hopped around with my partner in crime somewhere in Olongapo Zambales. We're here just for his contract renewal with his company, where he works. I stayed at SM Olongapo to wait for him. I stayed there for atleast 5 hours, alone. I just ate Dunkin Donut and try their ube zagu.
I actually enjoy the whole day, kahit gabi na kami nakauwi. Finally napuntahan ko din. Thanks honey.

Can you imagine some culture shock that the TWST boys and the school staffs when come to Philipine?
Got an ask similar to that a long time ago
But yeah, the culture shock js definitely there. Earth in general, gives the twst boys culture shock since the Nezumis reside in Muggle London where magic is isn’t used and is believed to be imaginary.
For this ask though, I’m going to pretend that they’re going a trip to the Philippines to visit Minako’s family somehow. They don’t have earth passports, so they ended up conjuring a travelling mirror in Minako’s Lola’s (grandma) house. They were lucky, that Lola Imelda was already quite used to the weird things that goes on with her grandchildren since she’s grown up with listening myths and running into duwende (elves, goblins, dwarves) in the woods.
Minako is such a menace everytime the family goes to the Philippines because she’s always listening in on mythical creature sightings and it gets her curious enough to go find them. Rook is no help at all because he goes on these creature spotting trip with her. She almost got themselves in trouble when they were ran into an aswang (pinoy umbrella term for evil shape-shifting ghouls, witches, vampires, or hybrids), but thanks to her she identified the aswang as a mananggal that was feeding off the fetuses and newborns around town. She had to sprinkle salt and crushed garlic around the house to protect her pregnant aunt.
The internet is also quite slow there, Idia and Cater are freaking out about it when there’s bad weather. Idia does his usual nerdy thing by somehow forcing the wifi to go faster.
The public transport has a lot of variety from jeepneys, buses, trains, even motor tricycles. Deuce is horrified but also fascinated by how one tricycle can fit seven people.
I like to think that the Nezumis travelled to the Philippines to celebrate the Ber months with their family (last 4 months of the year). Twisted Wonderland doesn’t have Christmas, but they have the Winter Holiday which is more about feasts and family rather than gifts. However, they have seen Christmas in London, and they know that the celebrations start immediately after Halloween. And then in the Lola’s house, the malls, the streets, they’re all decorated in Christmas decorations and it’s the beginning of September. Huh???
Oh well, at least they were given gifts.
That’s all I got for now I think.

Dearest Molly,
I hope you're feeling better! The damn covid that won't test positive. What a pain in the ass. Speaking of, can I be one for just a sec? Full disclosure, I'm a bit of a history nerd, and right now, I'm all WWII. My grandfather flew B25 bombers over the Philipines during the war and I've been really eating it up.
I was rereading the till forever falls apart tag (brilliant, amazing, can't wait for it!) and had a question. I also remembered that post you made about research and accuracy so in the spirit of that, here I am...
I've been watching this series on Netflix about WWII battles that have been colorized and I happened upon the one on The Battle of Britain this morning while getting ready and had a moment about the timeline of the AU. How long is our dear Anthony in the hospital? I just wonder because you mention both Goose and Dorset being Americans and the Battle of Britain was in 1940 and we had not entered the war yet.
Ben Affleck in Pearl Harbor made it seem like it would be really easy to just hop over and join the RAF, but it would actually be really complicated because of the neutrality laws Congress signed into place in the '30s. They'd have to resign their commission, travel to Canada, and pretend to be Canadian. All that being said, there were only about 10 Americans that historians can determine were in the Battle of Britain because they were only identified many times by their call signs because being there was actually a felony.
So all that being said, if our poor boy is still in hospital til then, well... I may have just clutched my metaphorical pearls and said, "Poor boy, thank goodness Kate is there!"
Lastly, one more thing, because I am a pain. I mentioned my grandfather, but my late husband and brother were also in branches of the US military and one thing they taught me is a THING, when in uniform, your cap (or cover as they called it) is removed immediately upon entering a building. When Kate meets Anthony at the dance, there is a line about his still having his forage cap on. They can wear it indoors while participating in a ceremony (my brother at my wedding was fine), but I feel like if a CO walked into that dancehall and saw that cap, our boy would have received quite the dressing down. Which actually might be funny for Kate. But I did also google this about the RAF so I didn't sound like a complete twat.
Anyway. In penance for being annoying, a picture of my girls, Sadie and Piper (in the Christmas cape!).
Tumblr media
I adore your work, I think you are so talented. Thank you for all of your words and for sharing bits of your life with us. Greggy and Supreme are adorable and I am here for it!
Hey!
So! Let me clear up the main point here: Anthony flew in the Battle of Britain, but he wasn’t injured in the Battle of Britain. I haven’t worked out the timeline just yet but it his injury happens sometime after the US Air Force was stationed at Duxford. He wasn’t in the hospital for 2 years don’t worry, I think a few months is realistic though. Sorry, I should have been clearer about that. Anthony is very proud of having flown in the Battle of Britain but that’s not where he was injured, it just means he’s a pretty decorated pilot when he’s shot down.
And I actually nearly had Kate make a comment about removing his hat inside, particularly in the presence of a lady just to throw him off a little, but I decided not to because the snippet was getting too long. I think I’ll add it back into the fic though when I write it!
Thank you though! If you notice anything else: let me know!
And look at those two beautiful little pooches. Precious babies.

hey view i got nothing to ask so how are you today feeling great?
extra question: i remember you saying to Bloombird that your family travels and there's a potencial chance you might come to the Philipines so where have you been to already and how do you rate that place ( sorry if this is unfandom, out of the blue and kinda creepy btw)
I'm feeling good. Had a shift at work today, and it went very well(plus it was payday!). As for travel plans, I may have mentioned wanting to go there, but after talking to my family, it seems unlikely(we are headed to the Mediterranean[mainly Turkey and Greece] in September, though). When it comes to where I've already been...it's a lot, so if you could narrow it down, that'd be great!
(Don't worry about asking nonfandom questions. As long as it's not too personal, I'm willing to share!)

The Wonders of Oslob
Oslob is located at the southern tip of Cebu. It is one of the most famous tourist spots in the Philipines.
There are many spots and places where you can only see in Oslob.
Are you one of those people who wish to witness, swim with, and snap pictures near to the world's largest fish on the earth? If yes, great news for you because you do not have to travel farther just to have a close up experience with the whales. Oslob's one of the most popular activity is the Whale Shark Watching. You can choose to watch them from the boat or you can also swim with them and take pictures. The locals are very nice and hospitable. They will offer to take your pictures so you can have a memorable experience!
You should include some fantastic locations, must-do activities, and undiscovered treasure in your epic journey to Oslob.

Enjoy the breathtaking view of Tumalog falls
Tumblr media
Although there are several waterfalls in Oslob, Cebu, the Tumalog Falls are the most breathtaking of all. Many Oslob tours include a stop to Tumalog Falls. The best method to get there is to take a habal-habal. After a long day of walking and exploring, you can stay here to relax and have a nice view.
The Historic Cuartel Ruins
Tumblr media
Cuartel Ruins in Oslob, CebuThe Cuartel was built in 1860 as a military barrack for the Spanish soldiers. One of Oslob's historic attractions is the incomplete building.
Tumblr media
It looks like the version of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy, as you can see in the picture. It is satisfying to visit because of its unique design and style.
You will never regret traveling to one of the most famous tourist spots in Cebu. The best season for traveling in this place is summer, when you can see the beautiful and unique hidden treasures of Oslob.
Over the past years, Oslob became more popular and considered one of the bucket list of many.

Senate President Migz Zubiri and Senator JV Ejercito recently traveled all the way to Singapore just to attend the 2024 Singapore Airshow so they could "Window Shop" for Military Equipment for the Armed Forces of the Philipines (AFP).
I find it so amusing that these two Anti-China, Pro-United States (US) Politicians are now so busy trying to involve themselves on the Modernization of the AFP. Especially now that the AFP is buying Php 2 trillion worth of Assets, so much Money.
But their Job is supposedly just to legislate, not help the AFP select which Items to buy. That should be left to the End Users themselves, not the Lawmakers.

Coron Palawan-Twin Lagoon
A Friendly Guide to Twin Lagoon, Coron, Palawan: The Philippines' Hidden Treasure DID YOU KNOW THAT: Palawan has been named the 2nd World Best Island for Beaches by Condé Nast Traveler 2021 Reader's Choice Awards, as numerous tourism spots throughout the world began to reopen for tourists. When it comes to vacation spots that wow, the Philippines has it all. And one place you absolutely must visit is Twin Lagoon in Coron, Palawan. It's like walking into a postcard! This place is all about those unreal blue waters, massive cliffs, and good vibes only. In 1902, Coron was registered as a town, and its name was officially changed from Penon de Coron to just Coron.Palawan is a stunning province in the Philippines that offers visitors a chance to explore some of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world. From pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters to lush forests and stunning limestone cliffs, Palawan is a nature lover's dream.Palawan Island, located in the Philipines, has been voted the best island in the world in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards 2020, scoring 94.83/100 points in an online public vote.
Why is it called Twin Lagoon? Well, it's split into two parts by a huge rock wall. You first arrive at the outer lagoon - the front door if you like - but it's the inner lagoon that's the main event. The fun part is getting from the outer to the inner lagoon. When the tide is low, you can swim or float through a small opening under the rocks. But when the tide is high, you get to play explorer and climb up and over a wooden ladder. Either way, it's a mini-adventure before you even reach the best part! What to Expect at Twin Lagoon •The water in Twin Lagoon is a magical mix of warm and cool, perfect for a lazy swim. And the color! It's a crazy shade of blue-green that looks like it belongs in a movie. If you're looking for a moment of peace, floating here, with the sun and the quiet, feels like a hug from Mother Nature.
Why You Need to Visit Twin Lagoon Twin Lagoon is just awesome. It's a tropical paradise where you can swim, chill, and have a great time. Plus, the journey to get to the inner lagoon is like a mini treasure hunt. What's not to love? If you're planning your trip, the best time to visit is between November and May. To get there, you take a boat ride from Coron Town. Don't worry, the trip is part of the fun. You'll pass by other islands and beautiful rock formations along the way. Twin Lagoon is a part of the usual tours in Coron. But if you want something more special, you can book a private tour. Just remember to check the local rules and requirements before you plan your visit. CORON PALAWAN TRAVEL GUIDE with Budget Itinerary Group tour: P1500-P1800 per pax (All in) Private boat: P2700 for 2-4 pax, P3250 for 8 pax, P3800 for 9-15 pax Coron Town Tour Group tour: P550+ per pax Cebu to Coron Philippine Airlines offers competitive Busuanga fares from Cebu and Clark If you join a Group Tour You’ll be paying per person and will be sharing the trip with other tourists. You’ll find these tours offered by various operators throughout the town. This is great for those traveling alone or with a small group. * Pros: You don’t need to worry about anything else. You just pay one time, show up, and the agency will do everything for you. You also get to meet other travelers. * Cons: You have almost no control of the itinerary and how much time you will be spending at each stop. If you charter a private boat You will need to book with Calamian Tourist Boat Association. Their office is at the near end of the Lualhati Park. They have standardized the rates of boat trips depending on the size of the boat needed, the number of passengers, and your destination. Is it cheaper? Only if you’re a big group. Rates depend on the boat size. For example, for Coron Island Tour, a boat that can accommodate 2-4 passengers costs P2700, 5-8 pax for P3250, or 9-15 pax for P3800. Obviously, you’ll be maximizing this if you’re a group of 10 or bigger. * Pros: Although there is a suggested itinerary, you have total control of your time and schedule. If you want to stay longer somewhere, you can. If you want to skip a stop, you can too. And as I said, if you’re a big group, it will turn out much cheaper than joining a group tour. * Cons: The published rates cover only the boat fee. NOT included are the tour guide fee (P500) and entrance fees. Food is NOT included either, so you will need to bring your own provisions. Fortunately, the public market is near the port and the boatmen can prepare and cook your meals at no extra cost, so you can simply shop for ingredients before your trip. •This is the classic Coron Island Tour. The usual Group Tour rate is somewhere between P1500 and P1800. However, you’ll find tours for only P1300 or even as low as P750. Why the big difference? Check the itinerary. The most iconic attractions in Coron are Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon. Many of the offers we found don’t cover both. Some just include Kayangan Lake and a few other stops, or Twin Lagoon and a few other stops. If you want to make the most of your stay, book a tour that has both in the itinerary. Top Budget Guest Houses Under P1000 If you’re working with a really limited budget, consider no-frills, basic guest houses and inns. Here are the four highest-rated around and under P1000 per night, as scored by Agoda users. * Ahras Place. Coron Town Proper. Check Rates and Availability * Quiet Place to Stay in Coron. Check Rates and Availability
