only are there snowdrops, there is the ‘ashen’ sky. In other words, grey, which is Shun’s image color. And asters can be purple, which is Hajime’s image color. The petal of aster is fluttering down on the ‘ashen sky’.
(Also Shun probably did the special effects (the snow) for Hajime’s performance of his song in the Full Moon Festival.)
And let’s turn for a bit to a crystal.
Celestine derives its name from the Latin word caelestis meaning celestial,[6] which in turn is derived from the Latin word caelum meaning sky or heaven.[7]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celestine_(mineral)
Shun and Kai’s duet is called Celestite, and Shun sings
I don’t want to break This distance where I can’t be honest
- Shimotsuki Shun, CELESTITE
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Celestite_(song))
Anyway Celestite means celestial, but is from caelum which means sky or heaven.
And so the ‘ashen sky’ Hajime is singing about could be referring to Shun. The snowdrops (the flower which seems to bloom in winter and represents Shun) are piling in his heart as the petal of aster, ‘I won’t forget you’ is fluttering and dancing down on the ashen sky (grey is Shun’s image color, and celestite is derived from caelestis meaning celestial which is in turn from caelum which can mean sky), perhaps symbolizing how Shun is the person, Hajime’s lover, who was sobbing tirelessly and telling Hajime, “I won’t forget about you” in that alternate universe.
After all, Yuki even sings in her song
I killed my feelings by not writing the recipient's name by the end of my words, because I still love you───. Your words made me dance my writing brush, composing words with all my heart.
Ah, the words that smashed up within the blueness.
Disappearing into the blue sky───.
- Hanazono Yuki, Heikiraku
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Hekiraku)
- where it seems more like a song of yearning, like Kai’s song as stated in the beginning.
And sky is from caelum (which caelestis is derived from) which seems to represent Shun.
If she has to ‘kill’ her feelings by not writing Hajime’s name because she still loved him, then it’s likely her love for him was unrequited, and she wasn’t Hajime’s lover. Since this seems to be before Hajime was forgotten, since she still remembers his name.
The winter wind which brings scattered snowflakes blooms in profusion and hides the secret heart in the sleeve.
I want you to feel my flawless skin, with your hand.
The natural elegance includes long nights and whispered intimacies. The mistress is reflected in the paper-covered lantern.
The distant voice of the yearned for person. You approach the heavenly sky in admiration as if being called
- Hanazono Yuki,  Rikka Nadeshiko
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Rikka_Nadeshiko_(song))
Similarly, Rikka Nadeshiko seems to be a reply to Hajime’s Nadete song.
But again, Yuki doesn’t have ‘coquettish eyes’ which become ‘teary’, a flirtatious nature seems more like Shun.
And if you look at the lyrics, she sings about hiding the ‘secret heart’ which implies her love is secret. And she says she wants him to feel her flawless skin with his hand - which may imply he isn’t doing so, which is why she wants him to. Along with hiding her secret heart in the sleeve (maybe unlike Shun who wears his heart and love for Hajime on his sleeve) I’m not sure if she is the ‘mistress’ (unless Shun was a girl in that alternate universe?) but Shun is also naturally elegant (when he wants to be)
The distant voice of the yearned for person. You approach the heavenly sky in admiration as if being called
Again, we have the sky. The heavenly sky. Now this is really celestial (Celestite), ‘belonging or relating to heaven’.
Although celestite comes in many colors, it was named after the sky-blue variety. Its name derives from the Latin word caelestis which means heavenly or celestial. In spiritual circles it is believed that this mineral was named celestite because of its ability to promote greater sensitivity to celestial vibrations
(http://heavencanwaitcardsandgifts.blogspot.sg/2011/01/ healing-properties-of-celestite.html)
Celestite is said to purify the heart, dispel negativity and increase positivity which is what Shun does with his optimistic nature. And he has magical powers.
So ‘heavenly sky’ could be referring to (sky-blue) celestite which could in turn be Shun.
And the ‘distant voice of the yearned for person’ could either be Hajime for Yuki (as her songs seem to have a theme of yearning which could imply her love is unrequited) or Shun for Hajime (because he’s approaching the heavenly sky in admiration as if being called)
(Btw why do so many people hold an unrequited love for Hajime first Shun, Tsubaki, possibly Haru (?) and now Yuki? Hajime you sure are loved lol)
However, the recipient of Hajime’s song seems to change in his duet with Haru.
In both of our beautiful views, singing a children’s folk song, A gentle green blooms within the memories. You gently brush my black hair and smile, that image is now very distant. I pinkie swore that I wouldn’t forget.
- Hanazono Yuki,  Rikka Nadeshiko
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Rikka_Nadeshiko_(song))
The continuously forgotten pinkie promises, are the traces of a dream, in the crossing flower language
It slowly sways, it wavers, the beginning of spring rushing to awaken love, we are the opposite, waiting impatiently in the wind The virtuous girl’s fluttering hair and that nobility
Always being there, if something would change Don’t choose the needlessly comfortable road given by God and Buddha
- Mutsuki Hajime & Yayoi Haru, Hajimaru no Haru
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Hajimari_no_Haru_(song))
The innocent you, during our childhood. Stood beside the snowed Buddha statue
I've come to miss you, as I remember the way you smile back then
- Hanazono Yuki, Harari (http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Harari_(song)
If we were to create a story out of this, in that alternate universe Yuki and Hajime were childhood friends, and Hajime was once innocent as a child. But something happened to him and he forgot about her, and their pinky promise, ‘continuously forgotten pinky promises’ And Yuki (virtuous girl, Yamato Nadeshiko as Yuki has been described) was always there. And when he didn’t choose the comfortable road given by God and Buddha (he stood beside the snowed Buddha statue), it changed. He forgot about their childhood in the flower garden (’a gentle green blooms within the memories’) but she still loved him.
Only you, to nobody but you, I have words that I’d like to convey. Reaching with my voice all the way ahead of the heavenly sky. “I love you, always”
- Hanazono Yuki,  Rikka Nadeshiko
And if the heavenly sky represents Shun (Celestite) then Hajime met Shun (who may have been a girl?) and fell in love with Shun, so Yuki wants her voice to reach all the way ahead of the heavenly sky (Shun), to tell him she still loves him.
From the depth of the spring mist, suddenly a light-colored cuff reveals itself. Obscured under the paper umbrella is a sniveling tear-stained face. Falling gently───. The snow dances down as I remember the face of that person of unknown name. - Hanazono Yuki, Harari
Would a man carry a paper umbrella? To hide his tear-stained face? Perhaps Shun was a girl in that alternate universe.
Anyway the story so far is that Yuki and Hajime were childhood friends but Hajime didn’t choose the ‘comfortable road’ and forgot about their pinky promise. And then he met and fell in love with Shun, but something happened that made him be forgotten by people like Yuki and Shun.
So Harari is when Hajime’s name is forgotten by people like Yuki and Shun. Or perhaps Shun remembers, because he (she?) sobbed and said, “I won’t forget about you.” So by this time Hajime is gone and people like Yuki have forgotten him.
And then she sees a ‘light-colored cuff’ and a ‘tear-stained face’.
And Shun is crying because he’s all alone and ‘the snow dispersed into’ the world.
Ah, as the remnant of warmth grew smaller. The snow also dispersed into this world. The scenery turning white, as my heart grew cold. Much like the piling patches of unmelted snow.
Just for a moment, just one more time is enough.
Won't you let me see that person, who is dear to me despite not knowing his name?
- Hanazono Yuki, Harari
Again we have the unmelted snow (before the light-colored cuff reveals itself)
Under the light that passes the gaps of the unmelted snow, while trembling, the hand trails along. ―What spills from the fair skin, lit by crimson light, are licentious whispers.
Your coquettish eyes becoming teary, and your sigh spills. Do you desire warmth? ―Then I will give it to you.
- Mutsuki Hajime,  Aa. Kami wo Nadete, Hoho wo Nadete, Omae wo Aishite yaru
Recapping from Hajime’s songs, Hajime was going to disappear and Shun was sobbing and felt cold and his normal body temperature was affected so he couldn’t melt the snow, as how Yuki sings about the warmth grew smaller, Shun probably had magic powers in that universe too.
Yuki’s heart grew cold before she saw the person with a tear-stained face under the paper umbrella. Which could imply she didn’t know about Hajime’s disappearance (because she was made to forget his name) And Shun told her, she remembered his face, and then remembered he was dear to her even though she didn’t know his name.
And since Yuki forgot about Hajime and his name and the person who was Hajime’s lover told him they wouldn’t forget about him while calling out his name, it’s more likely the person in Hajime’s song is Shun.
Just for a moment, just one more time is enough.
Won't you let me see that person, who is dear to me despite not knowing his name?
- Hanazono Yuki, Harari
“I want to meet you just one more time” I wrote that prayer countless times
- Fuduki Kai, Sasa no Ha Love Letter
And we have another parallel with Kai’s song, where both Kai and Yuki seem to be yearning for someone whom they want to see just one more time. And since Kai didn’t tell that girl that he loved her, it could imply that Yuki didn’t tell Hajime she loved him as well, and that she wasn’t Hajime’s lover.
So what actually happened to Hajime?
Let’s take a look at Hyourin Shiki (The Purple Moon Demon)
Or Hajime is the demon since it says Purple Moon Demon...but Shun is the Demon Lord.
We end this with Koi Wasuregusa.
The empty feeling of the moment I cast away this earthly life, is similar to the sorrowful feeling of our unavoidable parting.
A fear like that observed in ancient times I thought I knew that I shouldn't try to remember it.
In loneliness in this late night, it came to my mind. The short hair framing your faint red cheeks and your delicate voice. To you, who lives on while carrying pain in your heart, I couldn’t do anything but hurt you. Before the continuously spilling love changes into a blade, I’d rather want to cut off this hand of mine.
“─── at the parting, in one direction.” - Koi Wasuregusa, Mutsuki Hajime & Yayoi Haru
(http://tsukiuta.wikia.com/wiki/Koi_Wasuregusa_(song))
From Haru’s words, it’s likely he was with Hajime in that alternate universe ‘ancient times’ and that he had to part with Hajime because he was going to disappear (Hajime’s disappearance seems to be a recurring theme in the songs)
And here Hajime is definitely singing to Shun. Yuki definitely doesn’t have short hair (mijikashi kami), Shun has short hair which frame his cheeks and a delicate voice.
Tumblr media
Yessss look at that short hair framing his cheeks yes Hajime is definitely singing to Shun! (Might I remind that they look like they’re holding out their hands to each other and so they could be singing to each other)
So to summarize, Hajime is likely singing to Shun and not Yuki because -
Mutsubi no Tsuki:
Shun has fair, cold cheeks and he can create snow (‘the lightly pouring snow silently shedding tears’) Snowdrops produce their own temperature to melt the snow like Shun, but the snowdrop is frozen in Mutsubi no Tsuki. Because Shun is crying, and his body temperature could have been affected as he feels as cold as the snow.
The person who seems to be Hajime’s lover in Mutsubi no Tsuki is ‘sobbing tirelessly’ as they told him they wouldn’t forget about him. Yuki is a dignified woman like a Queen who would be unlikely to sob. In all her songs, the most she has done is shed tears (Heikikaku).
Shun is the more emotional one. And from Yuki’s song, Harari, she seemed to have forgotten Hajime, ‘the face of that person of unknown name’, ‘dear to me despite not knowing his name’. Hajime’s lover was sobbing while crying out his name, repeating, ‘I won’t forget about you’ – implying they wouldn’t forget Hajime’s name – which Yuki did.
And in Yuki’s song, Harari, there was someone besides her.
From the depth of the spring mist, suddenly a light-colored cuff reveals itself.
Obscured under the paper umbrella is a sniveling tear-stained face.
We have that crying person again – this time in Yuki’s song (she can’t be singing about herself right because she’s seeing the light-colored cuff revealing itself from the depth of the spring mist, and Shun wears light colors). This establishes the crying person in Hajime’s songs with the unmelted snow around them as someone other than Yuki. Because he/she appears in Yuki’s song as someone she saw.
(That person was crying because Hajime was going to disappear, ‘Even if this soul shall disappear, I will still love you.’ In the twitter episode of the HajiShun fight, Shun was crying and panicking because he couldn’t feel Hajime’s presence anymore, and it was like Hajime had disappeared even though he was standing right behind Kai and Haru)
Aa. Kami wo Nadete, Hoho wo Nadete, Omae wo Aishite yaru.
The unmelted snow makes its appearance again, ‘Under the light that passes the gaps of the unmelted snow’ as it did in Harari ‘piling patches of unmelted snow’ because the person who is compared to snowdrops is crying again (please don’t cry Shun) ‘Your coquettish eyes becoming teary’ – coquettish means flirtatious, which is more like Shun than Yuki, who feels unapproachable because of her seriousness.
The person is embracing loneliness with nothing to live for, which could be because Hajime is going to disappear. But Shun has also expressed he is a lonely person, and he had no friends before he met Hajime. And Shun wants to sleep until he dies – implying he may have had nothing to live for in that universe.
initium~The Moon That Marks The Beginning~
The snowdrops appear again in initium, ‘fluttering and piling’ in Hajime’s heart. The petal of aster which means ‘I won’t forget you’ is fluttering down on the ‘ashen sky’. Celestite, a heavenly crystal derived from caelum which means sky, is Shun and Kai’s duet and is connected to magic like Shun. Grey (ashen) is Shun’s image color. If the petal of aster, ‘I won’t forget you’ is fluttering down on the ‘ashen sky’, then it could be implication of how Shun wouldn’t forget – is the person in Mutsubi no Tsuki who ‘sobbed tirelessly’ and told Hajime he wouldn’t forget about him.
The sky makes an appearance again in Heikirarku ‘disappearing into the blue sky’ and Harari ‘You approach the heavenly sky in admiration as if being called’. Celestite is derived from caelestis which means ‘celestial’ or ‘heavenly’. Celestite is usually a delicate blue or sky-blue color. Celestite is connected to magic like Shun. Yuki sings about Hajime approaching the heavenly sky in admiration as if being called, and also about hiding ‘the secret heart in the sleeve’.
She seems to be looking at Hajime from afar with an unrequited love for him, and thus is unlikely to be Hajime’s lover. Because she wants her voice to reach ‘all the way ahead of the heavenly sky’, implying the heavenly sky (Celestite; Shun) is blocking her words of love from Hajime because Hajime loves the person who is like the heavenly sky.
She sings about the ‘distant voice of the yearned for person’. This could be either her towards Hajime, or Hajime towards Shun, who seemed to have been taken away in Hyourin Shiki.
Hyourin Shiki
We gain some insight into Hajime’s disappearance, it has something to do with ‘fellow demons’ and being cursed. The person is crying again ‘Your freezing visage, choked in tears.’ Their whisper froze the pain in Hajime’s heart, ‘The pain in my heart froze like ice and fades away.’ Making it even more likely the crying person is Shun because Ice is Shun’s element. Hajime is ‘crawling while reaching out his hand’ towards the ‘faint face image’, so it seems like Shun was taken away from Hajime, complementing the ‘distant voice of the yearned for person’ and Hajime ‘approaching the heavenly sky as if being called’ in Yuki’s song.
Hajime seemed to have done something to ‘hold’ Shun in his ‘arms again’, that led to him being cursed which would explain why he was going to disappear. And why Shun is crying in all his songs, because it would have been his fault Hajime was cursed, because Hajime wanted to hold him in his arms again.
  Hajimari no Haru
Hajimari no Haru seems to tell the story of Yuki and Hajime. Hajime seems to be singing to Yuki, but he sings of the ‘continuously forgotten pinkie promises’ as if in reply to ‘I pinkie swore that I wouldn’t forget’ in Yuki’s song Rikka Nadeshiko. Unlike Yuki, he did forget about their childhood promises which are like the traces of a dream to him. The ‘virtuous girl’s fluttering hair and that nobility’ was always there and perhaps he thought ‘if something would change’.
And it seemed he did not choose the ‘needlessly comfortable road given by God and Buddha’ and met Shun because of that and forgot about Yuki and their childhood. And pursued a road that led him to being cursed and disappearing. I’m not sure if he loved Yuki when they were kids like she loved him before he forgot about her, but it seemed from the lyrics of her songs, that he was gentle, but not loving towards her. Because he was once an innocent child who could sing a children’s folk song and smile beside the snowed Buddha statue before he chose to stray from the comfortable road and met Shun.
While Yuki still loved him and wrote a letter without his name (Heikiraku) to kill her feelings for him (implying her love was unrequited) and wanted her words to reach all the way ahead of the heavenly sky (Harari), probably when Shun was taken away from Hajime.
To further encapsulate this, there are four common themes in Hajime’s songs (which are implied in Yuki’s songs as well)
1)           His crying lover
2)           Snowdrops
3)           The unmelted snow
4)           Hajime’s disappearance
Hajime’s crying lover is in all his songs (except the one which came out with the anime, initium, maybe it really is the song which marks the beginning), ‘lightly pouring snow shedding tears’ ‘shed tears after seeing a dream of the past’ ‘sob tirelesly’ (Mutsubi no Tsuki), ‘Your coquettish eyes becoming teary‘ (Aa. Kami wo Nadete, Hoho wo Nadete, Omae wo Aishite yaru.), ‘Your freezing visage, choked in tears’ (Hyourin Shiki).
And so Hajime’s crying lover and his disappearance are probably connected, especially since Hyourin Shiki has him singing about being cursed to hold them in his arms again. He/she even makes an appearance in Yuki’s song, Harari ‘tear-stained face’. as she remembers Hajime’s face, showing Hajime did something with demons to hold his lover in his arms again and his name was forgotten as a result by everyone but his crying lover who told him they wouldn’t forget about him.
His crying lover is also compared to snowdrops in Mutsubi no Tsuki and initium. White and green and producing their own heat like Shun. They come together with the unmelted snow, ‘frozen snowdrop’ (Mutsubi no Tsuki) ‘gaps of the unmelted snow’ (Nade song), and even in Yuki’s song, ‘piling patches of unmelted snow‘ (Rikka Nadeshiko) - before she saw the crying person with a ‘tear-stained face’, implying further the connection between Hajime’s crying lover which represent snowdrops, and the unmelted snow, because the person is feeling too cold from Hajime’s disappearance to produce heat like snowdrops to melt the snow.
These four themes in Hajime’s songs connect together to show that the person who was Hajime’s lover whom he is singing to in his songs is Shun.
Koi Wasuregusa
And we end off the story with Koi Wasuregusa. Where Hajime sings about short hair framing faint red cheeks and a delicate voice and not being able to do anything but hurt the person who lived while carrying pain in their heart and parting from that person – confirming he had been singing about Shun.
And Shun’s unrequited (forgotten) love for Hajime is bringing him pain in his heart, especially because Hajime keeps on rejecting him because he doesn’t remember. I’m not sure what continuously spilling love refers to, Hajime or Shun, because Hajime says he’d rather want to cut off his hand than hurt the person with short hair, faint red cheeks and a delicate voice even more. Perhaps he doesn’t know how to express his love for Shun. And he sings about the parting, alluding to how he had to disappear from his lover, once again reinforced to be Shun here.
And Koi Wasuregusa is produced and written by Hajime’s producer, Machigerita, who wrote Hajime’s (and Yuki’s) songs.
Even if we continue to live like this, don’t you say that we won’t be happy. It’ll be alright.
- Koi Wasuregusa, Mutsuki Hajime
And we finally end off with Hajime’s line that sums up everything. Hajime and probably Shun as well don’t remember being lovers in that universe. And Shun still loves Hajime, but Hajime keeps on rejecting him because he doesn’t know how to express his love/doesn’t understand his feelings for Shun/doesn’t remember, or all three. And so it seems like they won’t be happy even though they got to meet again in another universe.
But Hajime says it’ll be alright, which could be a prelude to a hopeful beginning (snowdrops also symbolize hope and new beginnings) for him and Shun in their new life.
Because Tsukiuta with its supernatural elements means ‘Monthly song’ and so it would make sense if the characters’ songs told a story about them.
