GW2 Community Appreciation Week! Let’s take time to be a community and spend a week reblogging content and sending asks to each other, really try to ramp up interaction for a little bit!

It feels like it would be a fun way to start off November, try to kick those Late Fall Blues to the curb for a little and spend a week complimenting each other’s work and talking to each other. I tried to cover a little bit of everything, but the main focus is definitely on reblogs since those are the lifeblood of any tumblr community.

So from October 30th to November 5th, take the time to tell the content creators around you that you genuinely appreciate the stuff they do and make the community feel a little more alive again for a week. Set your tumblr search to ‘latest’ instead of ‘top’, aim to reblog directly from the original poster occasionally, and if you want maybe tag reblogs as “#community appreciation” so folks can see who’s participating

The Good Stuff (aka prizes)

How this is gonna work is I’ve ordered a bunch of (small) SA stickers from redbubble (I’ll post pics further down so you can see what your options are) and you can pick which ones you want. These are gonna be first come first serve so it’ll be in your best interest to answer quickly if you’ve got your eye on something specific. 

I have a 1.25in button press and will be making custom pinback buttons for a few people as well. You can pretty much put whatever you want on these, but I can (and will) reject images/text that I’m not comfortable printing, won’t fit well onto the button, or (if there’s text) won’t be readable. Unfortunately, I can only send buttons to people living in North America because of shipping costs. 

For those of you who live in other parts of the world (or who just don’t want buttons), I can offer you a 3x3in watercolour painting and/or some calligraphy instead. Examples of these can be found at the bottom of the post. Portraits=3 buttons, calligraphy/watercolour quotes=1 button. If you want something else for the watercolour painting, we can work out how many buttons it’s worth :)

And here are some art examples! These are all done on 3x3 squares of watercolour paper- the Ilse portrait isn’t quite finished, I still haven’t gotten around to doing her nose. I also tried to balance the colours on these so it’s more like how they actually look but? Y eah I have no idea what I’m doing. 

I also do this swirly abstract thing which I can do on its on or as a bg for portraits or text. It’s kind of time consuming so I might have it add a button to the “cost” of the other stuff if you go with it. These examples are watercolour on construction paper. 

And last (and certainly least) here’s an example of my calligraphy. I’m sorry about the Unfortunate word choice but gab requested it and I got new ink pretty recently after not having any decent stuff for a year or two so I don’t have much to choose from. If you choose calligraphy I would be doing it on the blank side of an index card, not a lined piece of paper.
