Going to see my favorite band in less than a week and I'm super excited! Only downside is it's like a 4 hour drive to Nashville.
#music#metal#trivium#concert#catch my disabled ass on the sidelines somewhere so i don't get wall of death'd#or I'll find a tall beefy dude and ask if he'll be my human shield#i haven't been to a concert in like 2 years and that was just seeing buckcherry at some hillbilly bar#last concert i actually wanted to go to was nothing more and that was 2015 or something#before that i think the last show I'd seen was 10 years back in high school. their concerts are always cheap cause they're local boys#kinda not done concerts since high school tbh#shit got too expensive at some point. crowds get too violent. got beat up at the last metal show i saw.#kinda left a bad taste#but trivium was like $40 a ticket and it's the closest I've ever seen them so I'm not passing this by#i missed chances to see both Soundgarden and Linkin Park and i will not not see another band that helped form who i am#after this I'll just need to see Rise Against and i think I'll have seen all my angsty teen year faves

Checked EMS and the goods are on their way ;w;
I gave in and bought a few Buraikan things + Toma's LED ring from the last Dope Show a few days ago, and I'm going nuts waiting for them
I was talking to a good friend about concerts the other day, and they were talking about wanting to go to another metal concert sometime, and I think it would be so funny if I went with them and brought Toma's ring to it. I just want to be a little silly goofy at a concert with a light stick or adjacent, is that too much to ask for
#paradox live#dope show#paradox live dope show#buraikan#chisei#chisei kuzuryu#haruomi#haruomi shingu#yasha#shura#toma hikage#visty#i still need to preorder the buraikan strap off of amiami later#but i dropped a little more than intended on this purchase so maybe in a couple of weeks ;w;#slowly but surely the buraikan ita bag or something is coming together#also the bestie and i are thinking of going to a trivium concert who idk but they really like them#i just think it would be so funny

Beartooth & Trivium Co-Headlining Tour featuring Malevolence & Archetypes Collide
2023 is starting off strong with these amazing tour announcements, with Beartooth & Trivium topping the list of must-see shows this year! Both bands stem from two slightly different worlds and bring a different fan base to this tour. This musical diversity is exciting to see how the fan bases intermingle together. I love seeing different styles of artists performing together, especially with a band like Malevolence since they are a much heavier band and having Archetypes Collide’s support since they play rock too. Buffalo Riverworks was a great venue to watch these powerful artists perform, there was an area for you to go upstairs and watch the show from a new perspective. The Tour kicked off on May 1st, and they are going to keep rocking out all across the U.S. until June 15th.
Archetypes Collide is a rock band from Arizona. They started back in 2014, Archetypes Collide only has two EPs out currently and one self-titled album released this year. After a few years of releasing singles and touring, the band was noticed by Beartooth’s own Oshie Bichar, which led them down the road to eventually being signed to Fearless Records in 2022. I would absolutely love to know more about this band, and what inspired them to start their own band. During the show, the singer Kyle Pastor was very interactive with their fans. I saw online at other shows that he likes to jump in the crowd and dance with all of their fans! The whole band had a ton of energy when it came to performing. I can’t wait to see what their future holds.
Setlist:
“Parasite”
“Destiny”
“One Step Closer” (Linkin Park cover)
“My Own Device”
“Fade Away”
“What If I Fall”
“Your Misery”
Malevolence is an English heavy metal band from South Yorkshire. They started back in 2010, and guitarists Josh Baines and Konan Hall bonded over a mutual love for heavy metal. The boys started playing live when they were only Twelve years old. The band is described as a weird perfect mix of metal and hardcore music to be played. In 2013, they released their first album Reign of Suffering, and have released two more EPs and albums. The band has also been signed to multiple different record labels until they decided to open their own called MLVLTD Music. The band has played alongside many heavy bands such as Knocked Loose, Dying Fetus, Kublai Khan, Jinjer, and more. During their performance you could feel how passionate they are to be playing music, I loved watching them spin & jump around. They got the crowd to do a giant circle pit in the middle of the room, which was fun to watch. Can’t wait to catch them next time they come back to the U.S.
Setlist:
“Malicious Intent”
“Life Sentence”
“Still Waters Run Deep”
“Self Supremacy”
“Higher Place”
“Keep Your Distance”
“On Broken Glass”
Trivium is a heavy metal band from Florida that formed in 1999. Since their debut album Ember to Inferno, the band has released ten studio albums and over twenty singles. In 2019, the band was also nominated for a Grammy for best metal performance. The band has also gone through many lineup changes since they started playing, their lineup currently consists of Matt Heafy, Corey Beaulieu, Paolo Gregoletto, & Alex Bent. Matt Heafy has been the main lyricist since they started in 1999, he has been influenced by many bands such as; Metallica, Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, and Machine Head. Before the band even came out on the stage, you could see the excitement from the fans, they had giant dragon statues on both sides of the stage and other decorations to set the scene. Their stage presence was amazing, Heafy was jumping around singing his heart out while Corey whipped his hair around.
“Rain”
“Like Light To Flies”
“Strife”
“Feast of Fire”
“Built to Fall”
“Down From the Sky”
“The Sin and the Sentence”
“Until the World Goes Cold”
“No Way Back Just Through”
“The Heart From Your Hate”
“In Waves”
“Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr”
Beartooth is a hardcore punk band from Ohio. They debuted their first EP Sick in 2013, they have four studio albums and at least ten singles out to date. They just released their single “Sunshine!” on April 19th, 2023. Beartooth has been described as Metalcore, but there has been a lot of influence from Caleb’s previous band Attack! Attack! The band has also been nominated for four different awards since they started playing music. During the show we got to go up on the balcony to watch the show from a different perspective, you could see the fans down below having the time of their lives, moshing their hearts out and singing like it’s nobody’s business. I love seeing Beartooth when they go on tour, the band is passionate about playing, and right out of the gate, Caleb Shomo was going hard singing meaningful lyrics.
Setlist:
“Devastation”
“Disease”
“Body Bag”
“Sunshine!”
“The Lines”
“Beaten in Lips”
“Bad Listener”
“In Between”
“You Never Know”
“Hated”
“Riptide”
“The Past Is Dead”
“The Last Riff”

Made this exact post on reddit but have a much bigger reach here so I’ll just repost it.
The crowds at Pierce The Veil concerts have got to get safer.
I’ve been talking to people who’ve been to PTV concerts in the last few months and we’ve all had very similar experiences of the crowds being shockingly dangerous.
I’ve been in the pit of much heavier bands. Slipknot, Sepultura, Trivium, you name it. And yet I have never experienced a crowd as uncontrolled and wild as I did when I saw PTV at the Wiltern in LA last October.
The pushing was absolutely insane and honestly very dangerous. It was incredibly compacted, to the point where people were passing out left and right and STAYING UPRIGHT because of how compacted the crowd was. People were getting trampled well within sight of the band and not once did they stop the show and direct the crowd. Security was doing their absolute best but there was nothing they could do, the crowd was completely uncontrollable. It was so dense that they couldn’t even reach the people who needed medical attention. Some people had to get lifted out via crowdsurfing. That is not normal.
Everyone was pushing extremely hard and many people were struggling to breathe. My friend had their sweater ripped off them and they were WEARING IT. The people at the barricades were being crushed against it and leaped over them not even to get closer to the band, but to escape the crowd crush. I’ve literally moshed at a Slipknot concert and felt safer than at the PTV show I went to.
I’ve been talking to other people who’ve been to PTV shows in the last few months and they’ve all experienced very similar things.
I’m honestly shocked no one has gotten seriously injured yet. PTV has got to take some sort of action for the wellbeing of their fans. Start booking bigger venues or selling less pit tickets or SOMETHING. It’s getting very very dangerous and it’s becoming a pattern.

My boyfriend and I have been speculating non-stop about what this whole drop thing could mean. A new album? I personally believe it's too early to announce something like that. A secret concert? most likely, but if that were the case, why would they want everyone to gather in one spot, when the attendees could simply post vids/pics afterwards. I personally don't think it's related with Copia's supposed demise, because it would not make sense to introduce a new Papa right before the premiere of the movie. If he is meant to go, it won't be through this event, in my opinion...
So, I decided to research a little bit more on the link for the drops, this one in specific
I first checked for drops.nyc, and that ended up redirecting me to a website - drops.ar. This company specializes in doing augmented reality projects, and have worked with all sorts of big brands and bands, including Trivium and Amon Amarth.
When you enter the website, you can see a video that acts as a portfolio of sorts for the different projects they've done, including viewings of art pieces, scavenger hunts, or portals to digital exhibitions (you can also see little mini versions of these projects, if you scroll all the way down on their home page).
Either way, I'm not exactly sure what TF is planning, but my guess is that it will be a fun exhibition of sorts online, with a possible fun announcement. Or maybe more creative and interactive marketing for the movie, most likely. Nothing that is anxiety inducing, at least not yet.
Only time will tell.
#the band ghost#ghost bc#papa emeritus IV#rite here rite now#rhrn#idk is this anything? I'm sure someone probably posted about this already#either way i wanted to share I think it's a little interesting find#a small little hint to what TF is planning for us possibly?#ghuleh talks

Trivium, in Nashville in May? It's more likely than I'd think.
#trivium#metal#concert#but no one i know likes metal and i don't want to go alone#but this is the closest they've been in forever/i always see they've been nearby after they're gone#so i can't pass this up#and it's only $50 for a ticket? fucking dirt cheap!#if i can't find anyone i will go alone. I'll just make friends at the venue.#but i do prefer to have an Emotional Support Homie for crowded places#i asked my sister if she'd go but she looked them up and said their music makes her suicidal so...
