The Three Caballeros Together Again - My Redraw - The Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos Movies - Duckverse
I haven't drawn the Three Caballeros for a long time, so here I drew from the famous scene when Panchito introduced himself to them and gave them sombrero hats to Donald and Jose and together they became the Three Caballeros. There is no need to say about the movie Saludos Amigos from 1942 and The Three Caballeros from 1944, in my opinion one of the underrated Disney movies and one of my favorites and certainly The Legend of The Three Caballeros series that came as a spin-off series. Certainly this trio is my favorite Disney trio after Donald's nephews.
Yes, I drew the redraw in my own way. Donald Duck, José Carioca (Zé Carioca) and Panchito Pistoles together for Donald Duck's 90th birthday and the 80th anniversary of The Three Caballeros and the first appearance of Panchito Pistoles. And yes, I drew related to the Mexican holiday, which is celebrated on May 5 every year and is called "Cinco de Mayo" on the occasion of the famous Mexican victory over French troops at the Battle of Pueblo in 1862. The Mexican army was led by General Ignacio Zaragoza at the time, who will unfortunately die a few months after this difficult battle. Not to be confused with Mexico Statehood Day, which is celebrated on September 16 every year, because on that date in 1810, the inhabitants of Mexico (then New Hispaniola) rebelled against Spanish rule and fought for independence and fought for it. Of course, I wish all Mexicans celebrating the Cinco de Mayo a happy holiday. And sorry for the delay.
Feel free to like and reblog this if you're a Three Caballeros fan, but don't copy my same ideas without mentioning me. Thank you! The Three Caballeros strike back again!

SUMMARY OF ALL ARKANIS POVs
DAY 04 — 06/09/2024
Today was the first day when Quel joined, having the pink sad mask on, cracked. She was in a cell, surrounded by Gabepeixe, Jvnq, Coreano and The Gravedigger, Gomez. Later Bagi, Himaru and Guhzera came, questioning her. Turns out she didn't remember anything, not even how she got there. Bagi also found Bia's exile document, which led to the theory that Quel is in fact Bia Raux, except her memories had been wiped so she doesn't create any more problems for the city.
The day continues to be chaotic with Gabepeixe and Coreano being arrested for vandalism at city hall, but fortunately, they were released when the other participants paid the bail. Now the city hall is completely closed for renovations.
Starting with Gabepeixe, the half-fish is on a mission to collect what appear to be dinosaur bones, having 2 of 4 bones so far (. During your mission, numerous black signs written "GO AWAY FROM VALIGMA" appeared at his every step, along with some rays. After finishing his mission, Gabepeixe meets with an entity that gave him the mission and talked to the being for a few minutes before asking who they are, the entity responds after avoiding the question, saying that he was Gabepeixe's son (There are a lot of fathers and sons around here, huh?).
With Felps, while he was talking with Guaxinim near the house where Quel was found, he sees a vision of a large stone cube suspended in the air. He talks about his vision with Guaxinim and Himaru, the latter saying he had already seen something like this. Taking Felps and Guaxinim to the location, the trio climb on top of the large cube and discover a sign in the center with the following phrase:
"Felps and Meiaum
Destroy EVERYTHING."
After finding the giant cube, the trio went their separate ways. Felps once again ends up finding himself in another strange situation: A rat (which was more 3D than minecraft-cubic style), named Ratomano, asked Felps to follow them, taking him to the giant cube again. The carioca rat says that this cube is their home and that they lives with many other rats inside, but Felps and Meiaum could break the place down without killing any of them. Felps agree.
Now it was Guaxinim's turn to be visited by black signs with the same phrase while mining. Confused, Guaxinim confronts whoever placed the signs, only to be received by his vision darkening while the mining ladder is flooded with water. He still continued his mining after a while, but quickly gave up once his mining ladder was abruptly filled with lava.
Thinking that he was definitively expelled from the city, Guaxinim hides in Choke's house to sleep (without the frog knowing).
With Matt, the demon woke up with another book with coordinates in his inventory. Having to face a night that was more dangerous than normal, Matt takes shelter in Guhzera Castle while waiting for Raccoon's help. After a lot of miscommunication, Matt, Felps, Gabepeixe, Raccoon, Wuant and some carioca rats go in a mission to bring the day back, going to the coordinates indicated in the book.
At the indicated location was a large crater with a strange black building in the center, the song "Blue Moon" by The Marcels is playing in the same slowed and looped way as the previous song. After exploring the building, the group finds two chests, the first containing a book telling them to destroy everything and leave no trace, while the second have just several buckets of blood forming the letter "O".
Doing as they were asked, the group destroyed the building, causing the music to stop and the sunny day to return, showing that the mission was complete. Afterwards, everyone gathered in the forest to theorize about the strangeness of the city and the masks, being suddenly interrupted by a voice from nowhere who told them that they found all their theories interesting ( This voice is the same as the voice of the factory owner, who spoke to Guaxinim yesterday when he invaded the factory). Not knowing if they were still being watched, the group said goodbye and went their separate ways.
Onto Bagi's POV, she stumbles into Quel while chatting with Alice and Cleber, taking the opportunity to ask them if they have ever seen the bear's mask before, but unfortunately, neither of them are familiar with it. After that, they all head up to Bira's to see if he might know something about that mysterious mask.
Thankfully, the bartender reveals that he has seen the mask before, giving Bagi and Quel lots of information about who appears to be the mask's previous owner: Bia Raux. Bira explains that Bia wasent exactly forced out of the city, due to most of the town disliking her greatly, Raux seemingly went away on her own, rather than being exiled. While she was still around, she used to do some weird stuff, as the bar owner puts it, the tourists thought it was witchcraft, rituals, things like that. With some great emphasis given by Bira on "using magic to cause housefires".
Bagi then asks why Bia was so hated by the townsfolk, and specially by Jota. And surprisingly, Bira reveals that the mayor and Raux used to childhood friends before he traveled abroad to study after his parents' death. They only stopped being friends during Jota's first candidacy. It is also revealed that Jota's parents died in a housefire with no ashes, with no bodies found, seemingly confirming that they were the couple shown in a newspaper, posted on the mayor's Twitter account before the series started.
After getting all the info she needed (and after running away from Jorge with Cleber), Bagi started to make her way back home, stopping to get some honey on the apiary nextdoor. After getting the honey she wanted, she turned around to see the apiary entrance covered with dark oak signs, all of them with "GET OUT OF VALIGMA" written in bright text. Two books then appeared, with one saying "You know too much..." and the other "Do you really want to challenge me?". Bagi laughed, declaring she wasn't scared, only to receive another book, this time saying "So, let the games begin... we'll see who wins at the end! Bagi!". She then returned home, finishing the stream
[If there's anything we missed, please let us know! It's very difficult to know about all POVs.]

A showdown among the couples, apparently.
José Carioca & Panchito Pistoles from The Three Caballeros (1944)
Do Not Separate: These two are rarely seen without one another, due to the fact that they are two-parts of a trio, leading fans to interpret them as a couple.
It’s Fanon: Due to the line “We’re three caballeros, three gay caballeros”, many fans, despite the evolution of the term “gay”, have elected to ship all three caballeros together.
VS
Li Shang & Fa Mulan/Ping from Mulan (1998)
Gay as an Umbrella Term: The character arc of Mulan/Ping and how they relate to their gender roles has been considered relatable to transgender fans.
It’s a Secret: Throughout the film, Mulan/Ping attempts to pass as male despite being born female, in a way that mirrors the experiences of transgender individuals at many instances.
Do Not Separate: While Mulan/Ping is considered queer on their own, Shang is often read as bisexual due to the way he exhibits interest in Mulan/Ping regardless of how they present.
VS
Dr. Jumba Jookiba & Agent Wendy Pleakley from Lilo & Stitch (2002)
Do Not Separate: Though not together by choice in their source material, the two end up bonding as time goes on and are essentially always depicted as a duo within marketing and extended canon, allowing them to be read as a couple.
Wait, You Were Joking?: Within the film, despite being referred to with masculine pronouns, Pleakley disguises himself in women’s clothing to blend in, which is intended to be comedic. This becomes a running gag in the extended canon.

Donald and Daisy Duck - reached the Himalayas near the Yeti Spa Center - The Legend of The Three Caballeros - Video Clip
Episode "Shangri-La-Di-Da", the 12th episode of the underrated series The Legend of The Three Caballeros.
After Daisy left Donald, she came back to comment and humiliate Donald to no end. Xandra, the goddess of adventure sent them to the Himalayas at the Yeti Spa Center to reconcile them and she will succeed. Yes, except that Donald had more problems with his anger than Daisy did.
"They are just perfect for each other". - Xandra about Donald and Daisy
Unpopular opinion, but I love Daisy in The Legend of The Three Caballeros even though I didn't like how Daisy treated Donald at some points, although there were plans to fix Daisy too but due to the conditions at the time they couldn't do it so it was mostly on Donald. Certainly in the end Donald and Daisy were for each other and I love that couple, and I also love the couple Donald with Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles, as the best trio. My opinion.
If you're a Donsy (Donald and Daisy) fan and support this couple, feel free to like and reblog this.

BOA NOITE LIV!!!

MASCOTS READ MEAN TWEETS! (Sidemascots 1.13)
Stay tuned for a poll at the end!
Starring…
THE SIDEMASCOTS!
Vinicius: Season 1!
DISCLAIMER: None of the tweets are sent by real people, nor do they reflect the author’s opinion on each mascot. No offense to anyone intended.
Vinicius: “How does it feel to not work for Divertidos por Natureza for a long time?” Well, I was on multiple rehabs during the past month, and I was also busy working for the Sidemascots now! What? “Just a friendly reminder that the Carioca sisters exist and do breathe.” Oh, haha.
Sumi: “How does it feel to be the only surviving member of the Miga-Quatchi-Sumi trio”?! How does it feel to see ME survive?!
Miraitowa: -_- (The tweet he’s reading is “Default Olympic mascot”, classic.)
Burke: “Can we just appreciate the fact that he’s the only non-mascot to be in the Sidemascots?” Hey, I’m the unofficial mascot of Atlanta United! Oh, wait a minute, “Atlanta United?! Good luck beating Inter Miami, eh?!”, Hey, I’m also a fan of Messi!
Wenlock: “You’re named after a town in Shropshire, but promoted London?! Thin ice, whoever you are.” Hey, Olympic mascots don’t need to promote the host city! Also, I’m tirelessly trying to improve tourism in Much Wenlock! Just you wait!
Borobi: “Am I allowed to talk about your indigenous origins?” No mate! “How about I speak in Yugambeh”, oh haha.
Tina: “How does it feel to be an AC Milan fan for a week”, every day I think of the Inter Milan ultras holding large missiles in their hands, I’m scared.
Honohon: “Did you meet Uzumin? He’s so cute, cry emoji, cry emoji, cry emoji.”
Uzumin: Mina-san, konichiwa!
Honohon: Is that you?
Uzumin: It’s me! Let’s be friends!
Honohon: Oh, um… okay.
Uzumin: YAAAAAAAAAY!
Vinicius: THAT DOESN’T MEAN YOU’RE IN THE SIDEMASCOTS… YET!
Miraitowa: -_- (Another “default Olympic mascot” tweet)
Burke: “How many Miraitowas are there in this world?” Let me guess. “Two.” Oh haha.
Wenlock: “QUICK! BEFORE CRACKHEAD KNOWS THIS! IN SIDEMASCOTS 1.9 YOU GUYS-“
(@crackheadfromsainsburys shoots a laser beam on Wenlock’s head)
Crackhead: *gasps* Wenlock, are you okay?! Oh no…
Sumi: “Sumi, it’s Mukmuk, Miga’s dying. Help.” :/
Burke: “Atlanta United? So support a proper club!” I STAND BY THE GREAT CITY OF ATLANTA, GEORGIA! What? “Go to the real Georgia in Europe, dumbass”. Well yeah, but… but… LONG LIVE ATLANTA!
Vinicius: “You’re named after Vinicius de Moraes? I thought it was Vinicius Jr.! Get it?” Well, I do respect him a lot. That musician of course.
Tina: “Did you know that one of the Flos is going to cover Aladdin Sane?” What?
Sumi: It’s a David Bowie album.
Tina: Ohhhh… what?
Sumi: He’s a lad insane.
Tina: What the heck are you talking about-
Borobi: Scroll, scroll, scroll… Oh, finally, the one not about my indigenous origins! “Can anyone tell me how the AFL works?” Finally! It’s basically- wait… “I only know that the Suns are shit. Hahahahaha.”
Burke: Don’t worry, Borobi, it’s okay if your boyhood club receives some “rude comments”
Borobi: Thanks, mate.
Burke: Though it’s going to take some time to realize that Aussie rules aren’t popular in every other country, ha.
Borobi: OH COME ON MATE!
Sumi: “American black bear with flappy hands?! Are you drinking too much Red Bull?!” Well, I’ve seen someone who drank Red Bull a lot. It’s just that I don’t remember…
(@crackheadfromsainsburys shoots a laser beam on Sumi’s head)
Crackhead: SHUT. UP.
Burke: “Miami 2 Atlanta 1? Oh no, the best team won.” Suarez’ on fire, my defense is terrified!
Borobi: “1 matchday in and you got COOKED by Auckland?! It’s like a baby wrestled an adult!” Look, sometimes I wish I could return to the Gold Coast United days mate. I’m loyal to the Gold Coast.
Vinicius: WHAT?! SUMI’S DEAD?
Crackhead: He’s not dead, just in a coma.
Vinicius: (sobs)
Crackhead: Look, I’m-
(Vinicius chokes Crackhead)
Vinicius: HOW DARE YOU!
Uzumin: Don’t be koi – Let’s swim against the current. (Badum tsss)
Honohon: …
Uzumin: Get it? Koi? As in koi fish?
Rockstar Flo: There’s a starman, waiting in the sky…
Tina: Is that Aladdin Sane?
Rockstar Flo: No, it’s Ziggy Stardust.
Tina: What?
Rockstar Flo: You’re too young to understand Bowie darling.
Tina: But I’m fifteen-
Borobi: “Did anyone see the Gold Coast Titans? They’ve been missing from the finals mate.” Look, sometimes, I want to go- ohhhhhhh… WELL, HOW DARE YOU MATE!
Vinicius: Look at what you've done to your idol!
Crackhead: (gasps) I forgot…
Vinicius: Did you read “The Catcher in the Rye”?
Crackhead: NO! (sobs) I’M A MONSTER! (runs out of the studio) A MONSTER!
Miraitowa: Right, all of the tweets you guys sent to me are all about me being a default Olympic mascot. I QUIT!
(Vinicius puts on the defibrillator onto Sumi’s chest)
Vinicius: CLEAR!
Sumi: GAH! WHAT HAPPENED!
Vinicius: We were filming a Sidemascots episode and you collapsed.
Sumi: Ack, my heart hurts.
Vinicius: You deserve a rest buddy.
Uzumin: Hey!
Honohon: What?!
Uzumin: Water you up to today?
Honohon: …
Uzumin: Get it? I was meant to “What are you up to today?” But instead, I say “Water you up to today?”
Honohon: You’re the worst.
Uzumin: PLEASE, DON’T LEAVE ME HONOHON!
Someity: I’ve deleted all of the mean tweets!
Vinicius: WHAT?!
Sumi: You can’t do that!
Someity: I can and I just did. I don’t need anyone to make fun of my diet. Mic drop.
Vinicius: …
Sumi: …
THE SIDEMASCOTS!
Crackhead: CLEAR!
Wenlock: AH, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!
Crackhead: Please, forgive me for what I’ve done to you today!
Wenlock: Why is she suddenly praying for me today?
Vinicius: Uh… you’re a deity.
Wenlock: REALLY?!
Sumi: REALLY! And because of you we’ll officially grant you lifetime aura insurance!
Wenlock: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Vinicius: Anyway…
VOTE NOW!
Vinicius: For the next 24 hours, you get to choose who will fill the vacant slot in the Sidemascots!
Sumi: Choose between…
Vinicius: Ettie (the Paris 2024 mascot kind!)
Ettie: VIVA LA PARIS!
Sumi: Zakumi!
Zakumi: Zamina Mina, eh eh, Waka waka eh eh eh!
Vinicius: Tom!
Tom: Don’t you start…
Sumi: Tani!
Tani: PLEASE! THIS IS MY ONE AND ONLY CHANCE TO ESCAPE FROM NORTH KOREAN SPIES!
Vinicius: Moongcho!
Sumi: I don’t think he’s okay…
Vinicius: A Bull?
(Perry puts his hat on again, tired of Phineas and Ferb references)
Vinicius and Sumi: PERRY THE BULL?!
Vinicius: You have 24 hours to vote…
Sumi: SO VOTE, NOW!
Vinicius: I recommend you vote for Tom.

DISNEY STUDIO AU: José Carioca
Tumblr media
Full Name: José Carioca
Other Names: Zé Carioca, Joe Carioca
Schools: Xurupita High School (graduated), Walt Disney University of Performing Arts (graduated)
Occuaption(s): Sub-Vocalist and Dancer of the Three Caballeros, Samba pop/jazz singer
Residence: Xurupita Village, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Family: Zico and Zeca Carioca (nephews), 6 cousins
Relationships: Rosinha Vaz (ex-girlfriend), Donald Fauntleroy Duck (best friend; fellow member of the Three Caballeros), Panchito Pistoles (best friend; fellow member of the Three Caballeros), Nestor (childhood friend), Afonsinho (childhood friend), Pedrão (childhood friend), Galdino “Zé Galo” Chaves (rival->occasional friend->???)
Likes: Brazilian music (especially Samba), Latin Music & Dances, drinking, traveling, parties, singing, dancing, foreign cultures & music, telenovela
Dislikes: Malicious comments against Donald or Panchito
José Carioca is a sub-vocalist and dancer of the Three Caballeros, the latin-pop boy band. He is also a Samba pop/jazz singer in Brazil. From same university with his two friends Panchito and Donald, the group was formed sharing same passion and pursuit for music career. In most of their songs, José takes control in dance break to rile up the fans at concert. The most calm and polite individual, he is the peacemaker between his team and other rivaling musicians in a middle of intense rivalry. Among the trio, José is most known for having great counts of scandal (with men, women, non-binary, etc).
Born in Xurupita village since childhood, he usually hang out with his childhood friends Nestor, Afonsinho and Pedrão. It is known he has six cousins who live in separate states within Brazil. While he loved to sing, he began to fear of losing his singing voice as he entered puberty. Believing that changing his male reproductive organ to female's would solve his fear, he used all his part-time job money to pay for the surgery, which miraculously, he was able to retain his androgynous singing voice. With his natural talents in dancing and singing, he decided to move to United States in order to learn performing arts as soon as he graduated high school. At one point, he struggled to carry his musical instruments and was about to fall until Donald caught him and his instruments safely. Impressed, José quickly befriended him. When hearing of forming a band, José offered his idea of having three in a group as both scouted Panchito, the Mexican student. Since then, the three friends wrote songs and performed from USA to other Latin American nations. When he confessed to them of his past of surgery, the two nonetheless accepted José. When they were preparing for Europe Tour, Donald's neck was injured causing him to unable to sing. José was seen tearfully bidding goodbye to Donald who left for his 4 years of service in the Navy. Due to the recording company's high demanding and irresponsible supervisions/control, both José and Panchito left the company. While Panchito became a mariachi and Mexican pop singer in Mexico, José returned to Brazil where he became a Samba pop/jazz singer under the stage name Zé. He reunited with his childhood friends and encountered Rosinha Vaz, beginning his relationship with her.
At some point, he thought of marrying Rosinha but was harshly scorned by her father Rocha Vaz who have already planned to set her up with Galdino “Zé Galo” Chaves, the Top1 wealthiest in Brazil. José was unfairly scorned by Rosinha's father, calling him "Castrato Tranny", mocking Panchito and Donald and insulted his family. In anger for the first time, José warned him to never mock his family, friends and their dream, adding that the old man had jinxed himself and would die someday with all money useless to him. While dated Rosinha, he felt as if she was putting him and Zé Galo on the hook, growing less confident of himself. Yet, he find himself occasionally befriend his love rival. One day, he received a call from Panchito about the plan to restore Donald's singing voice. Understanding Donald's wish to comeback as "Three Caballeros", he put his friend's dream first as he broke up with Rosinha and agreed to perform in the hotel owned by Chaves family. With enough money earned, he left Brazil and moved back to USA. When Donald's voice was finally cured, the three made their comeback in House of Mouse, confirming their return and continuing their careers together.
Because of his experience in raising two nephews before Donald's surgery, José is one of very few who is able to handle Huey, Dewey and Louie's antics. Being a member representing LGBTQ+, majority of his fans are of same community and often perform songs in Pride Parades/Carnivals. He has a somewhat naive side when advised by Donald in writing songs through expressing or telling stories genuinely, José released his single song "Amazonian Cuckhold" based on the legend of Encantado/the Amazonian Pink Dolphin, adding spice with story in a song; in a POV of Encantado who found the lonely girl in a party as her boyfriend stood her up with other girls, so Encantado wooed/seduced the girl while insulting her boyfriend. Despite the censorship, the song has become a cautionary tale to never take the received love for granted or someone better would steal their lover away.

FRIBURGUENSE 0 x 3 FLUMINENSE. Campeonato Carioca 2004 Gols: Ramon (13/1ºT), Antônio Carlos (22/2ºT) e Marcelo (36/2ºT).

Who in the qsmp fits this iconic Disney trio?
Tumblr media
An American duck in a sailor outfit, a Mexican rooster cowboy, and a Brazilian (Carioca) parrot magician.
For those unfamiliar: the duck is Donald Duck. the parrot is José "Zé" Carioca. and the rooster has a few different names. Including Panchito Pistolas and Panchito Romero Miguel Junipero Francisco Quintero González III. These new characters (and this scene) were featured in Disney's The Three Caballeros (1944).

The Three Caballeros and Daffy Duck as Carmen Miranda - Crossover - Looney Tunes and Disney - Duckverse - My version - Carnival in Brazil
After a long time I finally returned to my favorite activities and drew a crossover drawing of Daffy and Donald Duck, my favorite ducks, together with Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles. And they are all dressed in dresses together, through crossdressing and that's like Carmen Miranda. Carmen do Carmo Miranda da Cuna, better known by her pen name Carmen Miranda, was a Portuguese-Brazilian samba singer and dancer, Broadway actress and film star who was popular from the 1930s through the 1950s. She was born in Portugal, but her parents immigrated to Brazil shortly after. Born in 1909, died in 1955, she was one of the greatest dancing and singing icons of Latin American music of the 20th century. And she inspired a lot in popular culture. Daffy Duck was Carmen Miranda in the classic short "Yankee Doodle Daffy" from 1943, produced by Friz Frieleng, while Jose Carioca was Carmen Miranda in "The Three Caballeros" from 1944, produced by Walt Disney. For Donald and Panchito, I added in my own way. Yes, Brazilian women sometimes wear fruit on their heads, as a decoration, although this can also be found in Africa, the Pacific and Southeast Asia.
Yes, it's funny to see male characters in dresses, so I drew those characters in my own way, just to make a joke, otherwise this is just a joke. Also, the background is in the colors of the rainbow, I only missed the last two colors, sorry, although it can also be linked to gay colors. Certainly the golden era of cartoons was full of humor and crossdressing so here I am drawing my favorite characters as Carmen Miranda, one of my favorite singers of all time and thank her for everything. And it's not bad that Daffy Duck from Looney Tunes is with the Disney trio, the Three Caballeros. José Carioca, Panchito Pistoles, Donald Duck and Daffy Duck in one place. Let me describe a little what the carnival in Brazil is like, which is held in February every year, plus a little refreshment related to the summer months. Plus this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHJLm6WNEv4
I hope you like this drawing and feel free to like and reblog this, just don't copy these same ideas of mine without mentioning me. Thank you! Also Happy 90th Birthday Donald Duck and 80th Anniversary of The Three Caballeros!

Ana Luiza Ferreira stars in “Beetlejuice” alongside Edu Sterblitch
By Marcelo Bandeira | 04/11/2023 15:56
Combining comedy and horror, the work, which runs until December 10th, provides fun for the whole family and is inspired by the film “The Ghosts Have Fun”.
Translator's note: this is the translation of the name used when the film was shown at the Brazilian cinema :] ... Honestly, Brazilian title adaptations are weird (°_°;)
Tumblr media
Born with a destiny clearly traced since a young age, actress Ana Luiza Ferreira found her great passion in the performing arts. Currently, she dazzles the stage at the Cidade das Artes Bibi Ferreira, in Rio de Janeiro, in the role of Lydia Deetz in "Beetlejuice: Os Fantasmas se Divertem — O Musical" and celebrates a new "turning point" in her career, after eight years since the debut that established her in the theater, as the aspiring Maria Roberta in “Sister Act”
“ ‘Sister Act’ changed my life. I was about to give up when I passed the audition. And it didn't stop there! We had a beautiful season of almost a year, I acted alongside childhood idols, and both critics and audiences welcomed me warmly. Undoubtedly, it represented an important change in my story. However, 'Beetlejuice' came to be a strong contender (laughs),” she said, demonstrating her excitement for the new project.
Tumblr media
For Ana Luiza, music was her first love, and although today it's the "aggregation" of all the forms that complete her, the carioca keeps alive her other artistic vein as a pop singer and dedicates herself to original compositions like the hits and music videos "Hey" and "Fools," two of the trio she prepared for 2023. "What fulfills me is knowing that when I sing, I'm also acting, there's no way to separate them anymore, and that hypnotizes me," she emphasized to iG. Check out the full interview!
Beetlejuicet is a cult classic, with a passionate fan base, and will get a sequel in theaters in 2024. How has the public received it?
“The number of people we see dressed up or wearing striped clothes when the theater lights come on during the curtain call is surreal. I'm an admirer of the work, actually of the entire Tim Burton universe, so I see myself in each one. Surely, I would also be 'striped.' Besides the messages of affection that are coming, I try to respond to all of them and I'm happy that they like it.
Edu (Sterblitch) is a genius and a generous human being, and the cast is very talented. Touché's production is impeccable, and the humane direction of our dear Tadeu Aguiar has guided us down such a fascinating path that it's impossible not to love the "boldness of the Brazilian adaptation.”
Tumblr media
Is there a part of your character that you personally identify with? How do you prepare to enter Lydia's mind and heart with each performance? Do you have a special ritual?
“I recognize myself in her in several aspects. I understand the pain of losing a close relative, and like her, I'm still learning to move forward. I was a bit of an emo teenager, feeling misunderstood by society and listening to pop-punk. I believe that helps with the musical references. Before going on stage, I connect with my castmates in a circle of energy, a hug, say my prayers, and it's show time!”
Tumblr media
Beetlejuice will have a sequel and will bring back Winona Ryder in the role — with whom you, in fact, already have a certain affinity — after starring in a production of "Heathers." What do you attribute this connection to? Do they act in similar settings?
“Although cinema and theater are different languages, I think we find ourselves when playing unconventional roles. At times, I felt out of place in society. Even among my groups of friends, I considered myself the artist in a sea of engineers, doctors, and lawyers, or the one with the weirdest laugh and non-standard body. These "experiences" allow me to access an interesting aspect on stage; after all, I often say that the actor's greatest research tool is themselves.”

José Carioca & Panchito Pistoles from The Three Caballeros (1944)
Do Not Separate: These two are rarely seen without one another, due to the fact that they are two-parts of a trio, leading fans to interpret them as a couple.
It's Fanon: Due to the line "We're three caballeros, three gay caballeros", many fans, despite the evolution of the term "gay", have elected to ship all three caballeros together.
VS
Timon & Pumbaa from The Lion King (1994)
Do Not Separate: These two are always depicted together as a pair, due to the fact that they fulfill the same narrative role in tandem in their source material. This has lead fans to interpret them as a couple.
Outcasts: The two are introduced as social outcasts, with multiple reasons being given in canon, including their lifestyle choices.
Wait, You Were Joking?: Via improvised joke, Timon dons drag during the third act of The Lion King.

Happy late birthday(s) Panchito Pistoles and Aracuan Bird!
First off, Merry Christmas to everyone!
Even though I'm late, I'll definitely post a special post as well as some backlog posts related to anniversaries by the end of the year, so I'll do that with one of my favorite characters first. The rest is copied text from my last year's post.
Panchito Pistoles or real name Panchito Romero Miguel Francisco Quintero Gonzalez III first appeared in the movie "The Three Caballeros" on December 21, 1944 and since then he became a main part of the Three Caballeros. Unlike Donald and Jose Carioca, Panchito doesn't appear too much, but he was present in several cartoons and in a few comic books. And Panchito doesn't have a big family and crew behind him except for his horse Señor Martinez, his twin Shirochito and of course his best friends Donald and Jose. Yes there is a song Panchito sings about his family, but only his family members appeared once. Certainly Panchito is a very exciting and funny character and loves to joke around. And he often likes to shoot a revolver.
On the same date, the Aracuan Bird, a silly bird of the Amazon, also appears.
On this day, in 1944, the movie “The Three Caballeros” was shown, which was a sequel to the movie “Saludos Amigos” from 1942, and it was a mixture of live-action and animated movie and contains several sequences. I definitely recommend you watch both movies, which you haven’t yet!
Certainly in these sequences, as in the Saludos Amigos movie, the beautiful countries of Latin America are shown, as well as the people and customs themselves. New characters such as Pablo the Penguin, Buritto the Flying Donkey, Horse Senor Martinez and others have also appeared in these films. But that day, two characters appeared who will be part of Donald’s world, and they are Panchito Pistoles and Aracuan Bird. With Panchito, Donald and Jose will become legendary trio singers, called the Three Caballeros. After that film, they will appear in several cartoons, comics, toys and other shows.
And now pictures of Panchito, Aracuan Bird and their friends from 1944 until today.
Definitely happy 78th anniversary, Three Caballeros! And happy 78th birthday, Panchito Pistoles! And happy birthday to you, Aracuan Bird! And that they are some of the best Disney characters ever.
If you love Three Caballeros or their characters or their friends, family and their rivals, from the beginning until today, feel free to like this and reblog this!
